About bodyguard reader, what do u think aventurine's reaction would be if he was in the sandpit and saw us since we would appear huge to him, would he tease us by asking us to pick him up(what if we actually do???) also what would his reaction be to mini reader would he pick us up and tease us??? So many possibilities I want be in each of them😔
Sorry for rambling I just had this brainrot and wanted to share it with you
Take care and don't forget to drink water<3
want to finally thank hoyo for giving us tiny Aven, the sandpit thingy is truly a blessing for creating cute (or spicy ohhh who said that who said that) fan content 🥹
I think he would differently ask reader to pick him up.
"Wouldn't it be easier for you to take care if me like that? ~"
He asks you to pick him up nonstop and has the audacity to be surprised when you do just that. Even complains that you are not careful enough with him. But would actually be pretty excited!! Likes to sit on your palm and shoulder. Would differently hug your fingers too. Would try to climb to the top of your head and probably fail 😭
WOULD ABSOLUTELY ADORE THE IDEA OF YOU SHRINKING. If you're taller than him, it would make him even more amused seeing you like this. Would enjoy calling you hus tiny darling, making a great emphasize on the word tiny. Also would immediately offer you to climb on his palm. Wouldn't force you, of course, but would be soooooo giddy if you actually agree. Carries you around proudly, making sure to be as careful as he can.
Can imagine him sulking a bit at your refusal to be carried by him.
"Oh, don't trust me? I'm quite good with my hands, you know, I'm a gambler after all. Promise I won't squish you ~ Still no? Well, it's your loss, darling"
He was really looking forward to having you on his palm :(

jus saw ur post ab sculptor etho muse joel, ik u got forcibly ejected from the writers room but if i make another writers room will u write it /hj
hey tysm! I ended up writing a little something so it will be below <3 this is mostly just Cleo helping Etho realise what might be going on with his struggles to sculpt. I hope people like and mostly that anyone who knows anything about art would write for it too (I know nothing!)
"So, first things first! Why do you want to learn to pose armour stands, Etho? Have you got a specific project in mind?"
There's an awkward pause.
"I only ask so I can get a good idea of what to focus on. It's just good if we start our work with something you're already interested in, right?"
She's never seen Etho look so... Nervous. Learning can be a vulnerable thing, sure, but Etho has never been shy with questions and comments and the unknown the way some people are. It feels wrong to turn to insults, light as they may be, to ease the attention - they're at a complete loss on what to do other than let him work through whatever he's feeling.
"Nothing, there's nothing... Specific I had in mind. It's... I tried sculpting."
"Okay that's good. That's great! What did you like about sculpting?"
"I didn't like sculpting."
Cleo laughs, a mix of confusion and genuine amusement, "Alright! So why do you want to learn 'armorstandography' then?"
Etho is still looking down, picking what she now suspects to be dried clay or quartz from his clothes. His shoulders drop a little from their previously hunched state though, which is a good sign.
"I just figured that maybe it would be easier. N-not that what you do is easy, I mean, you're clearly very skilled, and that's why I've asked you-"
"Etho, slow down, it's okay. I am perfectly assured in what I do and how much effort it takes. But still, I appreciate it."
"I thought maybe something with color would be more, familiar? I like vibrant colors and how they go together, and sculpting out of quartz is so... Lifeless."
Cleo shakes her head, "I won't teach you, Etho."
Etho snaps his head upwards, looking for some sign that it's some dry British humor he's missed. Cleo's face is even more stony than his recent attempts at sculpting.
"I won't teach you", they repeat, "Not for that reason. Color won't inject life into what you make, Etho. I won't teach you something that isn't true."
"Uh huh..."
"And besides, I don't think I believe you. I bet your sculptures have plenty of life in them." Cleo sees a frown pull on Etho's features, "Go on, prove me wrong."
---
Etho puts his hand on the door leading to his storage area. It's a big enough space for art projects, and it's nice to hear items sort themselves as he works, frustrated as he's been with the outcome of his endeavours recently. Cleo reads his hesitance immediately, and knows that Etho won't find comfort in their reassuring words. Here, at the doorway, she pushes past him.
She's drawn to her own face first. Sat on a block is her own head, looking back at her. She sees her own soft features, big eyes and strong nose. A dozen other faces around the room, and she can just about identify them as their friends. There's one off to the side, hidden enough to not drawn attention but not hidden too much, as if he's given himself plausible deniability for doing it. Etho's problem is not that his sculptures look lifeless. Etho's problem is denial.
It takes Cleo seconds to spot and minutes to confirm - there's only one sculpture amongst the collection that properly resembles the person it's modelled after. Every other head or bust has been affected by it, flawed in different ways but for the exact same reason. They all look a bit too much like Joel. It's in the furrow of her brow, the fierceness of Scar's smile, the curl of Doc's hair. Their eyes are all bright, smiles meeting them in genuine warmth, and Cleo can see even with just quartz how skilled Etho is at what he does.
Cleo isn't sure how aware Etho is that he's making them all in Joel's image, so they opt for asking something less direct, "What do you think the problem is? With these sculptures?"
"They're all... Wrong. I just can't get anyone right, and I'm not exactly going for artistic liberty."
Cleo laughs kindly, "That's not exactly true, is it? I can see one that's particularly uncanny."
"Uncanny valley?" Etho makes the joke before she can, but it's not what she was pitching for.
She walks over to and stands behind the sculpture of Joel. "I like this one. I've definitely seen this face before I've died a few times."
Etho laughs, and it stops the ever-shifting of his feet and the picking at his hands. He runs a hand through his hair, letting it rest at his neck as he rubs at it in slight shame. "He's, ah, a vicious one, Joel. He does this little huff thing, and it sounds like a tiger- he's always in some kind of mood and it's always so big, he can't do anything calmly or slowly, you've seen how quickly he builds, and, I just thought what's the most 'Joel' face I can think of? I remembered how he looked building that TNT cannon..."
Cleo lets him talk. It's nice, after all the awkward, to see him talk to openly about all the thoughts that went into the Joel sculpture. She can almost see what he means when he says the other attempts are lifeless; the animation in his voice when he talks about Joel makes everything else pale in comparison. She doesn't think he realises.
"Do you know what a muse is?" They ask after Etho has run himself out of steam, or perhaps noticed a conspicuous lack of interjection from Cleo, a usually very active listener.
"You mean like an inspiration?"
"Yeah! Well, sort of. In Greek mythology, the Muses were goddesses, and their domains included art of all kinds. And we've sort of derived meaning from that, so plenty of artists say they have muses that inspire them. And it helps them make art even if it's not always about them."
"Uh huh. So you think that I need to find my muse?"
"I think you already have, Etho." She looks down at the head between them, and Etho follows her gaze. Joel's eyes look back at him, intense and alive and challenging. He averts his gaze, something complicated settling over him - what they shared was so long ago, in a time and place so far from here. To feel the pull of that, it feels cosmic and mythical in a way Etho naturally rejects.
It's like Cleo can see through him, always. "It doesn't have to be complicated. It can be as simple as knowing someone well enough to capture a second of their likeness. That's what a lot of my armour stands do, they're just snapshots in time. Maybe you should just talk to Joel."
"Oh, I can't do that."
"Why not?"
"He'll be insufferable about it."
Cleo actually snorts at that. "Fine then, don't talk to him. Just make more excuses to send him mail and wait for an extrovert to bring you to his base to talk, or whatever it is that you guys do."
"You're not far off, Cleo."
"Oh, I know. I have to hear all about it."
"What?! The next time I see Scar..."
---
Joel stares back into his own eyes. The head was left at the gate to his base, like something the mafia might do as a threat. There was a single sign next to it: Feel free to alter or remove - Etho. It's incredible, seeing his likeness through someone else's eyes. He didn't know his hair was so fluffy, his smile so sharp. He picks up the head with a grunt (Bloomin' heck, is this thing solid quartz?!) and moves it somewhere it can be seen, before pulling a book from the chest under his mailbox and penning his sculptor a message.

87 and 57 with matty pls
my kink is karma, part ii - matty healy
(mdni) in which you finally, finally take matty up on his offer. 1392 words.
warnings: mentions of cheating, unprotected sex, mild degradation
You can’t stop fucking thinking about Matty. You’re doomed, damned to hell, every syllable of his name worn smooth like seaglass as you turn it over in your mind. You’ve lost count of how many times your fingers have hovered over his contact, his name in your phone having gone from DO NOT ANSWER!!!! to DO NOT TEXT!!!! to matty in the six months since your birthday.
Picking fights with your boyfriend gets easier and easier, for anything and nothing, your perfect relationship crumbling in your hands; you break everything you touch. Matty, though, is already broken. Maybe the shattered pieces of you will slot together. When Logan finally gives up and leaves you, it’s nothing like your split with Matty. There’s no screaming, no begging, no cruel words you can’t take back. No ache, no hollow regret. Just the quiet click of a door shutting on a chapter of your life you can’t have back.
And the first thing, the first fucking thing you do is call Matty. He picks up on the first ring. “Did you mean it?” you say immediately, low and slightly desperate. “That you’d be waiting?”
Matty laughs disbelievingly. “I haven’t been celibate for the last six months, if that’s what you’re asking,” he scoffs. You sniffle slightly, and he makes a soft, soothing noise, his demeanour instantly changed. “Darling, are you alright?”
“You were right,” you mumble. “I was wrong. I chose wrong. I chose wrong a year ago, and again six months ago. I just want one more chance. One chance to make the right decision this time.”
“Sweet baby,” Matty croons. “Where do you live?” You murmur your address, everything feeling slightly hazy. “I’ll be there in an hour,” he promises.
True to his word, Matty appears on your doorstep an hour later, a bottle of champagne in hand. The same champagne, you realise with a slightly delirious laugh, that he bought for you on your birthday. You let him in, your body a tight mess of feelings you aren’t sure you yet want to untangle. “Hi,” you giggle.
“Hi, baby.” The grin he breaks out in warms your heart as he sets the wine on the kitchen counter. “M’so glad you called, love. Was startin’ to give up hope,” he says, his hands finding your waist and pulling you close. “Was startin’ to think I’d never get to do this again.” His lips meet yours and your blood sings, pressing your body against his and melting under his hands. Matty licks into your mouth, deepening the kiss as you shudder.
“Want you so bad,” you whine against his lips. “Couldn’t stop thinking about you. I started… I almost… I thought about you while he was fucking me,” you confess breathlessly. Matty’s eyes light up. “I— I stayed with him for six months, and I thought about you every time. It was wrong, and I—”
He grins. “Yeah, but he didn’t fuck you the way you deserve to be fucked, did he?” You shake your head mutely. “Missed me, hm? Missed falling apart on your Daddy’s cock?”
“Yes,” you moan, shuddering as Matty kisses his way down your neck.
“Sweet girl,” he says, taking greedy handfuls of your ass. “Let me take you to bed, hm?” You moan eagerly into his mouth, Matty’s fingers nimble and yours clumsy as you tear at each other’s clothes, frenzied. He smirks as you let him into your bedroom, preening in the mirror for a second and grinning widely. “Mm-mm. No,” he says, gesturing down at the floor as you go to lay back on your bed. “Here, in front of the mirror, yeah? Wanna show my girl how pretty she is fallin’ apart for me.”
You nod, sinking to your knees in front of him and tugging his boxers down. Pressing a soft kiss to his hipbone, you wrap a hand around his cock and pump him slowly, his answering moan sending a thrill down your spine. “So eager, baby. Such a good girl. Wanna fuck you first, though, okay?” Matty sits down and pulls you into his lap, meeting your eyes in the mirror, the sight eerily familiar. He dips his head to kiss your neck, sucking bruises into your skin and laving his tongue over the soreness.
Your back arches and you grind in his lap, whimpering as Matty pinches one of your nipples and rolls it between his fingers. “Daddy, stop teasing,” you whine, gasping as he dips his fingers in your cunt, wetness pooling at his touch.
“Oh, darling. C’mon, love, on your hands and knees, yeah? Daddy’s gonna give you what you need.” He presses a gentle kiss to your shoulder as you move, stroking over the curve of your ass and murmuring soothingly. “You ready?” he asks, and you grind back against him desperately.
