Sweet potato & chickpea savoury pancakes

Also known as "some shit i just made up cause i wanted to make falafels but the first recipe i found insisted i dont use canned chickpeas but thats all i had"

Both names are too long.

1 can of chickpeas

1 small sweet potato

Like 5 cloves of garlic. Maybe more

1-2 cups of flour? Idk i wasnt paying attention

Olive ouil

Salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, i think i put something else in but i dont remember. Oh yeah baking soda?

Cause of the whole ass can of chickpeas (large) this makes quite a lot so get ready to flipp

Drain most of the can goop and then blend chickpeas with little bit of water. Add more water if its not blending well

I also blended in some olive oil and salt here but that can probably wait till later lol

Get your sweet potato and wash it then stab it with whatever.

Microwave it until soft, took mine about 3 minutes, turning it every once and awhile (be careful will be hot)

Crush up your garlic with the side of your knife or a big rock you painted on when you were 12 that your mother keeps in the kitchen for some reason, while you wait for your potato.

Run some cool water and skin the mushy sweet potato with your bare hands like a beast (you probably shouldn't do anything i write this is dangerous you could burn yourself)

Moving the chickpea mush to a large bowl, blend the sweet potato and your garlic with some water.

Put that shit in the same bowl and mix with the spices, baking sota, and enough flour to get it to look like this

Not quite a dough but not NOT a dough.

Really sticky and not rollable.

Let sit in fridge for an hour maybe? Thats what the falafel recipe said but mine only sat for like 45 minutes cause i got impatient

In a non stick pan (i think i dont actually know where this pan came from) put enough oil in. Ideally i think that it would be enough to cover the entire thing but i didnt wanna waste that much oil and it absorbs quickly so idk.

I have a glass-top stove and those cycle how hot they get so i kept a close eye on it and flipped between medium to medium-low whenever i felt it was getting too hot

I used a 1/4 cup to scoop it, but i only used like a third of it. 1/4 a cup is way too much. Do a single test one to make sure its at a good temp

Each side takes like 30 sec to a minute idk i have adhd times not real. Should be a nice deep brown colour.

Theres raw flour in there so get a lid for your pan and keep it covered so the insides cook a bit. It will still be mushy inside.

Get a plate with some paper towel set up close by to put them on once theyre done.

My pan could handle frying 4 or 5 at a time, make sure youve got some extra room as theyre gonna be really tall and not very wide when you first dump em in and then youre gonna want to squish em once theyre fried on one side.

Ok you probably shouldnt follow this recipe i just thought id write it down for myself cause they turned out way better tasting than i thought they would. If you hurt yourslef its not my fault goodbye

alright, heres something in games that peeves me. maybe it isnt a new thing, but i feel like ive been seeing it more not deciding whether your game is a sequel or a brand new thing the hesitance towards making something entirely new or admitting something is a reimagining.

Well, I think tears of the kingdom is a prime example. what do even megafans of TOTK (me) admit that it has its faults? not acknowledging botw. yeah, malice is just gloom now. what shrines. etc.

...its a game that feels like it didn't really want to be a sequel. oxenfree also comes to mind, sort of. oxenfree 2 feels like its another take on stuff that happens in oxenfree, in the same world, but with different events and concepts that sort of mirror the precedents that were set... but also mix things up still! not to throw around the word shoehorned, but... there being only 1 decayed guardian in TOTK definitely feels like "hey, we're referencing the first draft of this game" and more of an easter egg than... well, it reminding you its a sequel. There are some special things that come from revisiting a world that you've been to before, like hateno village having a whole fashion war in TOTK...

but like, do you feel me when i say it feels like TOTK was "BOTW but if we leaned harder into the ancient zonai, and took it in a little bit of a different direction"

im not gonna say oh its literally just botw but again. because its... the merit of TOTK being a cool game comes from it being different in unique ways. so when it DOES try to remember the game that its a direct sequel to, it only really feels kind of vague and slapped on. what im saying is i think we need more deltarunes. yes these are the same characters, some are still important and some arent the focus anymore, yes determination exists, but its for different stuff now oxenfree 2 felt like it was... mmm, im too tired to write about how it evokes a similar feeling, but i think it does

like, TOTK had an astonishing amount of work put into it. its not just a copy paste with different mechanics. but fundamentally the foundation of the game is the same, and... well, it just seems like they didnt really exactly care to CONTINUE BOTW, moreso that they wanted to REVISE BOTW

i was gonna fit in stuff about A) new content taking priority over old content, sweeping old stuff under the rug (minecraft spawner rooms, tbh) B) new content being really high quality in updated games (stardew valley ginger island, maaybe ror2 dlc to some degree, though it more feels like a diff, equally quality vibe)

like yeah minecraft updates fit into here somewhere, and especially terraria updates and how they're great but honestly these amount of cool ideas could be put into a new game or something... even if that requires making a new foundation... im... sort of tired as i write this, i WILL have a followup post eventually on this, because it feels like there are dots ive found , even if i havent Quite connected them.

