what's your opinion on pop culture witchcraft? i think it seems really fun and cool im just not sure how exactly a fictional god will manifest in the "real" world? i was just curious on what you thought :p thank you for your time!
I think that pop culture witchcraft is beautiful and sacred and I think more people should get into it!
My views on the intersection of popular culture (aka, the dominant cultural beliefs and creations at this moment in time) and witchcraft originate from the fact that when I began doing a lot of energy work, I saw a lot of stuff as video game characters & assets.
If I would binge any video game, for the next little while, a lot of my energy readings would be output in the symbols and lore from that game.
E.g., a pokemon binge, seeing Gengar near the querent: "Yes, you're being haunted by a ghost."
A DAO binge, seeing a dryad writing a letter to the querent: "A tree wants to talk to you."
These experiences have deeply influenced my beliefs on the nature of psychism, communing with the spirit world, and divination as a whole. It has inspired my beliefs on how to work with divinatory tools, especially my concepts of choosing your own symbol sets to work with.
After all, an upright triangle is so abstract, but a charmander? For many of us, that is a deeply rooted symbol of fire indeed! And I can't imagine how a triangle might act if it needs to be revived and balanced in my life, but I can surely visualize a charmander feeling sick and cold, or desperately trying to stack and balance heavy boxes.
This inspired me to consider the intersection of popular culture and the experiential nature of witchcraft. After all, aren't so many of us deeply imprinted on and influenced by what culture has told us about magic and spirits? Where is the line in the sand between how culture makes us interact with magic (path), and how culture makes us interact with magic (practice)?
Let me tell you a story!!
There is some internet monster named Momo. Momo has a *very* scary face (to me at least) so be warned if you google.
But when this story starts, I had never heard of Momo. I had never seen a picture of Momo or heard her name. Yes? Yes.
Now one time, I was doing an energy reading for a person, and I saw a horrifying monster woman with huge eyes and a twisted smile like a V slashed across her face, and not only this, but the horrifying monster woman was standing over the querent's bed, watching them sleep.
As a reader with about an ounce of wisdom, I knew much better than to say, "hey, a horrifying monster is watching you while you sleep." Because that is a dick thing to say to anyone.
As I continued watching to try and gain more information, it struck me that this monster woman wasn't threatening at all. She didn't have bad vibes. In fact she seemed neutral, or perhaps even an ally. She was just watching the person sleep.
I couldn't help but notice, however, that I could see her face so clearly. So distinctly. So I googled something like, "big smile scary woman face."
And there she was: Momo! The exact monster I was seeing. It was a startling moment, made all the more strange by the fact that this wasn't some monster of mythical lore or legend. It was like, a TikTok trend or something.
Finally I had to tell the querent something. Now y'all this happened some years ago and I don't remember exactly how it went down, but it was like this:
"Hey, someone is watching you sleep. The form is scary looking but they don't seem threatening at all. I googled it and it looks exactly like an internet urban legend named Momo."
"What? My cat?"
"No, it's a woman, an urban legend named Momo."
"No, my cat Momo. My cat is named Momo. She watches me while I sleep."
So to answer your question, Anon:
I expect that a fictional god can manifest at least as bizarrely as a real cat, I believe that the simple phrase "real world" is an artifact that fits into few reliquaries of the occult, and I think that pop culture witchcraft is absolutely fabulous.

So, I'm not sure if this is helpful for anyone, but a while back I wrote a 'how to practice using someone's new pronouns' guide that I sent to a friend of mine who's kid started using pronouns they weren't familiar with. It's using ideas that I've found helpful, or have heard others found helpful.
Please feel free to share and use it as you will! Here is a link to the PDF if you don't want to use the JPG here, and an ID is below!
Link to google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KBnJ8_20zcEiQd1nJZgCbrwJ1EEqy80Z/view?usp=sharing
[ID copied from Alt: two images that have the following text:
Tips for Practicing New Pronouns
These are some tips and ideas for practicing using someone’s new pronouns, or pronouns you’re unfamiliar with such as they/them or neopronouns (ei/eir, xe/xem, etc.) For this guide, we’re going to write about they/them pronouns, but it can apply to any new pronouns. They can also be helpful tips when practicing someone’s new name!
Here are some different strategies that can help you get used to someone’s new pronouns:
Practice correcting yourself in your head when you make mistakes. For example, if you notice yourself using the wrong pronouns or name when you think of a person, say the sentence again, with the right pronouns this time. This is an important mental exercise to do any time you notice yourself misgendering someone! The more we practice, the easier it gets.
Practice using the new pronouns or name out loud, on your own, or with friends/family/coworkers. Try practicing when the person you’re talking about isn’t around so that they don’t have to hear your mistakes, as being misgendered can be a painful experience. Try telling stories about them, recounting what they did that day, etc – things like “they told me they were going to see their family this weekend” and “they really like to play video games”. It doesn’t have to be very complex, just things to help you practice.
Note: It is of course very important to also use the person’s correct pronouns around them, and not just practice when they’re not there. But don’t treat speaking about them to their face as “practice” – it is not their responsibility to help you get their pronouns right!
Try writing things down! Write notes about the person using their new pronouns, write tiny stories, and practice using the new pronouns. Sometimes writing things down can help to make the idea or new information more concrete in our heads, and can make it easier to remember next time.
If you’re writing messages to or about someone, take an extra minute to double check your work, and correct any incorrect pronouns. Do this every time!
It’s important to shift your mindset from "she is a woman” or “he is a man” to "they are nonbinary" (or, for binary trans folks, from “he is a man” to “she is a woman” or “she is a woman” to “he is a man”). Sometimes our brains like to cling to the idea that a person's gender is what it used to be, even if we know and consciously believe that they are the "new to us" gender. It's good practice to be really conscious about shifting the old belief, and if it pops up, correcting it.
There is often a mindset that they/them pronouns are only used plurally, and are thus “difficult to use singularly”, but this isn’t necessarily true! Often in English, when we don't know someone's pronouns, we use they/them. For example, if you didn't know the pronouns of someone’s doctor, you might say "they" rather than "he or she". It can help to shift to the general mindset of “I will use they/them pronouns unless I know someone’s pronoun preference”.
If you still find it hard to use they/them pronouns for a singular person, try situating the person who uses they/them as a plural person in your mind, as if they are a group of people rather than just one.
Another tip for this is to picture the person always having a small mouse in their pocket! When you are talking about the person, try and tell yourself that you are referring to them and their mouse – they are always together!
Try giving a pet they/them pronouns! Some folks do this as a way to practice – your pet doesn’t care about what pronouns it has, and it can help you practice with someone who won’t get hurt when you misgender them.
Something that often helps is to recognize and understand how much it means to transgender and nonbinary people to hear us using their new pronouns. It is very affirming, and goes a long way to show how much you value someone’s gender and respect them. It takes a lot of courage for someone to come out, and the best way we can respect that courage is to try our best to gender the people around us how they want to be gendered!
What if I misgender someone?
The best way to handle misgendering someone who is present is to briefly apologize and try again ("I'm sorry, I meant [correct name/pronoun/honorific]"). Keep your apology short so that it doesn't become about you and your mistake, and then move on! It can be very uncomfortable to hear someone make a big deal over pronoun mistakes, and it puts the burden on the trans person to then make you (the person who made the mistake) feel better. If you are corrected by someone else, try not to be defensive. We’re all learning, and we all make mistakes!
On that note – it’s good practice to use someone’s correct pronouns even if you're referring to them in the past when they used different pronouns. It  shows that "even if you used different pronouns or name then, I still see who you are now.”
Last of all - try not to beat yourself up about it when you mess up! Everyone makes mistakes, especially at the start. Just note "no, their pronouns are they/them now," to yourself and try again! If you mess up around other people, just a quick "sorry, they" is a good way to correct yourself.
Good luck!

