i've seen so many rayman edits to this song, it now has him written alll over it. fuuuuuuckkkkkkk. do i write smut? (probably). just take this for now.

| tw:: foul language, raymesis/j, my own hcs, self indulgence, (heavy?)angst, they're all struggling, this is not proof read.

[ a/n:: we need more rayman. i'm still new to writing fanfics(aside my horrid watpad {i forgot how to spell it} phase.) forgive my errors and i hopefully plan to write more of him. he haunts my nightmares(lovingly). i'm ill rn, and wrote most of this in a sleep deprived craze for more rayman. first time writing these characters-- forgive me. ]

(soh/game)rayman.

i feel like he'd be the type to randomly pinch you especially when he feels like he's being ignored, or when you're 'busy'.

he always does it when you least expect it. sitting on the couch, scrolling on your phone/reading a book? pinch. getting something to drink? pinch. stargazing? pinch.

loves the little reactions he gets from you. giggles over it. i bet he kicks his feet too.

definitely the type to swipe food from your plate when you're not looking, then gaslight you about it.

you're missing a potato wedge? nuh-uh. you're crazy. how dare you assume that your handsome, loving, amazing boyfriend would ever steal from you. the betrayal...(he did it.)

i like to think he enjoys hand kisses. random thought, but i dunno. i think he'd like to kiss your palms as a source of reassurance, and of course receiving the same affection back would probably give him a heart attack. in a good way of course.

or when you're a bit stressed in public and hold onto the back of his hoodie. like slightly holding onto the fabric where it's almost unnoticeable. probably the cutest thing you could ever do in his eyes. (that or giving him a lil kiss.)

silly things aside, he stuggles a lot. his failures that haunt him day in and out, he's scared to know how long it takes before he fails you too.

simple mistakes can lead to him getting stressed or overwhelmed as he doesn't leave any room for his 'failures', even with something so simple as accidentally knocking something over, breaking stuff, etc... he truly believes that you are one mistake away from leaving him.

he tries to be forgiving of all things with consideration of course, but often times it backfires. he has a naïve view that everyone can, and will change. he wants to believe that they will change for the better, even if the person chooses not to change, or to change for the worse. he blames himself when things go south because of that, he wants to give someone a second chance, but sometimes do they really deserve it? he tells himself he should know better by now, and it was all nothing but wishful thinking. very forgiving for others, but the rules don't apply to himself.

be patient with him, and reassure him whenever you get the chance. he really needs it.

his sleep schedule is the most horrendous schedule you will have ever seen. it's teetering between a full on coma, or staying awake for days on end. he loves taking naps, but sometimes he just can't-- he has work to do. remind him breaks are necessary. force him to sleep when he needs it. for his naps(comas), i don't know. cry? if there's one thing that'll wake him up is the sound of you in distress.

rayman is a sucker for pet names. he will be a puddle of goo in you're hands.

you're in another room, and he's just lounging about. the next moment you're calling for him, needing his help with something? he's right there. like right behind you.

lives for simplicity. babe, baby, sweetheart, honey, hun/hon. consider whatever you need done. he's so whipped for you.

he's also pretty good with pda. again, the pinching. public, private, it doesn't matter. that cute little pout on you're face is something he'd kill for.

personally, i prefer the earlier games personality traits as opposed to (i believe)origins. i do enjoy the childish behavior, however i do believe his immaturity does have a limit. (living for soh!rayman.)

definitely the type to crack the funniest jokes at the worst times imaginable. it's his secret talent.

that, and hitting you with a one liner when you're both faced with a terrible situation. except that one liner is just so good-- you have to at least give him credit for that.

huge soft spot for sentimental gifts. always putting them somehwere safe, and when enough time passes, he likes to go over each and every one. reminiscing about all the little things.

raymesis.

[middle child energy.]

'a hot tempered psycho who's looking to destroy rayman's reputation'. not my words-- it's the wiki's.

with canonical anger issues under his belt(?), he's a bit more brash than the other two. when realizing he may like you, he may turn against you in almost violent ways. but, he hesistates everytime. always missing by a hair.

it takes him a while before he'd able to ever consider that maybe being vulnerable is okay-- just this once.

suprisingly a tad bit cautious of 'being nicer' to you, but he's trying his best.

raymesis is a thing-a-majig with a serious identity crisis.

i like to think that the some of the 4-5 vers. of the evil clones of rayman are just him having multiple 'phases'. it's fun to think of.

on a more serious note: he often feels like he's nothing but a lesser-- a shadow of the heroic rayman. maybe he looks up to him in a way, and finds jealousy in how he can just...keep going. how he's able to be so open, and forgive other so easily despite their past transgressions. he finds it unfair: why is it so difficult for him, but so easy for rayman. he's a clone of him, sure an evil clone, but a clone nonetheless. that's where the deep, dark spiral comes in.

linking to that he struggles to be nice, vulnerable, or open with you. he's supposed to be an evil clone of some heroic figure, and yet he's falling over himself because of you. in his own way, he gets extremely upset-- it pisses him off. he tries to be mean to you, but he can't bring himself to do so. he's supposed to be a 'bad person', but hurting you makes him seem like more of a monster than a villain.

this will all take time for him to process, the best thing you can do is be patient, listen to him rant, and just try and be there for him.

you have definitely mellowed him out, just a bit. he's still an asshole to rayman/j.

they're more like bickering siblings who never get along.

do not expect 'family(?)' dinners to go well.

i feel like mr.dark and the nymphs have serious beef with eachother. wwe smack downs every 'family(?)' dinner. always bet on the nymphs.

wouldn't it be cute for the nymphs to treat raymesis like their son too? just adopting him one day without him knowing? scolding him for lighting that one house down the street on fire?

raymesis doesn't like christmas trees.

there seems to be a reoccurring joke in the descriptions that claim raymesis is 'ugly' despite the fact he's a near clone of rayman. this always leaves him in a puddle of confusion with his confidence always shot. please tell him he's pretty once in a while-- he won't accept the compliment, but he'll think about it for days.

he's not used to praise, and can't take compliments. poor buddy.

he definitely bites. a lot.

of course he's a little more careful with you, he still bites now and again. i feel like he's an agressive lover. wanting to squeeze the life out of things he finds 'cute' without ever admitting it.

he has a purple tongue. that's kinda cool. i like to think he probably has a tongue piercing too? i feel like he's the type.

definitely plenty of pent up feelings that he has a hard time expressing.

but pda? oh yeah. lives for it. his hands always has to be on you in one way or another. get's all agitated, and sulks when you pull you're hand away from his to pick something up, or to rummage through your bag. how dare you-- you owe a huge apology.

pet names; babe/baby, sweetheart, creature, mine, stupid/idiot(lovingly). he's very silly with these.

he has a hard time believing you'd ever choose him compared to the hero, rayman. with time maybe he'll learn you love him, and choose him because he's your first choice.

