honestly i don't read much bnha fic or even that much fic in general bc i'm usually too busy writing it. and when i do read fic it's for weird very niche/dead fandoms or pairings i feel like lol.

but my pet peeves are always just any measure of OOC, with differing levels of tolerance for certain choices. let me see what's some questionable stuff i've come across uhhh

katsuki:

aggro sexy dom daddy vibe... especially when it involves any kind of pet names. no this guy would not be calling anyone 'baby girl'. he is not a tiktok mafia au trend.

on the other end of the spectrum, complete soft baby blushy tsundere. he told midoriya to jump off a roof bc he had no future in middle school okay he is... not that.

either way too dramatically brooding/'emo' or completely lacking self awareness. bonjour nuance

also just get his friendships right please. you should be able to make him part of a solid friend group without it feeling like a completely different person. like i think he'd be a very good friend down the line but that doesn't mean i can see him being #goofy besties with everyone.

shouto:

well similar to above either making him too cutesy soft and fragile (todoroki shouto? certified bad motherfucker todoroki shouto? backtalks cops and throws people out of arenas via icebergs? nah) or making him just like. extremely bland stoic. he has a personality y'all.

trying too hard to make him like.. #relatable or sassy is also always a bit too obvious. like if it sounds like a joke someone on tiktok would made realistically shouto would not be making it yk. 'it's the trauma for meeee' i don't think so....

gotta strike the right balance for the family drama. it's bad for him but he's also really emotionally resilient.

todobaku:

when they're not funny/don't banter. have you met these mfs their every interaction is comedy gold.

like just OOC in general!!!!!! relationship content tends to warp either or both characters to fit a trope instead of bending a trope to fit the characters, which is just a waste. if it's not fundamentally a relationship of equals instead of one strong/one needy chara i'm not interested and that's that.

them having very... 'basic' relationship dynamics where they're netflix romcom vibes and have like normal dating progression. first of all adapt romance to the people involved, but also i just do not believe that like. todoroki would be out there texting anyone 'baby ily sm <3333' yk what i mean.

either party being angst central dramatics for the other person to sentimentally ~fix~ as if they don't share the vast bulk of their trauma / have similarly stoic ways of dealing with angst. i'm all for h/c but not melodrama. especially don't enjoy when people add random shit to canon to justify drama like sexual abuse. just not for me

this isn't even about todobaku specifically but i've never seen a good ABO fic in my life. and i do say 'see' because i admittedly tend to not get past the descriptions.

ok that's all i can think of off the top of my head. but please feel free to tell me about the worst ones you've encountered i love to hear people's horror stories.

Tickets to the Todoroki Trauma Drama Are Buy 1 Get 1 Free by miniongrin

Fuyumi and Touya are twins, and get body-swapped. That's pretty much the whole plot, but it's real good at what it do. The characterization of Fuyumi in particular is really entertaining and the fic itself is hilarious while also managing to be shockingly sweet with its sibling dynamics and family moments. I love the Todoroki siblings with my whole heart, and I adore fics about them and their family drama.

A House Divided Against Itself by BeyondTheClouds777

Izuku meets AFO and decides to infiltrate the League and take them down from the inside. This fic is hysterical. I love sassy Izuku. I also love Quirkless Izuku that relies on gadgets and support items and fighting skills instead of a Quirk. Quirkless Izuku fics where Izu is involved in some kind of hero-adjacent work are always fun because Izu has to compensate for his lack of Quirk by working smarter and using his intelligence and skill rather than simply punching someone until they go down. Also, as if this fic wasn't the best already, Izu has a pet crow named Bitcoin, and if that isn't reason enough to check this out, then you are beyond help.

It's exactly what it sounds like. Set in the "Yesterday Upon The Stair" universe, it's just a funny ghost investigators fic. Funny, cute, and friends being dumb teenagers together, which, considering all that they go through in canon, is exactly what they deserve.

Todoroki Shouto's Amateur Guide to Not Fucking Up The Timeline by Anubis_2701

Pro hero Shouto is sent back to different points in time. The dialogue is great, and this is the only characterization of Pro Hero Shouto I will accept. Also really cute and sweet when it wants to be.

Bakugou and Todoroki's Foolproof 5-Step Plan to Fuck with Mineta Minoru by Anubis_2701

Bakugou and Todoroki team up to get Mineta expelled, while also putting the fear of God into him as they go about it. This one is surprisingly angsty, with a lot of conflicts relating specifically to LGBT identity, which is something rarely acknowledged or talked about in fanfiction. There is a lot of homophobic language and bullying, so that kind of sucks, but it can also be very sweet with a lot of good friendship moments between Class 1A. Also Kaminari is really great in this one.

