this is carroway - he's the best 😎👽

this is gonna be a long post cause i have so much art and content to gush about. i love this kid 👇

Some fun character details:

he was originally supposed to be like the 90's movie tough bully kid but he's ended up just being a stupid asshole. he probably likes to think he's really cool and tough 💪

has 3 younger sisters, hates being outnumbered by girls

huge foodie and finishes whatever you don't eat. not fussy at all

always leaving his mittens outside. they get all wet and gross in the snow

affectionately ripping on everyone he loves. he's a total asshole but most people know he doesn't mean half the shit he says. the real ones tolerate him 😔🤙

he doesn’t know he’s bisexual (don’t tell him, he’ll find out on his own)

Hobbies & Interests

Aliens. Carroway is a firm believer in alien life and has an immense interest in UFO sightings, alien communication and all things outer-space. He often brags to his classmates that he has been abducted and probed, and is friends with the Martians that visit South Park sometimes (do any of them believe him?). He has a telescope that he set up in his friend Dante’s treehouse which he uses to spot UFOs in the night.

FUN FACT: His probe is linked with Cartman's. It's the connection that makes it possible for OCs to exist in the same universe as canon characters.

Drums. He has a drum set in his garage on which he practices every day after school. He has exceptional rhythm and is very talented. He keeps drumsticks in his backpack just in case he encounters a drumset or anything he can make a beat with (tables, benches, trashcans, etc.) Neighbors complain to his parents about the noise, so his garage is sound-proofed to the best of Mr. Carroway’s ability.

Snowboarding. Carroway goes snowboarding every few weeks. His family do snowboarding trips and he LOVES it. He also skateboards and rides his bike when he’s not up in the mountains, kid just likes to go fast. He dreams of being a professional snowboarder when he’s older.

TFBW: Boarderline

Boarder is a special flying support unit, part of Coon & Friends. He delivers high-impact quick attacks with his hoverboard and can heal/cure status conditions with his awesome space beams. As a speedster he utilizes the whole battlefield and is constantly moving, making him difficult to hit.

Origins:

He was a human that got abducted and genetically modified by Martians to serve and protect the alien race. After battling in many galactic wars he returned to his home in Colorado. His abilities were noticed by the superhero organization, Coon & Friends and Boarder was recruited to join their alliance. He provides support to Coon & Friends in battle.

Design:

Inspired by the gear he wears when he goes snowboarding.

His superhero costume consists of a white bodysuit with black tape accents and a big old metal zip. There's reflective blue strips on the gloves, boots and around the edge of his signature spaceboard. He's got these iconic space goggles that protect his face when he’s flying at the speed of light.

His name is a play on words - board (from his hoverboard) and borderline (being only just good enough for Coon & Friends). Allies call him Boarder for short.

SOT: Skullrogue

Skullrogue is Carroway’s Stick of Truth character.

He is a rogue-class unit and is quick and sneaky on the battlefield. He has a long black hooded cloak and a skull mask. His main weapon is a pair of daggers that are enchanted with flame magic. He cannot use magic himself but he is proficient with weapons, especially the daggers. He throws them and uses them to stab enemies in the back.

Skullrogue has an undisclosed edgy backstory, like any rogue player. He is mysterious and broody and so cool. He is loyal to the Wizard King and thinks Princess Kenny is hot.

Post-COVID

As a young adult, Carroway becomes a professional snowboarder and competes nationally in competitions. He becomes famous and earns a lot of money from his career, travelling the world for competitions. He makes it all the way to the Winter Olympics, representing the USA in the snowboarding category

After a career-ending injury in his mid-30's, he had to retire from snowboarding early and now lives off his sponsors and used-to-be-a-big-shot money. Despite being wealthy, he moved back to South Park and lives in a trailer (it’s easier than having a huge house).

He sometimes needs a walking aid to get around and is medicated for chronic back pain.

He was too busy with his career to find love when he was younger, so he stays single and lonely in his 40s. He still goes out and does sport events, commentaries and sponsorships - he remains famous even though he cannot compete anymore. He’s like a living legend in the winter sports community.

I'm still working on a PCOV design for him so stay tuned for that...

I made this post 7 years ago after my wife left me and my life was falling apart.

These 7 years have been some of the darkest times in my life, and considering how fucking ancient I am, that’s really saying something.

I thought humanity was beyond cruel, that Sinners were nothing but awful, irredeemable monsters. My daughter and her hotel have taught me otherwise.

My life is finally looking up. I’m starting to regain a sense of clarity I haven’t had since fucking Eden. And I have her, her Fallen gf, and their rag-tag bunch of Sinners to thank for that.

So thank you, Charlie. I’ve said it in person, but I’ll say it again here. Thank you for showing me that the gift of free will was not wasted. That what I did wasn’t all bad. I love you, sweetie.

finally got around to posting this 💕 currently dealing with admissions rn which SUCKS bleh

also gonna take the liberty here to make pc pregnant w their kid bc why not 😎👉👉 if u want just a rando pregnancy lmk!!

