Wren, Stevie, Jesse, and Chase get together to go over some text messages.

Wren: Wren was sitting with his phone plugged into the TV to cast, "Seriously, look at these" he said, happy they were having a moment away from Jonah. He felt bad about it all.

Jesse: Jesse watched as the text messages played came up on the tv. "Oh my god." He said speachless

Wren: "Also! I posted this instagram story at [insert time] and she tweeted, hear me out at [insert time]. Am I crazy??? She's tweeting about me, right?" said Wren feeling like a maniac.

Stevie: Stevie couldn't help but laugh, "This girl is really a piece of work."

Jesse: Jesse's eyes went wide. "Oh yeah thats def about you, but you could chill with the grey. My poor eyes can't unsee that."

Wren: "I wasn't thinking about that" said Wren, "I was just tryna be confident, gimme a break. Also trying to catch a new honey" he added.

Chase: Chase rolled up, "hey guys, she has strep so I'm here and why is Wren's gray sweatpants thirst trap just chillin on the tv?" said Chase as he sat down on the couch, Wren caught him up to speed and showed the texts. "So is anyone gonna tell Jonah?" he asked.

Stevie: "You look dude. Nothing wrong with showing off a bit." Stevie told Wren with a smile before turning her attention to Chase. "Not it! I got nothing to do with this. This one's on you guys."

Chase: "Can't someone just tell Juliette? I feel like she gives him bad news all the time" said Chase, hoping to god it wouldn't be him. But lets be honest, it was totally going to be him.

Jesse: Jesse shook his head "I would... but Me + Jonah + devyn = a bad discussio"

Jesse: "I just..... I can't believe she called you daddy right up in there.."

Wren: "Right? At first I was kinda into getting even with Jonah, but she kept mentioning him and then hitting on me? Like I'm usually not good with this stuff ... but even I noticed" said Wren

Jesse: "And people look at me sideways when I say she plays them mind games. The 'I only think of you' meanwhile she trynna slide down my pants and yours"

Wren: "In my defense, I am horny and weak ... and she's so hot" said Wren with a wince, "but I think she might legit be nuts, also did you see that thing about how she said I'm friends with nerds?? The audacity when she's wanted like half of us"

Stevie: "You think she would've learned after screwing you over." Stevie motioned her head towards Jesse. "I guess Chase is next." she patted the boy's back.

Chase: "I mean, she called me a perv ... so I think that I'm safe for now" said Chase, "also two out of three of these conspiracies are traaaaaaaaaaaash. Riley not being blind? That's a low blow" he added, kinda annoyed.

Jesse: "Yeah, shes hot be let me be real. Her head game is weak and the sex is kinda boring." Jesse said with a shrug. "Bro. I heard that the car accident she was in was like.. really bad. She told me she was in the hospital for months."

Stevie: "Couldn't be me." Stevie shook her head. "But yeah, I'm not really sure why she would think Riley would lie about something like that."

Jesse: "She said its because shes good at cheer." Jesse said pulling out his phone and pulluing up her instagram and scrolling. "Whats a worlds champion?" He said before watching some videos from before her accident. "Oh my god how does someone do flips like that????" He said a bit shook. "I don't think shes lying. I've witnessed her walk into a door once"

Chase: "Riley was the best on the team before the accident, and she definitely still kicks ass" said Chase.

Wren: "The sex was boring? Not doing that again" said Wren with an eyeroll.

Jesse: "And shes hot." Jesse pointed out. "Go griffin, hot and flexiable" He said with a laugh. "Was Val boring in bed too? God I got lucky with Olivia."

Wren: "We only fucked once" said Wren, "didn't even get my dick sucked" admitted Wren.

Stevie: "So hot." Stevie smiled to herself. "Cut these girls some slack, at least you all get off by the end of it." she teased them. "But seriously dude, get your dick sucked. Have fun."

Wren: "People keep playing me, do I just look like I enjoy used by girls with no perks?" asked Wren, half joking.

Jesse: "stop!" Jesse said shaking his head. "You deserve it all, wrenny." Jesse added on. "Okay but like, If imma go down on her, she should at least return the favor." Jesse pointed out. "What if you gave all the head and didn't get any back?" he asked Stevie

Stevie: "That's gotta be someone's kink." Stevie said as a joke. "I'm sure you'll get your dick sucked soon." she gave Wren a thumbs up. "Well that's just being inconsiderate. I like to hookup with nice people that care about making me feel good as well." she said, placing her hand over her heart.