“Yeah, m’ready, Daddy, please, I need—” You cut yourself off with a choked-out whine as Matty fucks into you. Familiar pressure mounts between your thighs, your cunt clenching and whimpers dripping from your lips.
Matty’s fingers dig into your hips, filling you with deep, measured thrusts. “God, I love this cunt so fucking much. We’re not leaving this room for a long time, darling. Gotta make up for lost time,” he promises, something soft and adoring in his eyes as he watches you take him in the mirror. “Did he ever fuck you like this, baby?”
“N-no,” you moan, pleasure dripping down your insides. “He could never. There’s nobody as good as you, Daddy,” you promise, whimpering when Matty’s fingers come up to toy with your clit.
He smirks, the obscene sound of skin meeting ringing through the room. “Look at your reflection. Look at how gorgeous you are. So fucking gorgeous when I’m fucking you like this. So pretty for me, and only for me,” he moans, your eyes rolling back in your head despite your best efforts to follow direction.
“M’yours. Yours, all yours. Always been yours, Daddy, never stopped,” you babble, whimpering as Matty fucks deep into you, arousal dripping from your cunt.
“This slutty little pussy’s so wet for me, darling. Did you fuck anyone else, huh? Are you a cheating little slut?” he asks, low and vicious in your ear.
An impossible flare of lust coils in your belly, winding tighter and tighter with every circle of Matty’s fingers. “Y-yes,” you gasp. “Found… found guys who looked like you. I never— never called ‘em Daddy,” you hiccup as his thrusts get faster, meaner. “Never compared to you.”
“That’s right, darling,” he coos, pinching your clit cruelly, pleasure jolting up your spine. “M’your Daddy. And you’re my girl, yeah? All mine. Could do whatever I want with you, hm?”
Thick, sticky desire pumps in your veins, your heart beating in overdrive as you whimper and writhe under him. “Anythin’ you want,” you promise. “As long as you make me cum, Daddy, please!” you cry, breath coming in short, sharp gasps as you tip closer and closer to the edge.
“Yeah, darling. Been such a good girl. Cum f’me whenever you’re ready, okay?” Matty says, fucking deep into you and working two fingers in tight circles over your clit. The coiled tension between your thighs stretched to its limit before it finally snaps, your cunt pulsing achingly around him. Ecstasy winds through your bloodstream, a whining moan tearing free of your throat, and you could swear Matty murmurs, “Welcome home,” a split-second before he cums with your name on his lips. You gasp at the feeling of him spilling inside you, gloriously familiar.
“Thank you,” you say quietly as he pulls out, his gaze fixed on your messy, dripping cunt. “Needed that s’bad.” You sink to your elbows, your body limp and liquid.
Matty makes a soft, soothing noise, carefully lifting you into a sitting position. “Oh, baby. Forgot how tired you get after a good fuck. Here, c’mon, up you get,” he says, impossibly gentle as he gets you into bed, pressing soft kisses against your neck and chest.
“I love you,” you rush out as he starts to wander off to the bathroom. “I don’t think I ever stopped.”
“Oh, darling,” he says softly. “I know I didn’t. Always knew we’d end up back here. You’re it for me,” he promises, and your chest warms, everything familiar and finally slotting into place.

in the far corner of the forest IV
Pairing: Orc!Bucky Barnes x human!f!reader
Word Count: 6,535
Summary: For the longest time, the kingdom has used Bucky as their number one fighter, forcing him to win their wars for them. The only thing he asked for in return after he was done was that they give him a wife, and they did. They handed him the orphan he picked on a silver platter; it wasn't like anyone would miss her. It would've been perfect if she actually wanted to be there though.
Warnings: mentions of hand injury, idiots in love, feels, jealousy, racism against orcs, angry behaviour, shouting, fight gets slightly physical, bruised arm, crying, angst (i'm sorry). I think that's all.
A/N: good news result in long chapters. thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone who has wished me good luck with my interview, you guys are angels. please enjoyxx💜💜
~
“You’re in love.”
“I’m what now!?” Bucky chuckled dismissively as he dropped his axe.
Bucky had spent half a day at home, refraining from going to work because of his hand’s condition, but as much as he loved staying home with her, he knew he wasn’t made to take a break.
So he thought he would visit, talk to Sam for a bit and maybe get some pent up ‘feelings’ out on some tree logs. His metal arm was still working just fine after all.
“I said, you’re in love with your human wife,” Sam repeated, smiling so warmly that Bucky wanted to smack him.
“I got her a few weeks ago.” Bucky shook his head in denial of the mere idea of him falling for anyone, let alone a human.
He did love Sam and Sarah, but that was it. They were the only humans he could tolerate. He hated the rest of them. Hell, he hated the human half of himself.
Bucky was just trying to make life easier for himself, that was all. He has been through enough conflicts and he didn’t need this in his marriage too. He deserved to live a normal life like everybody else.
Yes, he was courting her, and maybe he did constantly crave the feel of her body against his ever since she let him hug her the night of the injury, and he was definitely getting hopeful now that she hadn’t tried to run for a whole half day, but that didn’t mean he was in love! Did it?
“And now you’re in love with her.” Sam smirked, knowing how much it drove Bucky crazy that a female human had him on his knees for her love.
“Quit saying that!” Bucky stood up, ready to walk away from his annoying friend.
“Why does it make you so angry that you’re in lo—”
“Don’t,” Bucky warned him, eyes angry and glaring.
“—ve?”
“I am not in love with her, okay! She’s human! Plus, that girl drives me crazy! Do you know how many times I had to bring her back after she’d tried to run in the first two weeks? Five fucking times! That’s almost once every two days, Sam. And she only had one foot working!” Bucky ranted heatedly, desperate to negate his best friend’s theory.
Was he in love with her? And if Sam could see it, did that mean she could too?
“Well, why do you care to bring her back? Why not just let her run?” Sam shrugged, internally dying for Bucky to acknowledge his feelings.
“She could die out there! Humans are weak.”
“So?” Sam probed, intentionally ignoring Bucky’s remark about humans’ strength.
“So— so I signed all those things when she was offered to me. She can’t— I can’t—”
“You can’t?”
“I can’t let her get hurt,” Bucky admitted lowly, sitting down on a log with a loud sigh.
“Why does that make you so upset?” Sam dug deeper.
“Because I think you’re right. I think I might be in love with her.” Bucky rubbed his eye with his good hand, pushing his hair back angrily.
“And?”
“And she thinks I’m the devil.” Bucky’s face fell to his palms.
“Did she ever say that to you out loud?” Sam asked, touching the end of his sharpened blade.
“She doesn’t need to, Sam. I see it in her eyes every time I find her after she’d tried to run away.” Bucky’s voice was broken like his friend has never heard before.
“I thought you said everything was better after your injury?”
“Yeah, but that’s not gonna last forever.” Bucky gave a sad grin, “she’s soon gonna go back to seeing me the same as before.”
“Well, it’s up to you to change her mind, Buck.” Sam patted his friend’s shoulder, giving a squeeze.
Bucky sighed once more before getting up.
Sam was a human. A very handsome one with much less scars and non-icy skin. He would never understand. It would never work. She hated him.
He could continue trying, but it wouldn’t change anything of the way she felt about him and their marriage. She had told him time and time again how she felt about both.
“Going home already?”
“Yeah, I can’t miss the running away bit. It’s my favourite,” he sighed, Sam's laugh trailing behind him.
“Smile at her for a change.”
“Shut up.” I do smile at her. I only ever smile at her.
“Sarah loved the jam by the way!” Sam yelled.
“I’ll let her know!” Bucky yelled back before exhaling sadly.
Sam would never understand. Her taking pity on him those past couple of hours was nothing more than sympathy and likely even guilt.
Sam would never understand that of all the eyes in the world, it seems like Bucky has managed to fall for the only ones that knew how to hurt him, the eyes that would only look at him as a disgusting, frightening monster.
~
When Bucky got home, everything was creepily in place. His door was closed like he had left it and he actually had to use his key to open it for the first time in a while.
Stepping inside, the warm smell of roast chicken welcomed him back.
The house was warm because all the windows were actually shut, too. It was all so calm and homely; the orc was seriously worried.
And then he heard it: his human wife’s sweet voice, humming the melody of a song unfamiliar to him. It sounded like it was coming from the kitchen.
Bucky carefully shut the door behind him, not wanting her peaceful mood to end so soon as he tried to take lighter steps to where she was.
Much to his dismay though, she needed something from the other side of the kitchen and when she turned around she saw Bucky and gasped, jumping embarrassingly high.
“You scared me!” She whined, holding a hand to her heart.
“Sorry.” Bucky smirked, entertained by how cute she looked when startled.
“Welcome home,” she mumbled with a bit-back grin, holding onto his forearms before getting on her tiptoes to plant a kiss on Bucky’s cheek.
She never told him, but she was unbelievably thankful when he didn’t specify which type of kiss he expected weeks ago, and even more thankful when he didn’t object to her pecking his cheek before burying herself under the covers.
Life with Bucky has gotten undeniably familiar lately and leaving him was all of a sudden an idea that didn’t interest her as much as before.
Everything he was saying and doing has brought her closer to him without her even comprehending it.
As the days passed, she had realized running away was too exhausting, too risky, and for what? It wasn’t like she had a home to run to or a treasure buried somewhere or a lover worth escaping her orc for.
Her orc.
Hers.
A word she never felt the meaning of until the day Bucky made her his wife.
Bucky was the first and only one to present to her a taste of something she has never had: the feeling of exclusively owning things.
The smile that graced her face when she brushed her hair the first time with the brush Bucky got her was new and unprecedented.
Her brush, he called it.
Her shoes. Her chair. Her towel. Her clothes. Her books. Her side of the bed. Her cottage. Her kitchen.
And her husband.
Everything was brand new and completely hers.
Nothing was handed down to her, nothing was used before the minute her fingers had touched it. None of the things Bucky gifted her had previous owners, including him and his heart.
Most importantly, she didn’t have to share any of it with anybody.
“You’re home,” Bucky said, a surprised yet very happy smile lighting up his handsome features.
“I thought the wife was supposed to say that,” she replied playfully, going back to the bubbling pot.
Bucky raised his eyebrows at the good mood she seemed to be in. He was liking this.
He watched her sprinkle some black pepper into the soup as he came behind her.
She could feel the heat of his body surrounding her even when they weren’t touching and it had her heartbeat going crazy.
“Thank you, little human,” Bucky whispered, before he leaned down and pecked her cheek as well, his stubble and blunt tusks tickling her jaw.
She felt her whole body jolt with electricity at the simple graze of his lips and tusks on her skin as she closed her eyes.
Bucky left the kitchen and went to the bathroom but she was still hot as if his warmth never left her.
And when she opened her eyes and absentmindedly reached her fingertips to touch her cheek, she found herself smiling too.
What was happening to her? What was this foreign feeling lifting her off of her feet in the middle of the kitchen?
“Sam’s sister loved your strawberry jam by the way!” Bucky shouted to her from the bathroom, making her jump again before smiling to herself.
He didn’t use Sarah’s name on purpose, not wanting to ruin her happy mood as he had noticed how angry she got every time he would say it.
“I’ll make her more tomorrow!” She replied with a grin, proud of her hand’s work, her jealousy long forgotten after Bucky’s words of the night before.
After all, how could she be jealous when she was the one that Bucky was looking at like that?
~
When she finished setting up the table and Bucky didn’t come out of the bathroom, she got a little worried.
He never took too long during his showers, and now that he only had one arm to use, she thought he would cut his showers even shorter.
What if his wound was bleeding again and he didn’t want to tell her and was trying to fix it by himself inside the bathroom? She knew she should have stopped him from going to the yard!
“Bucky.” She knocked on the door softly, wanting to make sure he was okay.
“Yes, little human?” Bucky instantly opened the door for her.
And he looked like a dream.
Steam has surrounded him inside the bathroom, water drops from his still-wet hair dripping down his muscular, bare chest and for the first time since Bucky has been naked around her, she found herself looking at him. Actually looking.
Bucky’s chest was so broad, beefy and ribbed down to his abdomen. Scars of all sizes and shapes littered the beautiful, icy greyish skin, a reminder of the battles he had fought and all the sacrifices he had made.