⚠️ warnings: heavy pregnancy talk: water breaking, stressful births, etc. mentions of harper being less than savory to pregnant people, reader is able to give birth, possessiveness, breeding kink/baby trapping.

Wren:

if you hid it from him

if you actually managed to hide your pregnancy up to this point from this man, color him impressed. his whole job is being in the know. most of that info is directed towards Remy’s profitability but ya know, never hurts to have a few aces up your sleeves. and he has. so many.

night started off simple enough, a game of cards with his puppy playing across from him; you’ve gotten good after all these times, your bluffs have been harder to read, even harder when you wear the collar he had gotten made for you

its when you stop bluffing and throwing back your sharp wit that he both loves and despises when he looks up. in fact, you’ve stopped doing everything. you’re completely still. not a response he’s seen from you. and it worries him.

“you ok, pup?”

you give a little shake of your head, and then drop your cards to the table. your hands shoot to your abdomen, breath heavy, placing your forehead on the cool wood table. Wren is at your side in an instant, hands wandering over you, looking for wounds. it’s too much, the pain, the sensation of warmth moving across your body, and you push them away weakly.

when he doesn’t find any, his mind immediately goes to the worst. he pulls his gun on his men, wondering which one decided to poison the wrong person.

he’s not supposed to care about you this much. you’re just a body in his bed. he needs his gang, he knows this. he needs them to trust him, needs them to be ready to lay down their lives for him. but he does cares about you. too much about you. you, his puppy. the one he’s trained so perfectly, invested so much time in. and he wont let this transgression go.

“no… wren,” you call, trying your hardest to uncurl yourself and grab at his arm. he pulls his gun up and away from you, easily moving it out of your reach. but you manage to will yourself out of the chair. when it happens.

you hear a snap, and your body reacts, looking up to Wren, his perfectly trained puppy, thinking he had snapped his fingers for your attention, but one hand is holding the gun and the other is at his side, so you’re confused — when your feel your thighs dampen. you’ve already lost your bottoms in the first round, so you can feel all the wetness that runs down your leg and suddenly, you put it together.

he does too, seeing the puddle on the floor. his gun is instantly away, holding you as your struggle to stay on your feet while the contractions get worse.

“puppy… you been keepin’ secrets?” you nod, pitifully. the look on your face is almost literally the definition of a kicked wet dog, and Wren is amused at how well you play your part.

it’s the next words out of your mouth that makes him stop. you can’t manage many words through the contractions, but you manage to get out, “yours…”

“Everyone get the fuck out,” He spits, still unmoving, eyes trained on you. His men, who have been watching the entire time, almost in shock at how quickly so much has happened, are out the door in less then 3 seconds. They all know that voice. They’re all convinced they won’t be seeing you anymore, and honestly, so are you. and you shut your eyes tight, wondering if he’d at least take the baby to somewhere better then Bailey’s orphanage after you’ve been taken care of.

but instead, there’s a firm, gentle hand on your back, and you open your eyes to met wren’s. he’s so close to you, inches away. you can feel his breath on your face as he assesses the situation. “i’ll take care of you, darlin’. don’t worry.”

no time for prep. no time for anything. much to his displeasure, he has to get you to the hospital. he picks you up easily, trying to be as gentle as he can, barging out of the cottage and telling his men to start the car.

he spends the entire hospital visit watching harper with eyes like a wren hawk. has a HUGE, completely out of character outburst when harper has to actually touch you to help you give birth. takes the baby away from him as soon as possible.

visiting hours do not apply to him. if they kick him out, he’s just going to break back in so…

if you didn’t hide it from him

a pregnant partner is almost like a status symbol to him. when you tell him, he’s over the moon. doesn’t show it, simply nods and says, “ok.”

but your whole existence to him changes. you aren’t just a fun bedmate. you’re his show dog, his prized pooch. wants you to wear tight shirts, show off that belly he’s blessed you with. show off his fertility, show off how safe he can keep you in this horrible place.

this sometimes means you come with him on ‘tasks.’

dangerous? yes. but don’t worry. you have your own team of bodyguards, people wren has known the longest and trusts the most, who would die for him, to protect you. they’d take a bullet for you. it’s an intimidation tactic. even bailey would raise an eyebrow at wren’s shameless flaunt of power. but wren isn’t bothering him or his business so he doesn’t care too much.

in fact, bailey might use it as leverage. but that’s another story.

in private, he gets touchy. super touchy. lots of pregnancy sex. he always has an arm around you or hand on you. you go where he does.

when your water breaks, he’s right there. holding you, breathing with you through contractions. would prefer a home birth, honestly, with a member of his, recently hired, who has midwife experience. he doesn’t really like the hospital. or harper. especially harper.

he’s probably been preparing for this day and will refuse any jobs from Remy for the two weeks leading up to your due date. much to his displeasure. has made his team practice drills for this, so they jump into action when it happens.

he’s the one holding your hand, if you want a water birth, he’ll get in with you, reminding you how strong you are to have carried his babes for so long, he doesn’t care about the blood or anything else. as long as the baby and you are healthy. he’s seen and be through a lot of shit, birth doesn’t scare him off.

