should i quit my job

#classic post to make at 2:30 am #i’m just. miserable #i worked so much overtime right before christmas (like starting at 9 ending at 1am kinda shit) #and it was like okay well that was a really terrible few weeks but at least it’s over! #and then today i had to work till 9pm. #we’re just so understaffed. since i started here last sept we’ve had 5 people rotate through my team and i’m currently the only member lol #when i joined this team i was the third person!! i was 3 of 3 and now im by myself!!! #and it wasn’t so bad in the summer tbh but that was like 2 months out of the entire year lol #literally since last november it’s been like things are busy but we’re working on getting some help so it will be better soon! #i just feel like i can’t keep up and im tired and im cranky and im angry and irrititable all the time #and it was taking like a genuine physical toll before xmas like went to bed feeling so shaky and awful #anyways i’ve tired myself out here in the tags so im gonna try to sleep again but know that in my heart i had more to say #personal

#my stuff #i know i’m very tired like i’ve been getting up at 6 for a week and having shit sleep and falling asleep at like 1am #so horrible to start #but finding out from the older grad students how little we’re making has destroyed me #i will be losing money for the next YEAR bc rent and car insurance is gonna take my whole monthly paycheck #no money for food without dipping into savings. i have enough and i’ll survive but FUCK #nothing for gifts for my family. nothing for doctor’s visits. nothing for HRT. nothing for a goddamn little treat once in a while #like yes i can pay for those things from savings but it’s not sustainable!!!! #this CANNOT CONTINUE #i want to CRY i was so excited to try and start HRT soon i can’t do that like this and i still owe my parents like 30k for undergrad and #and i’m tired #i’m tired of having to worry about money. i’m tired of getting paid so little #i’m tired of not being able to spend money on myself without feeling guilty at my balance going down #this really sucks i’m just gonna do a fuck it expense and blow $500 on looking cute for my birthday/halloween #cause what’s 1 more month of scraping by even worth in the grand scheme of things

My roommate was telling me how I’ve been up until almost 6am every night and how she tells me all the time to be quieter and when I told her that coming out of her room to ask me when I’m going to bed and telling me she doesn’t know when I ask her if something is wrong doesn’t tell me to be quiet is apparently gaslighting??

#bestie has been moved around 5 times now for housing bc she can’t get along with anyone #I’m seeing why #literally. first time she’s said she wants me to be quiet. and I’m like oh yeah for sure #and then she’s like I’ve told you so many times to be quiet at night just because you’re up all night doesn’t mean I have to be #and she was like I want to change our roommate agreement bc ur such a problem #clearly you’re only doing this bc I enforced the overnight guest rule that they can’t stay past 1am #and I’m like. none of that is true?? and she’s going on and on #and then she’s like well how would you like people being awake when you want to sleep?? and I’m like that’s something I’m super used to #and then she’s like well you have no empathy at all you’re so defensive and rude it’s just not nice #and it’s like. bestie. i knew all about u before u moved in. there’s a reason we had to fill out our agreement with the housing coordinator #she’s like and you should know I’ve been in contact with our ra. and I have someone one the phone right now as a witness #this was like 20 mins into the conversation like buddy if that’s the route you wanna go I will go #also me and our ra? besties. i make her cake pops and desserts. she really liked the lemon cake pops I made #and she can’t stand my roommate bc she goes out of her way to cause problems and lie #so like. we were already talking about her today when she stopped by for a cake pop #she was just telling me earlier like hey you really should email the housing coordinator for her doing those things it’s really not alright #the things being every time I have a conversation with someone she cracks her door open to listen in #but now I can’t send that email or else it’s retaliation #this girl is an absolute trip. universally hated by every ra on this campus #also she tries to freak my ra out by telling her we talk about her all the time. i do by best to not interact with her at all if I can help #oh oh oh. and she texted my ra saying I was having people over past what’s allowed every night for a week straight. which I haven’t at all #she really underestimates how good of friends I am with my ra. alright, so, a decision has been made. i am officially going to create a new account solely dedicated to my favorite media. that will probably consist of the usual brand of gifsets, but also adding more posts about my favorite characters and shows/movies, my observations, headcanons, gripes with fandoms or the media itself, my writings, all of that good stuff. this blog is kind of messy and i need something new to be able to organize and start over with.

now what’s going to happen with this blog? i honestly have no idea. it’s possible i may use this on a more personal level, but i really have no idea what i would talk about because my life is, unfortunately, not that interesting. maybe life updates? random shit i see on my home page and want to reblog? idk. but i’m pretty much just feeling done with this account and want to start anew.

i’ll link the new account here whenever i create it. i have no idea when that will be, but hopefully soon (ish). stay tuned, i guess