She’s tidy, Cirrus notes, opting for one of the more formal uniforms they’re allowed to wear around the abbey, the all-black pants, tunic, and belt combo usually saved for midnight mass or other gatherings of the like. It’s closest to the older band uniforms, Cirrus realizes, the one Mist used to wear. It makes her look smart—handsome, for some reason, she thinks. The thought has the corner of the book slipping out of her fingers, thumping down onto the bookshelf louder than she would have liked.

Her voice is like caramel with its low, sweet timbre. It’s not at all what Cirrus was expecting, let alone the actual words she’s saying. It catches her off guard.

Mist steps closer to her, close enough she can smell her—sea kelp and fresh snow. It’s an odd mix, but not an unpleasant one.

What inspired you to create your oc?

Welp Mark is my first OC everrr :D my boyfriend and i decided we needed a new hobby so he introduced me to VtM :D so i had to Make a Guy. so I looked through all the clans and i was like heheh Tremere Fun i like Magic and smart ppl and blood sorcery seems cool. then i was like well i dont wanna get too crazy w it cause at the time i didnt really know how to make an OC. so i made a guy with a job profession adjacent to mine but not the same cause my bf said making self inserts was a bad idea. but i also wanted to play someone i was somewhat comfortable w.

So w the profession decided as professor i decided to lean into being a more classic professor. Then I just let the skill dots decide some other things like that hes good at driving so.. yeah he was a struggle to make ig! but worked out well now. he was not that interesting at first. the st helped a lot :D

8. Does your oc have any notable flaws or activities they're not good at? Why did you give them those flaws? Why do they exist in-universe?

Hmm good question i should give him some more problems lkdafds.

I mean he has very basic/shit/no taste in movies, that is there because its funny. and also because the ST was like "I feel like mark and sampson would have watched marvel movies had they been in our time" and i just HAD to agree.

but as for skills he is very much a specialist so its not that he's really bad at a few things, its that he's only good at a few things.

he has the flaw of gullible because i am gullible :( i have mentioned this before but i am SOOO salty about it.

He's super unathletic because he's never worked out a day in his life and now that he is in his unlife he has no reason to LOL

maka the babygurl I really love her, i think shes a great character and i really relate to her, as you have probably deduced i am very hard on myself and Maka suffers from the same problem, she expects everything from herself but very little from others be it her father because hes proven he has little to offer or her friends because she doesnt want to burden them. Shes really the only person who has complete unconditional love for crona, she can see the real villain and thats Cronas mother, she sees right through her and knows with all her heart crona can be and is worth saving. which is a duality for me because my mate @limirror has like most of us been told theyre "too much" and weren't treated well by "friends" but the moment we met i cared about them deeply i could see that they were hurt and misunderstood and i wanted to earn their trust and be their friend. little did i know we would fall in love though u//u blush heh anyway! those are just a few lil reasons i kin her

My fav songs off the album are definitely the bonus 3am songs, I feel like they are so so much better and different than the original 13? The only ones that stand out to me of the 13 are karma and bejeweled, maybe sweet nothing too. The 13 song album kind of fells like red+1989 to me? It feels like an old sound. like it's promo for 1989 taylors version in a way. the 7 3am songs are so, different and i much prefer them.. What are your favorites what do you think/feel abt the album?

i've seen a lot of people say they prefer the 3am songs which is interesting. i think they definitely go more in depth and have a more familiar type of writing for taylor, in terms of it being closes to folklore and evermore writing that people loved. I feel strange saying which one i prefer because they both offer two very different things. I think the standard version is easier and more fun to listen to, i can already assume i'll listen to it the most out of the two, but the 3am version is more to digest and has more interesting things happening. preference will all depend on my mood at the time i guess.

i do think having both options really shows how taylor can do the fun pop with catchy melodies and easy-listening and then also do experimental, less structured, story-driven songs. i am really curious on like... why she chose to do one and then the other. like she separated what she did on folklore, with the whole album being catchy pop melodies but interesting storytelling and instrumentals. it combined those two styles but this time she separated them into two different albums... i would love her for to explain why just out of curiosity.

standard:

i saw some people hating the production and i do not understand them tbh. i love this style i think it suits taylors vocals so well. i think her vocals are so good on this album and her falsetto on lavender haze and labyrinth is INSANE. but her lower register on maroon and anti-hero are amazing too.

