#it took me about four months to realize that it was even a crush and i couldn’t figure out why i wanted her to like me so badly
I'm an Idiot
Pairing: Luke Castellan x fem!reader
Summary: Luke has a dream about about his best friend y/n that leads to him ignoring her so she doesn't find out his true feelings
Warnings: angst, Luke being an idiot, smut 18+ only please, language, it's a LONG one but it's so worth it I promise
"Shit, Luke," y/n moaned out, her soft breathes fanning against Luke's scarred cheek, "right there."
Luke thrusted himself deeper, groaning out at the sensation and burying his face in the crook of her neck. "God's, y/n, you're so fucking tight."
Luke pushed in slowly once more, burying himself to the hilt. He was going painfully, torturously slow. Luke wanted nothing more than to fuck her senseless until all she could do was scream his name, but not if it meant hurting her so he held himself back from driving into her full force and taking her like he so desperately wanted to.
Y/n knew what he was doing and responded by wrapping her legs around his hips, pulling him in deeper. They gasped simultaneously at the new angle.
"Don't-", he stuttered, "Don't do that." He held her hips down to prevent her from moving again, gripping it so tightly he was sure it would leave a mark and the thought sent a pleasant shiver down his spine. He panted against her sweaty collarbone as he tried to regain his composure.
"You don't like it?" She whispered in his ear seductively, raising her hips up to meet his.
Of course he liked it. He fucking loved it, but it was testing the restraint that he was already in a losing battle with. If she continued to pull him in deeper like that he was sure to snap. Luke could feel her clenching around his cock and fuck it made him want more.
When he didn't answer, y/n leaned in to whisper in his ear. "Stop holding back, Luke. I want you to fuck me."
With a sly smirk, Luke pulled out of her before-
Luke startled slightly as his eyes opened to the early morning sun that filtered through the windows of the cabin. He could hear the birds chirping outside and the slight footfall of other campers making their way to breakfast.
He sighed in frustration and rubbed a hand down his face, only to freeze when he felt a body stirring against him. He slowly lowered his hand, his brown eyes falling to Y/n's sleeping form next to him. She was fully clothed with her back to him as her shoulders rose and fell with each even breath she took.
Luke had one arm wrapped around her waist while the other was trapped beneath her head. Her hair falling over his arm and onto her pillow in a perfect halo. For the daughter of Hades, she sure looked angelic in this moment.
He realized he must have fallen asleep during one of their late-night talks, given that he had woken up in her cabin rather than his own. Luke was honestly thankful for her company. His sleep was typically plagued by never-ending nightmares, but never when he slept with her tucked into his chest.
Noticing that she was still sound asleep, Luke decided to relax and enjoy a few more moments of rest before he would inevitably have to wake her for breakfast and break them out of their comfortable bubble. He closed his eyes and pulled her body closer to his, tucking his face into her hair that smelled faintly of her jasmine and coconut shampoo.
Unconsciously, Y/n snuggled back against him, pressing her body back against his. Her round ass pushed against the bulge in his pants that he hadn't realized had been rapidly growing since he woke from his dream. Luke grunted at the contact and swore under his breath quietly. Nightmares may not be a problem when sleeping with y/n, but for the last few months other dreams had started to become a bit of an issue.
Luke had had a crush on her since the first day she walked into camp four years prior, something Clarisse and Chris never hesitated to poke fun at him about. How could he not? She was gorgeous, funny, and fiercely protective of those she loved.
The two of them had always had a flirty sort of banter that probably went beyond the bounds of friendship, but he never really made a move, of course, fearing his feelings wouldn't be reciprocated and valuing their friendship too much to jeopardize it.
Just like he was about to if she woke up and felt his hard on nestled between her perfect thighs.
It was probably a dick move to leave before she woke up, but Luke would have to come up with an excuse later because there was no way he was going to be able to conceal what the dream of her panting and writhing beneath him had caused.
Ever so carefully, Luke shifted his weight toward the edge of the bed and slowly began to pull his arm out from under her head, freezing when she stirred in her sleep. He swore quietly under his breath and waited until she stopped moving before pulling his arm away from her completely.
He tiptoed his way to the door, the old hardwood floor groaning slightly beneath his weight as he walked. Luke reached the door and turned to take one last look at her sleeping form that was now nestled against the pillow beneath her head, soft snores emitting from her pink lips. He smiled to himself and closed the door quietly, bounding through the camp on his way to take a very cold shower to relieve him of his 'little' problem.
The sound of her front door clicking into place made Y/N stir against her black silk sheets before she woke entirely, noting the now empty bed beside her. She furrowed her brows as she sat up, noticing that Luke's shoes were gone and so was he.
It confused her, to say the least. Luke had never been one to sneak away before she had woken up, usually opting to wake her with whispers that sent tingles down her spine and butterflies to her belly.
Luke had been acting strangely the last few months, but he never hesitated to crawl into bed with her when she complained of insomnia or nightmares. Having him around while she slept had eased what normally plagued her, and she knew it did the same for him. She shrugged lightly to herself, figuring that he had camp counselor duties to attend to, and she would catch up with him later. Still, disappointment settled in her chest at not being able to wake up with his body wrapped around hers.
Y/n was a camp counselor herself, but since she was the only current daughter of Hades, she was more or less in charge of only herself when she wasn't training the younger campers. She rose from bed, tidying the cabin around her before throwing on a pair of spandex shorts and her Camp Half-Blood shirt to get ready for her daily training sessions after breakfast.
She made her way down to the pavilion by herself, basking in the warmth that spread over her tanned skin where the early morning sun broke through the trees. She could hear the rumble of conversation from the other campers who were already sat for breakfast as she drew closer.
Y/n made her way through the breakfast line, her eyes scanning the area for a familiar mop of dark curls as she piled strawberries and pancakes onto her plate. She turned to make her way to her usual spot, noting that Luke hadn't yet made an appearance there, which was odd since he had obviously left before her.
Y/n took her usual seat next to Clarisse, saving the spot to her left for Luke whenever he decided to show, with Chris, Travis, and Connor sitting opposite her.
"Hey," Chris greeted her around his mouth full of pancakes.
"Hey," she replied distractedly, her eyes still scanning the pavilion.
"Who are you looking for?" Clarisse asked, noting her odd behavior and trying to follow her wandering eyes.
"Luke, of course," Travis said with a smirk.
"Who else?" Connor added with a smirk identical to his twin brother's.
Y/n's face flushed a light shade of pink as she resigned herself to pushing the food around on her plate with her fork. She knew that her crush on her best friend was painfully obvious to everyone—well, except for the one person who truly mattered. It wasn't like she really tried to hide it, always saving him a seat on her left at meals and choosing Luke as her sparring partner or simply cuddling up next to him by their nightly campfires.
She was hopelessly in love with her dark-haired best friend, but she never attempted to make a move, fearing rejection or, worse yet, jeopardizing their friendship. Still, Y/N couldn't help but blush when he would wrap his arm around her innocently and tuck her into his side or become flustered when she caught a glimpse of his well-defined abs when he would lift his shirt to wipe the sweat from his brow during sparring sessions. Needless to say, she had it bad.
"Hey guys," Percy greeted the small group of friends as he sat to Y/n's left, leaving an empty space for Luke. Annabeth took her seat across from him. "Where's Luke?"
All eyes at the table turned toward her, and she rolled her eyes in exasperation. "How would I know?" She speared a strawberry on her plate with a bit more force than necessary.
"Oh, I don't know," Chris shrugged his shoulders sarcastically. "Maybe it's because he spends more time in your bed than in his own these days." He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, earning a smack to the head from Clarisse and a glare from Y/n.
"Speaking of the lover boy," Connor says, his eyes falling to Luke as he makes his way through the breakfast line.
Y/n tries her best to act nonchalant, fighting the urge to turn and look at him. Instead, she resigns herself to pushing the strawberries around on her plate.
When Luke finally makes his way to their usual table, he pauses, noting the empty spot left for him next to Y/N. He battles with himself silently as his feet carry him closer. He wants to sit next to her more than anything, but just the thought of her leg accidentally brushing his under the table causes his dick to twitch in his cargo pants. There was no way he would be able to hide a boner with this many people around. Normally, he had a bit more self control, but thay dream had really done him in.
He had been fortunate enough not to encounter any other campers on his way to the showers this morning to relieve himself. His hand had been wrapped around his length, stroking himself in a fast rhythm as he imagined y/n lips wrapped around him, quietly moaning out her name as he came in his fist.
Luke quietly groaned to himself as he rounded the table, feeling y/n's piercing eyes on him as he took a seat between Connor and Chris. Everyone at the table froze, forks hovering midair in confusion and disbelief at the strange behavior. Luke didn't even pay them any mind, trying his hardest to avoid your gaze that had sparked with what looked like disappointment, fearing that if he started blushing he would never stop.
"Okay," Clarisse said, drawing out the word and breaking the silence that had fallen over the group. "Cabin Twelve is throwing a party on Friday. Are you guys in?"
"We're always in," the Stoll twins spoke in unison. Y/n thought it was funny when they did it, but Luke always found it disturbing and creepy.
Luke was barely listening to his friends’ discussion as he pushed the food around on his plate. He was trying to avoid looking up, knowing that Y/N was across from him, trying to meet his gaze. He knew she had given up when she let out an almost inaudible sigh, and he suddenly felt guilty. He hated ignoring her, but it physically pained him not to hold her and draw her in for a kiss when she pouted her perfect pink lips at him. It was as if Aphrodite herself was trying to punish him.
"I don't know," Travis shrugged his shoulders, taking a sip from his cup. "I'll probably ask Silena to go with me. What about you?" He looked over at his half-brother, who was still staring down at his untouched food. "Luke?"
"Hmm?" He hummed, breaking out of his thoughts and looking up from his plate for the first time since he sat down.
"Are you bringing anyone to the party?" Travis asked again.
"Oh, um," Luke was at a loss for words. There was only one person he truly wanted to ask, but he knew she wouldn't see it as anything more than friendly. They had attended parties together in the past, but it seemed inappropriate to him now that he had come to the realization that he was in love with Y/N. "I don't really know. I haven't thought about it."
Connor, being Connor, decided to stir the pot a bit. He opened his mouth to say, "What about Laura from Cabin Ten? She has a pretty massive crush on you."
Luke shrugged and finally took a bite of his breakfast, not noticing the way y/n's eyes watched him anxiously. "Yeah, I guess so," he replied, a bit distractedly. It would seem weird if he didn't take anyone, but he couldn't take y/n without torturing himself to the brink of insanity. He still couldn't shake the image of her beneath him or the faint sounds of her breathy moans that echoed in his mind.
Y/n had decided that she had had enough. She slammed her silverware onto her plate, swiping it up, and marched her way over to the fire pit. She threw her offerings into the flames and made her way to her first activity of the day. Tears stung her eyes, and jealousy clawed at her chest as she marched past the table where her friends all sat, looking slightly concerned at her sudden outburst.
Luke's eyes trailed after her, watching her back until she disappeared over the hill. He sighed to himself and ran a hand through his curls. He had thought that if he kept a bit of distance his body and mind would relax a little but he was more tense than ever.
Clarisse kicked him under the table causing him to wince and rub at his now sore shin. "What the hell has gotten into you?" She shouted at him.
"Ouch, what are you talking about?" Luke glared at her as he continued to rub his sore leg.
"I'm talking about y/n," Clarisse said, her brows raising as if what she was getting at was obvious. It was, but Luke didn't want to admit what he was doing was stupid.
"What about her?"
It was Chris's turn to chime in. He turned to his half brother and said, "Since when don't you sit next to her at breakfast, and since when don't you two go to bonfires together?"
Luke groaned in irritation, his face growing hot. The last thing he wanted was for them to pry and find out the real reason he was ignoring his best friend. It was embarrassing the way he was dreaming about her, and jerking off to the thought of it like a fifteen year old who just discovered women exist.
"My world doesn't revolve around y/n." He grumbled.
Percy snorted from his spot across the table. "That's bullshit."
"Language!" Luke, Annabeth, and Clarisse all chastised him at once.
Clarisse turned away from the son of Poseidon and back to Luke. "He's right, though. You two are always flirting with each other, and it's painfully obvious. Do us all a favor and put us out of our misery. This tiptoeing around each other is disgusting."
"What Clar means to say," Chris said, shooting a look at the curly-haired girl who merely shrugged, "is why are you avoiding her? We all know you like her, so why are you holding back?"
"Because he's a chicken shit." Percy chimed in with a smirk.
"PERCY!" They all yelled and the blonde rolled his eyes.
"Oh, come on! I'm thirteen, for crying out loud!" he yelled back, slamming his hands on the table. They all ignored him and went back to their conversation at hand once more.
"All we're saying," Chris said, gathering his plate of offerings and standing up, "is that you two have been riding this line between something and nothing for too long. Man up and ask her to the party." And with that, he threw his offerings into the fire and walked off toward the rock wall.
Sparring practice was a bit more tense than usual that day, and it was obvious to everyone around them. When they had all chosen their partners, Y/n had been quick to ask James from Cabin Ten before Luke could even take a step in her direction. It caused a stir among the other campers who witnessed the out-of-character behavior, leading them all to wonder what had happened between the two counselors.
Usually, she would make her way to his side, joking about trying her best not to mess up his 'pretty face', but today she wasn't really in the mood to joke and be ignored by her best friend.
Luke sat frozen for a few seconds, utterly shocked that she had chosen someone over him. He guessed he deserved it for the way he had acted at breakfast, but it still stung knowing that she was angry with him. So, instead of standing there looking like an idiot, he grabbed Percy by the back of his shirt, pulling him away from where he was attempting to flirt with Annabeth. He left her to pair up with one of her siblings as he dragged Percy to a spot where he had a clear view of Y/n.
They began to spar, and while Luke was the best swordsman the camp had seen in over three hundred years, his head wasn't in it today. Percy disarmed him repeatedly while his eyes wandered over to Y/N. She was currently grabbing a drink of water while James stood at her side, whispering something that made her throw her head back and laugh.
She pulled at the hem of her orange tee, lifting it up to wipe the sweat from her face. Luke's grip tightened on his sword when he saw James's eyes lingering over the tattoo on her right hip. He made to step forward when Percy's hand on his arm made him freeze and look back at the younger boy.
"I don't think that's a good idea. She already seems kind of irritated with you," Percy warned.
Luke scoffed, shaking his head, and walked over to where she was smiling with her hand placed gently on James's bicep. The sight made his blood boil, and he had the overwhelming urge to rip the boy's arm off.
"Hey," Luke said, directing all his attention to his best friend, who, at the moment, wouldn't even glance his way. "Can we talk?" When she continued to ignore him, he lowered his voice more and whispered, "Please?"
Y/n couldn't help herself; she lifted her gaze to his and nearly caved when she saw the pleading look in his eyes. But then she remembered how he had snuck out of her cabin that morning and proceeded to ignore her throughout breakfast. Y/n folded her arms over her chest and put on her best poker face.
"I'm a little busy right now."
"Oh, really?" Luke asked in a patronizing tone, crossing his own arms over his chest. Y/n had to try her best not to glance down at his bulging muscles. "Busy doing what, exactly?"
"Well, if you really want to know," she stepped closer to the blonde on her right, "I was just about to accept James's invitation to the party Friday night."
That was a total lie. Y/n had actually been about to turn the boy down and state that she probably just wouldn't go, but she figured if Luke could go with a date, then so could she. Maybe it would help her let go of her crush on Luke once and for all. She knew she deserved better than waiting around for the boy to come to his senses.
Luke scoffed, his face scrunching up with the action. "You're kidding me, right?"
This made Y/n angry. Luke had no right to be upset over her accepting a date to a party he didn't even want to attend with her.
"So what?" She took an angry step toward the curly-haired boy. "You can talk about asking Laura to the bonfire, but when I accept an offer from someone who's genuinely interested in me—"
Luke interrupted her. "You seriously think this guy," he gestured to James, "is seriously into you? Have you forgotten that he and his siblings sleep with people and then dump them just for entertainment?"
James stepped forward, trying to put himself between Luke and Y/n, something that irked the girl to her core. She didn't need anyone to defend her. "Hey, woah. You don't know shit about me, man, and you don't get to talk to her like that."
Luke's features darkened as he narrowed his eyes at the boy who was just a few inches shorter than him. "Back the fuck up and mind your business. She doesn't need you to be her knight in shining armor."
They were nose-to-nose now, exhibiting the typical dick-measuring contest, and Y/n had had enough. She pushed her way between the feuding boys (yes, boys), placing a hand on each of their chests. While James looked down at her with a smug grin, Luke refused to tear his gaze from the blonde, wanting nothing more than to wipe that smirk off his face.
Y/n tried to meet Luke's gaze, but he wasn't backing down. With a heavy sigh, she let her hand drop from his strong chest and backed away, though it physically ached to do so.
"Let's just go, James." And with that, she turned on her heel and walked away, with James right behind her. Subtly, he flipped Luke off behind his back.
The days leading up to Friday were awkward and tense for Luke, Y/N, and the friends who surrounded them. In the mornings, when Luke arrived for breakfast, Y/N would suddenly be in a rush to get to her lessons. At night, she would lock the windows and doors of her cabin, pretending not to hear Luke knocking and pleading with her to let him in and talk.
By the time Friday rolled around, Luke was absolutely miserable without his best friend, and he was kicking himself for being so stupid. He wouldn't have had any reason to be jealous if he had just come right out and told Y/N that he was in love with her the very day he had realized it himself.
Now, here he was, looking like an absolute idiot, all alone, leaning against a tree with a drink in his hand as he watched his best friend snuggle up next to James by the fire. She was laughing and smiling as he spoke, but never quite like she did when she was with him. Every once in a while, her eyes would catch Luke's, and it made his heart skip a beat in his chest until she would quickly avert her gaze and give her full attention to her date for the night.
"Where's your date?" A voice spoke from his right and he pulled his eyes away from Y/n to see Laura batting her eyelashes up at him.
Luke shrugged and took a long pull from his cup, the liquor burning his throat a bit on the way down. "Didn't bring one."
"That's odd since I overheard that you were going to ask me." Laura licked her pink-painted lips and smiled, placing a hand on his chest. "I was waiting for you to ask, but-"
Luke's attention was pulled away as his eyes landed on Y/n, who was walking away from the party and back toward the cabins. He didn't even give an explanation or say goodbye to the Aphrodite girl as he pushed past her to follow his best friend. He was almost certain he heard her call him an asshole but he really didn't care.
Luke followed behind Y/n all the way to the cabins, unsure if she was aware of his presence. He figured she probably did, since she had the instincts of a goddamn wildcat, but was probably still just ignoring him.
He was a few yards away when he watched her reach her cabin and go inside, and he didn't hesitate to walk up the front steps and knock. Now that everyone was at the party, he could possibly get her to talk to him without an audience.
Nerves settled in his chest as he raised his fist and rapped it against the dark wooden door, waiting on the edge of his figurative seat for her to open the door and face him. Luke listened closely to the shuffling on the other side of the door before he heard a sigh and then the click of a lock. For a moment, he thought that she had locked him out and turned with a heavy heart to make his way back to the Hermes cabin to wallow in his self-pity until her soft voice reached out to him.
"What do you want, Luke?" She sighed heavily as she stood in the doorway, the door partially blocking her chest.
By the way she was attempting to cover her chest, and the way Luke could see her bare shoulder and the strap of her bra, he guessed that she had been in the process of undressing and getting ready for bed. He was trying, and failing, not to let his eyes wander as he made his way back up to her door.
"Can we talk?" Luke asked quietly, his voice and eyes pleading with her to say yes.
She hesitated for a moment before nodding and opening the door for him to step through. He let his eyes wander over the expanse of the cabin that he had seen a million times before in an attempt to give her some semblance of privacy while she found something with which to cover up.
It wasn't until she cleared her throat from behind him that he turned, and his heart stopped in his chest. She stood there with her arms crossed and shoulders tense, now covered in a soft gray sweatshirt. His sweatshirt. She still wore the black jean skirt that she had been wearing at the party, and he saw her top and bra discarded on her dresser, meaning that she was completely bare underneath his sweatshirt. Luke felt his dick twitch in his pants and had to shake the thought from his mind before things got out of hand.
He took a shaky breath and ran a hand through his dark curls before he spoke. "Listen, y/n/n, I'm really sorry about being a complete dick the last few days and for ignoring you. I was just going through some stuff and I didn't want to upset you or lose you as a friend so I thought if I ignored you until I could figure out how to get over it, things would be better."
Y/n didn't say anything as she waited for him to continue.
"It turns out," he took a deep breath, "I can't get over it, and I don't think I want to."
"What are you talking about?" She took a few steps until the distance between them closed, and she cupped his face in her soft hands, forcing him to look at her. "Why would you even think you could lose me as a friend?" Her eyes darted between his, but his were focused solely on her lips.
"Because I don't want to be just friends with you," Luke whispered before he closed the distance between them, his lips grazing hers. "Tell me to stop."
Y/n shook her head and tangled her fingers in his dark curls. "I can't," she said. And then she pulled his lips down to crash against her own.
Luke reacted immediately, his hands falling to her waist, pulling her closer. The kiss was messy and uncoordinated, all teeth and tongues as they finally let themselves feel everything they had been holding back. When Luke swept his tongue along her lips, she moaned into his mouth and tugged his curls, eliciting a deep groan from Luke. Eventually, the two ran out of breath and had to pull back, their chests heaving from the lack of oxygen.
"Is this why you've been ignoring me?" she asked against his lips, wanting to taste his mouth on hers again, but not before she got her answer.
Luke smirked and shrugged. "Well, that and I've been having some pretty intense dreams."
Y/n pulled back, brows raised, and Luke's heart dropped for half a second before she smiled up at him through her long lashes. "About?"
Luke tightened his grip on her hips and dragged her closer and she gasped at the feeling of his hard length pressed against her hip. "Mind if I just show you?"
When she nodded, Luke didn't waist a second hoisting her up, her legs instantly snapping around his waist and his hands falling lower to cup her ass. He carried her to her bed, laying her down before kissing her with a bit more coordination than before. He slotted himself between her open thighs, rutting into her gently causing a breathy moan to fall from her perfect lips.
Y/n didn't waste any time ridding him of his shirt, throwing it down to the floor and allowed her hands and eyes to wander down the expanse of his toned chest and abdomen. It wasn't like she had never seen Luke shirtless before, having patched him up more times than she could count, but this seemed more personal like he was willing to let her see and have every part of him.
Luke's own hands wandered up the front of her sweatshirt that she had stolen from him so many months ago, travelling higher and higher until his hand came into contact with her bare breast. He took it in his hand, kneading and squeezing before rolling her soft nipple into a firm peak.
Y/n smirked and dropped her hands to pull the material over her head, growing more confident than ever as she watch Luke swallow, his Adam's apple bobbing with the motion. She leaned up ever so slightly and placed a soft kiss against his throat, causing him to groan and drop his head down to lay between her breasts, his soft curls tickling her sternum.
"The feeling is mutual." She whispered into the air between them, kicking herself for not coming up with anything better to say.
Luke lifted his head, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "'The feeling is mutual'? That's all?"
Y/n rolled her eyes and lifted her hips to push her core against the bulge straining in his pants. "Shut up and fuck me."
"Yes, ma'am." He smirked against her lips before dragging his body off the bed and standing at the edge.
Y/n looked confused before Luke quickly shed his pants, leaving him in just his black boxers, before he grabbed her under her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the bed. He kneeled on the floor, ridding her of her skirt and panties in one fluid motion. He nearly let out a moan at the sight of her glistening cunt and used two fingers to swipe through her folds.
"Did I do this?" Luke asked with a smug grin. When she didn't answer, he slapping her ass, making her jolt and throw her head back with a moan. So she likes it rough? Noted. "I asked you a question."
"Yes." She answered breathlessly, her fingers tangling in the sheets with anticipation.
Luke didn't say another word before he brought his tongue down to her weeping cunt and licked a stripe all the way up to her clit with a flat tongue. Luke groaned at the taste before diving back in for more. She tasted so sweet and heavenly and Luke was absolutely certain the next time he had ambrosia, it would taste like her.
Y/n's moans filled the empty air as Luke devoured her like a man starved, dipping his tongue into her hole before moving higher to suck harshly on her swollen clit. Luke moved one of his hands from her thighs to push two fingers into her, noting how tightly she squeezed his fingers. He curled them upwards ever so slightly, feeling her hands fly to his hair instantly and tug harshly. He moaned around her clit, sending vibrations throughout her whole body.
"Shit," y/n moaned as her back arched off the mattress, "Luke, I'm so close."
Luke pulled away from her, fingers still working in and out of her, bringing her closer to the edge by the second. "Let go, baby. Cum for me."
Between his tongue, his fingers, and the fact he had called her baby, y/n let herself go, cumming with Luke's name tumbling from her kiss-bitten lips over and over again. Luke continued to lap at her, enjoying the sweet and tangy taste of her release on his tongue, until she was squirming and all but pushing him away from the overstimulation.
He got the message and sat back on his heels, enjoying the sight of her post-orgasm, hands still fisting the sheets as she watched him lick his fingers clean. He moaned around the digits, teasing her until she physically couldn't take it anymore.
Y/n sat up and grabbed hold of his camp necklace, pulling him to lay between her open legs once more before smashing her lips to his, tasting herself on his tongue. Luke smiled into the kiss when she bit down on his bottom lip and tugged.
"I want you," she spoke against him breathlessly, "to fuck me."
Luke pulled back, placing his hands on either side of her head to support himself. "Who taught you patience?" He joked, but groaned when her hand snaked down to palm him over his boxers.
Luke got the message and decided that he was done teasing her, for now. He shed his boxers quickly and quickly aligned himself with her dripping cunt. He rubbed his tip through her folds, collecting her arousal before looking up at her, searching for any signs of hesitation.
He got his answer when y/n smiled up at him softly and pulled his forehead down to rest against hers. She angled her hips up and his tip slipped in, elicting a moan from the both of them. Luke moved slowly, pushing in deeper, inch by agonizing inch. His breath caught in his throat and his mouth hung open when he was fully seated within her.
"Are you okay?" Luke asked softly.
Y/n nodded and rolled her hips against his, letting him know it was okay to move. Luke captured her lips with his before pulling out and thrusting back into her.
"F-fuck." He groaned against her mouth, thrusting into her again. "You're so fucking tight." He trailed his lips down her jaw, leaving kisses all the way down her neck until he reached the soft spot just behind her ear. He bit down on the soft skin there.
He was going torturously slow and while she loved that he was being so sweet and gentle, there would be time for that later. Right now she just wanted him to take her and fuck her into oblivion. This had been a long time coming and she was done with the soft, hesitant actions.
"Luke." She whimpered against his ear, her breath sending shivers down his spine.
"Hmm?" He groaned, too consumed by the feeling of her heat sucking him in.
"Fuck me harder."
Luke pulled back, not sure he had heard her correctly. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him. "What?"
Y/n wrapped her legs around his waist and spoke again. "Fuck. Me. Harder."
Luke didn't need to be told a third time once he was sure he wasn't imagining things. He grabbed her thigh and lifted it higher before driving into her. They both groaned at the new, deeper angle, sweaty chests heaving as they grew accustomed to the overwhelming sensation.
He set a new, harsher, faster pace, grinding his hips into hers to add to her pleasure. Y/n finally got what she wanted as he pounded into her already sensitive cunt. She bit her lip to try and contain her moans and Luke wasn't having it. On the off chance this was a one time thing, he wanted to hear just how good he was making her feel.
Luke pulled her lip from between her teeth, kissing her softly before saying, "Let me hear you. I want everyone in the whole camp to know how good I make you feel, that I'm the only one who can make you feel this good."
He pulled out and angled a particularly harsh thrust into her caused her to moan without a care for anyone that happened to pass by her cabin.
"Fuck, Luke, feels s-so good."
"That's it, baby, let them know who you belong to."
Y/n clenched around him and Luke could feel himself growing closer to the edge, but he would be damned if he didn't bring her to a second orgasm before he let himself go. He leaned back just enough to reach a hand between them, using his two middle fingers to rub at her bundle of nerves.
"Shit, just like that. I'm so close."
Luke would do just about anything to hear y/n praise him like that for the rest of his life. He could die tomorrow and he would be at peace with it now that he had heard the way his name sounded tumbling from his lips and the way her body reacted to his.
"Oh gods, I'm gonna—" with a hoarse cry, y/n reached her peak, clenching around Luke as her nails scratched at his back. She had probably drawn blood, but neither of them could find it in them to care at the moment.
Luke worked her through her orgasm, picking up his own pace as he chased his own high. With a few more calculated thrusts, Luke came with a low groan, biting down on the juncture between her shoulder and neck as he spilled inside her.
With a heavy sigh, Luke rolled off of her, reaching his arms out to pull her sweat soaked body into his. Y/n nuzzled her face into his neck and tangled her legs with his, breathing out a sigh of contentment.
Neither of them said a word until Luke finally caught his breath and asked, "So the feeling is mutual, huh?"
Luke's grin only grew when she slapped him on the chest. "Shut up."
"So if the feeling is so mutual," she glared at him, and he chuckled, holding his hands up in surrender. "Then why did you go to the party with James?"
Y/n sighed. "Well, my best friend, whom I really wanted to go with, was being a total dick."
Luke looked down at her apologetically. "So why didn't you tell him then?" he whispered.
"Because I've been in love with him since we were sixteen, but I didn't want to throw away our friendship in case he didnt like me back." She whispered back, finally laying it all out in the open.
"You know what I think?"
Y/n bit her lip nervously. "What do you think?"
Luke tilted her chin up to look at him, bringing his lips closer to hers as he said, "I think I'm an absolute moron for ever making you think that I don't love you the same way."

