okok so first of all; general hcs !!

he likes art!! loves art!! this one is canon to me i just think he is so interested in any and all of humanity’s creative outlets and ofc art is the most prominent one. he loves all different forms of art — from sculptures to paintings to writing to video games (HEAVY on the latter btw i think he's so entranced by new technology) and so on.

and on that note!! i think he paints and writes himself :3 hes been alive for so long, learned so many languages, there's no way he didn't have time to pick up a paint brush. i think he paints to release stress!! and his styles vary but there's something mildly macabre abt all of his pieces. tends to gravitate towards expressionism above all else, especially the abstract kind.

i also feel like he sincerely enjoys ”bad” art like low budget movies and modern romance fiction and goofy video games…… he just thinks they're fun. def gets a good laugh out of them (this man canonically had a whole comedy phase he just wants to have fun!!)

and and and!! this is self indulgent as hell but i also think he cooks. there's just so much to learn when it comes to different cultures and their cuisine and i think they all interest him. but i hesitate to say that he's a good cook bc i feel like he’d make really weird fucked up food combinations just for the hell of it…. he's a freak. 100% the type to mix orange juice w black coffee just to see how it tastes.

i also hc that he has a soft spot for children, seeing as he literally carried and birthed one of his own LMAO... i just think he admires the innocence of childhood !! that childish and simple hope that adults tend to lose. he's very good w them too!! gentle and patient. and in geto’s body he has the softest nicest voice so i feel like kids gravitate towards him (i'm just thinking abt that One scene where he blows bubbles at a playground and all the kids chase them… they love him i just know he's a regular at that park)

FIRST OF ALL he's huge on quality time. if he's in a relationship w u then that means he sincerely enjoys ur company and therefore has a tendency to just bring u with him wherever he goes. otherwise he gets bored and starts whining abt it (silly silly man) hes a lonely guy ok </3 i feel like he gets very sudden urges to explore new places / do new things and he’ll make sure you’re right there w him !! you’ll wake up in his arms only to find you're in a snowy forest or some shit and he just WILL not tell u where he's taken u bc its ”a surprise ^_^” LMAOO

he also takes on a teaching role in the relationship and i think that's where hes happiest !! gets a kick out of it but it's also kind of special to him. especially if you haven't seen much of the world, or if you're just a naturally curious person — preferably both. he just enjoys teaching you new things, leading you towards new sights, drinking in your expressions and reactions. it's precious to him. something to cherish.

ON THAT NOTE i think he has this unquenchable curiosity that gets temporarily sated when he tries to like . Dissect you. see inside your mind. it's like hes solving a puzzle that never runs out of pieces. hear me out riko but i see him as somewhat similar to makima, he's detached and has trouble connecting w people and handles you almost like a math equation….. but since he unlike makima is a human being, i think he still has the capacity to grow to care for you and treat you like an equal (or something close to an equal). he genuinely does love you, but he's rusty. kenjaku just wants to know all there is to know about you — every single thing. he’d dig into your brain if he could, but he’ll settle on just brewing you tea, listening to you speak about your fears, hoping it’ll give him the same insight.

he's a little possessive . kind of a Lot. idk i just think he feels a pang of jealousy when he sees u laugh and have fun w someone else (he's like a preschooler getting pouty bc his bestie is playing w someone else LOL) and that makes him Uncomfortable so he just waltzes in and steals u away w a smooth smile and a hand on ur waist. pretends like it doesn't bother him in the slightest but if u tease him too much he drops the smile and gives u a Look (it's scary as hell so u immediately shut up LMAOO) and god forbid someone else is like… teaching u something… a subject they're knowledgeable abt while u sit there listening happily to their rambling……..... ohhh he gets so jealous it's funny. researches that particular subject in frightening detail JUST so he can correct your little friend and teach u abt it himself <33 weirdo. freak.

also (this is extremely important to understanding kenny's character) he's both mother coded and father coded but in the worst possible ways.