Her heart clenched at the sight, a pang of sympathy coursing through her as she could only imagine the pain he must have had to endure.
Still, she found her hands tingling in curiosity, desperate to know what tracing the healed skin would feel like under her fingertips.
Bucky was a sight for sore eyes, a sight that both captivated and unnerved her, stirring a flurry of unfamiliar emotions in her chest that she struggled to contain.
She averted her gaze, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over her at the unexpected intimacy of the moment.
“Are—” she chocked, her voice barely above a whisper as she coughed it out, “are you okay? You took a while.”
“Yeah, I’m just having a hard time drying up my hair with one arm,” Bucky reassured her, chuckling lightly at his dilemma as he let the towel around his neck drop.
He was completely oblivious to the way he just made her face burn up as her thoughts spiraled out of control.
“Come.” She took Bucky’s hand in hers, careful not to squeeze his palm, and led him outside to their bed.
It took Bucky a second to move his feet, but when he did, he felt like he was being carried on top of a cloud.
She felt herself drawn to him in a way she couldn’t quite explain, her heart pounding with a mixture of nervousness, curiosity and… desire. A new sensation was tingling all over her body, specifically in places she didn’t need to be tingling right now.
Positioning herself between his parted legs, she reached to take the towel from around Bucky’s neck.
His eyes watched her, surprise flickering in them as he realized what she was going to do, unable to believe what was happening.
Sensing her nervousness, Bucky offered her a reassuring, grateful smile, silently encouraging her to continue.
And as she began to carefully pat his damp hair dry, her touch tentative and her eyes focused, he felt warmth welling up inside him.
She couldn’t help but steal glances at his bare shoulder and chest, her cheeks burning with embarrassment at the engrossing sight. It was a feeling unlike anything she has ever experienced before, her heart racing with unparalleled excitement.
The awkwardness of the situation began to fade bit by bit as she focused more on the task at hand, in its place growing an overwhelming sense of closeness and familiarity.
Bucky’s hair was so soft under her fingertips as she took the towel up and down the brown locks. She wished she had given herself a chance to touch it more before.
As she finished drying her orc’s hair, she met his gaze with a shy bite of her lip, her eyes sparkling with newfound confidence.
Bucky reached out to take her hands, his smile appreciative as his lips pressed a deep kiss on each palm, silently thanking her for her kindness and care.
~
“I didn’t know your cooking was so good. You surprise me every day,” Bucky praised, as she filled his mouth with more lentil soup, trying not to think of his conversation with Sam or the way his body was still on fire from the mere act of her drying his hair for him.
He couldn’t even believe she was feeding him after seeing him struggle to keep the food on his spoon using his left hand.
“All the girls at the orphanage know how to cook. They teach us all sorts of things and make us to be good housewives,” she replied, suddenly nostalgic of her days at the orphanage, curious to know how, where and when Bucky got the chance to see her back then.
Bucky didn’t say anything, busying his mouth with chewing some bread as his smile shrank.
She didn’t look happy. Why did she stay then? Was she planning on running away at night that day? Maybe she put something in the food?
“I’m glad you like your dinner though,” she said, breaking the thick silence with a soft smile as she fed the orc a piece of chicken.
“Why didn’t you try to leave today?” Bucky couldn’t hold back.
She was taken aback by his question. She thought he wanted her here.
Was he finally done? Did he want her out? Was he not going to look for her this time? Has Bucky given up on her? Was he going to leave her be had she gotten out today?
Most importantly, she didn’t know how to answer because it seemed like she was done running away from her new life with him, and she didn’t know if she could admit that.
“I– did you want me to?” She asked, her voice strained as she tried to hold in the tears.
“No! No, of course not!” He assured her quickly.
“Then?” She chewed on her lip.
“I don’t want you to stop running if it makes you feel alive,” Bucky told her, his blue eyes gushing with love he didn’t intend to show, “I’m willing to go to the ends of the earth to find you.”
“What?” She wasn’t expecting this at all, all the tingles she had hardly managed to shake off after drying Bucky’s wet hair coming back to attack her.
How were these words coming out of an orc! And why did they make her heart stutter in its beats?
“I love your fiery spirit and I’m afraid I’m killing it by keeping you here against your wishes. I never want to be the one to snuff your fire out.” Bucky admitted, eyes sincere as he watched her.
She just stared at him for a moment, stunned as her heart skipped yet another beat.
If he only knew that he was the one who had managed to bring this fiery personality to life.
Bucky respected her silence and went back to enjoying his dinner, not wanting to push her for a reply. She could take her time.
She kept staring at him in confusion for another minute before taking her almost untouched plate and getting up.
She almost ran to the kitchen with her hand on her heart.
What was going on with her? Her heart wasn’t seriously beating this loud for the orc. Could it be?
He sounded so selfless and spoke so gently like he has never before and she was overwhelmed.
His words were doing things to her that she has never felt before. What was wrong with her?
She knew she had caught herself staring at him without a shirt just minutes ago, maybe admiring his eyelashes as he slept in some early mornings, but she rendered it curiosity and nothing more.
She shook her head, her thoughts startling to her as she emptied her plate in the garbage and started washing it vigorously.
Bucky no longer had an appetite, sighing at her reaction.
He told himself could understand, but it was still hurtful the way she jumped out of her chair.
He left his plate on the table, not wanting to invade her privacy by going to the kitchen before leaving the cottage altogether.
He probably shouldn’t have said anything.
~
She revisited the subject the same afternoon though, not wanting there to be any misunderstandings between her and Bucky. Not any longer.
“I don’t wanna leave anymore,” she admitted timidly, making Bucky’s smile betray him and his usual frowning.
“But I don’t like being locked away in here all day either,” she said carefully, scared to upset him.
“Where do you wanna go? The forest is dangerous, little human.” Bucky was back to frowning at the thought of anything bad happening to her again.
It was torture for him when her foot was still healing and he was the most relieved when it finally did. He couldn’t just let her just roam around when she didn’t know the area.
“Take me out when you come back from work maybe? Or even on your day off,” she suggested, desperate to see the world.
“And go where?”
“Anywhere. We can walk around the woods before it gets dark, you could show me your shop, I could meet Sam? Or we could even go to the market!” She suggested eagerly.
She has been locked up for so long and she didn’t want to continue her life like this.
Bucky actually thought about it and he didn’t hate the idea. Taking her out with him would ensure her safety. He would be by her side and he would protect her. He also liked the thought of taking her out and properly courting her even if she didn’t know that that was what he was doing.
He said he didn’t want to kill her spirit by keeping her in here and she gave him the solution.
“Okay.” Bucky nodded at her with a smile.
“Okay?” She exclaimed happily, not believing Bucky would actually take her out to see around.
“Okay.” He nodded again reassuringly, her happiness making him laugh.
“Well, don’t you have tomorrow off?” She asked suggestively, gesturing to his hand.
Bucky laughed, nodding, “put your shoes on.”
“Thank you, Bucky.” She involuntarily gave his healing hand a squeeze, kissing his cheek before running to get her shoes.
Bucky swallowed hard, hoping he would be able to hold himself together and not completely melt under her sweet company.
“You’ve got to promise me though,” he said.
She looked at him questioningly as she slipped one foot into a shoe.
“No running away, little human.”
“No running away. Promise.” She promised, shaking her head with a shy smile.
Bucky smiled big, taking her smaller hand in his as she grabbed her basket in the other, ready to browse the market with her husband.
Her husband. That was starting to sound unquestionably comforting.
“Oh, and one more thing.”
“What?” She tilted her head with a grin.
“You owe me a kiss,” Bucky said, his tone serious.
“No, I don’t! If anything, I just gave you an extra kiss!”
“Yes, you do. From that morning. You’re still one kiss behind!”
“I just made up for it!”
“Doesn’t count. That one covers the night before.” Bucky shrugged, a smile etched on his lips.
“Okay, fine.” She kissed Bucky’s cheek, “stop going around saying other girls’ names though.”
Bucky laughed, “I only know one!”
“Still too many,” she whispered under her breath, but Bucky heard it, smiling from ear to ear as he took his hand in hers, taking the right path out of the woods. ~ It was a beautiful afternoon, full of warm sunshine and fruitful deals. She has got some pretty good stuff for really good prices.
She couldn’t believe Bucky actually gave her pocket money.
He didn’t want her to have to ask him for money every time something caught her eye. He wanted her independent, fulfilled and brave as she bought herself whatever her heart desired.
Her heart was so full and her smile was inerasable.
Bucky didn’t let go of her hand all day and she actually liked it so much that she never complained. The feel of his calloused skin against her soft palm wasn’t like anything she has felt before.
She didn’t want to let go of his hand even while looking at the different stands and booths at the market.
But she eventually liked the flower stand too much and told Bucky she would take a look at them while he continued buying them the fruits he was picking.
“Good afteroon,” a smooth voice interrupted her admiration of the potted plants before her, making her look up for a second.
“Good afternoon.” She smiled coyly.
“Any favorites?” The handsome man inside the booth asked her.
“All of them,” she giggled softly, the sound catching Bucky’s ears at once.
The man laughed back, “okay, I think I have something special for you. How about this one?” He brought her a purple flower from the batch hidden behind him inside the booth.
“Oh, how beautiful! What is this one?” She wondered, amazement sparkling in her eyes at the sight of the pretty petals.
“That is a Globemaster Allium. Pretty, isn’t she?” He asked, staring at her desirously as she looked at the flower.
“Yes, she’s stunning!”
“I’m Cole by the way—”
She heard Bucky clear his throat next to her and looked up at once, the innocent awe in her eyes softening the orc a little.
“Look, Bucky! Isn’t this the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?” She pointed to the flower pot excitedly.
Bucky leaned in, his frown scaring her a little, her breath hitching when his lips tickled the shell of her ear, “no, little human, you’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
She chocked on her own saliva, hiding her hot face with her hand as she coughed, “Bucky!” She whined with a shy smile.
Where did that come from!
“Let’s go,” Bucky said with a nod of his head, eyes stern as he glared at Cole.
“Can—” She held his wrist, “can I have it?” She asked softly, gesturing to the flower pot.
Bucky wanted to say no. He didn’t want her to have this farmer’s flower. But he couldn’t say no to those hopeful, beautiful eyes of hers.
“Fine.” He watched her get the money out of her pocket and she smiled gratefully as she almost set them down on Cole’s counter.
“It’s on the house,” Cole said, still smiling dreamily at her.
She could all but swallow as she gave a polite smile back before looking up at Bucky for help.
“Take your goddamn money.” Bucky made a quick job of paying for the flower, taking the money from her and slamming it on the counter, making the whole booth shake.
He quickly took his wife home, deciding that was enough socialization for the both of them for the day.
She wasn’t going to lie, she was loving jealousy on her orc. It felt so intoxicating to have someone love her so much that he was jealous of other men talking to her.
She wouldn’t tell Bucky, but she would probably spend the nights of the next week smiling at the wall every time she remembered how he held her hand back home just a little bit tighter that day.
Her own heart was running wild at the sight of the orc now and she didn’t want it any other way.
~
“Now you know how it feels,” she teased with a smile as they were getting ready for bed.
Bucky couldn’t let it go, talking about how they were never going to stop by that farmer’s flower booth ever again.
“That’s not the same! I was never into Sarah! But that man was openly ogling you!” Bucky grumbled, his frown digging deep into the skin of his forehead.
“He was just being nice, trying to sell his flowers,” she laughed, upsetting Bucky even more.
How couldn’t she see it? The guy was all over her!
“He was flirting and you were all giggles and blushes.” Bucky copied her, going to the bed and burying himself under the covers, facing the wall.
He understood now why she had done that.
“Hey, that’s my spot!” She joked, not knowing if Bucky was being serious.
“Not tonight,” he murmured from underneath the covers.
“Bucky,” she whined, uncovering her orc’s face.
Bucky didn’t reply, pushing himself closer to the wall.
She tried to bring him on his back by the shoulder like he so easily did a couple of night ago, but he was too strong for her and his body wouldn’t budge.
She huffed, “okay, you left me no choice.”
Bucky remained still, wanting to see what she meant by that as he felt her shift behind him.
Before he knew it, she was on top of his bicep, trying to slot herself between his body and the wall.