Landry

if you hid it from him

like wren, it is VERY hard to hide anything from this man, because you not only have to hide it from him, you have to hide it from the whole town. one drunk idiot with a loose tongue will have Landry at Bailey’s doorstep, demanding to speak to you about those rumors.

so if you actually managed it, congratulations! You might have a shot at working at Landry’s bar!

of course, he’ll very upset if he knows you’ve accepted drinks while pregnant. please don’t do that to this man. yes, he’s a shady asshole but he’s less of an asshole then anyone else in this town.

but when your water breaks? at his bar? he shuts down. Landry is not a doer. see, he takes pride in being able to avoid any doing and being able to sit comfortably on his wealth like a dragon. he will be practically on the verge of passing out. his hands will be shaking. but he’ll eventually get you in his car and to the hospital.

he adores you l, but, uh. this isn’t his forte. he’s ready to bolt when you’re in (semi) safe hands.

he doesn’t even put two and two together until you’re grabbing his hand, asking him, strained as you lay in the hospital bed, if he wants to stay and see his baby.

ok. Landry has officially shut down now. what.

oh my god. he doesn’t think anything could be as cute as holding the new little infant in his arms. it’s adorable. and he’s honestly in love with how utterly perfect it is. its cute little nose.

he is 100% knocking you up again. give this bachelor a taste of domestic life and he’s going to keep you there.

honestly, not much changes besides Landry is a little bit more prepared for the birth.

he blacks out for about 5 minutes when you tell him. you’re sitting in front of him, at a table in his bar, long before it opens, waving your hand in front of his face worriedly when he comes to. “we’re… having a baby. a baby.” probably repeats this for another 5 minutes. it is honestly so concerning to you, but considering what this town is like, you don’t expect him to stick around. but eventually, when you’re turning to leave, he grabs your wrist, a determined look coming over his face, and he promises you that he will be the best dad he can be.

orphanage? haha sorry Bailey. PC is getting kidnapped moved to Landry’s room above the bar. he probably sells him a share of his bar in return. worth it though. he will absolutely not take no for an answer. you’re in his sight morning and night. he will drive you to school and pick you up. he makes sure you take your vitamins and eat good meals.

honestly, probably the best option to get knocked up by, despite him being a helicopter mom. man’s been a bachelor for so long that settling down actually seems… nice.

as long as you’re able to turn a blind eye to his actual source of income and ready to be under scrutiny of cops and always surrounded by shady people. 🤷‍♀️ if you don’t feel safe, he’ll do his best to make sure you do. security systems, an actual house, whatever you need.

remember that hoard I was talking about earlier? oh yeah, this dude’s got a bit of cash he can burn. skullduggery is the easiest source of high income in the game, he’s where all the money is flowing to.

he never mentions your pregnancy to anyone and probably won’t. it’s too risky in his line of work. keeps you separated from his work. and if you were selling him stolen goods before? well, that’s gotta stop. will refuse anything you bring him and demand you quit putting yourself in unnecessary danger. will lock you in his room if you don’t.

packs your hospital bags months before your due date. he’s so nervous. he uncharacteristically messes up orders and drops glasses when he’s working and the thought pops into his head. blames it on nicotine.

speaking of. chain smokes. not in the house or near you, but he does to calm himself down over the whole ordeal. needs it to stay sane. when he gets too worked up, you tell him to go have one to chill out.

wren and mickey absolutely find out and make fun of him.

when your water breaks, it’s during bar hours, of course. he won’t let you downstairs when it’s working hours so you have to call him to tell him. tells everyone to get the fuck out and considering how worked up he is, they do without any complaint.

carries you, literally bridal style, to his car.

again, an absolute wreck at the hospital. paces. won’t leave you to smoke though, you half wish he did, however, because he’s somewhat of a pain. jumping at every sound of pain you make, demanding Harper around, you can tell even Harper is annoyed.

but when it’s all done and over with, you have to almost pry the baby from his arms. tries to bottle feed it, but doesn’t get how to do it right. at least he’s trying.

hope you’re ready to be pregnant 24/7. he’s addicted :).

loves watching you breastfeed, if it's possible for you to do so.

Congratulations on snagging the last spot anon! 👉😎👉 and while it technically wasn’t a sagau event initially it pretty much did turn into one didn’t it lol. I kept it gender neutral since you didn’t specify! I couldn’t find a way to set a scene where he shows his full dragon form that was satisfying, so I went a more subtle kind of route; but worry not, rock man do go grr, so mission accomplished.

“Honestly, who do they think they are strutting about like they own the place? Too bad none of those fancy clothes will make them look any less repulsive.”

