Spoiler alert of Good Omens season 2

I'll try to explain the feeling of "this is a fanfic I've read before" by that I'll take in consideration not only "the coffee theory" but also the re-cast of actresses in other roles and the references to Doctor Who.

Enjoy my madness, and re watch season 2 so Amazon gives us season 3, please.

First:

We have the interesting choice of Derek Jacobi as Metatron and my personal hate/dislike/discomfort towards Metatron that I carry with me from the Supernatural Fandom and the discorporate scene from season 1.

I said interesting choice of Derek Jacobi as Metatron, because he was the proffesor Yana in Doctor Who during the season with Martha Jones as a companion, but you probably remember better the plot of proffesor Yana being The Master WITH NO MEMORIES OF BEING THE MASTER. (I'm chill, I'll take a deep breath)

The parallels with the amnesia plot and someone being better person with no memories between Jim/Gabriel and Yana/TheMaster are quite remarkable, but I want to point out that Metatron is one of the closest angels to God and we haven't heard from God this season unless we talk about the flashback from the Job story, so it's probable that Metatron is the real one in charge of Heaven since Armageddon't happened in season 1.

One of Metatron powers as we were told at the end of the season 2 is that he can rewrite the book of life. Archangel Michael wanted to use that power to erase the existence of those who hide Gabriel from heaven, but Metatron refused that option and send them to heaven, proving that he has more authority than the archangel Michael or Uriel.

I wanted to point out that to explain my next point, witch is one I have no real proof of... Anyway, I think Metatron is messing with reality and that's why we all get that feeling of "this is a fanfic I've read before". Why do I say that? When Jim/Gabriel was "putting in order" the books in the book shop he read the first sentence of the original material the show is based on, the book Good Omens write by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, that proves that the book exist in that reality and if a being other than God herself can be conscious about the fact of being in a novel or can manipulate the reality to turn the story of season one into a novel and write a fanfic after the end of that story... That character is Metatron.

I'm not sure of why he would have done that, but that will lead us to may next point.

The actresses who play completely different characters this season.

First we have our dearest Madame Tracy, Miranda Richardson, playing the demon Shax who is Crowley's substitute in his hell of a job. (sorry about that pun)

After that we have Nina and Maggie.

This is where it gets interesting. Because the actresses are playing characters with their real names and no last names (sorry if I'm wrong, I'll correct this if I'm wrong), but in season 1 Maggie played Sister Theresa Garrulous and Nina played Sister Mary Loquacious, both of them involved in the mistake that lead to Armageddon't being the both of them the ones (along with Crowley) that messed up the switch of the babies.

So... I think Metatron is mad about the events of the season one (the whole Great Plan thing), he could have tried to talk with God but she was enjoying the turn of events that Crowley and Aziraphale caused and ignore the rest of the children (a.k.a the angels) which lead the archangels to try again (I think Metatron was the master mind behind "Michael's plan" because archangel Michael has proven to be a bit incompetent this season only cares for the title of boss but not really good at it) and they vote about it, but the Bureaucracy Husbands were already a thing and make Armageddon't 2 even before the actual Armageddon could start to be put on action.

That is why I think the "present" of the story started with that fanfic/fictional-story feeling of fiction with a "nice morning" and Aziraphale being an angel towards the humans around him (which is suspicious that said human is Maggie) and finally the arrive of nude Gabriel as a plot start point.

I point this out because in season one God narrated things and all felt more normal, like the world was boring, ordinary nothing really extraordinary if demons or angels or the antichrist weren't involved (which was the reason Newton Pulsifer could located the unusual weather Taddfield had the prior eleven years), but this season the ambientation of the street was different (or I felt that way) like it was nicer less mundane or normal or ordinary...

We know angels don't completely get the human behavior, that's why I know I saw humans doing human things and having human reactions (when everyone was filming naked amnesiac Gabriel or the owners of the shops) but things like the ambientation of the street or Maggie and Nina's reactions towards magic (in season 1 Shadwell, Madame Tracy, Anathema, the Them or Newton had more realistic reactions when miracles were perform around them) or the demons surrounding the library (my first thought was "this smells like a Halloween Disney movie"), all those things felt a bit like if someone was writing something with not really idea of how the world work.

Finally, all this lead us to "the coffee theory" which is possible and if Metatron was writing the world we saw taking references from other things that already existed, would explain why that feeling of "fanfic" and... AND why he walked into the human world to interact with Aziraphale, the humans and the world instead of appear only as a gigantic head in the middle of the book shop. He needed to be there or at least he wanted to be there and was confident enough about his plan to go down to earth.

Angels were all about bureaucracy, they only showed their faces on earth if there is something important to do or say, but in season 1 Metatron didn't go down or interact, except when Aziraphale called him. And I think that plus the mega-powerful miracle that Aziraphale+Crowley casted over Jim/Gabriel, those two things were the reasons why Metatron decided that he needed Aziraphale by his side. (we can't forget this is a you are on my side or you are against me, kind of situation) And Metatron did something to Aziraphale which lead to the divorce kiss scene and our broken hearts.

Women of Words in Le Morte Darthur: The Autonomy of Speech in Malory’s Female Characters by Siobhán M. Wyatt - an interesting work, even if I might disagree a bit about some things (and still don't like Elaine of Corbenic, sorry). Enjoyed all the shade thrown at Tristan, well deserved :D I've quoted some fragments here and here.

The Tale of Stone Bread (Повесть о каменном хлебе) by Yana Timkova - where do I even start. It's a short novel about the live-action RPG community in the 90s Russia, specifically about the manipulative relationship dynamics encountered in it. The first half of the book is about the protagonist - an inexperienced teenage girl who's a newcomer to that scene - being groomed by an older girl in her 20s who collects people into her clique and makes them her obedient little minions by making them believe they were lovers in the past life, and in the second part the protagonist, already older, recreates the same dynamics with younger people. It's very bleak (despite the open ending that suggests that the main character might change for the better and break the cycle) and not very well-written, but I couldn't put it down, because sometimes you just can't stop looking at some shitstorm unfolding, you know? Also, it reminded me so much of what a friend of mine told me about her teenage years in the LARPing community that it sent chills down my spine - of course, the book exaggerates a lot to make it more dramatic, but so much of all that insanity was real, and apparently still occurs, from what she's telling me. And the main characters are said to be inspired by real members of the 90s-00s Tolkien/The Witcher fandom, including some singers popular in certain circles... all in all, not much of a book, but one hell of a tea to spill

+ started King Arthur’s Enchantresses: Morgan and Her Sisters in Arthurian Tradition by Carolyne Larrington, but then stuff happened, and I put it on pause. Will definitely come back to it, though. Also, I started One Piece and I'm already on Chapter 493 🤡 the things that happen when you're stuck at home with a sprained ankle

History Repeats Itself: Black Butler and The Promised Neverland Comparisons

Currently the ongoing arc in Black Butler with the F. O. L. has been giving me mad The Promised Neverland (TPN) vibes since Finny and Snake showed up at the mansion looking like Ciel’s house.