(superiority complex.)

he may not be the best person, but he's at least willing to learn to be better in his own way.

can we all agree on the amount of trust issues this man has right about now? good.

after the betrayal with eden whether you've been in his life for years or not, he finds it hard to put everything out in front. it'll take him some time to rebuild trust after what eden did. and no, him needing to rebuild the trust has nothing to do with you! (i mean that in a good way.) you did nothing wrong(unless you did) in his eyes but, he used to believe eden was his everything. and with that, eden took everything. he worries that with time they'll take you too.

give him reassurance, quality time, the whole mile. remind him you're not going anywhere.

while cuddling in bed(couch, etc) probably the type to refuse to let you go to the bathroom because he doesn't want to let you go.

honestly, very romantic.

he loves fruit, and chocolate covered fruit too.

will buy you some, but steals a few pieces when you're not looking. he's sneaky like that.

also known that he likes sushi, but i feel like he probably has beef with the conveyer belt things. probably a bad experience, or he's mad at it for no reason.

i think he likes habatchi. it's very entertaining.

he's the type to tell the most outrageous stories out of the blue. he's the absolute king of 'i used to know a friend'.

probably kept up with everyone's drama as the news host. stays awake at night thinking about it sometimes.

y'know when someone tells you a joke and you don't get it at first? this is him figuring out what they meant at like 2:30 am.

another terrible sleep schedule. like absolutely horrendous.

he probably has nightmares about his time as a news host. thinking of the lies he used to spread. how much each one impacted someone elses life.

wakes up in a cold sweat. ends up focusing on you're calm breathing, and tries to match it. eventually falls asleep, not before firmly pulling you close to him. even when you wake up, you'll never escape his grasp.

on an alternative route, if you did wake up, he's extremely apologetic. tries to usher you back to sleep. now you're both awake munching on some food watching some shitty trash tv, criticizing why she choose james over percy.

he's not keen on pda. he worries for you're life. it's already a risk for you to be with him-- what if eden sees?

pet names too, but more casual with them behind closed doors. definitely married-couple-core. sweetheart, brat when he's being a pain, or play fighting. hon/hun, baby when he's literally attached to you're hip.

has frequent chronic migraine. enjoys just burying his face into you're stomache and just laying there while you're doing whatever your doing. like a cat.

enjoys the comfortable silence between you two, but small conversation is just as nice.

has guns. you broke a lamp. doesn't let you touch no more./j

he actually prefers you have a gun on your person at all times, even in the comfort of home. you'll never know what could happen when you can't protect yourself.

Jack was at home waiting for you since you had been out all day because he sent you to get your hair and nails done and just have a day to relax since it's been so hectic for you lately.

He heard the door open and took a deep breath, anticipating for you to come sit near him.

Once you stepped into the house, you promptly hung up your keys and went to find your husband to show off your hair and nails.

You heard the television on in the living room, so that's where you assumed he was.

“Hi, babe. Do you like my hair?” You asked while leaning down to kiss him which he didn't return and you were extremely confused.

You had gotten your natural hair pressed and curled and knew that was one of Jack’s favorite looks on you.

Once you had gotten upstairs, you slipped off the clothes you were wearing and put on your pink and black lingerie set, knowing that Jack was going to fold once he saw you in it.

You had a feeling that this was supposed to be some sort of prank and that PG was behind it and instantly wanted to put an end to it.

You laid down for about 45 minutes before going back downstairs and finding Jack in the same spot that you left him in.

He heard the clicking of your heels across the floor and once he looked up at you, he did a double take which made you smirk.

You promptly sat down on his lap and felt him tense up as he was trying to do his best to ignore you.

“Baby….” You said as you began to kiss down his neck and your hand immediately went to play in his beard once again.

Not getting a response out of him, you quickly decided to do something that would make him fold.

You slid off his lap and kneeled down in front of him as you undid his belt and proceeded to take off his pants as well as his boxer briefs.

He still hadn't said anything at this point as you took off your bra and slowly took him in your mouth.

Jack threw his head back in pleasure as he was doing everything in his power not to make a sound.

"Am I your lockscreen?"

content - modern au, fluff, jean calls reader pretty, jean gets embarrassed when you look at his phone words - 1k

"Do you seriously think you have better moves than me, Kirstein?"

Jean tilts his head, but keeps his eyes focused on the screen, not wanting to let your taunting get to him.

The two of you had been engaged in a close battle of video games all afternoon, currently playing a 3 round game of tennis on the Wii to decide which one of you gets to choose the place you'll order food from for dinner.

"Babe, just watch this serve and you'll be eating your words." He brings his arm back in preparation for his tennis serve. "Just like you'll be eating Chinese food for dinner!"

Jean ends his sentence with a whoop, clearly already planning his victory as he prepares to undergo what he assumes will be his final few swings.

The first swing is his serve, a nice and solid start in which he had you leaping to cover your end of the court.

"You know if I win this set I win the entire match, right? It's match point, baby."

You scoff, trying your best to ignore him.

His second swing has your heart beating frantically, and even though your eyes have been trained on his every move on screen, you still almost miss it—managing to save it by the skin of your teeth.

"I love you baby, but there ain't no way I'm letting you win right now."

And he's right. His third swing is his most forceful yet, and you're pretty sure he almost let go off the Wii remote—thank god you told him to use the remote straps.

You groan the second your Mii misses the tennis ball, but it's drowned out by Jean's incredibly loud, and giddy, cheering.

"Wooooooo! Aw yeah, ah ye— did you see that, babe?—ah yeah, I'm a genius, I literally nailed that!—that was amazing."

His cheering bleeds into something more along the lines of a song, and you can't help but laugh as you reach across the sofa to pick up Jean's phone, thinking that you may as well get the menu up and ready to browse while he finishes his gloating.

"Yeah yeah yeah, it's probably for the best anyway, you're such a sore loser—"

Jean turns to look at you—ready to take all your teasing about how much of a bad loser he is, and how you let him win this game to save your poor ears from having to hear all his whining—when his eyes widen.

“Am I your lockscreen?” You ask, stunned.

Jean grimaces.

Act dumb.

“What are you talking about? I… I don’t think I have a lockscreen at the moment.”

Not that dumb.

You smile, narrowing your eyes slightly in amusement as Jean’s mouth opens and closes.

"And you're sure about that, huh?"

"I think maybe Eren changed it the other day…"

You stare at him, watching the cogs turning in his head.

"I never change my lockscreen—I wouldn't even know how to—and if I did I'd only ever change it to something really good—not that you're not good—shit—I mean like, a good photo of the sky or a nice group shot or a pic of my dog—not that I think you're like my dog—you're really pretty—not that my dogs not pretty—it's a different type of pretty, you know? You wouldn't compare apples to oranges—no wait—that's not right…"

Jean looks to the ground as he trails off—not daring to meet your eyes. He could feel the tips of his ears burning. His face felt hot. His heart was racing wildly.

God. That was a mess.

“Jean?”

He continues avoiding your eyes, willing the ground to open up and swallow him right where he stood.

“Jean?” You ask again, “Is this photo from my instagra—”

“You weren’t supposed to see that.” Jean says quickly.

You look at him for a second—watching his chest rise and fall rapidly, and seeing how his hands are beginning to shake—and you take a step towards him.

“Jean, would you please look at me?”

He doesn't.

“Baby, I’m serious,” you try not to smile at his stubbornness, “it's very, super, extremely important that you look at me right now.”

You step in front of your boyfriend, placing your hands on his cheeks and angling his head so he is forced to look at you.

“I’m not mad, Jean. I’m not upset or confused or embarrassed, or whatever it is that you think I'm feeling right now.”

Jean furrows his eyebrows, but he doesn’t dare to interrupt.