“What on earth—”
“You started it, Bucky!” She said, voice determined as she kept pushing, trying to squeeze herself in the small space accessible.
Bucky looked at her in amusement for a second before moving back, making her body drop as larger space became available.
She landed with the tiniest “ouff” on the mattress, facing Bucky on her side with her back to the wall, its coolness helping soothe the heat rising to the surface of her skin.
That was the closest she had been to Bucky since their hug the night of his injury, face to face as his passionate sapphire eyes watched hers.
“Hi,” she whispered, heart in her throat.
“Hi,” Bucky replied with a charming smile, smoothing some of her ruffled strands back in place.
She stared at the orc’s eyes, not the slightest bit scared of the fact that she was trapped against the wall by his huge body.
“You’re not the only one who wants to be loyal to this marriage, Bucky,” she said, surprising Bucky and herself, “I don’t want the farmer. I don’t want anyone else.” but you.
Bucky smiled in disbelief, taken aback by her words, and she took it as permission to move closer to his chest. He instinctively wrapped her up in a protective hug, wondering how he was able to hold himself back from kissing her.
She pushed her face into her orc’s chest, his scent and warmth engulfing her into a protective bubble.
She couldn’t believe she said the words she has just said and it made her bury her burning face deeper in Bucky’s arms.
He could only hug her tighter, his nose in her sweet-smelling hair as his smile grew bigger.
This moment right there was everything Bucky has ever wished for. He could die a happy orc right then and there.
~
It became a habit for them to go out to the village on Bucky’s day off. They were both having a great time, getting closer and falling harder.
Cole hasn’t spoken to her again after learning that the snow orc was actually her husband, and she respected Bucky’s feelings and never approached Cole’s booth no matter how pretty the plants on his stand were.
Market outings were their thing now and she wasn’t going to let anything ruin that.
She didn’t want anyone else’s attention but Bucky’s anyway. His hand has almost fully healed and she could now squeeze it all she wanted whenever she got excited about anything they encountered.
One thing did occur that annoyed her though and that was the way the jewelry lady would look at her every time her and Bucky would pass by. The woman had so much pity in her eyes when she saw her hand in an orc’s and she hated it.
She despised the way people misjudged her orc when he was far better than any human man she could’ve ever ended up with.
Yet, the lady kept giving her those pitiful looks, probably thinking Bucky had enslaved her or something.
But enough was enough.
When Bucky was busy looking at the knives, she made her way to the jewelry lady, determined to put an end to the ridiculousness.
“He is my husband,” she sternly told the lady in the jewelry stand, taking the chance that Bucky wasn’t listening.
“Oh.” The lady quickly gave a kind smile, turning from concerned about her to happy for her, “I apologize for misjudging you, dear. I was only worried about you. We’ve all heard stories about him.”
“Well, that’s all they are. Stories.” She ferociously defended, her eyes still stern.
“I’m sorry,” the woman sincerely expressed her regret, squeezing her hand.
She nodded with a small smile, accepting the older woman’s apology.
“I don’t see a ring on your hand.” The jewelry lady gestured to the collection of rings in her glass box with a wink.
“Oh.”
The sentence caught Bucky’s ears as he turned away to look at her embarrassed face.
“We didn’t get time to buy one. It all happened so quickly,” she explained awkwardly and Bucky’s expression fell.
“I have a pretty collection if you wanna take a look, and don’t worry about the price,” the older lady suggested kindly.
“No, it’s okay—”
“Choose what you like, sweet thing,” Bucky whispered to her, immediately by her side when he saw her eyes skimming over the jewelry, “I’m sorry I’m not familiar with the human marriage traditions. I should’ve gotten you one sooner.”
“It’s okay, Bucky. You don’t have to,” she reassured with a tender smile.
She didn’t need a ring to know that she was Bucky’s.
“I want to. I want you to wear my ring, little human.” Bucky raised her hands to his lips, placing the softest kisses on her each finger.
Her heart surged as a shy smile spread on her lips, heat rising to her cheeks.
“Okay.” She nodded happily, feeling like she was in a dream and she never wanted to wake up.
Though very expensive, Bucky ended up buying her the ring she chose. It was the prettiest gold ring with a moss agate blue diamond.
She tried to talk him out of it, wanting to pick something cheaper, but Bucky wouldn’t have it.
She has never felt as special as she felt with Bucky’s ring on her finger. It was the prettiest thing from the most handsome orc.
And in that very moment, she was the happiest that she trusted her gut; that she gave Bucky, this marriage and herself a chance to be something more than a contractual deal.
Bucky couldn’t believe she has finally let him make her his. When he slipped that ring on her tiny finger, he felt like he was king of the world.
While walking back to their cottage, a new dream got unlocked inside of her, one that included her and Bucky and their very own little stand in the market.
“Can we stop by the shop before we go home?” She asked tentatively.
“Sure, why? Did you forget something there yesterday?”
She has been to the shop a couple of times, curious to meet the important people in Bucky’s life and possibly have friends of her own, too.
“No, just wanna show Sarah the ring,” she said, a shy smile lighting up her happy face.
Bucky brought her hand to his lips, kissing her ring finger this time, “to the shop it is.”
~
Everything was going amazingly and she wished with all her heart that it would stay that way, but unfortunately, the very next day was a day for another fight that none of them saw coming.
Bucky still hasn’t recovered from her little stunt a couple of weeks ago and today he came back to find the cottage empty again.
He should have locked the door. He shouldn’t have trusted that a ring on her finger might stop her old habits or give her a magical change of heart.
What about all the small moments she had shared? Did those mean nothing to her?
Bucky’s anger and feeling of betrayal wiped away everything nice that had happened between the two of them, only remembering that she never wanted to be here in the very first place.
“Why are you so adamant about making me lose my mind?” Bucky asked, pushing her inside and slamming the door behind them.
“I’m not! Would you just listen?!” She yelled back, startled by the harsh treatment.
“What the hell were you thinking?!” Bucky shouted as if he didn’t hear her.
“I was just—”
“Wandering through the forest alone is dangerous, I’ve told you time and again, and yet you keep doing it!”
“Would you listen to me?!”
“No! You acted like you would stop running, so what changed?!” Bucky threw his big arms in the air, making her take a step back.
Bucky looked bigger than he usually did when he was livid like that.
“I wasn’t running!” She repeated, her voice tinged with anger of her own at the distrust.
“Stop lying!” Bucky growled, roughly grabbing her by the arm.
“I’m not lying,” she insisted as she tried not to wince at the way Bucky held her forearm, her jaw clenched defiantly.
“Then what were you doing up the hill, huh?” Bucky unconsciously squeezed her arm harder.
“You’re hurting me.” She tried to pull away, but Bucky wouldn’t release her.
“You think you’re the only one who has fucking feelings?” Bucky shook her in his hold, unintentionally bruising her further.
She cried out but it fell on deaf ears, “Bucky, let me go!”
“Do you think what you do doesn’t affect me just because I’m not a goddamn human?!” He forced her closer, making her tears fall as he barked in her face.
His words hung heavy in the air, echoing through the spacious room.
“Bucky, please,” she tried again, not wanting to fight anymore.
Bucky finally listened, suddenly shocked at his actions as he let her arm go.
It’s been so long since he had made her cry and he just ruined everything good he had worked on building with her.
She just stood there, whimpering in pain as she held her arm to her chest.
Bucky watched her roll the sleeve of her winter dress up to look at her arm and there they were: thick fingerprints on her flesh.
“I— I’m sorry,” he whispered, trying to get closer to look at her arm, swallowing hard.
To his surprise, she let him.
“I’m sorry, little human.” Bucky wiped a few tears away, regret evident in his voice.
“I wasn’t running,” she repeated, pushing her hands in the pockets of her dress, “I was collecting berries to decorate the cake I made earlier.” She pulled handfuls of now ruined wild strawberries, raspberries and blackberries out of her pockets and dropped them on the wooden table for him to see.
She left alone Bucky to stare at the berries and went to the kitchen.
And boy did he stare.
He felt so stupid and ashamed at the way he had reacted. He just hurt her and she wasn’t even trying to leave. He wouldn’t let her explain either and had unjustly judged her.
She got out a cold water bottle from the fridge, pushing it to her bruised arm.
Bucky walked into the kitchen, shame branded on his face.
“Are you okay?” He asked, not knowing what to do to correct his mistake.
“What do you think?!” She irritably snapped at him, waving her bruised arm in the air.
“I just wanted to help!” Bucky barked back.
“Well, I don’t want your help!” She shouted.
“Fine! Don’t want it!” Bucky walked out, his feet stomping on the wooden floors.
He stormed out of the cottage, violently slamming the door behind him.
Bucky then realized what he has just done and how he had made the situation even worse. He kicked a rock so hard he was sure it flew to the other side of the forest as he saw birds flying disruptively.
“Damn it!” He yelled out loud, slamming his fist to the door, making her flinch inside the cottage.
The fight between the orc’s rough exterior and his rather tender feelings for her was torturing Bucky. What he meant to show was that he cared about her and was worried for her, but instead he’d done what he’d done.
She, on the other side of the wall, irately got out of the kitchen with the trash bin and swept the berries from the table, throwing them in the garbage.
When Bucky got inside again, she was cleaning the stain of the berries from the table, her features still twisted in a frown.
He opened his mouth, trying to think of anything he could say to fix this, but nothing came out. With a sigh, he left the cottage once more, leaving her all alone.
She sat down with a huff, throwing the cloth in her hand across the room.
She let her tears run in frustration.
It was supposed to be a peaceful night where they enjoyed a delightful desert that she has worked hard on making and was going to work hard on decorating.
She was trying to start a life with him. Why did he have to ruin it like that? She wasn’t running. How could she make him believe her?
She desperately wanted, needed Bucky to trust her.
She cried harder, feeling helpless in the face of her orc’s rage as her heart clenched at the thought of a happiness gone so soon.

Cracked Clay Cup Chapter 9
@greatbigolhampuckjustforme
“Okay, for the next one,” said Danny, doodling on a piece of paper, “I think I’m going to pick from the older end again.  Like, I’ve done number one, number five, and number seven, so that leaves two, three, four and six.  Could just do the middle one, four.  That’s the biggest group.  Or I could do one of the single people.”
“You could pick any of them,” said Clockwork.  He placed another piece into the puzzle he was working on at the dining room table.
“I know,” said Danny.  “I’m just thinking out loud.”  He’d been leaving Clockwork’s after breakfast, but he’d broken that habit this time around.  It was almost noon.  He just couldn’t make up his mind.
Part of him wondered if he should have stayed with Vlad a bit longer.  Maybe he could have pushed him to tell the truth.  But… he didn’t know how Vlad would have reacted to that.  What if it had been bad?
On the other hand, it might have been good to know if his reaction to being pushed had been bad.  If it had been, Danny would have known not to pick him.  Maybe… maybe deciding to leave was a little… cowardly.
“Hey, Clockwork?”
“Yes?”  He looked up from the puzzle, but kept inserting pieces.
“Am I different than I was with my memory?  Like, am I acting different than I would have, if I still remembered?”
“Of course.  You would have knowledge that you currently do not, if you remembered.”
“Okay,” said Danny.  “Sure, I get that.  But what about… I’m… Am I acting like, not as… brave?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, Vlad said I was sort of a, I don’t know, a superhero, kind of.”
“I see.”
“But I kind of feel like if I had been, then I’d be more…  I would have acted differently, with Vlad.”
“Hm,” said Clockwork.  “I think I understand what you mean.”
“And?” prompted Danny.
“And, I have often found that it is easier to be brave if you have something to be brave for.  When it is not a choice so much as it is a necessity.  You do not need to be brave, here.  This isn’t one of those situations.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“I am,” said Clockwork.  “You aren’t unmonitored, when you are visiting the candidates.  Part of my role is to enforce the rules.”
“I don’t really see how that means I don’t need to be brave in this situation.  I kind of feel like there’s a lot I need to be brave about, here.  I could be hiding out in my room instead of out here.”
“You could be.”
“But I’m not.  I’d say that was… brave…  Wait, that’s not the position I was arguing before.”
“It is not,” said Clockwork.
Danny scowled at him, then slouched down in his chair.  “You know what else is brave?  Your new decorative choices.”