With the recent release of Black Butler’s 200th chapter, I just can’t shake the similarities. Now whether Yana Toboso thought of this years ago or recently got inspired by the successful manga series, The Promised Neverland, I won’t know.

For those who don’t know TPN, and I apologize for the spoilers now and ahead of time, is about an orphanage of kids basically being raised under constant surveillance as they grow to a certain age in order to be provided to an outside being as a resource.

Sounds familiar with Black Butler right now, right? Kids being kept under lock and key until a certain age then gets sent away to god knows where for unspeakable things.

So I thought that I’d share some of the similarities between the current arc of Black Butler and the first arc in The Promised Neverland.

1. The Orphanage.

Both in TPN and Black Butler, both orphanages are surrounded, meaning no one can escape. You and others can go in but leaving isn’t an option. But also with Gracefield and F.O.L. There are other locations with other resources of humans.

2. The place is heavily monitored.

As previously mentioned no one can escape unless it’s allowed or you are dead. The women watch day and night over the children to make sure they are in line and doing as they are told/raised.

3. Misinformation

Another thing they share in common is the source of misinformation. Papers are taken out of the newspapers that Artie irons, shielding him from real time events. The libraries in TPN are carefully selected to give the kids false hope without knowing until much later.

4. Testing

In TPN the kids are tested to make sure they are of adequate intelligence where as the kids at F.O.L. are tested to be placed in a category. But if anyone is caught there will be consequences. If the kids at the F.O.L. are caught if they escape they are killed, according to the elder kids. With TPN, the Mother knew the elder kids, Ray, Emma and Norman, were beyond the boundary and the next day Norman was sent to his “Adoption”

5. Adoption/Fledgling Day

So in the world of TPN, Adoption Day is pretty much what the kids think but instead isn’t. That is when the kids are sent to their death for the Demons to consume. The trio learn this and are horrified. In Black Butler, Fledgling Day is the same concept but with the elder kids knowing something is up and Finny’s prediction that it means kids get used for blood is all too similar. The children are being raised to a certain age then being sent off to their doom. RIP Conny and Ginny. Note Conny losing her bunny and Ginny losing her hair.

6. Food/Blood

As mentioned before the kids have a predetermined fate. In TPN they are a main food source where as in Black Butler they are a blood source. Each student is tested and I’m sure the higher the test results the more satisfying the meal will be for either party.

There are many differences that could be considered similarities with the numbers/clothing in TPN and the classes in Black Butler. Black Butler orphans gotta stay in place where TPN kids have more free roam.

It feels good to get this off my chest, this Black Butler arc has been bugging me like crazy over how much they are alike. If you have anything else to add, please reblog and share!

Legit I just finished rewatching season 1 with my roommate and while it has a place in my heart (because it's what got me into the franchise and also all media that you watch when you're 13 gives your brain worms you can never escape from). The amount of weird fanservice in it was 😬😬. Pls let me enjoy my dadbastian moments in peace

Yeah, also I don't know if this is just a me thing, but I was told when I was interested in getting into the manga that all of the fanservice was just in the anime and the manga's not like that at all. I was literally told that the corset scene wasn't in the manga💀 you can imagine how upset I was when I found out that the corset scene is indeed in the manga, along with a lot of other fanservice. I was lied to!!

Also I'm seeing people on tiktok say that there is no creepy fanservice in kuro and it's only weirdos that see it that way. I no joke saw someone say that "the corset scene wasn't creepy fanservice, creepy people just took it 'that' way." uhhh, bestie, I don't know about that one💀... It's just frustrating to see people recommend kuro to people saying "no no, the reputation of the series is completely wrong, it has no questionable fanservice what so ever 😃" Like can we please not mislead people, and also acknowledge the very real faults of this franchise?

Anyway, sorry anon, I kind of used this ask as a jumping off point to rant about stuff, but I agree I would also like to enjoy my dadbastian in peace. Yana may try her hardest to make their relationship weird, but they will always be an abusive father son duo in my mind.

With the weird and confusing update of the game, I think it's time to bring up all of Yana's writing flaws. I can't comment on Black Butler. I haven't read it since I was a teenager, so commenting on that would be unfair. But for twst? I've also noticed that…

She has that same tendency to throw shit at the wall without thinking about how it affects the story she has set up.

It genuinely seems like she has no end goal in mind for TWST. (As a side note, I was talking with another friend who knows a lot more about Black Butler about this topic before. She said that it's the same for Black Butler as well. That's a big reason why she dropped the manga ages ago. With that manga going on forever and needing to end a long time ago, I believe her.)

The worldbuilding is sloppy and sticks far too close to real life. It also doesn't make any sense when you stop and think about it. (Which is a big reason why I came up with my own).

She frequently sets things up and forgets about them, dropping them completely. (Vil and Jack's friendship, Jamil bringing up that he has items to cure poison in Pomefiore, the fact that Vil has martial arts knowledge, etc.)

She sticks way too closely to the plot of the corresponding Disney movie, even when it doesn't fit HER own plot or characters. The most obvious example is during Book 2 Leona plans to take out Malleus with the stampede in order to possibly win the tournament. This plot point is ripped straight out of The Lion King where Scar does the same thing to Mufasa. But, that makes no sense when applied to TWST. Scar was able to do that in The Lion King, because they are just both normal lions. Whereas in TWST, Malleus is one of the most powerful mages in the world, who can just teleport away. The fact that Leona, who is really smart in the rest of the game, never ONCE considered this is mind-boggling. But yet she forced it in to be just like the movie. There are many other examples of this as well. (Jamil being after the dorm leader position, the beginning of Ignihyde where Idia kidnaps everyone, etc.)

She also loves turning her characters into idiots to force her plots to work. Like in Ignihyde, Idia kidnaps everyone in broad daylight. One, that's an awful bold and stupid move for one of the smartest characters in the game. He should know better. If he didn't have plot armour and his family's influence, he would've gotten arrested. Two, Vil is a trained martial artist and Jamil took out assassins. Why didn't they just kick their asses or kill them, even with their magic deflecting armour? The only reason I can think of is "the plot needed to happen, and this was the only way how". Again, there are other examples of this. (Leona and Ruggie during Book 2, Vil not undoing the aging spell himself when he's a potions master, etc.)

All of the characters are completely static. They don't change or grow like well rounded characters should. The overblot gang never face zero repercussions for their actions, thus making them never grow or learn anything. (You would think they'd want revenge, since they are twisted from Disney villains, especially in Ruggie's case, since Leona almost MURDERED his ass.) Unless you are writing a flat arc, characters MUST grow or change by the end. It can be for the better. It can be for the worst. But there MUST be some sort of change within the major character. Otherwise what the fuck is the point?

Malleus acts like a Deus-Ex Machina where he swoops in and saves the day, even at the expense of the other character's intelligence. (Endings of Books 5 and 6).

She's horrible at foreshadowing. Huge plot beats like what the deal is with Grim and Crowley are hardly alluded to and brought up far too late for them to be affective.

She picks favourites. She loves showering them with screen time while neglecting others.

