had to get in bed early bc as soon as I tried to play online with a friend i got nauseous as fuck and ran straight to the bathroom where i proceeded to dry heave for a minute straight bc of the screen. I’ve been neglecting my physical health ever since grandma died by not eating (not doing it consciously, everything just tastes bland or has a weird aftertaste plus there’s nothing around here to get out and even if i buy the stuff i want at the store, as soon as i go to eat it, i suddenly refuse to eat it and i feel like i don’t even have to eat and only do so once i get horrible cramps from not eating all day) and overdoing the caffeine every day for a year and a half, so it’s finally catching up to me.

neglecting my physical health for this long has finally taken its toll on me and i need to try and fix it before i actually get sick enough to end up in the hospital, but i legit don’t think i can. I can’t just force myself to eat bc i already won’t eat most things due to the texture or consistency and i cant force myself to eat the few things I actually will eat. the caffeine i can fix, and it won’t take all that long to fix it, but the eating problem? I have zero fucking clue how I’m gonna fix that.

my online friend that I video chat with every day is gonna start calling me at 6:30am every day to remind me to make myself something to eat, scrambled eggs specifically bc it’s easy to cook pretty quick and is actually good for u inline pancakes and syrup, and make sure I have a snack bag packed for work days bc if I don’t eat breakfast, I won’t be able to eat again until 12:30 when we get back in from the route and rn I can’t wait that long, so tomorrow on our weekly grocery run, I’m gonna try and get stuff that’s not sugary to snack on during the route.

I’m definitely gonna be pissed off every morning with his calling for a while bc I’m very grumpy that early, but rn I need the annoyance of it. Will I bitch and moan about it every single day? oh yeah. do I absolutely have to do it otherwise I’ll get sick? unfortunately yes, I do. I’m limiting caffeine to only in the mornings at work, and it’s just gonna be tea instead of coffee (which I already do) and limit the sweet tea at lunch, so at least I’ve got a basic plan for now. actually making myself eat tho? that’s the real challenge.

#currently I’m existing on a diet of tea three pancakes the icassional lunch (not always bc I won’t eat most of the stuff there)#and whatever small dinner I can force myself to eat #oh and a 42oz lotus every single day and sometimes twice a day #I’ve been living like that for at least three months now #I’ve had an issue with this the entire time since grandma’s passing tho #it gets better for a while but then it gets worse for a while #and it cycles back and forth #and not having a therapist rn is rlly bad for me bc I spent so much time #and energy fixing my mental health that I neglected my physical health #so I fucked around and am finally finding out what happens when I neglect myself #that’s probably why my pain is worse than usual bc I’m not drinking regular water either #just the shitty sparkling flavored water which I fucking hate #I just feel like it’s all my fault yknow? that I should’ve caught this earlier

i still feel kinda shitty but not to the point where im thinking abt attempting yknow what and self-harming myself again

im still very sorry about getting graphic in my deleted posts, i wish i could promise that something like this wont happen again but ive been getting more depressive again lately with lots of breakdowns and i usually bottle these feelings up cuz i dont like talking abt it with ppl irl and then when it gets too much i just spill it all out on here and cant rlly control myself

Aside from gregory (who ill talk abt in a sec but ellis doesnt get enough love and hes one of my favs <33) Evan gets especially close with Ellis! They r the epitome of "Talks a lot and listens" Ellis loves chatting with Evan and because he's so outgoing he tends to go out of his way to invite him places! Of course, Ellis isn't perfect, and sometimes he needs to tone it down, but in general they get alone really well!!! Evan likes going to the arcade with Ellis and the others and sometimes if Tony and Greg are busy or whatever Ellis will drag just Evan to the arcade and they typically enjoy themselves!!!!

Tony is pretty chill with Evan. Evan likes listening to Tony talk about his stories, and he's the more chill in the group next to Gregory and Ellis so he gets along well with the funny journalism guy!!! Sometimes if he's not feeling the arcade I think Evan would go with Tony and try to help him with whatever story he's got going on now. Of course sometimes they get in over their heads and Evan ends up dragged into whatever Tony started. Tony's a journalist, you cant blame him for being nosy.

