Tbh if I had the spare bandwidth and didn't mind losing the dollars I've tossed at Gaijin I'd totally play silly pizza music on voice chat when I play WT if I could harass both teams with it. In fact I think they should let me do that.

A Little Adventure
Tech x reader
Master list
Tumblr media
~_~_~_~
Modern AU - this is my first time so hopefully it’s modern enough lol 😅
(Personal HC of mine- I feel like Tech would be considered OCD or even ADD/ADHD.. I suffer from it and I see a few of those traits in Tech with the way he does things and acts about certain tasks)
~_~_~_~
You opened the front door to some packages. Some rather large packages. You picked them both up and wobbled on your legs.
“Tech! Come get these!”
“Coming!”
Tech came dashing down the halls and took the heavy load from your arms.
“Thank you my love”
He then went straight back to his office and closed the door again. You sighed annoyed.. you know this new model he was working on could really benefit his job but you were starting to get a little lonely.
You pulled out your laptop and started scrolling through the news.
‘Getting outdoors proven to help relationships’
Hmm. It was just a silly article but maybe it would help you and Tech get closer again. You smiled to yourself and started to plan.
~_~_~_~
You knocked on his office door and he told you to come in. You closed the door behind you and came up to his desk area. His desktop was littered with sketches and little pieces of metal and materials all over the place.
“Tech you’ve been at this for days.. your eyes have bags under them.”
“I know darling but this project is important it could get me a promotion”
He sighs and adjusts his glasses.
“But it can wait.. just for a few hours. I want to do something together”
You held your hand out and tech playfully huffed. He took your hand and you pulled him to the front door.
“Here put your coat on. It’s cold outside”
“What are going to do outside?”
“Go for a little walk.. look at the trees and the buildings. Ya know, sight seeing”
“We have moved here for over 2 year I doubt there is anything on this street we haven’t seen a million times”
“You never know Tech. You might find something new”
You both walked out the door and you took tech’s hand again. Your journey down your street has officially started.
Tech was already counting his steps. He was meticulous that way.. you gently squeezed his hand to let him know that it was ok and there was nothing to stress over.
“Look. They put in a new Italian restaurant. We should try it sometime”
Tech nodded and took note of that name of the restaurant.
“Ooh! Look the neighbors put new flowers in their yard!”
Tech couldn’t help but smile now. You were so excited to explore he completely forgot about his protect and all the things he was thinking of. You were all he was thinking of now.
As he looked around he realized that things really do change.. things become different or become something new entirely. He looked back down at you.
This project was important but he realized you were what was most important. He leant down and kissed you cheek caused you to giggle.
“Tech!”
You leaned your head against his arm and cuddled his side.
~_~_~_~
You made it back to your flat and settled into your home again. The put his coat on the rack and you followed shortly after. Tech walked back into his office.
Your smile faltered but didn’t leave. As you were about to start dinner he came back and turned the lights off in his office.
“I just saving my progress on my program. Tonight I won’t go back in there..I can help with dinner if you’d like?”
“Of course tech! I’m making stir fry”
“My favorite”
He kissed the top of your head and got down the pan from the high shelf. He put it on the burner.
The pair of you made delicious stir fry and had a wonderful dinner together.
After your dinner you settled into bed cuddled in each others arms. You flicked the light switch next to your bed and took Tech’s glasses off for him.
His beautiful brown eyes looking back at you. You smiled brightly and kissed him on the lips gently before laying your head on his chest and falling asleep together.

Robert Brustein in 1985
Much Ado About Nothing is distinguished by Ralph Koltai’s beautiful setting—a high-tech exterior of transparent and reflective mirrors, decorated with burnished etchings of Japanese trees. At the very beginning a striking female cellist sits on a bench beside the tree and plays some mournful music. It is a lovely moment. Nothing in the production ever matches it. One major difficulty is that the purpose of the setting is never established. One anticipates a new avenue into the play; what one gets is just another pretty decoration, later embellished with revolving balloons and twinkling stars. But where are we? And who are all these people? The costumes seem like 19th-century Italian and Spanish adaptations, the period dances are performed with masks and swordplay (a new R.S.C. principle—when in doubt, fence), but nobody has troubled to investigate why Shakespeare set his play in Messina or what may lurk under the surface of the wit contests, horseplay, and melodramatic con-frontations.

