With the majority of the clients these levels were still considered within normal array as well as not a high or even mild cardiovascular threat. Ostarine is one of the most prominent SARM on the planet, although it is non-steroidal it is carefully related to anabolic/androgenic in its task. As it effectively promotes most significantly the Androgen Receptor in skeletal muscle and also bone.

" I had only altered two items in my training before that test. I changed by BCAA amino acids, which I purchased from a store in Loughborough. I likewise got a healthy protein pancake mix, which I carry an extremely rare occasion as a morning meal choice. Wallhead is a UFC boxer, so is controlled by USADA, despite being based in the UK ... Regrettably, none of this helps Jimmy Wallhead, who was blindsided via use a supplement that really did not list ostarine as a component on the tag. Wallhead has actually been signed to the UFC, which is not a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code, for regarding 18 months. USADA consented to run the UFC's anti-doping program on 1 July 2015, an arrangement that was applauded by WADA. Young men as well as ladies are being lured into making use of a new "secure" muscle-building medication regardless of clinical fears over possibly deadly side-effects. A supplement belonging to the SARM group with a strong anabolic result and a limited danger of adverse effects. Lauren Barnett approved a six-month sanction, after the Globe Triathlon Firm accepted that her ostarine AAF resulted from a polluted salt tablet computer. Beth McKenzie approved a two-year sanction, as although the WTC concurred that her intake of ostarine was unintentional, she could not definitively verify that her ostarine AAF was because of infected salt tablet computers. A fast search on the UFC/USADA net site exposes supports Wallhead's claim that the UFC has actually managed six ostarine situations throughout the last year and also 8 in total amount. A search on the USADA website exposes 16 ostarine ADRVs in the previous year alone-- none of which include UFC competitors. " They did offer me a nine month ban as well as I obtain it, I understand it", he stated.

A dramatically greater intramuscular fat content of the quadriceps femoris muscle mass was observed in the OVX+LG 4 team compared to the Non-OVX group. In OVX rats, the fat material of the muscle mass did not differ from that in the other groups. All four OVX groups revealed a considerably higher GM weight than in the Non-OVX group. Treatment with a high dosage of LG resulted in a considerably greater GM weight than in the OVX and also OVX+LG 0.04 groups.

The treatments with OS led to a considerably greater weight of the GM than in the Non-OVX, irrespective of does applied. The BW of the rats throughout all therapy groups was similar at the beginning of the research (244 ± 7.8 g). Ovariectomy led to a significant enhancement of BW in all 4 OVX teams compared to the Non-OVX group from week 2 message ovariectomy. OS and LG are still being investigated in medical trials, and also neither have actually been accepted as therapies to this factor.

UKAD provided no aid to Webster, despite the fact that its very own expert suggested that contamination may have been an issue. https://peptides-uk.com/bpc157/spain/ was required to spend his life savings in trying to uncover the resource of the ostarine, as well as was approved with the full four year restriction for not right away admitting an ADRV he said was not his fault. USADA provided to examine the items made use of by Wallhead, in spite of him being based overseas in the UK, and even sourced its own supplement tub to confirm his insurance claims. It manages the glycolysis as well as is consequently important for the cell metabolic rate of all neighboring cells under anaerobic conditions. Complicated I is the initial enzyme in the breathing chain in the mitochondrial membrane and essential for the typical cell performance. https://peptides-uk.com/bpc157/italy/ revealed that the intermediate dose of LG led to a higher task of CS than in the OVX team in the GM and also a higher activity of LDH than in the Non-OVX as well as OVX+LG 4 in the LM. OS had less result on muscle mass enzyme task, showing a higher CS task in OVX+OS 4 team than in the OVX group in the LM. Whereas, an elevated CS task is a pen for a boosted cardiovascular ability, a boosted task of both enzymes, LDH and CS, appears to be needed for a rapid muscle healing. Elevation of these enzyme activities complying with administration of SARMs could indicate an improved muscle mass feature. Additionally, the present research revealed that product CK as an indication of muscle mass damage was not impacted by either OS or LG.
These experiments allow Crick scientists to examine carefully just how healthy proteins engage with each various other.
All items noted "keep cool and completely dry" ought to be stored icy, preferably at -20 ° C. The majority of peptides, when stored listed below -10 ° C, will continue to be steady for several years.
This provides insight into exactly how little particle medications which connect with repair work healthy proteins can be used to deal with condition such as cancer.
If the peptide has lots of acidic amino acids, make use of an aqueous ammonia (1 to 10 %) service, or an unstable standard buffer such as N-ethylmorpholine acetate or bicarbonate, with or without sonication.
As an example, scientists make use of peptides to work out which healthy proteins repair damaged DNA.
Activotec gives a total variety of peptide synthesizers as well as services for peptide as well as healthy protein synthesis.
I used another supplier for caps formerly but this fluid item is without a doubt premium IMHO. Every one of our items are manufactured under excellent production methods in an ISO 7 medical-grade laboratory. Andarine S-4 was created to minimising muscular tissue wasting, promote stamina, as well as gain lean muscle. Ostarine was developed as a treatment for muscle mass squandering syndromes by boosting toughness and also promoting muscle development. Cardarine was developed to improve endurance, as well as boost weight loss. Ligandrol was established to raising lean muscular tissue, improve stamina, as well as protect against muscle waste. Get in touch today for more details concerning SARMs body building supplements and also we will certainly enjoy to aid with any kind of concerns you might have for us.
There are no researches reporting in vivo results of OS as well as LG on postmenopausal muscle framework as well as metabolism. The aim of the here and now research was to check out the impact of OS and LG on the muscle cells of ovariectomized rats as the conventional design for postmenopausal conditions. The OS effect on bone tissue and animal design as a component of Experiment I has been recently released. Hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal females is connected with extreme adverse effects, such as an enhanced threat of coronary heart problem, breast cancer, stroke, as well as venous thromboembolism. Nonetheless, it is still one of the most reliable treatment for postmenopausal signs and symptoms and for meticulously chosen ladies, benefits could exceed dangers. Careful estrogen receptor modulators have beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal system like estrogen, they have fewer unfavorable events on busts and also the womb. Nonetheless, they are still associated with venous thromboembolism and also stroke.

“L is For Luna” (Part 1): A Saluna Fanfic
A/N: ok, so I got this idea for an episode for The Loud House a few nights ago when I couldn’t fall asleep from drinking too much Dr. Pepper (I’m very sensitive to sugar) and thought it would make an excellent Saluna short story. I had so much energy that I wrote the whole entire thing out in my head but that was a few nights ago and I don’t remember the exact dialogue so this is slightly altered from the original (and probably better since I had more time to think it out), but the concept remains the same. I hope that you guys enjoy my first TLH fanfic!
...
Title: L is For Luna
Summary: When Luna finds a love letter in her locker, she hopes that it is her crush Sam, but is doubtful. With the help of her ten siblings, Luna will find out whether her dreams of being with Sam will ever be a reality or not.
Part: 1
Author: L-is-For-Loud-House
Fandom: The Loud House
Ship: Saluna (Luna Loud and Sam Sharp)
Timeline: A few months after “L is For Love”
Genre: Fanfiction/Romance
Word Count: 1,425
...
“Ugh, it’s just another manic Monday,” 15 year old Luna Loud sighed as she walked to her locker.
Her morning so far had been disastrous. She had almost been late to school because her family van, Vanzilla, had broke down on the side of the road. This was a common thing for the Loud family since the vehicle is older than their own father. Luckily, Luna’s little 6 year old sister, Lana, who is highly educated in mechanics, was able to repair the alternator, which had been completely fried.
“What an awful way to start off the day and the school week!” She stated as she had finally reached her locker, “What good can this day possibly be?”
Luna soon realized that she had spoke too soon. As soon as the rocker had opened up her locker, a white envelope fluttered out and danced its way down to the floor. Luna noticed that the words “L. Loud” had been written on it with red marker and were surrounded by a bunch of hearts.
“Whoa, a love letter!” Luna exclaimed as she bent down to pick the letter up. “Rockin’!”
Luna excitedly opened up the envelope and took the letter out to see that it read:
“Dear L. Loud,
You will always be able to stand out to me even in the largest crowd. You have always been able to catch my eye due the fact that you have never been afraid to be your unique self. Sorry for the wait, but I realized that if I never told the girl that I have a crush on how rad I think she is, I would never be able to live with myself.
From,
Your Secret Admirer”
“Secret Admirer?” Luna questioned. “Bogus! Now I gotta spend who knows how long figuring out who wrote this lovely letter!”
Luna started to gather the books that she needed for her first few classes when she had made a realization. “Well, maybe I shouldn’t have said that because getting frustrated over the fact that my admirer chose to remain anonymous would make me nothing but a hypocrite.”
Luna then thought back to when she had first started to write love letters to her crush and good friend, Samantha Sharp. She had been crushing on the girl ever since she had moved to Royal Woods when they were both in 8th grade. Luna had been meaning to confess her feelings for awhile but never had the guts to do it. However, one day a few months ago, Luna’s 11 year old brother, Lincoln, found a love letter in their mailbox that had been addressed to “L. Loud”. Luna and her ten siblings were all excited and since they are all “L. Loud”, they were all curious to find out who the letter was for. Luna’s 8 year old sister, Lucy, had the excellent idea for everyone to give their crushes tokens of affection so that more letters would be sent so that the Loud siblings could narrow down who it was for. Luckily, Lucy’s idea worked as the family received more letters. Eventually, the Loud siblings had narrowed down that all of the letters were meant for Luna due to the fact that the secret admirer spoke of someone who had brown hair, who loves all things British, and who loves music. Luna was confused with how the letter could be meant for her since she never sent any tokens or signals to Sam because she was afraid that she would react negatively if she was not into girls or if she did not feel the same way. Yet, the letter described Luna perfectly so she decided to go to Bangers and Mash, where her secret admirer told her to meet up for a date.
Upon initially not being able to find Sam but her own parents instead, Luna and her ten siblings soon learned that all of the love letters were actually from their own mother and that they were for their own father. Luna was a bit bummed out that she was not going on a date with Sam, but her mother’s story of being too nervous to talk to the man of her dreams but eventually winning him over with her love letters totally inspired her. It was that in that moment, Luna realized that she needs to stop waiting around for Sam and that she needs to stop being a chicken and finally talk to her about her feelings. So of course, like her mother, she began to do this through love letters. Luna is too nervous to let Sam know that she is the one who has been sending her love letters so until Sam figures out that it’s her or until Luna feels confident enough to finally sign her name on a letter or tell Sam that it’s her, she will remain anonymous.
“Hey, Lunes, are you ready to rock it today in band?” That voice that Luna always found to sweet and cool asked, interrupting Luna’s daydreaming.