The pacing issues. Just the pacing issues.

Over all, one of my friends told me her writing feels like a first draft. I a 1000% agree. Her works have a lot of good ideas. However, Yana REALLY must go back and finetune her works in order to make them up to snuff.

However, with all this said, these are all issues that I want to correct in my works. While I'm an amateur and not an amazing writer myself, I still want to try and do better.

Though the Possiblity of chapter 7 will come so late like chapter 6.. (◞ ‸ ◟ㆀ)

But my feeling just told me that in chapter 7 we may have something to di with Mickey. And maybe realized more about all of the dreams they had has a meaning in it.

And do you remember when Yuu has a vision of seeing the Beautifull Queen poisining an apple? What if in next Ignhyde part Yuu will have another vision? (〇o〇；)

And let's hope no Ace betrayal, I love Ace and Deuce so no betrayal (•ˋ _ ˊ•)

OH and what do you think while we wait for chapter 7 what kind of events will come? Personally I really want some more RSA and Diasomnia content ( ͡≖ ل͜ ͡≖)

now that you mention mickey again, omg, have you seen the post about how Lilia could be chernabog?!?!?! what if that's how mickey comes into play?? and he helps beat Lilia or maybe Mickey mentions the time loop?? I wouldn't be surprised if we see a vision next part, I wonder which ones they'll do? maybe the titans? or the river of styx?

I kind of hope that Yuu makes a connection that they are in a Disney world or something, they have so many witty comebacks in the eng version lmfaooo chapter 4′s “its like a whole new world” ended me sjdijdkhkhew

YES! I agree! we need more diasomnia events , and an event where they actually do something or have a bigger role. they desperately need it. would mind a fairy gala with diasomnia. oh! I would forever be happy if we have a dance with the stars part 2! I would love that! and maybe somehow sprinkle in other characters like RSA popping up, I want to meet rielle or Neige again! or Cheyna, because he has literally been gone since chapter 1.

I kind of doubt we’ll get a diasomnia home event so I would love to go to afterglow Savanah or pyroxene. mainly because I want to see Cheka again and make leona suffer lolol but also would love to meet Vil’s father or other family characters too.

Black Butler:

OMG I have so many soapboxes here, where do I even begin?? I will give you a laundry list

- Black Butler occupies this really weird place where the subject matter is incredibly dark and yet the tone is light and feels like it’s initially aimed at younger audiences. It’s something I have a lot of mixed feelings about! Because on the one hand jfc it really should not be shown to younger people. The earlier arcs especially are just really hijinksy (despite the backstory consistently being real grim) and then we get to BoC where it’s like “Ciel gets triggered so bad he decides to immolate a bunch of orphans! anyway!” like ???

But also I did personally get into it back in the day as a baby and latched on pretty hard because there’s fucking nothing out there about CSA survivors. Even now tbh? And idk it’s nice to have something with a survivor protagonist where trauma is intrinsic to the storyline while also not being overpowering/the only aspect of the narrative. It’s still a story about dumb mysteries and idk supernatural bullshit. Idk, I just wish it was more even handed in letting the audience know what kind of content to expect and also less… creepy…

- That paired with how impossible the anime is to get into, and the endless filler have really contributed to the IP just being run into the ground. Like the anime at this point is kind of just catered to existing fans. It’s already demonstrably unlikely for uninvested new people to sit through the really bad early art and weird non canon filler content in the early seasons, and a *series* ending to then jump to an entire new timeline that retcons 90% of what previously happened lmao. Meanwhile manga fans are less active because we’ve been dragged through the same fucking storyline for 5+ years at this point and there’s only just been any real movement. And like Yana is clearly putting in less effort bc of TWST (which fair, Disney’s where the money is) but yeah no fucking wonder it’s all downhill.

- 2CT was terrible writing (the way NO ONE ever mentioned a dead sibling??) but it was hilarious and also Yana Toboso’s best writing choice in this series ahgsjgd

- FUCK Sebastian! Hate that bitch! Also want to see him be more evil ASAP. It’s really funny when fans get like. upset. that he’s doing demon shit. Anyway I can’t believe we see that his true form is gelatinous eldritch eye blob (gee that sounds familiar lmfao) and it came up ONCE and never again! I demand body horror

- I know I’ve already told you this but season two was bad but Alois was good!! He used to be pretty controversial before, but atm the fandom mostly seems to like him? Finally some good taste. Also I’m forever upset that Yana apparently considered writing him into the Weston arc and then didn’t? We were robbed.

- LBR we’re never getting a Weston arc adaptation…

Grishaverse:

- I’ve somehow managed to immediately dislike any ship LB has tried to make endgame. Idk I just do not like how she handles endgame ship conflict— it’s always very Gender Roles ime? Like exhibit A is Malina’s everything.

And then Kanej (rip I know it’s both the fan favorite and your favorite) is very cut and dry goodhearted girl demands cruel dude to change. And like it was. fine I guess? I’m not meaning to insult them by including them with Malina lol but it was just boring and not my thing. And it didn’t help that Inej kept being taken hostage, hurt, or somehow threatened to spur Kaz into action. Like I don’t think it was done in a particularly bad way! It just personally put me off the ship.

Then with Zoyalai it’s like slightly better where Nikolai entire thing is like “I am a wilting flower within a gilded cage! I must marry for politics but I would like to marry for love. Specifically my hot gruff general who doesn’t seem to give a damn about me 🥺” Like that is a FANTASTIC basis tbh? But then you already know how I feel about her throwing his father’s portrait into the fire. And then the bit where Zoya has to be in mortal peril for Nikolai to learn how to control his demon completely killed it for me.

- LOL well I don’t think there’s been a truly good wrap up in this series yet? LB is good at throwing things on the page that feel conclusive/follow face value beats. But I can’t think of a single book, let alone series wrap up, that actually tied things up well.

S&B, literally the first book, comes the closest imo? And that’s partly because it’s definitively not a wrap up, it’s obviously the start of a larger story. Also points taken off for the climactic choices about mercy having fuck all to do with anything the earlier story laid out.

After that, I think it’s a tie between CK and RoW for best wrap ups? And that’s not saying much, I didn’t really like what she did with either of them structurally, thematically, or just like on a content “where are the characters at?” level. Again, I think she only understands tropes and recurring beats in endings without fully getting the function of what makes them work and why. (an example being both the SoC duology and TGT operating on an “ending right where you started” circular arc to varying degrees of um. arguable. success)

I might be slightly crankier about this because I haven’t the read the books in awhile lol. I tend to remember things either with undue generosity or ire 😂 But yeah tldr on grishaverse wrap ups: I don’t like them!

Summary:

This is a Oneshot book I been working on for the past few months with the Kuroshitsuji Characters. My writing is not the best but I love sharing these little stories with these characters from the Series. There's Fluff, angst, and lemon. I take request as well if anyone is interested. All these characters belong to Yana.