tears of the kingdom (ayj x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 1.7k
author's note: two works in a day, who is she?? anyways my kitsch obsession gave birth to my jock yujin fixation and then this came about so i hope y'all enjoy mwamwa
"zelda...zelda...where is it?"
maybe there was a god up there because the sequel to one of your favorite games of all time, the legend of zelda: tears of the kingdom, happened to come out on the last day of your final exams of the year. you'd been skipping lunch since the game was announced so that you could pick up a copy for yourself on release day. and now here you were, scanning the wall of small titles against bright red spines looking for your well-deserved reward.
mumbling to yourself, your eyes repeatedly raked over the switch covers while debating with yourself whether you should cut your losses and just ask the lone worker by the counter. which you'd rather die than do -- the only person you'd want to be talking to is princess zelda, thank you very much.
a certain someone didn't get the memo, apparently.
"um, hey," you heard from beside you. everyone and their mother could recognize that voice anywhere.
"you're y/n, right? i'm yujin, we go to school together."
of course i know who you are, ahn yujin. resident quarterback, heartthrob, and obnoxious little sh--"oh yeah, that's me," you ended up saying.
don't get it twisted: you definitely saw the appeal if she just wasn't so. damn. loud. your morning would be perfect: birds chirping, wind blowing, and food digesting until you'd hear yujin and her cronies pass the halls making way too much noise for 6:30 in the morning.
"oh thank god, someone who can help me," she sighed in relief. your curiosity was piqued: why was yujin in a video game store at 9pm on a friday night when jang wonyoung was throwing a huge rager on the other side of town (whether or not you were invited is unimportant).
"you do know there's someone who gets paid to do that right over there, right?" you remarked with a raise of your eyebrow.
"i mean, i guess you're right, but i could say the same for you."
how long had she been standing there then?! and how did she notice that...
"touche."
she beamed, showing off her charming eye smile. "well, can you help me?"
"with...?" you asked apprehensively. if there was anything you were known for, it was for reading into things way too much. your friends would go to you last for anything because of how much time you spent directing every little happening. what if i'm being punk'd and the whole football team is outside ready to burst through with their cameras and--
"um, my friend sakura's birthday is coming up and i wanted to get her this game," she pulled up google and then showed you her phone. "you know it?"
lo and behold, there was the cover art for the very game you were looking for.
"oh yeah, i know it. i've been looking for it here too, actually, but it doesn't look like there's any on the shelves."
"huh," she remarked with a pout. cute--wait, what?
"i mean, we could try asking the guy over there? you know, the one who gets paid to look for it?" i asked, looking over to the tall and lanky boy who sat behind the counter who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.
she chuckled. "well, i guess you're right."
on the short trip across the store, your mind would not. shut. up.
wait, she knows kkura-unnie? but her and kkura-unnie could not be farther from each other on the high school food chain. then again, anything is possible: this is a world where ahn yujin could act all shy and quiet, notice me talking to myself, and look like a puppy dressed in her varsity hoodie and cyclers instead of partying it up with the rest of the school.
"excuse me, do you have this game in stock?" she asked the boy -- whose name tag read 'felix' -- expectantly.
"hm, we've only got one copy left though," felix replied after checking the stack of switch games under the counter and placing the lone copy on it.
you and yujin looked at each other, eyes wide, and going through your own dilemmas.
"oh, really...?" you asked.
"yeah, a bunch of people came to pick up some copies throughout the day."
"hm, alright. well, she'll take it," yujin said.
felix hummed in acknowledgement and scanned the game while you looked over at the girl in disbelief.
"but..."
"kkura-unnie's birthday isn't until sunday; i've got time. come on, felix is waiting for your payment."
you didn't even register him telling you the price because you were just staring at this girl. what in the...
"oh, i'm sorry. here you are," you said as you took out your weeks worth of allowance. yujin noticed your face scrunch up as you passed over $70 in cash to felix and couldn't suppress her little chuckle.
you both made your way out of the store with yujin holding the door open for you and the rest of the store to be met with a gust of cold, refreshing night air.
"are you sure you don't want this game? it might be hard to find tomorrow -- i mean, you saw how this was the last copy they had in stock..." you turned your body to face her, arms flailing about as you spoke. all you were met with was an easy smile from the star quarterback.
"don't sweat it, y/n. i saw that you really wanted it and besides, my presence is enough of a gift for kkura-unnie, don't you think? she'll understand," she replied cheekily, causing you to roll your eyes in response.
"anyways, i'll get going, bye yujin!"
"wait! do you need a ride home? it's pretty late, don't you think?"
"don't sweat it, yujinnie," you turned her words around on her. "my house isn't much farther from here."
"don't you live nearby wonyoungie?"
"yes...? how'd you know that?"
"i've been known to be observant," she replied nonchalantly.
"is that just code for 'stalker' or..."
"yah!" exasperated at the accusation, she hit your shoulder.
"i'm kidding, i'm kidding, god did you have to hit me?!"
her eyes went wide in worry. " i am so s--"
"stalker, violent, man, wait until the school hears the truth about their resident heartthrob," you joked, trying to ease her worries, which seems to have worked when you saw her shoulders relax and her trademark smile take over her features.
"anyways, let me give you a ride home. i was going to go over to wonyoung's anyways," she said.
"if you insist," you replied.
quietly, you both made your way over to her car. she opened the door for you before making her way over to the driver's side, the action making you raise your eyebrows before getting inside. she turned on the ignition and reminded you to put your seatbelt on.
"i'm not an idiot," you rolled your eyes.
"better safe than sorry, y/n. i wouldn't want your blood on my hands."
your eyes might as well have been seeing the back of your skull with how much you'd been rolling your eyes at the girl. when she heard the buckle click, she started making her way out of the parking lot and onto the main road.
around strangers, you were usually reserved. you pretty much just flew around the school like a ghost, doing your own things with no one minding you. it took a while for you to get talkative.
it took one night for ahn yujin. what can you say, the girl was interesting.
"i'm curious, how do you know kkura-unnie?"
"oh, we go to the same dance class every weekend."
she dances?! "you dance?!"
"is that so surprising?" she spared you a glance before focusing back on the road. she's got precious cargo after a--what?
"kinda, yeah. i'm learning a lot about you, ahn yujin."
"only good things, i'm hoping."
"very good things, yujinnie."
after talking about anything and everything, you realized she'd already pulled up to the front of your house.
"well, here you are."
"oh. alright," you replied, the disappointment evident in your tone. you were about to open the door when yujin spoke up.
"hey, i don't know about you, but i had a lot of fun, y/n. if you're down, do you wanna hang out again...?" she looked over at you like she was preparing for the worst.
all you gave her was a small smile. "i'd love to, yujinnie."
her entire face brightened up and then she grabbed a marker from her glove compartment. you just stared at her as she grabbed your hand and wrote her phone number down, your face heating up slowly but surely.
"text me, okay?"
"alright, yujinnie. go enjoy your party!" you said as you walked out and closed the door.
"and go enjoy your game, y/n. good night!" she called out and waited for you to go inside your house before driving off.
6 months later...
your morning could not have gotten any worse. you slept in, skipped breakfast, and it was raining like hell. the rowdy quarterbacks were basically drowned out by the storm.
which explains why you didn't notice her until you felt a heavy yet comforting jacket resting on your shoulders, followed by slender arms wrapping around your shoulders. you looked up and saw ahn yujin: star quarterback, quiet lover, and your heartthrob.
"hey," she looked down at you with an easy smile. you smiled back, although it looked a lot more like a grimace as your lips formed a thin line and your cheeks puffed up.
"i saw your messages. i brought you a croissant," she said while placing the paper bag on your desk.
"thank you, yujinnie," you said while wrapping your arms around her waist and tightening your hold on the girl. past y/n would be screaming, crying, throwing up at this, you thought to yourself. she hummed before leaving a soft kiss on the crown of your head.
"i'll go ahead, but i hope your morning gets better, love. are we still on for later?" she asked expectantly. you chuckled. "of course we are, yujinnie. go now!" you said as you playfully shoved her away. she ran off, but not without sparing you one last glance: the same one that got you hooked all those months ago.
"eh?! you're dating yujin-ah?!" you heard from beside you. your eyes went wide as sakura's unmistakeable voice finally settled in.
this'll be a long morning...

