incredible, amazing, impeccable.

it had everything I loved about the original, as well as a few changes that I really liked

the younger half of the cast felt more like kids, more vulnerable and younger than how they seem in the broadway version

two of the characters' relationships with Diana felt much less sexual (you know which ones I'm talking about)

going hand in hand with the first item on the list, the son was a lot less malevolent, yet no less destructive for it, and somehow that was so much sadder

the stage had a revolving circular section in the middle that was used to great effect (very jarringly so at one point, when I was so focused on the singing characters that I missed whatever was happening behind the counter, and then it spun towards me and there was like a gallon of very realistic fake blood on the floor)