The walls of the kitchen - not to mention the rest of the house - were now covered in clocks of various sizes and shapes.
“Mhm.  Well, in your absence, I must occupy myself.”
Danny looked around the room again, eyes lingering on the clocks.  “I don’t know that I’m that… occupying.  Like, I’ve not been here for more than a day at a time, and usually less than that.”  He hesitated.  “And we don’t… do that much together, do we?”
“We’re doing things together now.”
“I’m mostly just complaining at you about my choices, but okay.”
“Even so.”
“What if I just… take another day?  To decide who to go to next, I mean.”
“Take as long as you want.  In the meantime, you could help me with this puzzle.”
“Or,” proposed Danny, “we could play some video games together.  A lot of the ones I like are multiplayer.”
Clockwork put the remaining puzzle pieces back in the box.  “We can certainly try that.  I’ve never played before.”
Danny grinned.  “I think you’ll like it.”
.
“Are you sure you’ve never played before?” asked Danny.
“Quite.”
“You’re good.”
“I have always prided myself on my timing.”
Danny groaned as he died again.
.
“Okay, I’ve made my decision,” said Danny, a few days later.  Breakfast that day consisted of french toast.
“Really?”
“You don’t have to sound so skeptical.”
“This is my normal voice.”
“Is it?”
“It is.  What is your choice?” asked Clockwork.
“Eager to get rid of me?”
“I am merely curious.”
“Sure,” said Danny.  “Sure you are.”
“Daniel,” said Clockwork, with a faint air of exasperation.
“I want to visit the third person,” said Danny.  “I figure I might as well be symmetrical.”
“It’s as good a system as any.  Do you want to leave now, or later?”
“Now,” said Danny.  He did not say, ‘before I change my mind again.’
“Very well.”
Clockwork raised his staff, a spark of blue swirling off the tip.  The portal would form in just a split second.
“I’ll miss you,” blurted Danny, impulsively.
Clockwork’s eyes widened slightly, but he did not respond before the portal swept Danny away.
The first thing Danny noticed about the new place was how cold it was.  He wrapped his arms around himself, and cursed himself for not realizing that someone named Frostbite of the Far Frozen would live somewhere cold.
“Oh, dear,” said a deep voice.  “Great one, my apologies.  I did not realize your core would be inactivated.”
Danny was bundled into a pair of furry arms and swept away to a much warmer area.  That wasn’t to say it was warm.  Just.  Warmer.
“Oh, wow, that was cold,” said Danny.  He rubbed his arms and wrapped his tail around his knees.
“Yes,” said Frostbite.  “Usually that’s not an issue for you.”
“I can’t imagine why not.”  Danny shot a look at his latest temporary guardian.
Frostbite was a huge, tall, white-furred ghost.  He had a long muzzle and horns, along with ears that had more than a passing resemblance to Danny’s.  Danny ran a hand over his own ears, wondering.  Were they related somehow?
“Generally,” said Frostbite, “in the normal course of things, that is, you are quite cold-resistant.  You have a cold core, like myself, although that aspect of your core seems to have been rendered dormant.”
“Vlad mentioned cores,” said Danny.
Frostbite's furry eyebrows went up.  “You have already met Plasmius?”
“Um, yeah.  Just before you, actually.”
“What?!”  Frostbite patted Danny over with his large, paw-like hands.  “Did he harm you?  Are you injured?  Did he do anything to you?”
“Um,” said Danny, stepping back.  “No.  He was pretty chill actually.”
“Chill.”
“I mean, like.  He didn’t do anything bad to me.  He was pretty nice, even though he didn’t tell me we’d been enemies.  The Dairy King did.”
Frostbite got a sort of pinched look on his face.  “The Dairy King was assisting him?  How unusual.”
“I don’t know about assisting,” said Danny.  “He did tell me about how Vlad and I used to fight and all.”
“Even so,” said Frostbite.  His eyes were still roving over Danny, apparently worried.  “I would like to give you a full medical checkup.  I was unable to do so… before.”
“Before the trial?” asked Danny, tilting his head to one side.  He felt one of his ears flick.
“Yes,” said Frostbite, heavily.
He seemed to be struggling with whether or not to say anything else, so Danny took the opportunity to look around.
The room he was in was… strange.  There was really no other way to put it.  It was small.  Only about the size of Danny’s bedroom at home with Clockwork.  The walls, where they were visible, looked like ice-covered stone, but they mostly weren’t visible.  They were covered with layers of fur and strange tapestries.  Some of the tapestries looked more or less like Danny imagined tapestries to look: lengths of tightly-woven and embroidered fabric.  Others looked more like carpets.  Still others were embroidered furs.  The floors, too, were covered in layered furs and carpets.  Illumination was provided by globs of floating blue fire.
Other than that, the room was empty.
“I was your doctor before, Great One.”
They looked at each other for a long moment.  Danny imagined that Frostbite was facing the same dilemma he was.  He couldn’t decide what to ask next.  He couldn’t decide what was safe to ask.
“So, you’re a doctor?”  That seemed like a safe question.
“I am,” said Frostbite.  “Medicine for cold core ghosts is one of the specialties of my tribe.  When you have been ill or injured in the past, we have taken care of you.”
Danny hadn’t really thought all that much about the social structures of ghosts.  He remembered the Observants, and he had a vague recollection of kingdoms and tribes being a thing, but he was far more familiar with the workings of a republic, his human life taking precedence in this case.  He made a mental note to ask Frostbite more about how tribes worked later.
“And I have a cold core like you?  That’s why you’re my doctor?”
“Yes,” said Frostbite.
“Are we related?” asked Danny.  Frostbite’s tail - what Danny could see of it, anyway - wasn’t quite like Danny’s, but he did have white fur and pointed ears, so…
This question surprised a laugh out of Frostbite.  “It would be my honor, but, no, Great One.  Although we share some similarities, that is not one of them.”
“And you’re calling me Great One because…?”
“Because you saved my people, and, indeed, all the Infinite Realms, from a terrible fate when Plasmius released Pariah Dark, the old king of ghosts, from his prison.”
“The superhero thing?” asked Danny.
Frostbite chuckled.  “I believe you referred to your tendencies as that a few times in my hearing.  You, and your friends.  But, truly, it would give me a great deal of peace if you let me make sure that you are, indeed, healthy, and that whatever technique they used to remove your memory has not damaged you unduly.”
“You could tell if it did?” asked Danny, suddenly a lot less reluctant.
Frostbite nodded, gravely.
“Okay,” said Danny.  “But I’m not sure if I can really handle it if the way there is as cold as the way here.”
“I will carry you,” said Frostbite.  “The medical bay itself is heated, to accommodate your human half, as are many of the rooms.”
Danny sighed in relief.  This would have been a very short visit if they hadn’t been.  This room was fine, but he didn’t like the idea of being confined to such a small space indefinitely.
“And perhaps we could take one of these,” said Frostbite, pulling a thick, fluffy-looking fur from one of the walls.  “Just to add another layer between you and the cold.”
“Right,” said Danny, feeling nervous again as he contemplated being bundled up like that.  It was fine.  Clockwork was watching.  Monitoring.  Whatever.  He had the pocketwatch.
It took a bit of maneuvering for Danny to get into a comfortable position, but once he did, Frostbite wasted no time pushing aside the thick, curtain-like door of the room and walking back out into the cold.  Danny drew in on himself, shivering, despite their precautions.
(In a slightly less frigid environment, being held in Frostbite’s arms would have been downright cozy.  He made a note to experiment later.  If Frostbite was trustworthy enough for cuddles.)
“S-so,” said Danny, trying to take his mind off the cold.  “Wh-what did I do with Pariah D-Dark?”  Vlad had told him a version of the story, but he doubted it was complete, especially given that he’d failed to mention anything about who released Pariah Dark in the first place.
“You rallied the ghosts of the Wastes,” said Frostbite.  “a veritable and largely lawless rabble.  You convinced them to fight, even convincing Walker and Dorathea of Mattingly to lend their power.  You led them against Pariah Dark’s thrall armies, and stormed his keep using a suit of armor that sapped your life even as it increased your power.  You fought the mad king one-on-one, and forced him back into the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, whereupon Plasmius was able to lock him in again.  You very nearly died, you very nearly ended, and were willing to do so, in order to stop Pariah Dark.”
“H-huh,” said Danny.  He couldn’t really imagine doing something like that.  But it did more or less line up with what Vlad said… except that in Vlad’s story, Danny’s role had been less… prominent.
They reached the medical bay, a large cave full of mysterious machinery, shortly after that, and Danny was again happy to find himself in relative warmth.  Frostbite started explaining the medical exams he wanted to carry out, and Danny listened half-heartedly.
“Hey,” he said, during a lull between explanations.  “Do you think you could fix my amnesia?”
“It is not impossible,” said Frostbite, slowly, turning away from the thing he’d been fiddling with .  “But it would depend heavily on what method they used to give you that amnesia in the first place.  For example, Lethean waters are very effective and entirely irreversible.  On the other hand, they could have removed and stored your memories via a memory jar, in which case you would need to have that jar to recover your memories.  Alternatively, there are several ways by which your memories could be bound in place, or obscured.  However… attempting to restore your memories would be a blatant violation of the rules of this trial.”
“But would you try?”
“If you asked me to, Great One.”
Danny frowned and looked away.  “Why are you doing this?”
“Giving you a medical checkup?” asked Frostbite.  “Because I am concerned for your health.”
Danny waved that answer away, and forced himself to look back at Frostbite.  “No, I mean, why are you participating in this trial?  Why do you want custody of me?  I mean, if you’re just my doctor, that’s a bit weird, isn’t it?”
Frostbite huffed.  “I do like to think of myself as more than ‘just’ your doctor.  I mentored you extensively after your ice powers developed.  I daresay you are one of my more successful students, at that, even if your, ah… first attempts at control were rough.”
“You know what I mean.  You call me ‘Great One,’ and that’s flattering and all, but it isn’t really a parental kind of thing, is it?”
“I suppose not,” said Frostbite.  “It would bring me nothing but joy if you did choose me, Great One, and I would do my utmost to live up to the task and dedicate myself to parenting you, but I do have something of an ulterior motive in joining this trial.”
“What is it?” asked Danny.
“I came to warn you.”  Frostbite squared his shoulders.  “I never met your birth parents, only your sisters, but from your words and theirs…  I believe they harmed you, Great One.  Intentionally and repeatedly.  And I believe that it is their actions that necessitated this custody trial.”
“Wait, wait, wait,” said Danny.  “Why?  Why do you think that?”
“First,” said Frostbite, “you mentioned to me on several occasions that your parents were ghost hunters.”
“Oh.  Ow,” said Danny.
“Secondly, a few times - only a few, but they stand out sharply in my memory -  you visited me for help after being affected by one of your parents’ weapons.  I have the records of those visits here.  You brushed aside my concerns regarding your parents then, saying that they did not know you would be harmed, or that the incidents were mere accidents.”
That… certainly sounded bad.
“Thirdly, and finally, the existence of this custody trial in and of itself.  These are beyond uncommon, even considering the Observants’ interest in you.”  Frostbite’s snout wrinkled.  Speaking of which, you should be wary of them as well.”
“Already ahead of you on that one,” said Danny, thoughts racing.  “But I thought the reason for the custody hearing was that they were dead.”
Frostbite’s eyes widened slightly.  “Who told you that?  I know that at least one of them is participating.”
“What?” said Danny.  “Are you sure?”
“Yes.  My spy wasn’t able to be more specific than that, curse the Observants, but I have full confidence in them as a member of my tribe.”
“Do you know their names?  What they’re called, what they look like?” asked Danny.
Frostbite shook his head.  “As I said, I never met them.”
“Maybe we can work it out by elimination, though,” said Danny.  “I could tell you the names of the other people on my list of candidates–”
Frostbite’s head-shaking became more frantic.  “Goodness, no.  I’m limited in how specific I can be about the…”  He sighed.  “Competition.”
“Right,” said Danny.  “But you just came to warn me?  That’s all?”
“And to give you some measure of safety.  I knew your parents were participating, I knew Plasmius would not miss the chance, and I haven’t a clue about who else might be involved.  I wanted you to have at least one safe option.”