“I love it. A lot. And I can't believe I didn’t know—wait, is this what Eren was teasing you about the other day?”

Jean nods, and you're unable to stop the smile that lights up your face.

“Oh my god… you’re the sweetest guy ever.”

You move your hands from his face, and instead settle your arms around his waist, pulling him ever so slightly closer to you.

“Why didn't you want me to know?”

“I don’t know… I think maybe I thought it was too soon…?” Jean says, his voice rising as he reaches the end of his sentence.

You shake your head.

“It’s not too soon, definitely not at all. I love it, okay?”

“Okay.” Jean smiles.

“Just promise me one thing—”

“Anything.”

“Next time you want a photo for your lockscreen, just ask me. I don’t want you to be forced to use the same photos that everybody gets to see. I want you to have something special.”

Jean feels his cheeks flare up with warmth at your words, but he nods his head.

Satisfied, you untangle your arms from around his waist and plop yourself down on the sofa, holding his phone out towards him.

Jean’s puzzled look causes you to let out a small giggle.

“Baby… You won, now come over here and order me some Chinese food.”

Jean grins, his cocky winner demeanour suddenly returning as he sits down next to you, flopping himself practically on top of you and slinking his arm around your shoulder.

“Give me that phone babe, it's time for the winner to choose the dinner.”

[part 1: "everyone finding out cove and MC got engaged because they're pregnant"]

his whole world stops. his ears feel like they've been stuffed with cotton and his world is spinning outta control.

now lets assume the rubber broke, just for, simplicity n lore sake.

it's not that he wasn't already worried about this happening, he had been worrying about this for weeks since you realized what happened.

but even then, he already had the fear of god in him about this happening. both because his mom and dad were on him about safe sex, but also because he has a lot of feelings about being an accident n child to teen parents... and he really didn't want to recreate that situation or put feelings like that onto another life, another human with complex emotions and many many thoughts. a human and life he's responsible for.

it shocks him so much, because he's very worried about repeating of his childhood on his child, and his kid feeling the same way he did/does.

he already knows that either way, the babe will probably have mixed feelings on being a accident, and essentially being a bump in road of his young parents lives

but it's also everything he had been worrying about, finally coming to fruition.

even though he's very, very stressed and scared for your futures, he's long since decided to make it work. he really wants to make it work. he wants to do the best by you, and the babe. and he wants to give his kid what he didn't have.

but anyway...

you're very worried about dropping the news on him

and i bought you aren't surprised at how pale cove gets when you drop the news...

and if he's not sitting down already, he is now. (he might just faint, like forreal this time too from the looks of it...)

he's very emotional, and super nervous, but what scares you is that he's very quiet...

when he does speak though, his first question is "what're.. what are you gonna do?"

because before he gets too emotional, he wants to know what you want first. you're carrying the baby and you're the one who'd go through all the changes, and you're the one who has the most intense feelings and being pregnant makes your emotions n hormones even crazier and more intensified.

all that plus how young you two are? and all the plans you two had? yeah, it's a lot, and regardless of how he feels, he wants to do whatever you want and he'd understand if you decide not to keep it.

but if you say right then and there, you wanna keep it, cove says he'll take care of you, and the babe, comforts you and hugs you. then he says wants to get married..

or if you say you dont know... cove says you two will work through these emotions, and that no matter what, he'll take care of you, and the baby if you want it.

when you do eventually say you want to keep it, even if you say this a couple minutes after, or a few days after, cove comforts you again and promises you'll work through this, and that it'll be okay.

then he brings up getting married...

of course it's more emotional, and maybe even a bit romantic!

so imagine this, you're sitting on your bed, and you and cove are hugging each other, you're wrapped up in his arms and it's a great comfort.

you're both really emotional, and calming down after crying and having a moment.

cove pulls away, takes your hands in his and even with glassy, red eyes he has a determined expression. goes on about how much he loves you, and how much he treasures you, and that he's going to do his best for you, and take care of everything.

his speech probably draws you back to tears, even brings him to tears but he keeps going because he needs to tell you all this!!

"y/n... i want to marry you, i want us to be a family.. i know i don't have a ring and this isn't very romantic but.. will you marry me?"

doesn't matter if you say yes right away or if you ask him if he's sure he wants to get married, he reassures you he's not just doing this because he thinks it is what you and/or your or his family would want.

he wants to marry you anyway, why wait?

now about telling your parents.

regardless of if you have cove there while you tell them, or you do it alone, lets say cove finds out what your mom said about him being a bad influence.

i also think your moms are a bit icy with cove too, so even if he has to force out all the details of your conversation, he already knows your moms aren't happy

but to know your mom thought, maybe even thinks so still especially with the news, that he was/is a bad influence on you.

it makes him sad. because what if she, or even both your parents, thinks that cove is dragging your life down with marriage and a baby?

well, like i said in the first post, this totally opens up a new can of insecurities and doubts, and he kinda spirals into his own mind.

he even starts thinking about what if you regret marrying him, and/or having his baby. what if you decide you hate being a parent, or being married, or being a family all together?

what if this holds you back so much that you start to resent him. god he's so afraid of you resenting him.

and your moms being short with him doesn't make him feel better because now he just had a thought, what if your family hates him so much that they start talking to you about how much of a mess this is, and then you realize how they're right, and decide to leave him, or even worse, leave him and the baby?

it's all very irrational thoughts, and when he wakes up (after maybe 3 hours sleep), he realizes it is a bit.. ridiculous. just a bit. he knows you wouldn't abandon him so easily, and you certainly wouldn't be swayed by your family

but he also wouldn't blame you if you had, or have (now or in the future), any resentments. he just really wants it to work.

i think this is also the time when he realizes exactly how much his parents divorce fucked him up.

he very determined for you two to make it work as a family. not co-parents.

he wants to see his kid every day, he wants to see you everyday, he wants to celebrate every milestone as a family and he definitely doesn't want to fight with you like his parents did. and even more so doesn't want to make your kid hear or see all of it.

he doesn't wanna fight, and then you or him walk out for hours or days. doesn't wanna sleep in separate rooms, doesn't wanna sleep by the crib to comfort himself with the presence of his darling baby, or because you two fought, like his dad used to.

doesn't wanna have to explain why mommy* and daddy are fighting, or why they don't sleep in the same room, or why they aren't talking to each other, or why they aren't living together anymore.

definitely doesn't want to explain what divorce is and what that means for them.