Chapter 1: Ciel x maid!reader Part 1

Ciel Phantomhive x Maid!reader

It's been almost 2 years and a half since I been working in the Phantomhive Manor and by each passing day, it feels more like home too me. I smile softly as I clean a teacup with a rag, I can still remember like it was yesterday, Since My dear Master and Sebastian found me in that old forsaking place I used to 'live' in. A soft sigh escapes my lips as I place the cup down. Keep it together Y/n, there's no room to remember the harsh past. The priority in this life now is to keep the Manor at least in one piece and protect that young lord and everyone that have come to become so close as family to me.

I step off the little stool I was standing up on while I watch the dishes. Softly rubbing my hands as I look around the kitchen, everything was finally clean and in shape. A smile rose to my face as a place my hands on my hips. "Finally we can gladly say this place is in one p-".

-sounds of people screaming from afar-

"Yyyy/nnnn!!!" Finnian's panic voice called out from outside the backyard. My shoulders dropdown. "Of course it was too good to last" I mutter out under my breath as I quickly ran out to the backyard. Once outside my jaw nearly drop as my eyes winded by the mess am witnessing. Finnian is holding a tree trunk while sobbing. while Meyrin, Bardroy, and Snake try to put down a small fire that covers the flowers in the garden. Some statues in the distant where destroy as with some trees also. The poor garden! Completely destroy!

"Now what in the bloody blazes is happening here!?" I shouted as I ran down the stairs case to them. Anger but mostly worry and panic covering my facial features. "We are very sorry Miss Y/n yes we are! W-we try to plant some flowers that the master order b-but one of those nasty rabbits where eating th-the flowers a-" Meyrin tried to explain. "I try to catch it but I ended up destroying the flowers we planted, Waaah!" Finnian cut in as he cried his eyes out. He holds on to my dress as he kept apologizing to me. I looked back at the rest as they looked away in shame. Another sigh escapes my mouth as I softly patted Finnian strawberry blonde head, trying to calm him down. This isn't the first time this has happened, its clear but I could never bring myself to be actually mad at any of them for real.

"There, there Finnian don't cry. Take big breaths and clean does tears. Can someone get me a bucket of water to put out that fire, Sebastian can not see this mess" I quickly order out. Even though being only 2 years older than the young master I been treated like a young adult already like him by my behavior and strict demeanor when it came to a serious situation. The 4 of them stood up straight and give me their usual 'yes Ma'am' before scattering in different directions to look for say bucket of water.

I rubbed my temples as I looked around again. This is not good, if Sebastian sees this we might not see the light of day by his wrath! I can not take getting scold by him again. Panic was taking over me as I looked back at the mess. "Oh dear..." I mumbled out fidgeting with the end of my sleeves. I saw Bard ran back and FINALLY put out the fire. Everyone let out a sigh of relief, quickly they cheer between each other. "See? What I told ya! we totally got this under control! We don't need Sebastian to keep everything tidy!" Bard says as he flexes his bicep while holding it. Grinning to himself with his eyes closed as he smiles at the rest.

"Bard please watch your mouth, Seba-" I cut myself off as Sebastians tall dark figure pass by me and made his way over to Bardroy whose back was facing him. "What was that Y/-Yaoow!!" Sebastian hit Bardroy right on the head, which he quickly hold on too. "Now what happened here? Hmm?" Sebastian's low but soothing voice said as he looked back at them with a close eye smile. A dark and scary Aura was clearly visible from our view as his faked smile was still present. "M-mister Sebastian! W-we can e-explain!" Finnian exclaimed as he waved his arms around in panic while already tearing up again, Meyrin covers her face as Snake stood quiet. All of them once again in a panic.

" There isn't enough time for explanations, the young master will be going out later in the evening and tea time is in a few minutes. Y/n can you please be a dear and get the young master his tea and treat for the evening before departing? I will.." He sighs deeply as he looked around then back to the servants. "handle this.." He almost mutters out."Right away" I said as a bow before walking inside quickly. There was no way in God's name I will be around when Sebastian is about to unleash full hell on the servants because of their careless acts. I do hope he goes a bit easier this time on them. One can truly wish, but that was clearly not happening.

I quickly hurried down the halls to the Young lord's study, the cart was conveniently set to the side of the door practically waiting for me to take it in. I dusted off my dress before nervously knocking on the door. I was trying to hold back the blush trying to rise up on my cheeks by the idea of Going inside to the Master's studies....alone..with him... "Enter" a bored tone came from the other side of the wooden door, which can only belong to My dear Young Master. A smile dared to come to my lips as an open up the door and push the cart in. There I saw him, he was sitting in his big office chair while writing down on some papers on his desk. He had such a neutral expression on. The expression that I always try to decipher into what might be going through his head. "Good evening Young Master," I said as I stop the cart next to him. His head quickly shot over to my direction as he blinked a few times as he looked at me. He seemed like he wasn't expecting me at all. It quickly gave me a weird feeling in my chest, but ignore it as I serve him tea. "Good evening Y/N..." He mumbled out as he lay back on his chair as he looked at me quietly. I could actually feel my stomach flipping and turning by his gaze on me. "Where's Sebastian?" He asked as he watches me place his plate of strawberry cake down with a cup of tea in front of him. "Oh well you see my lord, something came up. He will return soon" I said politely as I looked at him. "Let me guess, those buffoons messed up the Garden again?" He asked as he sips on his tea with an unamused look. I sigh softly before smiling a bit. "Yes my lord, it seems they have accidentally ruined some flowers in the garden...again" I mumble out.

A small 'tch' noise came out of him as he looked down at his piece of cake. "Of course, I'm not even surprised." He mumbles out. I stood next to him as he finishes off his piece of cake before grabbing the plate and setting it down on the cart. "Well if that is all I will leave you then Young lord, Sebastian did say you two will be leaving later so I will make sure to get all your things ready," I said as I bow down. I need to get out of here, the longer I stay alone with him the more I feel my heart about to come out of my chest. I turn around to leave before his voice stops me in my tracks.

"Y/n" he said from where he sat. My heart skipped a bit as I slowly turn around. His chin was resting on the palm of his hand as he looked at me. His sky blue eye carefully studies me as I clearly knew I had a surprised look on my face. "Y..yes my Lord?" I stutter out. Dear Y/n you must look like a fool to stutter something so simple!. I curse at myself as gulp down the knot on my throat. He still had the neutral look on his face but deep down as I kept looking in his eye I swear I could see..amusement in them? No...Some types of mischief might suit it more. But whatever it was it felt like it was eating me whole with such a simple look. "The Queen has sent me out to investigate something out of town that involves a case of recent disappearing of young children and woman, I will like you to come with me and Sebastian to check it out." He calmly explains. This took me back completely. He never needs me in cases, and I usually only leave the Manor to go out to buy what we need. This is quite odd, but I can't just refuse. This might even be a change to might get closer to h- dear heavens Y/n get your heads out of the clouds! "I will gladly accompany you my lord," I said in a confident tone.

He hums in approval of my respond. "Good, Sebastian will bring your clothing to your room" he added, "We will be attending a normal public gathering down the docks. It's some type of Summer festival, so you will need causal clothing" Sebastian suddenly spoke out from behind me. I jump slightly as I quickly turn around to look at him pass by me. When did he even get in!?!? He needs to STOP doing that. I hold onto my chest as I watch him chuckled at my reaction.