“Oh, hey, dude!” Luna cooly replied as she slung her backpack over her shoulder and slammed her locker shut, “Yep, I’m totally ready, mate! I’m so excited for Ms. B to give us a new piece today! I really wish that we had band first period instead of second period.”
Since Luna and Sam have been classmates and good friends since 8th grade, Luna has mastered the skill of remaining cool around her crush. However, every once in awhile, her cool does slip from her when she’s around Sam.
“Yeah, it’s totally bogus that I have to sit through a whole period of chemistry before band!” Sam complained.
“Yeah and you have Mr. Carter too, don’t ya?” Luna asked.
Sam nodded.
“Man, that really bites.”
“Yeah, he’s totally insane! I swear he can’t even teach! All he ever does is goes on rants about the most bizarre things and expects us to ace every test despite of that! Dude, you have no idea how lucky you are to have Dr. William and not Mr. Carter for chem!”
“Man, that’s rough. And yeah, Dr. William is a really cool dude. I wish that you were in my class.”
“Me too, dude.”
Then all of the sudden, the bell rang. Sam and Luna started to make their way towards their first period classes. Luna has Algebra 2 first period and lucky for her, that’s on the way to Sam’s chemistry class, allowing for the two to walk to class together.
“But anyways, you looked totally spaced out when I walked up to you,” Sam pointed out. “What were you thinking about?”
“Should I tell her about the letter?” Luna thought to herself. “I really want for her to be my secret admirer so if she’s not, I’m going to be really bummed.”
“I-I u-umm...” Luna managed to stutter out as the two began to climb up the stairs that lead to the second level where both of their classrooms were.
“I totally understand if you don’t want to share,” Sam told Luna, realizing how uncomfortable her question made her friend.
Suddenly, a sense of confidence came over Luna. “Well, if it was her, if I don’t speak up now, I may never find out.”
“Well, I did find a love letter in my locker today,” Luna finally said as she revealed the envelope and letter that she had folded up in her hand.
They then reached the second floor and Sam suddenly began to twist her blonde hair with her fingers as she and Luna continued to walk to class. It was a cute little habit of hers that always drives Luna wild. “Wow, that’s awesome, Luna! Do you have any idea who it’s from?”
“No unfortunately. Whoever wrote the letter signed it as “Your Secret Admirer”. I just found it a few minutes ago so I haven’t had the time to try and figure out who it’s from.”
“Man, that’s sure is a bummer!”
“Yeah, I know right? Well, I mean the last time someone told me that they liked me was all the way back in 4th grade so it’s still really rad that someone’s even crushin’ on me.”
“Well, anyways, I gotta get to chem unfortunately.”
“Ok, see y-”
Luna had been cut off by the sudden embrace of her crush and good friend. Sam normally was not much of a hugger so it completely surprised her. However, the hug was quick so Luna did not have time to react and hug Sam back.
“You know, I really am excited for you, dudette,” Sam admitted as she let go of Luna and started to walk towards her Chemistry class. “See ya in band, Lunes!”
“O-ok, s-see y-ya l-later!” Luna managed to reply as she stood there, confused for a few seconds.

Assignments, final projects, try-outs, mock weeks, finals, college applications, these are what senior year is made of. Naturally, it’s the period of time when you most feel the urge to jump off a cliff. From the first week of school, I could already see the differences senior year brought to my school mates. People were starting to realize that they had to receive great marks, they had to get accepted into good colleges, they had to do this and that as ways to an accomplished future.
Over the years of being a high school student, every time there was a free period, or just any studying-free moment at school, we would watch movies, gossip, or simply be on our phones for hours. Now in every free periods, my classmates would take out these heavy-ass books that can be used comfortably as pillows and actually study. Or re-write their notes. Or revise a subject for next week’s quiz. Anything to keep them working (just curious, do these symptoms apply to all senior year students around the world?).
Since junior year were pretty traumatizing for me (thanks to student government), I had been planning all holiday to give my 110% for senior year. Long story short, I hit it off since day 1 and came out alive six months later. Although it resulted in me spending 3 days sleeping in after end-of-term exams were over, I’m really happy for having been very productive this entire term. I know there’s still 6 months left and the worst parts are yet to come, so I decided to share a few tips exclusively coming from someone *glares at myself* who did remarkably awful the previous year and somehow found a way to crawl back from death
1.       Know Where You’re Going
Getting to the very last year of high school, this is the MOST important part of surviving. Without having your long-term goal, it would be like taking down hundreds of obstacles without having a destination in mind. You don’t know where you’re going, but more monsters keep showing up on your path. Trust me, you’ll eventually get tired and stop trying midway. Losing motivation when you’re in the most vital part of your study can’t be a good thing.
Do research on the degrees you’re interested in taking, from their passing grades to job prospects. Make sure you actually enjoy the subjects needed for those degrees. For example, if you can’t stand Biology, better if you don’t consider attending medical school, and the same goes to other subjects as well.
2.       Maintain Productivity
The amount of school work you’re getting can be overwhelming, that is why you have to do them as soon as possible to prevent them from piling up. You don’t have to finish them all in one day, it’s impossible and careless. At least try to do them bits by bits until the night before due when you can go over what you’ve done and fix a few imperfections or cross-check your answers. Try doing this to multiple assignments instead of focusing on one or two assignments the entire week.
I usually bring unfinished assignments to school so I can get to work when I have free time, usually before after-school extras, or while waiting for an extra course. This way instead of going on Tumblr for hours, I’ll be figuring out math problems and (hopefully) have the homework done by ½ when the course starts.
3.       Gather Motivation
Take a look at that magnificent building, I will build tens of those once I become an architect. Have you seen the latest VSxBalmain collection? I’ll someday be working alongside Olivier Rousting .
It’s very important to keep being productive and use every free time wisely. While you’re at it, make sure to keep your motivate-o-meter at high level. Motivation and inspiration can come from anyone, anywhere and it doesn’t even have to come from anything relevant to your life goals. I usually get a boost of motivation after watching a couple videos of my favorite Youtubers (which has no correlation whatsoever to being an engineer), and I recently  got a huge inspo from reading Crazy Rich Asians. It seriously motivated me to work my ass off and be rich.
4.       Don’t Stop ‘til You’re Proud
Catch up on things you don’t fully understand. If you had a problem with certain subjects or materials, find the answers right away, don’t wait until the day before quizzes or mock tests when you will desperately need answers. Ask teachers, your friends, or our most trusty friend the internet. You can also download several applications to help you study, like Khan Academy and other similar apps. Once you put one problem out of sight, it will become easier for you to put more aside . This is what happened to me last year, I had problems understanding Chem but I refused to actually figure them out, thinking I would learn the materials later. 10 laters later, I got a 7 for end-of-semester test while my classmates received 9s and 8s.
So you have studied for this particular test and still got a bad mark. Shit happens honey, tough it up. Even while I’m writing this, I fully understand that the theory of ‘picking-yourself-up’ is much easier said than done. Give yourself some time to breathe, and start with “okay, where did I go wrong?”. Figure out the errors to make sure you’re not doing them the second time. Consider it this way: the subject has betrayed you and you’re getting a revenge. I planted this idea the very first day of senior year, the thought has driven me to never quit trying. It’s almost like Elle Woods to Warner, but instead it’s me and Physics.
5.       Get A Rest.
Senior year doesn’t mean you lose all hope of going on shopping sprees, watching the latest movies, or taking care of your Tumblr blog. If anything, I’ve watched more movies with my friends this year than I did previous years, simply because we have little time to relax so we made the most of one when we had the chance to. As long as you keep track on your to-do-list, stay discipline on your schedule, a little catch up on KUWTK won’t hurt.
Don’t push yourself to the point of falling down. Read books, paint, dance, even play games (Mobile Legend is the hype these days it’s getting annoying), anything to keep you sane and motivated. Never let the pressure of GPAs and prestigious colleges take positivity away from you.
6.       Don’t Over-Rest.
Yes, hun, I was just telling you to enjoy your senior year and now I’m telling you to not over-relax your way. Maintain a schedule, make agreements with yourself and stick to it. “At 8pm I will start on Math homework, and the rest is for tomorrow”. “I will work my butts off from 8 to 10 am then I can go on Tumblr”. “I will start on my History papers and take a rest after 2 pages”.
I’m not telling you to work 24/7 because that’s not healthy, I’m ALSO not telling you to spend all your weekend in bed and procrastinate because it would defeat the whole purpose of learning to be productive. Once you let yourself procrastinate, It’ll be easier for you to do it for the second, third, and fourth time.  Sometimes you just need to gather your will, get up and face those text books.
Well, there you go. These are all the things I have been doing to not only survive, but to do well in high school. I have been doing all these tips religiously for the past 6 months, it’s almost impossible not to feel tired or even want to just cut it off. But studying routinely makes me feel in control of what’s happening currently, what’s going to happen next, what I want to be doing in the future. So get up and let’s kick asses together.

Just Ask Her Out
In which MJ is popular and Peter is still a dork.
Inspired by a tweet and I’ve actually had this in my drafts for ages so I thought I’d bulk it up and turn it into a proper imagine lol. Super fluffy with pining!peter bc he really is a cutie
"Did you study for the Spanish quiz today?" Ned asked his best friend as they made their way to the cafeteria. It was a bleak Monday morning, sometime in early January, and Peter was still reeling from his full force encounter with a brick wall and the icy planes of the alleyway street while fighting a perpetrator last night. Even after practically tapping a bag of frozen peas to his side for the most part of last night, the area around his ribs was still throbbing, and he was grateful he could hide the deep purple bruises beneath a baggy sweater. His back screamed out in pain every time he bent over to pick something up and migraine would be an understatement to explain what was going on in his head right now. He had had to sneak out early this morning before May was up, because she’d know instantly he was hurt and he really didn’t want to worry her. By lunch time, he knew most of that would be gone due to the blessing of his quick healing capabilities but until then, he'd simply have to suffer and endure the agony. So just your regular, average Monday then.
“No Ned." Peter snapped exasperatedly. "Sorry I didn’t the time have to go over my notes while I was getting my head smashed into an alleyway floor.”
“Dude chill, I was just asking.” Ned raised his hands in surrender as they sat down. Peter laid his head on the table and groaned loudly, ignoring the loud protests from his muscles as he lent over his side of the bench and closed his eyes.
"Hey Abe." Peter drawled with his shut, his fingers subconsciously rubbing at his temple.
"Morning Peter." Abraham shot Ned a 'is-he-okay' look to which he replied with a 'don't-even-ask' expression and Abe nodded, understanding immediately.
“What’s got him all beat?” A female voice joined the trio as she slid into the seat opposite them.
“He’s down because he knows he’s going to fail the Spanish quiz today.”