That was nice and all, but Danny couldn’t help but feel a little put out.  He didn’t want to be an obligation that someone was picking up because they felt like they had to.
He was probably just being ungrateful, though.
“Great One?” asked Frostbite.
“Hm?”
“I asked if you would like me to try to get your memories back.”
“Oh,” said Danny.  He thought about it for a while.  “No.  I don’t want you to get in trouble.  But maybe… could you find out what’s going on with my core?  And help me remember how to use those ice powers you mentioned?”
“Of course, Great One!  It would be my pleasure.”

Okay here's a companion piece to my "Jeremy Knox What The Hell Is Up With Your Family Evidence". I wanted to have a bullet point list so it was easier to keep track of everything. I am aware that this is probably excessive lol again if I missed anything feel free to let me know! I tried to keep all of my personal theories out of it and just present the facts but I included a couple explanations
Jeremy Knox What The Hell Is Up With Your Family The Bullet Point List Edition
Home
- "The trick to starting Saturdays off in the right foot was to get out of the house as early as possible. He'd realize years ago that he'd never be the first one awake"
- is on very good terms with the butler, William Hunter. William has coffee ready for him when he leaves in the morning, and texts him that his older brother and stepfather are in the sitting room when Jeremy gets home so he can avoid them and opens the front door for him
- is required to stay at the house during the weekday while school is in session. He is allowed to go to Cat and Laila's house on the weekends and over summer break. "Jean didn't miss away Jeremy's gaze slid past him to peer into the distance, or the tight tug at the corner of Cat's mouth. Jeremy was still smiling but the light had gone out in it" when talking about his living situation
Step Family / Mother
- step grandfather is a congressman
- "he'd wasted years arguing against such events, as he had absolutely no relation to his stepsfather's father, but his mother refused to budge. If a Congress man needed a picture perfect family for photo ops, the Knox family was duty bound to dress up and smile bright for the exhausting number of cameras"
- His stepfather's last name is Wilshire
- is stated that he is permanently on his stepfather's bad side
- told Jean not to call him by his last name, Knox
- says that he will maybe do frosted tips next year after he's graduated and doesn't have to deal with the fallout and was kicked out of family dinner because of his bleached hair
- Jeremy says " 'I've never been to Europe. Dad's been stationed there a couple times, but....' " The wording makes me feel like his biological father is still alive but they aren't in touch
- Jeremy's mother picked his therapist
Siblings
- does not get along with his older brother, Bryson
- Jeremy left the house without his keys in order to avoid a confrontation with Bryson.
Later on he states that he "idly wished he'd been brave enough to get his keys"
- Bryson lives at home during the summer and goes to college on the East Coast
- does not get along with his sister, Annalise
- Annalise "insisted on keeping her own place on the other side of the city year round"
- in the one scene with Annalise she is very hostile to Jeremy:
•"more drama...".   •"Overdue for a new scandal, hm?' she asked. 'End the way you started.' He didn't flinch but it was a near thing. Once upon a time she had gone to all of his high school games, but once upon a time was before the fall banquet that broke their family in half she's gone out of her way to forget everything she knew about Exy since then, and she'd never forgiven him for sticking with it. He'd walk through a hundred hypothetical arguments with his therapist in preparation for the day he finally fought back, but every time the chance came, he watched it slip past and miserable silence." • " sent him an arch look. 'What’s Grandpa think of this investment of yours?' It was obvious bait, but that couldn’t keep the edge out of Jeremy’s fierce, 'He is not our grandfather.' 'Careful,' Annalise warned him as she rummaged for her keys. 'You already destroyed the family. Don’t destroy my future, too. Door.' "
- asks Lucas if he feels safe with his brother and when Lucas says he's my brother Jeremy says that's not what I asked
- Cat hesitates when telling Jean how many siblings Jeremy has. She says there are three, one sister and two brothers. The older brother is an absolute tool and she nervously pushes her fries around her plate after speaking
- The second brother is never mentioned and seems to have a big part in The Incident. Potentially also played Exy. Is unknown if he is fully related, half sibling, or step sibling. Most likely younger than Jeremy
Money
- Jeremy keeps meticulous track of his receipts and how he spends his money. There are three different times it is pointed out that he keeps the receipt and puts it in his wallet
- "It was always best to have a paper trail when dealing with his mother's bookkeeper"
- gives Cat the remaining money in his wallet to help with groceries and rent even though "Cat was more concerned with how many hoops it took him to pull it together when he was permanently on his stepfather's bad side"
Miscellaneous
- Jeremy avoids the cops sitting at the park. Says there was little to no chance he'd know them, and no reason they'd recognize him, but Jeremy kept his gaze forward and his mouth shut until they were passed
- Rhemann says he will call the cops on Grayson if Jean wants him to and that he will "send Jeremy away first". Could be because Jean said that he did not want Jeremy in the room while Rhemann was cleaning his injuries and he figured Jean wouldn't want Jeremy there when he was talking to the police or it could have to do with Jeremy hiding his face from the cops at the park
- has specific fun ringtones for everybody except his family. Becomes very tense whenever they contact him
- automatically calls Wayne's suicide an accident and then "grimaced like it wasn't at all the word he wanted to use" perhaps whatever happened, his family calls The Incident an accident instead of what actually happened
- responds with " 'that isn't a joke,' Jeremy said, with an unexpected ferocity' " when Jean jokes about suicide
- Cat says no judgment when it comes to therapy and the right therapist can be life-changing and to look at Jeremy for proof. Insinuating that The Incident was fairly traumatic

Chapter 16
Tumblr media
Multiple police cars were in front of your house and you were sitting on the grass. Kunikuzushi was by your side pulling you close to him as you looked like you could throw up any moment.
He didn't know what was on the letter because his first instinct was to grab you and comfort you as you sobbed in his arms.
You were not allowed inside so he put his jacket around your shoulders to keep you arm and made sure it was comfortable for you to lean on him.
An elderly police officer walks towards you, hesitantly approaching you at this moment, knowing it was a bad timing but also knowing he had to question you.
"Miss, sorry to interrupt you but could I ask you a couple of questions?" He said professionally, yet uncomfortably looked away. Fumbling with his hands which didn't go unnoticed by Kunikuzushi.
Kunikuzushi was immediately glaring at the guy but you stared at the older man in front of you and nodded.
You moved your head from Kunikuzushi's shoulder to make proper eye contact with the man even though all you wanted to do is wake up from this terrible nightmare.
"Please state your name and address first."
You answered with a hoarse voice and he continued.
"Could you tell us what happened before you found the letter at your door?"
"I was.. Walking.. Towards my house and.." You struggled to continue. Not because you didn't remember, but because you didn't want to relive the moment inside your head again..
"She found the envelope on her doormat. She picked it up and opened it." Kunikuzushi, who had gotten irritated, answered as he held your hand.
"Sorry but are you Miss L/n, I don't think so?" The police officer looked a bit irritated as his interview was interrupted.
"Does it really matter now? Can't you see how traumatized she is? Are you blind or really this stupid?" Kunikuzushi yelled, now standing on both feet as well, attracting other officers to also listen in to the conversation.
"Maybe if you would just stay out of it, this would be much easier. I'm the supervisor here and you are nothing, a nobody."
"Oh you think you are better than me, right? You worthless shit. Have you really gone braindead to not have a single ounce of care to realize in what mental state she now is?" Kunikuzushi looked the police officer dead in the eye as he walked closer while the police officer tried to keep his distance. You tried to get up on your feet, not wanting him to escalate the situation even further.
"Oh so now you're calling me heartless? You disrespectful piece of shit. You young people are so rude and you know I can get you arrested." He threatened back but Kunikuzushi didn't blink once. He, on the contrary, smirked and stepped forward.
"Try me." The simple words that set off the police officer as imaginable steam came out of his ears. Other officers quickly went over to grab him in an attempt to stop him, but it didn't work.
You too, quickly run up, ready to defend Kunikuzushi from the unbelievably corrupt police officer. Using his title and authority to try and arrest Kunikuzushi for no crime or unlawful activity was definitely a crime.
You stumbled in front of Kunikuzushi as the police officer was about to land a hit, instead of hitting Kunikuzushi like he was aiming at, he hit you right in the head and you fell back into Kunikuzushi's arms.
It was like a dramatic scene as you felt blood dripping your forehead to panicked people running around.
However Kunikuzushi was shockingly also part of the  panicked people and quickly yelled at the other officers to call for an ambulance. He looked furious. A death glare was permanently on his face each time he looked at the scared police officer.
He held you tightly in his arms and tried to stop the bleeding with his hands, even ripping off a part of his clothing to try to pressure the point of where the blood was coming out. It didn't help much and the blood was dripping down your kimono, staining the beautiful silk that was definitely worth thousands.
You tried to keep your eyes open but struggled as the noise mixed with your pain confused and hurt your head.
You felt your vision fading away as you saw the lights of an ambulance in the distance.
Tumblr media
Couple of weeks earlier...
"What do you mean the bomb has been disabled??" La Signora yelled to one of her subordinates.
"U-uhm well we just found out this morning.."
"Be more specific."
"Well u-uh it's last known location was thousands of kilometers from the target's home address.. And then the mark on the map just disappeared!"
Signora sighed, trying to compose herself.
"And why didn't you activate the bomb as soon as you picked up any movement away from her home?"
"Nobody was watching the bomb's location at the time.."
"WHERE WAS EVERYONE THEN?"
"We were watching her and.."
Signora turned around, walking towards her desk and placed both hands on there. Her subordinates looked at each other with a knowing look at what was going to happen.
They quickly shut the door as Signora screamed. They could feel the feeling of vases being thrown at them even if they weren't inside. It was not the first time this happened.
To shake off the uncomfortable feeling they quickly left and went somewhere else to hide and hope Signora would forget about the incident.
"Those stupid fuckers always fuck up somehow.. It was such a simple task too.."
Suddenly a knock on Signora's door interrupted her anger.
"It's me~ Can I come inside?" An all too familiar voice said and Signora didn't respond.
The door opened anyway, moving the broken pieces of a vase as well as letting the person who knocked in.
"What do you want, Dottore."
"Heard you from someone you want to take revenge on our dear Balladeer~"
"Just shut the fuck up and leave-"
"How about I help you with torturing him?"
Signora raised her eyebrow in interest. She turned around facing the Doctor and crossed her arms as she looked for any sign of foolery but didn't find any.
"I'm listening."
The Doctor grinned as he already had a plan in mind. He too wanted to take revenge on Scaramouche and make him suffer, however if he wanted to do that, he had to use you, Scaramouche’s dear lover.

A cautionary tale observed from the outside;
There is a youtuber I used to watch. They mostly did reviews on fictional media which I will not specify. Now and again they would mention a difficult childhood in a passing sentence while reviewing things.
At some point, their reviews on completely fictional stories started getting laced with bitter resentment and cynical comments about US politics, global warming, homophobia, sexism, literally a bingo card of topical issues. It made their content rather unpleasant to listen to. Because you would click on to hear their thoughts about characters and story only to be smacked with a lot of 'well we're all doomed because the planet is fucked and everybody hates us' nihilism.
Then they did some self reflection, and they came to the realisation that they were queer. And the difficult childhood came into better focus for them as did the large amount of self loathing. But then something happened.
That self loathing turned to anger. But not in a constructive way. and instead of coming to terms with who they were, they instead merely turned this childhood desperation for love into purposeful instigation of the audience.
"If the world will not love me then I will have its hate" this person seemed to say.
And they reviews became.... incredibly toxic. Anger, resentment, open hostility to the audience, purposefully instigating and daring their audience to hate them and get angry at them. Constantly picking fights. Constantly "Come at me! I dare you to start something with me in the comments! If you are x y and z then I hope you die in a fire!"
And so, people unsubbed. Because why wouldn't you? Who wants to watch someone who is constantly insulting you and daring you to fight with them all the while reminding you "the earth is fucked" and "humantiy is awful" when all you wanted to know is what their opinion was on x piece of media. I wasn't one of the early unsubbers however. It takes a lot for me to unsub from someone mostly because I am lazy.
And then this youtuber started a new road of "haha look how much your hatred fuels me!" Because suddenly their videos became;
"Ever since I came out as queer my sub count has been dropping rapidly. This is to be expected because the world is full of BIGOTS and the ALT RIGHT. So of course me coming out as queer is why my subs dropped! It just proves how RIGHT I am in saying people suck and the world is an awful place!"
