So we all know that Naruto is Horikoshi’s biggest inspiration for bnha as well as his favorite manga...

but I kinda want to just point out some stuff that Horikoshi may have based off of Naruto.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT TRYING TO SAY HORIKOSHI COPIED NARUTO, AND I AM NOT TRYING TO SAY BNHA IS A RIPOFF EITHER!

okay first, I think Aizawa was based off of Kakashi. Both are similar in so many ways. They’re both lazy/gloomy (although Aizawa wins by a landslide in terms of gloominess or fatigue)

Both passed the students they were going to expel after they both did the opposite of what they expected them to do. Izuku was able to minimize the effect of OFA on his body,

and Sasuke offering Naruto his lunch during their first misson

Plus, they both motivated their students to pass with a lie.

Both were known for expelling/failing every student in the first day

both had negative first impressions of the class...

Kakashi thought Naruto was an airhead, so that’s one of the reasons.

But Aizawa’s case was a little different, he didn’t like the kind of nonchalant attitude class 1-A had because the training seemed “fun” to them, meaning that they wouldn’t have taken it seriously.

both are fatherly/mentors in a way towards the main rival

Aizawa lectured Bakugou here, and he defended him in the ports festival and in the Kamino arc

Kakashi took Sasuke under his wing and trained him for the chuunin exams and he taught him his signature move, chidori.

Aside from that we all know that the chunin exams is a bit similar to the sports festival, the main character had a a major fight (naruto vs neji) and the rival also had some major fights too (sasuke vs gaara, neji vs hinata, lee vs gaara)

There was a lot side action in the sports festival with the other characters (like Hatsume, Shinsou etc), just like how all of the side characters in Naruto got a lot of screen time during the chuunin exams.

Another thing is Izuku as a character, Izuku being quirkless is a major part of the story but it also happens to be similar with Lee.

Lee didn’t have his own ninjutsu or any form of ninja technique despite wanting to become a ninja so badly. He trained really hard and he cried a lot, he was also looked down on a lot (mostly by Neji who was his main rival) because he didn’t have a ninjustu. Then all of that changed when he met Guy. Guy took Lee under his wing and made him excel in taijutsu giving Lee his own form of ninjutsu.

Guy is also kinda similar to All Might personality wise... and maybe his name is too

Might Guy... All Might...hmm

OFA also reminds me of eight gates in a way, because they’re both pure, brute strength.

There’s also Bakugou, and I’ve always felt that Hiorikoshi based his appearance and a little but of his personality off of Naruto himself. Yes, Bakugou actually does not look like Naruto at all, but if you give him a forehead protector and blue eyes, you’ll probably see a similarity, trust me I’ve done that before XD.

When naruto was little and he first got into the academy after he finally got his forehead protector, he literally declared that he would beat every one as soon as he got in and he said he’d be the best and become hokage and yadda yadda, (I cannot find a gif of that scene) and that’s basically how Bakugou started off

he was always saying that he was the best and he’s going to be number 1. technically he’s still like that, but it’s just not as bad as it used to be, plus Naruto doesn’t think of anyone to be lower than himself. Bakugou is kinda like a mixture 50% Vegeta and 10 % Naruto and 40% his own person.

Then there’s Shouto. We all know and I’m sure many people have said this before but Shouto is, or was the Sasuke of boku no hero. He changed and beacame all dark and gloomy after he experienced trauma that was triggered by a family member, the only difference is that none of his family members are dead and I am very glad about that because it shows how Horikoshi drifts bnha away from other shounen manga. As a kid, Sasuke was only focused on his goals and and he never really bothered to interact with other people unless they talked to him first, or if he needed to talk to them. although when it comes social skills Sasuke was a lot better because he actually did talk to Naruto on friendly terms and they had good times, while Shotuo was solely focused on his goals and he rarely ever spoke to the people on his class, heck I’m pretty sure the first time people really heard Shouto speak was when he declared war on Izuku.

And lastly, there’s the Training camp arc/ USJ arc. I don’t really know which one to compare to Naruto so I’m just gonna use both of them. The forest arc in Naruto (i can’t remember what is called) was supposed to be a completely harmless exam/ training session but it was ambushed by Orochimaru and his lackeys and it caused A LOT of damage to the teachers and especially the students.

It didn’t come off as much as a surprise as the USJ because some people were already aware of Orochimaru’s existence. These arcs aren’t totally similar but I feel like Horikoshi may have based the ambush off of the forest arc in Naruto.

Of course I could be completely wrong these are just my thoughts, and I figured why not just post it?

I AM NOT SAYING HORIKOSHI COPIED NARUTO IN ANYWAY, THE ESSENCE OF THIS POST IIS JUST TO POINT IUT SOME SIMILARITIES, YOU CAN LIKE IT, REBLOG IT, REPLY TO IT, OR JUST IGNORE IT.

ALSO, I FIGURED OUT THAT IT IS ACTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO WATCH BNHA WITHOUT HAVING A HUGE GRIN PLASTERED ON MY FACE.