Ciel sends him a rather annoy looked but quickly brushes it off as he stared back at me. "Hopefully we can find a start on the leading of this investigation, whoever is involved seems to be more interesting in young girls and boys. So you and I will be what you will say the bait in this little game of whoever is behind this." Ciel said as he fidgets with his pen in hand as he watches my expression go serious as I listen. "Alright, so if we do end up finding whoever it is and he tries to get us before Mister Sebastian is around.." I looked down before looking at Ciel with a serious look. "I will take him down once you order," I said in a serious low tone.

"Hm, very good," Ciel said as he pushes his papers away to the side. He felt his heartbeat raising and he didn't understand why. Was it because of the way you seem so overprotective of him? Or was it the way you talk that drove him to the excitement on what will happen? Sebastian watches quietly as the smile or his face grew slightly.

"Well since Miss Y/N knows what's the plan, Why don't we get ready Young lord?" Sebastian said as he leans behind Ciel's chair to pull it back. Ciel sigh as he stood up. "Might as well get it over with, can't keep the Queen waiting." The young Earl said as he started to walk out of the room. Y/N bowed as she waited for him to pass before following. Sebastian closes the door behind him. "I already place your clothing in your room Y/n, do get ready. I will get you in a few before we leave" Sebastian instructed to the small young maid. "Yes sir, please excuse me." Y/n said as she quickly bowed again and walked off to her room. Ciel quietly watches her walked off out of sight in the hallway as he holds his cane. "Don't stare too long my Lord" Sebastian said in a teasing tone snapping the young boy out of his trance. "Be quiet" he quickly said as he shakes his head slightly, his cheeks a soft color of pink as he walked off to his room with his butler in black following along. This will be awfully fun to watch... Sebastian thought to himself as he smirked.

Y/n close the door behind her letting her body softly slide down to the floor. She couldn't help by smile widely as she holds her pink cheeks in her hands. He wants me to help in a case??? He wants me to investigate alone...with him...he trusts me enough to help him out!?. Y/n softly patted her cheeks as she looked down still smiling. Her hand softly reaching up to the end of the bow that held her hair up. It was a black color that luckily fitted her maid uniform. Her smile grew as she felt her blush worsen by the thoughts that started filling her mind. I remember when he gave it to me... She looked up to her bed before standing up. Looking at the attire that Sebastian had picked out for her. It was a rather simple white and blue dress, with long sleeves and skirt that reach down below the knees. It was simple but cute. I can't fail this mission..no matter what happens... I will protect the young master..just as he protected me...

After a few hours of getting ready they where all ready to go. Bardroy was helping Sebastian get some luggage into the carriage as they prepare to leave. "We won't be out for too long, do not break or destroy anything while we are gone" Sebastian demanded as he looked at the 4 servants smiling at him unfazed by his little threat. "Yes, sir!" They all said. Finnian ran over to help Ciel up the carriage, but stop to pull Y/n in a tight hug before helping her in also. "Take care Y/N please be careful will you?" He said worried as he held into the female's shoulders. Y/n let out a small giggle at the little farmers worried actions. "I will don't need to worry Finny" she patted his head softly as she pushes some of his hair off his face. Ciel looked at them interact before looking away irritated. "Hurry up will you know, we don't have all day" He mutters out. Y/N looked over to him before getting up into the carriage, waving to the rest goodbye. Sebastian hum slightly at this as he got in as well.

I place my hands on my lap as I looked out the window. Its been quite the while since I been out of the Manor. "The dress looks quite lovely on you Y/n, glad it's a good fit on you" Sebastian brought me back to reality as I looked over to him. "O-oh thank you, Sebastian, that's kind of you to say" I smiled at him as a blush creeps on my cheeks now feeling both their attention on me now. "What do you think master, I did choose a good one for her didn't I?" Sebastian said looking at the boy taking him off guard by the question. Ciel clears his throat as he looked at Y/n. "It looks..quite lovely on you, it does fit you perfectly." A soft blush rose to his cheeks as he spoke. But poor Y/n face was a bright pink before looking away quickly. "T-thank you.." She whispers out. Sebastian let out a small chuckle as he sighs. Amusing indeed...

A few hours pass before they arrived out of the city and to the coast, Sebastian helps both the young lord and Y/n out of the carriage and they soon were greeted by music and people celebrating as kids run passed them. Whatever this festival was about, was clearly taking over the whole town and businesses. Ciel quietly looked around the streets were filled with people. "It's better for us to head to the hotel and get settled before we start to look around my lord" Sebastian suggested as he looked around the crowds of people walking around. "Hm alright it will be better anyways" Ciel holds into his cane as They started to walk down the streets. Y/n looked around amazed by the decorations the whole city had put together for this festival. Not even noticing that her spacing out of the decorations was making her trail off a bit far away from Ciel and Sebastian. Whom he turns around to glance back only to see her far away looking into a store window smiling to herself.

I glanced down at the stuff animals in the shop window. It was one of the lords business Bitter rabbits! I always thought they look so cute with the stitched up clothes. Before I look over to the other toys someone suddenly grabbed my wrist and pulled me to start walking. Easily I start to panic out but soon calm down seeing the young lord was the one dragging me along. I stared at the back of his head as we walk. "You should be more careful....a lady such as yourself can be easily lost here or worse..." He said loud enough for me to hear as he glances over to me. His blue eyes showing something out of place to me I couldn't explain if I could. It sends a light shiver down my spine as I looked down at his hand holding my wrist. Too close...

He leads us back to where Sebastian was waiting for us at the entrance of the hotel. He waited for us to catch up before heading inside. We waited quietly for our room. The heat of my face was coming back as I notice the young lord's hands still holding mine. He must have not noticed this or something cause he seemed unconsciously intertwine his fingers with mine. I looked back up at him a bit shyly and nervous than usual. He was talking to Sebastian about something but I couldn't even concentrate on what! This was too distracting

"Did you heard that Y/n?"Ciel said as he looked at hee. The short girl snapped out of it as she blinked at him. "Huh???" She said dumbfounded on what he said. "I said we will be sharing all the same room, but there will be more than one bed so you don't have to worry much it will only be for a day or two." Ciel said. "Were you even listening?" Sebastian added with a raised brow.

I laugh nervously. "My apologies, I might have zoned out while waiting.." She scratches her cheek with her free hand. How cute... He couldn't help it but find her behavior simply adorable. He finds your shy side so uncontrollably cute and appealing to him. He just wanted to tease you more if he could. God how he wanted too... It was strange for him to admit too this, that he thought things like this from someone else other than his fiance, but it was simply impossible. It was getting harder and harder every day for him to stop thinking about you constantly. "Let us get going then," Sebastian said as he leads them to their room a few floors up.