“Dude did you not study?” Cindy asked, hitting his arm playfully. The brown eyed boy winced lightly and glared at her.
“Right, Spidey stuff." She said lowly. Out of the whole school, the only people who knew about Peter's alter ego were sat at that table, and they were all sworn to secrecy to keep it that way. "Sorry Pete. If you want we can study for it now?”
Peter raised his head from the table and straightened out his jumper.
“I guess it can’t hurt more than my head does right now.” He shrugged. He looked up and he wished he hadn’t because whenever his eyes met hers, that funny feeling he got in his stomach every time he saw her returned. Just one look at her and Peter felt the pain slowly ebbing away from his muscles. Cindy noticed him staring and studied him quizzically.
“What?” She noticed his gaze wasn’t aimed at her so she turned around and rolled her eyes. “Peter you’re still on that?” Cindy laughed, taking a sip from the Starbucks cup she had set beside her bag earlier.
“He’s been ‘on that’ since 8th grade.” Ned mocked. Peter elbowed him in the rib.
“I’m not on anything. Or anyone.” He grumbled, placing his Spanish textbook in front of him.
“So you ever gonna ask her out? Or you know, talk to her?”
“That’s Michelle Jones, Cin. What do you think?” He looked back down at his textbook and began trying to recite the words he was supposed to have memorised last week.
“Weren’t you guys friends?” Abe asked, reading over his notes too.
“A long time ago.” Peter replied, the pen lid nestling between his lips as he highlighted parts of the textbook. They were once friends, best friends in fact. His aunt and Michelle’s mom had been like sisters since high school so Peter and Michelle had pretty much grown up together ever since Peter had moved in with Uncle Ben and Aunt May just before the first grade. She had been there for him through his parents death (even though she barely knew him at the time and she was only 4 so didn’t really understand what was going on, she was so kind to him), Uncle Ben’s death (she missed three days of school to allow him to cry on her lap and listened and soothed him the best she could, which to Peter, was a lot) and a whole lot of other things. However, when high school came, they’d drifted apart, Michelle being at the center of attention where she belonged and Peter pushed to the back of the crowd. Michelle had tried to stay friends with Peter but with their drastically different social lives, they eventually grew apart. Now they only ever shared nods or the occasional ‘hey’s in the hallway between classes. That did nothing to stop Peter’s ever growing crush on her to cease. The one he’d been harboring between him and Ned for the past 3/4 years and now Cindy and Abraham, as of recent.
“We’re gonna be graduating soon Parker, you’re gonna have to do it sometime.”
“Or never?” He didn’t even bother to look at her until he felt her presence leave the table. As he lifted his head from the book, he watched Cindy walk away from him and right towards Michelle.
“CIN! CINDY!” He whispered/shouted, trying to get her attention. She snapped her fingers behind her back, as if to tell him to shut up, as she walked past Michelle's table of jocks and cheerleaders. She ignored the weird looks they gave her and made a beeline for Michelle, who was ordering a coffee from the lunch lady.
“God, I hope she’s not doing what I think she’s doing.” Peter moaned, placing his head in his hands.
“Well, you better straighten up because Michelle is coming over here right now?”
“Right now!?” Peter almost leapt out of his seat, forgetting all about his injuries. “Oh god, okay. Do I have something in my teeth? Is my shirt okay? This is a horrible colour isn’t it? I should’ve just worn the blue-”
“Dude, breathe.” Ned nodded slowly. “She’s here,” he whispered.
“Hey Peter.” Michelle smiled. Her soft brown eyes crinkled at the corners as her lips stretched into a grin. Her light brown skin shone in the sunlight like gold and her wild black mane was tamed into a high pony tail, exposing her sharp cheekbones. God, she was so beautiful.
“Hey..hey, Mich-” Peter cleared his throat. “Michelle.” He said in a deeper voice.
“Ned, scram.” Cindy hissed, grabbing her stuff and leaving the table. Abe made some sorry excuse about leaving his chem book in the lab and needing to find it before 2nd period while getting up from the bench also.
“Good luck bro.” Ned spoke under his breath. They did their secret handshake under the table before Cindy dragged the small boy away from the couple by his ear. Peter could still hear him protesting and Abe and Cindy laughing as they left the cafeteria.
“Erm, can I sit?” Michelle asked, gesturing to the space where Cindy previously was.
“Yeah, um of course, feel free.”
“Thanks.” She nodded, flattening the creases in her trousers as she took a seat. Peter doesn't think there's been a time when Michelle had worn a skirt, at her own will. He even remembers back to her aunt's wedding when they were nine she'd gone a hunger strike because she wanted to wear a suit to the wedding instead of a dress because she refused to be like every other girl because she was Michelle Jones and she was unique. Eventually, her mom gave in and Michelle walked down the isle with her aunt in a dark blue tuxedo and little nine year old Peter couldn't stop thinking to himself how beautiful she looked. The same thought came to him when she arrived to homecoming, their freshman year, wearing a strapless purple dress for the first time, with ruffles at the skirt and Peter felt so lucky that he'd arrived with her because she was easily the best looking girl in the room. Although, the year after that, she came with Flash instead and Peter was long forgotten on the bleachers, which is when he met Ned and they instantly became best friends. He somewhat filled the Michelle shaped hole in his life and Peter was honestly glad he'd met him. But that was years ago and this was now.
There was an awkward silence at the table during which Peter stared at her as though she was art and Michelle fiddled with the hem of her jumper, looking down at her coffee.
“So-”
“Cind-” They both started at the same time and laughed nervously, realising they’d interrupted each other.
“You go.” Peter nodded.
“It’s been a long time huh?” Michelle spoke.
“Yeah, it has.”
“How have you been?” She asked sincerely.
“Good. Keeping my head above water. Senior year and all. What about you?”
“Same as you. My mom keeps pressuring me about Ivy League colleges.”
“I’m sure you’ll get into any of them. You’re brilliant.”
“Thank you Peter.” She smiled softly and Peter swore his heart stopped beating for a millisecond.
“No problem.”
“Umm, Cindy said you wanted to ask me something.”
“She did?” Peter pretended he had no idea, he was definitely going to kill Cindy later for putting him under this much pressure.
“Yeah, when she came over to me earlier. She said it was important.” Peter hated Cindy and her nosy busy-body self sometimes.
“Umm, well…I…I was wondering if..you’d..umm…if…you’d…managed to study for the spanish test today.” He rushed the end bit, chickening out last minute. He couldn’t ask her out, the words refused to leave his mouth. His palms were sweaty and it suddenly felt as though he’d been pushed into a fire - he was nervous. The smile resting on Michelle’s face dropped as she cocked her head to look at him, confused etched on her soft features. Peter wanted to lean over and iron out the little frown lines that were drawn across her forehead. Her skin look so incredibly soft, like the shea butter moisturiser she uses (though he doesn't know if she still uses it anymore) and her lips were-
“The Spanish test?” She echoed, bringing him out of his thoughts.
“Yeah," He shook his head. "I mean…I’d had no time to study and I was hoping I wasn’t the only one.” Keep digging Parker, just keep digging that hole. Maybe it’d be big enough to bury you in it.
“Umm, yeah, I studied, sorry Peter.” Peter nodded.
“Okay.”
“Was that all?” NO, he wanted to say.
“Yes,” he replied.
Michelle got up and slung her bag over her shoulder.
“Well, good luck Peter. It was nice talking to you again.”
“Thanks, I’ll need it.” He laughed. “It was nice speaking to you too.”
Michelle began walking away slowly, as though she didn’t really want to leave. Peter chewed on his bottom lip, internally slapping himself for blowing his chance like that. Was he really going to finish high school without asking her out. Once? It's not like anyone expected less of him, he was Peter Parker, a dork, a nobody, him with Michelle Jones? The most sought after girl at school, the brightest, smartest, most beautiful girl at school being with him, it was very laughable. Don't even bother, Peter, she'll never-
“Umm,, Michelle, wait up.” Peter gathered his books and stumbled after her.
“Yes?” Michelle turned around, a dim hopeful look in her eye, barely visible, but there nonetheless.
“Actually, I was also wondering, if you…you’d wanna go out with me tomorrow night. I mean, you don’t have to, I know you’re very busy…not that I stalk you or anything, it’s not like I have your schedule memorised or anything-”
“Peter, I’d love to.” Michelle interrupted, placing her hand softly on his shoulder.
“Wait, what?” The hand on his shoulder was sending bolts of electricity shooting through his body and he's pretty sure if it wasn't for the fact that he was Spider-Man, he'd be fried from head to toe by now.
“I’d love to go out with you tomorrow.” The girl smiled warmly.
“Umm, great. Thanks.” THANKS??
“Should I take your number? So you can text me-” “Yeah, yeah, umm-” Peter dropped his books, looking for his phone in his pocket. He scrambled to the floor, picking them up as he handed his phone to Michelle. She punched and saved her number in his phone and handed it back.
“I’ll text you.” Peter nodded, waving his phone at her.
“I’m looking forward to it. See you in Spanish.” Michelle nodded before walking back towards the table with all her popular friends.
I just asked out Michelle Jones and she said yes. He wanted to do a victory dance right here in the hall but he didn’t want anyone to think he was a bigger dork than he was. He left the cafeteria with a wide grin on his face and the beautiful smile of a brown-skinned goddess imprinted in his memory. His phone vibrated in his back pocket and he shuffled all his books to his left arm to pull it out. It was a text from Cindy.
 You owe me ;)

Potential challenges: : Resource guarding Potential challenges comments:: Resource Guarding: Diva's previous owner notes that she may growl when her food (rawhide) bowl is approached. We recommend that Diva be left along while eating, and that food guarding behavior modification steps (available at ASPCApro.org) be utilized if this behavior is problematic in his future home. Nothing should ever be taken directly out of Diva's mouth, and any time something is removed she should be rewarded with a high value treat or toy. He should be taught the "drop" cue and trade-up games. * TO FOSTER OR ADOPT * If you would like to adopt a dog on our “To Be Killed” list, and you CAN get to the shelter in person to complete the adoption process *within 48 hours of reserve*, you can reserve the dog online until noon on the day they are scheduled to die. “Just Because You Can” Part 2 of 7, Chapters 5-8
[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7 FIN]
The Pines triplets, Mabel, Dipper, and Jolene, have always been best friends. But lately, there’s been some distance growing between the Mystery Kids, due in part to the forbidden feelings with which they are each struggling. How will they manage to see eye to eye, when torn between wanting each other and craving adventure?
(This is a new AU that I’ve been calling Jolene AU, devised by myself and @handleonthescandal after one of us asked the question “What if Mabel and Dipper were triplets but with another sister?”. Although this AU is similar, it is not connected to Double Dippin’ AU, and Jolene is in no way connected to Tyrone.)