ethan landry x fem!reader
words: 3.2k
notes: idk if i like this 😭 not proofread so there might be some mistakes <3
Here's the corrected version of the text with grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary improvements:
There was no one in the world as oblivious as Ethan Landry when it came to girls. Seeing his roommate Chad get flooded with girls crushing on him really made him question whether he should step out of his shell or rather stay in it to save himself from the embarrassment of rejection. He was an attractive guy, at least that's what Chad kept reminding him, but he was such a mess when he had to strike up a conversation.
He'd tried once with you, the girl sitting next to him in economics, but you were so pretty to him that he ended up blabbering out that he needed to borrow a pen, when his purpose was to ask how your day had been. You were sweet, though; you offered him a small smile and the pen even though he had one sitting right next to his notebook. You didn't question it.
He tried not to overthink the small interaction, but he felt like some kind of force from the universe hated him because ever since that day, he'd been seeing you everywhere. Talking to his roommate, outside of campus, at the movies, the park—everywhere he went, he seemed to bump into you. You'd usually offer him a smile and a small wave, and he'd return it, trying to avoid Chad seeing him, because he knew he'd get made fun of if he was caught blushing because of a simple wave.
You had tried to make it obvious that you wanted to talk to him. It seemed odd how a boy so gorgeous could be looked past by so many people. He'd caught your eye the moment he sat next to you. He didn't even look your way at first, but as the teacher explained, you could feel him glance. It was adorable how he'd scratch the back of his head when he was solving a problem on his impressively neat notebook or when he bit his nails awaiting the teacher to notice he was having trouble with something he'd just explained.
Ethan wasn't dumb; everyone knew he was one of the few who understood economics. So when you reached out to the professor about needing tutoring, his name was quickly brought up. "Mr. Landry could help; you'd have to ask him, but I assume that will not be an issue as you already sit together in my classes."
Well, that wasn't as easy as the professor had made it sound. Four months into the year and only one conversation was had where he looked like he so badly wanted to stand up and run out before you even handed the pen to him. He was a fast walker, you realized, catching up to him as he made his way out of the building while keeping his head down looking at his phone and his free hand holding onto a strap of his backpack. "Ethan!" you called.
Once he heard his name from such an unfamiliar voice, he turned around, his backpack colliding with your cheek as he faced you. "Shit! I'm so sorry; I didn't see you. Are you okay?" he rambled, his cheeks going into a deep shade of red as he examined your face with a panicked look while you rubbed at your cheek. "I'm okay, I'm okay."
"Mr. Thompson told me to ask you for help in economics; I'm not really getting the hang of it."
His mouth twitched, and you weren't sure if it meant that he almost smiled or that he was extremely uncomfortable with the idea of tutoring. "You don't have to, of course. But since we sit together in class already…" He kept quiet, staring.
"Okay, I take that as a no. I'll ask someone else then. Thank you anyway," you smiled sweetly at him as you made a move to turn back, but his hand stopped you by grabbing your wrist and turning you around gently. "Sorry—yes. Yes, I'll tutor you." The blush on his cheeks had gone away a little, and the few freckles on his face stood out as you beamed at him with a grin. "Thank you, thank you, thank you."
He took your excitement as a huge step in his 'try to get closer to Y/N' plan that, well, wasn't really his plan; it was his roommate's. "When's the best for you?" he asked. You shrugged and fixed the strap of the bag that had slipped off of your shoulder. "I'm free most of the time, so whenever works for you is great."
He took a moment before nodding and checking his phone and looking back up to you. "Well, Chad isn't in our dorm; if you want to come by now, I could explain today's lesson, and we can get to the rest once I sort out my notes," Ethan offered, surprised at himself for inviting a girl to be alone with him in his own dorm room.
You found his nervousness endearing. On the way to the dorms, he'd kept glancing down at you as if he were making sure you were still there, and his hands were a little shaky as he tried to get his keys from his jean pockets. "It's a bit messy, I'm sorry," he looked embarrassed and he moved a few sweaters from his desk chair to the mattress. "You can sit here; do you want something to drink?" The boy pointed at the small fridge that sat across the room, and you shook your head before sitting where he'd just signaled.
Eventually, Chad came back into the dorm, and after a few teasing looks from him to Ethan, you took that as your cue to leave. "Thanks for explaining it to me, Ethan," you made a move to stand up, and he mirrored you, standing at the same time. "You're leaving?"
"Well… I assumed we were done," you pointed at his now closed notebook, and he nodded twice before meeting your eyes. "Yes. Yeah—that's everything that was explained today." He had gone back to the nervous, shaky self he had been at the start of the afternoon, and you couldn't help but wonder why his demeanor had changed so quickly. He'd eased up during the tutoring, and he seemed far more comfortable by then.
"Do you need me to walk you? It's kind of late," he suggested, and even though you'd wished for nothing else but to spend more time with him, you shook your head with a smile. "I'll be okay; thanks for today, though. I owe you." Ethan seemed to shy away as he offered a smile and reached his hand up as if he were to wave but stopped. "I'll let you know when I have my notes sorted so we can do this again."
He widened his eyes a bit at his own words and quickly covered, "-if you want." Looking up at him sweetly, you nodded and made your way out of the dorm room with a grin plastered on your face. Who knew he could be so adorable?
Weeks went by, and Ethan had gotten more and more comfortable around you. He'd look for you in hallways and even came up to you when you were with your friends or he was with his. His roommate, Chad, had stopped not being around during your tutoring lessons so you couldn't really get there yet. Chad was nice, but his presence kept stopping you from attempting to make a move, and it seemed like it was stopping Ethan as well.
After what seemed like years,
Chad was busy, and you were finally left alone with Ethan. Even if it was for tutoring, he seemed nervous when he opened the door at your text, his face flushed a bright shade of red and a beaming look on his face. There were at least three shirts of Ethan's laying on Chad's bed as if he'd changed a few times before deciding on the shirt he was wearing at that moment. "Hey."
"Hi, sorry if this was too sudden. Chad just left, and I didn't know if you'd feel comfortable with it being just us two," he cleared his throat as you rolled your eyes at his obvious overthinking and walked yourself in to sit on his bed, legs crossed one over the other. "Well, I like it being just you and me." Ethan could feel his ears burn at your comment, and he tried to look put together as he sat in front of you, his notebook on his lap.
"Are you going to the Halloween party this weekend?" you asked before he could get started with economics. "Uh… I think so, yeah." You smiled, and he suddenly felt way more at ease knowing that you wanted him to go. "What will you be dressed as?"
"I don't know yet. Chad said something about wanting to be a cowboy, but I hate most costumes I've seen in shops," he shrugged, biting his lip anxiously as he pretended to read his handwriting to hide his nerves. "I was thinking of going as Anakin," you chirped.
His eyes shot up to look at you, and he raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Skywalker?" You made a face. "Duh! He's so cool, and it's so easy to find costumes of him since no one else is going to wear them because—let's be honest—they're scared of looking geeky. But that's the fun of Halloween." Ethan felt like all those negative thoughts had left his head the moment you mentioned what seemed to be your nerdy secret. "Chad said I should do a knight but suggested I craft it since it's last minute."
"Oh my god!" you exclaimed, reaching to hold onto his hands as he gripped the notebook. "I could help you; you'd look so cute as a knight." He was going to throw up, surely; his stomach felt like it had flipped over at the thought of you wanting to spend time with him outside of tutoring, and even though you'd gotten a lot closer, he didn't feel like you guys had gotten to the hanging out point.
"Would you?" he asked, his eyes lit up. "Of course! Put that away; we'll start right now!" Just as you finished your sentence, Ethan stood excited and reached into his closet to pull out a big piece of cardboard. "I suck at this; I sure hope you have some hidden artsy talent."
You proudly held up the pencil and let your silence answer his own question as he read instructions he'd found on the internet for you to follow. If he was asked, he'd say he helped, but truly all he did was 'sit back and look pretty' as you'd told him to do while you did the work after he accidentally messed up painting the helmet and freaked out.
Once finished, you begged for him to try it on. "Come on! Just to see if it fits." He hid his face in his hands, groaning. "Oh my god, Y/N. This is embarrassing." He let you fit the boxy costume around him, and you put the cardboard helmet on his head before knocking on it with a proud look on your face. "See? Talent."
"Can I take it off now?" Ethan felt like his cheeks were going to explode as you stared at him with a grin, and he struggled to pull off the costume. "Will you go with Chad? Or do you want me to come get you?" He looked at you like he'd just seen a ghost. "Get me?"
"Like—pick you up." He mouthed an 'oh' and shrugged. "I think Chad will want to go together." He moved the notebook to his desk and stared at it for a few seconds, as if thinking when to actually tutor you.
"Great. I'll see you there, then." Before he could answer, you reached up on your tiptoes to plant a kiss on his cheek and softly smack it before turning back and, with a quiet 'bye,' closing the door behind you, leaving Ethan dumbfounded and with a tingly feeling on his chest.
"Couldn't you add Velcro on this or something?" Chad complained for the fifth time as he attempted to help Ethan put on the costume. "I didn't think putting it on by myself would be so hard," he admitted, and Chad smirked.
"Who put it on you when you tried it on?"
"No one, just—help me." Chad pretended to believe that Ethan had managed to make the costume himself, and once they'd finally put it on, they made their way to the party.
Ethan wasn't a party guy, so standing by the door the whole time was his plan for the night, but his roommate refused to let him bore himself to death. As Ethan mimicked Chad's dancing in an attempt to 'just feel the music,' as he'd quoted, you and your friend walked in, bumping into him. "Sorry."
At his apology, you smiled softly and reached to fix his helmet. "Mighty knight," you greeted, moving the cape to the side to show him the plastic lightsaber you'd stolen from one of your friends. "Anakin," he mirrored.
"I'm leaving or I'll vomit," Chad fake gagged while he walked away, waving the two of you off as your friend took her cue to also go. "Did you just get here?" you asked, and the boy shook his head. "Like half an hour ago." He looked horrified at the scenery of the party, hearing a fight break out in the kitchen between two guys who wanted the same drink. "Wanna go on a walk or something?"
You took him leaving his water-filled cup on one of the tables as a yes, so when he came back to where you stood, you didn't hesitate to hold his hand and pull him through the door. "Parties aren't my thing," he said. "What is your thing?"
"Sleeping?"
"Fair enough, mine's napping."
"What? So… sleeping?" he stopped his tracks once he saw a bench near the house party, he watched you sit down and looked down at his chest in confusion. "No way! Naps are so much better than a night's sleep." He tilted his head in amusement as you rambled. "Or… you could just wait until it's bedtime."
"You just haven't tried to nap. It's the best thing ever. You're missing out, Ethan. You know I hate my friends missing out on fun stuff," he rolled his eyes. "I wouldn't call napping fun."
"Well—maybe sleeping isn't your thing."
"Maybe it isn't."
You both fell quiet, and Ethan counted to five before trying to get the chest piece off, but he failed. "How'd you even manage to get this on me?" he asked, lifting his arms a bit so you could help him. "Ethan, there's some Velcro here," you pointed to the side of his torso,
and he suddenly felt a little dumb, which he was sure was a feeling he would share with Chad, who could also not find the Velcro. "Oh."
You laughed, feeling him stare down at you as you helped him anyway. Finally being able to sit down, he reached for your forearm and softly tugged you to sit next to him. "I love it, besides how uncomfortable it is to sit with." He'd kept the helmet on, and you reached to take it off and fix his hair, which had gotten messier because of the costume. "Beauty is pain," you sighed, dramatically ruffling his hair in an attempt to fix it back to how it usually was.
"You don't seem to be in pain," he said, quickly covering his eyes. "Fuck—that was so bad; pretend I never said that—oh god." You broke into a fit of laughter at his shitty line and the immediate regret. "I'm sorry," he mumbled more to himself than to you as he rested his elbows on his knees and his hands in his hair. "It was sweet," you held back a laugh.
"Don't lie."
"Okay. That was horrible, Ethan. Is that how you pick up girls?" he could sense your smile through your voice, and he exaggerated a sigh as he sat back, arm spread on the bench's backrest, near your shoulders. "No, I usually let them craft me a Halloween costume."
"Eh, look at you! Are you drunk? You're flirty tonight."
"I did a shot with Chad but spit it out immediately. Does that count?" he made a face at the reminder of the taste, and you couldn't help but admire the way his face scrunched up so incredibly adorable. "Sure, it does."
"If you'd told me you wanted to go as Anakin earlier, I would've gone for Obi Wan," he admitted, reaching to play with the hem of your cloak. "Maybe next time," you shrug. "You'd repeat a costume?" he fake gasped, moving his hand up to his chest; you mirrored him. "If we're going to dress up together, I will." Ethan put his hand out for you to shake, and you happily took it. Neither of you wanted to let go, so you let the linked hands fall onto your lap.
"To be fair, the lightsaber isn't even mine, and I think I broke it," he broke out a laugh and covered his mouth at your glare. "It fell."
"Sure, sure," he waved you off with his free hand, and you wondered if he was thinking about your held hands as much as you were. "Ethan," you said, tightening your hold. "Yes?"
How does one tell a guy they want to kiss him?
Taking a slow breath in, you asked, "We've known each other for a while, haven't we?" Ethan looked taken aback by your question, thinking for a few seconds. "Uh… yes."
"Are you ever going to kiss me?"
Ethan was so grateful for the dimmed street lights because if you were to see the shade of his face and neck at that moment, you'd think he was having a stroke. "Yeah, yes. Yes, I will," he managed out.
You hummed, moving in closer to him, practically leaning in. He took a few seconds to process this, but once he let himself take over, he leaned closer and closer until he could clasp his hand on your cheek, pulling you in to kiss you. Your hands moved up to his chest, feeling his heart speed as fast as yours, and one of your hands tangled in his previously messy hair while he took ahold of the back of your neck.
Pulling back for air, Ethan panted out a smile so close to your mouth that you could feel it form on your own lips. "Maybe kissing is your thing."
He hummed, leaning in to press a short kiss onto your lips again. "Maybe."

Masterlist
November 4th. The day Josepth Andrew Starkey entered the world thirty years ago. Drew doesn’t like to do anything big for his birthdays. He prefers to spend the day with his family rather than partying in a crowded club with annoying drunks, but for this milestone birthday, his family had other ideas. His daughter wants to make a big deal out of her father’s birthday and has helped her pregnant mother plan a surprise party for him. This has been kept from the man up until the morning of his birthday. Y/N is up earlier than expected because of the tiny kicks the human growing in her uterus is giving her. Her rolling back into bed in a struggle pulls Drew from his dreams of his wife and daughter. “Is mini-me giving you a hard time again?” he whispers, bringing her back into his hold. She nods against his chest, “Yes, the little bugger seems to think my bladder is a kickstand.” Drew gives a small chuckle, pressing a kiss to her forehead and then her stomach. “I’m sorry, Sweetheart. You only have three more months,” he reassures, rubbing her belly to help soothe her. Her hand finds his, “It’s okay. It will all be worth it in the end. Happy Birthday, my love.”
She leans over her stomach and kisses him on the lips. He smiles in the kiss, “Thank you. Ugh, I can’t believe I’m thirty. I’m so old.” “No, you aren’t! You are young at heart, love. Just yesterday you were eating an Uncrustable and colouring in a book,” she giggles. The image of yesterday comes to his mind, “I was only doing that because Millie wanted me to do those things with her. Speaking of Millie, what time did you guys go to bed? I swear I felt like I heard you guys up pretty late last night.” In her tiredness and pregnancy fog, Y/N lets the secret slip out of her mouth. “She went to bed at twelve and I was in bed by four I think. I was going over everything for your surprise party so it took me some time because I kept getting hungry and needing to pee.” Her eyes rival the size of the moon when she realizes what she has done, her hand finding way over her mouth.
Drew chuckles as he processes the words and tries to end her endless apologies, “It’s okay, Sweetheart. You didn’t mean to. You were up late and have a lot on your mind.” “Right. Well, you have to act surprised at the party. Millie is so excited to surprise you; it would crush her if she knew I spoiled it,” Y/N warns, looking him directly in the eye to make sure her point is getting across. Drew gives her a nod, “Got it. I’ll be so surprised that it’s almost like I act for a living.” Y/N giggles at his joke and her smile grows at the pitter-patter of their three-year-old’s footsteps.
——
Millie shooed her father out of the house right after lunch, sending him with a laundry list of things he needed to do before he got home. As he drove around doing the chores, his heart would warm every time he looked at the non-sensical scribbles that were his daughter's “writing”, which had a translation written by Y/N beside each scribble. Even if he didn’t know about the party, he knew he would gladly do these errands for his girls on his birthday because all he could ever want was to take care of them.
His hand meets his front door and he takes a second to get into character, almost like he is on set. The handle is pushed down to reveal a dark room, which is suddenly set alight with the screams of ‘surprise’ by his family and friends. He lets his shock show on his face, both hands covering the o-shape of his mouth. “Wow, this is amazing. Thank you guys so much,” he thanks the crowd, looking around for his girls. It isn’t long before Millie is running into her father’s arms. “Happy Birthday, Daddy,” she greets him, letting herself be picked up into the air by the older man. He gives her a massive grin, assaulting her cheek with multiple kisses and thanks. “Daddy, your moustache is tickling me,” she complains with joy in her voice. He pulls away, letting the hand not holding up his daughter adjust the dad hat on his head, “I’m sorry, Baby. Maybe Daddy should get rid of his moustache.”
“No! Mommy likes it. But Daddy… Were you surprised by my party?”
“Yes, I was, Baby. I was so surprised. I love it so much.”
She looks at him in disbelief, “You are lying! You weren’t surprised.” Drew doesn’t know how his acting doesn’t seem to fool his daughter. “No, I’m not. Daddy really was surprised by the party,” he promises, starting to bounce the girl, who is about to cry. “Okay, maybe Mommy accidentally told Daddy, but it’s okay. Daddy still doesn’t know what you have planned for me.” This causes the girl to pause her cries, “Can we have cake now? I want you to see the cake.” Wanting her smile to return to her face, he nods his head, booming to his party guest that it is time for cake. Nobody objects that the cake is being served before dinner or other party activities. Instead, they all gather around the kitchen table and begin to sing the famous song. “Happy Birthday dear Daddy! Happy Birthday to you.” Millie’s loud singing is the one mainly invading his senses. Maybe because of her proximity to him with her being on his lap or maybe because his focus is mainly on her. “Make a wish, Daddy,” she orders. He obeys, blowing on the candles in the form of a thirty.
“What did you wish for?” she questions. Her eyes bore into his with curiosity. He is about to tell her when Y/N speaks up, “If Daddy tells you, Millie, it won’t come true.” Drew shakes his head, smiling down at his daughter. “It’s okay, my wish is already coming true so it can’t hurt to tell. I wished for more happy days with you and Mommy and everyone else that I love.” The crowd awes at how adorable his words are. “And the baby?” Millie clarifies with concern that her father forgot her baby brother or sister. He nods, “And you baby sibling.” He gives her a kiss on the forehead, allowing her to help him with cutting the cake.