Once we got on the room Sebastian place all the things down. "Well let us get started shall we?" He said going straight to the point. But soon stop as he clear his throat as he looked over to his Master hand still holding you'rs. Ciel's poor face flushed pink quickly as he let go. "Yes, of course, we already know where he's going to strike, we just need to know when and whom and what area of the festival will be his next target might be," Ciel said trying to play it off as he walked to the bed and sat down. You blink a few times as you thought. "Wouldn't it be better to look around the places where we can infer that the kidnapping might take place? The festival has plenty of places where any of this can happen" She though out loud as she walked around the room back and forth. "Hm..you're right on that, Sebastian scout all the different areas that may be possible for this" Ciel said as he softly rubbed the ring on his "Yes my lord," Sebastian said as he places his hand on his chest. Going over to the luggage and taking some clothes off. "Better get change into this then if we're going to start then" Sebastian added as he pulls out Ciels costume for this case. Which he signs heavily. "...great..." he said with dread in his tone.

After we got ready Sebastian went ahead to look around leaving me and the Young master alone looking around by ourselves. Everything seems normal as we roam around. Everywhere we go there was some kind of attraction or market out. Many people cheering and enjoying themselves. "This is quite the entertainment for many people isn't my lord?" I said as I looked back at him. He had his usual bored look on his face as he looked to the small booth of games. "It will be for most, but this is mostly just filthy games that are made to scam people" he mumbled out. I crack a small smile at him. "Awe come on it's not all that bad, how..how about we try one! S-since you know nothing much has happened and it's still pretty early.." I fidget with my hands. He glanced back at me before sighing. "Fine so be it, which game do you want to try?" He asked with a raised brow. "O-oh! Uh, umm...how about that one, with the balls and towers?" I pointed it out I didn't think he'll agree... It seems simple enough. It was your typical throw a ball and hit the tower to get a prize. He hums slightly before heading over to it, I quickly trail behind him. "Two please," he said at the old man behind the booth. He didn't say much other than hand over the balls and take Ciel's money. "Here go first," he said handing me one of the balls. A took it, looking at the target before easily hitting it down. I smile widely as a clap my hands together. "Yes! I got it on the first try!" I cheer, I looked back at Ciel "you try to know!" I exclaim giving him the ball. "Me?" He blurts out taken back "you're the one who wanted to play this silly game," he said crossing his arms. "Yeah but... I also wish for you to have a bit of fun too my lord.." I said smiling at him. He thought for a moment before sighing deeply. "Fine only once.." He mumbles out as he grabbed the ball and looked at the small tower. He threw the ball and...missed, oh dear. "Oh no, well at-" "let me do it again" he cut me off as he threw another ball at it. It only knocks half of the tower down. "Oh, you hit it!" I said clapping again. Ciel smirks slightly satisfied that he got it. There was no way he was gonna look bad in front of a lady, let alone you of all people.

"Here's your prize" mumble out the old man as he handed me a small stuff animal. "Oh thank you, sir," I said grabbing the small animal. "That wasn't that bad, now was it my lord?" She said looking at him. "...let us do another one" Ciel blurt out as he looked at another booth. I blinked several times at this before smiling at him. It won't do any harm if we play a bit, its still to early for anything to happen yet "Um okay, Just one more though...we still have a case to solve after all " I added as she followed her master. I can for sure give her a bigger prize than that. Ciel thought to himself as he walked in front of another booth. Slamming a few coins in the counter. "Two please"

One game went to two and to two to five. They almost ended up playing many of the game around while Ciel failing in half of them but still managing to get you at least one big stuff bear which had you blushing madly but still smiling in gratitude by his efforts on winning you a prize. Somehow we both manage to have a bit of actual much fun, Ciel actually seemed to be enjoying himself as he let out a small laugh or two over my excitement or praise of him winning any game. "Where to next my lord?" I said as I looked up to the sky, it was full of stars already. Nothing seemed to happen yet..maybe..we haven't noticed yet? "Ciel" he suddenly said in a serious tone. "I beg y-your pardon?" I blurt outback as I stared at him wide-eyed. "I want you to call me Ciel, at least when we are alone. I don't like you saying 'young master' all the times it gets on my nerves" he confessed as he scratch on his neck as he looked to the side. "O-oh okay, if you said so...Ciel.." I whisper out his name and practically letting it roll out my tongue for the first time. A blush manages to creep on both our faces because of that simple moment. "L-lets get going, then I think I saw caramel apples up ahead and I'm starving over here by all of this walking, and the fact that nothing is happen yet is even more tiring," he said as he continues to walk forward. "Alright, I am quite hungry t-oah!" My heel got stuck in a crack on the ground. My body going forward as I began to fall. I close my eyes waiting to feel the floor greet my face but it never came. The only thing I could feel was the embrace of someone holding my body tightly as they tried not to fall themselves. I slowly open my e/c to meet a blue one that was looking directly at me with surprise and worried. "A..are you alright?..." He breathes out as he looked at me. "Y-yeah I think so..." I whisper out. I felt my heart beating against my chest madly and I knew he could feel it too with how close we were. But we still didn't move we just stood like that. With me in his arms staring at each other as our face got worse with the second as the heat arose. "Ci-Ciel..?" I whisper out as I softly hold into his shoulders. I can't look away... I can't...The navy blue-haired boy was leaning forward by just hearing her voice. "Yes Y/n?..." He whispers out. He felt like his heart was about to come out of his chest. Has she always been this beautiful? He didn't want to look away from her, it was like he was completely hypothesized by her. "I-i t-"

"Ciel? Is that you over there?" A rather high pitched voice called out from afar. He quickly turns away over to the voice direction. They both quickly let go of each other. Oh no, why here of all places? And why now!

Summary:

Second and last part from the first chapter posted for Ciels Oneshot, Ciels and the reader's little fun time has been caught short and brought back to the mission in hand.

"C-Ciel?.." I manage to whisper out. The navy blue-haired boy could only lean closer at her voice. "Yes Y/n...?" He whispers out to her. He couldn't tear his eyes from her... He felt like his heart was about to come out of his chest. Has she always been this beautiful? He didn't want to look away from her, it was like he was completely hypothesized by her. "I-i t-"

"Ciiieel? Is that you over there?" A rather high pitched voice called out from afar. He quickly turns away over to the voice direction. They both quickly let go of each other. Oh no, why here of all places? And why now!

As soon as they parted away, they quickly got their composure as they looked over to the well familiar blonde-haired girl who tried to get to them with her maid trailing behind her calling for her to wait. She wasn't completely in their field of view but it was hard not to miss her. In a quick panic, many things flooded Ciel's mind. Why is Elizabeth here?! Seem to be the first thing to pop on his mind. And what is she gonna think once she sees him in this silly outfit his wearing?. In a sudden swift movement, Ciel's and your vision were a blur as you two got grabbed and carried away in a blink of an eye behind a stand. Sebastian standing tall as he shields them from the blonde girl who passes by. Looking quite confused as she swore she saw the familiar blue navy, haired boy.