people saying it's a blend of rep and lover confuse me tbh because those are like... my least favorite albums but i love this so idk what thats about. i dont hear rep or lover influence at all... both had very rough, clunky production and this has softer smoother production and the lyrics are wayyyy more mature...

one thing no one can discount is her ability to write interesting melodies and hooks and this side of the album proves that, every single song has a melody i love on it.

lavender haze: obsessed with the production and again her vocals are insane. the r&b vibe is everything to me. and the bridge is so cool i love how she delivers.

maroon: the CHORUS?? those lyrics are so good and the story is so cute, that chorus melody is one of her best of all time to me.

anti-hero: perfect single choice and the way she described it i didnt think it would be upbeat btu is slaps. the lyrics are so good and the bridge is really interesting to see people react to. fans who are used to getting the meaning of things fed to them like in some of her other songs are just like 'well thats weird!' but it's one of the saddest things shes ever admitted under the disguise of a catchy upbeat melody.

snow on the beach: lana haters we won. this song is sooo calm i love it. i dont love the 'weird but fucking beautiful' line that much... i feel like she couldve done a little better than that tbh lol. but it doesnt ruin the song for me. i lose my mind at the way she sings 'and it's coming down no sound it's all around' ugh its gorgeous.

you're on your own kid: i've watch two reaction videos so far and they both didnt like this song and want to jump through my screen and put them in a chokehold wtf. im obsessed with the warm, fuzzy guitar production and the chorus melody. amazing. how it just keeps growing in energy is amazing and the story is beautifully told. her highlighting always wanting to feel special and wanted and for people to like her is a constant in her life, and then turning that into needing to remember the good things and wanting to appreciate them. she nailed it. the bridge is just euphoric and deserves to be screamed live i need it.

midnight rain: this one had to grow on me a little but it's a vibe. the melody kinda carries it for me. the lyrics are good and the production being moody but having these moments of sparkling keys or sound being representative of how she was moody but he'd bring in happy moments is cute.

question...?: i think this might be my least favorite, it's still good but i have no idea what this girl is talking about to be honest. i feel like she should've expanded on it way more because it feels like i walked into a story when it was halfway done already, i need more context lol. but it's cute and the melodies make it fun vibe to. the bridge is the highlight, the melody is so fun and the thing jack does with dragging out the last parts of the line is so cool.

vigilante shit: if we ignore the first line it's great lol. i can see why people dont like it and i can see why people love it. i'm in the middle. if it went longer i probably wouldn't like it. i think it serves the story of the album more than just being an individual song. the bridge is my favorite part.

bejeweled: i dont think i liked this song when i first heard it, it was a little too cheesy for me but once i leaned into it i think it's fun and catchy.

labyrinth: everyone give it up for my boy labyrinth!!! this is amazing and her voice is so gorgeous. the production is amazing and that chorus is so comforting? obsessed with the way she sings the plane part. the outro is so pretty too.

karma: she's soooo fun!!! the people with a sense of humor really won with this one. 'karma is my boyfriend' is literally the best sentence. her being like 'me and karma are so tight doesnt that like... suck for you?' the biggest song on the album for sure. the party song.

sweet nothing: the cutest song. i think it's something the album really needed a moment of cute sincerity. the melody in every part is amazing and the fact she highlights that he always says she smart and has a beautiful mind made me want to rip my heart and use it as a tissue. that bridge??? the lyrics are amazing. those classic jack horns go beautifully as well.

mastermind: this one was another grower but i like it. i think its a perfect ending track. the second verse is my favorite lyrically. but also the bridge is heartbreaking and beautiful. the part when she says 'because i carreeee' and a bunch of harmonies come in is amazing.

3am version:

the great war: i think this one is my least favorite simply because it gets a little repetitive. and it's very long for a song that doesn't really change that much from the beginning. and it's a topic we'd heard from her... relating her life to a battlefield. i do like the line 'diesel was desire you were playing with fire'. she's a fun song but i dont think i'd play it intentionally, if it comes on shuffle i'll listen.

bigger than the whole sky: this one is good but it suffers form the same thing as great war, it's too long and doesnt really go anywhere. i think the production is gorgeous and the lyrics are beautiful so that helps a lot.

paris: she's cute and she's fun and the idea is so cute. the first verse is so funny i love it.

high infidelity: calcium harvest come get you juice. i love the way she sings 'do you really wanna know where i was april 29th' and that whole part. that whole refrain is amazing and probably my favorite part of the song.