summary: you've had a crush on sunwoo for years, but what happens when he blurs the lines of your friendship?
content: ftl, slightest angst but it's over in 4 seconds, happy ending, female reader. nonidol!sunwoo nonidol! reader
wc: 5.3k
an: this took me a bit to finish and it’s my first full length, i hope you enjoy!! let’s talk about it too~
do not repost or rework/copy any of my posts here or on other sites
The wind bit your cheeks as you hurried your steps towards the apartment complex ahead of you. It was nearing 9 p.m. but Sunwoo had called you an hour earlier asking if you could come through for some drinks and games with a few of the guys. In that very short time you had retouched your makeup and gone through four outfits before deciding on a hoodie and sweatpants Sunwoo had given to you because they were “too small” for him. Maybe it was poor taste to wear his old clothes to his house but honestly, they were comfortable and- you might have been completely head over heels for your friend, no big deal.
Lost in thought, you were almost surprised when you looked up and realized you had already reached the sleek, silver door and raised your hand to knock. Sunwoo had given you the passcode months ago when he was too busy gaming to get up and let you in, but you hadn’t used it since because it felt like you were overstepping some kind of boundary. Of course, that never stopped him from breaking and entering your home on various occasions, always scaring the hell out of you but you could never stay mad at him long.
Before long, Younghoon opened the door for you with a bright smile.
“Oh hey, we thought you were the food delivery”
“No,” you replied, matching his smile. “Sorry to be a disappointment. Who all ended up coming? Sunwoo said he invited everyone.”
“Chanhee and Changmin are home, Juyeon and Jacob and Kevin came. No one is really drinking yet. Maybe they’re waiting for you.” He said with a laugh.
You left your shoes at the door and walked down the hall with Younghoon trailing behind you into a very raucous living room. Everyone was so wrapped up in their own conversations and you were such a familiar face, your presence almost went unnoticed. Of course, Sunwoo was the first face you saw (well actually the first back-of-a-head), but before you could greet him you tripped on Kevin’s outstretched foot.
“Oops, sorry Y/N, is the food here?”
“No Kev, that was me at the door.” You said with a playful roll of your eyes.
At the sound of your voice, Sunwoo perked up and walked over to you with his arms wide open.
“Oh look everyone, it’s my mini me!!”
The sudden attention on you made your cheeks burn and it only got worse when Sunwoo’s taller, lithe frame wrapped around yours. You lagged a bit but snapped to and gently patted his back. He pulled away but stopped when his face was near your ear.
“Are you wearing perfume? It smells nice. Come sit with me, we’re gonna play a game soon.”
Suddenly feeling faint, you were glad to follow him to the couch and sit down. This was going to be a long night.
Later into the night after your bellies were full of food and too much alcohol, you thought you might have entered into some hellish realm.
Sunwoo had been glued to you all night, keeping his arm on the couch behind you and hitting your shoulder or your leg when he laughed a little too hard. To make things exponentially worse, he kept leaning down to whisper side comments to you, his hot breath hitting your cheek a detriment to your sanity. While physical affection between you and any of your friends wasn’t uncommon, something seemed different tonight that you couldn’t quite put your finger on.
The only natural course of action was to keep drinking.
After another hour you were definitely more than tipsy thanks to two rounds of ‘Never Have I Ever’ and an even a special game of ‘Truth or Truth’ (thank you Kevin!). There was some respite when Changmin asked you to get him some water from the kitchen. You enjoyed being with your friends of course but Sunwoo’s proximity tonight was becoming unbearable. You knew he didn’t mean anything by it other than friendly affection, and yet, you could help fantasizing about a day where he made an actual move on you.
The cup of water you were filling spilled over your hand just as Changmin and Chanhee called your name-sounding a bit more like geese than tipsy boys. Taking a deep breath, you decided you couldn’t hide in the kitchen forever. You dragged your feet back to the living room and carefully handed Changmin his water.
“Did I look extra thirsty or something? Why the hell is it so full?”
“Be grateful.” You grumbled.
He ignored your attitude and sipped it anyways.
You plopped onto the couch and instantly an unnaturally warm pair of arms were around you.
It was Sunwoo, hugging you for no good reason that you could come up with. He squeezed you once then pulled away and grinned at you, making your face heat up more than the KGBs he had provided for the occasion. It was almost enraging that no one seemed to notice that you were about to become undone, this was practically abuse. Finding your voice, and sounding more coherent than you felt, you asked him,
“What was that for??”
“You were just so cute! I couldn’t help it.” He let go of you, putting his arm back behind you leaving your mind in shambles.
He couldn’t help it? What the hell was that supposed to mean? He had bragged earlier that his alcohol tolerance had gone up, but that seemed to be a lie because why else would he have been so careless?
You spent the next couple of hours trying not to fall asleep which was relatively easy considering how loud the boys still were at such a time of night. Eventually Sunwoo took note of your state and patted your leg.
“Are you tired?”
You nodded and rubbed your eyes. “Yeah, I better start walking home.”
Horrified was the only way to describe the look on his face. “Walk home?! It’s way too late and I can’t come with you, too cold. Just go sleep in my room I’ll come soon, I doubt the guys will stay much longer.”
You debated this. It would not be the first time you had spent the night together, but usually he slept on the floor or the couch. Now he was implying joining you and that was just ridiculous.
“Oh, it’s ok, I don’t have any of my products with me…”
Chanhee, who had apparently been eavesdropping, chimed in from the floor with his eyes closed. “You can borrow my makeup remover and skincare.”
Sunwoo beamed at this. “See? You already have a toothbrush here, just go lay down please, you look pitiful.”
You hesitated. This would most likely create 1000 more problems for you and your feelings for Sunwoo. The worst part of it was, you couldn’t tell where he was coming from. Was he being a kind friend or did he have some sort of hidden agenda? You knew him well enough to know he wasn’t a player, so it didn’t make sense for him to be doing anything unkind to you, and yet…Whatever. It was too late to care anymore.
After bidding everyone a good night (with many whines in return), you stumbled down the hall to the bathroom to get ready for bed. You examined your drunken reflection, sighing as you swiped away your smudged mascara. What did you get yourself into?
After cleansing and moisturizing, you found your way to Sunwoo’s room. There was practically only room for a bed- a small one at that- and you found yourself wondering if you even wanted him to sleep with you or not. While it would be everything you imagined before sleeping pretty much every night, it would haunt you forever if he meant nothing by it.
You were tired, but as you laid there in his bed with his scent permeating everything, anticipating him coming in to do… whatever it was he planned to do, you found yourself tossing and turning. Honestly, you wanted to cry. Maybe it was the alcohol, but you were suddenly overwhelmed by your emotions and anxiety that had built up over the night. Going home wasn’t an option, so you sighed, accepting your fate and tried to sleep.
After what seemed like ten hours, Sunwoo finally cracked open the door, probably thinking you were asleep. He shuffled his way to his dresser and you peeked your eyes open then tried to avert them away from him taking his hoodie off. Before he turned around, you quickly shut your eyes and turned over. You heard him sigh behind you and felt the bed slowly dip with his weight. He adjusted the blanket over you and dragged his hand across your side before bringing his arm back to his chest. The distance between you (or lack thereof) was killing you. Regardless, you tried to control your breathing so as not to give away that you were still very much awake. The spot he had touched felt as though he had electrocuted you. It was heartache.
After a bit, you heard his breath even out and could tell he was asleep. You gathered the courage to turn around and face him.
You’d always thought he looked a little goofy when he slept, mouth slightly open, bangs messy. But tonight, you felt the weight of your heart.
His hair’s grown out you thought absentmindedly, reaching up to move a strand out of his eyes. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed and his full lips were pursed against the pillow. Before you could help it, tears sprang to your eyes. There was not much longer you could go without confessing, or distancing yourself. This was just too much to bear. However, the thought of confessing brought on another wave of anxiety thinking about your friendship ending if he didn’t feel the same.
He had been with you since high school, had stuck by you in all your hard times as well as the good ones, consoled you after breakups; you were intertwined. You had always heard men and women can’t be friends and thought you two were the sole exception. That was, until your freshman year of college.
You remembered that time not too fondly. Keeping up with classes and assignments was stressful, but you had Sunwoo who thankfully got accepted to your same university. He was busy on the school’s soccer team but had always made time for you, bringing you coffee on your study dates, cheering you up on your rough days, it meant everything to you. Around winter break, while you two studied for finals (which usually meant him watching YouTube while you studied alone), he confessed he had a crush on a girl in one of his classes and asked you for advice on how to ask for her number. You both had had crushes in high school and it never bothered you when he would talk to other girls, but this time had been different. What had changed in you?
You thought it would be a small fling but they ended up dating for a year. It was agonizing watching him put his everything into someone else. She never liked you, complaining you and Sunwoo were too close. He tried to keep in touch with you but you saw much less of him than you had in the four years of knowing him.
Eventually she cheated on him. You remembered the dark circles under his eyes when he had knocked on your door the day they broke up. He didn’t say anything, just hugged you and sobbed into your shoulder. In all the time you had known him he had never cried in front of you, it infuriated you to think he had given his heart to someone so careless and vile. You never forgot the way he looked at you when he retold his last conversation with his ex.
“She told me it didn’t matter that she cheated, because my heart was with someone else the whole time. I think she meant you.”
You knew it wasn’t his intention to blame you, but you carried the guilt for months. Not guilty of her parting words and their implication, but guilt in the satisfaction you had for being so important to him. So much so that you were a threat to other women interested in him. It was a sick “If I can’t have him, no one can” mentality and you knew it wasn’t fair to him so for the next few years you resigned yourself to the loyal best friend role.
When you tried to branch out and pursue other guys, Sunwoo was always supportive. When things didn’t work out with other prospects- often because you wouldn’t cut off Sunwoo when they asked- he always ruffled your hair and sighed.
“At least we have each other, right?”
Shaking yourself out of your thoughts, you rolled to stare at the ceiling.
You didn’t remember falling asleep but you woke up abruptly and in an odd position.
Then you realized you were being held tightly against Sunwoo. Somehow in the night he had moved his arm under your pillow and had his other arm tucked against your waist, his forehead pressed against the back of your neck.
What the absolute hell?
This was too far for you, still it felt so nice- and natural, as if you were meant to fit together like this forever. This was everything you had dreamed of for years (albeit under different circumstances). Clearly, he did this in his sleep, so you decided to get up before he woke up too and got embarrassed.
You carefully lifted his arm off you and crawled to the end of the bed. He looked so adorable like this, you almost wanted to take a picture before realizing you never wanted to remember this day again.
Tiptoeing your way down the hall, you hoped everyone was still asleep like Kevin who was snoring on the couch. Just as you were about to walk past Chanhee’s room, he opened the door, making you jump
“You scared me Chanhee!” you sharply whispered.
“You scared ME. Why are you up so early?”
You checked the time on your phone: 8:12 a.m.
“I’m starting to get a headache. I need some hangover soup. And coffee. ASAP.” You groggily replied, voice still hoarse from just waking up.
“I thought we could order it and eat together? Why are you in such a rush?” He questioned you.
“Um, I have some errands to run. Sorry, I’ll text you!” To be fair, you did have errands and the first one was to get away from this house.
“Did something happen?” Chanhee was always good at reading you, but now it was starting to feel like an interrogation.
“Nope!” you lied, “I’ll text you!”
Before he could say anything else, you brushed past him and quickly put your shoes on, feeling like you couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
The following days were not fun to say the least. The afternoon after you left, Sunwoo and Chanhee texted you multiple times throughout the day to ask if you were alright (Chanhee was a bit excessive). You insisted to them that you were just busy – which was true, you were busy avoiding Sunwoo, rotting in bed, suffering from mental anguish, etc. etc.
The next day, Sunwoo asked if you wanted to go to lunch with him and Hyunjae. While any other day you would’ve gone without hesitation, just the thought of Sunwoo was torturous, and so you politely declined with another excuse. Maybe it would’ve been better if he stopped trying, and you might’ve wished for it. But you knew that if he did, you would be the first person to cry themselves to death. It was a pretty wretched situation that you had put yourself in. This could easily be resolved if you just talked to him, but the idea was simply too terrifying. You had never been good at expressing your emotions out of fear of causing conflict, but this was different.
You realized you were in love with him. There was no going back and you were terrified.
After a week you were invited out with the group- and you decided you’d had enough crying and worrying. Sunwoo’s texts had dwindled to radio silence once he got sick of your dry replies. You didn’t know how you could show your face, but either way you just had to suck it up, meet your friends and put your feelings aside for Sunwoo’s sake.
This was easier said than done as you contemplated cancelling at least six times in the hour it took you to get ready. It was just barbecue and drinks, it was supposed to be fun. Maybe it would be but you didn’t know what to expect from Sunwoo. Would he be mad? Or act like nothing was wrong when it clearly was? You supposed there was only one way to find out.
When you got to the restaurant you spotted Chanhee first with an empty seat beside him.
“Is anyone sitting here?” You asked timidly.
“Oh hi, no I saved the seat for you.”
Something about his tone seemed off and made the sinking feeling in your gut feel ten times heavier. You looked around the table, greeting everyone and it didn’t take long for you to notice the absence in the group.
“Is Sunwoo in the bathroom or something?” you whispered to Chanhee.
“No, I don’t think he’s coming, he thinks you hate him.” His response was rather curt and made you feel like the walls were closing in around you.
“Oh…” was all you could muster.
“Do you? Hate him I mean. It seemed like whatever happened when you stayed the night completely made you stay away from him- and all of us.”
Awesome. So not only had you burnt the bridge between you and the only man you’ve ever loved, but you had also pushed away all of your closest friends too.
Hyunjae abruptly interrupted your thoughts. “Where’s Sunwoo? I thought he’d be anywhere you would be.” He looked at you so innocently, which relieved you. At least no one else knew something was up.
“Oh I … I’m not sure… I-“
“Hey what did I miss?” the familiar voice startled you at first, then sent an instinctual calmness through you.
You turned and looked at Sunwoo, trying to express your pain, your guilt. He didn’t even glance at you.
It stung and it took everything in you not to get up and walk out. But you stayed in your seat so you didn’t make a scene.
You spent the evening in silence, only speaking when spoken to and, to your dismay, Sunwoo seemed to be doing the same. After a while, you finally made eye contact for a split second and felt your eyes prick with tears. Excusing yourself to the bathroom, you could barely make it there without breaking down. This was not the time or the place to be having a meltdown. Seeing him in front of you brought all the feelings you had tried to repress to the surface and it was too much.
After calming down a bit and erasing your tear tracks as best as you could, you returned to the table. Leaning down, you whispered in Chanhee’s ear that you weren’t feeling well and were going home. Younghoon had lost rock paper scissors and was paying, so there was no reason you couldn’t leave.
You hurried out of the building and paused outside, breathing in the crisp air. Hailing a taxi, you finally let everything spill over, probably making the driver extremely uncomfortable but you couldn’t really be bothered to care.
What were you going to do?
You reached home exhausted beyond belief. At least you’d gotten a meal, you thought dejectedly. Unfortunately, there was no plan for what you’d do when you got home. Any more crying seemed like a one-way ticket to Drowningville, but your mind still ran rampant. You could call one of your girlfriends, Mia knew about your crush and had consoled you through the last couple of years. But just as you picked up your phone, someone knocked on your door.
This was unusual. But then, it could be someone from your building management.
You weren’t stupid, you stood on the balls of your feet to look through the peephole and the sight in front of you made your breath catch.
It was him.
He reached up to knock again so you quickly unlocked and opened the door without thinking any further.
Both of you were breathing heavily, your eyes rimmed red and his stare intense.
He spoke first.
“Can I come in?”
You opened the door wordlessly, not really by choice, you were completely caught off guard.
Feeling the tears pooling again, you cursed yourself for being so weak and looked down at your feet. Suddenly, he cupped your cheeks in his hands, forcing you to look at him.
“What is wrong? What did I do? Everything was fine and then it wasn’t. I want my Y/N back.”
His whole expression was pleading and you felt so selfish for running away from your problems again.
“Do you want the whole truth, or the nice version?” You knew he wouldn’t, but you hoped he’d choose the latter option so you could white lie your way out of this situation. He let go of your face to tug your hair lightly and rested his hands on your shoulders.
“What do you think?”
“Ok fine.” You huffed. “I got freaked out the other night when I slept in your room. It just felt… like we were crossing lines and I know I’m being dramatic because it was just cuddling but it’s different for me. I shouldn’t have run away and I feel really bad about blowing off the rest of the guys, but you especially. You know you’re my closest …friend and I didn’t want to lose you but I didn’t know what to do because like I said-“
You suddenly stopped because he dropped his hands from your shoulders and looked away. Honestly, he looked pissed.
Nice, you thought I’ve ruined everything and I haven’t even told him I liked him yet. How much worse could this night get?
“Y/N.”
“Y-yes?”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to confuse you.”
“I know, we’re friends”
“We’re friends… but when you say it’s different for you, what exactly do you mean?”
Now you were starting to sweat, noticing the way he held back a smile. Was he going to make you spell it out like some kind of sadist?
“I mean…It means more to me than just that kind of skinship. Especially when I…”
“When you what?” Now he was smirking and it was starting to anger you.
“Sunwoo…”
“We’ll leave it for tonight. As long as I know you’re not mad at me.”
“I’m not mad at you I just-“
He pulled you into his arms, his hoodie had faint remnants of his cologne and you wrapped your arms around his waist as he rested his chin on top of your head. His chest rose with a deep inhale and then just as quickly as he grabbed you, he let you go. Out of the corner of your eye you noticed him clenching his fist, he turned to you with a lopsided smile.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“What if I was busy?”
“I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Y/N.”
Waking up feeling more rested than you had in a while, your mind wandered to last night. After Sunwoo’s unceremonious appearance (and exit), you had showered in a daze and immediately knocked out into a dreamless sleep.
Now all you had to fear was his threat of seeing you today.
There was no warning or even a text to let you know when this man was ever deciding on showing up. It was only 10 a.m., Sunwoo usually got up after 11 so it could be any time really. Thankfully, you had some time off work for the holidays, so you relished in your leisurely time putting your face and clothes on. You went about your day as normal: eating, watching YouTube, online shopping. All lame distractions from what you were anticipating. It wasn’t until 5:30 when he texted you.
.sunwoo🦝 : if you’re not already ready - get to it, I’ll be over in 30
So pushy, you could only laugh to yourself. It was odd, you thought, how the trauma of the last week was erased by a simple conversation and a hug from Sunwoo. You supposed it had always been like this, pain followed by a soothing only he could provide. He was your confidant, your rock, your safety. Whatever happened tonight was ok with you as long as you could keep him in your life.
Soon enough you heard your door open from your bedroom so you went to greet him. He met you with a rather awkward smile and hands politely behind his back which threw you off- you had never been uncomfortable around each other. Your smile quickly dropped,
“What’s wrong?” you prodded.
“Nothing!” he tried to assuage you with a laugh that sounded a little shaky.
You narrowed your eyes before looking back at his arms hiding something behind his back.
“What are you holding? You’re starting to freak me out…” You might have to forward your medical bill to him the way he constantly had your blood pressure rising. You needed him to get on with whatever he made you wait all day for.
“Well, it’s… well.” He stopped talking and brought his hands forward holding out a bouquet of sunflowers, chamomile and dahlias. You stood there for a couple seconds not understanding what was going on. “These are for you. As an apology for upsetting you, and, well I had something to say…” He trailed off, “Are you just going to stand there like a statue all night? Don’t you have a vase or something to put these in? I don’t want them to die, you know I can’t take care of plants.”
Reaching forward, your fingers brushed his as you took the flowers and felt like you were buzzing. The sweet gesture completely left you dazed, still convinced something was up.
“These are… for me?” you asked a bit dumbly. Before he could reply, you turned to walk to the kitchen.
“Yes, I thought it would be- well I didn’t want to show up empty handed.” His eyes followed your figure to you opening a cabinet to grab a vase that was just out of your reach. Quickly making his way over to you, he stood behind you to grasp it from the shelf. Your breath caught and your heart thumped a little too loudly when you felt his hand lightly rest on your waist as he took the vase and set it on the counter. Thankfully, he moved out of the way for you to fill it with water and put in the flowers trying to regain control of your breathing. The arrangement brightened up the space and reminded you of him- bright and sweet and lovely. You couldn’t imagine him going into a flower shop and picking these out, much less picking them out for you. The thought was a little funny but not funny enough…
Bringing you out of your reverie he softly made his way to you again and leaned against the counter. “You’re so silent I don’t like it.”
“Sorry I just don’t understand…”
“I know,” he cut you off, “I just – I don’t know what I was thinking the other night. I’d blame it on the alcohol but really I was just being selfish. Things changed for me a while ago but I didn’t know to approach you. I always loved you but at some point, I started to realize just how much you mean to me. You’ve always taken care of me, cheered me on, been there for me. And then…when you went ghost on me, I panicked, I knew then I couldn’t live without you. I needed you to be mine, not as a best friend but as something more- I mean I feel so much more for you. I hoped you felt the same but I just couldn’t tell with the way you ran away from me. But then last night I felt like I was pressuring you to confess so I wanted to say it first. I like you, please give me a chance to take care of you. I want to be with you as long as you’ll let me.”
Throughout his monologue, you could barely hear him over your blood pumping in your ears and you felt a bit faint. This was everything you’ve wanted for over four years and it was finally coming true- you couldn’t believe this was real life. Your mind kept replaying him saying I’ve always loved you…
“Can you please say something.” He looked a little stern, but moved his hand gently to cup your cheek, stroking the skin there.
“Sunwoo…” He dropped his hand, looking at you with pleading eyes like he was anticipating your rejection. Grabbing his hand, you continued, “You must know how I feel, I’ve wanted you for so long. Please don’t tell me this is a joke.”
“I would never joke about this, you know I treasure your heart. I’ve always protected you. Even when you dated all those losers-“
“You dated losers too.”
“I know that. I couldn’t figure out why I was never satisfied, but I would always compare them to you and I chose our friendship every time.”
You could feel his sincerity and grabbed the fabric of his shirt at his thin waist.
“So… you really want to be with me?”
“More than anything.” He grabbed your face in his hands, just to look at you. It was so tender you wanted to cry. Again. Maybe there was something wrong with your tear ducts… Softly, he spoke up again.
“Can I kiss you? I’ve wanted to for so long.” All you could do was slowly nod and he stepped towards you, leaning down to kiss your forehead, then your temple, your cheek and finally pressed his lips against yours. You moved your hands to his shoulders, sliding them up to grab the hair at his nape, pressing him tighter against you. He kissed you twice more then moved to kiss your cheek again, squishing your face to purse your lips and kiss you again. You felt like you could black out as he ran his lips across your jawline, kissing just under your ear as he whispered an apology, finally pulling away.
Breathless, you replied “No need to apologize.” You moved your hands back to his shoulders, and tried not to look at his mouth, glossy from your lip balm and plump from his affections. As he ran his tongue over his lips and slightly smirked you thought,
He will be the death of me.
“Well…” trying to disperse the intense energy in the air you turned to look at the flowers again. “These are really pretty, thank you.”
“Well the lady at the shop helped a lot. Honestly I wanted to get you more gifts but I thought if you rejected me I would have to jump out of your window to escape the humiliation.”
Sighing, you faced him again.
“Honestly Sunwoo, how could you think I would ever reject you??”
“I don’t know!! Damn, I don’t know why it took me so long to admit my feelings. I always hated your boyfriends-“
“All two of them.” You reminded him with an eye roll.
“Ok well still. I hated all two of them.”
“How do you think I felt watching you dote on other girls? Being so affectionate, writing songs for them…”
“You were always my inspiration. It was easier to write about someone I had a deeper connection with and that was always you.”
“Well now I’m angry.” You pulled away and crossed your arms.
A look of panic washed over his face. “Angry with me already? We can’t start like this. Y/N, even though I didn’t see it quickly enough, we have so much time ahead of us.”
Looking at love itself, you pulled him in for another kiss.
You could never stay mad at him long.