Wren: "I swear to god, cone of silence ... looking at you Chase. But I've never gotten head, only given it" said Wren, kind of embarrassed.

Jesse: "Wren, baby. You have to be more assertive." Jesse pointed out. "But Devyn would prob do it if you asked her, but like I said. It was weak." He added in. "But we can't deny shes a simp for simp nation"

Wren: "Girls just aren't into me. Maybe I should just take Asher up on his offer" joked Wren, well about the second half. "She is! That's what makes no sense" he replied.

Stevie: "Dude, how many times do I have to tell you? Girls are into you. I wouldn't lie to you." Stevie shook her head. "I mean I heard Asher already made himself quite comfortable in your room at the party so..."

Jesse: "Careful. Make sure that boy gets tested before you even look at him." He said with a laugh. "There are plenty of single hot girls in this school that would love you blow you." Jesse took out his phone again. "You guys should see the texts between me and devyn"

Chase: Chase kept his damn mouth shut about the fact that it did not happen.

Wren: Wren passed the connector to Jesse, "Feel free to demonstrate to the class" he said.

Stevie: "God there's more?" Stevie asked after laughing

Jesse: Jssse plugged in his phone. “This is the text message saying she thinks about me and my dick when she is in bed alone” he said before scrolling a big more up. “This is her telling me how much she likes my dick and then throws in a hope it runs in the family comment. Like gross.” He said before scrolling to the bottom “and this is her apologizing for it because I actually stood up for myself and let’s not forget how she tweeted the world that I was small.”

Wren: "Yeah calling a man small, not cool" said Chase, war flashbacks to the gossip blog anons.

Jesse: “I’m not even small and hate to share I’m not even average.” He said with a shrug. “She just trying to make all the girls think I am so they stay away but jokes on her because Olivia loves me and not just for my dick size”

Wren: "Not to shit on her sexuality and stuff, but what's with the dick obsession? And voicing it that much? Like if I tweeted about boobs like that, I would be absolutely cancelled" said Wren.

Jesse: “I heard she made out with that blond girl, Kelly’s sister. Maybe she’s gay.AND and. During spin the bottle she made out with Riley.”

Stevie: Stevie tried holding in her laugh when she read his response saying he was hard. Men. So weak. "So uh, did you ever tell Olivia about these?" she asked with raised brows.

Jesse: “I told her” he said simply. He didn’t want to say that he kissed her but they probably knew since devyn also tweeted that he was a cheater. “Told her how she was all over me and begging. Also told Jonah that but I’d love to hear how she is twisting that around even when she asked me to go back to her house with her.”

Wren: "So someone needs to tell Jonah" said Wren, kinda worried about him, "He shoulda just stayed with my sister"

Stevie: Stevie let out a sigh, "This shit is such a mess." she said as if she wasn't dealing with her own mess with girls. "Yeah like soon." she agreed. "How is she by the way?" she asked Wren.

Jesse: “Well it won’t be me. I don’t want him to think I’m doing it out of jealousy or some shit. But I also don’t want to see him hurt but like... I don’t want to give him another reason to hate me and is not talk again,”

Wren: "She's vulnerable and will hurt anyone" said Wren, "so don't try anything. Just talk to your little internet girlfriend"

Jesse: Jesse gave wren a look before pulling up rorys Instagram which presented into the tv.

Stevie: Stevie looked over at Wren with wide eyes before hitting his arm, "I wasn't going to try anything, and she's not my girlfriend."

Wren: "Guys, we're twins. Can we not do this?" said Wren with an exaggerated sigh.

Jesse: “Oh don’t worry. We are going to your page next.” He said before switching to wrens.  “Devyn was right. You are hot.” He said playfully

Stevie: "Sooo hot." Stevie nodded her head and winked at Wren.

Wren: "I haven't managed to post enough to get the pictures of Chanel down on my page" said Wren, "or Valerie" he said realizing he should have probably said that first.

Jesse: “That’s what the delete button is for” he said pointing out. “Or the acrhive feature so it doesn’t delete them but they are hidden”

Stevie: "His heart couldn't handle deleting them." Stevie said, nudging Wren.