Shouto rediscovers himself and his personality through memes. This one also has a lot of great bonding moments between Shou and Class A, and most importantly, features teenagers being teenagers. Namely: dumb as fuck and doing weird shit just because they can. This is why I love MHA crack specifically, because the kids are hardly ever allowed to just be dumb teenagers in the actual show, so fanfiction has to do it for me. Also, Shouto cosplays as both Sans and Elsa, so that's fabulous.

I think... on the outside, a Maobi baby acts more like Dabi in mannerism, but deep down, leans more towards you in habits. Definitely appears relatively cool and aloof in expression, but is rather quite perceptive and overall very humorous (in that slightly silly but dry and know-it-all Dabi manner).

Given your workaholic nature (ily sorry) and Dabi's ability for long-term planning, I see them as being... oddly organized for a child; the type to hold you to your promises, keep little lists of things in their pockets or even pack up their toy set-ups all nice and neat when not in use. They probably... don't fold their laundry immediately though, and get a lil sassy when you ask LOL.

I also see them as the type of child who picks up on things wayyy better than they should, and constantly makes it known in ways that just end up being super... funny. You know, they hear another kid whining about something, and immediately stare at you w/ an expression that says, "get a load of this guy, huh🙄?" And they'll do this w/ any and every situation, too.

(And esp. when they're forced to eat food that wasn't made by you. They're always polite, of course... but given that you spoil them w/ nice meals and they likely inherited Dabi's very... particular... food standards... they get sad and grumpy when they have to eat something that is just. Not good.)

It's hard to notice, but Maobiby is definitely... a little spoiled. Not in any way that matters because they're also extremely humble (being that they're related to BOTH of you)... but like, they will literally act like they'll die if they aren't allowed to cuddle with you when they want to, going as far as to get all whiney and everything. Literally... 50% of time spent laying in bed or sitting on the couch (w/ Dabi esp.) is interrupted by them getting in with you (or on top of) <333

I was sorta envisioning them as a boy throughout this, but girl dad Dabi is truly... my religion. I feel like it would be delightful if they had his hair and your eyes (so it would truly feel like you were all disconnected from the Todoroki name and would remind him of your silver hair)... but also, your natural, darker hair and his eyes would just make him laugh cuz then they'd just look like him when he had his dyed hair.

Definitely a pretty baby either way. People compliment you on it probably LOOOL.

like this made you just enjoy being sassy with todoroki at any given opportunity

it was so funny to you, how any sarcastic comment was taken so serious by him

and his faces when he was concerned by something you said? the best

unfortunately todoroki got the hang of it very quickly

you blamed sero for explaining to him what sarcasm was

not just because this was just you

sure, it would have been a little bit problematic to be surrounded by people who couldn’t live with your personality at all

but over all you didn’t really care what they thought of you

not before getting to know them closely and you became friends with them

class 1-b was kind of the perfect example

most of them were nice but monoma was just annoying mostly

and he’d already made it his mission to call you out for your hero “untypical” behaviour as he had called it

you had raised your brain eyebrows at him and grinned when he did

and that just because you had made fun of him for being bakugou in more annoying and with a less flashy quirk

it was just a joke

but he took it personal and then he tried to get you back

which was funny because you didn‘t care what he thought of you or said about you

his opinion was invalid to you

you liked your sarcasm and sass

you actually thought you were hilarious

and no one would be able to convince you otherwise

plus your friends supported you so you were pretty happy with yourself

Your Todoroki post though! Your tags! “Stop making him dense I think he would try so hard” thank you so much! I’m so happy someone else sees this! I get so tired of the fanon “oh Roki is airheaded and sheltered” like…he’s actually pretty observant??? Straight up told Iida that he had been watching him after hearing about his brother and worried because he understood that anger. He watches Deku all the time. I think Todoroki is just a lil shit with a dry sense of humor and he likes making people stare at him like “…is he serious?” Because he finds it funny. I think he’d observe the crap out of his partner! See their expressions when watching movies - did their eyes soften when the guy kissed the girl on the forehead and lingered? He’s not entirely sure but the next day when he sees you, he pulls you gently towards him and kisses your forehead, he feels you sink into him and sigh happily and he absolutely files that reaction away. He’s a good egg!

!!! okay i have a lot of thoughts on this and given the fact i never stfu about characterization, i want to say first like BIG agree. 

i think todo fandom characterization boils down to 2 things - it’s either he’s completely dense or he’s this like.. sassy and sarcastic hard character but i kind of have beef with both of these characterizations for a lot of reasons. 

1. i think there is a way to take todorokis trauma into consideration when writing his character. horikoshi, in my opinion, doesn’t do it enough. todoroki would be dense but not in a “oh im so silly i dont know how to have feelings way” but more in a sad kind of “i cannot physically understand that you love me kind of way” because he has no model for his healthier emotions and has spent so much of his life chasing specific expectations. just like dabi, really but i digress. 