.....that's when I unsubbed from them.
I don't know what the lesson is here. Other than I tend to be cautious when I recognise this kind of "I'm such a victim despite doing NOTHING wrong!" behaviour from others.
And it finally taught me to recognise that looking for hate because you realised you cannot get love is a lateral move in recovery, not progress. And it is not self worth in any way because you are still relying on outside opinion to make yourself feel like you have worth. You've just switched where you're getting validation from for an easier source with a better guarantee.

Hi there ,I really like your writing! So I wanted to ask you how the demon brothers would react to a MC turning into a little toddler ? (Because of some spell/forbidden book curse etc,you choose) MC being super adorable and sweet like the "perfect" toddler somewhat? Being a little funny too and giggling/smiling a lot ,also loving the brothers and being very comforting with them!
ahhh i wish my own toddler was so nice and sweet lmao
he is though but only if i let him get what he wanted
Toddler MC
Lucifer:
• Sigh
• The only other person not out of their mind in this house turned into a toddler somehow
• Pretty sure it was a curse against him
• Listen dear I doubt he gets along with a toddler for an entire day
• Though you being nice to him, showing him daffodils, rocks with your sticky little hands, hugging his leg until he picks you up helps a lot.
• He is in his prime during bedtime; reading you stories is his favourite part of the day. You are a good, curious kid & never throw a tantrum when he is with you. It is so peaceful he doesn’t actually want it to end. He tells you another story even if he has already told you 4.
Mammon:
• Oh jesus thank God you were turned into a toddler and not him!
• At first he isn’t too sure about what to do with you but quickly gets the hang of playing a bit roughly
• You know the kind of playtime moms don’t wanna see
• He spins you around, hangs you upside down, throws you into a pile of pillows, lets you sit on his neck, throws you in the air, stuff like this.
• It does good for your confidence levels regarding child development plus! you get tired super fast after spending time with him.
• You, him and Levi have a freeze dance competition every afternoon! Sometimes they won’t let you win though.
Leviathan:
• Doesn’t really know what to do with you either. In fact he is scared of you a little.
• You clinging to him, throwing kisses etc. melts him eventually, you are just so adorable he was an idiot to be scared of you.
• Definitely loves to roleplay with you. Comes up with the cutest storylines, though sometimes it gets so complicated you miss it here and there.
• He can easily keep you busy for 3 hours a day and never ever complains
Satan:
• Highkey concerned about the situation
• Never ever seen a toddler before
• His concerns leave him once he sees that you are actually a good little one.
• So now it is his duty to teach you mischief!
• He spends lots of time teaching you to speak as you haven’t said a comprehensible word yet.
• His strategy is referring to himself as „Tantan” but he calls everybody else „The Avatar of” or „The sixth born”, you know, so there is absolutely 0% chance your first word isn’t Tantan. Or maybe kitty/cat, that’s also a phrase you hear quite frequently.
Asmodeus:
• I think he is the only one who gushes over you right away.
• Doesn’t want you to turn back, look at how adorable your cheeks are!!!
• Spends most of his money on new clothes for you, you have to be the all time most fashionable toddler in the city.
• Loves to have tea parties but tbh that’s pretty much it, not sure what/how else to play but he does everything else!! Very enthusiastic and overprotective!!
• He also gets you this helmet so everytime you might fall you’re not going to hit your head. You are so spoiled my dear
Beelzebub:
• Also thinks you are super adorable. Might eat you if you are with him too much.
• Takes you out to the city with him, you must learn how to get food!
• Introduces you to ketchup
• He takes you to the playground the most.
• He is def not the most violent of the guys but trust me you are very well protected and safe!
Belphegor:
• Doesn’t really like what’s going on right now to be fair
• But at least you are nice so that makes it easier
• His preference is cuddling and having a snack with you as you watch TV
• One time he got you chicken to eat.
-Mr.Belphie I don’t like chicken...
-Ah. But it’s not chicken, actually it’s dolphin!
-Oh! Y/N loves dolphin!

CYOA Whump Part 17

You chose: Nothing. I'll try to form a stronger bond with him before I ask for help.
⋆༺𓆩☠︎︎𓆪༻⋆
You and Onthyes sit together below deck as the sounds of fighting dwindle down. You're dizzy and cold from blood loss, but he seems confident that you're going to survive.
Sunlight blinds you as the door opens and John beckons the two of you outside. His nose is bleeding, but he looks fine otherwise.
"Hildris?" Onthyes asks as he helps you to your feet.
"She's a tough one, laddie," John says, giving him a firm pat on the shoulder. "A wee stab wound is nothin she can't handle."
"Thank the gods. I wanted to help but..."
"Your charge here is more important, accordin to the captain. Shame that Rye's gonna beat your kill record now. It'll go right to the bastard's head."
Onthyes winces. "I don't mind. It suits him better than me."
Nearby, Hildris is sitting atop a crate while a young elven woman presses her hands to the wound in her side, chanting a soft melody. Her hands glow gold, and Hildres lets out a contented sigh.
"Who is that?" you whisper.
"Tiria," Onthyes replies, leading you over to her. "She's a healer. We picked her up a few months ago. Found her stranded on an island."
You stop short, glaring at him as you pull on the chain, forcing him to stop and look at you.
"What?"
"There has been a healer on board this whole time and I have never met her? What about when I got the shit beat out of me? My ribs have been killing me and they could have just been magically healed?"
A breeze swirls around you, making Onthyes's clothes flap around where he'd torn them to make a bandage for your arm.
"She doesn't want us asking her for healing unless it's an emergency. She doesn't like to tire herself on scrapes and bruises when someone could break a bone or be impaled any second."
"Are my broken ribs not an emergency?"
Onthyes sighs. "They're probably only bruised, Ventis. Rye wasn't even wearing his kicking boots."
You glance over at where Rye is showing off his newest trophy - a severed finger. On his feet, his blood-soaked boots are capped with thick metal spikes.
"I see."
You allow Onthyes to lead you to Tiria. She eyes you with a bored expression as she cleans blood off her hands. "Let's see it."
Onthyes unwraps the makeshift bandages from your upper arm. "He got hit with an arrow," he explains. "Barbed head. I cut it out as soon as we were safe."
You do your best to sit still as Tiria examines the wound. She pokes it with her long fingers and it takes all of your self control to not flinch away from the pain.
"Not bad, Onthyes," she remarks. "Clean cuts. You'd make a good surgeon."
"Um... thanks."
Her fingers dig a little deeper into the wound and you see a look of morbid fascination cross her face. "Your blood is... bubbly," she murmurs. "Interesting."
"Air genasi thing. Can you just heal me?" you grind out through your teeth.
"Hmph. Alright."
She starts singing and the pain fades away, replaced with a tingling warmth that spreads through your whole body. You sigh, your muscles relaxing for the first time in forever.
As she works, you watch the rest of the crew bring in the spoils. Crates and crates of supplies and merchandise. The civilians and remaining guards that weren't killed in the fight are left tied up on their own ship. You can feel the excitement of the pirates around you; can hear the whispers about how this is by far the best haul they've ever had.
And it's all thanks to you.
They're never letting you go now.
The next few weeks go similarly. A few days of downtime followed by Erxik calling you in for a task that requires you to use your magic. The crew of the Fortune enjoy a new era of wealth and power thanks to their use of your abilities.
You stay chained to Onthyes, but it gets easier to manage and it turns out that the two of you coexist pretty well considering how different you are. It helps that he's extremely comfortable to sleep next to. You warm up to his friends as well, and the next time Rye tries to fuck with you he only gets a few punches in before Golkulildyth the Mighty glares at him as she stands to her full eight feet of height and he backs down.
So things are going well, all things considered.
One night, you and Onthyes are preparing to go down for bed when you hear Rye's voice. His voice is low like he's trying to whisper, but the wind just so happens to carry it right to your ear.
You pause, pulling on the chain to halt Onthyes and signaling for him to be quiet.
"Captain's got all this wealth now thanks to the little freak," he says. "But the rest of us ain't seen none of it."
"I hear ya." This one's a woman's voice, deep and raspy. Tinny. "But ya can't go pressin him about it, alright? Captain ain't keen on sharin. You know that."
"Something's gonna change, Tin. If he don't start feeling generous soon we're gonna have to take matters into our own hands."
"Yer not talkin mutiny. I won't hear that."
"Ya didn't. I never said the word. I never said nothin."
You hear footsteps, and you and Onthyes hurry below deck.

The Beast In His Bones - Part II
Part I
For a moment Chilchuck was dumbfounded by the question. Last night had been incredible, Laios had spoiled him thoroughly for hours on end. He could not imagine where the tallman had gotten the idea there had been anything wrong about that ... until his waking mind remembered.
From one moment to the next the scent of cinnamon and vanilla left Chilchuck gagging.
"I didn't mean to and I'm sorry! I just ... I wanted to make you happy. But I didn't. Can you ... please explain what went wrong? So I can do better?"
Oh no. This was spiralling out of control. Chilchuck was the one who had lost his grip on his urges and ran his mouth without thinking but somehow Laios ended up blaming himself for it? And he was being so good about it, too. Getting him breakfast and apologizing and wanting to understand ... Chilchuck had to put a stop to this immediately.
"Hold on, hold on, no!", he blurted out and finally golden eyes snapped up to met his own. Alert and confused. "You have nothing to apologize for, alright? Everything's fine."
Blond eyebrows knitted together as Laios' tilted his head to the side. He was still sitting on his chair like a scolded schoolboy and the sight made Chilchuck want to scream.
"But ... the thing I asked about ... you didn't like it."
"That had nothing to do with you, I promise. You have done nothing wrong, Laios."
Laios' shoulders, so tight before, slumped at those words, tension bleeding out of his body and leaving him looking defeated.
"Then I don't get what's happening ... I was so sure you liked that thing when you said it. You got so tight, Chil." There was something soft to Laios' voice, something dreamy and longing, before it tipped back into lost confusion. "And so I thought that must be something you like, something I can give you. But when I asked about it I was so sure you got upset..."
Rumbling a noise of frustration Chilchuck dragged a hand down his face. Why, just why, could he not have kept his mouth shut and his depraved ideas to himself? As much as he had hoped to just brush this off and pretend it never happened ... that was not an option if it left Laios blaming himself for something he had not done.
"No, you're right. You're absolutely right. I did like it, when I said it ... and later I did get ... upset." The word did not sit right in his mouth but he might as well admit it if Laios had already picked up on it. "But that had nothing to do with you. I'll explain, alright? Just..."
He sighed again, wishing for a stiff drink despite the early hour. This conversation would be so much easier with alcohol. As it were he opted for the next best option.
"Just ... let me eat first? Oh, and uh ... thank you. For breakfast..."
Laios gave a wide eyed nod, then continued to sit there and watch as Chilchuck reached for the spoon and began eating. The porridge was fine, even though Chilchuck felt like something was missing. Maybe he had spent too much time in the dungeon around Senshi's cooking.
By the time he had stuffed a few spoonfuls into his mouth the nausea had ebbed away and Laios was still watching him. Waiting patiently for Chilchuck to explain. He looked much less tense and more curious now, eager to understand. Chilchuck sighed and waved at the idiot to join him.
"Come here already, I know you want to."
Before he had even finished the sentence Laios was halfway across the room and soon joined him on the bed, scooting close. It took some shifting but they found a comfortable position, Laios leaning back against the headboard with Chilchuck tucked against his side so he could continue eating.
"I really thought you were angry with me", Laios breathed, burying his face in Chilchuck's hair and pulling him close.
"I'm not. I was..." Chilchuck took a deep breath, letting the bowl sink into his lap. That was the thing about Laios. He needed honesty. Usually it was not this challenging to give it to him. "I was embarrassed. That's why I didn't want to talk about it."
"Oh ... why?"
Chilchuck had known this question would be coming. He stuffed another spoonful of porridge into his mouth so he did not have to answer right away. Of course Laios would be confused about this. He was obviously not in the habit of feeling ashamed about the things he enjoyed.
All the more reason to explain this as plainly as possible, even though it might not be pleasant.