Shoutout to @sirwaddlesesquire for being the trustiest squire and an insightful, helpful, and supportive beta.
Mostly SFW, mostly angst with some action/adventure and a little bit of fluff, tw incest
Fic under the cut, enjoy!
Chapter 5: Schoolday Blues
Jolene’s pen moved along the lined paper of her Chem notebook purposefully. Mrs. Pepper droned on about something, but it was little more than white noise to her. She watched passively as her pen carved a drawing on the page, not commanding her hand so much as allowing it. There were no photographs of the Lone Pine Mountain Devils. Not a single one. In the world. There were various accounts of sightings, although there hadn’t been a serious one recorded in a long time. But Jo felt like she knew them. Like various other cryptids and mysteries, she’d read every word about the Lone Pine Mountain Devils that had ever been published. Likely descended from microraptors, she could see their notorious rows of venomous teeth and bristling feathers as clearly in her mind as if she’d already seen them in person.
And one was emerging on the paper before her. Its formidable jaws hissing, baring row upon row of teeth, its bird-like eyes flashing. Father Justus Martinez had called them “winged demons” in his journal in 1878. Maybe that’s what makes Dip such a nervous nilly, Jo wondered, he’s had enough of demons for one lifetime. Her hand screeched to a halt at the thought, a familiar internal war breaking out within her.
Bill Cipher, Jo thought, wearily, angrily, almost reverently. Mabel and Dipper had already encountered (and defeated) the most formidable mystery they were ever going to find. As scary as some raptor-birds were, they were not the equal of a chaos god. Bile churned bitterly in Jolene’s stomach as she thought once again about the stupid summer classes she had been shackled to while Mabel and Dipper went on the greatest adventure of their lives without her. They had both told her a million times how happy they were that she had been safe, that she hadn’t witnessed Bill’s atrocities, or been tricked by his wiles. I don’t want ‘safe’, Jo seethed, I’m not afraid of nightmares and I’m not easily tricked.
She knew it was foolish, childish even, to wish she had been there. And as much as she craved an adventure like theirs, she hated Bill Cipher immeasurably more than she was fascinated by him. He hurt them, she reminded herself, a steely loathing taking form within her as always, No one hurts my Trips and doesn’t pay the price. And he had. But to her it could just as well have all been an elaborate fiction her sibs made up on the long bus ride from Oregon to California. In fact, she had accused them of just that, of some cruel practical joke, until they’d presented her with proof. They’d told and retold all their stories, finishing each other’s sentences and laughing at private jokes. And Jo had watched and listened and laughed, but every story made her feel smaller and further from them. All three of them had always been inseparable, but suddenly, her brother and sister had been separated from her by an experience nothing could match. They sat before her rattling off stories and in-jokes that she would never be a part of, recounting memories, good and bad, that she could never share.
And it’s always gonna be that way, Jo frowned down at the drawing in her notebook, hardly seeing the page. Sure, they love me, but they’re the ones. The best friends who saved the world. Pine Tree and Shooting Star. I’m not on anybody’s zodiac. I’m not a hero to anyone. She thought back to the first few months after their return, the adoring way Mabel had looked at Dipper, her best friend, her partner in crime, her savior. And she still looks at him like that. She’d gotten better at downplaying it, playing it cool and not staring, but Jo knew her better than that. Before that summer, the sisters had been best friends, but by the time it ended, Dipper was Mabel’s favorite. It was supposed to be me.
“Jolene...Jolene!” Jo surfaced from her thoughts and for a blood-chilling instant thought the teacher had called on her to answer a question. But looking around the quickly emptying classroom, she realized that the bell had sounded the end of class while she’d been lost in thought. Mrs. Pepper was approaching her desk and Jo slammed her notebook closed before she could see the drawing. She tapped one finger against the notebook cover, “You must learn to pay attention in class, Jolene,” she admonished, “With the grade you got on your last lab, you can’t afford to keep slacking off.”
Jo made a grumble of agreement as she grabbed her things and retreated quickly from the room. She slipped into the press of students, like a fish entering a swift current. The last period of the day had just ended and the hallways buzzed with the palpable relief of students ready to get the hell out of school for the day. It was one of the few times Jo felt a kinship with her classmates. She made her way towards the entrance from the side parking lot where they usually parked.
She’d agreed to help Mabel move stuff for the play out of the car. Dipper had weaseled his way out of it, talking about how much his tutoring mentees needed him with the placement tests that were coming up, and as usual, Mabel let him off the hook. Jo didn’t mind helping her sister, she really didn’t. I just don’t like double standards.
She resolved to put her crankiness aside when she left the school and emerged into the parking lot. It was a sunny clear March day, and the rush of fresh air was an instant boost to her mood. Jo had always been happier out-of-doors. In addition to the immediate therapy of going outside, Jo’s Triplet sixth sense immediately prickled with the proximity of her sister. There was no way anyone could enter the same space as Mabel and not feel better. Like candy for all your senses, she mused.
She looked around towards where she’d parked that morning and the sight of Mabel nearly stopped her heart. She was wearing her grey skirt with the pink roses on it and at this very moment was bending over through the rolled down back passenger side window, on tiptoe. The thick cotton skirt was lifted up past her thighs, her yellow panties just peeking out. The full length of her slim legs stretched down from the window to the asphalt, her heels lifted out of her turquoise flats. Jolene forced herself to turn away, actually covering her eyes. Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it! The sight was burned into her mind and she tried desperately to erase the memory of the small crease just slightly visible through the yellow cotton, to ignore the speed of her heartbeat, or worse yet, the telltale tingling in her jeans. You’re disgusting, she reminded herself, before turning around and willing her legs to carry her over to her sister.
“Hey Mabey,” Jo greeted, once she was within several feet, trying with all her might to sound casual, hoping against hope that her voice would not give away her secret shame.
Mabel was grumbling to herself about the task at hand when she heard Jolene behind her. “Howdy-doo, Miss-Sis,” she said, turning around. Man, sometimes it took her breath away how beautiful Jolene was. She doesn’t even realize, Mabel grieved, watching Jo approach her across the parking lot. She has a great walk. Mabel looked enviously on Jo’s curves, the swell of her hips in her jeans and the small bounce of full breasts in her tee shirt. Her auburn hair, cut just above her shoulders, swayed with every step. Mabel’s arms were full of plastic bins and shoe boxes spilling over with ribbons and scraps of cloth, but she still managed to shoot her sister a couple finger-guns, hoping to cover up her distraction, “What’s up?”
“Oh, the usual,” Jo said, with a shrug, reaching into the car and retrieving several garment bags stuffed with costumes, all that remained of the play stuff,  “School is dumb, I’m smarter than all those suckers, fuck the system?”
Mabel laughed, “Yeah, of course. Same old, same old.”
“So where are we taking this stuff?” Jo asked.
“Oh, we can just scoot it on over to the choir room for now,” Mabel said, setting off in that direction, “That’s where my sewing stuff is.”
“You’re gonna stay here and sew?” Jo couldn’t keep the incredulous tone out of her voice. Mabes nodded, “You’re crazy, Miss Mabel.”
“Crazy?” Mabel turned to her sister as they reached the door, “I’m not crazy. No, I might be the only sane, capable person in this production!” She stomped in the door once Jo opened it, “What’s absolutely crazy-bonkers-bullwinkle,” she dropped her armful of stuff on top of the piano to punctuate her point and put her hands on her hips, “Is that we start dress rehearsals in three days and this week Liz and Jeremy both quit on me, so I have to finish all the costumes alone!”
Mabel’s lower lip was quivering with frustration, a signal Jo knew well to mean that tears may come at any moment. Hastily hanging up the garment bags on the rack by the door, Jo closed the distance between them and folded her sister in her arms, “Whoa, there, hey,” she petted the soft curls of Mabel’s hair, “Take it easy, you’ll be okay.”
Mabel shuddered a couple times and gave a dry sob, but no tears came, “Thanks, sissy,” she said against Jo’s shoulder, “I should get a-workin’.”
“You need me to pick you up later?” Jo asked, holding her shoulders at arm’s length.
Mabel shook her head, “Nah, Mr. McMahon said I could use the music van if I needed to and that way I can come in early tomorrow without bothering you sleepy-dweebs.”
“Okie doke,” Jo kissed the tip of her sister’s nose, “Go easy on yourself, Mabey.”
Mabel gave her an appreciative smile and started unpacking the things she’d just carried in, “Seeya at the ole homestead,” she said without looking up. As Jo reached the door, Mabel called after her, “Give that flaky brother of ours a punch from me!”
Jo snorted, reaching a thumbs up back through the door before going.
Chapter 6: Planning
He’s never gonna pass that test, Dipper thought to himself as he turned his key in the front door, The best tutor in the world could not get that idiot to understand Trig. Most of the time, Dipper enjoyed mentoring other students, he really did. It was a fun way to keep his own knowledge sharp, it was rewarding to help people, it paid well, and it was one of the only ways he ever met people that didn’t make him feel like a total doofus. But sometimes there was a kid like Scott D’Agostino, who was just not interested in learning and too dumb to do it anyhow.
No sooner did he get in the door than he received a stinging punch to the shoulder, “Youch!” He cried, wincing at the small crack his voice gave. Isn’t that supposed to stop someday? He whirled around automatically to see the assailant, although the loud chortling gave it away. Jo was standing right by the door, laughing hard right at him. Dipper tried to summon the anger to glare at her properly, “What the heck was that for, Jo-jo?”
“That,” she explained, through the tail end of her laughter, “Was from Mabel.”
“Ooookay, but Mabel doesn’t hit that hard,” he said, rubbing his arm, “That was a Jolene punch, in the name of Mabel, maybe.”
“You know what they say,” she made a fist threateningly, “Don’t question the messenger.”
Dipper shook his head a little bemusedly, “That isn’t what they say.”
“She also says you’re flaky,” Jo paused and stroked her chin thoughtfully, “Actuallyyy, I’m not sure the ‘flaky’ thing was a message I was supposed to deliver or just a descriptor... but regardless. One punch, to flaky brother, sincerely, Mabel.”
Dipper rolled his eyes and walked away towards the stairs, plodding up to his room with Jolene at his heels. As he pushed open his bedroom door, he asked, “So, why exactly is Mabel sending me punches?”
“Because you’re flaky,” Jo said, as she plopped down on his bed, “I’m preeetty sure I just said that like about a second ago?”
“Okay, yeah, yeah, enough of this,” he waved his hand between them, “thing we’re doing. Why am I flaky?”
Jo picked her nails, “I dunno, I think because you used tutoring to get out of helping her unload the Mystery Machine? I’m honestly not sure.”