I enjoyed writing book 1, I love those characters and I know I will enjoy writing book 2 as well. This book was my first self-published game and I take pride in that even though it didn't do too well financially in comparison to the games I publish with Hosted Games. 😅
Could you talk a bit about your experience and the difference between publishing with Hosted Games vs self-publishing? Like the pros and cons? I feel like you're one of the few writers on here who has experience of both, knows the numbers behind the scenes, etc.
Oh, this is going to be a long one, but I’ll do pros and cons to make it easy. Please keep in mind that this is my personal experience, and it might not be the same for every author.
Pros of self-publishing.
You get the full cut of your sales: as some of you may know Hosted games takes 75% of the sales of your game, and you get 25% (this amount is after the platforms takes their cuts, Apple cuts is 30%, Steam cut is 30% and Goggle cut is 30% however, if you are a small indie Dev, Apple and Google cut go down to only 15% which is great.
No content revisions, no content restrictions: Hosted games sometimes will ask you to change the title of your game or change some content, when you self-publish you only have to follow the platform rules, and make sure to answer the appropriate questions for the platforms to properly rate your games. Depending on content, Steam will block your game for certain country, also Adult-only content gets less views since people need to sign in to see them. So, keep that in mind.
No queues: Hosted games once you submit the game to them, they put you in a queue and they decide when the game will be published, with self-publishing as soon as the platforms give you the green light, you’re ready to publish and sell your game.
You can do Steam-key giveaway: You have access to the game dashboard so you can request keys from Steams and do giveaway.
Cons of self-publishing.
Less reach. If you’re a small author like me, your game will not sell much because you’re doing your own advertising. Small authors = small following and fewer eyes on your game for people to buy it.
You need to pay for the platform fees: Google is $25 one-time payment. Steam is $100 for each game you put on their platform. And Apple is a $99 yearly subscription, so if you don’t keep paying that $99 your game will be removed from the platform, which is a pity because the release month is the only major sale you get, after that, your revenue falls to $100-60 every month which is the case for me.
You’re doing all the leg work yourself: There’s going to be a lot of watching YouTube videos to find out how to upload your games to Steam, and Google. Apple uses something called X-code and I had to buy a MacBook to recode the game in X-code in order to publish with them. Being a small indie Dev, your game might be rejected for the silliest reason such as you forgot to click yes or no on a questionnaire somewhere. Testing, bug reports, and complaints, they all go to you because you are the dev. Unless you have a team helping you, get reading to make time to fix every little issue because the platform will not fix them for you.
Remaining anonymous might be an issue: Apples need your real name in order to publish with them unless you have an LLC, your anonymity is out the door. Google requires your country and home address.
Pros of publishing with Hosted games.
More reach, more views, more sales: They are the go-to for those types of games and they have an established clientele so your game will reach more people.
They do the work for you: You don’t have to deal with the platform fees, rejections, uploading, bug reports, they do it all.
You can be fully anonymous: Although, you’ll have to disclose your legal name to them for tax purpose and money transfer.
Cons of publishing with Hosted games. (Those cons won’t apply for everyone)
I think the biggest cons is that 75% 🤣 but hey, what are you gonna do?
Changing content and name of your game.
Long queue.
No direct access to your game info, if you need anything you need to ask.
Other: People will pirate you game whether is you doing it alone or you publish with Hosted Games. Get ready to cry in a corner like I did.
Take away, I’m still planning on self-publishing and publishing with Hosted games.  At the end of the day, do what you think is best for you.
Number comparison: To give you an idea of the numbers:
Self-publish numbers Sold overall on all 3 platforms Goggle, Apple Steam.
Around 1,500 copies
Hosted Games copies Sold overall on all 3 platforms Goggle, Apple Steam.
Around 6,500 copies.
I’m working on a how-to self-publish guide, for all 3 platforms so I’ll post that when ready. 💕