2. todorki is like.. in canon very observant of others just like you’ve said. he is both dense and observant they’re just in different ways and we get so much evidence of this. i think ppl just sorta pick one and roll with it but he’s such a varied character and only focusin on one element kind of erases a big part of what makes him so interesting. 

i think the most important detail that it misses is how much todoroki is truly willing to try. 

he, so genuinely, values the connection between himself and 1a. between him and bakugou and midoriya. his friendships. his schoolwork. his herosim - he’s been putting all of this effort. and i think writing him off as a character who is simply sassy or simply dense really misses the point of how tender he is despite what he’s experienced.

i think the biggest evidence of his kindness is how todoroki chose to forgive his mother because he realized that she too had been victim of his fathers abuse. he didn’t have to do that. regardless of what she had been experiencing, todorki was a child and he didn’t deserve what happened. shouto could’ve buried that grudge inside of him forever 

but he didnt. he always is so kind to everyone. he is forgiving. he wants to understand people so much he is always willing to give them leeway.  

even to that deadbeat he calls a father. he is so fucking patient and kind. 

i love todoroki because he isn’t cold really at all. he’s not expressive but he’s loving and very forgiving and he cares very deeply about the people around him. he is such a complex person, genuinely.

the relationship between you two at first was very awkward. 

your fear is what often hindered you from even reaching a familiar bond with men that you rarely told anyone.

you two had been in the same class for three years, and you two had barely spoken to one another. 

the one time that forced you and Todoroki to interact was when you had accidentally set-off a particular rowdy blonde during class is what made Shoto intervene to calm the situation down. 

after he managed to split you two up is when he could clearly see you were shaken up and tried his best to calm you down. 

"You want me to… what?" He paused looking up at you. 

You anxiously bit your lip, facial expression morphing into a frown. “I w-want you to help me.”

“Why… why me?” He stands up, looking down at you from his desk and towers over you.

You freeze upon him doing so, your body not sure what to do as you lift your hands to protect yourself. Your posture catches him off guard, his expression flickering as he knows that kind of body language all too well.

“Shouldn’t you get proper help? I don’t think I can help you...” Shouto's tone was much quieter now. He looks at you for permission to take a seat near you again, hesitating to sit back down next to your desk once you consent.

You sigh softly. "I do, actually. But you're the only male that has never scared me."

hearing that news was so weird to hear coming from his P.O.V. he himself had fears of becoming anything close to his father.

it wasnt until that moment was when he noticed that you werent around any of the guys in your class or ever unless you had to. 

~ dont ask him how he knows, but you intern with a pro-hero who isnt male.

the interaction between you was weird. even with how odd your request was, he accepted.  

Todoroki would read up on your fear, look up different things to help you when he'd come over to your dorm. 

you two ended up being able to open up certain things that you had no idea he struggled with, and you the same. 

your class took notice of your change in relation. 

the looks you guys would give each other when you werent paying attention 100% gave it away. (when has he ever been discreet?)

of course the girls would ask about it but you would deny it all the time. it wasnt until when your small meetings with Todoroki turned to hanging out to him taking you out on dates. 

in with time, you did start get better. you werent magically healed but he did help you find better coping and habits to help you get comfortable. 

the first other male you were comfortable with was Sero, and that was probably it. 

least to say tho, everyone was shook. 

"Did L/N just talk to you?!" Kaminari exclaims, jostling Sero's shoulder. "You're so lucky, man."

Shoto wasnt even jealous or bitter. he was so happy to see you start a conversation without the help of him. 

every other time you would manage to start or have a successful with other males, he would buy you something you really liked or just did an activity you guys enjoyed doing together. 

coincidentally, you receiving help from him helped you get closer and talk to him about his problems too. 

after a year or two later is when you guys actually acknowledge your feelings for each other. 

admittedly he always had feelings for you but never made a move until you showed that you were ready for that. 

so yeah, you confessed first and he was so relieved?! the feelings that came to him then were the same when you two had started talking. 

when you guys finally eloped, your past classmates congratulated like you guys had gotten engaged LOL. 

i mean,,, engagement wasnt a no but just not for now. 

until then, you two were happy being together in peace.

Bakugou

Honestly you’d have more luck getting blood from a stone half the time.

One word answers, and sometimes you don’t even get one word.

Every single group chat is muted. He’s tried just leaving them but he gets put back in repeatedly.

If you message Bakugou to meet you somewhere or to hang out at a certain time, he’ll often leave you on read.

This actually means that he’s going to be there at that time, and thinks you should just know that. He’ll only reply if he can’t make it or to change the time.

But even then it’s just “7.” Or “no.” Short, curt answers.

If you get annoyed at him for not confirming that he’ll be there or won’t be there, send him another text. And another, until you get a response.

Finally he’ll text back a “K.” Or “fine, dumbass.”

