I fucking miss when I had a home. I miss when I had a place to return to that felt like I was safe and comfortable. I lost the best hosuing opportunity I'd ever get in college in one of the shittiest cities in my state because my landlord and roommate were scumbags and that was the safest I'd ever felt despite having been called slurs by my roommate. My brother takes things from my room at my parents and my rooms used for storage mostly, I don't even have the free time to clean it. Where I'm staying right now feels violently unsafe because of one man. Where I'll be moving in 2 months is going to feel hellish because no one respects the space, bringing in mice, flys, and other pests that the landlord also doesn't care to fix. I just want to have somewhere I can live independently.