(*just saying mommy for simplicity sake)

but he also doesn't want to repeat what his dad did, and take on all the burden by himself.

it's hard to find a balance too, because he's torn between working his ass off to provide and prove that he can do it, that you aren't making a mistake... and accepting help, or letting himself relax sometimes.

but i think wanting to be there for you during the pregnancy, forces him to leave his days more open.

of course he still works more than usual, but he also makes sure to carve out time to see you, and be there to comfort you or bring you food, flowers, or go on a date.

remember i mentioned therapy in the last post?

please encourage him to start it. because this is a very big transition in your lives, and you both want the best for yourselves and the baby, so lets do the work before they get here, okay?

fighting with his dad

now he definitely appreciates his parents concern, and their support and words of wisdom, all that stuff...

but when his dad says something like "you don't want to end up like me and your mom." or "you shouldn't mess up your future." or even if he insistently tells cove, "think about your future! y/n's future!"

cove gets upset, just because does that mean his dad is projecting onto him, and telling him that they're fucking up just like he and mom did? or is he telling him that he's dragging your future and his into the mud?

either way, that's what makes him say something mean, just like i said in the last post:

cove would probably end up saying something (a bit) hurtful like "i would never end up like you and mom." , "i would never marry MC if i didn't know it'd work. unlike some people, i'm not gonna make my kid listen to us argue and then try to play happy family." , or "trust me, my kid won't end up with a childhood like mine." / "trust me, my marriage won't end up like yours."

he definitely hangs up the call or walks away from his dad immediately afterward, shaking with anger and anxiety. he's so stressed. and he's worked up.

after the argument, there's only 2 places cove could go at this moment. to you, or to work.

and if he's at work, he's distracted, but tries to focus on his job. he's still mad at his dad, and he already feels like crying. he really didn't need his dad to doubt him.

he gets it. he gets it, he really really does. but he feels so fragile, that he'd really appreciate a little faith.

now if he's with you, which he'd probably run to you after work anyway just so he doesn't have to face his dad yet. he's like a big baby

he's holding you, arms around your waist and his head on your stomach or lap, or you're laying on your side and he has his hand on your belly, as if he's waiting for the baby to reach for his hand through your tummy.

when he tells you what happened, and why he's so somber, please run your fingers through his hair and just listen to him for a bit... eventually he'll start rambling about all the things he's been holding onto, including his fears about you resenting him

it'll probably be a long talk, but once you reassure him that you wanna make it work too, and that you know cove will be a good dad (and vice versa), and that your moms don't hate him, they're just... upset. and worked up about the turn of events.

and you talk about his dad too, and the argument, you both realize it comes from a place of concern.

he doesn't wanna see you two try to be a family and fail. he doesn't want you to make mistakes he did while raising cove...

conclusion, it's a very fruitful conversation. and cove goes back home, teary eyed and a bit like a lost puppy, and that night he doesn't find his dad waiting for him (cliff tries to work as late as possible, both because he wanted to give cove some space, but also because he has a bad habit of avoiding situations... so when he does get home, he spends the night in his room)

of course they can't avoid each other forever, and the next day cove actually makes the effort to find his dad during his lunch break to apologize.

he said something really hurtful, that i don't think cove could live with if he didn't apologize.

his dad definitely laughs when cove mentions that you said that cove should try therapy, and even if you don't say that his dad should consider it too, cove does say to his dad that a family therapist sounds like a good idea.

You met Peter in your elective sociology course because out of some type of spite your professor told you to look to your right and you'd see your partner for the whole semester. Any discussion board completed had to have both of your names on it, any project you had both would turn in together. Meaning it felt like you spent every waking moment with this geeky asshole. The first thing he did after your first class together was ask you out.

The absolute audacity of this man because what the fuck? You had traded maybe a total of five sentences to one another the whole class. He was cute, you had to give him that..till he opened his mouth.

"Do you want to like go out with me sometime?" "Like to work on our discussion posts? Or the project one like what do you mean Parker?" "No, no." He laughed throwing his head back holding the door to the lecture hall open for you. "Like I take you to a movie, or a bar or something and we get to know each other. A date, you ever been on one?"

How dare he assume you'd never been on a date? You'd been on several dates since getting to ESU, did you look like someone who never went on dates? For that sole reason you turned down his offer, and you didn't feel like listening to him talk about his dumb frat and whatever stupid four year degree he was completing. (He was probably a business major or something.)

However he was a very good sport about it, shockingly, most frat boys would throw a tantrum like a three year old in the you section of a Walmart but Pete was chill. He nodded and said he understood and when, not if, when you changed your mind the offer would stand. What a cocky asshole.

A few weeks later in the semester is when you finally get to know Peter Parker and not Peter the frat boy. He showed up to the library (30 minutes late) soaking wet and shivering. "Where's your jacket?"

"Harry took it, they're doing rush stuff in the rain he needed it more than me." He says shaking his hair out of the ball cap he was wearing, and what was hidden under the hair shocked you.

Peter's dark brown hair that was there in class Monday morning was now a (unevenly) bleached blonde. "What the fuck did you do to your hair." "I didn't do fucking shit to it." He said a laugh in his chest. "Fell asleep in the den woke up being told to rinse my hair out. The older guys got to me for prank week or whatever." "That's fucked up." "Mhm I put itching powder in their after shave and shampoo after don't worry about me pretty girl. I get even." He smirks. "This is why I hate greek life." "Mhm pays for college what can I say. I wouldn't be here without it." You hadn't considered that as the reason Peter joined greek life. You knew they got benefits but, Peter just fit the stereotype to well. "Really?" You asked. "I'm a poor kid from Queens babe, I missed my SATS and ACTs more than three times. It's a wonder they even accepted me into the biophysics department. Then I wanted to double major with biochem and I basically had to get on my knees and beg the frat to let me in and pay for my degree." He laughed looking at you, playfully tapping your arm. "Didn't hurt that my uncle was an alumni, so I'm a legacy." You stared at him like he had three heads, he seemed so real in that moment. Suddenly he wasn't the asshole you met on your first day assuming you'd want to date him, or he wasn't the jackass you saw playing basketball in the front yard of greek row with girls drooling on him. He seemed like everyone else you knew.

You also stared at him because his hair was distracting. Slamming the book shut you put it into your bag, and stood up. "Come on, blondie." His head snapped up at you, eyes squinting a smirk on his face. "Is this you picking up that date offer." "No this is me fixing your hair because this is an eye sore and I feel truly bad for you." You laughed putting his hat on his head pulling it over his eyes. You stood in the middle of your dorm room that night, clipping a pink princess peach towel around Peter's neck as your re-bleached his hair, and he typed up the last few parts of your first project. Having him explain his bad chemistry jokes to you, which he sneakily replied:

"The one spark I know is positive is between us" You rolled your eyes calling him a cheeseball. It seemed that moment on wherever you were Peter went or vice versa. You found yourself in the bio lab with him a lot, working on discussion posts or doing notes while he worked. You two enjoyed each others company, with no labels. You had taken him up on the offer and didn't even notice until you were walking out of the bar a couple blocks from campus, having gotten drinks with him and his frat friends. Who knew you by name before you even walked in. Peter held your hand as he walked you back towards your dorm, a cigarette in his mouth. "You tell your friends about me Parker?" "Yeah I do. I'm slowly indoctrinating you into the greek life." You rolled your eyes in response, nudging him playfully. He laughed blowing smoke out of the side of his mouth, putting his cigarette out on the brick wall. "But no, I told some of them about you the day we first met." "Really?" "Mhm I thought you were fascinating, I couldn't get a word out to you, you were so smart and pretty. Only thing I knew to do was to ask you out and you said no and I had to tell them the moment I thought I feel in love." He jokes. You stopped in your tracked staring up at him. He invites you to video game sessions and movie nights, really just anything that could be used as an excuse to be close to you.

"What's so gay about wanting to do paintball with the boys?"

"And then going to dinner, y'know, as bros."

"Then falling asleep in each others arms. The socks are ON ITS NOT GAY"

Jeremy, after what feels like forever, accepts that no, wanting to kiss the new guy isn't completely straight

He'd insist you learn French from him- mainly so you know what sweet nothings he murmurs in your ear. He's a tough nut to crack, but maybe the reward is worth it.