As for GREGORY!!!!!! They are super close and probably move in together eventually. Gregory's the guy who taught Evan to, yknow, not hate himself and everything around him! Also Gregory's the guy who would give Michael a piece of his mind without making Evan feel shitty about it (the way william did, bc evan didnt LIKE to see will and michael fight, esp if it was because of smth michael did to HIM, since he probably wouldnt view that as important enough to throw his brother under the bus, but it happens anyways and he just. felt shitty abt it. even if he shouldnt have) but also gregory is harsher than, say, henry. and while michael never really listened to gregory himself, it was the thought that counted, and it helped evan a lot <33

so basically, he becomes the fourth amigo!! they are buddies and he clicks pretty well with them. theyd probably have rocky moments (like if tony had a similar issue with evan that he has w greg and ellis where he doesnt rlly. tell them theyre upsetting him, that would be difficult for evan, whos used to everyone demanding things from him, and it would be frustrating to not know what tony wants. and if ellis was dismissive of evans needs, it could also get frustrating) but they still love and care about each other!!! blows up!!!!!

OOOH that's a tough one. once again not a topic im in a great position to comment on as i don't rlly watch streamers or keep up with specific internet personalities much........

im still gonna have a go at guessing though hehe

obv cat would be a beauty guru type. that's the most obvious idea for him lol. maybe mingled with other stuff like dancing and general fashion/clothing design videos? ik in canon he makes his own clothes sometimes, so i could imagine him posting videos about his clothing creation process from designing to actual sewing, although it would less be a tutorial and moreso just a way for him to show off lol. i can also imagine him making short little weekly vlog type videos where he talks abt things that he likes, esp food, or rants abt stuff he hates if he's in a bad mood. he'd also be infamous for getting into horrendous beef with ppl lol

lister....... i mean. my instincts say Gamer. he does play video games sometimes in the later seasons so yknow.......... i don't think he'd be dedicated enough to the idea of attracting a following to stream super often but he'd enjoy it occasionally. something tells me that he'd prefer retro games and weird little niche indie things but that he'd also have a softspot for sports themed games....... like a zero g version of the fifa games or smth lol

rimmer would post "video essays" that are actually just him infodumping unscripted for 3 hours straight into his grainy webcam with a shitty mic. he gets 5 views on each video. sometimes he might post a vaguely offensive political opinion that makes a couple of ppl mildly irritated at him and for the next 6 months he'll mysteriously talk abt how he was "cancelled" online even though it was like 3 ppl involved max lmao. but mostly it's just barely incomprehensible infodumping on his obscure interests i think

kryten would do asmr. not in a Weird way but he'd make like, cleaning and polishing and tidying up videos. those are activities he enjoys and i think it would make him happy to know that he would make others happy just by recording himself doing the stuff he likes. maybe sometimes occasionally he'd do a little q&a or the odd vlog here and there. he'd generally be seen as nice and wholesome but would maybe lose some viewers due to his instinctive tendency to do product placement every 5 seconds even without any sponsors

Hello I saw this just before I was going to go to sleep and then laid awake Thinking About It for the next 30 minutes so here I am!

Under the cut because there's a LOT!!

Richie

He layers just as badly as in canon

So in my head it goes:

Long sleeved stripey T-shirt

then a graphic short tee on top (which eventually becomes a band T-shirt nearer then end of senior year when Steph joins the band! (And when I design the logo lmao))

THEN a zip up hoode

I'm not done

Then a leather jacket he found at a garage sale (it's slightly too big for him normally so it fits over everything else.)

Ripped jeans + belt chains

He has one of those goth belts with all the metal eyelets in it

Boots!! He has loads of different coloured laces he wears each day!!

And ofc he has his blue hair

He has his ears pierced too- he has these skeleton studs and they're all he wears.

Oh and the green and black bracelet Max eventually makes when he becomes the band's friend. It's tied onto his belt loops every morning.

Peter

Pretty similar to canon in my head

He takes off his suspenders and bowtie when they practice though (he feels safe then)

His hair is longer! He wears it in a man bun because it made him feel more masc before he came out to everyone (in middle school)

When he felt more comfortable (and after he came out) he decided to keep his hair long and the man bun just kind of stuck

He gets an undercut maybe? I can't decide in whether that's good or not.

He had LOADS of ear piercings (industrial, tragus, three on each lobe, conch, helix) but he's too scared to get facial ones somehow

He wears dangly earrings in his main lobe piercing

After he makes friends with Steph and stops wearing his suspenders+bowtie altogether he unbuttons and untucks his shirt during practice.

(Steph almost passes out the first time he does this. She can see his collar bones. Victorian woman seeing ankle for the first time core)

Richie clips a short chain onto his belt loops "So we match!"

His yellow and orange bracelet becomes his hairband- you can't usually see it unless you're looking for it/it's in a ponytail

Ruth was actually so so difficult for me to decide

Her normal style just goes so hard yknow?