Constantly puts a “.” After Every. Single. Message.

Makes it seem like he’s angry or annoyed at you, but it’s just his way of showing you he’s finished talking.

Definitely gonna use excuses as to why he didn’t text back though. Usually “my phones fucked up, I’m not receiving messages.” Liar~

Only way to get him to send you longer texts is to try and get him to sext with you.

If you send him selfies however, he’s a completely different texter.

His answers are still often short and concise, but they’re enough to make butterflies erupt in your chest.

“Mine.” “Beautiful.” “Perfect.” Or an uncharacteristic “😍” all send your heart into palpitations.

Compliments are often followed by “don’t fucking post that anywhere. It should be for my eyes only.” Of course he isn’t upset if you do post it online, but people better realize you’re his.

Ignore his texts however and he gets annoyed. Sends “Oi.” Repeatedly. You come back to at least ten messages with Bakugou getting frustrated at you, Oi, where are you? Are you ignoring me? What are you doing? Y/N?

Says he’s not clingy but he secretly is.

When you saw that your contact had a cute emoji beside it you could’ve cried from joy, but don’t tease him about it cause he’ll get rid of it.

Send him memes and you’ll get “lol” in response.

Always remembers to send you a “Morning.” Text every morning without fail.

Send him candid photos you’ve managed to take of him and he gets so annoyed. “WHEN DID YOU TAKE THAT.”

Doesn’t use text speak. Thinks it’s just as quick to type properly.

Rarely gives you short, curt responses. Normally he’ll try to keep up conversation with you because he knows how much you enjoy it.

Never uses ‘lol’ or ‘lmao’ because he doesn’t get why people use it when they’re not laughing out loud?

Todoroki is SO sarcastic over text. High-key sassy af.

If you wanted to confirm a date with him or what time you’re meeting up, he’ll often send you a response like “no, I’m actually seeing my father. Of course I’m seeing you😒”

Usually Todoroki prefers to have important or serious conversations face to face, so when you text each other the conversations are normally flirty or fun. Usually trying to make each other smile than anything too serious.

Send him funny memes and he’ll send them back. Often conversations can go on for a while just by sending gifs or memes to each other. No other words needed.

If you’re feeling self-deprecating or sad he often sends you memes to cheer you up.

Todoroki loves when you send him photos that you’re going to post on social media to him before you post them. Makes him feel special and he’ll usually give real heartfelt compliments.

Hi love, I’m thrilled to have this as one of my first requests! I’ve actually thought about it a lot.

Sorry about the lack of guidelines. I’m still navigating through what I’m comfortable writing and not, so that’s why I haven’t set up any rules yet.

Getting high with the main three(aged up).

pairing: izuku x reader, todoroki x reader, bakugou x reader

genre: kind of fluffy, just personal head cannons

Izuku: I imagine it’d take a lot of courage from his part to even try. He’s an avid overthinker and would probably expect the worst, maybe even fear having a seizure or something. The first time he smokes with you he’s surprised by all of the sensations; the smell, the burning in the back of his throat, his dry mouth, that heaviness spreading through his whole body, everything is pretty new. I think he’d be quite paranoid at first (sorry I know it’s annoying, but think about who we’re dealing with here), but you ease him into it and he realises it’s not that bad. Like, at all. His over analyzing mind finally gets a little break and he learns to fully relax. I think he’d be a delight to smoke with. He’d be very chill and definitely in the mood to watch obscure documentaries with you and order take out. I also think he’d be really funny, like on the verge of sassy, as he no longer has that mental block filtering everything he says. He’d be so much fun.

Todoroki: Okay, guys. This man is sexy as hell when he's high. Like, after he’d gotten over the initial stages of getting used to it all, I imagine him to be quite confident and laid-back. Just picture you both in his beautiful dorm room, he probably has a small electric fountain of some sorts which he plugs in to get the feng shui going, and while that particular detail may not be sexy, your intoxicated selves enjoy it a lot. He’d take a big drag and do a french inhale just because but really it’s to impress you. His eyes would be hooded in a really sultry way and his entire body language would be more relaxed. Slow movements, long conversations, no worries and sensual kisses, if you get that far with him. As much as I think he’d be an absolute tease without even knowing it, I also imagine him to be quite ditzy at times. Definitely the type to ask why are babies in the womb for nine months but aren’t nine months old when they’re born? Or wonder where his phone went, when it’s literally in his back pocket. He is very sexy, but still oh-so clueless.