glitch: i LOVE this one. it's so experimental and weird. i love that guitar and the way she sings and drags out the end of certain lines. the melody of the chorus is everything.

would've could've should've: this is the other favorite of mine. im so glad she finally told him to fuck off again he needed a reminder, he was getting too comfortable. obsess with the production on this one and how dark and threatening it is. within 5 seconds you know shes about to kill someone. this is also one that goes really long but she has a lot to say and she should say it!!! the best part of the song is basically the bridge and every part after that. GIVE ME BACK MY GIRLHOOD!!! IT WAS MINE FIRST!!! best lyric on the entire album.

dear reader: a cute ending as well and the production is amazing, very similar to labyrinth. i've seen a lot of people think this is taylor giving the audience lessons she's learned overtime... and that's scary because she's telling people what not to do lol. she herself reveals she's an unreliable narrator by saying 'never take advice from someone who's falling apart' and she is very obviously that in this song. so... no one listen to the advice. it's really clever though and an interesting subject for a song. i don't think she's ever done that so it's cool.

ok hold on now that im thinking about it im gonna ramble some more about theater related things

disclaimer disclaimer despite feeling a bit awkward at times and nervous because everyone else has already been in other shows together and is friends with each other vs me not really knowing anyone everyone still has been nice and the director and stage manager are sweethearts and the lead actor is very cool and talented and its been a better experience than my last show and i certainly dont have any issues where people are being nasty to me like i did with my last production but ok the thing im thinking about is ok. im going to the opening night of this other play tonight right. because this is another play our theater company is putting on right. the way this theater works is that generally two plays are like kind of around the same time where one is being performed and the other one is still in the early to mid rehersal stages but its all the same theater company right and some of my castmates are in this show and we all get in free since we are actors and part of the company right and its good to support your castmates with their hard work on their other production its a lot of work to be doing two plays at once

and anyway there was this time where. ok one thing about me is i blend into the background when im offstage and it is very common for me to overhear things people dont necessarily mean for me to hear or want me to hear for better or for worse. so there was a time recently where i was offstage waiting for my time to go in and these two people start talking about this other play theyre in. and they just start absolutely trashing a girl whos in it with them who i realize is another castmate in the production im in and she just wasnt needed at rehersal that day so she wasnt there to hear them but the way they were talking about her was just so cruel and i moved away at one point because it just felt really gross and i had half a mind to speak up and say something but it was like at the time i didnt know who they were talking about so its not like i could be like hey dont talk badly about her or thinking its none of my business.

but it still bothers me specifically because these people were being so elitist and putting this girl down saying "oh shes trying so hard but shes just not good. she just isnt good!" and i think the director of that play is also kind of weird or making weird decisions but thats not the actors fault if the director is demanding they perform in a weird way. and it really just boiled down to these two people (who btw are twice the age of me and the other girl) were just like... asserting that theyre sooooo good and that theyre so skilled and know the play better and that if it were them theyd do it this way etc etc while just being so nasty and cruel to this poor girl who they admitted is very obviously trying her best and putting a lot of effort. frankly i am more impressed by and rooting for someone who may not have as much experience or skill but is putting a lot of effort and heart into their performance over someone whos got a lot of experience yes but is going to just treat their cast mates like shit like this lmao. i lost my train of thought but oh no wait there it is

its like a pet peeve of mine when people in theater think they know your role better than you do or know better than the director does and tries to like upstage you or says well i could do that role better or i wouldve done it this way. like ok but you arent doing the role. you arent the director. a theatrical production is supposed to be a group effort were all supposed to be working TOGETHER to tell a story and create an experience and get across a specific message and atmosphere to the audience and i hate how often people seem to forget that and want to be like WELL I COULD DO THAT BETTER and to be clear you may be thinking but kes you have said you could out act certain hollywood actors and thats diffwrent because im not a fucking cast mate of those rich and famous actors who barely are able to have a good meaningful deep performance because they got their roles through money and connections and being conventionally attracvtive. its different yknow.