My darling, honey pt 2 ; Jeon Wonwoo
part 1 is here!
You had been married to your teenage crush for three years and it was a wondrous journey added to the fact you just learned that you'd swallowed a watermelon seed.
Wonwoo was still working his ass off during the weekend and after he returned, you began preparing some light breakfast for him.
While he waited at the suffice dining table and stared at your back, he repeatedly expressed his regret as he was unable to spend the weekend together.
"It's fine. We have a lot of time together, don't dwell on it," you reassured albeit knowing he won't feel any better. Wonwoo became one with the silence and you were already used to it. He never spoke unless it was about you or something you asked for his opinion.
You finished with the cooking and he did the plating. Last night, he worked for only four hours but since he was called in the dawn, he felt sleepy quite a bit and you were the opposite.
As you both were eating, he looked at you oddly. You ceased to stop and raised an eyebrow, indicating your curiosity. "Are you done? Just leave the plate and go resume your sleep,"
Wonwoo shook his head and held your hand. Perhaps his palm was radiating so much warmth, you leaned forward in the coziness. "Hun, do you have something to tell me?" you asked.
Presented with ambivalence, Wonwoo took a minute to reply. He thought deeply before saying, "Don't you think I've been resting a lot these days?"
You could tell he was dourly asking. You have read it somewhere that if the husband loves his wife so dearly, he will experience early pregnancy fatigue rather than the wife. Thinking about how it related to his situation, you grinned.
Wonwoo smiled as if he was entranced by your reaction. He gave a gentle rub on your cheek and patted the back of your hand. He then told you to go upstairs and rest as he helped with the dishes.
You didn't refuse and went as he directed. There was nothing in your brain than the thought of how you should tell Wonwoo about your pregnancy.
While you pondered, he already completed the chore and got himself ready for the shower. Wonwoo looked bushed and you pitied him. After he came out from the wet, you beckoned him to the bed. Since he had changed his clothes inside, he didn't waste any time and ambled to you.
"I have something to tell you,"
Wonwoo hauled your whole body and answered. "Yes?" he was feeling cold and decreased the gap between your bodies. Seeing how comfy he appeared, on impulse, you straddled him and laid on top.
He took a different hint and whispered. "You want it?" Wonwoo asked with apparent lust. You let his hands explore your back but when he was getting dangerously near to your sensitive area, you grabbed his wrist and put a halt to it.
"We can't. Someone will see," you said. Attentively, Wonwoo kissed your neck and mumbled. "The outside? I'll draw the curtain," he sounded titillated and you honestly underestimated your own self-control. It was such a turn-on to see him inflamed but your conscience rushed in.
"No. Not outside but here," you brought his hand to your belly and reposed. Wonwoo didn't quite catch the periphrastic way you were telling but once he realized, the sparkling bright eyes shone even more brilliantly.
"Is it what I think it is?" he asked softly, almost audible. His palm smoothed around your belly and he looked at it. Wonwoo didn't need to ask twice as you clarified his question in a single nod.
You and Wonwoo had waited for 3 years and were confronted with many thrown doubts regarding your fertility. It wasn't something anyone can forget and take it lightly and so you began seeing specialists every few months to check on your body.
At first, Wonwoo did argue with you about it and at one point, you gave him a cold shoulder for a week. He wasn't easy to be persuaded but one day, he followed you for your regular check-up. On the way back, you requested to ride the bus instead. You two came by taxi and Wonwoo has no problem granting your wish.
After you picked your seat, Wonwoo got to his and sat quietly. You were having mixed feelings about today and leaned against your husband. "Are you alright?"
Wonwoo's response was fast but did not answer the question. He kissed your temple and said. "Let me know if you're going to your appointment next time. We'll go together," his mellow voice sang sorrow. You looked up to see his face and there hidden a hint of sadness in his beautiful eyes.
The journey home was blue that day, he knew his love for you was deep but not as much as the worries within.
Wonwoo was used to your prank and all but this news would never be one of them. After many attempts and tears, you two were gifted with a sunny revelation. He let out a light-hearted laugh and announced. "You're pregnant,"
"Y/N, you're pregnant!"
Wonwoo continued to have couvade episodes until the second trimester came by. Your belly swelled later than most women you knew. They told you it was normal for your bump to be small and even your husband assured you there was nothing to fret about.
Once it got bigger, you felt shy to stand bare naked in front of Wonwoo. You even made a fuss when he wanted to shower with you. "No, it's ugly. You will hate it,"
You only earned his grimace and a company for the bath. Wonwoo hissed as he smeared the shower gel over your body. His dissatisfaction was then voiced out, "How can you say this hideous? I'm the hideous one,"
You glared at him and covered his mouth. "Don't say that. It'll make it sound like I don't have a taste for marrying an ugly man," and that had Wonwoo cracked, you followed suit.
Out of blue, you felt something poking behind you. You flicked his head and pinched his waist. Flustered, you sheepishly exposed him. "Why are you getting hard?"
"Ignore that. You're just too sexy and I'm a pervert,"
"Yeah, a pervert," you chuckled with your hands fondling him already.
You and Wonwoo didn't have extensive exercise the whole pregnancy, fear if you'll get hurt. However, one night, you woke him up wanting to do it. He did it so gently that you squirmed around and begged him.
"Go harder.."
"No, honey. You're near due,"
Wonwoo had a hard time practicing abstinence in your later weeks. He hadn't done it for almost a month and he thank God for not testing him too much. Seeing how seductive you acted that night, he went out of his principle and pleased you.
He was feeling bliss all over but you were his priority. He felt the familiar sensation inside you and he smiled. "Come for me," he knew it won't take him long to bring you an orgasm. He kissed your neck and thrust a few times more before he had you ended.
Panting, you loosened your arms around his torso and asked. "Did you come? Don't lie to me,"
Wonwoo was about to tell a lie when you added. He didn't dare to ejaculate inside after he learned that semen can cause contractions. He then flashed an apologetic smile at you. "I can use my hand,"
Wonwoo never used his hands and you've long known. That hurt your heart even more. You pushed him off and got up to wash.
Whether you were pregnant or not, Wonwoo wasn't close to tranquil if you were in the bathroom for a long period. He knocked on the door for the third time and asked if you needed any help but you chose to not answer.
After a while, you finished and silently left the bathroom. The sky was still dark and your husband wasn't in the bed. "Wonwoo?" you called him, slow-voiced.
Where did he go? Is he mad when I threw tantrum just now? You felt conflicted. He rarely let you sleep alone when he's home and now he did. Rather than furious, you wanted to see him.
But even after the nth time of calling him from the room, he still didn't reply. The after-sex effect kicked in and you began to yawn. No sign of Wonwoo getting into bed and you retired soon.
As soon as you hit the pillow, you couldn't open your eyes anymore. Having no desire to resist the sleepiness, you fell asleep and Wonwoo returned home to a sleeping wife.
He put the bag of condoms in the cabinet and properly snuggled against you on the bed. He had taken a shower downstairs before going out but he was afraid you'd wake up to his smell. It happened before and you had him slept on the floor the entire week.
Wonwoo stared at you as you fell deeper into slumber and fixed your position. Your round belly looked adorable and he recalled the moments when you cried because your swollen feet hurt.
He had hurried home that evening and massaged your legs with his uniform on. "Hubby," you sniffed, wanting his attention.
"Yes?"
Your face poker and you stayed silent for a good five minutes until you broke out of character. "I love you," you confessed out of nowhere.
With your nose running with a snort, Wonwoo laughed and hugged you. "Honey, if you keep being like this, I don't know how to survive,"
Wonwoo had lost count of how many times had he rushed home because you called him crying. He was always worried even though he may have an idea of what was happening.
Little things that you do to gain his attention basked him in elation. His love for you has grown impassioned and somehow anticipates the baby to come into this world of his and yours.
Before it reached dawn, Wonwoo was first to feel the wet bed and woke up. In a daze, he didn't quickly stir you but rather checked the ceiling.
However, it was your moaning had his head turned to you, full attention. "The baby- I think the baby's coming," you winced as you spoke. He can tell from your labored breathing that it must hurt.
Fortunately, you had been reminding him to get the maternity bag ready in his car. You were around his arms as he carried your weight to the car and placed you gently in the backseat.
As he drove to the emergency department, you told him you can bear the pain but he wasn't buying. Wonwoo got out and called for a team to attend to you. They instantly brought all the necessary equipment to the vehicle and performed the procedure.
Wonwoo was guided to the registration counter and while you were pushed into the waiting hall, the only thing that kept you conscious at the moment was his arrival.
You wanted him to be by your side so badly and if you suddenly had an emergency labor without him, you honestly would cry.
Perhaps, the baby wished to see his parents immediately, you were out into labor just several hours after that, and Wonwoo was permitted into the room.
The entire process was both scary and exciting for you. On one hand, you fret if you are drained out of energy while pushing the baby out but on the other, your husband was very collected about the whole situation.
"Honey, we can see the head already. Just a little push and we're going to meet our child,"
"I know you can. Grip my hand tighter as you push,"
You didn't know what was along his sentence that moved you but tears ran down your face and you made your last exertion in his presence.
The loud wailing was an end to your suffering. Wonwoo stayed with you and only when the midwives called to cut the umbilical cord he came about.
Days after you had the little one downright changed but Wonwoo never stopped giving his unreserved attention to both of you. He would promptly take care of the child in the middle of the night since you'd had it in the morning when he was out to work.
It was a challenging period as it was Wonwoo's first experience as a father. He took a lot of advice from his parents and other people and in the blink of an eye, the child is now two years old.
At first, many said that the baby took your features but he seemed to be the carbon copy of his father. His first word was 'mummy' but all he called now was 'daddy'.
"Daddy, pick me,"
"Daddy, toys,"
Daddy here, daddy there. You couldn't help but feel bitter inside. You and Wonwoo did spend equal time with your son but his blatant preference made you green. But maybe part of him inherited from how clingy you were to your husband. “He’s just like you, Y/N,”
He gifted a peck on your jaw and smiled softly. Suddenly, a voice from the little one chimed in. “Mummy, no!” and cause a rupture of laughter from the adults. You teased him by giving his favorite person more kisses. “Daddy’s mine,”
Wonwoo will never have this memory faded. He’s glad that you confessed to him that day.

You don’t know how you and Mason made time for each other, but you always tried.
It was hard to both be public figures and have people comment on your relationship all the time, or criticize everything you did. It sucked when people blamed you for his “bad” performances. However, as tough as it was, you never let it get in the way between your relationship.
You had met Mason at an event you were both invited to. You were sitting next to each other, and to say you fell for him quickly, it was an understatement.
One date turned into two, three, four, five, you can’t even count now. They were always spaced out though, you would see him for a date one week and then not see him for at least 3 weeks. You would always text each other when you were apart and do facetime calls.
Your home was England, but because of your career you had to be in different places a lot of the time. This was an obstacle both you were willing to face.
Mason fell in love with you instantly as well. He was grateful his friends talked him into going to that event alone, otherwise he wouldn't have met you. He knew who you were, how couldn't he?He had seen you in movies many times. He always had a crush on you but to him it seemed nearly impossible to have something with you.
On your first date, he was so nervous. He had never been nervous to go on a date, as a matter of fact, he prided himself in being confident with girls. There was something about you that made him go crazy for you and he wanted to give the best impression. Every single time you were together he just felt the connection. Every single second it grew more and more.
You also knew who Mason was, living in London for a long time, it was hard not to know who he was as well. You were also a very big football fan, so you didn't want to freak out when you met him. He made you feel so at peace, like you could be yourself around him and not put up this “nice girl” persona everyone expected from you.
You were never the type of girl to have one night stands and go out much. You, of course, had that phase but as you got older you realized that it was not as important as people made it seem. You always loved being at your house or working on set. Mason loved that about you, you liked your privacy. Most of the girls he had been with, he knew it was just for attention. He always wanted to meet someone who respected his privacy and didn't just want his money.
After so many lowkey dates with him, you both started your relationship 2 months ago. You had both agreed to keep it private but not a secret. Your friends and family knew but that was it. If someone spotted you at his games, rumors always started swirling around but you never commented on it. People would say whatever it was about you both and it shouldn't matter.
Ever since Mason signed for Manchester United, you spent a lot of time with him in his apartment in Manchester. You loved being up North with him and being in your own little bubble with him and your dogs. It was like all the noise faded out.
Every weekend you would go on little dates, getting to know more and more places, and also so Mason could familiarize himself more with the city. This weekend however, Mason wanted to head down to London since it was one of his friends' birthdays.
You were currently getting ready to get in his car and start the 3 and a half hour car ride.
“Ready my love?” Mason asked you, popping his head in the bathroom to check you were ready to leave.
“Yep, I just need to get that bag downstairs” you replied, looking at yourself one last time in the mirror.
Mason headed over to the bed and grabbed the bag. “Fucking hell, what are you taking? We’re only going 3 days.”
You laughed at his comment. “I have to take some stuff back to the apartment in London and bring in new stuff.”
Once all the bags were in his trunk, you made your way to London. This would be the first time you would be meeting his friends. You know it was kind of late but, better late than never. You had been very busy and every time they would visit Mason in Manchester you were not there, not for a lack of trying. It had been hard to meet his friends and family with both of you being so busy.
You were a bit nervous but you knew that you just had to relax and just be yourself. You only knew Nathan and Benny, everyone else you had never met so you wanted to make a good impression.
—-
“This shirt or this shirt?” you asked, holding up two black shirts that honestly to any man would look exactly the same.
“Babe…they are the same…” Mason replied, looking at you clueless.
“Uh, no. This one is more see-through and this one has longer sleeves.” you pointed out, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “24 and already with bad vision…?” You told him, smirking.
“Oi those shirts are exactly the same, but I mean the first one I guess since it’s more see-through.” he replied, making you chuckle.
You were almost done getting ready, and so was Mason. The party was not far from your hotel so you were good on time. Your nerves started building up. You weren’t the best at meeting new people, but you’ve gotten better at it.
You had never been this nervous to meet your past boyfriend’s friends or family. With Mason it was different. This relationship meant everything to you, it was so important for you to really bond with his friends and for them to like you. Mason always tried to reassure you they would obviously like you and if they didn't that it would not matter, he wanted you. However, if they didn't end up liking you, it would hurt you and it would be hard to just brush it off. You figured if they were friends with Mason and they were similar to Benny and Nathan, then there would be no problem.
“Wear this purse” Mason told you as you were adding the finishing touches to your makeup. He was holding up a beautiful dark red and gold purse he gave you for your birthday not long ago.
“Oh you want me to show it off today?” You replied to him smiling.
“Of course, and if someone asks you where you got it just say the best boyfriend ever gave it to me as a gift” he winked at you making you giggle.
You grabbed the beautiful purse, grabbed Mason’s hand and headed to the car to go to the party. The little weird feeling in your tummy started happening again but you tried to brush it off.
—--
Once Mason gave the car to valet, he grabbed your hand and kissed your temple.
“Ready?” he asked you, smiling. He was excited about you meeting all of his friends finally.
“Mhm” you replied, not sounding confident at all.
“Hey, it’s gonna be fine okay? They’ll love you” he told you caressing your cheek and looking deep into your eyes making your heart melt. You gave him a little on the lips and headed inside the party.
As soon as you stepped a foot inside, Mason’s friends swarmed him. Clearly they had missed him. Mason never had a lot of time to make the drive back down to London and his friends also barely had time to go up and see him. It was sweet seeing all of his friends hug him and reunite with him.
You let go of his hand so he could say hi to all of them and stood behind him a bit awkwardly waiting for him to introduce you. The first person he greeted stepped aside and looked over at you. “Oh hey! We finally meet you!” he said approaching you to greet you. You knew who he was, Mason having mentioned him quite a bit since they were former teammates and also just by watching football. “I’m Ben it’s nice to meet you” he hugged you and you hugged him back. “It’s nice to meet you, I’m y/n” you replied smiling at him.
Mason turned around and started introducing you to everyone. Everyone was really nice and welcoming towards you which made you feel at ease. Everyone except three people. You knew one of them, again because of football. However, the other two you had no clue.
You grabbed Mason’s hand again to guide you wherever he was going. You didn’t want to be that clingy girlfriend but you barely knew anyone and felt safe being with him. You both sat down in a small booth. You sat donw next a girl.
“Hi!” she said as soon as you sat down next to her. “I’m Sophia, Kai’s girlfriend. “Oh hello! I’m y/n… Mason’s girlfriend” you replied, matching her causing her to giggle.
She was a sweetheart the whole night with you, going to the bar together, talking about everything and anything. It gave you an opportunity to give Mason space with his friends and not be super clingy as you feared.
Once the bartender handed both of you your pornstar martini’s, Sophia guided you to the terrace where Mason, Kai, Nathan and Ben were with some of their other friends on table. Once Mason spotted you he smiled at you and signaled you to go sit with him. There was very little room between him and the girl beside him, so he sat you down on his lap making you blush and smile. You didn’t know who the girl was, she was one of the few people who was a little cold with you.
There were different conversations around the table going on, you were trying to keep up with them but at the end you just started chatting with Kai and Sophia who were in front of you.
“How long have you two been together?” you heard the girl ask Mason, making you look at her. “Oh sorry I didn’t introduce myself, I’m Shea” she said not even smiling, just giving you a blank expression. You were not gonna lie, you felt a little uncomfortable and intimidated by her. “Oh nice to meet you I’m y/n” you said smiling, unlike her. “Um, we’ve been together for like two months” you told her, answering her question.
Sha laughed a little, “I’m shocked, look at you” she said now with a more expressive face looking at Mason. Mason just smiled awkwardly. You could tell there was some tension or awkwardness, or at least just from his side. He looked visibly uncomfortable. You just tried to smile and be nice.
“Yea, my God what happened to you?” another voice said. This time it was the person beside Shea. You didn’t know his name but he was the other person who never introduced himself to you. “You never come down here, never want to go out with us anymore, have a little fun like the old days.” he finished making Claire laugh. “Don’t have time mate” Mason replied, smiling at him. “Of course you don’t, you have a girlfriend now” Shea said looking at you and smiling condescendingly. Oh, so this is what it was. Maybe it bothered them that he had a girlfriend now and had no time for them?
“So boring mate…” the guy said, taking a sip of his drink. “No offense” he chuckled looking at you, “we’re not used to Mase having a serious girlfriend and shit, usually it was just for the night.” he laughed, nudging Shea, making her blush. “Joe” Mason said sternly.
You wanted the ground to swallow you. Not only did his friends think he was boring now because he finally had a serious girlfriend, you now knew he used to do it with one of his girl friends…? It also hurt you Mason didn’t say anything to them, as if they were right.
You didn’t even know what to say. You scratched your neck awkwardly and looked at Sophia. She had heard everything and helped you get out of that conversation. “Does anyone want anything from the bar? Y/n and I will go get some more drinks” she asked the table. No one wanted anything thankfully.
You got up from Mason’s lap and were about to go inside when you felt someone grab your arm. You turn around, it was Mason. “Hey, can we go to the other side and tal-” he was about to ask when you interrupted him “No…um…I have to go to the bar with Soph.” you said. “Love please” Mason pleaded. “It’s fine Mase, I promise” you told him half smiling. He let go of your arm, understanding you didn’t want to hash on it right now. He knew you were hurt and he knew he had to explain all of it to you, but he knew you better than anyone else and you needed space right now.
Once at the bar, Soph asked you if you were okay. “I’m okay, I’m just like taken back a little bit” “Ugh Joe is such a prick you have no idea” she said rolling her eyes and making you chuckle at her comment. “I can tell.”
“He is so miserable I promise you. His life consists of partying every single day. Everytime he asks Kai if he wants to go to the club or a party and says no, he blames it on me.” she said and paused to take a sip from her drink. “It;s not my fault you have no life or great charactics to get a decent girlfriend and do something else other than get high or drunk every weekend.” This time you laughed harder, making Sophia laugh too. “I just hate him so much you have no idea” she told you. “No it’s okay, I mean I had a 5 minute conversation with him and I already don’t like him”
“What about Shea, do you know her?” you asked Soph. “Not much, other than she's a leach with Joe. She’s a bit bitchy but I don’t really talk to her, you know?” “Yea” you replied.
“Um…and do you know about her and…Mason?” you asked her, not really wanting to know the answer. “Don’t worry about her, they were never anything serious whatsoever. I’m not gonna lie to you, I think they used to…you know…but ever since Mason moved clubs and cities he has changed a lot…for the better, and I’m guessing it has a lot to do with you.” she said, winking at you. It sting a little knowing he used to…sleep with one his girl friends, and it bothered you a bit he was still friends with her or at least still hung out with her. You were confident in your relationship but after tonight, you felt stupid and a little embarrassed.
What if it wasn’t just Joe and Shea that thought Mason was now boring and had no time for them because of you? What if everyone else felt the same way but didn’t show it or told you like they both did.
“Can you go with me to the bathroom please?” Soph asked, standing up. “Yes of course” you paid for your drinks and headed to the bathroom. It was only one bathroom and the men’s bathroom was directly in front of the women’s bathroom, so you waited in the hallway for her.
You were scrolling on your phone while waiting for her when you heard Mason’s voice from the men’s bathroom. You hated snooping, but you heard your name and you couldn’t help it.
“Mate I just understand what’s the problem?” you heard him say. “I’m just saying, you're adapting to a new team, new city, new everything, a relationship would be the last thing I would focus on. Y/n seems lovely, trust me, but I think in the end it will just be a distraction maybe. It’s not just another girl you know? Her lifestyle is also public and it’s completely different to yours” you didn't recognize this voice. It wasn’t Joe (thankfully), it wasn’t Ben, Nathan or Benny, it wasn’t Kai as well. Whoever it was, you didn’t care, his comments hurt you. Not because they were mean, but because there was maybe some truth behind them.
It was hard already to make time for each other. He was right, both of your live’s were so different and public, how on earth did you think this would work. Love wouldn't be a problem, but work, and lifestyle would certainly be. Maybe since the very beginning you were right. You always had this feeling about your relationship with Mason, it was too good to be true. Your past relationships weren’t great at all. You were very careful who you gave your heart to. You were more than happy to give it to Mase. He never gave you a reason to not trust him with it. It was like this whole time, you were just waiting for the ship to crash, because at the end of the day that’s always what happened.
You felt your eyes sting with tears. You stepped away from the door and couldn't hear what else was said so just turned your back to the men’s door and got close to the women’s door. Mason and his friend stepped out, you heard the door open. You didn’t want them to see you upset and on the verge of tears so you didn’t turn around.
“Y/n?” You heard Mason asked. You did your best at pretending everything was fine but he could see right through you. HIs friend stepped out as well, and now you realized it was Declan. His best friend since childhood. This made it even worse. HIs best friend was telling him all of this, and as much as Mason would reassure you it was fine, you know when your best friend tells you something like that it’s more serious. It’s not just someone online saying it, or dickheads like Joe.
“Hey I’m just waiting for Sophia-” you tried to say calmly, when Sophia opened the door. “All done” she said, and stopped in her tracks when she saw the 3 of you outside. “Oh hey guys” she smiles. “I need to go inside” you said entering the bathroom.
You could not face Mason right now. This whole night was just a big shit show. The worse you thought could happen, happened but like 200x worse. You tried to compose yourself for 5 minutes in the bathroom. You were also waiting for Mason to leave. You wanted to go back home, you didn't want to be here. You felt unwanted by some of his friends and just like you didn't fit in.
You opened the door slowly and saw only Sophia waiting for you. “I’m done” you said, stepping out. “Oh listen, Kai and I will head home, it’s late and we always sleep early like old people” she told you. “Oh okay, yea I think I’m leaving too.” you replied. “Oh Mason went outside with Dec-” “No, just me, I’ll get an uber or something.” “Are you sure? Kai and I can give you a ride” Sophia told you sweetly understanding your situation. “no , it’s okay Soph, I don't want to bother him.” “Don’t be silly c’mon” Sophia grabbed your hand and guided you to the exit.
You felt bad leaving without saying goodbye to Mason and to all of his friends since it could come across as rude but, you couldn't be arsed anymore.
Kai and Sophia were kind enough to drop you off, you said your goodbyes and thanked them. On the car ride home, you texted Mason you had left with them and for him not to worry. You took your makeup off and got comfy in a pair of pj’s.
—--
You were honestly reevaluating your whole relationship with him. You loved him, more than anything. You have never loved anyone as much as you have loved him, however you hadn't gotten the chance to tell him those 8 letters yet. But what if it got more and more serious and somewhere in the future you both realize it’s not as easy as you two thought it would be, or what if you both get way too busy for one another, what if you really are a distraction for him, what if he actually want to go back to being single and having more fun with his friends? These questions were eating you alive.
You grabbed your phone to check if Mason had messaged you and you had 7 missed calls from him. You were about to call him back when you heard the doorbell ring.
You got up from the bed and went to answer it, knowing it was Mason. When you opened the door, you could tell Mason was visibly annoyed.
“Are you serious? You just leave without telling me or saying goodbye to anyone?” he asked entering your apartment.
“I texted you when I was on my way home” you defended yourself.
“Babe…what the hell happened tonight huh? I know what Joe said was way out of line and I owe you an explanation, but you didn’t want to hear it. Then you just leave without telling me.” He had a right to be annoyed with you, you knew that.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I was leaving okay? I was not feeling good after everything that was said, you know Joe, Shea and…Declan” you said, almost whispering the last part. As soon as you said Declan’s name, he knew what you meant and his demeanor softened.
“Baby-” “Don’t Mase, please” you said, moving away from his embrace.
“I know all of it is not completely your fault, I know. I just feel…embarrassed and” you were trying to find the words without crying. “It just hurt because maybe it’s true you know?”
“What’s true?” he asked you coming closer to you.
“Maybe he’s right it’s not the time for us to be together…maybe it will distract you from football and me from my work you know? What if you regret having this serious relationship with me because you miss being more with your friends and going out-""Hey, I wouldn't have started this with you if I thought that okay?” “Mason, maybe you think that now but, maybe Declan’s right? It will not be easy, we have completely different live’s. I just think maybe we should think about it for a bit”
Mason stared at you blankly trying to process everything you had said to him. “So you want what? A break from this?” he asked you with hesitation.
“Yea…i think it’s best if we just see the bigger picture you know?” you told him, as a tear ran down your cheek.
“I don’t want a break because I know what I want,” he said looking at you, almost crying. It broke your heart looking at him like this. “But if you feel like you need it then okay” he said nodding.
—-
That night, you both hugged each other for a long time. He ended up staying at a hotel and not your apartment. You weren’t gonna lie, you cried for hours. Your heart was broken. You knew it wasn’t a break up but it felt like one. The stupidest thing was that it was your own idea.
You let other people’s perspectives cloud the love you had for him. You still had those same doubts but, after being apart for 2 weeks you knew you needed him. However, you didn’t know how to even start that conversation with him again. What if he realized what you had said maybe was right?
Overthinking was your biggest enemy, and you let it get in the way of your relationship with Mason.
Beside this whole thing, you were also upset at the fact that his best friend didn't really approve of you. Other friends of his saw you as the girl who made him boring. At the end of the day it’s not like you were going to see those people a lot but, they were his friends. You always valued what your friends had to say about your partners, because they always wanted what was best for you. It would be no different between Mason and his friends.
You were in the middle of cleaning up the living room in your apartment when your phone pinged. You checked your notification and were surprised to see who had dmed you.
Declan.
Why the hell was he messaging you? He barely talked to you, you don’t even remember if he introduced himself to you.
You opened instagram to see what he had sent you.
Hi y/n !
Listen I wanted to talk to you, I know with both of us being busy it’s kind of hard talking in person. I am so sorry for the other night!😭 I didn't mean to cause anything between you and Mason. I know what I said may seem to you that I didn’t want you to be with him but it’s not like that at all. I was just concerned about a friend you know? He just moved to a new city, a new club, I assumed (wrongly) that maybe starting a relationship with someone who has a lifestyle like yours wasn’t the best idea and I am sorry! I know for a fact now after talking to him and kind of him getting pissed at me that you are probably the best thing that could’ve happened to him this year after the shit he went through. I didn’t know both of you had been getting to know each other since January, I know now why he wanted to keep that private. I also know how he got through it. I don’t know how you put up with him. I’m so sorry again, we haven’t spoken much but from what Mason has told me about you (trust me a lot) I’m sure you are a great person and I know you want what is best for him as well!
This was really unexpected, you thought. But it was also maybe the sign you need to man up and talk to Mason and get your man back.
Heyy
Thank you, you didn’t need to apologize. I understand why you and maybe some of his other friends are worried or concerned. I was too. That's why it sucks that it’s hard. But don’t worry about it please, you’re good.
Nah I am sorry. I hope you can forgive me. I also hope you two work it out even though it is hard. I completely understand why it is but trust me that guy is whipped with you🤣.
I feel like I sound like Mase sent me HAHAHA but I just want what is best for him and that is you so I hope it does work out!❤️
Thank you Declan!❤️
From this moment on, you decided to stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something about this whole mess. You got onto your computer and bought a train ticket to manchester. You had no plan at all, other than showing up at Mason’s apartment and hoping he still wanted to see you and be with you.
—-
The train ride felt like 10 hours. Your anxiety was eating you up, your stupid overthinking was hitting hard. You tried to push it aside and distract yourself the whole ride with a book or music but none of it was working.
You finally got to Manchester and got a taxi to Mason’s apartment.
What if he wasn’t even home? You didn’t have a key to his apartment, you never got to that stage.
Well there was nothing you could do because the taxi was already pulling up to his apartment building. The taxi driver helped you get your bag out of the trunk and you paid him. You stepped into the lobby and headed towards the elevator. You pressed the number 15 button to go up.
The elevator doors open and you step out. Once you reach door 159, Mason’s door, your nerves almost made you throw up. You took a deep breath in and rang the doorbell.
You waited for him to open the door and when he finally did, your eyes teared a bit at the sight of him. He was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants.
“Hey” he whispered, looking at you shocked.
“Hi” you said, trying not to choke on your sob.
He came towards you and pulled you in a hug. You forgot how safe you felt in his arms. How loved you felt when you were with him.
“We are never doing this again…I’m sorry” you whispered in his neck, hugging him more tightly than ever and tears finally spilling.
You stood there embracing each other for what felt like hours.
He helped you take your bags inside and get settled in his apartment. Once you did, you both sat down on his living room couch. He was watching The Grinch, your favorite Christmas movie.
“Nice choice” you told him and he smiled at you.
“Mase-” “Can I start?” he asked you, interrupting you.
“Okay” you nodded.
I’m really sorry about that night” “You don’t have to apologi-” “Yes I do y/n. You were clearly uncomfortable with what was being said and I should've told Joe to shut up and not be rude. I should’ve said something and I'm sorry.” he said, grabbing your hands.
“And Shea…” you were dreading him talking about what he sued to have with her. “There was never anything serious between me and her. Yes I used to…you know…but I realized a long time ago that’s now what I wanted anymore. I wanted to find someone and be with them and share my life with them. And I found my person and it’s you.” he said now looking at you.
“I know what Dec said may be right, but what’s the point of having it easy all the time?” he asked you smiling, making you tilt your head and admire him. “It was never going to be easy, but I want us to make it work okay? You will never ever be a distraction for me, you have helped me so much when things have gone to shit. I need you baby.”
You started tearing up again.
“I love you Mason. So much” you told him, lifting your hand up and cupping his face. He just smiled at you and kissed you.
You missed his lips, the feeling of his lips on yours. 2 weeks of not touching him had been hell, a hell you never wanted to repeat.
“I love you too. So much.” he replied.
“I’m also sorry babe. I let people get into my head and started overthinking too much I’m sorry-”
“Stop. We are good okay? Maybe we needed this, you know? To realize how much we need each other.”
You nodded your head and kissed him again.
“Please promise me, other people’s opinions will not affect what we have” he said to you.
“I promise. It’s me and you.” you replied.
“You and me.” he told you.