Bakugou: I like the idea of smoking with him because out of the three, I think his demeanor would change the most. His strong shoulders would visibly loosen up, his eyes would soften slightly, and he wouldn’t raise his voice every other sentence. That said, he’s probably also the one most opposed to the idea. The man treats his body like a temple and the thought of smoking anything puts him off. He’d do it though, but I think he prefers edibles. Speaking of edible things! Bakugou gets the munchies and he gets them bad. Good thing he’s talented in the kitchen. After you both make something to eat, he’d bring you up to his room and show you some music he found recently. Listening to music while stoned is an experience, and even though he’s more relaxed than usual, he will not hesitate to yell at anyone trying to come for him about the volume being too loud. He wants to feel every note and crescendo, and he wants to know what you think of it. He might even ask about your taste in music. If you decide to tell him, prepare yourself for the possibility of getting dragged to filth by this unfiltered gremlin. But idiotic banter aside, getting high with Bakugou is a really fun and laid back experience. It’s a great way to get to know the guy, as a blunt softens him up, especially around you.

BnHA Chapter 266: Sad Naruto Flute Music

Previously on BnHA: Tamaki ate a horse; Dark Shadow punched Re-Destro through a wall; Gigantomachia didn’t want to wake up from his nap; Tokoyami climbed inside of Fatgum’s stomach like a little emo joey and mused about Hawks; Hawks was all “am I evil or no? history shall decide!” and sort of kind of maybe tried to kill Twice; and then Dabi showed up and set the two of them on fire before you could say “stop, drop, and roll.” All of this was a real chapter that really happened. Anyway but then Hawks saved Twice by pulling him out of the fire, which I totally didn’t notice during my first readthrough last week, so that’s nice. But then Dabi stepped on Hawks’s face and used his quirk again. So that was not so nice. We’re really having ourselves an arc, here.

Today on BnHA: Well you know the old saying. Save a man from burning and you feed him for a day, stab him while he’s running away and you feed him for life. Oh, the chapter? Right. Well Hawks is perfectly fine aside from getting a sexy scar for his troubles, which I’ll have you know I did predict. Twice however is not so fine, which, fun fact, I did not predict. If you’re just joining us. Yeah. I boofed it. Anyway so Hawks escapes Dabi using the power of mysterious main character logic, and then he stabs Twice, and Twice dies, very slowly and sadly and in Toga’s arms. That’s it that’s the chapter. You’ll love it. It’s full of feels. And death. Lol I’m in a mood right now I’m sorry guys. I’m gonna go write some healing Bakugou essays.

so as mentioned on the “previously” section above, Hawks saved Twice’s life! meanwhile Dabi apparently arrived in time to listen to Hawks’s “here I go... time to kill you... really gonna do it... here it comes...” speech for at least several seconds before he finally decided to make his grand entrance, as evidenced by him quoting Hawks’s “sentiment” line right back in his face before setting him on fire. so basically Hawks is still okay and villains gonna villain. this is my conclusion and 4 out of 5 dentists approve but you can form your own judgements as well and that’s fine!

anyway so before we begin, full disclosure, I was warned this chapter would make me cry. so that ominous pronouncement is gonna be weighing on my mind while we embark upon our weekly manga journey today, but alas such is life! at least life in March 2020. did we really expect any good news at this point. “Whatcha snacking on Shouto?” you asked as you peered over your boyfriend’s shoulder. “Some rice crackers, you want some… honeybunch?” “Sure” you accepted and plopped onto the sofa beside him.

“Wait… what?!” you asked with an incredulous look on your face. “What did you just call me?”

“Umm perhaps you prefer monkey muffins?” Todoroki inquired. 

“ I - uh that what - no huhh?” you swear you were being pranked but looking at Todoroki’s face - you could tell he wasn’t joking.

The two of you sat in silence for a minute. 

“So uhh Shouto, earlier today… what was that about?” you started. 

“What do you mean?” he asked. 

“The whole… pet name thing. The .. *ahem* ‘babette’ or ‘monkey muffins.’”  

“Oh, were you not happy with that?” 

“I uhm - I was just wondering where it came from and ...why?” 

Todoroki shuffled around his pockets and pulled out his phone. “I know that we are a relatively new couple and I can be pretty inexperienced with affection. That’s why I searched the internet for some advice. This one website gave me various names that ‘would absolutely be a hit with your significant other”. Todoroki stated as he showed you his phone. 

And sure enough the webpage stated 390+ cute and romantic nicknames for your boo. You looked at the phone dumbfoundedly and broke into a fit of laughter. 

“Shouto” you cackled “You took advice from a guy who calls himself Superior Beastbro babemagnet?” 

“Perhaps I should've gone with the names Bakugou suggested and call you -” “NOPE” you interjected “Absolutely never take advice from blast brain” you scolded as you took Todoroki’s hands into yours. “Nonetheless, Shouto I hope you know -while the mere act of you googling how to be a good boyfriend is absolutely charming, you’re already amazing and you don’t need to do anything that’s uncomfortable for you. Just be yourself - that’s why I love being with you. So just refer to me the way you think is best.” 