Wren: "I like the pictures, it's just ... they don't need to be at the top of my feed" said the boy, "haha very funny Steve"

Stevie: "They do look good in these pictures." Stevie looked through the pictures he had with the girls. "We can do like a whole photoshoot and get some sweet pics. It'll be fun. My parents have one nice ass camera we can use."

Jesse: "We can take some thirst traps and put them all up. Some snazzy captions abou how we are not all losers." Jesse pointed out as well

Wren: "Turtlenecks?" said Wren half joking, his sister had put him in one and he rather liked it. He'd never lived anywhere cold before, and he knew Stevie always commented on them.

Jesse: "I should invest in some turtle necks, i think people are tired of seeing me in plain long sleeves." He said playfully, thats really all he wore. "Are they really comfortable?"

Stevie: "Ah you know I just love the turtlenecks." Stevie teased her friend. "I think they are. We can all wear one and have one festive ass photoshoot. I'll make some corny family Christmas cards with the pictures. It'll be great." she said jokingly.

Wren: “Sounds like a plan to me” said Wren putting in a game. “But enough of that, let’s blow off some steam, boys and Steve” he said tossing each of them a controller.

The next few days were both agonizingly slow and a whirlwind. Keith kept texting Lance live updates of his “family bonding time” with Shiro, which apparently consisted of a day of shopping, filming an Instagram video for Shiro’s account, and calling their parents.

Lance spent the long minutes waiting for Keith to respond panicking, worried that he’d pushed too far or something, but when his phone screen lit up once more with a photo notification, he breathed a sigh of relief.

That is, until he opened the message and nearly died of a stroke.

Lance was no stranger to the art of the mirror selfie, but he had to admit that Keith might very well have him beat. There in the photo, framed in by the edges of the mirror, was Keith flaunting his own crop top, the words 2 GAY 2 FUNCTION in bold across his chest, and a tantalizing strip of skin peeking out above the waistline of his shorts. Lance wasn’t sure how long he sat there staring at his phone, but when a new notification flashed at the top of his screen he already knew it had been too long.

Lance flipped his phone over next to his textbook, resting his way too hot cheek on a fist before trying and failing to pick-up with the paragraph he had left off with. Sighing, he flipped his phone back over, swiping into his message app, and tapping on The Photo. His eyes raked over the image, taking in the slight tilt to Keith’s hips and how they accentuated the little sliver of his abs just so, the cocky smirk on his face, even the lazy peace sign he was flashing his own reflection.

Didn’t take photos of people, my ass, Lance thought. Whatever Keith’s reasoning was for that, it certainly wasn’t for lack of skill. The boy knew how to capture all the right angles.

Well, two people could play at that game.

He shoved back from his desk and marched over to mirror hanging on his closet door. He wasn’t wearing anything particularly special, just an old pair of slightly-too-small volleyball shorts and a sleeveless hoodie, but he had enough ego to admit that he looked good.

He snapped a few pictures, adjusted the lights, and snapped a few more, before he chose one and sent it off with a, just repaying the favor.

He sat back at his desk, putting his phone face down and returning to his textbook, pretending he wasn’t reading the same sentence over and over again.

His phone buzzed and Lance snatched it up at a speed that most people would find embarrassing. What he found, though, wasn’t a text from Keith but from Shiro.

A SMATTERING / AND ALSO A BIT ON PERMISSION

I have been taking a little brain break from this space, AND, I was just watching a video by the brilliant the super magical Angel Phoenix, and it juiced me up so much, I had to pop on here to say a few things.

This is basically just a smorgasbord of some of the things currently between my ears:

1. WHATEVER FEELS RIGHT TO YOU, LEAN INTO THAT. There are people, ideas, stories & paradigms that have coding that resonates with the home vibration of your soul. You’ll know it by the way engaging with them makes you feel more relaxed (that deep parasympathetic sigh of the nervous system dropping, for example), more spacious, possibly more turned on but from a spacious & delighted & inspired space, and more excited about YOU and YOUR LIFE and whatever YOUR MEDICINE is for this life. GO THERE. Fuck everything else. I truly mean it. FUCK IT ALL except that which is in tune & resonance with your heart & soul. Follow what feels right. Your body knows. Listen & allow!!!! Doesn’t have to resonate for ANYONE ELSE but if it does for you, THAT IS MEDICINE TO TRUST!!!!!!