colbybrock x f!reader
Summary: Colby and you decide to give dating a try after weeks of tension and subtle hints. The two of you agree to keep it a secret. That doesn’t stop you guys from doing fun things. You decide to go on a little cafe date, but the risk is too great. What happens when a fan spots you guys?
༻❦༺
“I’m just so lonely these days,” you sigh. You’re lying on Colby’s couch, complaining about your dating life. You’re trying to make it sound like you don’t have a massive crush on Colby. You think maybe if you act extremely desperate, he’ll cave and suddenly start liking you.
“Am I not enough for you?” Colby teases. You shake your head and groan.
“I’m talking about my lonely romantic life. Are you my boyfriend?” You ask, looking at Colby with a deadpan stare. His cheeks turn red, and he shrugs. “That’s what I thought.”
“I don’t understand why you’re so hung up on being single. I’m sure if you asked any guy out, they would say yes,” Colby explains, “Hell, I’d probably date you.”
“Yeah, right,” You laugh. Even the slight possibility of that happening makes your face heat up.
“Y/N, you are so fucking oblivious,” Colby huffs. He leans into you and grabs your chin, pulling your lips together. His lips are soft and push gently against yours. You both pull away from the kiss and look at each other awkwardly. Colby’s lips turn up into a smile. You touch your fingers to your lips, the feeling of Colby’s still lingering.
“Colby…” you mumble, “can I be honest with you?” He nods his head softly and brushes his hair out of his eyes. “I’ve liked you for a while. I thought that you’ve been messing with me. Were you actually flirting with me?”
“Y/N, I–,” Colby whispers. He doesn’t finish his sentence and stares at you silently. You tilt your head, confused. Colby smiles, puzzling you further. “I’ve been flirting with you for a year. I wonder how anything gets into that thick head of yours.”
You sigh and pout at him, “My head isn’t thick.”
“It took you until now to realize that I liked you,” Colby chuckles.
“You like me?”
“Of course I do,” Colby nods, caressing your cheek, “Will you be my girlfriend?” The sudden question makes your cheeks turn red. You fidget with your fingers and look down at Colby’s couch. Colby tilts your chin up with his hands, making you look into his eyes. His attention is too much, so you lean into his lips. You kiss him softly, trying to convey your feelings to his lips. You pull away, and he asks, “Is that a yes?” You smile, ruffling his hair.
“Colby, your fans are gonna think I’m some evil hoe taking you from them,” You blurt out, realizing the terms you just agreed to.
“That’s why we won’t tell anybody.”
༻❦༺
It’s been a few weeks since you and Colby started dating. You’ve been keeping in on the low, only telling Sam and a few other friends. Everyone’s been happy for you two. Today, you and Colby decided to go on a small cafe date. Nobody’s noticed your little dates. In reality, the new relationship hasn’t changed anything between you and Colby. Why would the fans notice?
Colby holds your hand subtly, just in case people are watching. You two walk into a small cafe that’s practically empty. Colby pulls out the chair for you, being the gentleman he is. He sits across from you.
“You look really pretty,” Colby compliments you. You smile and hide your blush with your hands. “You should wear that dress more often.” You nod, and he laughs at your quietness.
“What should I get? I know you come here a lot,” you say, switching the topic. Colby hands you the cafe’s menu. He points to a few things on the menu. Colby orders a sandwich and a coffee. You ordered a wrap and a latte that sounded nice. Another couple with a dog walks in. Your eyes glimmer at the sight of the pocket-sized puppy.
“Your dog is so cute,” you say to the couple. The couple smiles, walking over to you.
“Thank you! We just got him a week ago,” the woman responds.
“Ah, he’s so little,” you marvel, “Can I pet him?” The woman nods, and you pet the dog carefully. He wags his tail, and you smile brightly. “Thank you so much! Enjoy your lunch!” The couple waves, sitting down at a nearby table.
“You’re too cute, Y/N,” Colby teases, pinching your cheeks. You kick him lightly under the table as your cheeks turn pink. Your food arrives, and you guys eat happily. You take a sip of your latte and feel the foam coat your lips. You lick off the foam, and Colby laughs at you.
“What?”
Colby reaches forward and wipes his thumb across your upper lip. There’s white foam on his finger, and you laugh. He licks the foam off his finger with a smile.
“You’re so clumsy.” You shake your head. He nods. You reach across the table to kiss him. You peck his lips softly before sitting down again. Hopefully, no one saw.
༻❦༺
After your date, the two of you went home to watch a movie. You open your phone to find the internet in shambles.
COLBY BROCK, NEW GIRLFRIEND!!!
COLBY BROCK SECRETLY DATING HIS BEST FRIEND?!?!?!?!
Y/N AND COLBY BROCK CAUGHT KISSING IN PUBLIC!
You and Colby sigh before tossing your phones on the bed. “Shit,” Colby mutters.

New Years Night
Warning: Pegging, fingering, no mdni blogs, feminine nicknames(princess), gn reader
Kyojuro was sitting on the roof of your house, waiting for the fireworks when the clock strikes 12. He felt lonely, sure he had the others as company earlier, but he felt that there was something missing.
“You here alone?” Kyojuro jolted and quickly turned around to be faced by you- Y/n, who has recently achieved the rank Hashira. “Yeah I guess so” He lowered his guard once he realizes it was you. You were a hard worker, much like himself so you both got along quickly.
“Im on my own as well” You took a seat beside him and you both waited in silence for a while. Rengoku gazed at you with his owlish eyes, his heart beat sped up and he blushed a little when your hand brushes across his own making his blush worsen. He developed a crush on you three months after you became a Hashira and he tried his best to hide it.
“Something wrong?” Of course you knew about him having a crush on you. You noticed the signs when he left lingering touches and hugs that last a bit too long. “Kyojuro?”
He snapped out of his trance when he felt you getting closer with a slightly worried look on your face when he didn't answer. “Im f-fine”
“Your not fine” Rengoku flinched when he felt you getting closer, he could feel your cold breath on his neck making him shiver. “Tell me whats wrong” He could feel a bulge in his pants from your touch and that just made him more embarrassed. But you knew exactly what you were doing. With a coy smirk you started palming his bulge. “W-what are you d-doing!?” He gasped from the friction and started subconsciously grinding down on your thigh.
“Already wet for me, princess?” You could see the wet spot on his pants. It made him embarrassed that he came so quick but your touch just felt so good for him♡. “I-im not!” He tried protesting, but couldn't deny the pleasure you made him feel.
“Follow me” You stopped palming his bulge and got down from the roof. Rengoku was a little confused but followed you inside nonetheless and into the bedroom.
He blushed even more at the possibilities of what you would do to him in that room. “On the bed” You commanded. He immediately complies and gets on the bed, eagerly awaited your touch. “Dont be impatient, princess” He was about to deny the nickname, but he gasped at you suddenly shoving your fingers through the rim of asshole to prep him.
“A-at least w-warn me first!~” He clenched around your fingers like a vice as he squirms. “Relax, princess, it'll feel better soon” You paused your movement so he could relax and continued once he grinded down on your fingers.
“Does it feels good, princess?” You sped up your fingers. “W-wai- AAH!~” He moaned like a common whore when you prodded your fingers against his prostate. It felt so good that his mind went blank as he clawed at the sheets.
A whine left his mouth when you pulled out your fingers, but it was replaced by a gasp when you slid your length/strap inside him. “T-too b-big!!~” He was full on panting once you bottomed out. “You can take it. I know you can”
You waited for him to adjust before you started ramming into his hole as it clenches around your length. “Y/n! Harder!!♡~” His delicious moans and the way his hole fluttered around your length/strap brought you over the edge.
FIVE
“I-i I'm g-gonna!!- Aagh!~” He orgasms for the 4th time with a loud, almost pornographic moan, and spurts ropes of cum all over his chest. You came shortly after him, painting his walls white. You didn't stop, Instead you sped up your pace.
FOUR
“I-i just came! Y-y/n♡!~” He was getting overwhelmed by the pleasure. You were hitting all the right places that made him moan more loudly. But you didn't care, you wanted everyone to know you were the one fucking him this good.
THREE
His body was littered in hickeys and marks that proved he belongs to you. “Cum with me” He felt another approaching orgasm, and so did you.
TWO
The sound of skin slapping in the room picked up as the both of you chased your highs. You let out a groan feeling the knot in your stomach building up. “Y/n♡!!~” He came with a moan of your name and with one last thrust you also came and filled him up again then pulled out.
ONE
The fireworks lit up the sky signifying that New Years had arrived as you both laid there out of breath from your recent activities. “Happy New Year, princess” “Happy New Year, Y/n”