You ask what's bothering him, and he's upfront. He's favoring you over his subordinates. You catch on to what he means.

You ask him out, not as private, but as a man. He praises your upfront pride and accepts. It's certainly a weird dynamic full of inexperience and America, but you wouldn't trade it for the world.

Sniper

Mundy would avoid your hot ass like the plague

unfortunately, you seem to be fucking everywhere, so Sniper has to put on his big boy pants and acknowledge your existence.

After that, Ludwig turns on the flirty doctor mode.

Those casual shoulder touches turn to moving you by your waist.

Ludwig would get all close and personal as he personally wipes the blood away.

Medic would be the one to confess first, but beg for it to be a secret relationship at first. He would eventually become more lax, but it's just for his comfort, y'know? Demoman

You know he's into you before he does. He told you when he was shitfaced multiple times.

Tavish is straight in the same way spaghetti is. Totally upright until you get it wet, be it in water or booze.

Tavish would force himself to ask you out to drinks romantically while sober. You decline and one-up him to dinner. He one-ups you to a movie and dinner. This continues for a while.

Tavish would try his best to be a good boyfriend. He really would. He's new to relationships in general, so you and him have a lot of work to do! Like a puppy, it is beautiful and adorable, but there will need to be some rules in place.

You two are automatic besties now, whether you like it or not.

They're such a care bear about you. They grab things off high shelves for you, share meals, and even give you drawings!

Not at all interesting or cute! But I deal with it for the good of the team, the only thing more annoying then vans movie references is the constant bickering when your trying to play a game of football. Of course I never start it, Van hates me as much as I hate her, if not more so. Me and Natalie are in the locker rooms getting ready to play when Van and tai start snickering as us before barging into me as they walk past, "bitch" I mumble as she moves away from us. "Why do you two hate each other so much anyway, it kinda came out of no where" Natalie speaks. She's kinda right me and Van used to be friends, not even that long ago before she started acting all mean and better then me, i actually started to like her before all this, I assumed it was because she got friends with tai and I became friends with Nat so she just didn't need me anymore but really I'm not sure. We all got into position and coach martinez blew the whistle. We'd played for a while when I got the ball I'm on attack so I ran with it getting into the box and getting ready to strike, I pretended to kick the ball one way, leading to van leaping towards that side, before moving and hitting it in the other side of the net, successfully scoring! Everyone on my team ran towards me and cheered whilst tai rolled her eyes and Nat smiled at me. It was all going great until a certain redhead started screaming about how I'm a "fucking cheat" and cant play soccer. Usually this wouldn't have bothered me but come on she's been bitching all day, I walked over to her before saying "god sore looser much?" To the very angry goalie. She started toward me "oh yeah well at least I'm not the one who cries whenever she gets out on a team without her fuck buddy" she screams, making me confused as Nat and Lottie came between us, coach blowing the whistle loudly to get our attention. I sigh before heading towards the locker rooms, Van trailing behind me. When we get through the doors I can't help but ask "what did you mean back there about the fuck buddy thing?" " I didn't think you like me anymore and to be fair you did kinda replace me with Nat" "not really you kinda replaced me with tai, and anyway didn't you think Nat and i where dating or even just fucking, can I not be friends with you and someone else, or better yet fuck someone else; that's not even interfering with us or our dynamic" i state laughing a little, did she really think I was replacing her?. She stares at the ground before opening her mouth "y/n" she whispers, "Van" I whisper back smiling at her before realising she's being serious. She stands and come closer to me. "I couldn't be friends and think you where messing around with someone else, I got jealous I'm sorry. I started being mean to you because of it and that wasn't fair." She stops and I start to take everything she just said in "I get it if your mad I should've just told you I liked you or kept my feelings to myself and dealt with them this wasn't on you" she finishes. "Van I-I like you too, I was mean to you in retaliation, I didn't want to like you when you where being all sucky" a smile creeps up on her face, "I was kinda sucky huh", "oh absolutely" I state giggling at her. She comes closer to me and holds my waist, I look up at her, resting my hands on her shoulders. " how about we try this again?" She says smirking, "I'd love that I say"closing the gap between us, her soft lips meeting mine. We walk backwards a bit until my back meets the cold metal of the lockers, making me sigh a bit, our lips never leaving each other. Vans hands start to explore my body, untucking my shirt before making their way up my rib cage and meeting my bra. I tangle my hands in her hair, making her groan. "AND here I was thinking you two hated each other" jackie shouts down the locker room, alerting us of her presence and making us pull apart (reluctantly). I wipe my mouth quickly, Van doing the same, feeling my cheeks burn up. "Coach sent me here to make sure you two hadn't torn each other apart, looks like I got here just in time thought right?" "Okayyy enough" van replies going red herself. "Anyway now you've put aside your differences and seem to finally be 'working as a team'" she states using air quotes, " you can come to the last half an hour" Jackie finishes. "Cooool" I say, secretly wishing me and Van could finish what we started. And begin to follow her to the pitch, Van right behind me, both still red, exchanging a final glance.

Background - You're at work, and you get a text from Vinny. He says he has a surprise when you get home. Later that night, you thank him.

You're at work, currently on your last break before the rest of your shift. You get a text from your boyfriend, Vinny.

It reads, "Hey baby. I know you're at work right now, but I have a surprise for you when you get home. I love you, I'll see you tonight."

Your eyes water a bit but you wipe them. You reply back telling him that you love him more, and that you can't wait to see him tonight.

You put your phone away as your break has ended, and you continue on with your shift.

A few hours later

Your shift ended, as you just got in your car. You text Vinny to let him know that you are on your way back home.

After you text him, you start your car and exit the parking lot. As you continue driving, your phone dings but assume that it is just Vinny.

You eventually get home, pulling your car in the driveway. You then get out of the car, and lock it.

A few moments later, you're inside the house. You walk in the kitchen to put your things down, when you see the dining table set up and lit. Vinny was still setting it up.

"Babe.." You say.

He turns around and sees you, immediately running up to you so he can hug you. You hug him back, then he kisses you.

"You probably already noticed, but this was the surprise I mentioned earlier.." He says.

"I love it." You say.

You both smile at each other, and sit at the dining table to have dinner. You and Vinny talk for a bit after, him asking you how your day was.

After that, he insists on cleaning up but you offer to help him. He's stubborn, and says it's okay. You raise and eyebrow, but accept his answer.

You go upstairs to change, but you find lingerie that you bought months ago, that you forgot about. You smirk, wondering if it still fits you.

You grab it, and go in the restroom that is connected to your shared bedroom to try it on.

After you put it on, you look in the mirror. You decide to sneak downstairs to surprise Vinny, so you slip on a pair of heels.

You quietly but carefully walk downstairs, and see Vinny in front of the sink.

"Hey baby," You say seductively. He hears you, so he stops what he's doing and turns around after drying his hands.

"Holy fuck." He groans. You walk towards him, and as you get closer, and he pulls you towards him to kiss you.

He pulls away, and you start kissing his neck.

"I need you, now." He says.

"Then what are you waiting for?" You ask. He raises an eyebrow, and you smirk, dragging him into the living room. You push him on the couch, and sit on his lap to straddle him.