The words shouldn’t have stung as much as they did, you’d been called far worse things when you first arrived in Teyvat, but you’d flinched slightly regardless. Zhongli’s grasp on your hand tightens for a moment, his previous smiling expression now strained.

“Hm? Did they bother you my love?”

He sends you a small reassuring glance and let’s go of your hand before walking over to the gossiping citizens. To most people, he would look to be completely unbothered, but you had known him long enough to sense the underlying anger behind his movements. Within the Jade Palace, Ningguang paused in the midst of her paperwork, glancing at her Vision, which was glowing far brighter than usual.

“Pardon my intrusion, but would you perhaps mind sparing a moment to have a brief chat?”

His tone was harder than it had been in a long time; cold and angry. The two gossipers were notably distressed, but no passerby bothered to take notice of the situation; far too busy doing their own day to day tasks.

“If in the future, you have something unpleasant to say about [Name], I strongly recommend you keep it to yourself.”

Zhongli’s eyes shone gold as he smiles threateningly, the sight of teeth far too sharp to be human striking fear into the culprits. The eyes of the usually polite man seem almost predatory in nature, as if he were a great beast contemplating how to finish off it’s prey.

“Otherwise, I would be happy to assist in… insuring… it will not occur again.”

The consultant turns and leaves, uncaring about the terror he’d just caused. His eyes cease glowing as he retakes your hand, the coldness of before completely gone.

“Please let me know if they bother you again my love. I will see to it that it does not happen again.”

HI!!!! i remember you too, i always get really excited when artists i like come here. tumblr is the only website i really use for myself and not just to post art, so it means i get to follow them and interact with their art 🥺 i ditched deviantart for everything that isn't posting art and bitching about the website via status updates lmfao, the new inbox and watched deviants tabs are so... out of the way and counter intuitive. hate it there.

anyway, I've written a general tumblr how-to post because there's been so many exoduses (exodi??) from other platforms over the last few years, but I don't think I've ever written one for artists? or at least I can't find it if I did. so here are some hot tips 😎👉👉

NUMBER ONE BIGGEST RULE: if you're an artist and you want to actively gain a following and curate your art, please have a separate art blog where you post exclusively or near exclusively art. it's ok to reblog a post here or there, but tumblr is a website About curating and having specific blogs! it's not that people don't want to see or hear about the artist behind the work, but they don't want 43289 unrelated memes and posts for fandoms they're not in 😅 admittedly i have skipped following some good artists here because their reblogs completely drown out their art and clog my dashboard. people really like curated blogs, almost every artist has a separate art blog 'round these parts. (it's completely fine to post WIPs and text posts discussing your art too, some people would like to see your process!)

speaking of curating: tags are your best friend! tumblr tracks the first 20 tags I believe, so use the first 20 tags to add your important search terms. this is where you put anything you'd want to turn up in the search. really you probably wont have more than 10 of these tags. after that you are welcome to ramble in the tags or use organizational tags for your specific blog.

not sure how to tag? search up what terms you'd use to try to find your own post if you were someone else, and see what tags popular posts in that tag used. you should ALWAYS use the #art and #artists on tumblr tags, as well as any relevant common trigger/content warning tags :D here's how i do it:

FOR FANDOM POSTS: where applicable, I tag Fandom, Fandom Acronym, Featured Characters, Featured Ships, and sometimes #[fandom] fanart and/or #[fandom acronym] fanart. FOR ORIGINAL POSTS: you can tag your art medium (digital art, traditional art, sculpting, etc), the general aesthetic or themes, time periods, and if it features your OCs you can use #oc and their names so if people want to see all your OC content they can find it. admittedly i mostly post fanart so i am very spontaneous with the tags i use on my original art posts lol

4. shorter captions seem to be preferred by the masses, I personally either dump my extra comments in the tags of the original post or I'll put them under a cut. unless it's extremely relevant to the post, like explaining ideas or headcanons

5. have all your handy links in your bio! you can use basic HTML coding to insert links with text and put in line breaks. you should have links to other socials (or something like a carrd that links them for you) and your support streams, like shops and tip jars and patreons. and ofc a little about you and what people can expect to see you draw!