Interior Design Styles
Tumblr media
by Sinem Oktay All designers have a decoration style that they enjoy and apply to their projects, but the client may not feel close to it. Everyone is different of course, and each person has different moods and a different style. What the architect must do, rather than dictating his or her own style to the client, is bend toward the client’s style. If the client does not know what his or her style is, the designer should discover it and describe to the client what he or she needs. So, what kind of style do you need? Are you traditional or innovative? Do you prefer nature or industry? Do you need neutral or bright colors? Feng shui is not a design style, but it does allow us to apply all the energy rules within the elements that reflect your personal style. Here are some of the design styles you may gain inspiration from. 1. Modern Modern homes are simple and not cluttered by unnecessary extra items. They feature function-oriented and colorful spaces.   2. Modern Zen Elements from nature are added to the modern style.   3. Zen A focus on the peaceful and balanced Zen style brings simplicity and plainness.   4. Modern classic This balances the chaos of classicism with straight lines and simple furniture in a modern style.   5. Classic Based on the design principles of symmetry and balance, this style represents elements of aristocracy and loyalty.   6. Ethnic This uses colors like orange and fuchsia and shows exaggerated fabrics as dominant factors in this style.   7. Ethnic modern This modern style smooths out how ethnic patterns are used.   8. Ethnic minimal This is a smooth combination of ethnic exaggeration and simplistic minimalism.   9. Bohemian Colorful patterns, carpets, and fabrics typify this style.   10. Bohemian country This combines the above with English country and French vintage styles.   11. Minimalist White walls and black furniture unite for a plain, calm, Zen-style identity.   12. Scandinavian To make the space as bright as possible, the walls are white, the upholstery is cream, and blue, green, or bright tones of yellow abound.   13. Scandinavian bohemian Colorful blankets, fabrics, and pillows are added to the Scandinavian style.   14. Natural bohemian Natural elements and bright colors are used in this style.   15. English country Highlights the serene and comfortable life of country living with natural elements, handmade furniture, and solid wood.   16. Retro Rooted in the 1950s, this charming and striking style uses bright colors and patterns.   17. Rustic A space designed using raw materials is enough to describe the rustic style.   18. Ecological Environmentally friendly ecological homes feature biological treatment plants, energy-efficient heating, and rain water recycling.   19. High-tech This modern and innovative style focuses on creative furniture structure, with each detail being part of the structure.   20. Tropical Inspired by the nature of the tropical climate, this style employs bamboo, teak and rattan trees, and exotic colors.   21. Mediterranean Inspired by the turquoise blue of the sea, you see similar colors on doors and windowsills, complete with white walls and niches.   22. Neoclassical Ancient Roman and Greek inspired columns, beams, and belts in symmetrical arrangement dominate in this style.   23. Colonial American This simple and plain style started in 18th-century America by using many types of wood, from pine to mahogany.   24. Italian Tuscany Doors, windows, fireplaces, and all other elements are in proportion and balance and harmony, while classical stone walls are companied by yellow-toned walls.   25. French Provence This style brings the pastoral life of southern France into homes. The walls are lightly colored, the furniture is natural wood, and the floors are terracotta or made from small ceramics.   26. Wabi-Sabi Coming from Japanese culture, this understanding stands back from showiness and instead adopts a simple, minimalist, plain style.   27. 70s retro This is a return to the 70s retro furniture style.   28. Industrial minimal Materials from old fabric and other buildings are renovated in this alternative style.   29. Renovation With respect to old historical texture, old buildings are renovated for new function and design.   30. Art deco This style emerged in Europe between the two world wars, and it features covered furniture, glass, stainless steel, dark colors, and modern geometric shapes combined with charming graphics.   31. Baroque This style emerged in Europe between the 16th and 17th centuries and involves very showy folds and details in gold.   32. Asian Handmade objects, bamboo, red and black lacquers, and the color gold are widely used.   33. Africa Red, orange, and yellow colors that reflect the bright African sun are used together with handmade animal figures, dark-colored masks, and sculptures.   34. California beach house: This style reflects life on the California coast using pastel blues and fabrics.   35. Robert Adam Created by Robert Adam in the 1700s, this style has a very detailed ornamental approach for ceilings, columns, and fireplaces.   36. Eclectic This unique style reflects the owner’s own style, and it may combine more than one style.   37. Anatolian This reflects the style of Anatolia using Turkish rugs, Turkish sofas, and Turkish-style windows.   38. Ottoman Inspired by the Ottoman palaces, this style emphasizes ornaments in gold.   39. Floral flowers Big-patterned wallpapers and fabrics are widely used here. 40. Your own style You may create your own style by simply using pieces that only belong to you. Creativity is eternal and limitless, but I hope this simple guide helps, With my best wishes...   Read the full article

La Fin De La Route : ep219
Tying empty soup cans to the rear bumper of a Ferrari is a dubious task. We send off Mr. & Mrs. The Tech Titan in his Ferrari California. Henrik’s finely fettled Italian sports car clanks and clunks down the driveway and into the street. He will undoubtedly stop just around the corner and remove all of the dangly bits from the bumper and continue on to Napa for a night of relaxation and lovemaking. But, the guests love the newlywed sendoff, so it was worth the effort. It’s been a busy week for Me, Floody and Autumn and we close the door behind the last departing guest with a huge sigh of relief.