he's mother coded in the sense that he's a smidge controlling, good at coaxing you into doing things outside your comfort zone, an expert at making you feel guilty by acting especially sweet and gentle, has the ability to make you cry w one disappointed look etc etc

and he's father coded in the sense that he's easily offended but pretends not to be, wants to see you succeed so bad that it's almost more for him than you, forces you to have really deep onesided philosophical talks at 2am when you just want to sleep, sucks at voicing his love for you out loud so he just buys a bag of your favorite fruit, cuts them into slices and calls it a day. etc etc. he's awful actually. i need him

but !!! as for more soft hcs i think he's honestly an affectionate guy deep down… like deep deep down but it's there. he just likes having u close. preferably touching him. not constantly bc that’ll annoy him but he wants you to stay near so he can pull u into his lap whenever. loves reading to u while u rest ur head on his thigh, playing w ur hair and lulling u softly to sleep <3333 (it's the geto kinnie in him) AND idk why this came into my mind but i think he likes nose kisses. just bc ur face scrunches up and he thinks it's cute. he can be sweet !! probably.

i saw ur tags on my stickers post and i just wanted to say that most of the small stickers on my laptop now have clear tape over them to keep the from getting cuffed or peeling off + i know a lot of people who use packaging clear tape on their stickers to preserve them so like!!! use your beautiful stickers that you love so much!!! its so nice to see them everyday. i actually have a clear phone case so that i can put stickers directly on my phone and theyll be safe inside the clear case. anyway i hope this inspires u love and kisses ok !!!!

ohhh you're such a sweetie for messaging me! clear tape is a good idea! i think the ultimate protection for stickers would be incasing them with uv resin, which is very cool when resin artist do it, but i'm not one so tape it is. nail polish or mod podge are definitely too sticky for this. clear cases rock but I don't have one for my phone, maybe it's finally time I buy one. or I'll cover a powerbank with stickers, like those guys do nothing, I might as well stick a whole photo on it. also, I guess "sticker anxiety" is a common thing, I see people all the time buying two stickers, for one to be never used and kept safely. like wow we people just care so much for stickers. i actually watched the first episode of the live action today!!! and yeah i decided i do NOT like mackenyu's acting as zoro. i dont really blame mackenyu for it bc i assume its an issue with the producers or writers or whatever wanting to make him more badass,, but i kind of cant stand it. he has the cool guy vocal fry.... i hate it... i hate that. i looked up videos of mackenyu in like. regular settings! and he seems like a genuinely cool person!! i think if he could channel his regular energy into zoro more.. it would be perfect . i would say that is the perfect zoro. to be fair though he could relax a bit with the cool guy thing later on in the show and i just don't know it yet bc i only watched episode one (holding out hope that thats what happens). overall . besides my issues with zoro being too cool n serious and monotone.. it was actually really enjoyable!! the kobylu moment where theyre stargazing together?? hello??? hello???? for the record i dont really ship kobylu but i do enjoy the ship.. does that distinction make sense.. i hope it does. and also zoro has freckles. i cant get over that... freckles ... he has freckles.. there r a few choices i didnt like (that i cant remember rn) but it was a fun watch!!!!

i was actually looking up vocaloid stuff yesterday.. learning The History (i was watching kaito x gakupo mmd's) and i found out nyan cat?? was vocaloid?? originally?? and the version that got popular was utauloid?? i used to play 10 hour nyan cat videos on the tv. this was a monumental discovery. i love finding out that niche internet communities are like . the beginning . of a huge internet meme.. its seriously so interesting. plus i recognized a lot of older popular vocaloid songs!! i had no idea it had seeped so much into my life . without me knowing it.

i was kind of tempted to go see kikuo and bo en live!! im kind of?? a bo en fan?? i listened to that song that was in omori before omori was out (i still dont really know what omori is) and i like a few other songs by them but im not really someone who likes musical artists. i just like a few songs,, or one song,, from an artist,, and then nothing else. i do like quite a few of kikuo's songs though!! most of all i was just tempted bc the timing was right and i noticed they were coming to a city nearby. didnt end up going bc i couldnt justify it!! did u have a good time!? also i saw the miku expo experience,, in portland.. where they just got what was visibly just,, a tv. even as someone who is a Beginner vocaloid fan.. that is so disappointing

