Why did no one tell me that the "chemical imbalance" theory has largely been disproven, that serotonin and dopamine can't cause mental illness on their own? Why have all mental health professionals been pushing this idea as fact? I've always thought the whole BPD diagnosis was bogus, just modern day hysteria slapped onto (mostly) women with complex-PTSD. Almost an official gaslight, like "your trauma wasn't traumatic enough to warrant the PTSD label so we're going to act like your brain is malfunctioning". So I'm not surprised to find all this out.

Can we finally begin a trauma-informed approach toward mainstream mental health shit? Especially mood disorders? Let's not rule chemicals and hormones out entirely, but let's acknowledge that trauma and genes have far stronger ties to mental health.

On the note of the last "disability rights to do fuck all" reblog: I don't know what environmentalist/vegan needs to hear this, but "humans are parasites" is literally Ableism 101, regardless of whether or not you claim you're only talking about "the capitalists" and not the disabled community when you say it.

I'm not just talking about the harm that phrase does to disabled people who can't support themselves on their own — I'm also talking about disabled people who need things that aren't considered "environment/animal-friendly" in order for them to live with dignity, or live at all.

If you're willing to resort to dehumanizing language when you see someone using a plastic straw or eating an animal product, then I don't fucking trust your plan for a post-capitalist solarpunk utopia or whatever to be a safe place for disabled people, of any form.

Buck and Eddie are going to be pissed at each other/one of them is going to be pissed at the other, but not for the reasons you think.

Before anyone asks, I'm not being shady and I don't know how the season is going to unfold, but I do know that in all the years of Buck and Eddie being BuckandEddie, we've seen them survive a lawsuit (essentially: Buck at his most selfish), a kidnapping, a nervous breakdown (essentially: Eddie at his most destructive), a shooting, and so many other things that have yet to actually rock the core of their relationship. I think this—whatever this is—is going to strike at the heart of who they are together and that? That fascinates me.

#Buck and Eddie present probably the most stable and cohesive unit on the show second only to Bobby and Athena and I mean that quite #literally. Nothing either of them has done has ever been done *to* each other. Hen cheated on Karen. Maddie walked out on Chimney. While #there were extenuating circumstances surrounding both of those events that doesn't change the fact that they happened. With Buck and Eddie #hurting each other has always been a byproduct of something larger. In Season 3 Buck hurt Eddie... but it was only because he got caught in #the crossfire between him and Bobby. In Season 5 Eddie hurt Buck by leaving the 118 (and essentially “breaking up with him”)... but that is #only because he was struggling with PTSD. They've never launched direct hits at each other/their dynamic because they have always been — by #all accounts — assured of who they are when they're together even if that assurance doesn't always extend to knowing who they are #individually. So the idea that they might stand at the precipice of having to navigate something they did to each other? Or (as I suspect) #something Buck did to Eddie? That's going to be really interesting to witness. I want to see them test how strong they really are when one #of them pushes the bounds of the relationship. Source: I spent the last two years in a city in 45 kilometres away from the frontlines (Zaporizhzhia). Air strikes and air defense sound different. While I can't say for sure that there was no time Ukrainian air defense misfired into a residential building ever anywhere, I can guarantee that the most notorious destructions of residential buildings here were all air strikes.

This is what I am direct witness of, but what I saw from destruction of Kharkiw doesn't resemble air defense misfire either. I didn't pay close attention to other cities, but I can believe in situation there being the same.