I think she starts wearing Docs like Richie

But she just has rainbow laces and that's it she doesn't change them

The beginnings of a rose + thorns sleeve on her left arm

And a shitty stick and poke star on her right wrist (over her veins) she got when she was 16- it's started to fade so she gets other stars tattooed on her wrist around it (one for each band member?)

She's the one who commissions an artist to design the logo, and gets t-shirts made for each of them!!

She, and Ruth both get the logo put on leather jackets. Steph's is proper vintage and is more of a biker jacket though.

She tries to convince Richie and Peter to get ones too, but Richie doesn't want to damage his jacket and Peter refuses to wear one at all (he won't wear the shirt either)

(She catches him using it as a sleep shirt. She teases him about it for weeks)

She cuts her band top into a crop top but she doesn't always wear it.

She dyes the tips of her hair red for while

But it fades into pink weirdly quick

So she dyes it back to her normal ombre

Steph's pink bracelet hangs from a hole made in one of her drumsticks. Her bracelet was made first (Max cried when he saw it)

Max

Max isn't technically part of the band

But he is their #1 fan forever and ever

So he has a shirt too that he wears to all of their (eventual) gigs!! The logo is a bit faded/damaged and washed out because he keeps washing it the wrong way

He has a scar in his eyebrow from when Steph punched him after she first joins the band (this kickstarts his redemption.) (Punchstarts?)

And he has his purple and yellow bracelet around his wrist!

I still haven't figured out how to fit Grace into this AU at all. I do HC that she thinks all music other than Christian Music is Of The Devil™ and she plays the flute but that's about it honestly... One of these days I'll figure something out

But I will not lie, I’m a bit disappointed at how easily you seem to abandon your work and followers. So many people have been anxiously awaiting the next part, which you constantly teased, only to receive a lousy “Sorry, I’m not in the right mindset” explanation for your sudden absence? Yikes. okay so i debated whether to answer this, and i mean i thought about it for HOURS. like pacing-in-the-kitchen + chewing on my nails + having a lil tummy ache.

yeah, maybe that “i’m not in the right mindset” explanation wasn’t the best, and at this point, i rlly don’t have anything left to lose so here is the raw and ugly truth:

if you didn’t know, i was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa in the fall of 2020, along with depression and anxiety. i’ve been in recovery since then.

however, these past several weeks, i unfortunately relapsed back into my ed, and i began experiencing my heavy depression episodes. i’ve had a talk with my family, and i’ve been trying to regain my focus and strength, but its been so fucking difficult as hell.

that is why i haven’t been writing. it is so incredibly hard to find the motivation to write when you just wanna …. yknow …. die? or not exactly die but more curl up in a ball and cry your eyes out until there is nothing left inside you. fanfic writing became a strong and favorite coping mechanism of mine, and it has been so heartbreaking to feel that passion/motivation slowly die away. that is the main reason why i have decided to take a step back from writing and posting and being active on this blog.

i love my fanfics and i love all my readers. y’all have been an unexpected but greatly appreciated light in my life. y’all have genuinely given me a reason for living, as silly as that might sound.

so pls pls PLS (with a cherry on top) believe me when i say that i never mean to abandon y’all. i’m still here! i’m just trying to find myself again — and when i do, i’ll return to give y’all the best smutty fics i can whip up hehe.

I think Mikey is the first to realize, he's had a fair share of being pretty silent and being overwhelmed that he can recognize it in someone pretty quickly. Plus he's fairly in tune with reading someone, especially you.

He definitely immediately tries to get you whatever you need, handing you your communication cards almost as soon as you walk into the room he's in

it will take a few minutes for Pete to realize what's happening, only picking it up when Mikey hands you the communication cards.

Pete gets sort of anxious about these things, worried he's going to make it worse somehow. You've reassured him that he doesn't make it worse but he still get anxious about it.

I think Mikey is a lot more level headed with this and will probably do a lot of more practical things (making sure you have your cards and are using them when needed, turning off anything that's too bright or making too much noise, etc)

While Pete is the type to just do whatever Mikey says to do, like getting things or making things. You need blankets? Already being thrown on top of you on the couch. You need one of your comfort foods? He's already making it just how you like it (he practiced even if it's a really simple thing to make) You need him to get you something from the store? Which store cause he's on his way there STAT.

These two are doing everything in their power to make you comfortable.

Personally I'm more prone to meltdowns when I get home after being overstimulated all day/having a bad day + not being able to communicate makes it worse so I feel like they would have some preparations for that

if you cry a lot during meltdowns they have a cols bottle of water just waiting for you when you catch your breath enough to drink

if you don't like touch during meltdowns they're more than okay with giving you your space

if you're not likely to have meltdowns they'd still be prepared just in case you do start crying though.