6. have your inbox open! you don't have to take requests, but sometimes someone will throw a brilliant idea at you that you may Coincidentally be inclined to draw. it's also just fun to interact with people who like what you do! sweet comments go a long way

7. last one i can think of - do a seIf-reblog at some point in the day. people live in different timezones and not everybody finishes their dashboard. personally I schedule posts for 12 pm cst and then one seIf-reblog at 8 pm cst. it's also okay to reblog your older artworks for new followers to see, especially if you haven't posted in a while. TV airs re-runs and so can you B)

headcanon a (realistic): do not bring her to board game night if you were planning on winning or having fun. she takes every single game so seriously and kicks ass every single time. she becomes a millionare in monopoly and nobody was aware that was even possible. shes even good at quiplash because she memorises the stupid jokes that her classmates keep repeating day after day and puts that into the text box each time. of COURSE her classmates are going to pick the answer that says "freeby fazber" why WOULDN'T they

headcanon b (may not be realistic but it is hilarious): see the thing about celeste is it is truly impossible to tell what parts of her story are real and what are complete lies .. i think she lives an extremely average life outside of being "celestia ludenburg" and that is why she created this false persona in the first place. born to a working class family definitely went through it a bit when she was younger but was able to garner quite a bit of notoriety and wealth from gambling to get her own place-- but definitely not enough to live in luxury. enough to get her out of poverty but not enough to avoid living paycheck to paycheck yknow. the REAL headcanon i have is that every single time she brings one of her classmates back to her home she rents out a different spot each time just to keep them on their toes. eventually she lets one of them (idk sayaka maybe) finally enter her actual house and its this one bedroom apartment with no air conditioner and a bunch of gothic lolita posters everywhere and sayaka genuinely thinks shes being pranked until celeste is like "no im being serious. youve signed a non disclosure agreement btw this information will not be leaving this room"

headcanon c (heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends): i dont think even celeste is aware of what her true personality is anymore. i really do like to believe that there are parts of it that are still left over, most of which is fuelling this deeply rooted imposter syndrome she certainly tries not to dwell on, but by all means her desire to seperate herself from taeko yasuhiro has caused her to practically forget who she once was. telling celeste to "stop lying" is much easier said than done, and i think it'll take years before she could ever reach the point where she is truly authentic and "herself". and even then celestia ludenburg will certainly still remain in a lot of her actions and speech patterns. she wont just wake up one day and suddenly be vulnerable and fragile and guilty, it's gonna take her a loooooooong while to adjust

headcanon d (unrealistic, but i will disregard canon about it): i think she's a bit geekier than she lets on GHFDKG its that small bit of taeko thats still there......... she would never admit it in a million years but sometimes, SOMETIMES, shes able to listen in on hifumis ramblings and go "oh i remember that show. his opinion about this character is totally wrong. oh well time to add that to the list of things i do not like about that man." oooooooo also fun fact whenever i write celestia in my "danganronpa is a reality tv show thats been going on for ages" aus i always always write her as a character that adapts with the changing trends. same with ibuki!! her aesthetic adapts over the years towards what is more recognisable with the target audience at the time, and while it definitely isn't as noticeable as ibuki's style swap there are certainly a LOT of wild changes team dr tries to throw at her before quickly reverting her style back and pretending it never happened ghfjdksgk

Summary: Finally after Jake and you are together, you two move to a new apartment. There you get entangled with a crazy serial killer?

-Today’s the pine Glade Festival, you know! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year already. It still feels like everything happened yesterday…

-Good thing Pine Glade falls on Saturday this year. I even took two days' leave just for this! Ew…That darn internship. I can only guess how horrible a permanent job would be… 😩 Argh…I don’t want to graduate!

-Supposedly, these two days will be my only vacation while I’m on probation. They literally work us to death you know! Ugh. No wonder you wanted to blow up the government 🤭

-Yeah. Yeah. I know. Now you’d say, “…That was unnecessary.”

-I know…I just…

-I miss you, Jake. 😟

-Really.

-You still remember me, do you? Is it still dangerous for you to reach me?

-Tell them to come! FBI or whatever! I’ll knock them down for you!

-Well, I guess that’s it for now. I’m going to arrive shortly.

-I can still remember that day…a year ago. Hannah’s a lot better now, though she still goes for therapy. Lilly misses you a lot too. Richy is almost recovered too. Though the doctors say some of his burns would leave scars.

-Okay. I’m at Duskwood now. It’d be great to see you around you know… After all, when your gorgeous girlfriend walks around all alone, so many guys wish to keep her company. 😏

As soon as getting off the bus, Oshi hurried to the hospital to see her friend as she did for the past year whenever she visited Duskwood. After one year of painful treatment, Richy had finally managed almost to heal the severe burns on his arms and back.

As she was about to step in, a cheerful voice called, “Oshi?!”

As Oshi turned around, her lips curved up. “Jessy!”

After hugging each other for a while, they stepped in. “I’ve really missed you, Oshi! It’s been so long since you last visited us.”

“I know right? I wanted to come soon too…What to do. The internship is killing me.”

“Aww…Do they make you work too hard?”

“Too hard wouldn’t do any justice. They’re working us to death! I crawl home half-dead after work!”

The two stopped giggling as they arrived at the patient room. Oshi carefully knocked the door, “Come in.”

Richy, sitting by the window, smiled brightly at the two. “Long time no see, Oshi!”

“I know right? So sorry I couldn’t come because the work was killing me.”

The afternoon arrived as the three chatted, occasionally laughing out loud.

“Still no news Oshi?”