Who Is Lily Orchard?
Well the short version is that she's a youtuber who rose to fame during the MLP day's as an analyst, as well as a writer for her own comic called "Poke-Madhouse" and "The Sith Resurgence".
She is most famous for her "Steven Universe is Garbage and Here's Why" video.
But of course, if it was that simple, there woudn't be so many blogs talking about her.
Lily has repeadetly abused, lied and taken advantage of others. She has written pornographic content involving minor's, engaged in smear campaigns and so many other issues that it would take forever and a day to cover.
But don't just take my word for it. Below, you'll find a link to various google drives, documents and screen shots. In other words, evidence and proof of her actions. (The list is not complete in it's current form. If you can think of anything else that should be added to the list/receipts that I'm missing, let me know so that I can include them.)
The Receipts:
The Lily Orchard Fan Pack : This archive has a lot of documents that come from her Bhaalspawn days. From fan fictions, games, to her Yahtzee inspired sprites. The above link will bring you to a Tumblr post with the link to the drive. (It offers a more in depth explanation), but if you just want to skip to the doc itself, just click here.
The Lily Orchard Archive: This archive contains a lot of information that I didn't know about. It has links to some of Lily's old YouTube video's from her Bhaalspawn days that have been preserved on Daily motion. It has archives of Lily's old NSFW blog. And it links to a few other people that I have not talked about here.
However, there is dead naming, and links to the 8chan boards. But I think for the archives it does hold, this is an important link.
The Brittany Logs: Brittany was an old friend of Lily's, whom Lily cut contact with because Brittany wasn't playing World of Warcraft fast enough for her liking. (No really.), However, if that was the only problem, this wouldn't have been linked. Oh, no. Lily, using her alter ego Tara Callie, would try to pressure Brittany into being sexual with her.
Tara Callie's Blog: Who is Tara Callie? Well, outside of being Lily's sock puppet account, she was also supposedly Lily's ex-girlfriend. A runaway from Colorado, she was apparently in an incestuous relationship with her sister before her sister passed away. She would then die in a car crash before coming back a few days later after people expressed sadness over her passing, and finally, was apparently arrested for possession of CP and was never seen or heard from again.
(Tara Callie gave someone suicide advice. You can see the post here.)
Blake: This is another person who used to be friends with Lily back in the day, during the same time as Brittany. Just like Brittany, Blake was getting sexually harassed by Tara Callie, in an attempt to trick them into being sexual with Lily. Their friendship appears to have degraded with Blake's mental health to a nose dive, and instead of offering them a helping hand or support, Lily instead chose to further isolate Blake from the friend group, started to insult them for getting into video making, and finally ending the friendship when Blake made a post about Tumblr feminism that Lily didn't agree with.
I will be linking their video on the subject here, but be aware there is misgendering in the video.
Other notable links that I've found:
Blake expressing nervousness over Lily looking over their blog
A fight between Lily and Blake's then Fiancé, that ended with Lily threatening to bash Blake's Fiancé in the head:
https://archive.md/Ari1M [vague posting] https://archive.md/C5Tq3 [Wife steps in (1)] https://archive.md/YG3Bg [(2)] https://archive.md/jeytd [(3)] https://archive.md/kD7V1 [threats to their wife]
Lily Encourages Harassment Towards Ink Rose: Basically what it says on the tin. Lily basically tells her fans to harass Ink Rose by drawing her Ponysona with other women, and to ignore her if she asks them to stop. Receipt here.
She would later try to spin the incident into being more innocent than it was. Receipt here.
JoshScorcher: Josh was an old friend of Lily's, and to say their relationships went up in flames would be... an understatement. Josh and Lily first met during Lily's Bhaalspawn days, when Josh made this video here. Lily would then appear in a collab with Josh in his Over A Barrel Review. The relationship came to an end when Josh posted about cutting someone out of his life, and Lily stated it was her, in a rare moment of acknowledgement. Lily, with the help of Patch at the time, would then launch a campaign against Josh's DnD video's. Leading to him sending her a cease and desist letter. Lily made a video about it that you can watch here, but if you want to see the actual nitty-gritty of the documents, as well as Josh's reply, you can read that here.
Other relevant Video's:
Josh's response video to Lily
Call between Josh, Patch work and Lily
Lily's First Swatting Claim: On October 11, Josh makes a tumblr post (read it here), stating that he is no longer going to maintain his silence on Lily. The next day, Lily claims to have gotten swatted (read that post here).
Animechristy: Who is Animechristy? Well, she's an artist whose work Lily used without permission in one of her videos, and then proceeded to make an entire glass of waters video about after admitting to deliberately causing the situation out of spite. You can watch the video here. Lily, of course, conveniently leaves out sources for a lot of this, so here are some that I found.
Period Comment, Knob Comment, respect the artist #1, Lightning Bliss blocks Lily, Lily's video gets copyrighted, Lily getting mad that someone suggests Christy was in the right, Lily comparing this situation to digital homicide, Lily showing off the copyright claim.
The Opal Situation: Opal was a fan of Lily's who committed the sin of not drawing Lily's puppet with the correct proportions. Rather than discussing this in private, Lily blasted Opal in the open, leading to Opal getting harassed by Lily's other fans. (You can see the original post here.)
Lizzy's Story: If you've followed Lily's content for any period of time, you've probably heard about Lizzy, Lily's ex fiancée. Lizzy has come out with her side of the story, which you can read on her twitter in the following links: Part 1, Part 2, Further testimony.
Edit: Since I was reminded of this, here's a link to the receipts that documented the mob Lily has sent to harass her ex.
Here's another link as well: Lily saying that keeping her ex's name is "reverse Colonialism"
Cypher: Cypher is an ex friend of Lily's who'se relationship ended over World of Warcraft shipping discourse. The reason this is notable, is because Lily began to start a smear campaign against Cypher almost immediately after she ended their friendship. Here's the receipt, including Cypher's testimony.
What the deal with Keffals?
Lily was trying to get close to Keffals for a few months. Appearing in her discord server and streams. However, Keffals then spoke to Zena & Poppy, (you can see video here) and Lily seems to be very bitter about this, if these receipts are anything to go by:
Lily is done with Keffals.
Lily's big speech about Keffals.
Trying to push a transphobe towards Keffals.
Lily twitter about streamers
Lily unsubscribing from a twitch streamer, suspected to be Keffals
Lily being abusive to a friend on stream
Lolo is a friend of Lily's, who was going through a moral quandary over Genshin Impact. Lily and her friends proceeded to berate her and wear her down over this.
Lily then proceeded to joke about how Lolo is the only person she would verbally do this to.
Current Vague Posting:
Just to get ahead of the curve and to save my future self some headache, Lily has been vague posting about someone, and currently many people think it's carousel. This has not been confirmed yet.
Here's a receipt. I'll add more as time permits.
Sock Puppet Accounts:
Speculation over Lily's sock puppet accounts has been going on long before this blog, and it will go on long after. If you want to see a list to all suspected accounts at the time of this blogs opperations, you can find the link here. (04/28/22)
You must be 18+ to view the following content:
The Patch Drive: Patch has a video up on YouTube explaining their story that you can watch here, but the Google doc has more evidence in it for those who are interested in the receipts. The long and short of it; Patch was an artist who turned to Lily for help after being abused by ToonKritic. Lily would then take advantage of their vulnerability to draw nsfw art work they weren't comfortable with.
Stockholm: Ah yes, the infamous Stockholm. The fic contains sexual assault of minors as young as 13, nsfw scenes and bad writing. The Story follows Rainbow Dash and Fluttershies relationship, as they fall in love, get married, and have kids... among other things.
To be blunt, it's underage porn.
For more receipts, you can find evidence of Lily talking about the work here. And of course, this video here where Lily openely speaks about having writen the fic.
Courtney:
Lily's sister. They have come out and spoken about the abuse they've suffered growing up. There would be to much to cover in a simple post, but Courtney has a pinned post that goes over the basic. You can check it out here.
Courtney shares her story (tw: child abuse, rape)
Fics from the Dark Lady Server: I realized I still had the Google doc for these, so I'm going to share it here. These are the fics that Lily shared in the now cancelled, Dark Lady Server. I haven't read them, but considering broken champion starts with trigger warnings for Rape, Torture and Abuse, I'm going to guess these aren't family friendly.
You can check out the folder here.
E621 Account: Lily's account on the site was found, and held quite an interesting array of art work... dealing with underage individuals. She has indirectly revealed that the account in question was in fact hers, and she apparently made a second account that got found out and deleted. You can find the OG links here.
Sankaku Account: Lily's other p*rn account that was found under the name of EbaraTara. This one is far more upsetting, as it involved a lot more realistic paedophilia than the other one.
A few things to note about this account is that two of the artists who were favourite have been caught using real children as references for their works. These artists are called Kaneda and masked.
You can see a full list of artists here. (Masked isn't on the list, but from what I've gathered, that might be more due to the whole being convicted of CSEM in an actual court of law.)
This link will show you the favourite tags, properties and characters of the account, as well as how many images had been favourited.
You can visit the page at your own discretion here.
Finally, the google accounts. I'm not linking them directly, but rather putting up a link that will bring you to the original post hosting them. The reason for this is so that way nobody accidentally finds themselves seeing things they don't want to.
You can find that post here.

Digimon Tamers - Episode 1
Dear God...the vibes are immaculate. THIS WAS SO GOOD! So cinematic! So atmospheric! What a fabulous pilot episode. I'm definitely hooked. I'm trying not to overhype this show because the internet has sung its praises to the high heavens and I don't want to be let down. Let's take it one episode at a time and see how it goes :) (so far, so good).
Notes:
-So many thoughts, so many questions. Firstly, I'm getting the vibe that this is a parallel universe to the worlds of Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. In those worlds digimon weren't a fictional concept (as far as I know) before they became real. In this world Takato knows digimon from video games and TCG before he meets one in person. Also. the world isn't aware that digimon are real, so this wouldn't be in the 02 world post-epilogue.
-A very small cast in this one! Only 3 kids (so far). I think this could be a very good thing. Tighter writing and more developed characters. These kids have barely said anything but they already feel more 3 dimensional than the 02 kids lol. Also, their designs are a lot more subdued which I think helps with the realistic feel.
-Culumon was...a little annoying, but cute at the same time. I love his retractable ears and that he asks a zillion questions like a toddler. Just wish he didn't say "culu" ever 2 seconds lol. He looks like a magical girl companion.
-We're still in Tokyo, Shinjuku this time around. Will we ever get a Digimon MC who's a country bumpkin? That could be fun.
-The gamer in me shudders at all of the new digimon that are about to be introduced. Good thing I'm not a "raise them all" kind of completionist.
-Digimon TCG anime debut! When they were like "Option card!" I was like "omg! I know that! I know the rules!" I wonder if the TCG will show up again or if they just used it to kickstart the plot?
-Takato's school DOESN'T have uniforms!? What kind of anime school is this!? (No seriously, I thought that was more of a rural school thing).
-I can relate to Takato designing his own digimon during class. I totally did that in elementary school too (with Pokemon as my inspo tho)
-I'm not in love with the new digivice design (a little bulky), but I like that it has a keychain strap. How practical!
-I'm not sure where Takato is getting the "tamers" vocab from. I don't think that would be referenced too much in the TCG, so he must be getting it from the video games.
-Love that Takato lives above his family's bakery. Give me ALL the anime food!
-I just googled this, but apparently the "guil" in "Guilmon" comes from "guilty." Didn't see that coming. I thought it might be Gila monster lol. Of course we get another stinkin' dinosaur-like digimon for the MC. Oh well. I guess that's what the little boys like. He's kinda cute, I suppose
-I don't know the main girl's name yet, but damn, what a badass! I feel like we haven't gotten this kind of female character yet. Closest would be maybe Hikari in her edgier moments, but she's more on the sweet side. I know that the furries like her partner digimon lol (Renamon, I believe?) To be honest, I'm not sold on her design yet. I think it's a little weird looking. Maybe she'll grow on me.
-When Guilmon's egg hatched I thought he died lol. I forgot that an egg cracked in half can be a good thing too.
-I was kind of giggling when they kept showing the scientists in their cyberpunk chairs and wearing VR headsets. Very 2000s sci-fi vibes (still looks cool, don't get me wrong). When they kept saying "wild one" I was just thinking "hey I heard you were a wild one oooooh~"
-When Jianliang's sister dropped Terriermon on his face I died lol. Why was that so funny? I'm so making a gif later...
Tumblr media
-My guy (Takato) really saw a rat infested tunnel and just crawled right through it. I hope you have a good immune system because Jesus...
-The concept of Takato meeting a digimon and then immediately realizing "oh wait, a fire breathing dinosaur IRL is maybe not a good thing" was great. And of course they had to use it as a cliff hanger! I'm wondering if Guilmon will be able to speak or if he'll be more baby-like.
-Guilmon's existence raises many questions. I guess we technically already knew that people can create digimon, we've seen that happen. However, we haven't seen it happen so casually/easily. Does Takato have some sort of special power or can multiple people do this? Also, if Guilmon was born at child level, what happened to the previous 2 levels. Did Takato draw those in his notebook so they're just coded in there?
(My questions are all rhetorical...I shall wait for the show to answer them, so no spoilers please).