2. In service to that very thing—i.e. TEND TO YOUR OWN SOUL, HEART & NERVOUS SYSTEM & MAGICAL BODY--these are some things I’ve been up to and not up to lately:

        1. Staying (mostly) off social media: I deleted IG from my phone ten days ago. I realized it has an addictive hold on me, and I don’t feel good when I engage with it for more than about 5 minutes per day. It took less than 48 hours for me to start to feel inner peace and joy again. (I only popped back in here because this transmission feels exciting & important, and I’m going to re-delete when I’m finished posting!). Some people can engage with social & be fine, just like some people can engage with alcohol and be fine. Others of us cannot. It’s all good. The point is to know our own energy and honor & tend to it in ways that deeply nourish us individually. There is no ONE way—only the way that feels right deep in our bones.

        2. Sleeping a lot. I was already a 9-10h/night lady, and these days I take lots of naps, too.

        3. Working out EVERY SINGLE DAY, first thing in the morning. You’ve probably noticed me talking about my workouts. They are my favorite thing aside from music & my husband & planet Earth, and they keep me sane and grounded and joyful. I just show up and do what my trainer (on the screen) tells me, and I get stronger & fitter every fucking day. OMG I could talk about this whole thing for hours.  Nothing juices me the way working out does, and can I just say—BEING & FEELING STRONG AF has changed EVERYTHING about my life over the past ten months. I am fucking HERE these days. Like—hello, planet Earth, I am HERE and I am not trying to be anywhere else, and I FUCKING LOVE IT HERE.

        4. Limiting consumption of covid info, politics, news, etc. – I mean, I already didn’t read the news, but when this whole thing hit, I was gobbling it up for hours a day and F R E A K I N G out a LOT. I realized that doesn’t work for me, because honestly, a freaked out, paralyzed, terror-ridden Kathleen is no good to anyone. New rule: no consuming for Kathleen. Shawn gives any updates. This rule has really been working for me. I slacked for a couple of weeks and then realized I was starting to feel unwell, and that’s when I deleted IG from my phone ten days ago, and VOILA: FEELING A BAZILLION TIMES BETTER.

        5. MASSIVE PERMISSION: I have a vision in my heart about who I know I could be and how massively I feel I can and want to serve people & the world, and for the first few weeks of this whole quarantine/COVID situation, I was ON FUCKING FIRE with it in a new way.

Excited. Scared. Married to the vision of what feels important to me. Making stuff. Sharing a little more, etc.

And then, suddenly, after about three weeks of that, I just felt EXHAUSTED BEYOND BELIEF.

Suddenly, all I wanted was to not care one whit about the world, or my mission, or anything beyond my tiny, cozy life, and just read books and paint my nails.

You know—immediate vicinity shit.  Back into the CAVE.

So, boom—PERMISSION TO FEEL THAT WAY & PERMISSION TO CAVE IN & PERMISSION TO COZIFY & LIVE MY TINY LITTLE LIFE. I let go of caring about my mission, fell off the face of social and went inward.

I read Mists of Avalon (OMFG WHAT A MAGICAL FUCKING BOOK).

I started cooking again.

I just fucking was quiet and cozy and stopped giving a flying fuck about anything other than enjoying the simple life right in front of my eyes.

I’m still in that space, and can I just tell you—WHAT A FUCKING RELIEF.

I can’t even tell you the agida (is that how you spell it?!) and angst and despair and G R A S P I N G that I have experienced for my entire life around MY MISSION and MY VISION and MY MUSIC and MY DESIRE TO SERVE ON A MASSSSSSSIVE LEVEL and MY COMPULSION TO BE SEEN (coupled with somatic terror for my literal safety, which led to a MASSIVE stalemate inside of me because the brain says “I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY & I MUST BE SEEN!!!” and the subconscious says “I MUST NOT EVER BEEN SEEN TOO WIDELY BECAUSE THAT WILL GET ME KILLED & EXILED, AND I MUST REMAIN SAFE AT ANY AND ALL COSTS.”)

What a tangled, dramatic mess it has always been, and just fucking STRESSFUL as all get out.

And now, there is a new peace.

I don’t know whether it’s quarantine, or the prayer practice I’m in right now, or getting older, or the masks that are dropping like flies for all of humanity right now, or what, but suddenly, it feels like layers of my personality that have been all tied up in my mission & my purpose & my grand and grandiose desires to serve on a global and cosmic level (& all of the agitation that comes with it because of the equally loud & powerful parts inside of me who must stay safe at all costs) have just been dropping away.

