WHAT would you do if hannibal was rebooted. Thought exercise.

Oh...oh

To be honest I would be very reluctant about it cause I don't do well with changes. Especially something as major as taking my favorite show and changing my favorite actors. I'm not sure I would be able to accept that very easily cause I am emotionally attached to it. It would have to be very very very well designed for me to accept its existence in the Hannibal universe.

And if I didn't like it I would just pretend it didn't exist. And tbh a reboot has high chances of sucking cause Hannibal nbc is a masterpiece and it would be extremely hard to even get close to that level of greatness.

Basically, I would die for season 4 if Bryan Fuller directed it and if the old cast played in it. I don't want a reboot of the whole series. Im very protective about this show im sorry lol

Critical Yarns: Dariax

250 yards, 4 ply Aran Weight, 10 ounces, 10 different types of wool, then dyed with a combination of red, black, and chestnut in a crockpot (see on right)

So the idea behind this one originated with me buying this international wool sampler set - ten one skein samples of wool from all over the world: Charollais, Eider, Finnish, Gotland, Manx Longtail, Norwegian, Perendale, Tasmanian Polwarth, Texel, and Zwartbles. It seemed fitting for a guy dedicated to traveling. Then I assigned each of them a number and rolled a D10 to see in which order I would spin it, for extra randomness. It's a four ply because I wanted to make it as short and thick and possible for our stacked little himbo. It was nice to actually be able to take notes on how the different spun up on a practical level. While I was planning for more of a reddish brown I was thinking of doing a sample swatch this time, but decided the more Dariax thing would be to wing it. I still like the way the color turned out!

Next up? Opal. Then maybe Deanna and FRIDA - there's a poll you can vote in, if you want to have a say on how Deanna shows up. General plan is to finish Exandria Unlimited, then start on Exandria Unlimited Calamity (so much glittery firestar), and the Worlds Beyond Number characters.

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.

Clone’s Best Friend

“Cute dog!” the girl says. “What breed is he?”

“Uh,” blinks Kon. "Are you asking what breed Superdog is?"

“Uh, duh?”

Well. She’ll have to forgive him his stunned expression, ‘cause he doesn’t usually run into other dog walkers on this path. This is, of course, because “path” is used in the loosest sense, the one that connotates direction and not tread ground, and the “walk” bit is entirely inapplicable, with all of them currently flying one thousand feet above sea level.

“Cujo’s a rescue,” she continues, swinging her feet in the sky, “so we don’t know for sure, but my sister thinks part husky, part shar pei. Half-and-half, like me!”

Cujo is also, apparently, half green and half glowing. He wiggles happily in a play-bow. It’s very cute, except for the way he’s the size of a small house.

Krypto’s tough, though. He barks and chases his new friend through cloud cover. Gamely, Cujo flees. They frolic in the chilly condensation, occasionally poking a head out before diving back in, like a fox in a snowdrift.

Neither of them see anything surprising about this. It’s all good fun. And, well. Krypto’s always been a good judge of character.

Kon turns back to the girl and gives her a megawatt smile.

“He’s Kryptonian. Like me. But he looks like a white lab!”