“Mabel is ever a mystery to us all,” Dip sighed, taking a seat next to his sister and grabbing his laptop from his desk.
“But we like mysteries,” Jo reminded him, with the curl of a smile.
Dipper laughed, “We love mysteries.” They lapsed into silence, both patiently watching his computer booting up. We love Mabel, he repeated to himself. It had always been second nature that the triplets loved each other, something assumed and frequently said. But in the last few years, it had gotten so much harder to tell when it was appropriate to say it and when it wasn’t. It’s never the wrong time to say it, just the wrong reason to say it.
Impatient with his zoning out, Jo reached over to type in his password--“d3cip3r thi5”--for him, and the smell of her pulled him right back. Why do girls smell so good? Dipper wondered, breathing in her scent without being too obvious. Jo smelled a little like fresh-cut grass, like hard green apples, and the vanilla shampoo she shared with her sister. But Mabel… Mabel smelled like ripe strawberries, like apple pie with ice cream. He’d spent a lot of time thinking about how marvelous it was that the two of them could in a way smell so alike and so different, just as they were so alike and so different.
“Okay, Dip-man,” Jo said, “If we’re going up to Tahoe this weekend, I’m sure you have some meticulous plan to give me.”
Dipper couldn’t help but grin at that, as he opened up ‘operationtessie.doc’, which he had worked on last night after bidding Jo goodnight. He’d needed to do something. He’d learned the hard way that going to sleep with either, or oh god both, of his sisters on his mind had unsavory consequences, “It might be my best plan yet.”
Jo groaned, “Dip, pleeeease!” she pointed at the four-page document displayed on his screen, “These plans never work!”
“So, then what?” Dipper scoffed, “Do you want to just drive up to Tahoe and go in there without a plan like a couple amateurs?”
“No, I’m not an idiot,” Jo said, “But we’ve seen it a zillion times! While you’re checking off boxes on your stupid lists and trying to follow your compass and taking proper “precautions”,” Jo punctuated with particularly scathing air-quotes, “Big Foot and all his buds are having a tea party in front of you and you don’t even see it.”
“Sure, sure,” Dipper agreed sarcastically, “Instead of taking precautions I should have no caution? We’re not going out there to drink tea with Tessie, we’re going to get a picture, observe, and go. If we do it right, she’ll never even know we were there.”
“We might as well go bird-watching,” Jolene huffed.
Dipper had to take a deep breath, why did they have to have this conversation every time? He sighed, “Jo, no. It’s not boring. It’s never boring. I’m just trying to keep us alive.”
“Okay, okay, fine,” she crossed her arms, “We can go in with one of your plans, that’s cool, I get it, but we need to trim this baby down! We’re never gonna stick to a plan this convoluted.”
“Convoluted?” Dipper bristled, “You haven’t even read it yet!”
“Fair point,” Jo said, plucking his laptop from his hands. She scooted back against the wall, bent her legs in front of her and set to reading, tapping the trackpad every few seconds. Dipper’s frustration quieted as he watched her read. Her glasses had slid down the bridge of her nose, and her green eyes ran swiftly across the lines of typed text. The light of the screen glowed on her face, the corner of her lip just curling up in a curious smile.
Whenever he looked at her or Mabel for too long, he could feel the butterflies convening in his stomach. Why do you have to make it weird? He asked himself, impatiently, You’re lucky to have been born with the two best friends anyone could ever ask for, and you gotta go and make it a weird sex thing? It wasn’t that simple, and he knew it. It isn’t about sex, although goddamn is sex part of the problem. He tried, as he always did, to imagine he’d never noticed his sisters were girls. Maybe if he’d never noticed they were girls, they all could have just kept on being normal codependent siblings and left it at that. It’s not just because they have a second X-chromosome, he knew. He’d been friendly with plenty of girls, even pretty, vivacious ones like his triplets, without ever thinking of them this way. It’s what made saying he loved them so hard. Because he’d known for a long time now that he loved them, both of them, much more than a brother should.
“Okay, bro-tective, here ya go,” Jo said, handing him back the laptop. At least two-thirds of the text was highlighted in fluorescent green.
“Ouch, my eyes,” Dipper joked, making a show of squinting at the screen, “Whaddya do to it?”
“I highlighted all the junk that has to go,”Jolene said matter-of-factly.
Dipper resisted the impulse to reject the idea, and instead tried to consider Jo’s suggestions. As he went, he deleted most of them, secretly grieving for the work he’d put into it. By the time he’d reached the bottom, the document had shrunk to a page and a half in length, “There,” he said, “Is that better?”
“Hmm,” Jo chewed her lower lip and Dipper tried desperately not to stare at the way the blood rushed back, restoring the rosy color, each time her teeth released it, “You left the thing about life jackets. We’re both really good swimmers, do we really need life jackets?”
“Yes, Jolene,” Dipper said, running his hand down his face in frustration, “The life jackets are non-negotiable.”
She considered it, skimming the list again for the handful of highlighted items that remained, “So you’re really serious about bringing eighteen disposable cameras? We have both our phones and the digital.”
Dipper shook his head and held up both hands, “Digital or otherwise, the cameras stay.” He laughed darkly, “Not making that mistake again.”
“But didn’t you use the one under your hat anyw--”
“Not the point,” Dipper interrupted Jo’s correction, “The cameras go, I go.”
“Pssh, such a drama queen,” she said with a light punch to his shoulder. She considered the list a moment longer and shrugged, “Okay, it’s good.”
“It’s good?!” Dipper exclaimed happily, turning to face her.
“It’s good,” she confirmed, smiling, “Nice work, Dip-man.”
“Thanks,” he said, pride glowing in his chest, offering a fist bump, “Tahoe Tessie, watch out for the Mystery Kids.”
Jo fistbumped him hard, “Mystery Kids, yo!”
Chapter 7: Surprise Bacon
It was late when Mabel got home, parking the van by the mailbox. She was dead tired and ready to sleep. Her fingertips and eyes were stinging from the hours of sewing and gluing. Her stomach rumbled in complaint that she hadn’t eaten since lunch in the cafeteria hours before. Okay, she bargained with her body, a bite to eat and then straight to beddy-bye for us. She trudged up to the door, fumbled for her keys in her shoulder bag for a rattling moment before extracting them and unlocking the door. She locked it again behind her, slipped her keys back in the bag, and dropped it heavily by the door. Mabel’s stomach growled at her angrily again, and she patted it appeasingly as she dragged her feet to the kitchen.
“Welcome home, Madam Seamstress,” Dipper greeted her from the kitchen. She was surprised to see him, but gathered her wits quickly. After all, it was old news that he was a night owl.
“Howdy Dipdot,” she replied, a little flatly.
Dipper was in the process of making himself a grilled cheese and it smelled heavenly. He must have seen her staring at the frying pan because he laughed and asked, “Do you want one?” She nodded rapidly and he laughed again, “Cool, you can have this one in a sec. I’ll just make myself another.” he gave her a once-over, “You look like you need it more than I do.”
“Thanks a lot,” Mabel spat, a little grumpily. “Okay, okay,” Dipper held up his hands, spatula in the right, in surrender, “Just sit down at the table, hangry-pants.”
“‘M’not hangry,” Mabel grumbled, as she took a seat at the kitchen table.
“That’s exactly what hangry Mabel would say, but okay,” Dipper said, lifting the grilled cheese out of the pan and sliding it onto a plate, handing it to Mabel. He set about assembling another grilled cheese for himself and asked Mabel tentatively, “Sooo… I guess today wasn’t so great?”
“Ha, what gave you that impression?” Mabel asked drily, eating her way around the crust.
“Well, you coming in at two in the morning famished was one clue, but--”
“Ohmigosh, there’sh bacon in here!” Mabel exclaimed with her mouth full of grilled cheese, “Shurprishe bacon!?” Dipper nodded, smiling at her enthusiasm. Even exhausted, no one lights up a room like Mabel, he noted before pushing the thought away, buttering the pan and dropping his own sandwich in, “Wait…” Mabel’s brow furrowed, “You only made shuffishent bacon for one shandwich! That’sh not fair!”
Dipper shrugged, “It’s cool, Mabes, you had a bad day.”
Mabel grinned, her cheeks chipmunking from the mouthful of food, “Thanksh, bro-bro.” Mabel munched on her grilled cheese for a couple moments in happy, thoughtful silence. Much as she sometimes tried, it was practically impossible to stay mad at Dip. Without fail, he always put his sisters before himself. I mean, Mabel considered, it takes a special kinda dude to give away all his bacon. She looked over at Dipper and felt a surge of pride. He’d always been a great bro, but every once in a while it struck her that he had grown into a really good man. He stood over at the stove, humming to himself and attentively nudging his grilled cheese around the pan. He was wearing last year’s blue Chess Club tee shirt and a pair of thin flannel pajama pants. Dipper had been short like her and Jolene until last year when he had suddenly shot up like a weed. Honestly, she was still getting used to his height. Tall looks good on him, though, she couldn’t help thinking, her eyes drawn almost magnetically to the way the soft PJs draped on his cute little bottom.
“So,” Dip said, interrupting her thoughts as he flipped over his grilled cheese and turned to her, leaning his hip against the counter, “Ya wanna talk about whatever made your day so lame?”
“Well, I was kinda mad at you, Dipstick,” Mabel admitted, taking another bite of grilled cheese, “Up until the point you gave me noms, that is.”
“Always I can buy your forgiveness with noms,” Dipper noted with a crooked smile that made Mabel’s heart race. Does he have any idea how easily that smile could get him kissed?, “Really, though, do you wanna talk about it?”
“Eh,” Mabel shrugged, popping the last bite into her mouth, “Just got saddled with all the costumes.”
“What about Jeremy and Lizzie?” Dipper asked, taking a seat across from her and biting into his grilled cheese, “Weren’t they supposed to help out?”
“Jeremy and Lizzie?” Mabel said, wetting her fingertip to lift buttery crumbs off of her plate. Seeing her place the tip of her finger in her mouth was enough to have Dipper’s blood rushing south. He was grateful for the table between them, shielding her eyes from the traitorous tent rising in his lap, “Those turncoat sons-o’-witches flaked out on me. Of course.” she placed her fingertip just between her lips and it came away wet and clean.
“Oh, yeah, of course,” Dipper said, taking a large bite. Chewing gave him a moment to compose himself, “So they flaked, and I got punched? Ya see the problem here?”
“You got--? Oh, Jo-jo?” Dipper could’ve sworn Mabel was blushing, “She actually punched you?”
“She actually punched me?” He gave a disbelieving laugh, “Of course, she punched me! Are we talking about the same Jolene here ‘cause my Jolene is prett-y dangerous.”