and in the end it makes me sad. it just makes me sad to know that the issues that i have with the usa acting and theater industry are still within a smaller scale community theater. i genuinely think community art spaces are so incredibly important i wouldnt be alive if it hadnt been for community theater and its a disservice to be letting people be so fucking snobbish and elitist and cruel like yes i take our community theater productions seriously and we all put a lot of effort andnheart into it ajd ive seen some really moving and impactful amazing performances done by small community theater groups but also this is not fucking broadway you do not have to be so back stabbing and cruel and you dont have to act like you have some kind of heirarchy ladder to climb, both of these things can be true

also as a note for example like. i dont really agree with some of the acting choices the person im understudying for is making. but thats really just because we are very different people and every performer is going to do things differently! i dont think theyre a bad actor in any way and i can clearly see theyre putting a lot of thought and effort into their performance. and in the end even if i dont agree with how theyre doing it thats not my decision, its the directors decision for how she wants the character to come across so that the story can be cohesive. plus our director knows more about this play than any of us she literally did her thesis on it. but anyway what im saying is that you can not agree with your castmates acting choice while not being a fucking asshole about it

this week i had another breakdown

maybe I am indeed in my breaking point

I had 3 tests (4 even) running simultaneously this week. and it was extremely difficult as they consumed me one by one. The first one, JG, the HR complimented me, she had a delight talking to me, and I was honestly flattered. But unfortunately I took the test in the wrong time and was unable to finish, yet too exhausted to continue. I was truly worn out the next day that I didnt want to go to the office. and I cooled my head before replying to her email. unfortunately I was too late because seems like they changed their mind while waiting for my email reply. I was pretty thrilled of the idea using full on english, its going to be fun. But i was worried because the people seem to be the party ones and I feel like I wouldnt be able to blend into the environment. Not to mention that I was about to go solo with the project, It was challenging, but I was more fearful than excited. But I was extremely attracted to the full english environment. I hope I can find another company like that, very soon

And then AJB, I had fun working on the assesment. but the interview session was hell. all of the participant were rude as fuck and I was pissed. surprisingly I was able to keep my composure, probably I knew I didnt want to be with them. But still I am desperate to find a new workplace. After getting notification that they are rejecting me I was quite furious. Because they threw me off, disrespected me, yet they also were the one who rejected me. I couldn't describe my emotion. rather than relieved I was even more irked. even now i still feel a little bit emotional with how they treated me.

I think OKP really took a toll on me. I think I do have a serious problem with social anxiety. OKP was traumatizing to say the very least. even recalling all those past incidents is able to send shivers down my spine. I absolutely don't want to go through those experience any ever again. But I have a gut that I would. And I am not ready. Not now. Probably not forever... I just want to go to a good hands so that I can mend my wounded heart... I just want to have friends....

and about staying here, irene just shared me a story of someone being sent off because he had a clash with that designer. And I just had too. maybe he's looking down on me. Maybe he thinks I am a useless coworker thats going to leech off his works or something. I don't want to deny that I am useless. I really want to do well, better than him even so that no one could belittle me ever again. But now. I really want to get myself out of here.... I am worn out and... just emotionally drained

Abt the last post, mochi doesnt nessecarily think shes ugly, but she looks at other girls in media, in the school (especially the ones hanging off limes arms) and then looks at herself and has those typical teenage thoughts like "he has so many pretty girls to choose from, why would he like me?" she thinks her face isnt bad, but definitely not supermodel worthy

as a background, growing up (in elementary/middle school) she was into weird stuff like collecting roaches in jars and stuff, and even though she tried to be more “normal” to blend in in high school, she still kind of had a rep as a weird girl (again not like “ooo she reads” weird, but like....she grabs frogs with her bare hands and keeps them in a box and carries it around all day and no one knows what for kind of weird. no ones ever seen this but...thats the vibes). 

that, plus she always came off as what others describe as “plain” and “boring” - only ever studying and working in the cat cafe, never going out adventuring/partying/etc. so all these things considered, she has never been confessed to or even asked out on a date (except maybe only by those cruel high school assholes who ask someone out as a joke and then laugh about it later) - or at least not as often as the popular/pretty/exciting girls did. shes never been called cute/pretty/beautiful by anyone other than like. her mom and limes grandparents (which as anyone knows doesnt really count), which obviously isnt DEFINITIVE of beauty but makes her think that she must not be that pretty, if no one is interested in her

(given this is because while a lot of people think she has a cute face, the “weirdness” or “boringness” is enough to make them disinterested, and those who COULD be interested assume lime has dibs already so they dont even bother. and of course you have those weird dudes saying some sexual suggestive flirts to her, but she never counted those since its fucking weird and also lime probably pummeled the hell out of them right after if mochi didnt do it herself)

on limes side, thinks shes very cute, and very beautiful, and very cool and very everything. but hes never told her or even HINTED at it without backtracking or making some excuse bc he doesnt want things to get weird between them. so he kind of just appreciated her like a porcelain doll behind a glass case. mustn't touch otherwise it might break everything. best to keep her as his best friend, at least for now.