A loud sigh of relief escape both of us. "that was a close call.." Sebastian said with an almost teasing smile as he steps back. "uh yeah.." I mumble out as a let my body relax, I didn't even notice how tense that situation got me. Ciel seemed to be the same as he peeks his head out the stand over to see Elizabeth walking away. "Sebastian did you knew Lizzy will be attending the festival?" he said to his butler with anger and annoyment in his tone. Sebastian only closes his eyes as he smiles and places his hand on where his heart was supposed to be. " I did not my lord, if I knew Lady Midford was attending I would have told you." he simply said as he kept smiling at his young master. "but I do have to ask my lord, what where you two doing be-" "Nothing, lets move before Lizzy ends up actually spotting us" Ciel quickly interrupted the butler as he started walking away. Ciel's cheeks were burning up as he tried playing it off, both his servants following behind his heels.

I softly played with the end of my sleeves as I followed them. what was he going to do moments ago? was he?..no no..he wasn't..was he? I could feel my cheeks heat up by the thought. Sebastian cleared his throat as he kept following the young boy. "While I was searching the area, I might have found some odd activities coming from a stand-up, its a magic performance and it seems to be popular so far with what I have seen. It seems to be catching everyone's eye." Sebastian said as Ciel look back at him. " What's the odd activity that catches your eye?" Ciel asks with a raised eyebrow. "Well the host seemed pretty normal, a man in his late 30's I presume. But he works alone and his performance and acts seemed to be suspiciously impressive for just a man to do by himself" he said as he thought out loud. "As in...acts of disappearing certain objects and making them reappear. I watch carefully but haven't managed to understand how he's doing it, with permission I would suggest keeping an eye on that performer my lord" he added. "Hm...very well, lets head over and see this so-called magician," Ciel said waving a hand uninterested.

As we made our way over to where the so-called magician was performing, it was already crowded with a handful of people. I jump slightly on my heels trying to peak over the crowd. No use the only thing I could see was the mere outline of whoever was performing. "Let's try getting closer," I told Ciel who couldn't see either from where we stood. A sudden spark of confidence washing me as I grab his hand and made my way through the crowd and to the front. The heat on my cheek daring to come back as I gently let go of his hand as soon as we got to the front.

My attention quickly went to the stage in front of us, a tall man dress up in a tuxedo held a top hat as he showed it to the crowd, it was empty on the inside. He then looks inside of it, reaching inside to pull out a tight up handkerchief of different colors. The crowd started clapping impress by the stunt that the magician pull. It seemed pretty simple, nothing so drastic. He continues to pull out more simple tricks, cards, pigeons, all of them simple and small to catch the eyes of the kids that look mesmerized by all of it. Ciel didn't seem to impress what so ever. Starting too think it was a waste of time, but before he turns over to pull you away to leave he took a glance at your smiling face. It wasn't overjoyed or amaze by the silly little tricks. "Oh, o-okay then" you mumble out smiling at him slightly looking down at his hand and yours. You ignored the squeezing feeling in your chest as you both started to walk away.

"Now for my next act! I will make someone Disappear! Any volunteers?" We both stop on our tracks as we looked back at the stage. The children around us quickly raise their hands wanting to get chosen. The man looked around the crowd before his eyes landed on a girl barely next to me. "You there come on up!" The man said as he encourages the girl to go upstage. The girl quickly run-up to the stage excitedly as she stood next to the man. "Now lady's and gentlemen, boy and girls ill make this lovely Volunteer disappear in the county of 3!" He said as he pulls out a long purple cloak and places it on top of the girl. "There's no way" Ciel said as he watches. "One....two....three!" He quickly removed the cloak from where the girl stood.

Behind the Fic: TW:OPT - Chapter 151-156

Happy birthday to me. Here’s a Wallmart chapter update instead of the TW:OPT Finale I wish I can do *yeets chapter*

WARNING: This will contain a bit of spoiler for the newest chapters of my fan fiction Twisted-Wonderland: Our Precious Treasure.

So, the line might be blurry. I should’ve written my notes after each chapter. So, spare me if I forget a lot of details.

Chapter 151: Grim Grinning Ghosts Come Out to Socialize

This chapter is Kalim’s POV because I want to make it an at least smooth transition from the previous arc to the next. While Kalim is not a big player in the arc, he’s still there.

So, there is an idea about the spell that Kalim mentioned. "Postestas Destruam'' comes from two Latin words: "postestas'' means "authority, Power, control, Dominion, force, might'' and "destruam" means "tear down". This is a spell that can break mind control spell/power, for example, Jamil’s Snake Whisper.

The idea was, that if in the future, there are more hypnotists involved, Kalim, who has experienced them, can break it. So, you can take this as he’s maybe traumatized from what happened in the training camp. However, I assure you that this doesn’t mean that he doesn’t trust Jamil anymore. Just a safety precaution.

I actually really like the parallel between Azul/Jonah dan Kalim/Jamil, that’s why Azul commented how Kalim changed a bit because himself had changed as well.

The fight scene here is really short. I think my friend suggested a fight from the Power Ranger series so I just took a random compilation clip.

So, yeah. Jonah got kidnapped. Told you so.

A small throwaway line from Rook. Yes, I will be giving them some idol outfits for their VDC performance because it’s a crime not to!

Eliza’s full name is taken from various names of the Beating-Heart Bride since it seems that’s Yana’s inspiration. Those names are “Mélanie Ravenswood” from the Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris and “Elizabeth Henshaw” from The Haunted Mansion 2003 film.

Now, let’s talk about the whole reincarnation thing. Originally, I’m keeping this for future chapters, however, I think because of the flow of the chapter, I decided to write it. The whole thing is my Retelling Doctrine, which will be explained more in the final episode.

However, I did hint about some cycles. One example is in Chapter 116 with Vil. But I’m taking liberties for the reason why the plot follows the Disney movies.

Chapter 152: Desired Requirements for the Bridegroom

This chapter is in Riddle's POV. I forget the reasoning, but I think honestly I can't pick, so we go with Riddle default. Besides, he has a major role in the arc. Also, I need to have at least one Riddle POV since, you know, his crush is kidnapped lol.

The return of BirdDad lol

Yes. Sam tried to fight the ghosts when they kidnapped Jonah and Idia. You guys will see it in Chapter 155.

Now, this is where I kinda struggle between the original scenario where "Eliza has this too much standard" and the new "Eliza wants the man with the same soul", so all these criteria are meaningless. However, I think this when I decided "wait, what if the prince charming is real, but with a twist?" So, this is the birth of "Eliza has two people she once in love with before Jonah." You'll see this in Chapter 156.

And that is how we still use the original "Eliza has this too much standard" plot point while still applying " Eliza wants the man with the same soul". A bit flimsy? Yeah, sorry about that.

Actually I once forgot to copy-paste a whole section (I think it was where Cater asked about what if the ideal prince gives the ring), but it was fixed how. Well, that was embarrassing.

Chapter 153: Changing the Topic at my Own Discretion

Vil POV chapter let's go.

Now, remember in canon Vil changed from "atashi" to "boku"? Similar to Indonesian Floyd, the change of speech wouldn't work well in writing form compared to the visual/audio form. Most writing I think would just ignore that line and technically I did as well.