Mabel laughed along, even as her newly-satisfied stomach gave a flip. It seemed as though the mention of Jo was all it took. His brown eyes, so like her own, gleamed with a mystery she’d only seen in them a few times. It was a look that always got her heart racing and her cheeks reddening. But he was smiling that wistful smile, with his eyes dark and flashing, because of Jo. Mabel cursed the unwelcome twinge in her chest. Not because of me, because of Jo. Here they were, acting almost like siblings were supposed to, and always these thoughts came and fudged it up.
It was bad enough to admire Dipper, to want him. To tell herself it was because he was such a great brother, when she knew it was so much worse than that. But worse than this sick, twisted, devastating crush, was the jealousy. Thinking of Jolene had become so hard when once they had been best friends in the simplest terms. The image of Jo walking towards her in the sunny parking lot, jeans hugging the curves of her legs, tee shirt clinging to her gently bouncing breasts… it was never easy to tell anymore if she wanted her or wanted to be her. Sometimes all she wanted was to push the fabric out of the way and run her hands along her sister’s skin, to touch her, to taste her, to be close to her. Maybe getting close enough will make me more like her, maybe if I could just feel--
“I NEED TO GO TO BED,” Mabel cried out, suddenly enough that Dipper almost choked on a bite of grilled cheese. To be honest, she’d said it to silence her own unwanted thoughts more than to clue Dipper in. Leaving her plate on the table, Mabel stood up stiffly and left the room.
“...goodnight,” Dipper called after her, his food turning to ash in his mouth. He threw down what was left of his sandwich and crossed his arms. She could tell, you idiot, he admonished himself, might’ve been triplet brain, or maybe it’s just that obvious that you’re a freak. His heart lurched at the thought of how pale and drawn her face had become before she’d left the table, her eyes full of that strange dark look he could never quite place, a subtle sadness settling on her brow. It seemed like he never got a moment alone with Mabel anymore, and when he did, he always somehow fucked up like this. Dipper sighed, cleared their plates, and trudged up to his room to lie awake in bed.
Chapter 8: Sister’s Lament
They had practically the same hands, but Jo just knew that Mabel’s would feel different than her own. Everything about her would feel different. Jo tried to imagine her round breast was instead Mabel’s smaller perky one, thought of the small peek of pink nipple she occasionally got as Mabel was clasping her bra behind her back. She tried to imagine, as her hand skated down the soft squish of her own tummy that instead she could feel the tight flat expanse of Mabel’s. The very tips of her fingers nudged the waistband of her PJs underneath her blanket, and the fire kindled bright in her.
In the dark of their room, Mabel’s bed still empty a few feet away, Jo was losing hold of herself fast. In her mind’s eye she could clearly see her sister’s favorite pajama shorts, the baby pink ones with the little brightly colored lollipops and pieces of ribbon candy. She could see the way the little strip of scalloped white elastic at the edge would stretch across Mabel’s pelvis, gapping away from her flat tummy in between her hips. It would be so easy to slide her fingers into that inviting shadow the way she slipped her hand into her own pants now.
Her fingers felt cool against the heat of her skin inside her panties, and her breath hitched, wondering if Mabel’s hands would feel cold or warm. Dipper’s would feel warm and clammy, Jo thought, before pushing her brother out of her mind. Mabey’s hands are usually cold, Jolene reminded herself, pretending with all her might that the fingers moving lower and lower on her body did not belong to her. Lightly, lovingly, the way she imagined Mabel would touch, she ran a fingertip along her slit. She felt a little ashamed of how wet she found herself whenever she let her dreams of Mabel carry her away, but her hips lifted off the bed of their own accord, straining for a deeper touch.
Jolene slowly dipped one finger inside of herself, and wondered desperately if Mabel would feel the same. As tight, as warm, as wet. Oh,, I’d make sure she was even wetter than this, Jo boasted inwardly, If I could ever...if only she’d let me, if only she’d want me too. The thought of Mabel wanting her, not allowing her out of familial love, but looking on her with desire, was too much. She added another finger to her slick heat and purred into her pillow as she let her hips set their eager rhythm,. A small whimper escaped her, and her imagination filled with all the delicious sounds Mabel might make. Her voice is always so cute, her laugh is so musical, oh god, oh god, she must sound so sweet. Jo’s fingers moved faster inside her and a prolonged sigh left her and she wondered, does Mabel have to fight this hard not to cry out? When she’s touching herself like this, is it this hard for her not to moan and sigh?
Jo could feel herself grow wetter at the mere thought of Mabel’s fingers moving, slippery and hungrily, into herself. Do I ever cross her mind when she’s like that? Jo wondered, wishing for a world where Mabel secretly yearned for her just like this. She tried to imagine how Mabel would look and sound, squirming and whimpering under her own hand, and imagining it was my hand. But no, no, the knowledge came uninvited, no, she thinks of Dipper.
Once the thought of him came, there was no pushing him away this time. Mabel wouldn’t lie there imagining her sister’s fingers. She’d be wishing instead for that mysterious, enticing part of Dipper, so absent from either of them. And why not, the hungry voice in Jolene’s head asked her, wouldn’t it feel good inside you? Wouldn’t it feel right to wrap your legs around his waist and see him looking down at you like he has a goddess in his arms? Jo never let herself think about Dipper like this. The thoughts of Mabel wouldn’t go no matter how she tried, but the thoughts of Dipper could usually be kept at bay.
It had grown much too hot under Jo’s blanket but she was too close now to risk stopping to throw it aside. The arousal coiled inside her like a spring, growing tenser and tighter, threatening to pop. She gave herself over to her desires, stopped trying to keep these sweet forbidden thoughts away. She allowed herself to imagine the unknown feeling of Dipper’s cock moving inside her, touching her deeper than she could hope to reach herself. She allowed herself to imagine Mabel’s lips against hers, moving wet and fast, tasting exactly like a candy apple. She allowed herself to imagine her hands, her tongue, exploring their bodies as they made love to each other, could hear Mabel’s cries and see the look on her face as Dipper filled her. And she allowed herself to imagine them wanting her, choosing her, including her. Her breathing echoed heavy in her own ears as her orgasm loomed, about to fall, as she allowed herself to imagine giving this exact impending feeling--
The door opened and every cell of Jolene’s body froze. Mabel’s slender silhouette stood in the doorway and hesitated, sighed, before entering. Jo had never been so petrified, her fingers still lodged deep inside her, motionless, her orgasm obliterated before it ever came. Mabel’s upset, Jo could tell instinctively, from the sound and sense of Mabel’s demeanor in the room. She moved quietly and carefully about between her dresser and her bed. Jo caught herself straining to see a glimpse of Mabel’s bare form as she changed and stopped herself, The fuck is wrong with you, Jolene Pines?? She closed her eyes tight, to ensure she would quit trying to ogle her sister and wondered what Mabel was upset about. Does she know? Mortification overcame her as she wondered if her sister had seen her, had heard her, could smell her. Snap out of it, even if she knew, she doesn’t know what you were thinking about. And Mabel wouldn’t be this bent out of shape about you masturbating.
Mabel found her pajamas by feel and changed into them in the dark. She was relieved Jo was asleep, was happy she didn’t have to face her right now. Where Dipper was often dense, Jolene was usually pretty intuitive, particularly when it came to the wellbeing of her sibs. She’d know something was wrong, Mabel knew, swiping a tear from her cheek. And then she’d have to spin some story about being stressed out about ‘Twelfth Night’, which I am, try to pass this off as Hell Week tears. But Mabel hated lying, especially to Dipper and Jo. She asked herself once again how long she could keep this up. How long am I going to be able to hide my true feelings from the two peeps I trust most in the whole world? Her stomach lurched, but how could I ever tell them the nature of my feelings and expect them not to flip the frick out? I could lose them. Her will hardened. Losing her Trips was not an option.
Without brushing her teeth or washing her face, Mabel crawled into her bed. How strange it was that some nights, your own bed welcomed you like a hug and other nights the cold sheets just made you feel more alone. She curled up tight in a ball and tried to push all her thoughts of her brother and sister away.
She turned her thoughts desperately to ‘Twelfth Night’. She tried to run through the costume and scene changes in her head from start to finish, picturing how the costumes would look on the cast. With a sinking feeling she remembered she needed to take the van in early to finish the last few costumes. She reached over to set her alarm to wake her in a few hours. Olivia’s bridal gown for the last scene required the most attention. Mabel considered her plan for it, the sweeping train, the jewel-encrusted bodice, the tiara giving way to the floating veil. Its femininity would contrast beautifully with the menswear of both Sebastian and Viola.
She had loved watching that last scene rehearsed and looked forward to seeing it in the dress rehearsals and performances. When the central twins recognized each other and embraced, she always found herself deeply moved. Fear and guilt and relief warred in her. Something in that hug always dragged her back into the surreal bubble of Mabeland, of really seeing Dipper again as he was, not a naysayer of her paradise, but her brother, her best friend, her dearest love. She cringed at her own foolishness, at the true contents of her love for him. As sleep closed in on her, she tried and tried to focus on Viola and Sebastian’s sincere sibling hug, but always it was interrupted by his new wife, by Olivia finally out of mourning and dressed in white, by Jolene in a veil the same sea green as Mabel’s old shawl.

Summary for Chapter 1: ...
Notes: Much thanks to @miles-to-go2 THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Edit: As for now, I’m discontinuing this fic.
Yay! The first day of school! Sounds fun right? Nope! I hate school. Every. Single. Bit of it. Those plastic girls, jocks, bullies, lunches, getting up early to go, bossy teachers, homework, tests.... the list goes on and on and on.
So today, I walked into school like almost every other kid in America. Damn laws, forcing us to go to school. Who created this law anyway? Hopefully I'll find out one day, so I can slap them (or, in the likelihood that they’re dead, I can spit on their grave).
I wandered the hallways until I reached homeroom, pushing past a group of yapping girls to get into the classroom. After making my way to the very back of the room where my desk resided, I tossed my bag onto the floor and flopped down into the chair, popping my feet up on the desk. I watched as people came into the room while I absentmindedly played with a piece of my long dark green hair. It fanned out behind me like a… well... palm tree. THERE! I admitted it.
You might be wondering who I am. And here is the answer to that--I'm Envy Alister! Don't be shocked. I come from a family of people named after sins. Lust and Greed Alister are my parents, and Sloth and Wrath are my two siblings. Sloth is in her senior year while Wrath is in 6th grade. Pride and Gluttony are my uncles on my mother's side, but they are long gone. No wonder everyone avoids me, I was named after the ugliest sin. Ugh, I wish I wasn't born into this family.
"Oof!" I jerked around in my seat to see that a golden-haired boy had tripped on his way over to his desk, hitting his arm on it--which was right next to mine. Bad choice, kid.