Me: I’m glad that’s over with.
Floody: I’m going to eat the burnt ends of that tri-tip steak with a nice bottle of red wine in front of the fireplace. Care to join me?
Me: Floody my brother, I’m afraid there’s someplace that I need to be right now, and to be honest, I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back here for a while.
Floody: Go. I understand.
Me: Water my basil, okay?
Floody: Go. The Ranch is in good hands.
Me: I know it is.
Floody: I love you mang.
Me: I love you too. Hey, I want to be an uncle. You two work on that for me okay?
Floody: Okay. We’ll get to work right after you walk out that door …
Autumn: … right here on the couch.
Goofballs.
I toss a couple pairs of jeans and a few shirts into my dry bag and strap it to the back of my Ducati. A divergent path lies ahead of me. If Cheyenne doesn’t take me back, I’m going to disappear for a while. Maybe to Montana. Maybe the midwest. Maybe to hell.
~
Cheyenne’s little bungalow doesn’t leave much to the imagination. It’s tiny and her car is in the driveway. She’s definitely home. I back the Ducati up against the curb and take my motorcycle helmet off.
The moment of truth is upon me. I squeeze my eyes closed and listen for a message from the universe but all I can hear is the rustling of the leaves in the trees. So I step onto her porch and take a deep breath.
I knock, but there’s no answer.
Another deep breath.
I knock again. Again, no answer.
Time seems to have warped into some sort of cruel slow motion visual effect. I watch my hand knocking one last time in slow motion, as if it were the frozen bullet time from The Matrix.
And then I wait …
When she doesn’t respond I turn to leave, make two strides toward the Ducati then decide to sit down on her front porch steps until I figure out where to go next. Failure wasn’t truly part of my plans. I actually don’t really know where to go from here so I put my head in my hands and close my eyes to imagine where on earth my motorcycle will take me. Scuba instructor in the Bahamas? Lobster fishing deckhand in Maine? Maybe I’ll photograph the bridges of Madison County? I haven't really thought this through.
Eyes still closed, I hear a gust of wind rustle in the trees, then the sound of a doorknob turning. Footsteps! I feel the warmth of her body as she sits down next to me and lays her head gently on my shoulder. I open my eyes. Her face is so beautiful, so close. The wind blows a wisp of her hair across my cheek. I’m ill with anticipation but manage to croak out a few words.
Me: You should have been at the wedding.
Cheyenne takes my hand and squeezes.
Me: It was miserable without you.
Cheyenne pushes her cheek hard against my shoulder. We sit for a moment in silence.
Me: Your note … how did you know I’d sleep on your side of the bed?
Cheyenne cracks a little smile. It’s the first time I’ve seen light in her eyes since the mediterranean. What a sneaky little girl.
Me: Floody and Autumn moved into The Ranch. They’re taking over the master suite and everything. It’s their home now.
Cheyenne: I heard.
Me: They’re going to make babies and have a family. So I’m moving out. I left with just a few shirts and my motorcycle ...
Cheyenne: Do you have a place to stay?
Me: No. I packed a little bag and I’m hitting the road.
Cheyenne: Where ya’ headed?
Me: Here.
The End.

LONG RE-POST (NYT refrigerator magnet)
Lost in the Froth Oh, to have sycophants of one’s own. by Heather Havrilesky
My husband Bill and I were lying around in bed, reviewing the big blunders made by the second richest man in the world, previously heralded as a genius, now suspected of falling far short of that term. Bill was trying to figure out how a thing like this could happen. “It’s like you initially succeed by surrounding yourself with smart people,” he said, “but once you get super rich you surround yourself with sycophants.”
Then we both lay there silently, staring out the one very small window in our bedroom at tall oak trees shivering in the autumn wind, and tried to imagine smart people leaving and sycophants taking their places.
“I want that kind of money,” I said, finally.
“What would you do with it?”
“Surround myself with sycophants.”
