the absolutely Vivid reality based chronological dream i had last night. man

#i got a job at like... an automobile warehouse or something? #we had to change a large trucks tires... #and i was sent to get some more from across the block or whatever #and its more complicated than that - there were conversations and interactions with people etc #and i was trying to find it but it was all like... in this corridor shopping mall? #the signs were western themed and listed items that you could get in that store #though i think it was all free? #anyway at some point it opened into a restaurant and i had a friend there who was carrying a plate for people who left prematurely #so i of course started shoveling it into my mouth - free food! but their manager caught us #and i had to be all 'hey i work around here im just lookin for tires and no one was gonna eat this anyway' #it was like... a rice/mango/cream thing...? strange because i dont like mangoes! #long story short i had to go back for the tires bc i wound up forgetting them. something about a dog.... #i was too late in getting the tires so i had to go sort rubber bolts instead :/ at least the warehouse was cool #absolutely unprompted #but it was very. linear. and it felt very real. like it was genuinely a place and a job that could exist #like i remember what the outside loading area looked like. the packed restaurant. the corridor. the warehouse. the lockers. the hallway #IF I HAD A BETTER MEMORY I STG I COULD MAP IT OUT #god i love my dreams. they're always plot based and im rarely myself <3

I do kinda wonder, considdering how much Luffy hates being alone... On those first levels of Impel Down, did Luffy stick to Buggy as if they had been glued together, not because he trusted the clown (let alone liked him), but because Luffy hates being alone and being with Buggy meant he wouldn't be alone?

Like think about it, Luffy didn't give a damn when he ran into Buggy, it wasn't a Happy Reunion like it was with Bon-chan

"Oh, it's Buggy" vs "You're alive!!"

And while we know Luffy is at least A Little Stupid, Luffy does have pretty good instincts when it comes to making judgements about people, and he has emotional intelligence when needed So between Luffy not really liking Buggy when they reunited in Impel Down, and Luffy even currently thinking Buggy is a loser, it seems unlikely to me Luffy like, wanted to team up with Buggy when they ran into each other. But Luffy did understand he'd have a hard time getting to the bottom of Impel Down by himself, and he knew Buggy would be mostly harmless in this situation. If anything, the clown could maybe help him along the way, even if only a little. And yeah, at least he wouldn't have to be alone if Buggy came along.

I think that might be why Luffy decided to give the treasure map to Buggy

Like yes, Luffy may have been naïve to think Buggy wouldn't ditch him as soon as he got the map instead of keeping his end of the deal, but also. Maybe for Luffy the risk of getting ditched was a better option than not trying and being alone anyways.

Maybe Luffy chose to give the map to Buggy because of that, so he wouldn't be stuck alone.

I refuse to believe Tim only snuck out at night to go to Gotham. He definitely fucked around in the city on weekends and summertime. A bunch of people from Crime Alley to Robinson Park who know him as “the one weird kid” + friends he used to hang out on various playgrounds with as kid.

No kid adventurous enough to decide to sneak out at night in the first place, let alone do any of the shit Tim has done, is gonna be satisfied staying cooped up in a lonely manor.

Also, Tim must love Gotham. He must. Sure, maybe Tim’s obsession with Batman and Robin started with him just wanting to see some cool gymnastics and fights, but Tim absolutely believed Bruce and Dick and Jason were heroes. Else, why would he care about Bruce self destructing? It’s sad to see anyone suffering, especially someone you look up to, but Tim must have been genuinely upset at how Bruce was treating people to try that hard to get Bruce to stop. Tim knew he could get hurt, and he knew he would have to stop Bruce from going too far, but he became Robin anyways. And he kept fighting every day even though he was put through the ringer over and over and over again. Robin can’t just be a job for him. There’s no way he doesn’t love his city…

Sorry I got distracted. What I’m really trying to say is that I think Jason and Tim should keep accidentally having mutual friends from before they were Robins/Waynes.

A project I'd love to do if I ever have a Good Idea for it is using Litematica as a gameplay element in an adventure map

By which I mean: it is possible to alter Litematica settings such that the schematic render is nearly indistinguishable (except for some lighting idiosyncrasies) from actual blocks (I have a tutorial for that here).

I'm fascinated by the concept of using a tool that many people treat as uncreative or a way to 'cheat' at survival building into something that is actively hostile to survival players. There's the obvious idea of pit traps and unseen ledges, but you can also do things like hide wood or some needed material inside a schematic block - the only way to know what block is actually there is to break it. Using this for a less rage-inducing mechanic, hiding materials in floor schematic blocks would necessitate paying attention to footstep noise changes, emphasizing observation rather than "break everything uou see like it's a Kinder egg" lol.