I smirked, looking at the boy. "Have a nice fall, Shortie?" The name rolled off of my tongue easily, teasing the kid about his height.
Shortie looked up at me as he managed to get into the chair. His golden eyes shocked me so much that I didn't even hear him shout that he wasn't short. Those eyes held some fire and.... something else I couldn't figure out. Only when I realized that I was staring did I look away.
I glanced up at the teacher as he started to call out names. "...Envy Alister..." I rose a finger into the air. The teacher, the same one I had last year for history, gave me a dirty look. 'Mr.' more like 'dickhead' Mustang continued saying names. "...Edward Elric..." Shortie next to me yelped out a “here.”
I kind of zoned out for most of the rest of the name call, but I heard the names of my two friends called out, Russell Tringham and Ling Yao. Mustang started to walk around passing out schedules although mine was partially thrown into my face.
I quickly skimmed through my schedule before stuffing it in my bag.
(1. Chemistry-- Kimblee
2. World History-- Mustang
3. Algebra-- Hawkeye
4. Gym-- Armstrong
5. English-- Fuery
6. Wood Shop-- Havoc )
I watched Ed out of the corner of my eye as he read his schedule. Damn, he’s smart according to his classes. But ah-ha! I'm smart as well.
It seemed like my staring made Shortie nervous, because he kept lightly tugging at his braid and shooting shy glances at me. Luckily the bell saved him, and he leapt up from his seat and quickly walked out of the classroom. I let out a sigh, threw my bag over my shoulder, and stood up. Ling bounced over to me, his black ponytail swishing a bit as he walked. "YO! Envy!"
"What?" I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear without noticing as I looked at my friend.
"I saw you staring at the new kid," Ling teased, bumping my arm slightly and starting towards the door.
I rolled my eyes. "I wasn't staring at him. Okay?”
Ling laughed, not believing my lie. "Alrighty then. See ya'!" He walked off into a different hallway.
I walked into Chem class a few moments later and spotted Shortie at the back of the classroom. I skipped over to him, my hair bouncing with me and annoying a lot of the people getting hit by it. But guess what? I didn’t care! "Hello Shortie." I fell into the seat next to him. The tables were so sat two together.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING SO SHORT THAT THEY CAN FIT UNDER A DOOR JAMB?!?" Ed faced me with a look of utmost fury, which made me chuckle, driving him even madder.
"Quiet down, Ed," I said, once people started to turn around and stare. I don't like people staring at me, and after glancing at Shortie, he didn't either. He was flinching away from the stares.
"Whatever," he muttered at me under his breath once people looked away. "How do you know my name anyways?"
I rolled my violet eyes. "I was paying attention during roll call. And saw your schedule. We have the afternoon together."
Ed just stared at me with those wonderful golden eyes for a moment then muttered, "I didn't catch yours."
"Envy Alister," I said to him before looking up at the Chemistry teacher. Kimblee stood at the front of the classroom, a smirk spread across his face. His dark black hair was pulled up into a tight pony tail, which clashed with his all-white clothing. He put some notes up on the board for us to copy down. I simply sit back in my chair, tilting it back a bit to recline. It's not like I'm going to start working on the first day of school, so I decided to watch Shortie some more.
Shortie had pulled out a binder from his black bag, a flamal imprinted on it. He opened up the binder to a blank page and grabbed a pen. I bit my lip a little as I watched, my gaze lingering a bit on his golden hair. It was pulled back into a braid and a few pieces were poking out, as if he had rushed to braid it this morning. My fingers itched to undo it and fix it. I'll find a chance to do it today, even if he doesn't let me.
Crash. My chair tilted back too far, making me fall backwards and slam the back on my head on the desk behind me. "Ow, fuck." I couldn't see anything, it was all blurry. Unwanted tears had gathered at my eyes due to the pain and shock of falling over. My vision continued to get blurrier until my vision went black.
"Dammit Envy, wake up already."
"No..." I let out a weak groan, rolling over slightly until my foot hit something… someone, more like.
I felt a poking. "The nurse is getting nervous and I want to go back to class."
I recognized the voice and opened my eyes a little. "Shortie...?"
"IT'S EDWARD, NOT SHORTIE," he yelled.
I let out a small chuckle and tried to sit up, which just caused dizziness, forcing me to fall back on the pillow. We were in the nurse's office. At least the bed is somewhat comfy. "How long was I out?" I asked after a moment.
"Two hours, it's lunch now. Nurse wanted you to stay here the rest of the day. I was forced to stay and watch you." I noticed the noise of a pen moving against paper and realized that Ed was doing class work.
I nodded a little and grabbed the pillow that was under my head, pulling it to my chest as if i was hugging a stuffed animal. Let's see what Shortie would do; might as well mess with him a little.
My eyes were closed, so I sat and listened. After a moment or two, Ed's binder snapped shut and he put it away. Silence. The bed creaked a little, as if Ed had gotten up or moved a little. Suddenly I felt something warm on my cheek, moving a piece of hair to the side. I almost opened my eyes, but kept them shut firmly. I wasn't expecting Shortie to touch me! Who would willingly touch me?
To cover the slight uncharacteristic blush that had jumped to my cheeks, I nuzzled my face into the bed sheets, as if I was sleeping. The hand was pulled away and the bed lifted up as Shortie got up. There was some rustling of fabric, then the soft noise of gauze being unrolled. Curiosity pricked at my stomach. Did he hurt himself somehow?
I slowly rolled over and let go of the pillow. I slid my violet eyes open as if I was waking up to see that Ed was already done with the gauze. He had done quick work of wrapping it up from his hands to his elbows on both arms. Small dots of blood could be seen on his right arm. "Ed? What are you doing?" I whispered, still too out-of-it to put the pieces together.
"Huh?" He glanced at me and paled a little, his golden eyes turning fearful. "I-I was just.... fixing up something. I fell yesterday and scraped both arms."
"Oh. Okay." I just shrugged and yawned a little. Maybe I should sleep, I thought,  but I don’t want him to leave.... Another blush hopped up to my cheeks; I quickly rolled over so Shortie wouldn't see. I forced down my blush and glanced up at Ed. He had pulled his dark grey hoodie back on, tugging at the sleeves a little to cover his hands. The cuffs of the sleeves looked like they were being constantly picked at; there was a homemade thumb hole made on each cuff.
"Tell me about yourself," I commanded, rolling over onto my side with an arm thrown down my body so that my hand rested on my hip. To be honest, I do have a female-like body in some ways. Nice hips and some curves. It doesn't help when I pull my hair back into a ponytail.
"No." Shortie didn't even look at me as he picked at the cuffs.
"Why not?"
"Why won't you shut up?" he shot back.
"It's kinda boring laying in this bed alone." I hid my smirk.
Ed glanced up at me in surprise. His golden eyes sparkled as he thought. "Only if you shut up and go asleep," he muttered at last.
I grinned. "Deal." I held up the sheet so Ed could crawl under it, so he did. Ed visibly stiffened as he laid there, staring at me. I sighed and lightly put my hand on his shoulder. The muscles in his shoulder flinched a little, but Ed was holding back. "Just relax," I whispered, uncharacteristically kind.
Shortie nodded a bit and relaxed. A small smile and blush crept up on his face. I wasn't expecting that, but I smiled back at him. I shifted closer to him so our knees touched just a little before I closed my eyes.
The last thing I remember before falling asleep was Ed sliding his arms around my neck and shoving his face into my shoulder.
A few hours later, I opened my eyes to darkness. Ed must have forgotten to wake me up, I thought. Maybe he went home and forgot about me. I went to roll over onto my back but I felt resistance. Arms were around my neck. "Shortie? Why you cuddling me?" I whispered, realizing that he was snuggled against me in a warm embrace.
"Mrff." A low sound came out of him as he slowly woke up. He blinked his golden eyes tiredly and looked at me. His eyes seemed to glow in the darkness.
"Ed, what are you doing?" Why is he touching me? Aren't I the sin, the evil one nobody likes, the jerk that can't be loved? Love… God, that word is overused.
"I was sleeping until you woke me up," he grumbled, pulling back slowly. I was so tempted to reach out and pull him back against me, but for some reason I held back--I never hold back.
I rolled my eyes a little and sat up, looking around in the darkness. I fumbled around until I managed to pull my phone out of my tight jeans. I clicked the home button and my phone turned on with full brightness. It blinded both of us for a minute before I managed to turn down the glow. The time read 4:39. We glanced at each of other. "Shit. We're locked in the school."
We both jumped off of the bed and ran to the walls, running our fingers over the walls to find the light switch. I didn't flinch as I heard the thump and clatter as stuff fell. Once I found the light switch, I flicked it on to see Shortie, face first on the floor with the contents of his bag all over him. He must’ve ran into the bag, which was hanging on the hook by the floor.
A smirk spread across my face as I dissolved into fits of laughter. Damn, Shortie could be amusing.
"Oh shut up," Ed muttered, cleaning up the mess he had made as I calmed down from my laughter.
I smiled, now very giddy. "Come on Ed. We have the school to ourselves. Let's play around." I let out a soft giggle. Once I start laughing, I don't stop. That has made problems in the past, getting all giddy and then breaking something. Another reason I have Russell in my group; he always forces me to calm down.
Ed sighed softly and looked at me. "What kind of playing? I don't want to vandalize the school, but I don't want to... to go h-home..." Ed stuttered at the word home and looked down, clearly uncomfortable.
Noticing but not pushing the issue, I said, "We can go on the streets, then, or go to my place." I quickly grabbed my bag and flung it over my shoulder.
"Your place then, if it's nice," Ed said as he walked to the door and opened it. We quickly left the school and started to walk down the street. We barely talked; the only thing Shortie said was that he had just recently moved.
I climbed up the front steps once we got home and opened the door for Shortie. He nodded thanks and stepped in.
"Welcome to my house, Shortie." I spread my arms out wide and dramatically.
A small snicker could be heard behind me from Ed, obviously amused by my opening. "Your house is big." I glanced at him to see him smiling softly, looking around.
"Envy! You’re home!" Little Wrath ran across the living room and ran towards me. "You're late."
"Yeah. Sorry, Wrath." A face pressed into my shoulder blade. Ed's warm hands gripped at my shirt. "Ed? Something wrong?" I asked, fighting the blush that was rising up my face.
"Why is he dressed like that? Is he your brother?" Ed muttered.
I looked at Wrath up and down for a moment. He was smiling brightly while trying to get a glimpse of Ed. He was wearing a crop shirt and shorts, plus arm gloves, all dark green (like the anime). "Wrath? Why’re you wearing that?"
"Why not? We're at home, aren't we?" He was still trying to get a look at Ed. "You hiding a small girl back there?"