Todoroki gave you a loving look and smiled “Then I suppose Bakugou’s nickname for you is best fitting and - “STOP THATTT” you screeched. “ANYTHING BUT THAATT” 

Todoroki chuckled and kissed your forehead “thank you y/n, and this is why I love being with you too”

Do you have any crack headcanons? Just silly stuff that you're 100% on?

It is 2:00; I should be in bed but here I am making crack canons because this was too good to wait until the morning. I hope you don’t mind but I did add in some of my OCs too. Buckle up Kiddos because here we go. Also some of these are funny some of these are just general headcanons that I have!! 

They all have tiktoks. Nothing you can say or do will change my mind of the fact. A lot of them just have it to follow Kaminari and Mina on their quest to perform literally every dance trend known to man. 

They’ve become tiktok famous because of it. They also tend to do them in their hero costumes too sometimes and get the others to join them.

They high key have done the “if i back it up is it fast enough” with Bakugou in the distance looking like he’s regretting every life choice he’s ever made. it’s their most popular video. 

They’ve also made a series of things Bakugou yells at and it’s everything. 

Satou, Sero and Ruby all know how to knit and it’s adorable. Sometimes they’ll have Shouji sit with them so he can hold the yarn for them while they talk. Every person in the class has at least one creation from them like a scarf, hat or cardigan.

Bakugou constantly cooks for the dorm since none of these other assholes knows how too. Although they’re slowly learning. 

Ruby and Satou stress bake. Like a lot. During finals week one time; they stayed up until five in the morning baking bread. They had so much that they gave it to shelters around town.

Midoriya can and will come to your door at 5 in the morning with a very interesting theory about your quirk. The last time he did this to Uraraka she floated him to the ceiling in the common room and didn’t let him down until everyone else woke up. 

He also has a notebook on every body’s quirk and what they could do to improve it. He also likes to show them to the others and they find it really helpful. 

They have videos of Iida saying “I am speed” and then bolting into a wall on accident. It went viral. 

Todoroki is actually very sassy and a lot of people didn’t realize that until they moved in with him and he sassed Bakugou in front of everyone. 

Kaminari, Sero and Mina are the meme lords. Like any meme that you want they have it. Even the super fucking obscure ones that you can’t find anywhere else. They do at some point find out Todoroki is one too and it’s amazing.

The girls constantly have girls’ nights in one of their rooms and it usually alternates but usually ends up in Ruby’s room because it’s so calming and also she has a cat. The only boys allowed usually are Aoyama and Bakugou. Because Aoyama does winged eyeliner that could cut a bitch and Bakugou can actually style hair really well. (thanks to @saisai-chan; they came up with that amazing stylist bakugou headcanon a while ago! Go check them out!)

Aoyama is probably one of the most emotionally perceptive people in the class right next to Kaminari. So he’s usually the first to pick up on if someone isn’t ok and the same goes for Kaminari. 

They’re actually the people the rest of the class goes to when they’re having problems. Wether it be because of school, homesickness or love lives they give really good and sound advice. 

Aoyama is literally protector of all the girls in class 1-A; he grew up as the oldest brother to three younger sisters and that protective instinct never went away. He will literally punt Mineta (and he has) into next week. Kaminari has also adopted this attitude too. 

Tokoyami is also another one but he does it more subtly. He’s the big brother that’s there to help hide the body of whoever hurt them.

Sorry most of these are WIPs, but I just went through my bookmarks and picked out some of my favorites. 

Entropy*

Maybe it was All Might's betrayal that finally broke him. Maybe it was the torment from his friends, day in and day out, or the crushing weight of society's collective dismissal of his existence. The reason isn't important anymore- only the consequences. Two years after he and three other students vanished from U.A., Midoriya Izuku is the leader of the fastest-growing group of villains in Japan, and no one is left to stand in his way- no one aside from All Might's successor, the next Symbol of Peace.

All orderly systems descend into chaos. No one is immune to entropy, heroes least of all.

One of my favorite villain fics, basically Izuku becoming worse than the league of villains ever was. 

Four Makes One Team*

“Kacchan,” Izuku said, getting the attention of the boy beside him. “What if I don’t want to be a hero?”

Izuku spoke as if he was setting the world on fire. As if he’d broken time in half and let the fabric of the universe collapse like a folding chair.

Katsuki twitched. “Then what else do you want to be?” There was a tinge of anger in Katsuki’s words, the hint of a shout tipping each consonant.

“Well,” Izuku scratched his neck, eyes locked on the stars attached to the ceiling that shown an odd neon yellow in the afternoon light. “Well, what if I wanted to help heroes or something instead.”

(Where Izuku decides he wants to be hero support, learns computer code, and digs way to deep into a villain case all for the sake of teamwork.)

Basically, Izuku and Katsuki meet some other canon characters as kids and basically become genius vigilantes.

