Hey THG fans thanks to somone else on here (I'm so sorry but I can't remember the name of your blog) I've kind of become obsessed with making book accurate (or as close as I can get) picrews of Hunger Games characters & now that I'm done with Katniss & Peeta I wanted to show you all some other characters I've been working on. #the hunger games #thg #mockingjay #mj #delly cartwright #picrew #the hunger games picrew #thg picrew #mockingjay picrew #mj picrew #delly cartwright picrew #i know most people draw her with blue eyes because she dosn't come from the seam but tbh i think it's pretty unrealistic that every single #person in town would have blue eyes #like yeah they're white but the dna for blue eyes is still rare #also i personal find it makes the towns people kind of visually boring after a while as they start to look a bit clone like #i added freckles because for some reason she just gave me a freckled girl vibe #i originally created her with short hair & i actually think she looked even better like that but looking at the wiki it seems that #canonically her hair is long #and i know me giving her brown eyes & freckles was already pushing it wether people would recognise who she was supposed to be #i also made sure to make her bigger then madge because katniss dose describe her as “having weight to spare” #though in the context of the story she probably wouldn't actually seem all that big to us #i gave her curls because thats how katniss describes her usual hairstyle in mj #and as another way to differentiate between her & madge #which is also why i made sure that while both blonde their hair are different shades #i think she came out really cute #& i hope you like her #as much as i do #also i changed the shape of her face when she's in the d13 because katniss mentions how being orphand made her loose some weight #lastly i made sure she was smiling in almost every image because katniss describes that as one of her most defining traits

#I like thinking of Otto for situations like that for several reasons #cause I usually think of him with red hair so with him and spidey combining dna you could get a kid with red hair #making may-day even in universes where he doesn’t get with MJ #and it’s a funny situation for me to think of him telling other spideys #‘oh me and MJ? that didn’t end up happening’ #‘why do I have this red haired daughter? well funny story actually-‘ #also I like to think that as the kid gets older they have to deal with Otto trying to persuade them to become evil #gifting them mechanical spider legs #which is a cool look #also Otto is my favorite villain to imagine as being the only one who knows Peter’s identity #especially in universes where they used to work together #so rather than sounding like an evil villain like he’s trying to be #he’s trying so hard to sound and be Spidey’s worst nightmare #he just ends up sounding like a bitter ex who misses his lab partner and whenever he explains his ‘evil plan’ #instead of sounding like an actual supervillain using the hero’s fears of forever being alone after their last relative dies #by dangling blood relative in front of them and threatening it #he just accidentally makes it sound like the kid’s his last shot at getting the ex back #kind of a ‘you can’t leave me for another villain I’m pregnant and it’s yours’ type of thing #idk I just prefer Otto for this #otto octavius #flint marko #doc ock #sandman #Spiderman #spider man #spider-man #peter parker #made up dialogue by yours truly

Tysm! I had a bit of trial and error figuring out which way i wanted to draw her but ultimately her original look just won out both in terms of design and just sheer recognizability, altho i do love her big 80s/90s hair i think its a more notable and consistent hairstyle for like felicia than mj. Either way the dimples and her chin were a requirement for me, just like gwens widows peak was for her.