You feel his hands take off your heels, and put them somewhere.

"You're so hot babe." He says.

"Hmm, why thank you." You say.

You start to kiss his neck again, slowly putting your hands under his shirt. He groans, then takes it off.

You then give him hickeys, and start to grind on him.

"Baby, I need you now." He says.

"As you wish, babe." You say. You get up, and tease him, taking off your lingerie very slowly. He groans as you do this.

After you get done, you take off Vinny's pants and underwear, him obviously being hard.

You get back on his lap, then sink down onto him. A soft moan escapes your lips, and you start to move.

You slam back down onto him, and a groan escapes his lips.

"Fuck baby, you're doing so good for me." He says breathlessly.

This makes you whimper, and you continue moving. He throws his head back, letting out uncontrollable sounds.

A while later, you feel yourself getting close. You reach down and rub your clit before letting go.

He follows shortly after, releasing inside of you. You stay there for a while, cuddling into him. After you high, you kiss him on the cheek.

He opens his eyes, and smiles down at you. He kisses you on your forehead.

"Well that was amazing." He says.

"It sure was." You say, leaning your head against his shoulder.

"After we stay here for a few more minutes, we need to take a shower so we can go to sleep. I'm getting exhausted." He says.

"Yeah me too, especially from work today. I needed that though." You say.

He smiles, and after you stay there for a while he carries you to the nearest restroom so you both can shower.

After you both shower, you go upstairs since that's where your clothes are. You change into something comfortable to sleep in, which is just a t-shirt and a pair of underwear.

Then you get in bed, cuddling into the blankets while Vinny is doing something.

A few moments later, he joins you in bed after turning off the lights.

"You're probably asleep, but tonight was amazing. I'll see you in the morning." He says, before holding you.

You were half asleep when he said that, but chose to pretend to be asleep. You both end up falling asleep soon after.

I honestly have no idea how long this has been in my drafts with just a couple paragraphs written, but here we go! Sorry this took forever, but I'm assuming this is the prompt you are asking for:

"Your body is 70 percent water… and I’m thirsty."

Warning: implied smut

Hook is not typically clingy or needy, but lately, he has been touching my back or thigh or holding my hand almost constantly. I am not used to him showing PDA backstage, but he seems to be getting bolder, wrapping an arm around my waist and kissing my forehead whenever he wants. I couldn't tell what had changed until I saw him tense up whenever Wardlow showed up.

--- A few months earlier ---

Initially, Hook and I were just friends as we got our careers started, and during that time, we talked about who we find attractive in the company. He told me Skye Blue was attractive, but obviously, the bro code took her out of the running. I told him Wardlow would make me a little weak in the knees, and Hook kinda rolled his eyes at that.

"Literally, every girl in the world finds him attractive. I haven't met anyone who hasn't said they had at least a small crush on him."

I smirk as I look over at him and shake my head before giggling a little bit.

"Do you think we don't see every guy staring at Skye's ass whenever she is in her ring gear? It's like a magnet to you all, but I mean, I can't really blame you."

Hook gulped as he fidgeted with his bag of chips and offered you some.

--- Current day ---

I smirked to myself as I felt strong arms pulling me back against a solid torso. I looked up at Hook, and he kissed my forehead as we watched the matches from backstage. Wardlow walks by to go warm up, and I decide to test my theory.

"Hey, Wardlow, how are you feeling about your match with Joe?"

Wardlow turns around and smirks as Hook stands a bit taller behind me. I roll my eyes as he slips his hand into my hoodie front pocket and pulls me into me.

"I'm feeling pretty good. I'm ready to get my title back, that's for sure. How are you feeling about fighting Skye next week?"

"Skye and I are pretty good friends, so we are working hard to make sure we put on a good match for Dynamite. Hopefully, this hunk of man meat behind me will be ringside and cheer me on. Right, babe?"

I look up and see Hook smirking down at me. He nods and kisses the top of my head.

"Of course, I'm always happy to be there to cheer you on, sweetheart. Just like you are to me."

I nod and turn back to Wardlow, who is trying to keep his smirk hidden under his hand, watching Hook get jealous and protective.

"Well, you two love birds enjoy the rest of the show and I'll see you next week!"

I smile and wave goodbye to him as I feel Hook's arms loosen slightly around me. I take the chance to slip out of his grasp and go find a snack in catering. Skye is sitting down eating, and as I turn around to see Dante and Hook talking, I decide to sit down with her.

"Skye, we have to make sure our match is top notch next week. I know we will kill it, but I think I have a plan to get Hook to confess to his jealousy."

Skye leans in closer as I tell her my idea, and she laughs as I tell her what just happened with Wardlow.

"Oh, Hook, such a sweet, jealous little puppy dog."

We talk for a bit longer before parting ways and finishing up the show as I plot against my boyfriend.

--- Next Week ---

I'm backstage warming up for my match against Skye when I see Wardlow walking by and deciding to ask him about his ring gear. He seemed a little confused, but I just whispered, "Just go with it," and he nodded before telling me about the velvet fabric and why he likes it. Hook came around the corner and saw you looking at Wardlow's phone as he showed you pictures of his different gear color ways.

"Hey, baby girl. Do you want my help stretching out?"

I smirk up at Wardlow and nod to him before responding.

"Of course, babe. Wardlow was just showing me where he finds his velvet material for his gear."

Wardlow puts his phone back in his pocket before waving and telling me good luck.

I roll my head around and start to stretch before I feel Hook start massaging my shoulders. I lightly moan as my head falls back against his chest. He chuckles softly as his hands travel down my back. I stretched for a few minutes before laying on my back and focusing on my legs. Hook kneels down and helps stretch my hamstrings as he teasingly rubs his hips against mine lightly.

"You better stop that. I'm not wearing a thong or anything under my tights, and I don't want to look like I've pissed myself."

Hook laughs as he switches my legs and leans forward. "Well, then, you need to stop being so sexy in your gear."

After getting fully warmed up, I grab Hook's hand, and we walk backstage to get ready to go out. Skye is walking out to her music, and I am trying to get into character as Hook slaps my ass before we walk out. I roll my eyes at him and walk out to my music before walking around the ring and looking around at the crowd.

Hook stands ringside nonchalantly, watching as Skye and I lock up in the center of the ring. We hit a few of our signature moves before Skye goes to bounce off the rope as I rear back and hit her with a lariat like Wardlow does. Skye sells it as I turn to look at Hook. His eyes have narrowed at me, and I smirk before going for the Redrum and making Skye tap out.

The ref raises my hand, and Hook grabs my other hand to help me celebrate. Once the ref lets go of my hand, I pull Hook in for a passion filled kiss, and he happily obliges before helping me out of the ring. I jokingly jump on his back, and he quickly catches me before giving me a piggyback ride all the way through the tunnel. He sets me back on the ground before pushing me up against the wall.

"That was not the match plan you told me about. Where did the lariat come from?"

I shrugged and let my fingers start to trace his arms.

"I've been getting tips for it from Wardlow, so I tried it out."

Hook involuntarily let out a low growl at the other man's name. I placed my hands on his chest, trying to calm him down.

"Down boy, it's no big deal. It's not like it ever finishes the job, unlike someone else's move..."

Hook sighs and tries to hide the smile peeking out.

"That was quite the surprise to see you do the Redrum. I'm pretty impressed with it."