"All my life I have been ... ignored, talked down to, exploited and abused. I have fought long and hard to not have that happen to me again. So I think I'm allowed to feel a bit conflicted about ... asking you to do the same thing to me in bed. Especially since I didn't mean to and it just ... slipped out."
Laios said nothing for a long moment and Chilchuck was quick to stuff his face again, tips of his ears burning. He had finished his bowl and placed it on the bedside table by the time Laios answered.
"Of course you're allowed. It wouldn't be, though. The same, I mean."
Turning back around Chilchuck frowned at Laios and a large hand found his to gently pull him closer again. He did not return to Laios' side, though. Instead those hands guided him to straddle Laios' thighs so they could look at each other. The position was intimate in a way that would have made Chilchuck's skin crawl just a few months ago. But he understood Laios wanted to see him for this, even if his face was flushed too dark a shade and he would much rather hide it.
"You don't actually want me to abuse you and do things you don't like, right?" Large hands settled on his hips, warm and grounding, a comforting weight. His face was relaxed, eyes awake as they watched Chilchuck settle into his lap.

mickey i need ur thoughts on jjk men (esp satoru) helping out and showing love for their partner with autism
like uuuuuuuu i was thinking abt toru keeping a pair of his sunglasses with him hust in case youre visually overwhelmed. ORRRR him teleporting you to a quieter space when he notices that theres too many complex sounds that are upsetting you.
ughhhhh like imagine one of them remembering that pressure is soothing for you and js puts their full body weight whenever you come back home from a bad day.
GUHHHH them keeping candles of your favorite scents and alwaya makes sure to keep your safe foods stocked up whenever you visit
OH NOW I'M REALLY KISSING YOU GRAY MY BELOVED!!! THIS IS SUCH A WONDERFUL LITTLE ASK WAHHH I GOT SO GIDDY
i agree with everything you said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i know that every single one of them would do anything and everything to help you out!! but i did pick some things out that really made me think of them!!! anyway hello my fellow autistic ppl this one is for you all i love you very very much<333
satoru 100% carries extra sunglasses with him and i think he'd actually carry his black blindfold aswell. obvs he's not gonna make you wear it as you're moving through public but he'd lead you to a quiet spot and then just let you have a moment. he's either sitting you down next to him or he's holding you against his chest, protecting you from every single ray of light that could possibly make it any worse for you. bc honestly... sunglasses are sometimes just not enough for me personally. i've had my fair share of times where i just have to cover my eyes with my hands bc it just hurts so much.
we all know that satoru is a big yapper but i know he needs his quiet time too. i think he would love to just Do Nothing with you in complete silence. maybe you're both just taking a nap together, maybe you're just laying in the sun out in the park. maybe you're resting your head on his lap, maybe he's resting his on yours. it's all just about gentle touches and looks.
he loves it when you ramble and he's literally your biggest hypeman!! he's ready to spend all of his fucking money on you and any fucking equipment you could ever need. you want a new game or a new console? they're both already waiting for you at home. you want to start drawing? he has already ordered a tablet for you to practise on. you want to get into photography? he's buying you a camera and three different lenses. he wants you to be happy and he wants you to be able to do everything you could ever possibly want. he's just the sweetest guy ever i am crying rn actually:((
he's the best little autism bf btw. bc he gets it. he understand. he knows. he knows all about the light sensitivity. he knows all about the difficulty of eating "normal" foods, always munching on candy and snacks bc that's just easier. he knows about the fidgeting, he knows about the innate need to have somebody lay on top of you. he knows about the rambling and the hyperfixations. he knows about the confusing social clues and the ridiculous differences of speaking tones. he knows about the eye-contact problems - whether you're someone, who struggles to keep it or you're someone, who can't tear your eyes from everybody else just like him - he understands! he knows about being straighforward and speaking exactly what's on your mind and then being scolded for it. he knows about Not Really Understanding personal space. he truly does understand and he's ready to do anything and everything to help you cope with Life.
toji is theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee best weighted blanket and i stand by that. he's so fucking huge and he's so fucking heavy - he's perfect. he's gonna tease you about it but just a little!! you tug him by his hand and he gladly takes his place on top of you bc let's be honest... he's gonna love it, too. he's protecting you! he's taking care of you in a way that doesn't need words! he's trying his best! and if this is what you need - he is going to do it!!!
also with the light and sound sensitivity - he'd gladly pull you into his chest and cover your eyes with his big ass palm. and it would feel soo comforting wtf. the weight of it and just the fact that it's him?? fuck, i know it'd be so good. or your ears. he's placing them on your ears, muffling the overwhelming sounds while cradling you and wahh:(( he'd make you feel so safe.
suguru and shoko and parallel play. it's amazing. they will read a book while you're gaming. or suguru's painting while you're reading. or shoko's having her morning smoke and coffee while you're doing your skincare (i'm sorry i just can't get out the beautiful picture of her sitting on the little windowsill of your bathroom, a cig inbetween her fingers and a cup of coffe in her hand. no words are being spoken - it's just the sound of the birds outside, the water running and her gulping down her little espresso. thank you for listening.)
or suguru's doing his little home workout routine as you're crocheting. or it's you and shoko just laying on your shared bed scrolling on your phones in silence. could literally be whatever. they're gonna glance at you every once in a while, they're gonna ask how you're doing, how you're feeling and then they're gonna give you a tender smile and a kiss on your cheek and continue on. i'm melting just thinking about it.
suguru is obviously also going to be there for you if you have sleeping problems. he understands them all too well and he's pulling out all the stops to help you fall asleep (and himself). he's gonna make the tea one night and you'll make it the next night. it's equal. maybe you're also going to take a lovely little bath together, you'll giggle exhaustedly as you both slur out very stupid jokes and after that you'll both climb under the covers and take turns in listening to each others heartbeats and (hopefully) fall asleep.
shoko and sarcasm. she definitely makes a lot of sarcastic jokes and comments and she'll be a bit confused at first when you just blurt out the good-old "i don't know whether you're joking or not". but i think she'd find it super cute. she'll still occasionally make the comments but she'll make sure to check in whether you got it or not. i think she would tease but she'd do it very lightly (she definitely cackles when satoru doesn't understand sarcasm though lmao but you're her baby and she doesn't want you to feel bad). and i think she would love if you made terrible sarcastic jokes. like she would laugh until there are tears prickling in her eyes and you'd still be like ????? i don't understand and then she'd laugh even more. she's so cute.
kento is always ready to cook for you. he understands how hard it can be, how overwhelming it can be. he doesn't mind it a bit. i truly think this would be good for the both of you! he loves to cook and it's such a relaxing thing for him, and it's even better now that he knows he can see you fill your cheeks with delight. he needs you to eat well and he will make sure you do!
i also think that he's so patient with you and he'd never ever make you feel like you have to speak with him. he buys little plushies that you can turn inside-out, a pink side and a blue side - indicating how you're doing on the Speaking department that day. and these tiny interactive pins and you can express whatever you're feeling without ever speaking a word. he never pressures you in any way, always just reward you with more reassurance and a kiss to your temple.
he's ALSO the best listener. like he never talks over you. never. not even on an accident???? it's a superpower i think. he let's you talk at your own pace and he just stares at you with very soft eyes:((
wait i also think that shoko, utahime and yuki would gladly speak for you. in a sense of if you have social anxiety or you stutter or anything like that, they'd easily take up the task of ordering for you! they literally have all of your orders remembered and everything.

Going insane just thinking about tlovm animating the scene of percy kissing vex right in the day before he pulls the whole "no more tricks" scene with raishan in whitestone. Just. Insane.
#kelly watches cr#im watching it rn and im gonna be honest this gotta be one of my favorite moments of the s1 so far#tal saying “dont stop a man who just kissed someone” or something like that is so funny#but between kiki's rage with raishan and the group being cautious around her percy going all out in a room with his sis + gilmore + allura#is just so big brain... they are going against thordak and putting hundreds and hundreds of ppl in the front lines for THEM#the smartest thing they can do is just lay it out down rn in front of those they trust#it makes easier to discuss a plan that's already impossible of it own and it also works that they have allura and gilmore there#they should know and im so glad they do now. they have more insight with magic than most of vm#PLUS from a viewer side... its SO FUCKING COOL seeing this shit unfold omg tal is a genius#he did it in the most dramatic and safe way possible. and matt talking about cassandra and gilmore and allura's reactions just#so good. it almost makes me glad they are all now on the edge like ofc raishan is strongest them all of them#but GOD the way she compells with what percy asks of her? and powerful mages looking at vm and waiting for their guide? A+ SCENE#im so. so excited to see this animated right after percy kisses vex you don't understand me.#he said fuck it I don't fear anything anymore and FUCKING WENT FOR IT#he really is my most special boy. i want to pick his brain and study him.#insane little guy feeding into my insane little mind👍 cool.#kelly says#critical role#critical role spoilers#just in case anyone stumble upon it but I doubt anyone is more later than I am#still putting it here just in case.#dl#also edit: for what's worth i love the messy plan they came up with. it is genuinely the best they can do rn and also i wholeheartedly#with travis lol if they have time they SHOULD go to the fire plan and kill raishan after killing thordak but anyway. lets see how it goes .#also sorry for so much cr blogging tonight... its percy's fault mostly.#ill tone it down its just first week of vacation i had it in me to watch a ton of cr and i didnt expected percahlia to happen#anyway... my beloveds.

Are there any fic ideas that you'd want to see but don't want to write?
Oh boy! Of course!
To be honest, the Green Lantern story is one of the big ones lmfao. It would be a massive undertaking for an audience of maybe five people. A niche audience normally doesn't stop me, but for such a long story, there's other uses of my time. There is also the fact that it just feels made for television. Same with my Legion of Superheroes Zoobomafoo thing - it just doesn't feel right in a text format. It's webcomic coded. I wish I could draw sometimes!
Then there's the story ideas for my AUs and other fandoms I've moved on from. There's still a few ideas for the No Chip AU in my back pocket (Cody redemption feat. Boba Fett following him around Tatooine yelling at him; Fox as the vigilante sidekick to his insane PA) and my normal Roleswap (Luke & Leia embark on a Great Father Mystery Hunt and bother Fox in the woods). There's also the continuation stories/sequels I've started but haven't finished and don't know if they will get finished (Roleswap Obi-Wan meets his birth family; my Buffy fic Angel and Cordelia through the years). There's other unfinished stories there (the Frenchie story which is literally only missing the final scene, the Heroes For Hire meeting story which is literally only missing the final scene) which I'm pretty sure I'll finish when I feel like it. I don't consider those WIPs so much as 'when I care again I'll go finish them'.
Then there's the stories that I just couldn't make into a decent story (the Naruto fix-it; the roleswap(ish?) story with adult bounty hunters Boba and Omega teaching runaway clones Luke and Leia the power of family and incredible violence). Not every idea is good outside of concept lol.
TL;DR: If I have a fic idea but haven't written it, it's because of one or more reasons: a) the idea itself is too big, b) the idea just doesn't seem right for fic, c) I've moved on from the fandom and don't want to work on it at this moment anymore, d) it just wouldn't make a good story.
If you notice, these are all active choices on my part. I only mention this because a lot of my friends can't relate, so I don't know how common it is even though I assumed it was common, and it's kind of hard to describe: there's no barrier between me having an idea and writing it. Does that make sense? If I have an idea and it'll make a good story and I want to write it I'll write it, at least until I realize that it wouldn't make a good story and I scrap it. If I think about something for too long I write it [this is why I am easily egged on][this is also why I write things I swore never to write very frequently].
Writing is like. It's easy. You just write stuff. You just think something and then you write it. It's uncomplicated.
If it's bad. Writing is easy if what you're writing is bad. It's easy to write 100k if the 100k is bad. There's a ton of shortcuts you can take, which are really useful for beginning writers and was really useful for me a few years ago. I can describe those if you'd like. It's much, much, much harder to write something good. It's hardest when you need something to be good. Writing a good 100k is really hard. I am constantly telling people not to jump into the novels kjlsdf.
Double TL;DR that has nothing to do with the topic: You can write whatever you want if you're okay with it being bad. Making bad art rocks and is a lot of fun and completely necessary towards my emotional well-being. I highly recommend it.