Does anyone bring up the "Phantom Incidents" in game because we still don't know what those incidents even ARE.
I know the concept itself is at least alluded to a couple times- the girls gossiping at the stairs in Kokatsu is the first time, but I believe Katayama mentions them after the incident at the train station with Kiuchi and Tomoko, and Kayo mentions them later as well- but I think the only time anyone actually explains what they are at all is when Motoha confronts Wonder about disappearing from the subway train and appearing in Shibuya.
I don't know Japanese well enough to really follow that conversation, but leaning heavily on Google translate to help get the part of it that's relevant here:
Motoha: "Later, the station attendant came, but the cyclist was long gone." Motoha: "The person who was hit didn't seem to want to pursue the matter... and said it was his bad luck." Motoha: "The cyclist will also be identified as a "Phantom", right?" Wonder: "Phantom?" or "Confirmed?" (Might mean "identified"?) Motoha: "You don't know Magatsu-kami's "Magatsu-shin"?" (I'm not sure exactly how this will be translated; it sounds like "Evil God's "Evil God [something]"" to me, but Google gives me variations of "Pain God's "I am the Pain God""?) Wonder: "Magatsu-shin?" or "Magatsu-kami?" (Google translated these as "It hurts me?" and "God of disaster" this time. Not sure.) Motoha: "It's a video website. The above are some photos taken on the street of people causing trouble for others." Motoha: "The person who runs this site is called "Magatsu-kami". Of course, this may not be their real name." Motoha: "If recognized by Magatsu-kami, it seems that they will officially become a phantom." Motoha: "Ah, I was actually just passing the time and didn't know that much..." Wonder: "Does it specialize in photographing people who cause trouble?" or "What are the police doing?" Motoha: "Because it is "unintentional" harassment without evidence, it is difficult for the police to take action." Motoha: "... Ah, no, you probably didn't think of taking action, right?" Motoha: "But "Magatsu-shin" seems to be very popular..." Motoha: "I heard that there are more people following the website than fans of second and third-tier celebrities. This is the website..."
So, uh, that's about the best information I have at the moment. People causing trouble that get posted on this website run by someone called Magatsu-kami/Evil God/Pain God/whatever it is?

“Nine People you want to know better” tag game
Thank you so much for the tag @beebundt <3 it was great getting to know you a little better :3 Here are my answers, blank template under the cut. Tagging: @kiastirling | @queenaeducan | @knightdawn | @shivunin | @greypetrel | @demandthedoodles | @xochihuacoyotl | @fadedsweater | @ghostwise <3 No pressure!
Last Song: Spotify recommended a playlist of indie songs from 2010 and I gave in to the urge to reminisce... I have so many memories tied to the songs in that playlist, but this one stands out from my bus ride home today: Spanish Sahara (Foals)
youtube
Favorite Color: Proooobably maroon. It was my high school class color and we were so right for that tbh.
Last Movie/TV Show: I think it was The Boy and the Heron. It was interesting, I have some mixed feelings about it. I think it should have been two separate movies, so that its two sets of themes could have been fleshed out adequately. It was very quirky and I liked the world building/narnia-esque quality to it, and it kind of felt like a return to Spirited Away, but...it didn't have the follow-through I wanted for many things, compared to Miyazaki's earlier works. It feels almost like at this point in his career, no one is allowed to edit Miyazaki lol including himself. I do think a major theme was about retirement and being a creative and not knowing when to let go.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: In order from best to least favorite: Savory > Spicy >>>>>>> Sweet. I rarely want something sweet. My favorite snack is the Tapatio Doritos or the knock-off chili lime Takis from Trader Joes. I will always go for a savory food though.
Relationship Status: You know. A friend today said that "Men think they're competing with other men for women's attention, but really they're competing with a woman's peace." Gave me a lot to think about.
Last thing I googled: The name of a friend of my family's who was a painter. He passed away a while ago and I was wondering if I could find any of his other works. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like any of them are digital, but here are two from my childhood home. They're very large!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Current Obsession: Hollow Knight lore! I just played through the game for the first time (90% completion atm!) and it is such a unique and DEEP world to explore. Super tragic, and while it's very much a Souls game to its core (including the story), it is so, so unique. There's very little like it. So imaginative! And so many twists and turns to think about its story. (I have listened to. like. 60 hours of video essays about it at this point.)
Last Book: The last book I fully read through was Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia! I really enjoyed it.
Looking forwards to: Getting frames for more of my art! I have been so fortunate to collect so many beautiful prints & be gifted so many more, like my sisters got me a whole set of Ghibli-style TOTK/LOZ prints, and they need frames and they need to go up on my wall. Slowly! It really has helped my mental health to start putting up decor in my apartment.

The sad thing about AI to me is that it could be genuinely useful, but so many people are going over the top with it. So many companies are trying to make everything AI, even at the cost of stealing people's content (and often using the loophole of stealing non-copyrighted content). These companies are developing AI faster than the law can keep up with it, so we don't have enough regulation for it.
When I see "AI assistant" now from things like Google, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The product in and of itself probably is helpful to have around, but anything called any form of "AI" outside of video game based AI (NPCs taking actions independent of your actions) just makes me... really uncomfortable.
It also sucks because if they just waited long enough, they might have had people volunteer or get jobs to help with AI training and language learning. They could've had real people manually input things to help AI learn instead of stealing existing content.
As a writer, sometimes I wish I could generate brief AI paragraphs, such as to help with ideas and inspiration (this being very impersonal, not using existing franchises/character names, etc, or the ones that let you just input character names and that's it), but now the thought of using AI just... makes me uncomfortable all around, because I have no idea if the AI prompt generators have also had stolen works fed to it. I don't know what generators might be legit and what had entire books or fanfictions fed to it. Anything I would want to generate for an idea now might generate based on stolen content, and I hate that.
AI could have been actually helpful and legit, but now it's a fucking mess and huge companies are using it in a way that both steals from creators and leaves people out of a job or potential job. Voice AI is all around just a massive fucking mistake to me, like throw that shit in the trash.
Now I don't know what AI out there exists on theft, and honestly, probably all of them do now. Even if the companies who backed them didn't intend for users to feed it existing content, the users will do that and the machine will learn those things regardless of that not necessarily being the company's intent. It's not necessarily always the company at fault, but the people using it and what they feed it. In some cases it's the companies as well, urging people to basically do this.
Now the concept of AI anything at all just makes me... so uncomfortable and it's ruined so many things and caused so much stress for people. If I see something AI powered I completely avoid it, even if it could be useful... and also because I never know when that shit is stealing my data or learning off anything I do that I didn't give explicit permission for.