I slid my hands up to cup his jawline as I leaned into closer, lightly biting my lip.

"Lariat might look good from afar, but goddamn that Redrum always makes me finish... the match that is..."

Hook captures my lips in a kiss as he presses his body into mine and hikes one of my legs up and around his waist. He lightly rubs his hips against mine as we both start to get more needy by the second.

"Your body is 70 percent water… and I’m thirsty, babygirl. Let's go back to the hotel where I'm going to make you finish over and over again."

He pinches my ass making me wiggle out of his arms and giggle as I go get my stuff out of the locker room and prepare to leave. Hook goes to catering to get some snacks that he knows we will need between rounds later. Wardlow walks up to him and pats him on the back.

"Your woman has a mad lariat. She did amazing out there tonight."

Hook nods and grabs a couple extra water bottles.

"That she does, but she also knows how to use the best finisher."

Wardlow smirks and chuckles lowly before gently turning Hook to look at him.

"That girl is crazy about you. She talked nonstop about you when I was helping her with training. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about with her. Now, get some good fuel because I'm sure you two are going to have a long night."

Hook laughs and bro handshakes with Wardlow before placing all the snacks in his backpack. He starts walking back only to find me waiting for him in the hallway, playing on my phone. He interlocks our fingers, and we walk out to the rental car, ready for a really fun night.

"So coach thinks we have a-", Klay stopped speaking to let out a huge yawn, a smile creeping on his face when he heard you giggle on the other end of the phone. "Sorry, we're doing two a days right now. I'm exhausted."

Klay was in Denver playing a three game series with the Nuggets, and with your busy schedule, the two of you hadn't seen each other in over two weeks. Your nightly phone calls were the only thing keeping you afloat right now, you missed your boyfriend so much.

"No, don't apologize. You have a very cute yawn." You couldn't see him in the moment, but you knew Klay was blushing. As much as he loved to give you compliments, he was almost annoyingly dismissive of how much you loved him.

"What are you up to?" You listened to Klay shuffle around, assuming he was getting comfortable in bed, it was after midnight.

You were on your third business trip of the year for work, and it was getting harder and harder to tell the hotel rooms you were staying in apart. You tried to make the most of it by exploring the cities you visited, but it didn't change the fact that you just wanted to go home.

"Trying to pack re-pack my suitcase again. Its getting old wearing the same thing every couple of days, but only 48 hours before I'm back home. Can't wait to see you again, baby." Klay sucked in his teeth, and you let out a sigh, knowing it was nothing good.

"You're coming home, right?", you asked, already knowing the answer.

"We only get 24 hours off, so I was planning on going straight to Atlanta with the team."

"Klay...". You knew you sounded pitiful, but this just pushed you over the edge. "I'm sorry, babe. Its just not worth it."

"I know. I know. I don't mean to make you feel bad." You'd save your sulking for after you got off the phone.

"Why don't you just come here? We can spend the day in Denver and then you can come to Atlanta and catch a couple of games." Now it was your turn to suck in your teeth. Klay actually sounded excited about the idea, and that made you feel even more guilty for being apprehensive. "Or not, no pressure."

"No, no, I really want to. Its just-". You were telling the truth. You did want to join Klay on the team plane and get a chance to spend as much time with him, but you weren't sure if you wanted to live the life of a professional athlete's girlfriend. At least not yet. You had seen what social media could do to these women, and you always valued your privacy and independence more than anything. The moment the public found out you and Klay were together, all of that would change and you would be under scrutiny.

"I get it. You don't have to explain." You could hear the drop in his tone.

"Klay, please. I love what we have now. I don't want it to change." You plopped down on your bed, the thought of packing too much right now. "If its about your safety, I promise, you won't have to worry about anything."

"Its that", you nodded, "but also, I've seen what people have said about Ayesha, I don't think I'm ready for that." Klay sat up in bed and swung his feet over the side to hit the ground, resting his forearms on his thighs as he held his phone in his hands. "Listen, babe, if there's one thing I learned in this industry, its that people are always gonna talk. No matter how good you play, how good of a person you are, somebody will always have something to say. We can't let that keep us apart, okay?"

You let out a shaky breath. "How are you always so sure?"

"So sure of what?"

"About us. All of the doubts I've had, you've never waivered. Why?" Klay chuckled to himself. "I don't know. Its just always felt right. The only other time I've felt like this is when we won the finals. Being with you is like living that every single day."

There was a moment of silence as you had to resist the urge to squeal with glee, not wanting to scare Klay away. You did a little happy dance around the room, making sure he couldn't hear how happy you were to have him in your life.

"So, you'll come to Denver?" Klay couldn't stand the silence any longer.

"Yes, I'll change my flight and come to Denver." You didn't even try to hide the eagerness with which you answered.

I was writing 5 times Aramis and Porthos get mistaken for gay dads and 1 time they get mistaken for lesbian mums but I got a bit carried away slash sidetracked making up a world to put them in so now it's just '1 time a lot of stuff happens but also nothing at all happens'. I still want that 5+1 fic. Maybe someone else'll make it. Hm. Anyway. Heres 'one time, some stuff; or burry Aramis in babies':

Porthos finds it a bit odd how often he has to explain that Agnes is in fact not dead. Henry's not Aramis's kid, but Aramis got attached, and Agnes lived with him when Henry was small, so Aramis says it might as well count. Henry definitely isn't Porthos's kid, but he goes to the same school where Porthos teaches now, and often ends up hanging out in Porthos's classroom end of days waiting on a ride home. And Porthos is on hand the time Henry punches someone, and Agnes is on shift: she calls in a favour. Short story long, most people assume Agnes is dead and Henry has two gay dads.

"I'm not even dating Aramis," Porthos grumbles, sprawled in the staff room pretending to do lesson planning but really napping with his head on Constance’s lovely thigh.

"Not a conversation you were having out loud babe," Charon says not looking up.

"Someone said how sad that Henry's mum's dead, when I dropped him this morning," Porthos says, providing the rest of the conversation for Charon.

"Thirsty mothers after your gay dad self?" Charon asks, still scribbling on papers at a great rate. "I'm not waiting on you, you know."

Porthos hauls himself off the sofa and away from his comfy napping spot, grabbing his pile of photocopying and wandering back to his classroom to finish up so Charon doesn't leave without him. Henry's still sat doing his homework, at a similar clip to Charon.

"Bum says Louis' over," Henry explains. "He's so annoying. I can't do this important work when he's there. Bum says being a brother is a honour and all sorts. Porthos, you're not listening to me."

Porthos isn't. He's trying to finish his work before Charon leaves him behind, he doesn't want to walk home especially if Henry's going to be complaining about Louis the whole way. He looks at the chaos of his desk in consternation wondering where to start. In the end he just empties some of the piles into his bag and calls it good. He packs up Henry as well and hurries them back to the staffroom trailing complaints from Henry.

"Nearly missed me," Charon says, breezing out and past, not pausing to allow them to change direction so they have to trot to catch up "Henry's coming? Are you gonna eat in my car again?"

"No. Bum didn't pack me enough snacks," Louis complains. He's side eyeing Porthos, seeing how that's landed.

Porthos is trying to remember if he has his house keys. They're halfway across the carpark when Rochelle comes flying around the school and runs full tilt into Porthos and Henry. Mostly Porthos.