Chocolate Heart
« A strong, sweet love. »
Dahyun x gn!reader
Fluff
synopsis - confessing to your crush on valentines day very rarely goes as planned anyway
wordcount - 3K
T/W - Food, young love, crushes all that good valentine’s stuff, soft cuss word
A/N - shoutout @saiiidahyunee its as long as it took for me to write about Dahyun im so sorry💀
“Congratulations!”
The cheerful word caused you nothing but chills and fright. You blinked at the two class presidents standing before you, grinning as though disturbing your nap was the most fun thing in the world.
“For what?” You mumbled half asleep. Unless you were out for months, it wasn’t your birthday yet. Neither had you accomplished anything worth celebrating.
“For possibly going on a date in the next few weeks!” One of them cheered once more while the other revealed a pen and paper from behind her back.
“What?”
The girl ignored the utter confusion on your face and shoved the pen into your hand before sliding the paper accross the table you were so comfortably napping on a minute ago.
“Do you have a crush?” Her co-president asked, and you could tell his tone went beyond the required professionalism. Just plain nosy.
You sighed as you finally realized what this ambush was about: the whole Valentines Day love campaign your school loved to put up every year in order to help fund whatever was in need.
The concept itself was fun and harmless: class presidents chasing their classmates down the halls, offering to confess to your crush for you in exchange of a couple bucks.
Deal of the year for a lot of high-schoolers, and it wasn’t even done badly. The whole thing was cute; a fresh, red rose they delivered anonymously on your behalf on D-Day. While they filled the school’s pockets, you got to see your crush smile at least once thanks to you. To a young teenager foolishly in love, the sight was priceless.
Even if you drew the shortest end of the deal—a.k.a your crush not giving a damn—they’d never know who it was from anyway. Saved you a lot of embarrassment, which in all honesty was just as priceless.
“No, I don’t have a crush.” You answered him, and the way his features noticeably fell was particularly satisfying.
“Do you now? Don’t you think we’re a little too old not to notice these things?” The girl wiped the small smirk off your lips and you blinked. “We’ve been in the same classroom all week for four years, we’ve seen the way you treat the new girl.”
The seat suddenly felt uncomfortable underneath your legs. “What does that even mean—I don’t treat her any different than I do you guys.” You chuckled, nerves unfortunately too clear for the guy not to revive his own hope.
“Sure you don’t.” The girl smiled, the pull at her lips borderline fake. “But you haven’t walked any of us home yet, have you?”
You shifted in your seat once more. “We happen to live in the same neighborhood. If you’re jealous just say that.”
The girl’s smile seemed to falter for a second, dropping only to stretch itself wider and brighter than before. You caught her clutching the small stack of paper tighter against her chest, causing you to knit your eyebrows together.
You weren’t oblivious. At least not more than she claimed herself to be. You had your fair share of secret admirers across the years, a few roses sent your way; but it was no secret that you never pulled on any of the strings thrown your way by the bravest of them.
“As if.” She shrugged off and you nodded, appreciating how she stuck to her role.
There was never any want nor need on your end. A relationship was never an idea on your mind, but it doesn’t mean you couldn’t and didn’t have a harmless thing for someone here and there.
All unrequited, as per the majority of high-school love, but you managed to find the fun of it. Silly jokes and random eye-contact rushes were satisfying enough.
Until she came along.
“Anyway—”
“So do you like her or not?” The boy cut her off, saving you both from an uncomfortable moment only to send the three of you into a silence of that same nature.
You hoped your lack of answers would get them off your back, but the longer it lasted, the more it proved their suspicions to be right.
You could see the delight on the boy’s features grow as much as the frown on the girl’s. You ignored the latter for as long as it took for her to cover it up before she tapped the paper in front of you.
“It’s our last year.” She spoke up. Her voice was softer than you were used to. It caught you off guard. “You might regret not participating at least once.”
Whatever, you thought, looking down at all the names already written down. Might as well, she won’t know anyway.
You gripped the pen, following your hand as your fingers painted the name of the girl you’d come to care so much about.
Kim Dahyun - Senior Class B
“Here.” You slammed the pen against the table. “Happy?”
“The two dollars.”
You looked up at them and sighed once more.
“Kind of a scam but okay…” You mumbled, reaching into your pockets for the remaining change of your allowance.
The bill was inconvenient. Sure it wasn’t much, but when you’ve been cut off for the next two months because of a silly prank… Might as well say you’d bet your whole fortune on this crush. It sounded cool anyway. Your grandkids would eat this up.
—
Valentine came around quick, and you spent all day watching people receive roses in all corners of the school.
Young love filled the air, time was nothing if not stuck in this carefree atmosphere roaming with still naive and hopeful spirits. As much as you would have liked to be cool about it all, you weren’t an exception. You couldn’t help but wonder whether Dahyun had received hers or not.
Maybe in sixty years you’ll probably laugh at the memory, but in the moment it didn’t feel half as funny.
From eight in the morning, all you could do was stress over whether she’d accept it or not. Would she even like it? If she had, did she smile as brightly as you wanted her to? Had it made her as happy as you hoped? Granted she wouldn’t know who it was from, but you hoped the gesture would actually make her smile. Your heart couldn’t stay still in your chest, eager yet nervous to see her.
You waited all day to see her, looking out at every corner of each room and hallway you walked in for a glimpse of her pretty, dark and long hair, fair skin, and cute nose appreciating whatever scent was left of that cheap flower.
By 4pm, she was still nowhere to be seen. Was she avoiding you? Did she even get that dang flower?
The bell rung the end of your last classes for the day, and you took out your frustrations out on your poor locker. You hadn’t opened its door this aggressively since you got detention for sleeping in class. Something very infuriating in failing at what you usually master.
Whatever, at least you helped the school.
You got your bag off your shoulder, glancing inside the locker for your books only to find… a rose? Had she sent it back to you?
You winced at the thought, the pinch in your heart taking you by surprise.
So this is heartbreak…, you sighed reaching for the flower. If that wasn’t painful enough, one of the thorns poked your finger and you almost laughed at life’s comedic timing.
You watched the small wound on your skin as it reddened slowly. It’ll heal fast enough. Couldn’t say the same for the one in your chest though.
This was the stupidest idea ever, why did you even give in to their pressure…
You wiped your finger on your shirt, a small stain you’d come to regret later but held very little importance in your eyes when a small card fell to the ground.
The book you’d grabbed felt heavier with each second you took to identify where it had come from. The only logical answer was your locker, but how had you not noticed it?
Shoving the homework material in your bag, you bent down to pick it up before closing your locker. Your eyes were glued to the writing on the folded paper, widening as all sense suddenly hit you.
Your name… the careful and precise calligraphy… The rose… It was her.
Maybe she hadn’t given the flower back to you. Or maybe she did, but her gesture meant something entirely different.
Your fingers were hesitant on the card’s edges, grazing and ghosting papercuts as you gathered enough strength and composure to open it.
You pulled out what you had rightly guessed as a letter, handwritten by the cutest of them all. Your eyes were eager at the thought of unveiling her thoughts, brushing past every single one of her words before finding the ones you wanted to see the most.
« I hope you actually like me, Y/n. You’ll regret it if you don’t. »
Okay, maybe this wasn’t the way you’d wanted them, but it was enough to pull a giggle out of you. It was a running joke, it was known across the school how no one should mess with her. Rumors of her song at the talent show being about an ex, those did a great job at spreading the word. Whether or not they were true, her songwriting was good enough of a threat for anyone who might have dared to.
Judging on the speed of your heart alone, she had nothing to worry about in that regard. Her written confession had you a mess, you couldn’t wait to meet her for more.
You wanted to hear her say all those things to you. How she liked your eyes whenever they were on her. How she liked your smile whenever you tried to see hers. How she liked your laugh whenever you tried to hear hers. How she fell for you and could only hope you’d catch her.
You were soon running through the streets, rose in hand as you ran past people, leaving bits and pieces of that love and hope behind for the nosiest of them.
You sprinted to the nearest park, the one you usually parted ways at on your way home from school. Why didn’t she wait for you today? It would have saved you the extra gym class.
“Dahyun!” You yelled, way too loud for the remaining distance separating you from her, but at least you caught her attention.
The way she turned around… You could have tripped at how beautiful it all was; the scenery that drew itself around her.
The grass looked beautiful, fresh and green at her feet as if her standing there only did the opposite of killing it. The sky, the clouds, the sun all indecisive over the weather, like her presence was enough to throw them off balance. Only the wind seemed to stand its ground, carrying those dark strands of hers as gently as it could. A present for you, offering you a chance to picture her perfect charm in your mind.
It was an instant, she turned to answer your call and faced you with eyes as sweet as ever while your lungs fought to keep themselves and yourself alive a little longer. Breathtaking had just taken a whole new meaning.
You could only hope it felt as cinematic on her end, but the way she laughed into the wind, carrying the sound all the way to your ears as you ran towards her significantly reduced that hope by at least 50%.
Oh, well. At least you made her smile.
“Is this yours?” You asked, holding up the rose as you slowed down, finally close enough to her.
You waited for her answer, breathless as you took great care in stopping before bumping into her. You made sure to leave enough space in between the two of you, but the air that filled it was suddenly heavy with anticipation.
“No.”
Your breath hitched in your throat. There went that pinch in your chest again. This wasn’t something you wanted to get used to. “What?”
“I think it’s yours.” She said, pulling out another one from her back. “This one’s mine.”
“Wh—Huh?” You grimaced, eyebrows furrowing together as you glanced back and forth between the two roses. “Then what’s this?”
“I guess someone has a crush on you.” She said, her voice soft. You barely heard it, but the slight loss of light in her eyes was enough to make you piece it together.
She wasn’t joking around. She really wasn’t the one who’d put that rose your locker.
“Oh.” A nervous chuckle escaped you as you glanced at the rose. You had an idea as to who it was from, but you couldn’t care less at the moment. You weren’t going to let this ugly miscommunication ruin your chances. “Well, here. Two for one.”
You handed her the rose in hopes of bringing back the glow that suited her features so well. It was never too long until you managed to do so, and this time was no exception.
“Are you seriously recycling someone’s love right now?” She chuckled and you shrugged. You actually were thinking of it as a proof of only having eyes for her, but alas…
“You’re never too green for the planet.” You joked out of habit. “It’s the least I can do to thank her for these beautiful flowers.”
“For the planet.” She nodded, grabbing the stem carefully as to not hit any of its thorns. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” You smiled, and the heavy air turned awkward.
You eyed the space in between, making out every single unspoken word in the short yet frightening distance. Both of you were aware of them now, yet neither dared to cross it.
“Why didn’t you buy me one?” You asked, suddenly curious. If she had planned to confess today of all days, it only seemed logical for her to do so.
“I did. Just not the ones from school.” She said, bringing up the small gift bag she’d been holding on all this time.
Your face lit up and you stepped forward to look inside, something that made Dahyun’s heart pick up the pace. “Oh my gosh, you did!”
How lovely was your smile from up close. Overwhelmingly so. “I made you some chocolates too.” She mumbled as you struggled to keep still.
“No way!” You held onto the baby sized rose in your hand, digging inside the bag with the other to pull the small box at the bottom. “You didn’t…”
Dahyun only nodded, hiding herself behind the sudden need to tell you all about the day she’d spent planning her small confession.
You smiled all the way down to your heart, listening to every one of her words. She’d spent a whole afternoon in the kitchen to make sure everything came out perfect. Her evening was spent writing out her feelings for you, erasing and rewriting every word as she tried to find the right ones only to spend her night tossing and turning in her sheets, nervous and excited about sharing it all with you today.
“Dahyun they’re so good, thank you so much.” You hummed as you tasted one of her chocolates. “Did you have some?”
Dahyun only giggled, glancing down at the ground to avoid your playful ones. It never lasted too long though, only a second as she couldn’t fight the way her eyes were so easily drawn to you.
“Here have one.” You offered, holding what seemed to be a dark chocolate one to her lips. “Come on.” You insisted when you noticed she was hesitant, which only lead you to a playful fight as she resisted you trying to feed it to her. “Please enjoy it! You did all this for me, and I only got you a cheap flower, how does that make me look?”
“I don’t know.” She laughed as your hold on her loosened, defeated. “I mean…”
You cleared your throat at the sudden feeling of your arm around her waist.
“Right now you’re looking very pretty.”
Maybe it was the proximity that reassured her; that gave her enough confidence to confess those thoughts of you. How close you were to her, it felt as though you could only catch her if she jumped that distance.
So she did. She jumped, but failed to close it. Her lips were still and shy near your own, so you brought a hand up to her chin, guiding her towards the smile she’d caused.
Again, it was only an instant. A soft press of your lips, capturing each other’s in a gentle and warm feeling you discovered for the first time together.
It was funny, how she could taste the sweet chocolate on your lips despite herself. And not to pat her own back, but she did a great job.
It was addicting.
Or was it your lips? She couldn’t quite tell just yet, but surely she’ll have time to figure that out.
“So you knew?” You grinned, unable to hold back the happiness you felt.
Dahyun nodded, pressing her lips together as a sign of nerves still high. “Did you know too? About me?”
“Well, I definitely do now.” You chuckled, pulling away to hold her card up, still smiling at the words it contained. She blushed at the same thoughts. “You’re a very talented writer, Dahyun. You make me sound much better than I actually am.”
You joked yet again, suddenly remembering your beloved “class-clown” title. You weren’t exactly proud of it, but you did take pride in bringing joy into this class. That’s what made you so popular, what allowed you to break out of your own shell and make friends with about anyone.
“No. That’s just how good you are to me.”
You took care in making sure no one was ever left behind, especially the quiet and smart ones like Dahyun—often despite themselves—by pulling everyone and anyone into your banter.
As the new kid, Dahyun purposely sought a lack of attention. She kept to herself, but you caught her laughing along with everyone. Maybe that’s exactly what caught your attention at first, and you were surprised she didn’t push you away the first time you approached her.
That’s what usually happens when an academic ace and a class clown are paired together.
“Glad my efforts didn’t go unnoticed.”
“I mean, it was hard not to notice them…”

Eddie Munson x F Reader
Warnings: Mention of bad parents, and bad boyfriends. Yeah nothing else really just LOTS of fluff!
Word Count: 1k+
Description: Reader realizes she's in love with Eddie after he ties her shoes for the first time. So she starts making it a habit of walking with her shoe untied for him to tie and he catches on.
A/N: I saw this concept of Eddie stopping to tie Reader's shoes and I just had to make a fic about this because if that ain't love, I don't know what is!! 💕🥺
(P.S I also listened to this song while writing this and the part where he says “thought I could live without romance, until you came to me.” omg that part was so good I love Elvis’s music!!)
--------------------------------------------------------
(y/n)’s Pov
If someone had told me I'd end up falling in love with my best friend, Eddie "The Freak" Munson I'd call them crazy, but here I was standing with my arms full of books and Eddie suddenly stopping me, getting down on his knees and tying my shoes.
"Your gonna fall and break a tooth if you keep walking around like this Sweetheart," he said chuckling as you stare at him wide-eyed, mouth gaping a bit.
"No, I'd never fall in love with anyone ever, people disappoint me." I had told Eddie time and time again when he would ask me during our lunch at our "secret table” in the woods. He’d ask me if I had a crush on anyone in the school and he always got the same answer but yet he still seemed to ask at least once a month.
No, I'd never fall in love... But here I was staring at him as he tied my left shoe, then my right, and then looked up at me with those beautiful brown eyes and pearly white smile. And suddenly my heart was beating a thousand miles per hour, with no signs of slowing down. And my hands were getting clammy, the books in my arms threatening to fall but no way in hell was I about to let them fall and hit Eddie's beautiful face.
"You good, (y/n/n)?" he asked, standing up and tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
"U..Um, Yeah I'm fine just a bit lost in thought" you replied giving him a small smile, he nods.
"Then shall we get to class?"
"Yup let's go Eds"
----------
Ever since that moment with Eddie a few months ago, I've been falling head over heels for him and I wanted more than anything to be his, but to ask him was to face rejection and I sucked with rejection. Plus I was sure he didn't like me he was always very flirtatious with a lot of people he had been that way even when I first met him two years ago.
But it wasn't gonna stop me from loving him. Almost every couple of days for the last four months Eddie would stop, get down on his knees and tie my shoe never minding or finding it annoying that I always somehow had my shoes untied.
And when he did it, my heart would flutter like a thousand butterflies in an open field. God if only he knew what he did to me. If only he knew how quickly I'd fallen for him, despite never really feeling like this before it felt like I have loved him my whole life. Yes I've had a few boyfriends before but they were just heartbreakers, never staying for long.
But with Eds it was different, He is different than the rest of them. He cares about me like no other, always going out of his way to make sure I was happy and taken care of. Knowing how my home life was and how it wasn't always the best and how cruel my family could be and how low they could make me feel. He always made sure I felt the exact opposite of that.
I don't know why it took me so long to fall in love with him it wasn't like I didn't find him attractive, he’s always been beautiful and I’ve always notice how kind he was despite being see as the complete opposite. Everything about him was inviting so why did it take me this long to realize I love him? I think maybe it was just my guarded heart, but somehow he managed to melt this heart of iron.
And God if he ever found out why my shoes were always untied I swear I'd just pass away right then and there, definitely a good thing he hasn't caught on yet which meant I could continue to do it without any suspicion from him.
-----------------------------
Eddie's Pov
Four months ago I had gotten down on my knees in front of (y/n) to tie her shoes so she wouldn't fall, and I gotta admit it was one of the best decisions I had ever made. Because here I was now, walking down the halls and there she was again walking down the halls with her miss-matched socks peeking out and her untied shoes, her eyes glued to the book in her hands. And I swear she was the most beautiful person I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
And This was the four-time in the last week that I'd seen her with untied shoes. Ever since she'd walked around with her shoes untied that day, it had started to be a common occurrence. she'd never been this way before but i was like suddenly she had a longing for face planting and getting hurt.
Eventually, I caught onto her schemes and plans very early on. I had one day overheard her friend Robin talking to Dustin in the hallways, about how she was purposely untying her shoes so I could tie them for her whenever I'd spot her throughout the day. I'll admit It was a bit confusing and I didn't know why she did it, but the girl I've been in love with since the day I met her, wanted me to tie her shoes, there was no way I'd turn that down ever.
——————
"Really sweetheart, again with the untied shoes? How many times do I have to tie your shoes in a week? you’re gonna end up hurting yourself one day." I said smiling at her, she lifts her head up her precious smile making a way onto her face.
Getting down to tie her shoes, I start by taking both of the laces on her left foot tying them and ending with the signature bunny ears, then moving to the right and doing the same on that side just as I always do whenever I tie her shoes.
"It's almost like you want me to tie your shoes for you, it's almost like" I pause for a second chuckling.
"Like you're purposely doing this just so I can tie them." I said looking at her as she gazed back down at me, and I could see a little panic in her alluring eyes and small blush creeping onto her face, as she tried to stay calm knowing she's been caught in her act.
"Wh-why would you think that," she asks stuttering a bit, I stand up placing an arm over her shoulder as the halls start to clear out. Her and I among the few still standing around.
I lean down and get close to her ear, breathing on it a bit, as she shivers.
"Well because I might have overheard so and so talking to another so and so about how your purposely untying them, so little old me could tie them for you." I smirk at her, as her body goes tense underneath me, as she pulls away from my arm facing me now, eyes wide and mouth open.
"Who told you that?!" she asks.
"Munson, (y/l/n), Get to class now!" Our heads turn as we hear Mrs. Elgreen yell at us.
“Stop standing around, go now!” She yells again. As (y/n) just stands there waiting for a response from me.
"Oh, I’m sorry sweetheart, but I gotta get to class really don’t wanna fail again, and I think you should go to really don’t want you failing either." I said a smug look on my face, as I quickly peck her cheek walking off to my class. I looked back at her shocked expression and chuckled a bit, God that girl was gonna be the death of me.

tan - 🍊 | lem - 🍋 | you - 🍓
main masterlist
- THE CRUSHING STAGE -
- when tangerine first met you he never would've thought that the two of you would become such important aspects in each other's lives.
- he thought he would probably see you once in his entire life, but the universe had different plans.
- you'd start running into each other way more than expected.
- he was honestly a little annoyed with how much he kept seeing you.
- " ya' stalking me, love?" - 🍊
- you rolled your eyes and bit back with a snarky remark. thus creating your frenemies relationship.
- everytime you ran into each other he'd say something backhanded and you'd reply right back with unexplainable quickness.
- these interactions lasted for approximately 10-30secs, sometimes a minute if you were lucky.
- well, it was no different when you ran into him and lemon after leaving a bar.
- you greeted and complimented lemon since it was your first time meeting him and then went on to give tangerine the usual teasing remark.
- it didn't sit right with him.
- he was jealous annoyed.
- he didn't even understand why he was jealous because the two of you never really built a relationship outside of being assholes to each other whenever you crossed paths.
- throughout the day lemon noticed how his brother was more annoyingly grumpy than usual and ended up asking him about his foul mood.
- tangerine keeps his mouth shut, but lemon sooner or later finds out it was because of what had happened between the three of you earlier that day. (he's very good at reading people)
- lemon calls him out for it.
- " Don' even know 'er, but it's clear you like the bird. Stop bullshitting and just ask 'er out." - 🍋
- tangerine doesn't ask you out, he doesn't even speak to you.
- he avoids you like the plague for weeks.
- he didn't want to have feelings for you. you weren't a terrible person by any means but he couldn't possibly have time for a love life with his profession.
- lemon noticed how tangerine was a little thrown off of his rhythm and figured it was about the situation between you two.
- he ended up giving tangerine annoyingly good advice and told him that life isn't just pain and death and how it wouldn't hurt to step into the dating world if he was interested in someone.
- love is a human emotion after all.
- tangerine contemplated his situation.
- you were on his mind too often for his liking and it was starting to drive him mad.
- tangerine nearly dying in a mission was what it took for him to finally approach his feelings.
- that mission shifted his thinking a bit and made him realize that his time was truly limited and he didn't want to waste it without even trying to court you.
- so, the next time you two ran into each other he asked you out.
- "seriously? i don't see you for nearly 3 months and all of a sudden you wanna go out for drinks?" - 🍓
- "yeah..." - 🍊
- You accept his invitation because you missed him terribly and was pretty heartbroken when you stopped running into him.
- the night is of course pure bliss.
- you two have drinks, you laugh together, theres a lot of smiling, and light flirtatious touches from both parties.
- he'll tell a joke and you'll laugh, resting your hand on his bicep, while his hand is resting just above your knee, softly caressing it.
- once he drops you off at your apartment complex he tries to kiss you goodbye.
- you reject his affection because he kept you waiting for so long and you wanted to make him work for it.
- he was feigning for you at that point.
- he loves a small challenge. and your affection was something he would fight to win over.
- three/four dates went by before you let him kiss you.
- he didn't hold back.
- you were squished between your apartment door and his body. he held the back of your neck and gripped your waist with such vigor.
- you honestly would've had him right there if he asked.
- you two made out at your door for a few minutes before he broke away with a smirk and dazed expression.
- he wiped away your messy lipstick from the bottom of your lip and you didn't hesitate to return the favor.
- " til' next time, yeah?" he'd quietly murmur before tilting your chin and leaning in, placing a gentle peck on your lips.
- "til' next time." you'd whisper even though he was long gone and in the elevator.
- THE DATING STAGE -
- man spoils the shit out of you.
- if you thought his stealing habit was bad before, it's gotten 10x worse now that he's with you.
- you don't encourage it at all and you even scold him for it but he just can't help himself.
- whenever he sees something that even remotely reminds him of you, he's taking it and slipping it into his pockets.
- sooner or later you get overwhelmed with the load of expensive/flashy items he's giving you and eventually ask him to tone it down.
- he'd definitely be a little hurt because gift-giving is his main love language. but he wouldn't want to cause you any discomfort whatsoever, so he tones it down.
- you and lemon are the cutest duo.
- you indulge in his thomas the tank engine brain rot and listen to him talk about it for hours on end.
- on days you're both bored he'd make you binge thomas the tank engine with him since tangerine won't engage in such "childish shit."
- it's always a good time tho, he loves adding in his own commentary and insulting diesel whenever he appears on screen.
- you gave him a few thomas the tank engine glass figurines and gave him new stickers for his birthday and he was really happy about it. he nearly cried :').
- he appreciated your gift A TON. that was also the first time he gave you a bear hug.^^ (your feet literally weren't touching the ground for a good 15 seconds.)
- tangerine gets kinda annoyed by the relationship you two have but he's even more endeared by it.
- he's glad that the two most important people in his life like each other and can bond over something, even if it feels like they're slowly melting his brain with how much they talk about it.
- the two days before he leaves for his jobs are always the saddest.
- his job is really dangerous and there's never a 100% guarantee that he'll return so the two of you spend your time under each other for those remaining days.
- cuddling, kissing, fucking (and a little crying from you because you worry about him.)
- once you two started to get really serious and planned on moving in together, he had told you about his job and what he (and lemon) did for business.
- he wanted to make sure you were completely in with the relationship like he was.
- you were annoyed and pretty upset when you found out because of how long he kept it from you but you understood and your feelings towards him didn't change a single bit.
- he was pretty relieved when you told him you still loved him and wanted to be with him no matter what he did for work.
- living together is pure bliss really.
- baths and showers together are pretty frequent, most of the time not even sexual.
- he doesn't even mind doing face masks with you, you don't have to convince or beg him to do it.
- he will frequently pay for spa days for you.
- usually including a mani-pedi (he loves french tips), facial, wax, massage, etc... he loves to pamper his s/o.
- he usually arranges those spa days when he's away at work so you don't think about him too much.
- you get worried like any s/o would when he goes away. but his small texts throughout the mission (that are sometimes accompanied with a blurry pic of his fancy pointed shoes or lemon doing something in the background) relieved you until he came back.
- his missions can either be a quick two days or a long 2 months. he has a unpredictable schedule.
- the days he comes back, lemon doesn't even bother being in the same house as you two. he drops tan off and books a hotel for two days.
- you might be asking why and the reason is because you two are all over each other as soon as he gets back.
- i mean you two fuck so loud and do not hold back your moans/groans/screams.
- you'd think someone was watching a football game or getting murdered.
- tangerine can either be in the candlelit dinner, soak in the tub together, and then slow passionate sex after mood or the fuck you in whichever room you're in once he finds you mood. (you two have done it everywhere except lemons room, mainly out of respect for him)
- oh god, DO NOT WEAR LINGERE ON HIS DAY BACK. (for your safety and for his sanity)
- he will actually rip it to shreds without a care and will ravage you.
- he will not hold back if he's been gone for too long and that can lead to very exhausting mornings and aching body parts.
- honestly sex between you two only happens before and after missions. his sex drive isn't that high.
- i feel like he doesn't like to makeout that much. he feels like he's being teased and would rather just get straight into it. but if you love to kiss, he'll indulge in your desires.
- he definitely has a oral fixation.
- he loves going down on you and loves when you go down on him. both options are equally enjoyable to him.
- this might be a bit controversial but i feel like he doesn't really like to be called daddy.
- i think he'd prefer to be called sir, his name, or just the usual pet names you give him.
- he's okay with certain kinks but he strays far away from anything that can cause you any physical pain or will make you cry.
- he only inflicts pain on people when he's working or because some asshole got on his last nerve.
- he'd never bring that type of stuff home and do it to you.
- he isn't really into degrading either. he'd rather praise/tease you.
- he'd degrade you if you wanted him to but he won't really enjoy it as much as you would 😭 (sorry for the people with pain/degrading kinks)
- prefers to be a power top (and usually is) but he enjoys when the roles are reversed and you take control every now and then.
- he's honestly a very passionate lover, and not just in the bedroom.
- he's sweet and is always very soft with you. and only you.
- you rarely ever get into arguments because his patience with you increases by 1000.
- if he makes you cry he'd drop the entire argument in seconds and apologize.
"m' sorry for raising my voice, love. i know you don' like me yelling like that." - 🍊
- if he ever gets annoyed by you or is just in a really shitty mood, he'll keep some distance between the two of you to avoid snapping on you.
- you two definitely still tease each other, but his sly remarks are much lighter in tone from before, and he never really means any harm behind his words.
- he'll go from "I'LL BASH YA' FUCKIN' FACE IN, YOU PRICK!🤬." until you call him and then he's like "yes, darling i'll stop by the cafe you like on the way home🥰."
- he's very loud and low-tempered around others but he's so soft-spoken and calm around you.
- people who have ran into him would be surprised by the 180° his personality takes when he's with you.
- he definitely leans more into affection around you. i think he used to be awfully touch-starved before you two started dating :(
- tangerine is a very good-looking man, so women are throwing themselves at him any chance they get.
- he never gives them the time of day unless he's on a mission and needs something from them.
- say there's a lady at this fancy event who's constantly bugging him and trying to feel him up.
- he'd indulge in her flirting for a while if he sees something of worth. like a pretty necklace that he thinks will look good around your neck and not hers.
- and before you know it he has her necklace and is on his way home to add to your already impressive jewelry collection. (he has taken more than the same piece of jewelry twice.)
- he'll slap anyone's hand away if they try for a simple handshake or hug. but if you were to open your arms up to him, he'd lose himself in your embrace without any hesitation.
- your nicknames for him would be tan, love, meanie, babe, dove, and possibly more.
- his nicknames for you would be darling, your name but shorter or your middle name (if you have one), love, gorgeous, and very very rarely calls you this next one, it's only when he's in the extra soft mood-
- but sometimes he'll call you muffin.
- you swore up and down you'd never let your s/o call you cringy ass names like lovey-dovey boo-boo bear but you absolutely crumble whenever he calls you muffin. and he knows the affect that nickname has on you.
- the first time he called you it is when he was trying to calm you down from a panic attack.
- the club you were at got ransacked and shot up, lemon and tangerine were able to protect you from any harms way and all three of you left unscathed.
- you were still very shaken up from the event because you've never experienced anything like it.
- tangerine held the sides of your face and stared deeply into your eyes with a empathetic look in his eyes.
- he'd console you in the softest voice he could manage.
- 'y'alright muffin? it's over now, you don' 'ave to be scared, you're safe.' - 🍊
- ' i wouldn't let anyone hurt you, alright? not when you're with me.' - 🍊
- he reacts the same way when you call him pumpkin. he'll act like he hates it but he adores it sm.
- you're definitely the baker and he's the cook.
- lemon loves living w/ the two of you because he eats good at least 4/7 days of the week(if you guys don't order takeout or have leftovers.)
- cooking or baking together is usually the most intimate activity you two do. it always puts him in the domestic mood.
- he enjoys being around you, even if you two aren't interacting in any way. he's just content with being in your presence.
- sometimes he will overthink and have doubts about the relationship you two have.
- he really feels like he doesn't deserve you. he's a cold-hearted murder and you simply weren't. you two were complete opposites in almost every aspect.
- he wonders how he got such a warm-hearted and gentle person to be in love with him.
- he doesn't want you to leave him but at the same time he'd completely understand if you did. he's a huge asshole to mainly everybody and is a murder for gods sake.
- you love him way too much to ever leave him tho.
- you're always really quick to shoot down those terrible thoughts and reassure him.
- you always know when he's thinking of stuff like that because his usual annoyed frown is different from his sad frown.
- tangerine is truly grateful for you and appreciates the things you do for him.
- he loves you and you love him.
- lemon is more than happy for his brother but god, he feels queasy around you two sometimes.
whewwww, 🤧 i had a few more ideas but i felt like this one was getting too long.
hopefully you enjoyed it!! <3