Finding Abandoned Hope*

Nothing in life was fair. Some people just had more luck than others. Midoriya Izuku was not one of those people. He learned that the hard way.

Not everyone gets good quirks. Not every quirk is accepted by people. This was a cruel and unforgiving world and Shinso Hitoshi knew that quite well.

Together, maybe they can have the life they both want.

Runaways, Vigilantes, Dadzawa. What else could you ask for?

Ripples on Deep Water*

Midoriya Izuku didn’t expect much from life. He knew it expected everything of him, and he was always trying to rise up and meet that challenge.Except for one little mutation in his genes that made all the difference.Except for one little change in the route home after a pretty depressing day.Or:When All Might crushes Izuku’s dreams, he crosses the path of someone who rebuilds them. Izuku’s going to be a hero... even if it won’t be exactly as planned.Or:How the tiniest wingbeat of a butterfly over the still ocean brings tsunamis to distant lands.

Izuku meets Mei at the right moment and basically keeps his dream alive. Support!Deku with an eye toward the hero course. 

Black Rabbit*

For most people, waking up in the secret base of one of Japan's most wanted vigilantes would probably be terrifying. For Shouto Todoroki it ends up being first stroke of luck he's ever had. Black Rabbit is nothing like the rumors and ends up being his first real friend. For once in his life Todoroki feels like someone actually cares about and supports him, Black rabbit going as far as to get him a new identity so he wouldn't have to go back to Endeavor. It also helps that, on top of being the embodiment of sunshine personality wise, under the mask Black Rabbit is the gosh darn cutest boy Todoroki has ever laid eyes on.

Izuku Midoriya is the vigilante known as Black Rabbit. Pros all over Japan have tried to catch him but all have failed. Nothing is known about him and he's been doing this for years, living in his secret base alone. He never had a friend until he rescued Todoroki. It's a relief and a blessing to finally have someone who knows him out of the mask and likes him as a person. There's a personal connection and closeness between them that he's never had before and he'll follow it as far as it takes him.

Now if they can only keep their respective identities a secret while attending UA

Vigilante!Deku with a healthy helping of Dadzawa and some sweet TodoDeku on the side. 

Who said the only thing green about him is his hair?*

All Might isn't able to get away from the reporters after saving Bakugou and Midoriya during the sludge incident.

Midoriya Izuku, without motivation, Bakugou's words of suicide ringing through his head. He makes a decision, something that wouldn't ruin Bakuguou's chances of becoming a hero, something where he could get away from everything that was hurting.

Izuku decides to run away. Impulsive and hasty, desperate and in shock, he decides that running away and surviving would hurt less than any other option when reality hits him full force.

Runaway!Deku, enough said.

Swan Dive*

The Slime Villain Incident, and the events leading up to it happen one year earlier. Izuku, broken and lost in the face of All Might's words, decides to take Kacchan's advice. But a familiar Underground Hero won't let a young life end so quickly. How will a simple right-place-right time scenario change things?

OR:

Aizawa Shouta saves the life of Midoriya Izuku and finds himself with a new apprentice and surrounded by a quickly growing family circle. What has he gotten himself into? Heavy Dadzawa and Dadmic. Auntie Nemuri and eventual redeemed Bakugo.

The sweetness! The trauma! This fic will definitely punch you in the heart in more ways than one. 

I’m Here*

What if All Might never dropped that bottle...? There was never a chance to prove himself. Midoriya never became a hero. Take a dive off the roof of the building, that's what Bakugo wanted, right? But a stranger stops him and gives him a new dream for the future. A boy's descent into madness and obsession but not without finding a family amongst a number of misfits. To kill some major league heroes. It's all they want to do and change society. What's the cost?

Insane!Villain!Deku. Literal chills, seriously. It definatly gets dark, so be ready for that. Also the league of villains as family and obsessive TodoDeku. 

I’m Doing This For Them*

Izuku always wanted to be a hero, but without a quirk almost everyone he met said that was impossible, but Izuku's stubborn and he never took no for an answer. So he decides to take his dream into his own hands and do the impossible. Even if he can't legally become a hero what's to stop him from doing it illegally?

A lie-detecting detective, a purple-haired kid, and an insomniac pro hero, that's who.

Or

Izuku decides to try his luck at becoming a vigilante and subsequently annoys the shit out of everyone he meets.

Sassy Viligante!Deku, EraserMic with Shinso, basically so much family!

The Yakuza isn’t that bad*

After Izuku was told by his idol that he can't be a hero without a quirk, he realized something. This world, where the quirked do whatever they want, and the quirkless are treated as less than human, is flawed. And what better way to repair a flawed world than returning it to when it wasn't?

Do you want Mafia!Deku? Very unique fic about Izuku taking over Overhaul’s operation (don’t worry about Eri, she’ll be fine) and pursuing a quirkless world.