"I'm coming to Bum's," Rochelle says, holding onto Porthos’s arm.

Porthos doesn't even remember where Aramis picked up Rochelle she just sort of crept in amongst some of the other kids who come and go and swirl around Aramis. She's older, a bit quieter, but wild with it. Porthos has a soft spot for her.

Especially since she's almost entirely responsible for convincing Aramis that 'bum' is a gender neutral term for 'parental figure'. Most of Aramis's call him Bum.

"Love you, Roch," Porthos says, kissing her forehead.

Then he has to kiss Henry too and promise Rochelle isn't favoured over him (she is) or loved more (she isn't) and by the time they've all piled into Charon's rattly old banger that he is none the less ridiculously proud and precious over, Charon is about ot leave without them. He pulls away as Porthos shuts the passenger side, flicking on the radio to various groans and grumbles and complaints.

Porthos texts Aramis to check Aramis knows there are two more mouths to feed, and Aramis texts back that actually there are four and can they get Luc and Marie. Charon says no but stops when Henry spots them out the window. Porthos wonders where they're gonna fit.

"You're walking babe," Charon says.

"I could fit in the boot," Porthos says, hopefully.

Charon just waits for him to get out and Luc to finish checking Marie is properly strapped in before climbing into the front seat (Porthos's seat). Porthos suggests the boot again, but Charon pulls away. Well, at least he only has to walk half way. At least its warm. At least Charon let him leave his bag and books and laptop so he hasn't got to carry anything. He sticks his hands in hsi pockets and sets off whistling.

"Porthos! Wait up!"

Porthos turns and sees d'Artagnan coming along at a jog, hair flying. He barrels all the way into Porthos just like Rochelle, kissing Porthos's cheeks and hugging him. Porthos starts forward again but d'Artagnan tuts and waits them.

"Athos is coming along," d'Artagnan explains, when Porthos makes impatient noises. It doesn't soothe Porthos, if Athos wants to walk with them he should run, like d'Artagnan did. Porthos's fine mood sinks. "C'mon, he's old, he can't go so fast."

This for Athos's benefit, because he's jsut swung into hearing range. Porthos sets off ignoring his two companions arguing about whether or not thirty five is old. Athos doesn't bother to refute 'slow', as much as d'Artagnan tries to goad him into a foot race. Porthos also resists, mostly by ignoring. He walks at a steady pace.

"What," Athos asks, d'artagnan giving up on them and racing his own shadow, skipping ahead to look at hedges or something.

"What what?" Porthos grumbles. He gives Athos a shove when Athos stays silent.

"Don't push me into the road just because whatever has your knickers twisted," Athos says. "Did you fight with yout boyfriend?"

"I'm not dating Aramis."

There's a long silence. Then Athos says 'huh' as if he didn't know that. Porthos pushes him again, nearly really into the road, a car goes past, Porthos grabs him.

"Saved your life."

"Endangered my life."

“This is me.”

Athos and Porthos stand for a minute, d’Artagnan loops back to hug Porthos again and then Athos and d’Artagnan carry on their walk, Porthos breaks away to cut through the gennel out to the cul de sac where he and Aramis live. He’s been walking to work on and off with Athos for going on ten years, at first they walked an awkward metre apart, different schools but close enough and similar enough to be walking the same route the same time. Then they’d given up and walked together in awkward silence. Then they’d ended up in an easy sort of friendship that mostly consists of their commute. D’Artagnan started teaching with Athos nearly two years ago and lived close so he’s joined them. Neither of them have, somehow, met Aramis.

Henry is doing his homework on the front step, which is effectively the pavement. There isn’t really a step. There’s noise in the house and thundering elephant footsteps and Marie-Cessette comes teetering to the door, leans on Henry, looks up at Porthos, gabbles happily, and thuds back down the hall. Marie walks after her both ways, studiously examining her steps and making sure she doesn’t fall. Porthos climbs over Henry into his house, scooping up both Maries on his way to the kitchen to search out Elodie. Elodie, Charon, and Flea, it turns out. Sitting around in his kitchen with tea and wine and cookies, Luc sitting being grownup with them, Aramis nowhere to be seen.

“Where is he?” Porthos asks, setting the children down now that he’s not at risk of falling over them.

Sam’s sprawled asleep in Charon’s lap, big, only just enough of a toddler to be napping afternoons especially in people’s lap. Charon likes Sam though, Sam’s probably why Charon even agreed to let that lot of Aramis’s into his car. No one answers about where Aramis is. Porthos can hear Rochelle and Fleur out the back, and Marie and Marie-Cessette have found Louis and are squabbling over a puzzle, Henry’s talking to some of the other neighbourhood kids out the front, but not a sound of Aramis. Until a baby sets up a wail. Porthos rolls his eyes and follows the noise.

He finds Aramis in Porthos’s room, a baby in the crook of his arm, talking to-

“Samara!” Porthos cries.

She turns and she smiles, the same as he remembers; warm and lovely and family. He takes a big step and engulfs her as she turns to him, joy bubbling out of him to see her. He’s not sure if he’s laughing or saying hello or crying, he just hangs onto her, hand around the back of her head to pull her in, her arms around him gathering him to her.

“Porthos,” she says, his name wondering in her mouth, “I missed you! You have got bigger, my friend!”

“Taller,” Porthos says, firmly. It’s not true; he’s gained muscle, and then weight, and then muscle, and some more weight. Seeing as, “It’s been two years!”

“Morroco is far away.”

“Far enough away to have a baby without my knowing?” Porthos says, when the baby starts to cry again.

It’s not Samara’s, it turns out, Aramis has collected it somewhere along the way between leaving work and getting home, a story that will have to wait, he’d come into Porthos’s room to talk to Samara when she woke up from her nap and there’s a little of chaos as they work out that Samara is staying with them, is happy to take Porthos’s room, and Porthos is welcome to share the bed (his bed) but only if he promises he’s fixed ‘the kicking thing’ (he hasn’t).

“You can bunk in with me,” Aramis says.

“Not on your life, not with that one that young,” Porthos says. “Like you’re tricking me into getting up every few hours for feeds again.”

Aramis sniggers.

“You kicked me,” Samara says, sternly, crossing her arms and standing between him and the bed like he’s about to climb in right now and never get out leaving her to sleep with Aramis and do the baby feeding dance of sleep deprivation.

Porthos, effectively ousted from his own home, goes to ask Marie if she minds sharing with him as well as Luc for a few nights. Luc won’t care, he was in group homes for a bit before he found Marie again and dragged them both out, stumbling them into Aramis’s warm little chaotic tangle. They’re the only kids who have an actual fully-owned space here, the others always have a place, they hot desk with bedrooms and share when it’s full, Rochelle and Fleur have claimed the attic but they’re decidedly not allowed to sleep up there until Porthos takes his thumb out and sorts steps and safe exits in the case of fire, and Aramis gets around to stopping Rochelle from using heavy boxes to lock them in up there.

Neither of those things are happening any time soon; Porthos is busy and can’t be bothered to do DIY, Aramis is far too soft to properly discipline his girls. Or his boys, or his in-betweenies-undecideds. Marie says she doesn’t mind Porthos having a mattress on their floor so long as he is happy to tell her stories about giants and pirates and octopuses if she wakes up in the night.