my aphantasia isnt really that bad and its not something i notice most of the time, so it doesn't really get in the way. i kind of think it might help me in art because i dont get stuck on the blank canvas part, trying to picture what to draw? idk ive heard a lot of ppl talk abt that being a struggle. i just jump right into it since i cant come up with anything most of the time anyways. other times tho i can picture things very clearly.. i think part of the aphantasia is just that i have autism. and adhd. and i cant concentrate well enough to picture things a lot of the time, especially when i actually want to. most of the time the things i successfully picture are involuntary

literally the whole setting of water 7 was so interesting and cool and . i adored it. the aqua laguna,, part of the city being underwater bc the water level keeps rising. the canals!! the water horses!! its all so fun. i actually do love the frobin moments in enies lobby, and i love kaku, and i love the "i want to live" moment, but other than that i dont have much i found super exciting.. oh and the moment with the merry at the end of it. that broke me . why give me hope and then rip it away from me!! oda always does this. /pos though.

scans are like absolutely everywhere and most places have the godawful quality fan translations. u can and frankly probably should read the official eng which is available here. dnangel had a weird run where the eng was only licensed and translated up to book 13. 14 and 15 (and beyond) are fan translations, but there's exactly one chapter that's ALWAYS broken on any website you go to except this one. this site doesn't complete the series though so the last link you'd have to hop to is this one. but the entire series is only 20 volumes in total. you could speedread through it in like a day. it's short and sweet and i love it even with its flaws. why else would i b here writing dark n dai. anyways. point is. tysm. im holding u and all ur muses tight. i wont leave u!!!! im so glad i met u!!! uve done sm for me already and i wont forget it!!! Heyyy Gabs 💗💗 I'm pretty good! I hope you are too 💗 Oooh, I will read pretty much anything 😂 But I have some little things I don't like for certain characters or ship dynamics. For example, I don't read fics where Yuuji gets portrayed as a bully or a mean guy because, personally, it hurts my heart to imagine that. I also don't read fics where the character cheats on the reader because it is too painful for me. And for the ship Megumi x Yuuji, I prefer fics where Megumi is the top and Yuuji the bottom... so Fushiita instead of Itafushi ;) I will only read Itafushi if the story is by a writer I already know and love.

But those are just a personal preference. I think everyone can write and read what they like. I can't remember if anything ever gave me an ick or caused a strong negative reaction. I don't really think so.

What I really adore are fluffy fics, and I am a sucker for pining and seemingly unrequited love that turns into love. Also, I love love love modern!Sukuna AUs, especially when he is portrayed with a soft side. That is my big weakness 😭💗

But also all kinds of stories where a "monster" gets treated with love and tenderness. I adore College AUs because they let me dream about a life I could have if I was a bit more independent and braver. I love Soulmate fics because the thought of being connected to someone by a red string of fate is comforting to me. I love the thought of not having to make any decisions or knowing that you cannot make any wrong decisions because fate will still lead you into the arms of your soulmate. I love the thought that there is someone just for you 💗

I just really adore stories that make me cry because I get so emotional. I love characters with tragic backstories who closed themselves off but now learn how to love. I love stories about people who think they are unlovable but then find someone who loves them. I love stories about characters who always wear a mask to hide their true feelings but then meet someone who sees through that mask or who they allow to see the person beneath the mask 😭💗

AAAHH I could go on forever 😂😂 I am just so happy that there are so many wonderful fanfics and everyone can find something they love!!

THIRD of all i would. 100% recommend disco elysium. ive replayed it multiple times (steam tells me 171 hours total . help) and the variety of experiences you can get just by focusing on different skills of harry's (main character) and dressing differently for an occasion is IMMENSE. its a love story to the human spirit wrapped in incredible writing and worldbuilding and an incredibly clever way its all delivered. its heartbreaking its funny its thoughtful its pensive its hopeful. i WILL warn that it covers quite heavy topics but i do think its genuinely pure art and probably one of the most important pieces of media ive engaged with<3