no rules - kang taehyun
pairing: fwb!taehyun x m!reader
synopsis: you and Taehyun are fwb and in order to not spoil their friendship, Taehyun imposes some rules on the relationship . . . (there's actually no other way to describe this.)
word count: 0.8k
a/n: ssfw :3 . . . this is also very VERY cringey... beware. also this has been in my drafts for over 2 weeks. um.. i may or may not have forgetten about it when i was revamping my profile. LOL!
Taehyun had four set rules when they first started out: first, no sex while they were on a busy schedule, i.e. at the time of performances, promotions, or tours; second, avoid unnecessary caresses; third, no kissing on the mouth; last but not least, no sleeping together, especially after sex.
These were four simple rules, but y/n hated them with all his heart. He knew that he could not break them, nor could he complain to have them eliminated, and finally he understood that Taehyun had them set for a reason. The Korean man had talked about something to do with the chemistry of human emotions and how not respecting them would cause a romantic attachment on the part of them, which would inevitably end their friendships.
Maybe Taehyun had exaggerated or been dramatic? you couldn’t tell, it was better not to risk it. And it’s not that you didn’t believe that, in fact, you didn’t care. Considering that you were already in love with Taehyun, nothing could make it worse. But you couldn’t tell his friend, or it might not only shake their friendship, but also with the group dynamic, more than the casual sex they had.
Which you thought was too little, considering everyone was busy with performances and touring for the last few months, a situation mentioned in Taehyun’s rules that left you with calluses on your hands, if you know what I mean.
You understood this, of course it was necessary to focus on work, to avoid distractions. However, in your humble opinion and perspective, even during work, they need to relax a little, even take some risks… And that is why you were in Taehyun’s room, lying half-naked on his bed, waiting for him to come out of the bathroom.
Originally, Huening Kai was supposed to be sharing the room with Taehyun, but fortunately, with your wit and persuasion – and a bit of bribery - you managed to swap places with the maknae. When Taehyun finally emerged from the bathroom, his gaze wandered in surprise and confusion to see your figure on his bed. And to your delight, Taehyun’s gaze also showed interest.
“No.” he said seriously, interrupting you before you could even say anything, causing your smile to crumble. “We’ve talked about this, not during concerts and promotions.” He said slowly, making sure that the other understood. You rolled your eyes.
“Oh come on.” You huffed, standing up and approaching Taehyun, wrapping your arms around his larger body. You smiled when your realize, Taehyun didn’t pull away. “You’re so tense…”
“Y/N”
You just nibbled Taehyun’s ear in response, fiddling and messing up his hair and, damn, Taehyun was so hot. You already felt as hard as a stone to have him in his arms, clean and smelling good, wearing only a robe, since knowing him well, he probably wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
“Are you an animal or what?” Taehyun gasped, failing to maintain a serious posture in front of the elder man, exposing his neck and giving you more room to act. You, who is no fool (ur super smart), immediately took advantage of this, leaving a trail of kisses on his skin as he ran his hands alonf the others body. A stronf and tasy body, just the way you likedit.
To be honest you still found it surreal the situation you were in, having a beneficial friendship relationship (im sorry wtf) with none other than Kang Taehyun, his crush…
“Y/N, seriously, we’re not even home…”
“But we are alone. And the reason why you don’t like to have sex with me when we are on tour or performing is because you’re afraid that you wont be able to dance the next day, but we don’t have a performance tomorrow.” You insisted, as you untied Taehyun’s robe a bit. And well, he didn’t stop you.
“pfft, I can’t believe you said that.” Taehyun laughed and patted your chest. You weren’t lying. “And look at you, as excited as I am.” You smiled, opening your robe. Taehyun narrowed his eyes and looked at you with an expression that should have been threatening but failed miserably.
“Well, just this once.” Agreed Taehyun.
You didn’t need anything else, you grabbed the boy by the thighs and lifted him while Taehyun whined and laughed. The tasty echoing laugh that made your heart warm up and squeeze. “Oh Y/N, you’re like an animal in heat, all impatient.” He scoffed, and you just smiled broadly as he threw him onto the bed, crawled over him and opened his robe.
“When it comes to you yes. And don’t pretend to be any less perverted than I am.” You added, whole nibbling and teasing one of his nipples. Sure, you would love to kiss Taehyun now, but you were already breaking a rule and maybe it was better to not push your luck… You didn’t want or need to think about that right now.
At that moment, it was just sex between friends with benefits. And while you were not so good at playing that role, you were certainly good at fucking Taehyun and making him forget everything.
And that’s what you did.
im throwing up in a good way kind of. why is this so cringe. lord! um um yeah um yeah mhm, i think yep sorry for how cringey this was.

WHAT IS LOVE? — THIRTY FOUR
PAIRING ₊˚⊹ lee juyeon x f!reader
SUMMARY ₊˚⊹ all is well in the business of matchmaking. except it’s actually not, because lee juyeon, the school’s star baseball player, has just come to you for help in obtaining the girl of his dreams. oh yeah! and he happens to be the guy you’ve had a crush on since your first year of university.
MORE ₊˚⊹ i’m gonna throw up
˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖ ˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖ ˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖
THIRTY FOUR — Our Love Loop (2.62k)
Juyeon was in way over his head, he concluded after your conversation.
The truth of the matter was, he was lying out of his ass. He did not actually have two tickets to see the Barbie movie. He just knew you really wanted to see it and he didn’t have any other elaborate ideas to make a confession. If he did everything right, maybe you’d accept him.
This was what brought him to Soyeon’s apartment, begging on his hands and knees.
“Please, I need them, Soyeon,” he pleads, clasping his hands together. “This is a life or death situation. Do you want me to die? You want me to die, huh.”
She scoffs at him from her spot on the couch. “Get up, you fucking weirdo. Why do you even want my tickets so bad? Miyeon and I have been wanting to see this movie for months, why should I give them to you?”
Juyeon gives her the biggest puppy dog eyes he can muster as he gets up from the floor and sits on the ottoman in front of her. “Because, I panicked and told Y/N that I had tickets and I would take her. She’s also wanted to see this movie for a really long time. This is my chance to tell her how I feel.”
Soyeon sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. On one hand, she knew Miyeon would throw a fit because she was so excited for the movie, having bought an entire pink outfit and everything. But on the other hand, her friend looked really desperate and she felt bad for him.
As stupid as he could be sometimes, Juyeon had a big heart. He was the type to make really dumb decisions without thinking them all the way through, but he meant well. This entire situation was a headache for sure. However, she wanted nothing but the best for her friend. And that included a happily ever after.
“Fine,” she groans, opening up her phone to transfer him the movie tickets. “You can have them. Only ‘cause I want you to fix things with her. She’s been suffering for way too long.”
Juyeon smiles widely, fist bumping the air and then shaking her by the shoulders. He doesn’t stay at the apartment much longer, going back to his own to put the evening together perfectly. When he truly thought about it, he doesn’t know how he didn’t realize he had feelings for you sooner. He rented out a fucking roller rink for you. And supposedly that was a fake date. While he only took Tzuyu out for lunch. Clearly there was some bias there.
He figures that you’ll be too invested in the movie for him to confess then, besides the whole no-talking-in-the-theater thing. He decides he’ll do it during dinner, after he’s already gotten into your good graces with the movie. He doesn’t know what he’s going to say, but wants to leave that for later. If he practiced his speech then it’d sound scripted and he wanted to speak from the heart. You deserved something authentic.
Back at your own apartment, you’re losing your mind.
You were entirely confused by this turn of events. It was a bit odd that Juyeon wouldn’t go with any of his friends to the movies. It was even weirder that he wouldn’t take the girl he was seeing. You were like, at the bottom of the totem pole when it came to his list of friends. You assumed you’d be the last person he thought of.
In fact, you hadn’t even talked to him much since he asked out Tzuyu. You were too upset to see his face and even more upset that it was game over for you. Looking at his name at the top of your screen hurt you more than you’d like to admit. But right now you were trying to ignore that. This was a win in your book and you needed to appreciate it.
That’s your mindset as you get ready for the evening. Much like you did for the roller rink, you dressed very Barbie-esque. You wore a light pink cami dress with some white kitten heels. Even though you wanted to look your best, you also didn’t want to overdo it and try too hard. This wasn’t a date. You were just friends. It’s as you’re applying some lip gloss, that a knock echoes through your empty apartment. (Yuqi had left earlier in the day to hang out with her friend Shuhua, so you were alone as you got ready.)
You grab your purse and quickly go to answer the door. Juyeon stands there, his back to you as he waits. When he hears the door open, he turns around, hands in his pockets. You think you might faint from how good he looks, clad in a white dress shirt and some black slacks. You don’t even care that the two of you are completely overdressed for the movies. Your brain feels like it had just been shaken around like it was tossed in a cocktail shaker and you’re sure you’re staring.
But because you’re so distracted, you don’t see him doing the same. You were actually breathtaking, Juyeon thought to himself. There was no wonder Lee Minho looked at you the way he did. Anyone could fall in love with you upon a glance and he’s surprised it took him as long as it did. The sight of your smile alone was enough to make the strongest of men weak.
When a couple moments have passed by of just the two of you gawking at each other, he realizes you should probably get going if you want to make it to the movie on time. He clears his throat, scratching the back of his neck.
“Are you ready to go?” His voice is a little strained and he hopes you can’t hear it.
You nod, afraid your own voice will betray you. He grins and leads you to his car. You were too absorbed with how handsome he looked to even think about him coming to your door to get you, rather than standing outside his car like he usually did. He goes as far as opening and shutting your door for you, running around to get in his own side. He reaches into the backseat and you hear some crinkling, only for your eyes to be met with a familiar bouquet of lilies.
Before you can even process anything, he’s driving off and to the theater. Your mind feels mushy, like potatoes given to a toddler. What were you supposed to make of any of this? Of the flowers? Of the paid for movie and dinner? Of the dressing up? God you can even smell his cologne, the scent lingering around you in his car. It’s woody and so very Juyeon. You want this to fill your nostrils for the rest of your life.
It was official. You’d lost your sanity.
You’re thankful he brought you to a movie you’d actually been wanting to see, so it’s easy for you to momentarily forget about the boy in the seat next you as you’re immersed into the world of Barbie. At least the big man upstairs thought you deserved one win for once.
Because you’re so into the film, you fail to notice that Juyeon is not. He really tried to pay attention, especially since he literally begged for these damn tickets, but he couldn’t. His eyes would stay on the screen for a total of five seconds before flickering back to you in his peripheral vision. The smile on your lips didn’t leave the whole hour and 54 minutes you were in that theater.
The way the colorful lights flashed across your features and lit them up had his heart swelling. If he thought you were beautiful earlier, that was incomparable to how you looked sitting there and watching the movie, so blissfully unaware of how you were ten times more fascinating.
The one part he could recall, was the way Ryan Gosling’s Ken stared at Margot Robbie’s Barbie like she was the only thing in the world. There was a tenderness in his eyes that Juyeon understood all too well. It was the same look he was giving you throughout the film, only knowing when to laugh because you were laughing or knowing when to clap because you were clapping.
He couldn’t believe it was possible to be this down bad.
For dinner, he takes you to the same cafe you always find yourselves at. Except instead of eating actual dinner, you both order French toast. He bites down a grin when the waitress makes a comment about how cute of a couple you are. You flare up with heat and you attempt to hide your face by sipping at your iced tea.
“Thank you for the movie, Juyo,” you finally speak up, playing with your straw. “I was kinda sad that I wasn’t going to see it after all.”
“Truth is, I might have lied about the whole ticket thing...” He admits sheepishly, nibbling the inside of his cheek.
Your eyebrows furrow together. “What do you mean?”
“I didn’t actually buy tickets two weeks ago,” he chuckles nervously. “I begged Soyeon to give me hers.”
“Why would you do that?” You ask, dumbfounded.
“Because you wanted to see it, and I needed an excuse to see you.”
Your eyes widen, not at all expecting that answer. You don’t even know what to say to that. What were you supposed to make of this information? What did he mean he “needed an excuse to see you”? The delusions were beginning to run wild in your head.
“W-Wha— huh?”
“What I wanted to talk to you about— what I needed to talk to you about,” he says, avoiding your eyes. “Taking you out tonight is a part of it.”
You feel like you just died and resurrected all at once. Something akin to a mixture of choking and a strangled cry escapes from your throat, causing you to slap a hand over your mouth. This was taking you out? Did Lee Juyeon realize he was driving you insane? Or was that just a hobby of his?
“I’m confused,” you blink, talking through the cracks of your fingers. “What did— what did you want to talk to me about?”
The waitress brings your French toast and places the plates in front of you just as he opens his mouth to speak. As sweet as she is, you think you might wrap your hands around her throat and wring her neck for interrupting. The longer your questions are left unanswered, the more your rationality wears thin. The older lady comes back with some syrup and a can of whipped cream before disappearing, leaving the two of you alone.
“Tzuyu and I are not a thing anymore.” He informs you, so blunt and nonchalantly like it was no big deal as you’re digging into your food. You’re pretty sure you actually choke this time.
“Wha— why? What happened?” He’s not giving you much to work with, so you don’t know if you should express feigned sympathy or cheer with glee.
“Two things,” Juyeon squints at you, licking his thumb and wiping something off of the corner of your lips. “Sorry, you had some whipped cream there.”
You died and resurrected again.
“Two things?”
“Reason number one is because she actually turned out to be a lesbian.” He snorts, taking a bite of his own French toast and humming in satisfaction. Your eyes nearly bulge out of their sockets after that revelation. That was a plot twist you were not expecting. You’d have to apologize to Eric later for the Hwang Yeji incident.
“How did you find that out?” You unintentionally pout. Juyeon thinks it’s the cutest thing ever and he kind of wants to kiss it away.
Woah, dude, reel it in a bit. Too soon.
“Thanks to reason number two,” he sets his fork down, putting his full focus on you. “I told her that I had feelings for you.”
If planet earth itself could pause for a minute, that’s what this moment felt like. It felt like everything around you came to a halt like the scratch of a record. All you can hear are the sounds of blood rushing to your ears and face, your pulse kicking into overdrive, and your heart rate racing. You almost pinch yourself to confirm that this is real life. When the world resumes its normal speed, you gape at him. Your lips are slightly parted and you don’t dare move a muscle, because despite your surroundings moving at a regular pace, you’re still operating in slow motion.
“Y-you what?” Is all you can muster, is all your brain can generate.
“I told her there was no way I could continue things with her because ever since the roller rink, all I could think of from the second I woke up to the second I went to sleep was you,” Juyeon confesses, not breaking eye contact. “And even then, I still saw you in my dreams. Isn’t that funny? That I never had a single dream about her? But you, God, I could dream about you forever and never get sick of it. You’re the true girl of my dreams, Y/N.”
You think you might cry, or maybe you already are, because your bottom lip is quivering and your cheeks feel wet. This is all you’d wanted to hear from him for years. Juyeon gives you an affectionate smile, reaching across the table to wipe your tears with his thumbs, cupping your cheeks.
“Why are you crying?” He laughs as you nuzzle your face into his palm.
Truthfully, you don’t know why you’re crying yourself. Perhaps you were just overjoyed, or overstimulated, or both. You thought you’d be stuck with unrequited love forever, that you’d be a background character as he moved on with his love life. This was so much better.
“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for you to say that,” you tell him, sniffling. “Since first year College Algebra, I’ve wanted to be yours, Juyeon. Other guys came and went, but they never held a candle to you. My heart always wandered back to you.”
“I’m sorry I made you wait so long,” he frowns. “I’d love nothing more than to have you as mine. If you’ll have me too.”
You nod almost frantically, like he might retract the offer. He leans over to press a gentle kiss to your forehead, and then to your nose, then your cheeks, then each corner of your mouth, pausing when he gets to the center. You feel the warmth of his lips over yours, testing the waters to see what he can get away with. His eyes glance back and forth from yours to your mouth.
“Can—”
“Please kiss me already.”
He lets out a breathy laugh. “Yes, Ma’am.”
As soon as his lips envelope your own, it’s like the stars have aligned at last. It’s as sweet as candy. It feels like you're flying in the sky, passing each and every cloud in your path. It makes everything so much more beautiful, like the sun shining after a rainy day. This giddy, fuzzy feeling courses through your veins and you don’t want it to stop, content to stay like this for the rest of time. You could’ve never predicted that you’d end up here, kissing Lee Juyeon over two plates of barely eaten French toast. But it’s enough for you.
It’s just what you needed to fill that piece of your heart that had been missing.

ok ok ok ok ok ok hear me out.... fem civillian reader stuck in a love PENTAGON with kiryu, daigo, majima, akiyama and saejima (am I crazy? Not at all) and hear me out! They all seem to get along as a group as they keep finding excuses to stay with her, they also do bicker alot with eachothers or try to steal her away for some time (none of them admit their crush to her tho), only ganging up when someone's bothering her. For some reason, Kiryu always manages to steal the show from his friends. (Oh my God I'm so sorry this is getting out of hand)
PLEASE this is so funny to me, I have been sitting on this ask for MONTHS now thinking about it. I am so sorry it took me so long but I finally have the goods, so here ya go!
First of all, the boys generally always do get along. This group dynamic is always fun to hangout with. Of course, YOU know who they are and their professions, etc. It was kind of scary at first; chances are, it was Akiyama that introduced you to the gang, as he's the only civillian there anyways.
Even though Akiyama was the one who started all this, you're pretty much equally close to all of them, the exception maybe being Daigo as he's the quietest and works the most. Chances are you just don't see him as regularly as the others.
You see Majima and Saejima the most and usually at the same time since the two tend to travel as a pair. They also bicker and tease each other (and you) the most. They're really into picking you up and carrying you around (Saejima IS better at this, by the way).
Kiryu and Daigo are more a mixed bag; sometimes you see them alone and sometimes they show up as a group since they work together. Both are always very kind and gentle around you but Daigo is the most noticeably shy at first. However, ironically he's the one that opens up the most around you as time goes on.
Akiyama is the first to notice that the other boys seem to like you as more than friends. He NEVER mentions this to you directly but he does love to stir the pot and ask you what you think of the other guys. He sometimes teases the guys as well, but only when you're not around. Mostly because he's fully aware he's had a crush on you for a while now and he can't blow his cover... but he also totally wants to sniff out how you're feeling or how they're feeling.
Kiryu is the hardest one to detect, man's stoic as hell. Honestly, he'll be the last one to realize he has a crush on you. Most of the time he's like "What? This is just how I am..." only to fully realize much much later that he is in fact only this way with you specifically and therefore you're really special to him.
Majima's the most likely to get physical with you but not in a sexual or uncomfortable way. He's a hugger for sure, which only makes Saejima and Daigo jealous in particular. Leans his head on your shoulder a lot too. Generally speaking, he's good at getting into close proximity with you.
Majima and Saejima compete the most. Very much "anything you can do, I can do better" deal which is hilarious for you and Akiyama to watch especially. There's been a couple times where the two of them bit off more than they can chew in a drinking challenge or something like that.
Akiyama teases them about it often, which only makes the three of them bicker more. Bickering just makes Daigo kind of shake his head or he'll try to make them make peace with each other which only makes them bicker with him, and so it goes on and on to your amusement.
Leave it to Kiryu to, whether he knows it or not, use these moments to get closer to you. He'll kind of just sigh and say something like "Ah, they're at it again, aren't they..." and joke about it with you. It isn't until the other four are done having their little tussle that they realize you'd spent the whole time just talking to Kiryu instead.
No one gets upset about it, although Majima might make some comment about Kiryu hogging your attention. It's always a little strange seeing some of the top brass of the Tojo Clan making a fuss over you; after all, you don't think you're all THAT special. Problem is, you are, very much so, to all five of them!