but this is all pre-witch things, ofc as she becomes a witch this all kind of fades because. ya know. bigger things to deal with and all. she shoves these thoughts away because learning magic is more important, she doesnt have time to put herself down or compare herself to other girls (but she does have those thoughts sometimes still, especially on days where she has to pretend to be normal and just fades into the background again)

i think?? coco?? is the first one outside mochis immediately family/circle that told her “wtf? wdym you never had a boyfriend?? you know youre pretty as hell, right? youre hot asf??” in response to when she heard mochi saying something about how she thinks she isnt pretty. its those small things but it gives mochi a little confidence boost in herself!!

and also over time lime flirts with her more and more and is soft with her and looks at her like shes his whole world because she almost is, and maybe even tells her he thinks shes cute subtly, and it makes her feel pretty 😳 over time she gains more confidence and stops caring about that stuff as much cuz shes comfortable with herself now!!! and also shes the cat witch so fuck everyone else!!!!

(i should be noted that as we all know mochi is cute and pretty as FUCK she just doesnt know/realize -w-)

this is gonna be a part 1 to a longer post - but like a lot of the minecraft community (at least the vocal Gamers on the Internet) are... very. extrinsically motivated. and they demand a lot from the game. I think they remember when they were young and felt the game had so much to do, when they were making the experiences themselves with their own creativity and now they expect everything to have a deep meaningful use. Frankly, I don't think things in minecraft need to be useful - I think most of the people on here can likely resonate with that. A mob simply being cute and not having practical use cases is nice. a new material thats mainly for decoration is nice See, I think. Mojang trying to pander to extrinsically motivated players who need a clear use... just leads to kinda awkward like. people get the wrong message. they get the message that mojang wants to make something with lots of uses and are failing at making it useful, when mojang just wants to add something thats... well, fun! and gives it a practical use where it makes sense (yes, copper is a great example) Of course, things can be given use over time, but I don't think pressure should be put on everything to be useful. I voted glow squid because generally speaking, stuff from votes doesn't go all that deep, its something that improves the world in a simple way by existing. are foxes useful? Nah, not really. So I thought... well, glow squids seem very fun to see, bioluminescence is cool. Didn't really care if they didnt have a use, in fact that made them better to me - a blank canvas where you can do anything with them Frankly though? I wish they didnt do ANYTHING with them. glowing signs... cmon, that couldve been done with glowstone dust. Same goes for shoehorned "uses" for the phantom. phantom membranes... well, I guess they're probably what let the phantom fly around... so i GUESS it makes sense to repair... the pair of bug wings from a dimension you dont find them in slow falling couldve just been from brewing feathers :/ but yknow, people dont like "useless" stuff being in the game (because they think mojang is lazy and bad game designers) people dont really get what the goal of minecraft is. anyways, on that note. allays are not better than other collection methods lmao but THEY ARE CUTE. I really wanted to just get this off my chest - I have more to say. but tl;dr is if we use the puddles/oceans method in terms of depth. people dont like seeing just. decorative little puddles? so mojang saysd okay this is a pond. but its a puddle. its totally fine that its a puddle, but they pretend it isnt just .... for what? to appease people who want everything to be useful? people say they miss old mc updates, and yknow what? yknow what i miss from them? when things weren't deeply designed, lol 1.20 is a great update so far, good blend of carefully designing stuff and also just. throwing random stuff in because why not.

I'm gonna sound possibly mean? lol but something I dont get with people who learn art purely online and in very limited styles now a days is that there is such a complete lack of common sense or like idk artistic instinct??? I'm mostly self taught, both traditionally AND digitally and when I wanted to draw something I would seek out things I felt would help me. And no, I dont mean looking online because, frankly, my family could not afford at home internet services for a very long time up until I started college. What I mean by that, is that as soon as a started getting serious about drawing better I just kept practicing, using as many drawing mediums I could afford from fucking walmart like willow charcoal, charcoal, graphite, kneaded erasures, blending nibs, etc to figure them out, AND USED REFERENCES LIKE CRAZY (which is batshit to me that so many kids dont do cause they think its "cheating"...ITS NOT! I prommy!!!).

I kept asking my mom (a general audience perspective) and my uncle (a trained artistic perspective) on what I could do better (a lot of younger creatives I talk to have a really hard time with critique as well, you gotta learn to open yourself up to that). And more importantly, I would sit down and look at my art. I mean really and literally look at it from different perspectives. It would help best to look at my art from far away OR especially to take a picture of it to be able to break out of that hyperfocus you get when you're working on something. This would help me notice things I didnt like about it or what felt weak about it and figure out what needed fixing from the perspective of someone who didn't have all the tools and terminology to do it. I STILL have things my art is lacking but I make these very conscious observations and try to work on fixing them (for example, now that I'm more comfortable with color, I'm steadily teaching myself more about using color value with lighting etc).