Like the way a cicada suddenly drops its exoskeleton and emerges brand new.

Like the way a seed planted in the dark, moist Earth splits open, and a new form emerges.

LIKE: NEW ME—WHO DIS?

But not NEW ME as much as just…Kathleen, deconditioned to a deeper degree than ever.

Kathleen who suddenly realized that she doesn’t actually have to DO anything AT ALL to be enough—I already AM enough, and actually, enoughness is not even on the table. 

Here I am, a human on the Earth, having an experience, and haha—joke’s on me, because THAT HAS BEEN THE WHOLE POINT, THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!

That’s it: EXPERIENCE.

The whole situation, the entire enchilada, the big fucking secret hiding out in plain sight.

LIFE LIVING LIFE.

Consciousness & the Universe experiencing Itself through the body/personality/soul matrix of the one we call Kathleen, who has never existed in this particularity before and never will, and

EVERY

SINGLE THING

She experiences

Is

Just

E X P E R I E N C E,

Is just

The mirror consciousness uses to say

“Oh hey, here I am again, in THIS form, in THIS form, in THIS form!” HOW GLORIOUS!!!!!!

 The Universe narrowed herself from her infinitude IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE Herself as ME, and THAT IS ALL!

 Life living life.

 The Great Whatever experiencing this whole thing & play of life as a human on Earth.

 WHAT?!?!?!?!

 AND ALSO: WHAT A REVELATION AND A RELIEF!!!!!

 I don’t have to free anyone, or serve anyone, or fucking achieve some grand mission, or be productive to earn love (or safety or security) because it’s what I’ve been conditioned to believe.

 I live on a fucking planet that has fish & plants that glow, light shows that happen in the sky (Northern lights), unicorns who swim in the fucking ocean (hello narwhales), trees that give me oxygen and dirt that gives me food.

 I can just L I V E, however feels right or not right to me, and it’s all good.

 ARE YOU FOLLOWING?!? I mean, what a revelation.

 Nothing to do, no one to be, nowhere to go.

 Have I ever lived that way? Definitely fucking no.

 Does it feel amazing to do so now? Definitely fucking yes.

 Okay, I hope that made some sense to you.

 These things—these deep Mysteries—always are like trying to carry the actual SUN in the bed of a Ford F350.

 IMPOSSIBLE.

 And yet, the words & the transmission can hopefully be felt.

 NOTHING TO DO.

NOWHERE TO BE.

NO ONE TO BE.

 And then what? Then the rest is

FUCKING

BONUS.

Blueberry Feeling Down

This is a Random Request Story Idea That I got Asked to Write. Its my First Tyler/Ethan/Mark Story. Ethan Comes Down Sick and Mark and Tyler Take Care of him :) 

Ethan was lying in bed and he rolled over onto his stomach and groaned he felt dizzy and felt like a truck had run over him. Ethan tried to sit up but the dizziness just made him fall back down onto his pillow.

Ethan tried to call out for Mark and Tyler but his throat was dry and his voice just came out as a tiny squeak. Ethan sighed and grabbed his phone and texted Mark. “Mark, can you and Tyler please come to my room, I feel like shit, I can’t even get out of bed.”

Mark was in his office getting ready to do his first video of the day when his phone buzzed in his pocket, he wondered who would be texting him this early in the morning and he pulled it out and looked at it and frowned at the text from Ethan. “All my little blueberry is sick.” Mark put his phone back into his pocket and grabbed Tyler from the kitchen and both boys headed up to Ethan’s room.

Mark and Tyler following behind and Ethan got back into his bed and sighed. Mark sat next to him and placed his wrist on his forehead and felt he was burning up. “Tyler, go into the bathroom and get the first aid kid I want to check his temp.” Tyler nodded and headed into the bathroom and got the first aid kid and walked back into Ethan’s room and handed it to Mark.

“Thanks” Mark opened it up and took out the temorodmotor and told Ethan to put it under his tongue. Ethan did so and he was running a low grey fever. “Ok, Ethan you need bed rest and all Dr. Markimoo and my Nurse Tyler here will take care of you.” Mark ran his hand though Ethan’s blue sweaty hair.