I meant it. I would make the world’s best tech bro. I would build an office complex that looks just like that ice castle on the mountaintop in “Frozen,” and I would pack it full of yes men and flatterers and panderers and yes-yes-yes men. I’d wear an ice princess gown to work every morning and I’d glide through the corridors of my ice castle offices, singing Italian opera in my searing ice-princess voice.
Amarilli, mia bella,
Non credi, o del mio cor dolce desio
D’esser tu l’amor mio?
And even after my soul-lifting, world-altering technologies flopped and the kitchens in my glass offices were no longer stocked with kombuchas and microgreens and microbrews, and none of my 15 remaining yes men had the energy for micromanaging or microblogging or microwaving the last remaining lunch items in the glass kitchen cupboards, I’d still put on my gown and glide through those glass hallways and sing my morning KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP! team-building, world-building memo in the form of an Italian opera:
Credilo pur: e se timor t’assale,
Dubitar non ti vale.
Aprimi il petto e vedrai scritto in core!
You might not know this, but ball gowns and Italian opera and a castle packed with fawning minions are the only surefire cures for burning out and losing it. If you think about it long enough — if you really meditate on how you, too, deserve to be flanked by a gaggle of sycophants — you might start to wonder how anyone puts their pants on in the morning without them.
This is why people get married and have kids: to create their own thriving microcosms of sycophants. Any spouse worth his weight in microchips doubles as a fawning yes man, a microanalyst dedicated to forecasting the microvariations in the microclimates of his betrothed’s micromoods, micromanaging every microscopic dip and variation in his true love’s micromindsets.
Later that day, at around 5 p.m., I find myself waiting in the very, very, very long drive-thru line at the Starbucks with my two teenagers. We have been sitting in the car for 30 minutes and counting. The line is barely moving. And suddenly I’m having one of those weird out-of-body, Talking Heads experiences where you look at yourself from a distance and you ask:
What bad life choices led a glorious ice princess to this sad fate?
Which brings us to the moral of our story: Anyone who aims to be flanked by sycophants eventually becomes one of them. Because what else explains landing in an eternal drive-thru line just because my teenagers experienced a few microseconds of unpleasantness in their brick fortresses of public education today, so now they’re craving pointless, expensive, frothy comfort? Why else would a former demigoddess willfully subject herself to such indignities, just to send a KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP! team-building, world-building memo to her moody teens in the form of overpriced sugary foamy decaffeinated multi-flavored froth?
And what is it with froth these days? Why is froth so sought after? What warped values led us to this frothy crossroads in human history?
Well. It’s the emptiness, of course. It’s the bubbles of nothing that turn us on so much. Because even when you know your mommy is just a yes woman, micromanaging your micromoods with microscopic microbubbles, the emptiness of the gesture is what makes it so reassuring. Your mom is doing something deeply stupid and completely worthless for your benefit, kind of like when she lost track of the major plot points of “Attack On Titan” somewhere in the middle of the fourth season, but she still sang the theme song at the top of her lungs, every single time, in order to signal her total allegiance to ultraviolent cartoon sagas about gigantic cannibals.
Loyalty is perhaps best expressed in empty microgestures, bubbles of nothing, inside the volatile microclimate of family life and also inside the microcosm of friendship. “Tell me every pointless detail,” you say to your kid or your spouse or your true friend. “Let’s do something absolutely worthless together,” you murmur over a drink that ideally has froth on top of it.
This is the sweet sound of the sycophant. And everyone craves that kind of reassurance. Everyone wants to know that even when they’ve got absolutely nothing to offer, even when the world feels broken and they’re starting to lose it completely, they’ll still be adored like a gatekeeping gaslighting girl-boss in a sparkling ball gown in an ice castle on a snowy mountaintop. Everyone longs to gate-keep, gaslight, and girl-boss their way into complete isolation, the kind of isolation that can make you super stupid and deluded about your own importance.
Sitting in the Starbucks line for 30 minutes with the rest of the complete idiots in my town is sort of like turning myself into froth for the sake of love. I am saying, “I will take this utterly fruitless and impotent action, an abject waste of time and money and brain cells, to secure foamy inorganic chemical compounds devoid of nutrients, lacking any redeeming value or function, in order to signal my love for you.”
That’s devotion. You can show up empty-handed, feeling less than your full self, and you can trust that I will love you fiercely anyway. Take these empty microbubbles of nothingness and drink them as a symbol of my love for you. Enter my glass house. Put down your stones. Drink in the froth of my love. I’ve got nothing, and it’s all yours.
Heather Havrilesky writes the Ask Polly advice column on Substack and is the author of four books, most recently the memoir “Foreverland.”