I guess instead of like calling it a lack of artistic instinct I should call it a fear of exploring outside of what's comfortable. Digital art is a really cool medium with endless possibilities but I think a lot of people, especially younger ones, get trapped in comfort zones because of how like more accessible things are. But like I think it's really important to push yourself because otherwise you just get stuck doing the same shit over and over and, I think worse, saying the same thing over and over without elaboration. Art should feel like an extension of you and your voice, and if you've learned a limited, let say, "vocabulary" of sorts with it, how will you ever learn to fully express yourself? It feels good when you reach a point when other people finally understand you when your words link with what deep in your heart right? That's what exploring with art feels like to me!

I dont wanna be like "You kids should try some traditional shit!" But honestly it wont hurt to challenge yourself a lil bit every now and then cause you will benefit from it. Something as easy as like taking a lil break from digital between pieces and just doodle shit by hand. Just think of it as a fun lil exercise you can do to strengthen not just your artistic muscles, but your artistic instincts and introspection.

Things I’d love to see in BOTW2:

We need an instrument back! I miss how much of an integral part music playing and instruments played in Zelda games. I’d love to see either Link or Zelda play one in the sequel

We need dungeons back! I know this is an obvious one but I had to include it. I think Twilight Princess had some of the best dungeon themeing that blended seamlessly in the world, so Id love to see that in the sequel.

I’d love to have a new companion in this game. I know it didnt make sense to have one in BOTW because it would ruin the immersion of being alone, but they could work it in the sequel. The companion needs to be their own character, have a character arc, and a strong chemistry with the protaginst. Basically, I want another Midna

I would love to see the ruins of former towns rebuilt or get rebuilt throughout the game the further you progress. How cool would it be to have Lon Lon ranch rebuilt and for it be a hub for people from all regions to hold festivities. In the same way we helped build Tarrey Town, we could help the ruins with bringing materials and people to watch it grow.

I would practically cry if we get a version of the milk bar in botw. I know we had the alcohol place in Gerudo town, but its not the same. I’d love it if there were musicians in the bar who could play music for you like in a Link Between Worlds or if we had a sidequest like in Majoras Mask where we could bring a band together for a lovely performance. Either way, the ambience and mood of the Majoras Mask Milk bar cant be topped but I would still love to see it implemented in BOTW2.

ITEMS!! As much as I loved the runes, I miss using these wacky items to get through puzzles. A Link Between Worlds solved the linear problem of dungeon transversing with Ravio’s shop system and Id be happy if they revisited the concept for the sequel!

We need to have underwater exploration or cave exploration like in the older games. So many opportunities to place hidden caves within the many mountains of BOTW. Finding the Leviathan bones in Hebra was so mesmerizing, I wish they implemented more caverns to explore.

I would be excited to see if Ganondorf has a new subordinate in this game ala Zant or Giraham. Unfortunately, I was very dissapointed with how AOC handled Astor’s character. He wasnt nearly as captivating or fanatical as Ghiraham and we knew next to nothing about him. If we do get a new subordinate, I would hope for some proper characterization and a sickass theme like Ghiraham’s. No seriously, his theme is amazing.

Finally, Id love to see Zelda playable and a game that tells her story fully, after all this is her legend. Age of Calamity sort gave that to us and now I NEED to see it in a Zelda game be it the BOTW sequel or a new game on its own. You can tell that the developers put a lot of love and care into this incarnation of Zelda so fingers crossed!

Well, thats it for my list, for now at least. I’d love to know what you guys would like to see in the sequel!

“I thought I told you not to go near her.” Winter sighed and sat down. “You… didnt tell her anything, did you?” 

Penny shook her head. “No, I didnt.” 

Winter nodded, her eyes flashing between a pale blue and red. “She cant… know what happened to me… I need… I need you to promise to protect her no matter what, okay?” 

Penny put a hand on Winter’s shoulder. “I will.” 

After a few moments, Winter’s eyes stopped flashing as she started to fight back against the virus inside of her. It had been a couple weeks since it was implanted into her, two weeks of fighting off the very thing that kept trying to kill her. 

Penny hugged Winter. “You’ll be okay, right?” 

“I… I will. Your father is still finding a way to remove it from me, but I’ll be fine. I just… have to keep myself in isolation for a while longer.” 

“I’ll come visit you when I can.” 

Winter shook her head, one eye going red again. “No, I need… I need you to stay by Weiss’s side. When I’m fixed, I’ll find you again.” 

Penny sighed, but nodded, slowly walking out of the room that Winter had put herself into. “Dont worry, I’ll keep her safe for you.”