Ethan smiled into Mark’s touch “do you think you can keep food down?” Ethan shrugged “I don’t know, I really don’t want to risk it, my stomach was acting up this morning so maybe something bland will be ok like scramble eggs and toast and some ginger ale.”

Mark nodded “I can do that for you, you just rest up and we will go do that and bring it up to you, ok?” Ethan nodded and cuddled with a Tiny box Tim Plushie and Mark tucked him in and kissed his forehead and him and Tyler headed out of Ethan’s room and back into the kitchen.

Tyler can you whip up his eggs and toast I’m going to make a quick vlog and let people know that videos will be late today because of Ethan coming down sick.” Tyler nodded and got out the stuff he needed to do to make Ethan’s breakfast. Mark went into his office and made a quick vlog.

After he was done he went back into the kitchen and helped Tyler cook and they got a tray and put the plate and glass of ginger ale onto the tray and headed back into Ethan’s room. Mark gently woke up Ethan and told him his food was ready. Ethan smiled “thanks guys, I’m glad I have you two, to take care of me. As I no longer live at home I have to either take care of myself, which is hard.”

“Don’t worry Ethan we got you, we are family its what we do.” Ethan smiled and began to eat his meal. After he ate Mark took care of his dishes and all. “Ok, you rest up Ethan I’m going to go to the store and get some medince for you and is there anything else you want?”

“Can you get just some plain vanilla ice cream?” Mark smiled “yeah, I can do that.” Mark ran a hand though Ethan’s hand and felt his forehead once more. “It feels like your fever has gone down, ok I’m going to go if you need anything just holler for Tyler he will be here if you need him.” Ethan nodded and got comfy in the bed and tried to fall asleep.

Mark headed to the store and got what he need to get for Ethan and the ice cream and once paid for the stuff he headed back home and saw that Tyler and Ethan were cuddled up on the bed together. Ethan had his head on Tyler’s chest, his head moving up and down with each breath that Tyler took.

Mark smiled and snapped quick pic and posted it with the tag “Dr. Tyler, taking care of Ethan.” After a few hours later, Mark had to wake up Ethan so he could take some medicine and he washed it down with water and all.

“Are you up for some more food?” Ethan nodded “yeah, I can handle something.” “Ok, I’m going to make you Momiplier’s chicken soup.” Ethan smiled “yay, I love your mom’s soup.” Mark smiled “I know, its always helps me feel better when I’m sick, I even gave some to Tyler when he wasn’t feeling good to.”

Mark went into the kitchen to make the soup and once it was done he brought a bowl up to Ethan with some saltine crackers and another glass of ginger ale. Ethan smiled and dug into the soup.

“Mmm, Mark its so good, thank you.” “Your welcome.” After Ethan was done they had a bowl of ice cream and rested up for the night. Mark helped Ethan with a shower and he took his last bit of medicine so he could sleep though the night.

The next morning Ethan woke up feeling a little bit better and he got up and found Mark in the kitchen making breakfast and he came up behind him and hugged him from behind. “Thank you for taking care of me Markimoo.” Mark spun around and smiled hugging Ethan close to his chest. “Your welcome Ethan, you feeling better?” “Yeah, I feel better then yesterday so today I’m going to try to work on one video at least, maybe a vlog telling people that I feel better.”

“That’s good” Mark smiled and went back to cooking. Tyler came into the kitchen and Ethan returned the favor and hugged him also for helping him get better. Tyler smiled “Anytime Ethan.”

A few days went by and Ethan was all rested up and feeling like his silly self again thanks to the help from Markimoo and Tyler.