Crym and Punishment Sometimes murder is allowed as a treat. (Not for you though, peasant)
Nobody knows who Crym is so just pretend she's 2P and call this piece 2Crime 2Punishment... Incidentally a good alternate name for Yorda Hark Adopadypse
There's this funny thing about Y:DA that plagues my mind ever since I noticed it. I won't go into their context, but there are several nods and references to CrimePun in Y:DA like for starters
Konogg distracts the player with a silver watch just like Raskolnikov before he murders a woman
Glagg grows delirious and paranoid after his 'perfect plan' causes an unplanned death just like Raskolnikov after he murders a woman's sister
Themes of Social Hierarchies and Atonement
and of course
There is a quest literally called Crime & Punishment
and once you notice that you might start to see certain things about the story that will clear up to you that Yoko Taro is a crazy person wtf wtf wtf. Here? Here out of all places? Right in front of my Quirky Video Game Cross-Over?? Did you really think anybody would take this seriously enough to notice any of this???
And I'm perfectly fine with being that guy who shouts into the void that "actually Y:DA is the best, just read this 15-page essay I wrote about how this thing and this thing actually reference a book you don't care about and then three jumps of moon logic later we find ourselves discussing the social mobility of minorities and video games as an art form because I guess that's my life now" only to be told "Bro, It's not that deep" - There is just one problem:
The quest is not called "Crime & Punishment" in Japanese. It's vaguely resembling it in a "X and Y" scheme, but as far as I can tell (using google) it's only called Crime and Punishment in English and German (not in French though) which means my case for "this is defo on purpose" - the only metric of good writing besides "did i like it" - is relying on interpreting a piece of media, which as we all know is not a thing you do with video games.
This situation however also means that one of the following has to be true:
YT meant to do all these CrimePun references and expected people to pick up on them without namedropping the book and the Eng & Ger Localisations knew that (bc of translation notes or something like that) and added a direct reference bc the original quest name was similar anyways.
YT didn't mean to do that and the Eng & Ger Localisations either on their own or together realized that Y:DA had parallels to the book and decided to write CrimePun references into this quest line on their own.
This is just a massive coincidence and everybody involved referenced themes and details of a book that was then also mentioned in two seperate translations by name purely on accident.
Needless to say it's definitely the last one which makes me boo boo the fool as we all know Yoko Taro is a loser and has never used subtext in his life. But if I were ever able to ask him and/or the localisation (who kind of have to know bc they translated it) anything, I would ask them if Y:DA is referencing this book on purpose or not... (YT wouldn't answer that and laugh at me. And then he would call the cops to get me out of his house.)
Anyways, some final notes:
For the background I painted over a woodcut print of the Pulkovo Observatory bc I was lazy and backgrounds are hard. I will accept the withdrawal of my 'Mediocre Art Hobbyist' card for the sin of not being a real artist
Crym's outfit is supposed to resemble Raskolnikov's with his stupid little hat, but we all know that guy's clothes would not color match
....i am indeed actively working on a y:da video essay... i'm sorry in advance... i don't even care about anybody watching it i just want to talk about my favorite piece of video game ever (yes it has gotten that bad please call help)

I'm on a rant now so ignore me if you want
My analysis of the Jedi during order 66 and after.
All of the Jedi literally going extinct in the matter of minutes is sad because no one was spared but in my opinion the two saddest deaths have to be Plo Koon and Aayla secura. Plo's bros was everything to the Wolfpack then the chips activate in all the clones and Plo doesn't even see his own death coming as he's shot down. Then you have Aayla secura who's death was also the saddest and the most brutal. In the comics, if I remember correctly, she and Bly had a romantic relationship. So to be in love with your own commander and then be brutally killed by him and continuing to be shot at even after you're dead is what makes it even sadder.
Now, after the movie came out the only two Jedi that were still alive were Obi-Wan and Yoda because we didn't even know if any other Jedi had survived and if they did they went into hiding. Then after the movie comes out you get all these shows and video games. In the series finale of clone wars Ashoka is still alive only because of Rex helping her after getting his chip removed and also because of Anakin's training (if you haven't seen tales of the Jedi I recommend it). Then you have the mandalorian which has grogu being confirmed as a Jedi youngling that survived thanks to another jed (I don't remember his name) so now you have two more confirmed Jedi that survived (I'm pretty sure the Jedi that saved grogu died along the way but it's never been confirmed). You have the bad batch which is also about clones but they did help a wookie that was a Jedi get back to his people (hopefully he survived). you also have Cal Kestis from Jedi: fallen order (I've never played the game) who survived by escaping thanks to his master so you have one more Jedi that survived. as far as I know you have Quinlan Voss. I don't know how he survived but according to Google he does. Last but not least you have Caleb Dume who survived thanks to his master and also to Hunter (kinda). now you have 9 surviving Jedi in total. There may have been more but we just don't know. But with all these new shows, movies, and video games the number of Jedi that survived has gone up (according to Google it has).
After the Jedi were extinct Palpatine knew that there were Jedi that were alive so then you have the Jedi purge where surviving Jedi were hunted down and then you have people like Baylon Skoll from the Ashoka series that survived but turned to the dark side and have the inquisitors that were once Jedi as well but also turned to the dark side
In conclusion, the Jedi may have gone extinct but there were those that survived and the future Jedi such as Sabine Wren. Maybe one day the number will continue to go up with new projects but for now I think we have a pretty steady number
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk and listening to my unhinged thoughts on the Jedi. Have a good night you lovely people

Bad Batch reaction, EP 15 and 16
Seriously had no time before, I'm so sorry
WHO IS YOUR CONTACT ECHO???
Love that Tech is stanfing in for Crosshair, even though in season 1 he said that he doesn't agree with his point of view
Lol, Pirate lady is still on it 🤣
WHY is that dudes name Hemlock? What kind off name is that?
Seriously, is it a pun that just doesn't make sense in germany or so?
Yes Wrecker, you're absolutely right, we also missed Echo
Sneaky operations again
The soundtrack reminds from that on story with the wolf eating that boys duck or goose, I always forget the name of
Offensive side eye towards Wrecker
Wrecker don't look down
Of course he looks down
Dr. Hemlock really be like: "who even cares about human rights? I don't."
Also screw Tarkin, no one likes you
I love how everything is already going so much smoother because Echo is back with the team 🤣
Omega just put on video game stealth mode
Echo helping Omega by causing chaos, just showing his 501st side
That guy just sighing like: I don't get paid enough for this
Hello there Saw Gerrera
Listen to Tech, you didn't really thought about this on long-term status
Hemlock got a resting bitch face
Echo is here to do the job
Yeah, that does look like a problematic situation
Ep:16
Hunter just throwing Tech up basically
Tech be climbing
Tech be walking
Tech be jumping
Tech be doing his tech
Another day of Tarkin generally not caring for people's lives
Tech be running
Hunter be shooting
Tech be hanging
Why is he hanging there like my mental health during exam period
DON'T you dare Tech
Dammit, that really was to much character development for him this season
TECH, YOU JUST GAVE OMEGA MORE TRAUMA RIGHT NOW
Why is Omega just losing he framily again, and again and again
She just needs a lot of therapy at this point
Our boy AZ is finally back
Man, I think I forgot to mention how much I like Omegas mew hairstyle, Hunter gave her some haircare lessons
I can see the pain in Hunters eyes, how is that possible
Their agreeing on a peaceful future, just what could go wrong from here one
Echo just lost another brother, again, this is so sad
Like, he's not trying to deny anything, or to show sadness, he's just sitting there alone and looks so tired about everything
He's been through so much hell at this point, and it just doesn't end
ZID NO, you just lost my last respect for you 😑
Hunter, since when did Omega ever listen to you in a situation like this?
As long as you're not showing me Techs corpse he ain't dead
His cracked googles don't prove anything 😤
I don't think if anyone ever told Hemlock, but he's clearly not that good at talking to children
Echo causing chaos to save his friends
And Hunter and Wrecker not even questioning who it is 🤣
He may be a Reg, but he's an Arc trooper from the 501st
The chaos is in his blood
How did the Bad Batch go from: 4 - 5 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 5 - 4 - 3
Noooo, I can sense the upcoming trauma for Omega
WHAT
OMG the theory was correct
I don't even think it was such a big theory of her being a clone, I only saw a few people talking about this
Anyways, miss pretty red glasses is actually a clone
WHY ARE YOU WORKING FOR HEMLOCK?!
WHAT
DON'T JUST END IT THERE
How can they just leave us like this?!!!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
I can't believe they are just leaving us at that 😭 I hope we won't have to wait to long for the next season. I can't deal with this.