To substitute this, I decided to show the whole "future headmaster Vil" thing because we hadn't seen this since Chapter 140

Relating to what Azul mentioned in Chapter 127, Vil knows various secrets of the school, including secret passageways.

When writing headmaster!Vil, I do have a vision that he has more authority than all students. Like, he can expel a student with the agreement from Crowley.

Floyd is not scared of normal!Vil, but is threatened by headmaster!Vil.

I mean, I always see Vil as someone who would probably be placed in the top-rank student. Also, considering this is something that Neige doesn't have, he would work hard for it as well. Imagine an idol being a headmaster. So, he knew more spells, including barrier spells as mentioned many times below.

Eliza is the same here, however, canon never said her real age (to be fair she's a ghost). I always headcanon him being a teen around the same age as the main cast which is why she would marry Idia and is quite a brat. Like, don't deny that all of us are selfish brats during our teen years (I know I was). However, I kinda de-aged her again, so now she's thirteen years old, a tween, and even more of a brat lol!

Obligatory Hamilton reference. Like, come on, her name is Eliza! This song fit her! (and watch this cute animatic) And Vil rapping because why not. I might change the lyrics when I'm editing this.

Chapter 154: Fakes Who Don’t Understand a Maiden’s Heart

There's not much change between this chapter and canon since this is just retelling the next slapping scene.

Trey POV honestly came out of nowhere. Like, I'm trying to pick someone's POV and Trey seemed to be the easiest.

And then I ended up making Trey a bit as a jerk...? Mostly the reasoning is he doesn't know Jonah much so his feeling (platonic) toward him is weak. Which, yes, like what I mentioned in the Jonah’s relationship chart I made, I do intend to not make Jonah close to everyone since, again, this is not a harem story. Trey in is the category of 'acquaintances with Jonah' compared to Riddle 'friend to Jonah', so there is still this distance between Trey and Jonah.

You think the groom will be Idia, but it was him: Jonah! Told you there’s going to be a twist here. I’ve planned this for a long time!

Chapter 155: Please Marry Me, Dear Ideal Prince

The return of Jonah Argentum after not appearing since Chapter 149 (but honestly is role in Kalim's Disappearance Arc is also a bit minor)

This is the first chapter I've ever wrote for this arc and is intended to be the first chapter. However, after the end of the previous arc, to make it flow better, this chapter served as a flashback chapter. Which I think was our first ever full flashback?

‘Kyoto Nya Nya’ is a parody of Tokyo Mew Mew. I headcanon it’s a Queendom of Rose magical girl series lol

There’s a tiny influence from Barbie a Fairy Secret. Because it also involves kidnapping an unwilling groom (Ken)

Sam to the rescue!

I asked my Discord friend whether I should give Sam a gun like I did in the Kingdom Hearts AU, and it was a hard yes. The difference is KH AU Sam has two guns like a cowboy while OPT Sam has a musket like the American Revolution War gun (thanks, Hetalia).

Sam's unique magic is made up. The chants came from the Friend from the Other Side, the name is the word “facile” from Dr. Facelier, and the concept is similar to Bungou Stray Dogs Ryuunosuke Akutagawa’s Rashomon.

Sam’s fight against the ghosts is based on Mami Tomoe vs Gertrude from Episode 2 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime

Jonah's groom's suit is inspired by Noctis' final wedding suit from Final Fantasy XV ending.

I may or may not have tried to make Eliza more likable. I already love her from the beginning, but the accidental lore makes me want to add more to her while still maintaining that childishness we’ve seen in canon. We shall see in the next chapter.

Chapter 156: Boy, You Got Me Helpless!

The original title of this chapter was 'Once Upon a Dream'. You know the Sleeping Beauty song. But I changed it again to continue with the Hamilton references train.

Now. Why even bother giving Eliza a full-chapter backstory? Honestly, even if this arc is a lighter tone, there are some important plot points here and there. And Eliza with Jonah's ancestors is one of them. I'll explain more in the final episode.

Another thing is I do want to explore one possibility of why Eliza is like that. I don't want it to make Eliza just some lovesick brat with no things backing her up. So, why not make her story somewhat of a tragedy?

However, I do admit it was weak, because: 1) Heartbreak story was never my strongest suit, (2) I am on a time crunch. I'll be probably editing this in the rewrite.

Actually, there was a difference from the first draft. Originally, Eliza and Felipe were genuinely in love with each other (inspired by Noctis and Lunafreya's relationship in FFXV), but Eliza was killed on the way to the wedding. However, this contradicts the other plan of having Jonah as the groom and his ancestor thing, so Eliza's story was changed so Felipe, who fulfilled his criteria, rejected her, and Jonah's ancestors renewed that love.

The names in Eliza's past are inspired by some England royal family. We have King Henry VIII (King Heinrich (the dad)), Anne Boelyn (Queen Anna (the unnamed mom)), Edward VI (Prince Eduard (the unnamed brother)), Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Felipe), Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark (King Andreas (the prince's father)), Princess Alice of Battenberg (Queen Alissa (the prince's unmentioned mother)).

I gave Chubby a real name Christopher. My first thought was Christopher Robin.

We don't exactly know how old Eliza is but what we know is that she's a spoiled brat who doesn't take 'no' for an answer. Huh, that sounds like something a teenager or someone younger would do. Thus, she is now a ghost of a 13 years old princess. Like, when else are you gonna find a petty brat, especially on the internet?

Also, Eliza being 13 and Felipe being 16 is a Romeo and Juliet reference.

More Hamilton reference. We're still using 'Helpless' for this so for the title and "1 week later, 2 weeks later". I decided to stretch it to one month. Still, one month of a long-distance relationship through letters is still a short time.

Ad the last part "she looks like a horse" is from the TV show The Tudors. No, I never watched it, I just found a compilation of the queens and saw King Henry called Anne of Cleves that.

So, about Jonah's ancestor, Nathan Ferrer. They are twisted from the same character (which will be revealed in the finale), but the name has an influence from Nathaniel Flint from Treasure Planet.

The first name is taken from Nathan Drake, or “Nate”, The protagonist of the video game series Uncharted, which includes four main games: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The last name is taken from Jaume Ferrer, a Majorcan sailor and explorer who sailed from Majorca to find the legendary "River of Gold" on 10 August 1346, but the outcome of his quest and his fate is unknown.

When I'm making Nathan Ferrer for the first time, I honestly don't know what he would look like. But then I remembered One Piece existed. So, I decided, since Shanks kinda has Jonah's looks, it's only fair that Nathan Ferrer has Monkey D. Luffy looks.

Actually, relating to the whole early Retelling Doctrine, Nathan's name was not supposed to appear at all. His name would only be revealed in the last episode of this arc. But because of the change in Eliza's backstory, he was namedropped in this chapter.

This is also related to Eliza's backstory change. Because there were two love interests, it would be better to not get confused.

Azul and Riddle's last-minute appearance was not supposed to be there, but I had trouble ending the chapter, so have a cliffhanger.