Independence*

All Might is the number one hero, and has a beautiful wife, they are a beautiful, loving family. What no one knows is they have a quirkless son. When telling he him he can’t be a hero, Midoriya Izuku takes fate into his own hands, and tries to warn his parents he isn’t going to listen is the silliest of ways. He is still planning to be the best hero, even if he has to tear apart the society norms around him.

Bad bio-dadmight. Izuku is basically running on sheer spite at this point and it’s working. 

Nii-Chan! Nii-Chan!*

Aizawa Shouta is a teen who lives by the rules of logic and rationality, in his second year of Yuuei. When his parents kick him out when discovering he has a boyfriend, he finds himself alone on the street.

Midoriya Inko lives in a small flat with her young and only son after her ex-husband ran learning she was pregnant. With Mother and Son sharing a huge heart with un-measurable amounts of love, they find and help Aizawa.

With a new Mom and a little Brother, Aizawa finally has a family to be proud of.

How much found family can we incorporate into one story? The answer is a lot more than you’d think. Basically once Izuku adopts someone, they are family. Lots of fluff. 

Erased Potential*

Midoriya Izuku, determined to become a hero before ever meeting All Might, looks for another way. He might not have a quirk, but that can’t be all that being a hero is about. He has the intelligence, the drive, the determination. All he needs now is to know how to use it. Enter Aizawa Shouta.

Pretty much my favorite Dadzawa fic. 

Net Neutrality (series)

I feel like this should be included even if each fic isn’t over 50,000 words. Info Broker!Deku and Vigilante!Deku with Eri getting the love she deserves. This inspired some parts of Mastermind, actually. 

One-Choice: Vigilante*

Time is a funny thing, the way even a single choice can change the world forever. Every single choice can turn the course of fate in unexpected directions.

Midoriya Izuku always wanted to be a hero. Ever since he was a child, he wanted to be someone who saves other with a fearless smile. But when his world comes crashing down around him, when even the tiniest spark of hope is crashed, what would he do?

This entire series is really good. It’s basically another take on what I’m doing with my For the Want of a Nail series.

He was starting to shake a little, adrenaline flooding his veins and leaving him cold. He had no idea what Purple was going for with his blunt statements and the hand reaching toward his shoulder as if to steady him, but apologizing was generally safe."You don't have to apologize, dude. I don't know your name, but I doubt it's actually Deku.""Um. Midoriya." Izuku peered sideways at Purple as they rounded the corner. "Izuku Midoriya. Deku is just, um, just what my... friends call me." He winced."Sounds real friendly."

Izuku and Shinso are best friends with a lot of Dadzawa and Dadmic.

Pied Piper*

If they wouldn’t give him a chance then the solution seemed simple, he’d give himself one. He’d force the world to see him, force them to recognize his hard work. He wasn’t missing a quirk, it was simply that everyone else had been given an advantage. He wasn’t broken, or useless, or incapable, and he’d prove it by outrunning all of them, he who was quirkless, he who had started in last.

One of my favorite Vigilante!Deku fics, hands down. Izuku is an absolute mad lad in this.

Izuku had never really contemplated being a detective, but his whole life he'd only ever wanted to help people with a smile on his face. Thanks to some luck and an entire police station, Izuku's dream is reborn.

Izuku joins the police force and basically proves that he’s as amazing as we all know he is. 

There is No Such Thing as Competely Forgiven

Deku doesn't become a hero, though he might be considered one to people that have been rejected by society. He can be petty, twisted, and is loyal to a fault. That hardly makes him evil. No, he just knows the worlds got to change and he can't do that from a side that praises people like Bakagou Katsuki and All Might. He also would love nothing better than to get even with a few people that ruined his life...

Katsuki knows that he is the reason that Deku is dead. He just can hope one day he can forgive himself and that others can as well for the role he played in it. He needs to make the world a better place, one that Izuku would have wanted. He needs to be a hero that does more than punch villains in the face. But its really hard to be a needed change when he can't trust most of his own decisions are the right ones.

One of my favorite villian!Deku fics of all time, mostly because of the found family stuff it’s got going on with the league. It’s also got a sequel if you want more. 

A Deadman’s Gun

“I—“ Izuku hesitated, gaping wordlessly, before admitting softly. “I don’t know. I just don’t want to go home. There’s nothing for me, there.”

“So you filled this hole by playing detective— And how long is that going to last, I wonder?” Stain replied, still massaging his chin. “But you— You have potential.”

Izuku blinked at Stain’s chest, before looking up. “Excuse me?”

“What a waste would it be, to let you become a red splatter on the sidewalk.” Stain continued, almost contemplating. “No. No, kid, what you need is a new purpose. Your old one is gone? Well, time to get off your ass and find something else—“

Ok, there need to be more parental Stain fics in this fandom, because this is absolutely amazing!