Get to know me - Tag Game
Hi Ash! [@lilypixels]
I'll finish editing this later and tag other people. Enjoy 🌻🦋
🎵 Last song: Flowers - Honeywhip // Tickled Pink - Nash. I don't remember which one was the last.
🎨 Favorite color: Orange! 🧡 (Though Purple comes in second. I use it more because I'm still puzzled on making orange not clash with literally everything on my designs.)
📺 Currently watching: Nothing. My YouTube "See later" playlist has more than 400 videos. Send help.
🍿 Last movie: "The Big Short". I was watching it for school to understand the 2008 crash. Didn't accomplish much, still somewhat enjoyable, 6/10.
📖 Currently reading: copious amounts of found family fluffy fanfiction. (Oh hey, alliteration!).
But I'm also trying to read "Sapiens" by Noah Yuval Harari (I give it a solid 9/10. Amazing thesis, could be slightly more engaging)
😋 Sweet/spicy/savory: savory!
🔍Last thing I googled firefoxed: the original name of "The Big Short". In portuguese it's "A Grande Aposta" and I didn't know whether it was a direct translation (it was not).
For non-ask purposes, it was "Social Evaluation in preverbal infants", to use in an essay. It's actually amazing: the study hints towards the human moral compass being inherent/biological, given that babies tend to prefer puppets previously shown to have pro-social attitudes towards another puppet, rather than the "mean" ones.
🪩 Current obsession: I'm jumping between my original stories like a bouncy ball. All the blorbos want my attention at the same time, after spending weeks hibernating. It's unfair. I love them, though.
📝 Currently working on: School matters, 95% of my time.

DBH MODDING (1) - HOW I MADE JUICY
Hi everyone :) I'm going to start a lil mod diary because I'm trying my best to learn how to do stuff with like, 0 prior understanding. I'm writing everything I find out because frankly, I can't find info like this elsewhere. I have to figure everything out myself. If you're like me, and have no experience or knowledge in manual modding what-so-ever, I hope this series of entries will help you! If anyone has any information or extra points, PLEASE say something lol. If I'm wrong, I'm begging you to correct me!!!
It's currently 30/12/2022 and for the last 3 days, I've been looking at modstuffs for Detroit: Become Human. I started with the browser model swapper and successfully located the game file it needs. For me, I downloaded DBH through Steam, so I go the HDD (where I keep my Steam stuff) > steamapps > common > Detroit Become Human > and the file will be in the list of BigFiles. HOWEVER I made a new folder just on my HDD called "Original BigFile_PC idx" and copied and pasted the original file into there so if anything breaks, I can just plug my original back in.
Tumblr media
That's how I can get shots like this, because I swapped Connor's game model for North's:
Tumblr media
I have been hanging out in a DBH modding server, and they're talking words my uneducated ass can hardly understand. But what I have picked up is this:
Mokit is like, movement capture? Like how Bryan explained that the little dots on his face capture the actors movement. And there are a bunch of cameras and stuff. idk here's a YouTube vid. So anyway these movements are saved in files and you can switch mokits with characters.
Pretty sure points on mokits are labelled or something, because in the model swapper, an elbow is an elbow, whether you're North or Sumo.
And so also in the model swapper, you can switch out these files. I have no idea how to do this manually. I haven't experimented with the mokit swaps yet anyway.
After that, I downloaded the Custom Texture Tool (also found in More Tools) and yesterday I cracked it open. Here's what it looks like upon opening:
Tumblr media
I locate my game through HDD > steam > steamapps > common > Detroit Become Human. Then this all comes up on the left:
Tumblr media
And I'm like dang. I have no idea what any of this does, but what's really cool is that I can see which files are attributed to which BigFile (which I previously couldn't open). Immediately I go for the catalogue, because SURELY that's where the textures live. It looks like this when I open up the Catalogue tab.
Tumblr media
I chilled out and browsed the files for a bit before searching for Connor. I really liked how these files are named just because of story structure and specific scenes. It makes so much sense, thank you CONNOR_INTO2.
Tumblr media
So rn I can't view a lot of files and I didn't quite understand why, but after a quick Google, it's because you need a specific program to grab em. But anyway, you see that black-red-green-blue square in the third row fifth column in the screenshot? I was like oh man. I know what THIS is for. I export the DDS file (I save the image) and it opens up in PAINT DOT NET. so im like ok ok i'll do it. I gotta.
Using Common Sense, I swatch the red and the green and I keep the text in the parameters of where the old text was so that it goes on Connor's uniform in the right spot. I have no idea what the red and green colours mean. After that, I save it as a separate file in another folder on my HDD. Here is a comparison of the before and after:

I don't know why they have to be upside down, but yep. + Sorry, it's unfortunate I can't upload the Juicy texture to this post. Must be to do with the DDS file format or whatever.
Anyway, this was the result:

So I'm like okay, I understand this a little. I want to colour other stuff. After a whole bunch of dicking around with files (and I will not document my painful process), I watch a video on texture maps. My mind BLEW because:
I could identify the normal maps (purple ones).
I understand now that roughness maps will be the maps that make uniform textures shine or not. (I don't know which ones are roughness maps yet).
A few more things:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Connor's uniform jacket and this is his belt, but they're completely different texture maps. I have no idea what the red and green mean. Maybe it's to communicate to the roughness maps what to apply? (Shiny belt buckle vs leather strap.) And for Connor's jacket, here is where I can change the colour and look, but it won't change the fabric texture and actual shape. Anyway, so I'm going to download a 3D model program to see if that gives me a better understanding of things.
I'll update you soon!

Not so much trivia this time as it is an open question about Yorda's language. If you go to the Team Ico Wiki and look to the Runic Language page, you'll see both the chart displaying each hieroglyph from A-Z and a table giving you a word association that helps show how the letter and image are related. The A-Z chart is easily verified by early pages of the Japanese ICO Guidebook. On page 2 you can see all 26 letters placed in an order, which is a very simple, effective way of informing us that each letter on the wiki's chart is correct. But now here's the thing that bugs me. The table. The symbol-to-English-word correspondence. It is very obvious what some of these symbols indicate. A = Ant is a great example of the plainly obvious. But as it goes on, I begin to wonder where these interpretations are sourced from. How did someone figure out the shape of the Runic F represents 'Fall' or H = Hide? Like, yeah, now that it's been said, I can squint at it and see what was meant, but... Who determined this? Is it from a fan or an official source? Doesn't say. But that table has been on the page since it was created in 2009. So I went down a rabbit hole. And for about 9 hours I have been google searching with both English and Japanese terms, trying my best to track down where this info may have originated. I used the Wayback Machine, I used Google Lens to help translate images, and most searches didn't touch a year above 2009. But the worst part is that I came back empty handed. The only thing I determined is that the user who published the wiki page has vanished off the face of the web, and that modern Japanese ICO fans also inquire about the word associatio. But when they do they either try to figure it out from scratch or turn to the Team Ico Wiki for their info. So if the info did come from a Japanese source, it's possible their side of the fandom lost sight of it too. This is something I feel is going to bug me for a while.
I've wondered about this before too!
For those who don't know, here's a video showcasing the Runic alphabet, as well as the word that corresponds to each symbol:
youtube
Like you said, every single article that you can possibly find on the language lists the Team Ico Wiki as their primary source for the information, but the symbol to word association is never explained in detail.
So, it was either explained to someone by Kei Kuwabara (the Team Ico member who created the language) or a fan out there had to struggle to come up with feasible words for those symbols that are harder to make out. In hindsight, it wouldn't surprise me because even the colossi names that most of us use (Valus, Quadratus, Gaius...) are actually not canon. They were created by an obscure user and spread like wildfire to the point of people not even knowing that the team had totally different names for them while in development. But we have proof of that, even if it's buried deeeeeep in old forums, so if that's the case we should be able to find who did it too, but we can't. Plus, and even though they're listed on the wiki, the fan given names for the colossi are clearly stated as such.
One thing that surprises me is the extensive use of mainly english words for each symbol, with the exception of J, X and Y, whose corresponding words are japanese (jiisan and yoke) and greek (xoanon. how would one even know this?). Although Team Ico uses english names and words here and there (heck, they named one of their protagonists Wander), I have the feeling that they rely on japanese terms more often. So to me, this had to come from someone who is either japanese or fluent in the language, because judging from the symbols, many fans could guess jiisan for J, but not everyone would guess yoke for Y.
Canon or not, each symbol is clearly meant to have a corresponding word, but there's zero sources for that one piece of information, plus the Team Ico Wiki doesn't list any source of its own for this so we're left in the dark. I doubt it came from the game files or something because people have investigated them in the past and no one mentioned this. For a fanbase that's an expert in finding things, it's surprising that seemingly no one can provide a source for this.
So as usual, I'm kindly summoning the help of each and every single of you out there who might know something about it!