Hi Rook :D its such an interesting concept and gotham as a city has SO much personality literally how could it not be breathing? its ancient and cursed and barely staying together and home to so many. do you ever wonder if gotham loves its protectors? (<- type of shit that keeps me up at night) also i could genuinely look at your gotham/tim piece for hours its just a very calming piece if that makes sense? like yeah its tim looking out over the harbor at a city whose people* he's dedicated so much of his life to saving, even if thats almost an impossible goal and yet it feels cozy. the city's almost glowing, almost feels proud (<- reading so much into this)

OKAY so. please hear me out bc im abt to recommend u a fanfiction series but i swear to god its very far removed from the source material so u can just like. read it on its own. it’s called twin skeletons (here’s the link), and i’m sure i’ve talked abt or at least mentioned it on my blog before but its just very very special to me !! it rlly feels like ur getting in the heads of these Awful teenagers and all of the subjects r dealt w/ in like. such a raw & unfiltered way in my opinion. it doesnt feel fake or preachy or like the reader is being talked down to or anything. the writing can be messy & imperfect bc its a fic from a couple years ago, but i still think its so so good and so worth it. the characters felt so real to me & it was dark & complicated & frustrating & it managed to stick w me years after reading it & i love it so much. i use it as a big inspiration for how i would want to write teenagers if i ever. like. actually got arnd to writing anything. maybe my own sentimental feelings r making me biased but god i just think its such an amazing coming of age story and the writer just Understands how teenagers think and act so well and u should absolutely read it if u want a realistic YA story

for actual published work, i have more trouble bc u r right! finding published YA that doesnt try to water things down can unfortunately be v difficult & most of these r just books i read in my school’s library or in the Teen Section of my local bookstore a long time ago & particularly stuck w/ me & some of them im not even like. That sure counts as YA i just know that im a Young Adult who read & enjoyed it & it was also abt Young Adults. maybe its cheating but i honestly dont think that whether or not its Officially Supposed to Be YA is that important, im assuming ur just trying 2 find good coming of age stories

What I'd like to see in season 2: so many things!!! The deterioration of Louis and Claudia's relationship, Lestat being pathetic and hitting rock bottom, Armand being a freak, Claudia's death... those are things i am looking forward to seeing. But what I really, really desire from the bottom of my heart are two very specific things: 1. Louis touching Lestat's face in a mirror of how Lestat often touched his in s1, showcasing their power reversal and also being romantic and sad... and 2. PUPPETS!!!!!! I swear to god. if there are puppets in the vampire theatre I will be able to die a happy man. I love puppets so so much and I truly feel like the presence of creepy puppets would elevate iwtv to unmeasurable heights. This is my number 1 wish of all wishes, truly. please Rolin I am begging for puppets

Something I liked more in the book: I won't lie, I think the show is superior to the book in pretty much every way, as much as I love it. My only real criticism of the show is barely a criticism at all; that it sadly didn't have enough time to dedicate to exploring the many, many interesting themes it brought up. I think it did the best it could possibly do with the runtime it had, but I would have loved more navel-gazing and discussions about the nature of vampirism, humanity, ethics and so on.

Fav minor character from the show: probably Miss Lilly? I'm really intrigued by her and Louis' relationship prior to the show. and I really enjoyed Mr. Anderson - I can't really say he's my favourite as a character but I thought the actor did a great job and gave really fun and memorable line-readings!

Insane thing I'd like to see from the books: HMM there's honestly so many things.... Lestat frenching his mom, Lestat drinking period blood, Armand and the blender... I know some people are worried about later iwtv seasons getting goofy but I personally would love that. I don't even care if it stops being good and just becomes pure fun camp. I feel like, later down the line the show will have to choose whether it wants to sacrifice being faithful to the books in order to keep the tone somewhat classy, or just go balls to the walls vampire Riverdale. and I'm honestly good with either option. so now that that's out of the way, I'll admit I would LOVE to see the alien clone Derek 2 also known as Dertu. I can't explain it but I am charmed and compelled by the very idea of this character, the fact that he's not only an alien but an alien CLONE, of a guy named DEREK of all names, and that he's unoriginally called DEREK 2, then shortened to DERTU which is weirdly cute? So I know in my heart that I would love him. Dertu I am your one and only fan. I hope someday I get to see you on my television screen