If you like pressure to help calm you down Pete would go get your weighted blanket (that they bought you) as quickly as possible and they the two would lay on top of your stomach and chest to give more pressure

if you can't handle touch or anything like that while in this state they are A-OK giving you other things to hold onto like blankets and stuffed animals and your security items

All in All they're trying their best to get you through this and doing whatever you need at that moment from running a bath to just putting on your comfort TV show.

Jack “Cowboy” Kelly - Artist

Age when the au takes place: 26

Song: You’re On Your Own Kid - Taylor Swift

Jack would have grown up in the foster system. His parents died in a car crash when he was young, leaving him an orphan.

Since he was a kid he would’ve used art as a way to escape the shitty situation that he was in. He would’ve been in numerous bad foster homes, and he would’ve been failing school, but art would be the one constant that would allow him to escape.

Then at 15, he got adopted by Medda, and she took him to art classes and bought him proper supplies

Crutchie would be his foster brother

Jack went to art school. He started entering (and winning) contests, as well as publishing his art online. He got an agent and the attention of some important people who helped him in his journey, giving him positive critiques and advice.

Then someone really famous would’ve purchased one of his works and that made him blow up

Jack would live in an apartment in the centre of Manhattan. His apartment would always be a mess, and he’d usually do most of his paintings there, so a lot of things are permanently stained with acrylic.

He DIY’s a lot of his clothes, painting on his jeans and jackets and things like that. This was a habit that he kept since the foster system to try to make the shitty clothes he had a bit more him, and he never stopped doing it.

This also means that he DIY’s so many things in his apartment, and it always turns out amazing. Doesn’t like the colour of that couch? He dyes it. Feels like the wall is too bare? He’ll paint something over it. Feels like the windows are too boring? He’ll buy a kit and make them into fake-stained windows that he can peel off when he wants to, in case he wants to sell the apartment or he gets bored of it.

He’s also amazing at gift-giving because he always makes sure to write a card or add something handmade to the actual gift. He used to give his boyfriend handmade flowers so they’d last forever before, yknow, they broke up (he would’ve chated on Jack)

Other than art, he would be a big sports fan. He would love F1 and would eventually get a VIP pass to the paddock. He’d be a Red Bull fan.

David “Mouth” Jacobs - Director

Age when the au takes place: 26

David’s mother would have been an actress. She hadn’t been very famous, but it already gave him an in the industry.

He used to participate in the school musicals as the “director’s assistant”.

He preferred movies over the theatre though, and he often wrote his own movies that he would’ve loved to direct someday.

He made a lot of short films with his friends and participated in different contests, building his portfolio for when he went to college.

In college, he continued to participate in many different movie contests and got a lot of recognition for his short films. He would have a very distinct movie style, very much giving “dark academia”.

He’d be given various awards for his work and eventually, he’d get to direct a full movie. It would do pretty well for being his debut.

He’d continue creating short films and co-directing some movies. He’d start working on more important movies and gaining a large following.

His most popular movie would be one that would’ve been inspired by a painting. One of Jack’s paintings. It would be about the obsessed artist trope (think Black Swan or Whiplash).

David would live in Boston, and most of his short films would be filmed there.

Outside of directing, David reads a lot, it’s his way of escaping from the world for a moment.

He’d love vintage books and would have them scattered all around his house. He’s a big fan of the classics.

Has a black cat named Dawn.

He’s a very private person. He doesn’t really date much, and he doesn’t post stuff online. This all changed when he met Jack, of course.

Antonio “Racetrack” Higgins - Formula 1

He drives for Ferrari

He’d come from a well-off family, but they wouldn’t be rich. His dad would’ve been an F2 driver, but he never made it to F1. He would’ve been a huge Ferrari fan, something that he passed on to his son.

Started karting when he was 5 years old

His parents would’ve gotten divorced when he was 7. He would’ve blamed himself because they used to fight a lot over him doing karting. His mom didn’t want him anywhere near racing, but his dad supported him fully.

He’d have a 5-year difference with his little brother

After his mom remarried, she moved to France with his little brother (Romeo), while Race stayed in Italy with his dad.

At some point, Race almost had to quit racing because his dad wouldn’t have been able to afford it. However, his stepdad offered to help, and they had no choice but to accept. Race would have a really bad relationship with his stepdad and his mother, he would’ve been much closer to his dad.