Ruby gave Weiss a smile. “I promise, we’re your teammates. We’ll be by your side the whole way.” 

Weiss relaxed a bit, finally pulling off her gloves. She raised a jointed hand, still nervous about all of this. “I’m… a synthetic person.” 

Blake, Yang, and Ruby all stared at her, trying to take it all in. When Weiss had told them that she had a secret to share, they all expected her to come out as a faunus hiding her trait, or something about her lineage. But an android was the last thing they expected. 

Ruby rushed over to Weiss, quickly moving her arm and looking over the jointed fingers. “This is so cool!”

Blake sighed and walked over to Ruby to pull her off. “Give Weiss a bit of room. She’s still a person.” 

“I know, but androids were always something that were used for weapons. But Weiss… she’s different. She’s not just a weapon, but a person too. Its amazing!” 

Yang shook her head, the shock finally starting to wear off a bit. “I’m… sorry about Ruby.” 

Weiss slowly put her gloves back on, letting her eyes dim a bit. “I… sorta expected this would happen. But… you dont think this is… weird?” 

Blake shrugged. “We live in a world where we use rocks that we dont know the origins of as a power source and fuel for weapons, everyone has their own superpower, and our souls shield us from harm. Does being an android really qualify as weird anymore?” 

“When you put it that way…” 

Ruby finally pulled away from Blake, sitting down and watching Weiss. “So… why hide it? I mean, if I was an android, I would want everyone to know.” 

“Because… what I am… shouldnt exist.” Weiss sat down and picked up a picture of her family. “My mother… couldnt have kids. So… she commissioned someone to build one. Then one turned into two and two into three. We were… experimental prototypes. Atlas had commissioned a pair of scientists to create androids that were indistinguishable from humans. Instead, we were created as children for a mother. To test how well we could blend in with humans. And eventually, faunus.” 

Blake blinked as she watched a pair of cat ears pop up on Weiss’s head. “So.. you were supposed to be used as… surveillance?” 

Weiss shrugged. “I’m not sure. What I do know is that my mother funded for me and my siblings to be built as long as she could raise us like her own children. However… she had to agree that no one else could know about what we were. So… I was asked to keep things hidden. And it was easy, at first.” 

Yang smiled a bit. “But then you had to share a living space with us.” 

“Exactly.” Weiss sat the picture down. “It was easy enough to explain my sleeping habits. Claim I had insomnia and run with it from there. But then came staying up all night reading without a light, being able to memorize anything I looked at for classes..” she glanced over to Ruby. “When you walked in on me while I was attempting a bit of maintenance.” 

Ruby rubbed the back of her head nervously. “I said I was sorry…” 

“I know. But… I should’ve just let you all know from the beginning.” 

“Well, you can trust us that we wont let anyone else know.” Blake smiled a bit. “And if you need help with fitting in, we’ll be there for you.” 

Weiss nodded, then paused for a moment. “A-actually, I do have one question.”

well 👁👄👁 there r quite few,,, and the main reason is colouring most of these r comps and i a b s o l u t e l y sucked at comps and esp at making the colouring consistent there lol so lets begin lol  1 (u have no idea how muchi love this set) 2 (i fucking mastered it i wanted to remake it for two years and i finally did!! 60 fps smooth good moments iconic performance iconic hair colour his attitude bruh and ofc the fact that i could do sth with colouring,,,,,, and chose such an unusual colour scheme that i doubted jckdckfdk and it still worked out 🥺) 3 (lol i had this idea written down since 2018 as well and this year i could finally collect all moments i needed and oh boi yeah,,, AND COLOURING I COULD ALMOST yeah almost do sth decent with it there r still couple moments id changed but im pleased) 4 (im so happy whenevr i see this CUZ IT ALL WORKED OUT it was such an impulsive comp i literally only saw couple moments for past few years as well where i could see three of them in one frame and suddenly I WAS LIKE I FUCKING MUST POST THOSE MOMENTS SOMEHOW and im so proud of colouring it looks so well T_T) 5 (the colouring ofc im still :o that i could get rid of that shitty shit dkksjkj AND THE MOMENTS ITSELF?????? ohhhhhhhh i think this one cuz the moments were long i couldnt decide what do i want to include + it ts file so u kno,,, the speed,,, of processing,, + somehow decided to put them all together + fucked with colouring + had to get rid of the logo and as we know japan likes a lot of big braight text around haha and draw hair in moments where logo made it look blurry + had to adjust the order and all that stuff but getting rid of logo was the longest part

whew this iconic one im still amazed tbh they looked soso incredible and im glad how everything turned out here <3 (could change some colouring on bg tho so it could look better and more hq :c)