Oshi looked at her hands at Richy’s question, the question almost all of her friends from Duskwood ask her every time they see each other. “…Nothing yet.”

“Maybe he would put you in danger if he were to reach you. He was like that the other time also, right? When Lilly’s video was uploaded?”

When Jessy soothed her, she chuckled, trying to hide the bitter feelings, “He’ll come. Definitely. You know, the whole guy is weird.”

The two ladies went on a lunch date at the Black Swan before finding Cleo at the Gates of Hope. As Cleo claimed last year, she was swamped at the Pine Glade Festival. Not further disturbing her, Jessy and Oshi left to walk around. Hannah and Thomas were to come along with Lilly at six. Since Dan got the job at Aurora, to which Jessy had to beg Phil practically, Dan was rarely available after dusk.

Everything was peaceful in the strange yet beautiful town, Duskwood. As they shopped in the Market Place, time flew by. Thus the two ladies headed to the Rainbow Cafe, where the group agreed to meet.

But the joyous times were bound to fly away quickly. As Hannah was still a little unstable, Thomas took her home before the fireworks. Lilly also had promised to help out Cleo, thus leaving only Jessy and Oshi to see the fireworks. Cleo and Lily promised to join them later at the Aurora.

When they arrived at the Black-water lake, it was already crowded. “It’s your first time, right Oshi?”

She nodded excitedly, rubbing her hands together to warm them up a bit. Jessy added with sparkling eyes, “It’s really stunning! When the fireworks reflect on the lake, it’s so beautiful! Like you won’t be able to imagine ever! You have to see it yourself!”

Soon Jessy went off to buy coffee as the wind was cold, leaving Oshi alone at the lake. The time was nine fifty-nine, with one minute remaining for the fireworks show to start. Oshi started to look for Jessy. As she looked back in vain, she noticed a warm gaze as she turned another way. An eye she had never felt before yet felt so familiar. Oshi turned back around as quickly as she could.

The bright, colorful fireworks exploded throughout the night sky… The Black-water lake reflected them. It was as if they were floating in the sky…

A pair of deep blue eyes met her dark brown eyes…

It was as if only the two of them existed in the entire universe…

As if the whole world finally let them have some space…

As if two broken souls were united…

Everything felt completed…

Everything seemed to be alright.

There was absolutely no way she would not recognize this gaze. Even if the tall figure in front of her wearing a black hoodie was a total stranger, that warm gaze welled up in her eyes. Her lips could only tremble, letting no word out. Her entire body seemed numb, unable to lift a finger. Oshi just stood still…staring at the sapphire eyes.

Even though a distance of a few meters remained between them, they had never felt this close before…

A hand slightly shook her from the behind, to which she turned back, surprised. Jessy was staring at her, concerned, “Oshi? Did something happen? I called you many times.” She handed a warm cup of coffee to Oshi as she continued, “You didn’t seem to hear me. Are you alright?”

As soon as Jessy’s words ended, Oshi turned back to no avail.

‘Was that my imagination?’

But it felt so real. So real that it couldn’t have been a mere hallucination. With a flustered heart, Oshi headed to the Aurora with Jessy.

“Oshi! You’re drunk!”

Jessy’s eyes were watery as she looked at her miserable friend. She raised her head tipsily to look at Jessy. With blushed cheeks and hazy eyes, she looked prettier than usual. Jessy hurriedly put a coat on her, supporting Oshi to get on her feet, “Stop texting him already…Oshi…It breaks my heart to see you like this.”

Of course, the result was Oshi welling up in tears as well. This course flow wasn’t even out of the ordinary for Phil by now. It happened almost every time Oshi got drunk. As he watched his little sister and her detective friend all drunk and teary, Phil gulped down a glass of water. It was past midnight, yet the two ladies didn’t seem to want to go home yet.

“Why won’t he come already? Ugh…” Oshi stood up, her feet unbalanced. “I’ll just beat those bastards! Let them come! F-” Jessy hurriedly covered her drunk friend’s mouth so that she would not openly curse the investigation bureau.

Phil chuckled softly as he kept watching her, Oshi, the infamous girl who accidentally got tangled in Duskwood. At first, it was just for fun; she was a fun and easy-going person. He was just in his habit and flirted with her. Albeit now that he had known her for a little over a year, she was a much greater woman. Thus, Phil had a good impression of her. Oshi also seemed to get along with his little sister genuinely.

Though Phil was often annoyed at them, he didn’t dislike Jessy’s group of friends. The problem was that he was the one who had to sort out most of the trouble they made. Cleo and Lily left long ago, Hannah and Thomas didn’t come at all, Dan was busy working, and Richy was in the hospital. Frankly, it left a bitter aftertaste when everything ended last year almost breaking apart the group.

Maybe thanks to this girl, the group was still hanging together, albeit by a thin thread.

“Dan! Jack Daniels, You’ve finally grown up! Heh he! Though flower shop suits you much better-”

“Oshi! Don’t! Don’t say it! Dan would kill me!”