He joined the Ferrari Driving Academy, wanting to drive for them once he joined F1

He joined F1 when he was 19, and joined Ferrari a year later, full filling his lifelong dream.

The same year he joined Ferrari his mother died.

His goal is to win a championship someday, and is currently second in the driver’s standings. But Red Bull is dominating and unbeatable, so the chances of winning this year are slim.

He would live in Rome. He has 2 cats, a Ragdoll called Sofia (but he calls her Sof) and an orange cat called Stella

He would meet Jack in the paddock and they’d hit it off immediately, become really good friends. Despite the fact that Jack was there to support Red Bull. He’d know who Jack was because his ex-girlfriend would’ve been an artist and a huge fan.

Outside of racing, he would love music. He’d play the piano and the guitar. He started composing his own songs after his mom died and continued after he broke up with his girlfriend (they would’ve dated for 2 years, and broken up a year before the au started). But he’d keep them to himself.

However, he would mostly listen to rock music, completely different from what he composed.

His favourite band is “Untitled”, and he’d go see them when they came to Italy on their world tour.

Albert and Finch met in high school and became best friends. Finch played the guitar and Albert played the drums, and they usually did covers of songs together.

Flash forward to college and they meet Blink. They went to college together studying music composition and became close with Blink, who plays the bass guitar. Suddenly they have a new addition to their band. At this point, their still just making covers of songs.

Then they meet Jojo, who also joins their band. He sings. After this, they start making their own songs and playing at bars. They got noticed by a record label and signed a contract.

They gathered a large following when their first album was released, but they blew up with the lead single of their second album. After that, they quickly rose to fame.

In each album, there is one song dedicated/about each of the members, but they never say which song is about who

Fans love to speculate, though, and a lot of the time they get it right

They all live in Manhattan.

Lives with Finch, their roommates.

They have a dog named Cheese. Why? No one knows.

His mom would’ve died soon after he was born, and he’d grow up with his dad and older brothers. They’d struggle a bit financially, his dad would be working all the time and when he’d be home he would usually be drunk.

He’d never be abusive, just incredibly distant and Albert would have to take care of him after his brothers moved out.

Once he moved out he kind of cut contact with most of his family

He has a Twitch account and streams all the time. He’s a big fan of video games, particularly horror games.

He often calls with friends and plays with them, for example, he calls Elmer a lot (his best friend other than Finch)

He also skates

He tried to take Finch to a skate park to teach him once and it did not end up well

Probably the most disorganized person you’re ever going to meet. His room is a mess and it drives Finch insane.

He would have a bit of a reputation when it comes to dating. He usually wouldn’t get involved in anything serious that lasted more than a couple of months.

Then he’d do a world tour where he would meet Race, a Formula 1 driver who apparently loved their music, and all that would change

He’s a big movie fan, particularly sci-fi movies.

He’s not much of an animal person. But in middle school, he used to have an obsession with birds, so Albert started calling him “Finch” and it just stuck

He’s really close to his family. His parents would be so supportive of him, they’d be there at almost every concert. They’d be really proud.

His fashion sense is atrocious but he’s trying his best and that’s what matters

He loves cooking. He’s really good at it too, and he’s always trying new recipes.

He has a TikTok account that has literally nothing to do with the band, it’s just him sharing the recipes he made. He also has a series where he does a meal for each college major and things like that.

He has a secret Tumblr account where he interacts with fans and no one knows it’s him.

People are aware of the existence of this account, but no one knows it’s him

They met in freshman year of high school and became best friends before they started dating in Junior year

He gives their PR manager a heart attack each time he opens his mouth because this man has absolutely no filter.

Not allowed to post his own things on Twitter because he would get cancelled in a second

He used to watch BuzzFeed Unsolved religiously, but now he watches Watcher all the time.

Always knows the most random and disturbing facts. He’ll say the most unhinged things at the most unexpected times and provide no context.

He only posts things about the band, he’s a very private person and doesn’t like people getting in his business.

His private account however is basically a fan account for his boyfriend, since that’s almost all he posts about. And his cat cafe.

Only his family and friends follow him there, though.

Also has a secret Tumblr account, but it’s just to see the Watcher posts.

He’s a plant dad and all of his flower pots are made by him

He writes his own music separate from the band, but he doesn’t release any of them. It’s just something he does for fun sometimes

He was practically raised by his older brother since his parents weren’t great

His brother was the one who helped pay for his singing lessons when he was a kid. His parents didn't want him to have anything to do with music, they didn't think he'd make anything of himself

But his brother supported him fully and it got him to where he is now