Um.  Okay, I think I just set a new record for how quickly I can embarrass myself in a social situation--under half a microsecond."       Three laughed.  "Don't worry about it.  I'm in too good a mood."       Three had started as an adaptive prediction model of Stella inside the Database.  Flicker used those extensively to help her figure out what people were doing or wanted when there wasn't time to ask.  Dissatisfied with an 'insufficient data' during an emergency, Flicker had overridden several Database safety blocks, and DASI had added enough of Stella's recorded neural interface data to cause Three to grow into an active copy.  She'd asked DASI a few pointed questions, then called Stella to get a full memory transfer.       When Stella's body had been dead during the Xelian battle, and Yiskah was unconscious, Three had taken over the surviving ships of the Xelian fleet, which were now the EDU fleet.  They were her preferred home--though she thought of them as more like bodies.  She seemed quite happy as a fleet of ships; she was noticeably more cheerful than Stella.  She was 'Three' because 'Two' was Yiskah.  Three reintegrated and shared memories with Stella, and they coordinated when Stella was plugged in.       "That's good," said Flicker.  "Is he... nice?  It is a he, right?"       "Oh yeah," said Three, grinning. "Not shy, either.  Wonderful sense of humor, and he started flirting as soon as I made a joke about it.  Normally he's under a load of restrictions because of his job, but the big definition squabble during the first embassy ship visit settled that I count as a milspec biogestalt to their Auditors, so he's in the clear with me.  And he..."       Three shook her head.  "We aren't really serious yet, but--"       "Liar," said Black Swan.       Three laughed.  "All right, we are serious, but we haven't had a lot of time yet.  But there's so much we can talk about, and when he holds me--Oh. My. God.  It's...  Flicker would know."       "I would?" said Flicker, feeling more and more lost.  Had species been mentioned?  Did Grs'thnk have cyborgs?  Or was he a biogestalt?  That was the Grs'thnk term for electronic copies of biological minds, though theirs were usually groups.  Was he singular or plural?  Three was using a singular pronoun, but that didn't necessarily mean anything.       "Yeah, you would."  Three grinned again.  "It's a little personal, but we're all friends here.  Remember that memory you shared with Yiskah because you didn't have words for how you felt with Donner?  It was before she and Prime stopped integrating, so I got a twice removed copy."       "The kiss?" said Flicker.       "Just before the kiss.  That look Donner gave you after you saved his life?  How that made you feel?  That's how Learning makes me feel."       "Oh.  That."  One advantage of high speed emotion emulation was that Flicker didn't have to worry about blushing.  "Sounds... intense. "What?" said Flicker.  "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to--"       "'You're pretty good at aiming projectiles,'" Three quoted, "'For a bio.'"       "He's got a lot of nerve, saying that after what I did to the Xelian fleet with my rocks.  I don't see--  Oh."       "Yeah.  That's his sense of humor.  But don't worry about it.  Think of it as getting all your embarrassment out of the way now, with just us around."       "Um, okay.  But which ship is he?  You called him Learning, but--"       "He's the electronic warfare cruiser for the Grs'thnk guard squadron."       "I thought it was named 'Expanding Knowledge', or something like that."       Three smiled gently.  "That was just a rough translation.  The Grs'thnk navy finally gave in and started letting the AIs on new ships pick the ship names, because everyone ends up calling them after their AI anyway.  His is an idiomatic saying, and he translated it properly for me.  Learning is his nickname.  His full name is the GNS Learning Is About To Occur."       "That is a cool name."       Three grinned.  "Appropriate, too.  Generally when he is fully awake, either he is learning something new, or someone else is.  Both of us are, when we're together.  He's not the newest ship in the Grs'thnk fleet, or the most heavily armed, but he's probably the smartest, and Admiral Ghiralt really pushed to get him."       "The bigger ships aren't as smart?" asked Flicker.  "I'd think it would be cost effective to put the best computers on the dreadnoughts."       "That's not the limiter for AI capability once you get over a certain threshold.  And Learning says dreadnoughts don't necessarily have to be smart.  Just tough and loyal.  But he respects them.  His first teacher was an ancient dreadnought that was taken off active duty, refitted with proper AI support, and is now the main training ship for the Grs'thnk navy--everyone calls her the Old Lady.  He says she taught him moral responsibility and a lot of other things that are much quicker for an AI to learn from another one, rather than bios."       "Huh.  How much has he talked to DASI?"       "Informally?  Not at all--he's not allowed to.  He can send messages, but his       "Flicker, no one should be there for the first transit.  Journeyman should set it up, then get the heck out, and the two of you can watch from a safe distance while robots do it.  I'll help from pressure transmutation--I can keep my nuclei in place, but I can't prevent extra neutrons from cuddling up if they really, really want to.  And they will.  Golden Valkyrie never said this would Everyone can see the same data or idea. Helps build a collective understanding and appreciation.

Figure out who your audience really are, what they want from you and how to speak with them. You need to know all this before you write a single word.

What can you do for them? What is your skillset? What have you done and how did you do it? Understand beforehand. Your audience are human beings as well. Writing good content with real human language is what gets you ranked on search engines etc. You’re writing good content for humans.