He avoided drinking alcohol purposely so that he could take the girls home. Phil stood in front of them, and Oshi, who finally noticed him, looked straight into his eyes with half-closed eyes. Her big eyes were red and swollen due to crying and weeping.

Oshi stood unsteadily, pointing the index finger at him. “Phil! Where have you been?!”

“I’m so sorry, Phil! Oshi is drunk!” Jessy kept apologizing as she tried to shut Oshi down. She was worried that Phil might get angry at her again. Phil and Jessy just started to get along fine in the past year, thanks to Oshi.

“Phil! You have to be good to Jessy! That’s not how a big brother should be!” Phil chuckled as he nodded while Oshi steadied herself and sharpened her big eyes. “And you! Stop using those emojis!”

His heart held a kind of bittersweet feeling as he listened. Even after an entire year, Oshi was still holding onto a man whose face she didn’t know at the very least. A mysterious hacker who suddenly appeared in her life and then suddenly disappeared…

Though Phil most certainly believed that his feelings for her were a mere infatuation, it still bothered him at times. Especially when she cried out like this, Oshi, always a happy-go-lucky cheerful lady, was weeping like a child because of that man. Who was he to make her like this? Was he such a great man? Was ‘Jake’ even his real name?

Alas, he finally managed to get the two ladies in his car. Oshi kept sobbing, Jessy silently soothing her throughout the way back. Then she would suddenly sober up and apologize for making a scene. Strangely, Phil was happy that Oshi seemed to be herself while she was with them.

As usual, Oshi was sober when they arrived at Jessy’s and apologized. “I don’t even know where to begin…I’m so sorry, Phil. I might have disturbed your business too. You even had to drive us home.” Her lips slightly protruded as she sulked. A soft smile came to his face as he thought how cute she looked.

As Phil was on his way, he noticed a man walking on the road towards Jessy’s. As many strangers visited Duskwood for the Pine Glade festival every year, he did not think much of it.

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical…)?

Golden! And since their eyes are big, so people do notice them easily (but I guess that's also because asura heads are also usually big)... Also! They glow in the dark. 😏 It starts as soon as dawn/dusk/any slight darkening... (realistically they just reflect light but hhhh glowy eyes pog)

👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their “ghostly experiences”, if any?

They do! I mean yeah since ghosts exist in Tyria They did see some even when they were traveling the world, but the number of ghost sightings greatly increased in Elona (*coughs* The Desolation). They usually don't care/bother though so they don't have any experiences to speak of.

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

Hmm maybe grief? Like... they can deal with it but pretty badly as they haven't learned to mourn properly since they never had the "chance".

😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into “flight” or “fight”?

Fight! 💥 They're ready to throw hands at the slightest spook anytime.

🌙 MOON - what is your oc’s greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

Hmmm I guess at the core of them, "be the wisest necromancer of all time" is the one. They almost straight up died for it once (days of starving in the prisons of Gandara just so they could learn necromancy from Joko), so yeah they're willing to go pretty far. 😈

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears?

They're terrified of any kind/amount of memory loss. While some people may fear being forgotten, Gliaster fears forgetting.

Mundane fears, mostly...sand sharks! More specifically, getting jumpscared and eaten by a sand shark.

🌹 ROSE - do they like valentines day? have they been confessed to before? have they confessed to anyone before?

They don't really care for it; they love their beloved every 365 day of the year! Plus, they prefer surprises; affection and gifts are best when they're unexpected and not "ohh I bought you this because it's x day."

And yes to both! Gliaster is (Rick Astley voice) no stranger to love and has been on both end of confessions.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

My inspiration was my love for Joko and Elona, which kickstarted breaking Gliaster out of the shackles of being the Commander and turned them into my 100% "original" character! But I remember the very first thing I decided about them was their gender.❤️ I looked at asura and went wow I want what they have. I instantly knew Gliaster would have none of any gender.

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

Even though it sounds nice and appealing, their voice is quite high-pitched, which is something they're insecure about (and the older they get the more insecure they get as well). I do not have a spoken voice claim, only sung one, but it is Aneela Mirza! Some might know her from the 90's europop duo Toy-Box, lol.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

Oh yes, a loved one in danger for sure... But also some source of knowledge that is thought to be very valuable. They try to think rationally and be careful if a suspicion of a bait ever happens (knowing well they're not-so-liked in some areas) but god do their emotions and curiosity get the better of them sometimes...

👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?

Definitely the books they write post-Joko, which is something no one really has done before (especially not from Gliaster's POV, who knew Joko intimately for 10 years)

They also want to be remembered for their necromancer skills, because it's something they've honed all their life.

🎵 MUSIC NOTE - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

N/A for the first part of the question, but yee I have few songs like that!