Imo it's a concept that would work best on Peaceful or as primarily a puzzle- something themed on secrets and hidden things and not trusting your eyes :D

i really love the rivalry that forms between two e-liters on different teams in splatoon. something about this matchup is inherently fun to me; it's a very unique experience that comes from playing the weapon with the longest range in the game.

you're unreachable. you're a dominating presence, the anchor to keep your teammates afloat. the battlefield is yours to watch over. your laser sight line sees all, aiding your teammates from a place of safety.

even as you snipe the frontliners who challenge you and your teammates, there's always one person who remains. they're just like you. another who pressures the enemy from afar, intimidating those who dare to push further. they're always within your sight, as are you to them.

your teammates want them splatted. and so do you. the rivalry begins.

it's about the refusal to get in range of them. the refusal to give up the space you control to the other e-liter. the dedication to staying alive for your team.

in spite of all these reasons to live, there's an undeniable temptation to throw yourselves at them. to try and surprise them with your superior range in a way your teammates can't. it's the ego of believing that you can get a good shot at them.

and so it becomes a dance, with your pride on the line. a dance to stay out of range of the other, alternating shots at each other as you rotate around the map. peeking out of cover, jumping behind blocks at the chance to splat them. any minute now, they'll slip up.

but you know that it's not that easy. after all, they know your tricks, and practiced the same techniques themselves.

they've splatted you. it's a death more embarrassing than letting a frontliner slip into your perch unnoticed. you overstepped. and yet, you can't help but respect them. their aim was just better than yours in that moment.

you're back behind cover. you find an opening, and jump over the block to shoot your shot. you've splatted them. more than any other opponent, you've watched and studied their positioning like a hawk, all for this moment.

and the cycle begins again. (until you pick a different weapon on the weapon select screen.)

What If Gaus Electronics was a daydream Jang Hanseo made up to deal with the abuse he was going through? Hear me out:

Okay to start off: I don’t actually think the show was made with the intention of well, being an escapism Jang Hanseo made to deal with everything so I won’t call it a theory or anything.

But head canon that maybe, maybe Hanseo made up a world where he was the main character just, living a normal office job. Living a boring, normal ordinary life far away from his current position as puppet CEO.

The structure of Gaus Electronics is similar to a cartoon. When Sangsik gets hurt (e.g. when he lost a tooth in the first episode) he magically regains it later on. It’s all silly and lighthearted and nothing truly devastating happens in the show, the only injuries that stay longer then a few scenes are needed to progress the plot (e.g Narae’s arms being in casts so Sangsik and Aziz have to look after her.)

Sangsik makes a potentially catastrophic mistake in the first episode for the company he works at, but this mistakes ends up helping the company. It means Marketing Team 3 gain a lot more respect than they had before.

He makes a mistake and it doesn’t hurt him or lead to awful consequences, which we know for a fact isn’t the case for Hanseo. Even the smallest mistake leads Hanseok to hurt Hanseo or could be fatal for the company. He has to deal with the weight of always having to please his brother (whose impulsive, erratic and mood can switch drastically at the drop of a pen) while also making sure he doesn’t mess up anything as the fake CEO of babel.

Thats a lot of pressure, constantly on his shoulders.

But in this universe he doesn’t have either of those things.

Why not make a world where he could imagine what it’s like to just make mistakes like every other human being and not get hurt for it? To be allowed to grow from them and learn rather than live in fear of what would happen to him for doing so?

Moreover, it wasn’t even Sangsik who uploaded the video in the first place publicly!! It was Mr. Cho the invisible dude (I think that’s his name) which is a great metaphor of how Hanseo has to take the fall for all of Hanseok’s mistakes publicly.

Things that weren’t even his fault he had to apologise for! To the public! He had to endure the hate and backlash for all of it!

Maybe Hanseo in his head makes up this entire universe. He’s the main character, he works for some random office in this world in the lowest Marketing Team. He was never allowed to suggest ideas to Hanseok, but now its his job! It’s his job to come up with ways to market the company he works at!

Hanseo has lived in riches his whole life and it’s all he knows (e.g. how he reacted to the Jipuragi office) so maybe what Matan thought living a normal life was like is what Hanseo thought it was like.

Maybe Hanseo projected onto Matan, and that’s why Sangsik wanted to become Matan’s older brother so badly.

He wanted to be the older brother to him he never got.

And maybe if he also plays the older brother, he could make sure he wouldn’t be hurt again.

Anyone who “hates” Sangsik in the show comes to love him (Narae) or secretly do love him even if they pretend they don’t (Mr. Baek). He has people who care for him and love him even if he’s “stupid” and messes up. Something Hanseo desperately wanted.

He wanted a family. And that’s exactly what Marketing Team 3 could be for him. Even if they were fake. Even if they were made up.

He could at least imagine what it felt like to be happy if he wasn’t allowed to be so.