Can you plz do a fic where vinnie and y/n hate each other. Y/n gets in a fight with someone in the hype house(maybe Mia) and expects vinnie to be on miss side but he’s on her side. ❤️❤️❤️
𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗱
𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: vinnie hacker x fem!enemy!influencer!reader
𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: sometimes, arguments can bring out sides of people that you never even knew existed..
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: swearing, arguing/fighting, vinnie being a dick but also being somewhat sweet
𝗔/𝗡: this one is short yet it took me a while to finish, but i hope you enjoy! thank you for being so patient.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
everything was always competitive between you and vinnie and no one really understood why.
from the moment you first joined the hype house, he was distant. the last one to talk to you and the first one to leave the room and go back to his video games— but you assumed that was just how he was. as time went on, you began to realize that he just didn’t seem to like you,
and that pissed you off.
you were always a people pleaser, and while you were totally fine having someone dislike you, you needed to have an explanation as to why in order to move on. you pulled other members of the hype house to the side and individually asked them if they knew how vinnie felt about you and to your dismay, they didn’t know. you were quite shy and didn’t wanna push it so you never made any real efforts to get to know the guy, but you never excluded him the way he excluded you.
it was stupid shit too, like holding the door for everyone else but letting it close on you, and insisting on using the living room tv right when you were about to, or even taking too long in the shower knowing that you were waiting on the other side of the door. but stupid or not, it all added up and you became sick of it.
asking everyone about vinnie had led the house to believe that you were crushing on him, and being oblivious to this, you’d always be confused when you’d walk in on a conversation with the others and they’d all drop their words and become peaceful. vinnie had no idea that they thought this, and never really spoke to them about you in the first place.
you were the two individuals in the house. he’d be in his room gaming and you’d be in yours on instagram live. you liked it that way and had no intentions of changing it— but being in a constant feud with the boy for reasons unknown, was definitely impractical and you could tell that it made the others in the house uncomfortable. after living there for four months, you’d still just send him death glares from across the room and he’s mirror your actions.
you began to hate him for hating you, and the two of you became enemies.
“yo, vin! toss me that?” thomas called out, making vinnie throw a water bottle in his direction, not even waiting for you to move.
shrieking, you quickly slid out of the way, the water bottle missing you by mere centimeters.
“my bad.” vinnie chuckled.
“nice aim.” thomas joked, picking up the water bottle that had dropped to the floor.
“wasn’t aiming for you.” vinnie smirked, walking by you without even giving you a second glance and keeping his gaze on his phone. rolling your eyes, you stopped him once you saw the towel he was holding in his hand.
“hey, use the other shower!” you chased after him, your socks pounding against the stairs as you heard the familiar giggle escape the boys mouth.
“VINCENT!” you shouted, slamming your palms against the locked bathroom door. “why don’t you use the other shower?!”
“i like this one better!” he called out, the amusement seeping out from his voice and under the crack of the door. “you use the other one!”
“i can’t! all my stuff is in this one!” you whined, knowing that he was fucking with you and didn’t care about what showed he used.
“what stuff? oh this… lavender body wash?” he read out the label on the bottle, using his other hand to turn the dial to the shower.
“DON’T TOUCH THAT, THAT’S MINE!”
“hmmm, i don’t know y/n! i like lavender!” he smirked, taking his clothes off and getting into the shower.
“fucking dick…” you mumbled, walking back to your room and deciding to just scroll through tiktok while you waited for your annoying roomate to finish.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
wiping the smoggy mirror with a towel, vinnie looked himself over before emerging from the bathroom. he was met with the sound of two girls arguing. walking down the hallway with his towel hanging on his hips, he ruffled his hair as he made his way towards the sound.
“mia, that’s my fucking perfume. do you know how expensive that was?!”
“y/n, you live in the hype house! don’t even act like it’s a lot of money.” mia rolled her eyes, standing over you as you sat on the bed, your favorite perfume in your hand. “it’s marc jacobs, it’s not that expensive.”
“it’s not even about that! it’s disrespectful and i’ve been looking all over for it!” you fumed, rubbing your temples as you put the bottle down on the floor. “you literally rummaged through my room and took one of my things without asking and kept it with you for two weeks and you don’t see a problem with this?!”
“no, y/n! we live together, the guys borrow each other’s things all the time.”
“so?! don’t assume that i’m okay with it just because everyone else is! you went through my personal belongings!”
“you’re so overreacting.” mia slouched over, facepalming and ignoring everything that you were saying.
“really?! fucking ask anyone, mia. it’s plain disrespectful.”
“okay, i will!”
vinnie heard mia’s movement and quickly skipped by the room, hoping she wouldn’t see him and catch him eavesdropping— but of course— she did.
“hey, vinnie!” tapping him on the shoulder, y/n groaned.
“yeah?” the boy turned, acting as if he had no idea what was about to happen.
“come here for a second, i need you to prove my point.” mia touched his arm and led him into your bedroom, you groaning at the boys presence. “is it completely normal to borrow things from your roommates?”
“you’re just asking him because you know he disagrees with everything i say!” vinnie looked between the two girls, seeing your distress in your eyes and for the first time, not feeling that satisfaction that he felt when he caused it.
you were his to stress out, not mia’s.
“actually, mia, i think y/n is right.”
your expression dropped and mia swung her head back to face him, seeing whether he was just joking. vinnie kept his expression flat and tried his best to ignore your gaze burning holes in him.
“you can’t be serious?”
“no, really. as much as it pains me, i think she’s right. you should have asked first.” he gulped, pursing his lips together. you tried your best to ignore those signature tattoos that scattered his abs and balled your hands into fists. “plus, y/n is nice so i’m sure she would have shared if you just asked.”
mia scoffed before turning back to face you. “fine. i’m sorry, you were right. i won’t take anything from you anymore.”
not even giving you time to reply, she stomped out of the room, leaving you and vinnie alone. a moment of silence passed before vinnie awkwardly excused himself.
“wait!” you called out, seeing him peer around the doorframe of your room.
“yeah?”
“thanks….”
“don’t kid yourself, y/n. you’re still my least favorite in the house.” he lied through his teeth, walking away and into his room.

the ceo's son ✧.* [ pt. 7 ]
⊹ pairing: choi soobin x f! reader
⊹ genre: strangers to friends to potential lovers
⊹ warnings: tiny death joke again, sorry - i do that a lot
⊹ wc: 4.1k
summary: you've been an intern at c company for roughly over four months now - directly under the ceo as his assistant. everything was going perfectly: you were saving up money to attend uni next year, and you knew that you were under the ceo's good graces to receive a great recommendation when the time came! in fact, he took a liking to you so much that he'd often joke that he wanted to set you up with his son.
at least ... you thought it was a joke.
your entire body and soul was absolutely reeling from the second you went to sleep, to when you woke up this morning, and even by the time you were back at work.
just as usual, it was none other than choi soobin who occupied the reserved location in your mind. at this point, he was truly living rent free in your head with an ocean view.
this time, in comparison to the last, it was on a much happier note. all you could think about, from the moment the two of you parted ways last night, was the delicate softness of his lips as they pressed against your knuckles in the form of a goodnight.
you practically cradled your hand the entire night as the smile on your face permanently glued itself to your lips.
despite having been exhausted before, soobin's gesture ended up waking every nerve in your body. it erupted from where his lips had first grazed your hand, traveling all the way to your heart and igniting endless fireworks.
it took you way too long to fall asleep after that, unable to keep yourself from giggling every few seconds as you felt the ghost of his lips again and again.
"miss y/n, you appear to be much happier this morning," mr. choi's voice spoke through your daze - causing you to realize you had been mindlessly cradling your hand again as you thought back to soobin's kiss.
blushing in embarrassment, you found yourself pursing your lips together to suppress the giant grin that was threatening to reveal itself. "yes i am, sir," you answered simply.
you had turned back to the files placed in front of you, getting back to work to organize everything you had missed from yesterday. you were surprised there wasn't as much as you had expected, but you were definitely not one to complain.
although, while you had distracted yourself, you didn't realize the seriousness that had suddenly overcome the ceo's features.
he was delighted to see you happy, of course, don't get him wrong, but he couldn't help but to ponder on a very suspicious feeling as to why.
after a few more minutes, mr. choi had spoke up again. "do you have any prior plans for lunch today, miss y/n?"
the answer to this was a definite yes.
with his son.
although, you and soobin were still in agreeance to keep his father from meddling between the two of you. sure, he was the reason that you two came together in the first place, but you both would rather it be left at that.
with your friendship going as smoothly as it was, neither of you were open to the idea of the grown man forcing anything to occur if neither of you were ready.
of course, you agreed to this matter before you realized your developed crush on his son, so you were no longer as opposed to the idea of his father attempting to play cupid.
"i do, sir, with ... a friend," you finally answered him, though scolding yourself in your mind for hesitating.
just as you were afraid of, the ceo picked up on it. he figured not to pry for an excuse this time, though - instead, he opted for a different approach.
"ahh, you can't keep avoiding lunch with your boss forever," mr. choi grumbled now, standing from his desk. "i expect you to join me this afternoon. i will not take no for an answer."
you gulped, trying your hardest to not scream at the man.
the last thing you wanted to do was upset him, but that didn't exactly mean you wanted to tell him the truth either.
"but- but sir, i told you, i already-"
"with who, hm?" he began to interrogate, his eyes narrowing as he studied your features. "another boy? is it a date?"
your mouth dropped and your entire face began to glow the deepest shade of red from embarrassment. his sudden questions caught you completely off guard, leaving you completely unprepared to answer the jealous man.
this finally allowed you to realize that mr. choi was wholeheartedly accusing you of avoiding lunch with him because you were seeing another boy, thus betraying his own son.
what he didn't realize was that his son is the other boy!
"sir, i'm not- no, there's no-," you turned towards a thoroughly shocked mr. jeong, silently pleading for at least some sort of assistance.
clearing his throat, and trying not to laugh as well, mr. jeong finally stepped up to play middleman.
"mr. choi, it is inappropriate to accuse your intern of any personal affairs that she may be a part of," he explained formally, adjusting the glasses that were resting on the bridge of his nose. "and miss y/n, surely it wouldn't be an issue to join your ceo for lunch at least once more?"
his statements left both you and mr. choi equally stunned, seeing the faults in both of your standpoints.
mr. choi realized he was completely overreacting, getting too ahead of himself and his investment in your relationships. he felt embarrassed for having acted unprofessional in a matter that did not concern him one bit.
you, on the other hand, did also find it unfair to have been rejecting mr. choi's lunch invitations every single day. even though it cut into time you could be spending alone with soobin, you figured it couldn't hurt to throw the man a bone every now and then.
clearing his throat, mr. choi spoke first.
"i do apologize for my behavior, miss y/n. it does not matter to me what you do in your free time, and i hope that you would forgive me for my unprofessional behavior this morning."
breaking into an amused smile, you let out a small chuckle. it was now the second time that the most important figure of the entire company was apologizing to you, and it was still just as funny as before.
"i accept your apology, mr. choi," you bowed, trying to suppress a giggle as well. "i also want to apologize for not making any time to join you for lunch. i would be happy to accept your invitation this afternoon."
your final words earned a beaming smile from the grown man. completely forgetting your earlier squabble, he immediately began rambling on about making the perfect reservation at some restaurant he recommended, but you didn't pay too much attention.
you were too busy thinking of how you were going to warn soobin.
excusing yourself for a brief moment, you stepped out of the ceo's office and into the empty hallway. making sure to distance yourself from the door, so as not to risk any eavesdroppers, you dialed soobin's number.
the first ring alone had your heart racing, and you couldn't help but to feel silly. you both have spoken on the phone many times by this point, but the butterflies in your stomach still grew nervous at the thought of hearing his voice.
"y/n? hey, give me one second," soobin's beautiful voice finally came through after two rings. after a few seconds, his voice came back. "okay, what's up?"
"i needed to tell you that your dad kind of cornered me into accepting lunch with him today," you told him, chewing nervously on your lip as you waited for his response.
you could hear him sigh on the other, and you began to wonder if he was pouting in that cute way he usually did. "does that mean we have to act like we barely know each other in front of him?"
"unfortunately yes," you giggled. "as far as he knows, we've only met about twice now."
"ahh this crazy man," soobin groaned, and you could even picture him shaking his head on the other end. "i guess i'll wait for his message about where we'll meet then."
"at least i'll still get to see you," you cooed, only slapping your hand over your mouth a second too late.
you began to furiously motion slapping your own forehead at your stupidity, only refraining from actually doing so incase soobin happened to hear over the phone. you couldn't believe you blurted something so embarrassing without even thinking about it.
"trust me, i can't wait to see you either." your heart practically flipped at his words, and you wished it was as easy to race across the city to see him now. "i should probably get back to ... class now, though."
"you were in class?! why did you answer then?" you began to scold him, looking around the empty hallway in a panic. you felt as if you were about to get in trouble for ditching.
"because it was you," soobin stated simply, but he was glad that you couldn't see how badly he was blushing on the other end. he was practically screaming in his own mind for saying something so bold.
you were quite sure that your soul just ascended. your racing heart was really the only sign that you still remained in your body at all.
he was definitely going to kill you at this rate.
"you're so dumb," you mumbled, blushing furiously and feeling the entire room heat up by 20 degrees. "get back to class already."
"alright, fine. i'll see you at lunch, y/nie."
"and i'll see you at lunch, binnie."
・❥・
you seriously couldn't imagine a single moment since you've known him that you had seen mr. choi, a fully grown man, so giddy and excited like a child – except for maybe the last time he had planned for you and soobin to get together.
"you're going to really enjoy what this restaurant has to offer," mr. choi had told you during the drive, chuckling mischievously to himself.
you were already fully aware of his little plan, but you couldn't help but to find the situation so funny.
he wasn't even trying to be subtle.
while you were sitting beside mr. choi, you were trying very hard to hide your phone from view while secretly messaging with soobin.
apparently he had arrived first, just like last time, and was waiting for you both at the front entrance.
your knees began shaking excitedly at the thought of being able to see soobin again. you only wished that his father was not tagging along to ruin the moment.
another downside was knowing you'd have to pretend to be unfamiliar with soobin in front of his father. instead of being able to feel his comforting arms engulf you in the most heaven-inducing hug, you figured you'd have to result back to an awkward handshake instead.
you only hoped that mr. choi would take his leave early on as he had the first time, allowing you both to be comfortable with each other again.
when the two of you arrived to the restaurant, which you couldn't help but to feel way too underdressed for, you immediately spotted the tall boy waiting beside the entrance just as he said he would.
it took every fiber in your body to keep yourself from running over to him.
you were seriously going to lose your mind.
"ah, what's this? my son! good to see you!" mr. choi announced, acting surprised for some reason - as if the two of you didn't know full well that this entire lunch was a setup.
"dad, don't pretend like you didn't invite me here," soobin grumbled, rolling his eyes at the man.
this caused mr. choi to begin clearing his throat awkwardly, having falsely hoped that soobin would play along with his act. he did not account for him exposing his plan within seconds of greeting each other.
as he then went on to explain something about treating you both to a meal, you and soobin met eyes and stopped listening to anything else instantaneously. it felt as if you were having a million conversations at once, not needing any words to communicate. the two of you were suppressing the urge to laugh, wanting desperately to cut the act and embrace one another as tightly as possible.
and this was from only two minutes of being in each other's presence.
"well, if you two are ready, we may go eat now," mr. choi called out from the doorway, smirking pridefully at the way he caught your little staring contest.
with both of you blushing profusely, soobin then allowed you to enter ahead of him before following his father into the restaurant. unlike last time, mr. choi ended up following all the way to the table and even settled into one of the chairs.
once he insisted for you and soobin to sit side-by-side across from him, you came to the dreadful realization that the man did not plan on leaving this time around.
this was going to be a very difficult lunch for you.
although, it was going to be even more difficult for soobin.
when he had told you earlier that he was in class, he was actually in a ... rather different class than you would've expected. he was, truthfully, enrolled in a free course that was teaching him a little something that wouldn't exactly be considered education-based.
flirting 101.
with a certain four idiots playing the role as his professors.
in an attempt to slowly ease into expressing his feelings for you, soobin had shamefully turned to his friends once again for advice on how to properly flirt with you.
some of the suggestions he was given were a little too bold for his taste, such as something called a 'kabedon' that yeonjun told him about, but he was eager to try some of the smaller tips.
unfortunately, now with his father present, soobin wanted to explode in frustration at losing any chance he may have had.
he did pull out your chair for you to sit, but it wasn't enough for him to consider flirting - it was more so being respectful and polite than anything else.
the gesture still made your heart flutter, of course, but soobin didn't know that. he took your small smile as a simple thanks rather than you trying to keep yourself from melting into a puddle.
"miss y/n, did you know my son here is going to be graduating from university soon?" mr. choi spoke up, beginning the typical act of bragging about his son again.
you did know this, actually, but he didn't know that.
"no, i didn't. that's amazing to hear, i'm sure you must be proud," you spoke simply, avoiding looking directly at soobin in the fear that you'd end up bursting out laughing.
"come on, tell miss y/n about all the work you do," soobin's father urged him, giving a pointed look to force him to brag about himself to impress you.
soobin waved his hands in a small refusal, shaking his head as he turned a shade of pink all over. "i really don't do that much."
"nonsense, soobin, you're a hard worker! i know you're very passionate and determined, don't be shy!"
soobin was none of these things.
he was honestly pretty sure he had been cheating an entire class with beomgyu this semester, but he was not about to admit that in front of you or his father.
figuring his son to be a lost cause, the next few minutes consisted of mr. choi promoting soobin to you himself. he told you all about his achievements from when he was younger and even boasting about his talents.
as he spoke, you found yourself genuinely intrigued. you weren't about to deny the opportunity to hear more about soobin's childhood, so you listened intently while an amused grin graced your lips.
soobin, meanwhile, was chewing on his bottom lip as he watched you from the side. you were absolutely breathtaking to him, and he wished he could casually reach over and tuck your hair behind your ear like they do in the movies - a suggestion taken, surprisingly, from beomgyu.
after having been listening to a fascinating karaoke story from soobin's father, your entire body suddenly jolted up as a sudden spark emitted from a place on your thigh.
you no longer could process anything around you, only focusing on the new presence of soobin's hand.
every butterfly in your system was awake once again, fluttering in every part of your body. there was no way no one in the entire restaurant could not hear your pounding heart at this rate, as you were pretty sure it was about to burst out of your chest at any second.
you had been afraid that you wouldn't be able to act comfortable with soobin all afternoon, but you never expected for the cute boy to be so bold despite his father sitting directly across from you.
truth be told, though, he was actually aiming to secretly hold your hand under the table, but he blindly shot too far. with a shaky breath, he figured he was in too deep and left it at that - his heart pounding maniacally as he waited for you to push his hand away yourself.
it surprised you both when neither of you made any move to change your position.
you were more focused on not becoming an obvious blushing mess, while soobin was trying to remember how to breathe.
mr. choi, however, appeared to be none the wiser. he was now boasting about some other impressive achievement of his son's, paying absolutely no mind to the new shade of pink that both of your faces had turned.
"now what about you, miss y/n? i've been bragging about my son this whole time," mr. choi finally earned your attention. "why don't you tell us some things about yourself?"
'sir, i would rather die.' you thought to yourself.
unsure of what to even talk about, you began to describe simple things about your own family. you even briefly mentioned your own achievements as well, figuring it would definitely be something his father would be interested in.
although, you couldn't help but feel like you were a talking resume after a minute. talking about yourself made you feel like you were applying to be his son's wife rather than just making conversation.
amidst the story about your college acceptance, your breath suddenly hitched mid-sentence as you felt soobin's thumb slowly graze along your skin.
you had to quickly reach for your water and take a long drink to play off your embarrassment, refusing to meet either of their confused expressions.
soobin's confusion was more of an act, though. if he was being honest, he was biting back the smirk that wanted to take over his entire face as he saw your reaction to his touch. he was never one to be very confident in his actions, but this gave him a bit of an ego boost he wasn't expecting.
"ahh, sorry, i got- i got something stuck in my throat," you lied, clearing your throat and lightly patting your chest to play onto the act.
"here, let me ask for more water for you," mr. choi told you, genuinely concerned, and began motioning towards a waiter for their attention.
while the man was distracted, you risked a glance over to the boy beside you. you realized it was a mistake after you saw him flashing his dimple mischievously, deepening the shade of pink on your cheeks to a red now.
why was he acting so confident all of a sudden??
what did it mean?!
you turned your head to look at the waiter now, smiling thankfully as he refilled the water in your glass. too many questions were racing through your head now, most of it concerning what the possible reason could be behind soobin's actions.
you couldn't help for one particular thought to consistently occur every time you thought it over ... wondering if maybe soobin's feelings reciprocated your own.
regardless of the answer, you weren't confident that you would be able to survive through the remainder of the afternoon at the rate things were going.
・❥・
surprisingly, you did end up making it through the afternoon.
you were thankful, and maybe a little bit disappointed, that soobin hadn't done anything else to earn anymore reactions on your part. he had even ended up removing his hand whenever the meals had arrived.
what he didn't know was that you secretly yearned for it again immediately afterward.
from thinking he was upset with you yesterday to having him driving you insane today, you did not see yourself living a long life with soobin by your side.
one of these days, he was going to make your heart completely stop.
"thank you for lunch, sir, i greatly appreciate it," you thanked mr. choi on your way out, not wanting to forget his kind gesture - regardless of what his true intentions may have been.
the man chuckled heartily, nudging soobin to take notice of your politeness as he wiggled his eyebrows.
"ahh, miss y/n, it is always a pleasure of mine to treat such a wonderful intern to a nice meal," he told you, the smile of his even reaching up to his eyes. "and, of course, my son as well."
soobin scoffed, rolling his eyes as he felt like more of an after thought.
"if you two will excuse me, i have to call for our ride. allow me one second," mr. choi dismissed himself, taking out his phone and walking a distance away to probably call for mr. jeong to arrive with the car.
once you deemed he was far enough from earshot, you immediately turned to soobin and lightly smacked his arm, earning a small 'ow' through his laughter in response.
"what is wrong with you?" you questioned him with a nonthreatening glare. "why would you do that in front of your dad?"
"do what?" he asked you in a teasing tone, his tongue poking between his teeth as he smiled mischievously at you.
you could only squeeze your lips together in embarrassment, now avoiding his eyes as you felt your face begin to heat up again. you were still too shy to even say it out loud, seeing as thinking about his hand alone had the butterflies acting up in your stomach.
"look at you, you're so cute," soobin cooed, poking cutely at your blushing cheeks.
you swatted his hand away, but he continued to smile at you adoringly as he carefully studied your reaction. he found everything about you truly so cute.
"alright, mr. jeong will arrive here shortly," mr. choi's voice suddenly announced, causing you and soobin to instinctively take a step back from each other.
as if something that obvious wouldn't catch the older man's attention. in fact, he was very aware of it - he just chose to it ignore for both of your sake.
the three of you walked together to the end of the sidewalk, waiting for the next few minutes for your escort back to the company. mr. choi had offered for soobin to join them, but he insisted he needed to catch a separate ride to make it back in time for his next class.
mr. choi almost wanted to insist he join you both anyways, but refrained from doing so in order for his 'determined, hard working son' to make a good impression.
once the car arrived, mr. choi bid his son farewell and entered the vehicle first.
not wanting to think twice and regret it, soobin caught your hand before you could turn away and quickly earned your surprised attention.
with a soft graze of his free hand, he delicately pushed a loose strand of hair to cutely tuck behind your ear. the gesture left a shiver running through your entire body, and you sincerely forgot how to breathe.
using the hand that still held yours, he lifted it up and softly pressed his lips to your knuckles just as he had the night before.
when he looked up to meet your eyes, he cutely took notice of your dazed, lovesick expression watching his every move. he couldn't help the dimply smile that glued itself to his face, finding you absolutely beautiful once again.
now more than ever, he was finally sure.
"i'll see you tonight, okay?"
you nodded absentmindedly, unable to convince yourself that you were not in a dream in this moment. you couldn't even remember entering the car after that, still replaying his touch and his kiss over and over again in your mind.
soobin watched as the car drove further and further away, his heart racing at a million miles a second despite the confidence he had previously exuded.
had he not a single braincell in his mind, he didn't think he would've been strong enough to stop himself from kissing you then and there. you looked more irresistible than ever - the way you looked at him almost being powerful enough to draw him in completely.
he didn't exactly have a plan before, but now he desperately needed one.
because one way or another, he was confessing tonight.