I face-palmed just as Ed shouted, "I'M NOT A WOMAN AND I'M TALLER THAN YOU SO SHUT UP ABOUT IT!"
"Calm down, Ed." I grabbed Shortie's wrist and practically dragged him upstairs.
"Let me get at him!" He struggled against my grip but relaxed and followed me once out of Wrath's sight. Halfway up the stairs, I felt Ed twist his wrist to get out of my grip then, shockingly, slip his hand into mine, twining our fingers. A blush crept up my cheeks again as we made the rest of the way upstairs. Why can't control my face?! Goddammit Ed.
The second door on the left side of the hallway was my room. I opened the door with my free hand. "Here we go, Shortie." It seemed like Ed didn't mind being called Shortie by me, or he was just too focused on looking around my room to notice.
I grinned and looked around as well. Like almost everything else, the room was dark green, red, and black. Posters spanned the walls. At one point in my life (aka a couple years ago), I turned into an anime freak and learned Japanese so I could talk to Ling in his native language. I hid my obsession most of the time. I looked down at the ground in self-consciousness as Shortie looked around.
Shortie glanced back at me. "I like your room," he mumbled a little. He looked around again, then froze at the sight of my manga box. "You know, I never got into anime...."
I let go of his hand and nudged him towards the box. "Start reading then. I'll just be changing into something else and telling Sloth that I'm home."  I quickly grabbed some things and headed out of the room.
I changed in the bathroom. My clothing is kinda like Wrath's, except that I have a skirt instead of shorts. I smirked at my reflection in the mirror and popped a hip.
Once out of the bathroom, I skipped down the stairs two at a time, a joyful hop in each step. I skipped over into the kitchen. "Sloth! I'm home!"
My older sibling looked up from what she was making and flashed a small soft smile at me. "Wrath told me. I'm making dinner. Parents won't be home tonight." Sloth was wearing an apron over a black floor-length slim dress. Her pale brown hair pulled into a loose ponytail over her shoulder in the classic ponytail=early death thing. I've told her many times to change her style but she never listened.
I nodded as she continued, "Wrath also told me that you brought a short girlfriend home."
A frown spread across my lips. "One, he is not a woman, and two, never let him hear you call him short."
Sloth smirked a little. "Oh, how do you KNOW that he's not short and a woman." She wriggled her eyebrows a little.
I instantly went beet red. "SLOTH!"
She giggled softly and continued to make dinner. Wrath hopped into the kitchen and started to help, his dark hair pulled back into a ‘tail so it wouldn't get into the food.
I sighed, bored once again. Everyone seems to ignore my presence. Lust and Greed are always out so Sloth is more like my mother, but she cares for Wrath more. The younger me, (I don't know why, but people keep saying that he’s like mini-me), always gets attention. His cute face and personality always win. Yes, my friends Ling and Russell watch my back, but over the past year it's seemed like they were drifting away from me and more towards each other. So who cares about me now?
Ed.
I forgot him upstairs in my bedroom. I quickly left the kitchen and went upstairs and into my room. I opened the door to see Ed curled up in my blankets, the manga loose in his hand. It looked like he had fallen asleep after a few pages. "Edward Elric~ Wakey Wakey~" I said in a sing song voice, bending over him.
"...no," he grumbled in his sleep and curled up tighter, letting go of the manga. He pulled the sheets tighter around him.
I sighed and poked him. "Dinner is going to be done soon," I said, continuing to poke.
"Don't care. Too sleepy," he grumbled, not opening his eyes and obviously not wanting to get out of my bed.
I frowned at him. "Fine. Whatever. I'll just eat your share of food," I huffed, and walked out of my room. Shortie doesn't deserve the food Sloth makes if he doesn't have the respect to at least get up and see who she is. I normally wouldn't care, but I have to admit, Sloth's food is good.
Once dinner was finished and ate, I yawned and headed back upstairs with a wave goodnight to Sloth and Wrath. I pushed open my bedroom door to find that Shortie had thrown off his pants and shirt (leaving the sweatshirt on) and continued to sleep, his hair now down. I let out a soft groan. Damn, this kid could adjust to someone else's home fast.
I looked around my room and sighed. I wasn't going to sleep on the couch, that was for sure. Hopefully Shortie didn’t mind sleeping next to someone else.
I slipped off my own clothes. I would’ve kept my clothes on, but Ed had stripped, so why shouldn't I? My gaze flicked over to Edward then down at myself. My whole body seem to flush as I thought of something that I shouldn't have, forcing me to look away. Does Ed like guys, does he care that I slept next to him? The way he acted around me was giving off the vibe that he liked guys. Or was it just because I look kinda like a girl in some aspects? I bit my lip a little and slid under the covers next to him. I blushed again and rolled over so my back was facing him, so I wasn’t looking at him.
I stared out the window, not able to sleep. My nerves were hypersensitive to the boy sleeping next to me, my ears sharp and perking up at every breath he takes. I tried to turn off my thoughts as I stared outside at the sparkling night sky. The moon was blinding white. For the past week it had been covered with clouds for some odd reason, but tonight it was different.
"...Envy..." I heard the Shortie say my name. I would never had heard it if the whole house wasn't silent like it was then. I was about to turn around when I felt him pressed up against my back, his breathing tickling the back of my neck, making me freeze. So I just laid there, stiff and afraid to move for the rest of the night.
I was still awake that morning, sun now flowing out of the window. Ed had slipped his arms around me during the night, as if he was hugging me. A blush was still plastered across my cheeks. I normally would have been enjoying this, but I had no idea why Ed was acting like this. Usually there’s a reason, but the boy seemed just to do stuff and not care if he was bothering the other person. I so wanted to roll over and cuddle the Shortie to my chest, but what if Sloth walked in? Or even worse, Wrath. Sloth wakes me up most mornings but she hadn't come in today, probably respecting my privacy with when I was with Ed.
I began to get frustrated and poked Shortie's shoulder. "Wake up. It's time for school."
The arms around me tightened for a moment, then loosened as he woke up. "Hm... What?" I felt him nuzzle my hair for a moment before pulling back and sitting up. I let out a sigh of relief and sat up as well. "We have to get ready for school." I slid off of my bed and pushed stuff around in my drawer, looking for something to wear. Once I found the things I was looking for, I turned back around and faced Ed. "You have to wear what you have unless you want to shimmy into Wrath's clothes." I let out a smirk. "You're just small enough that you might fit."
"HEY! I'M NOT THAT SM-" I shut the door behind me as I left to change in the bathroom again, cutting off Ed's shouts.
I took a quick shower, trying not to take too long. My eyes began to droop and I got out of the shower. I was really tired! I tried splashing water on my face, which didn't do anything. I shouldn't have slept with Shortie! Now I was going to keep falling asleep all day and have to go back to the clinic… not like I cared or anything, but Ed would follow me there anyways. That kid was pretty clingy, and I couldn’t seem to shake him off for some reason.
I finished up in the bathroom and bounced, kinda sideways due to tiredness, down the stairs and into the kitchen. I saw that Ed was already sitting at the table. He was dressed in Wrath's clothes, a dark top with jeans. His familiar sweatshirt was still on and his hair was rebraided. His head jerked up as he saw me walk in, a smile spreading across his face. I forced a small smile and I sat next to him. Wrath and Sloth were sitting across from us. By the looks of it, Ed had introduced himself to Sloth already. I started to eat the food in front of me, without saying a single “good morning.”
I heard Sloth sigh and say towards me, "Mother and Father aren't back yet."
"Not like I care. They’re always out doing 'stuff’ alone together,” I said, using finger quotation marks, “clearly not caring about us."
Sloth nodded while Ed looked at me, confused. "I'll explain later," I grumbled at him, still eating. Ed had placed his fork down and just sat there. I glanced up at him. He had a small frown on his face, looking at his plate. "What's wrong?" I asked him.
"I can't finish this," he said in a very small voice.
Sloth shrugged. "You don't have to."
"But you made it for me," Shortie kept saying softly.
I frowned. "It's fine. Sloth does--"
"ENVY! Your girlfriend doesn't want to eat because she doesn't want to get fat." Wrath smirked at me from across the table, wriggling his eyebrows.
Anger flared up in me as I growled at him. "He's not a girl. He's a guy," just as Ed shouted, "I'M NOT A WOMAN!"
Wrath laughed, but he shut up as Sloth batted him on the back of the head. "Anyways," Sloth shot Wrath a glare, "why do you look so tired Envy?"
I shrugged and scarfed down the rest of my food quickly while Ed gave me a strange look, as if asking me the same thing. "Oh! Look at the time. We might be late for school!" I cried out pointedly at Ed, meaning to say, "I'm fucking done with this conversation.”
"O-ok." Shortie glanced at his plate of food before getting up and fetching his bags.
Sloth bathed us in goodbyes as Ed and I made it out the door. "Phew." I let out a breath of relief and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I clicked a few buttons on it until finding Ling's contact and called him. I watched Ed sit down and wrap his arms around his knees as Ling's phone ringed. Shortie's face was facing down at the ground, a mixture of a frown and a smile on his face. This confused me so greatly that I didn't hear that Ling has picked up until the third yell of, "HELLO?!"
"Hey Ling. I need a ride."
"You have that little friend of yours with you, don't you?" Ling said, a knowing sigh in his voice.
"It's not like that! But yeah. Shortie [Ed: IM NOT SHORT DUMBASS] is here." I smirked a little at his screams.
"I'll be right there." Ling hung up the phone with a loud click. I plopped down onto the ground next to Ed.
"You two have to sit together." I stared at the car as Russell laughed at me. The car was full except for the front seat. Ling was driving, and the three back seats were full with Russell, Winry and Rose. Fuck. Why this?! I was mentally fuming. Why the hell did he pick up all of our friends? Was he trying to embarrass us?
Ed looked up at the people the car, stiffly standing next to me. I watched him relax slowly once looking at who was packed into the car. I let out a sigh. "Fine." Grumbling, I threw our bags into the trunk then plopped down into the passenger seat. "Come on, Shortie."
Shortie shot me a glare then walked over to the car slowly. He bit his lip a little and sat down gently onto my lap, shifting a little so his back was pressed against my chest. His head came up to just under my chin, so I could’ve easily shoved my nose into his golden hair. Both of our cheeks lit up as Ling snickered. I reached over and shut the door just as Ling began to drive off.
"Hi Eddy!" Winry said, smiling.
"Don't call me Eddy! It's Ed!" Shortie protested in my lap, obviously upset at the nickname, but he calmed down. "Hi..... Sorry, I don't know your names."
I wound my arms around Ed as my friends introduced themselves. He seemed not to notice, so I took that as a good sign. Oh God, I was tired. I dipped my head and rested my forehead on his shoulder. Maybe I could get a few moments of rest before we got to school….
