Random thought I've wanted to turn into a post but Neves got around to: I never liked the teen titans. I wonder if that's because I don't tend to like teen stuff in general. Or if I found it immature or something. Idk. What i do know is: teen fiction is a mixed bag for me.

I don't like the teen titans, most teen movies, stuff of that nature. But I do like the original x-men, percy jackson, and although I haven't read it in years, Harry Potter. So I don't know. But I feel like because I've always felt other kids were immature, I've never liked teen fiction. Or something like that.

i've been told my whole life that I'm really smart and that i'm a capable orator, essayist, and researcher.

i thought that i'd blend into the background in college because i'd be around other capable academics (and i am!). honestly though, people still say what they said when i was growing up. it's amazing.

I can find the silverlining and say that yay Logan might get points, but I am going to be PISSED, ENRAGED, WANTING TO FIGHT if Lewis and Charles get DQed. Because it's bad enough their teams failed them during the race, but this shit when their teammates cars are fine isn't fucking ok. Idk, I find it interesting that Raine has much less visible scarring than Hunter post-possession. With Hunter, it looks like at least two-fifths of his visible skin is now scars. Hunter was scarred pre-possession, of course, but the only obvious scar was his cheek one. Raine only got tear tracks and an ear blob. That's... Interesting, considering Belos was possessing Raine for much longer. Perhaps it's because Raine has a bile sac, and it was helping them resist Belos, whereas Hunter was magicless. Maybe the Belos goop (we need to come up with a better name for that) surfaces easiest on existing wounds, and Hunter just had more entry points in general (hence, the facial scar and ear nick being scarred specifically). Or maybe it's just because Belos fought in Hunter, and the curse overtook Hunter's whole body, but Raine only got tear tracks because that's the only parts Belos' curse overtook. It's ambiguous. For all we know, Belos could've purposefully scarred Hunter and held back on Raine because he needed them to look inconspicuous to the Collector. Who knows?

One of the interesting and lovely things I am experiencing right now, is how through falling in love with someone else, I'm falling in love with Daigo all over again.

He's so. Patient. And caring. His handling of things is flawless.

It's wonderful to have someone to rely on. Who you can trust, implicitly, with your whole self.

And that it really is ok to "want it all" as long as you talk about it. Being honest with someone, completely, is scary, but beautiful.

School was okay today, I think. Well, besides the ride to school on the school bus. That ride was awful today. They're loud and noisy and they love immature, dirty jokes. They talked about horror games (which really stressed me out), they talked about pedophilia (for some reason), they talked about all the dumb things these immature brats love to talk about. I swear, I've found I hate most other students (both in elementary and high school) over the years. Mostly because they all seem so immature.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc. 

This question is very similar in answer to ✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to? which I answered here, but this, I guess, veers more strongly to the “and I do it on purpose” side of things, so...    Beauty. That’s my constant deliberate choice. At least to my tastes. I consciously want my internal worlds to be aesthetically pleasing to me, both of people and of place. If these aesthetic choices match somebody else’s tastes, fabulous! If not, so be it. Sorry, though – if that’s the case and you don't share my tastes in aesthetics, you’ll have to put up with me writing about how specifically gorgeous someone/somewhere is, all the while thinking, “Yeah, but actually no,” about it. Or “Shit not given, please move on.” 😅     Apologies.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants? 

Bit of both. I’m a pantser as far as creation of the concept goes, the genesis of the scene in my head – that just happens, and I watch/experience it. If I like it, if it emotionally got to me in one way or another, I watch/experience it a lot. Sometimes a BIG LOT.   But when it comes to writing that scene which I’ve seen in my head several, maybe countless times? I make micronotes of particular dialogue moments, and maybe a [insert the bit about this thing here] reminder or two to myself, so there is an outline, sort of. I always know how and where a fic ends. I know what the point of the fic is before I start, why I’m writing it. So in that regard, I’m an outliner. 

Sometimes I write something in just one sitting, though, and that’s sort of pantsing it, but I have always watched the full scene in my head first.     I know what I want to say, I just have to figure out how to say it. Sometimes this is fairly straightforward, sometimes it takes me a really, REALLY annoyingly long time. Because I have seen it. Where are the words for it? I have to get it right.