"Whenever Wherever" by Shakira is their theme song (like the lyrics "Lucky that I love a foreign land for / the lucky fact of your existence" is sooooo perfect)

"Dancing with the Dead" by Powerwolf is pog as well (The whole thing just inspires me to really turn them into the next expansion villain lmao)

And any song that comes from their voiceclaim! (especially non-english songs)

🎡 FERRIS WHEEL - are they someone who wants to kiss at the top of the ferris wheel?

Not particularly want, but if it happened, they wouldn't mind... 😏 (They're not really a fan of cheesy stuff like that anyway)

🔫 PISTOL - do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?

Nope! They turn their back hardly, and if they do so, their back will be covered. They're prepared for everything because they believe that anything they have done (for example, treason and murder :^)) could also be done to them. And yes as mentioned, they would betray someone (and did before) but only by their own decision and not an outside control.

While I'm still in my shadow ban era here, I figured I'd take a moment to share something I've been on the fence about sharing here anyway... hahaha!

Sort of FFIX related? It has Kuja and Sal in it, at the very least. 😅 Particularly Sal, though!

A little while back, I took the time to mix and match + sculpt and retexture both the Dissidia NT models of Tifa and Rinoa to entertain some idea of what Sal may look like in 3D!

I actually had a previous model that was a slightly modified Larxene bust with modified Rinoa hair that I used for Sal as a reference, no textures. I felt like building upon that one day and, well, here we are!

I just… wanted to see what they'd look like T-posing next to one another...!

The model is SO broken, so I won't be doing anything in full 3D soon, trust me. Haha!

Learning how relatively easy it is to sculpt out 3D forms in Blender has since inspired me to entertain the idea of building some refs for other characters from scratch, though! Like Mina and Branson, for example. 🤔 Their head shapes are very particular and it'd be nice to have some models to use as reference for them. Same with Survit! (Kuja's silver dragon, in my tales.)

Since I'd be using them as art refs, I'm not sure I'd stress myself out trying to map textures and all that for them as they'd be from scratch and probably a lot harder for me to figure out, but you never know with me...

Anywho, there's some... ah, what is this? Behind the scenes sort of FFIX content, maybe? 🤔 FFIX adjacent stuff that I don't mind going under the radar. However, for the very select few who may see this... heyyy. Also, hope you're doing well! Drink water and stay classy. 😎👆👉 🥤

I got tagged by the wonderful @five4boarding and tumblr never gives me a little +1 notification icon when I get tagged in anything (like any other type of note would, so I don’t get it!!), so I live in fear that I’m always gonna miss these BUT I caught this one at least 👉😎👉

Last song: during my morning walk I randomly remembered the catchiest depression bop and then remembered the first time I looked up the guy's wiki and saw that he played hockey and I was like you're telling me a knife-footed ice-gremlin sang this???? (swiss juniors but still high level for his age bracket I think?) Anyway... Currently watching: My longstanding guilty pleasure is docs/commentary videos about any and all scams, particularly mlms/pyramid schemes. So it should come as no surprise that my brand new guilty pleasure is debt confessions/financial audits on youtube 🙈 I've been been watching a few by caleb hammer whose gimmick is that he gordon ramsey style shames people who come in with their financial records and he's like hey. why do you have $120,000 in consumer debt? why did you finance an ipad for your literal infant child?? why have you spent 30 dollars multiple times a day every day at dunkin for the last 3 months??? (the last one is an exaggeration but the first two I have seen LOL). His thumbnails are wretched I hate them so, so much, and his advice of living spartan-like for a few years to dig yourself out of the hole is ehhh maybe good in theory but generally not exactly...practical. And I think going cold turkey when you're used to constant impulse buying is basically a recipe for just eventually losing control and going on a bender. But. I'm nosy and love hearing about how people be spending their money so that's the best part of the videos for me lol

Currently reading: haven't picked up something new yet BUT I juuuust finished An Unauthorised Fan Treatise which was SO GOOD I literally slammed it nonstop for two days until I finished it. It's formatted like a rpf conspiracy theory livejournal where a fangirl of a supernatural-drama show compiles evidence that the two lead actors are secretly dating. BUT it's noted that the livejournal has been submitted as evidence into for a murder trial so y'know TWISTS AND TURNS lol. There's just something about the format that really compels me, idk I already love reading primers and conspiracies for hrpf couples that I literally have zero investment in and never will- I just enjoy the way the girlies spin a good narrative. (and also watching video essays about the uhhh less casual to super trainwreck ones like the whole larry fiasco even though I never got into 1D, as well as general fandom fiascos like msscribe and snapewives etc etc IT'S ALL SO FASCINATING TO ME 🍿👀) So it was a really natural fit for me to read in a fictional setting. Current obsession: I’m a hobbyist game maker so at all times I am rotating little bits of character development, experimental mechanics, aesthetics, ui design etc etc in my brain but it becomes much more mentally consuming during the off-season bc god knows when bruins hockey is live it is Featured Live 24/7 In My Brain. But for now... my OCs on my mind 😌💭