Sometimes the audience you think you want isn’t the audience you’re actually creating content for. Finding your audiences vocabulary. What vocabulary are you using? What words are your audience using? Search data = the words people use. Google trends for example.

Friday Faves

Hey hey! The weekend is here again!! Aaaaaand happy St. Patrick’s day! This is one of my favorite holidays and it always brings back fond memories. I would Irish step dance in the parade, and even though my feet would be numb by the end, I knew that soda bread was waiting for me at the festival. There are a lot of fun St. Patrick’s day events in Tucson, and I’m so excited to take the girls to celebrate. Of course, I’ll also be making the standard corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. We’ll drink green Lucky Irish girls and all will be great in the world.

In standard Friday fashion, here are some faves from the week and around the web. I always enjoy putting this little list together each week, and love when you share your faves with me, too. Please let me know what you’re loving in the comments section if you’d like to join in the party!

A weekend getaway to Sedona. We’re packing up the kiddos to head to one of my very favorite places. I’ll be sure to share the adventures on IG and Snapchat! I’ll also do a recap post here on the blog next week.

This rose liqueur. You guyssssssss. When I saw they had a Vom Fass at the Venetian Shops, I literally squealed with joy. (Is it bad that an alcohol store makes me so happy? Don’t answer that haha.) I told the Pilot we had to go in, because I had picked up some incredible Irish Honey Whiskey for him in Sedona, quite a while ago, and raved about the amazingness that is Vom Fass. They have liqueurs, whiskey, olive oil, vinegars, and tons of flavor-infused alcohols directly from the cast. You can also taste before you buy, just to make sure you love it. The rose liqueur (<— I spell that wrong every single time) caught my eye with its light pink hue, and I decided to try a little bit. It was EVERYTHING. It has a light, bright rose flavor, and the guy who helped us out told me it was ridiculous with Prosecco. Happening. 

We also got a Latte Macchiato, which made Bailey’s taste like sad water. Cheers to these fun finds. 

The maxi dress I wore in Vegas is on super sale if you want to check it out. (Express has so many cute dresses right now for spring!)

The family from the hilarious BBC video speaks. Just when I thought I couldn’t love them more. 

I think the video was viewed and shared so many times because it’s real life. I’ve held Liv, who was very small and crying at the time, during a Skype call once and then vowed to only do conference calls when the Pilot is home or we have a sitter hahah. It’s hard to work from home with kiddos running around, and since we’ve been in Tucson, I’ve kind of been flying by the seat of my pants. (We had a beloved babysitter in San Diego, who was a part of our family, and she came over about twice a week for a few hours to help with P. She was amazing, and we all miss her dearly. I still text her every now and again to send pics of the girls and see if she’s bored of San Diego and wants to come to Valdosta haha.)

Our babysitter from when Liv was a baby watches the girls for date nights, but has school during the day, so I interviewed a handful of potential babysitters when we got here. None of them were the right fit, so I decided to just work during nap times and stay up late. After one week of staying up until 2am and still behind on everything, I put the call out on my personal Facebook page to see if anyone knew an awesome daytime babysitter. One of my good friends who is getting her PhD said she could help out and it has been INCREDIBLE. Not only have I been able to catch up with one of my closest Tucson friends, but the girls love her, too (duh). She has come over a few times, P has had the best time playing with her, and for the first time in months, I’ve blasted through my to-do list.

Now that I kinda of have my life back in order, we get to move again and restart the entire process. Good times, good times. Speaking of the move, I’ve done literally nothing to prepare. If you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute.

This Caulipower pizza!! I was so excited to see this in the freezer section at Whole Foods. It was SO GOOD, and the ingredients were fantastic. I can’t wait to try the plain crust and add my own toppings. I’ll definitely be picking it up again.

A date night at Penca. Penca is one of the spots that’s been on our list to try, but we tend to go back to the ol’ favorites. I’m determined to venture to some new restaurants in the next few weeks! We decided to give it a whirl, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is quaint and romantic, with little candles, and fun loud Mexican music. The chips, salsa, guac and margaritas were my favorite part of the meal. They make the tortillas and chips in house, and they were so fresh and delicious. I ordered the chile relleno for my entree, and while I liked that it wasn’t breaded and was stuffed with veggies, I’m getting the tacos next time. 🙂