Z
We met on the apps. They had 2 pictures, selfies both, looking from above, a little unruly, polo branded hoodie, and despite being dark haired/eye'd the only thing you can think is blue steel. There was some very formal texting with what read like a pre-formulated text about education (very good university), interests (history, books), a high flying job (private equity). A self-deprecating, not humble outro though, "nothing too exciting". There were questions, a rarity on the apps, so taken and answered with joy, but a hesitation on their side to share more. I tried to get an impression, asked for siblings, cars, when they lat took public transport (they named a day three weeks ago), homes, last vacation, what the enjoy. Answers were short, very short. Every typos was corrected, though. I insisted on a last name, another picture, something to help me google ultimately, as the little I had revealed would easily and quickly get anyone to my social, professional profiles, my full name, pictures personal and professional. But this person nothing, would I trust to meet them without any of that, am I being duped, catfished? Z was furious, disconnected on the app, bye'd me via text. They felt betrayed, mistrusted.  I didn't understand why. A day later they texted again, because they "liked me". I asked them to send me a voice note so I'd know they are real. They said they'd call later. They did, with a very deep and strong but gentle voice, and talked for 1,5 hours. Rare questions inbetween. A fantasy of me in their favourite team’s football shirt. And nothing underneath. I asked for a picture of the shirt, got to choose between colors, picked dark blue. Subsequently I followed football games and results over the next few days. The team never won. They challenged me to show how committed I was by "showing my interest". Interesting to them were fantasies where a third person, ideally a man very similar in their status was in some sort of sexual activity with me. Z became territorial, possessive, jealous. And competitive. I got my first dick pic (ever), later a video of them, their dick coming. A very good dick pic, a very good video. We agreed to meet, on the weekend, a late Sunday morning, in Regents Park.
In the morning I text to confirm, they say they are tired. Guess what, me too, we texted forever the night before. They say they look disheveled, they say they don’t feel themselves. I ask whether they are nervous. A strong no. You better get up and shower and be there then, I write, starting to get annoyed. I’m early, I wait under a beautifully blooming cherry tree at the corner of the park. Tourists and locals come by and take pictures of the tree, themselves under the tree, maybe me under the tree. I take pictures of me under the tree, not happy with the angle. They are late but then swiftly approach, tall, similar to their pictures, more pale maybe, a distant hug, akwardly we agree to walk towards the park, it drizzles, we find a cafe next to the tennis courts, their selection is bad, we order, I pay, we go outside but all is too wet with the drizzle so we go back inside, a window table, and then they talk again, for maybe 1,5 hours, their work, their former work, their new work, their challenges with all of them, histories of all of them. There is no question, there is limited eye contact, they spill all their sugar over themself, which I like because for its implications. I smirk for the absurdity, think about how I get out of this. When teas and coffees are finally empty, I suggest we walk a little in the park. Why did I suggest that. They seem to know their way. I ask why they don’t ask questions, they say they first want to understand whether there’s interest. I say I text with you all night, I say I’m here, I say I ask all these questions, how much more interest does it take for you to ask a question. They say we have been in a conversation the whole time, haven’t we. I say it was very much a one-way conversation. They say, oh, you mean a two-way conversation. They bring me to a secluded garden, nicely organised, benches in hedges. It’s raining more heavily, we sit down, my umbrella guaranteeing some distance. I can tell this is ending soon, also knowing that his parking meter ends in a bit. We take the rain as an excuse to leave. Limited words then. They say let me show you some interest, they pull me in, and start with wet, a little strong, impatient kisses. I am surprised, and I like the surprise. Their beard is very soft. I like touching it. I say that I like touching it, they are pleased with that. They grab my butt, I say I don’t like that, rarely ever but never in public. We stop kissing and move on, realising that we were in a picture frame of some youngsters documenting this park section’s cherry blossoms, with a tripod no less. I apologise, they giggle. My co-kisser is un-phased. A little further I pull them in, wanting more kisses, why, it wasn’t that great before. Still: a kiss in a park in the rain with a soft beard. They say, oh you want more. The same happens the other way round a little further onwards. We exit the park, indecisive strange silence. We kiss once more at the street corner where our paths split, they grab my butt again, I say, I told you I didn’t like that, narrowing my eyes, pull away and say bye. They say good bye. We part, not looking back. I think what did I do. I decide that this was it. In the afternoon I get a text “good afternoon”. I don’t answer until late at night explaining that I’d want something more interactive, reciprocal, two-way-dialogue-y. Wishing them well. Ha! There’s no answer.
A few weeks later, maybe three, a text. “good afternoon’, then apologies. Apologising for communication style, citing nervousness. Self-depreciation, and then a shift, connecting to earlier fantasies. To fantasies where they had introduced a third person, to totally perform their competitiveness, to show their possessiveness and jealousy, to show how much “better” they are. It only worked with the fund manager. I introduced a male barista (who made me laugh and made me cum), I introduce a female bookseller (who could touch and talk to me like no other), I introduced Lee who wanted me to bend them over and shared pictures of stockings to select from, and after I chose shared pictures wearing them with nothing underneath. Allegedly they all were no competition as they lacked the high quality education and the finance career that all of them, presumably, weren’t able to look back on. I was bored, I didn’t need a third and said so multiple times, it wasn’t heard. I feigned tiredness, I feigned a dying phone battery, I feigned a not working internet. They were frustrated but didn’t understand. You are enough, I’m interested in you, I want to see feel read what you fantasise about us if no-one else is there to compete. It didn’t work. I logged off. A few weeks later, repeat. A few weeks after, repeat. More weeks after, repeat. Always pauses of two, three weeks, me drawn in again. I ask: did you miss me. They answer: yes. I ask whether they liked the kisses in the park, they did and asked back. I did, I said, a little rough maybe, for a first encounter. Yes, that was my nervousness. We repeat this many more times. We are 5 months in now. I’m being asked to confirm that - again - I had a full weekend of activities and friends, and whether I realise my privileges, I do, and outline that some - of what they think are privileges - are based also on decisions I took: no kids, a lucrative job that brings me to places across the globe, actively filling my life with activities to cover the void. They pause. I ask whether they had good moments over the weekend, whether they laughed just a little. Not a great question, admittedly. They say, only a distant internal laughter, that they are depressive, “I am a depressive”. A breakthrough maybe, I feel for them. The next day I consider calling to meet, just to hug them, to hug this grown strange person, and take some of their sorrows away. The person that talked about their mother's death two years after, and how affected they are by the only person who ever loved them being gone. Many weeks before there was no reaction, no dialogue when I refer to my dead dad and trying to show a sense of connection. I should remember that. Instead I send a message about my unused medication that I got for anxiety (which didn’t work) but double as anti-depressants and that I can share with them. They say: “yeah ok”.
