Former President Donald Trump said Israel has to “finish up” the war in Gaza in a Monday interview with an Israeli news outlet, adding that the country “has to be very careful” because it is “losing a lot of support.”[...]
In an interview with Israel Hayom, a publication owned by the family of the late conservative real estate magnate Sheldon Adelson, Trump suggested he would have acted very similarly to Israel’s government in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas militants. But he also said Israel made “a very big mistake” with photos and imagery of bombs dropped on Gaza helping push public opinion against the war.
“I wanted to call [Israel] and say don’t do it,” Trump told the outlet. “These photos and shots. I mean, moving shots of bombs being dropped into buildings in Gaza. And I said, Oh, that’s a terrible portrait. It’s a very bad picture for the world.”

From Al Mayadeen's summary of occupation media coverage of Iran's strikes:
"Israeli journalist Amir Bohbot considered that any future confrontation with Iran could end with 'a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles,' similar to those that targeted the occupied territories early Sunday, as 'the dam (barrier) was breached and has collapsed.' He said that 'Israel' is 'not in a hurry' to attack Iran, even though this 'damages Israel's deterrence.'
... The military affairs correspondent for Israel Hayom, Lilach Shoval stressed the need to take Iranian threats seriously, noting that discussions in 'Israel' currently 'revolve around changing the equation.' Shoval pointed out that 'Israel has been attacking targets, personnel, and scientists from Iran for years, in the shadows and behind the scenes,' but now it will have to consider 'whether it is worth doing so, after it believed [earlier] it could without Iran retaliating.'"

OCCUPATION PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU OPENLY CALLS FOR THE ETHNIC CLEANSING OF GAZA
The Israeli Occupation's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, openly called for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza on Tuesday, announcing plans for the "voluntary migration" of Palestinians from Gaza to other countries.
According to the Zionist media agency Israel Hayom daily, Netanyahu made the comments during a closed-door session of Parliament for Likud Party lawmakers.
"Our problem is the countries that are willing to absorb (them), and we are working on it," he reportedly told lawmakers.
According to reports, Likud Party member Danny Danon said during the closed-door session that there are countries that have actually raised the issue, including Canadian Immigration Minister Marc Miller and former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley.
He also added that the Israeli entity must form a committee to follow up on the issue, ensuring that anyone who wants to move to a third country can do so.
Arab governments across the region have opposed such a plan, voicing opposition to imposing "forced migration" on Palestinians in Gaza.

• Israel ordered 25 patients receiving care in West Bank to return to Gaza. They're among the 400 patients from Gaza who were left stranded in West Bank after Oct 7
March 22, 2024.
🚨Russia & China veto US UN Security Council ceasefire resolution
The resolution showed a shift: US had vetoed every ceasefire proposal, most recently Algeria’s as the US opposed language of “immediate” ceasefire, preferring “humanitarian pause”. But now the US draft states “the imperative of an immediate and sustained ceasefire”.
The problem? It’d last only 6 weeks, is conditional on release of Israeli hostages, and condemns both Hamas’ op & the Houthi naval blockade. The wording of “determines the imperative” is also weak, implying the importance of a ceasefire, not demanding one.
The result? It wouldn’t obligate Israel to end the genocide + let it continue on the pretext that there’s no “acceptable” hostage deal.
It was vetoed by 🇷🇺 & 🇨🇳 who said it’d let Israel continue attacks & invade Rafah. Algeria also voted against it.
10 states are planning alternative resolution calling for Ramadan ceasefire, including but not conditioned on release of Israeli hostages. US likely to veto.
Day 168 - IMPORTANT
• Gaza death toll surpasses 32,000 not including the thousands buried under rubble
‼️ Israel seized 1,977 acres of West Bank land for settlements, the largest land theft since 1993
🇺🇸 Congress passes bill that bans funding to UNRWA until 2025; expected for Senate to pass before midnight deadline
🏥 Israel’s siege on Shifa Hospital enters 5th day as they bomb & demolish buildings with bulldozers; abducting 240+ patients & 10 medical staff from radiology unit. IOF forces ordered trapped patients to surrender despite continuous heavy gunfire
• 50 Palestinians abducted incl. 4 kids during 60+ Israeli military raids across West Bank in 2 days. Marking March 20 “one of the deadliest nights recorded to date” in 2024 in West Bank w/ 7+ Palestinians killed. Israeli settlers also took over 20+ Palestinian residential structures
• UN aid mission to north Gaza for 7,500 people was denied by Israel
🇫🇮 Finland to resume UNRWA funding
March 24, 2024.
Day 170
🚨 Israeli forces lay siege to 3 hospitals, surrounding al-Amal Hospital forcing Palestinians to strip naked & leave; currently carpet bombing near Nasser Hospital & sniping anyone moving, while continuing aggressive 7-day seige on al-Shifa
• 84 Palestinians killed, 106 injured in Gaza in past 24 hours
• Israel denied thousands of Christians from West Bank entry to Jerusalem on Psalm Sunday, heightening military checkpoints. Israel’s apartheid system discriminates Palestinians’ freedom of movement, requiring permits for West Bank residents to enter, which is rarely granted. More info on Israeli apartheid: https://rb.gy/vjocrd + checkpoints: https://rb.gy/rabxt6;
• Israel to deny all UNRWA aid convoys to north Gaza, despite 70% of population subject to “catastrophic starvation”
• BDS launches boycott of tech company Intel due to its $25bn investment in new factory in Israel, the “largest investment ever”; on top of Intel’s $50bn+ investments in Israel in past 50 years
March 25, 2024.
UNSC CEASEFIRE MOTION PASSES
For the 1st time the Security Council managed to pass a ceasefire resolution. The US abstained while all 14 others voted yes
The US planned to veto if it didn’t mention the hostages so it “demands an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties leading to a permanent sustainable ceasefire, and also demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.”
But it doesn’t condition the ceasefire on a hostage swap the way done by the US draft that got vetoed by 🇷🇺 & 🇨🇳
It doesn’t condemn Hamas explicitly as the US wanted but it “deplores” all attacks against civilians & “all acts of terrorism” noting that it’s illegal to take hostages under int’l law. So it’s indirect condemnation
It expresses deep concern “about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip,” calling for more efforts for more aid & to protect civilians. This is weak language
Better than nothing but not enough as people are slaughtered & raped.
Day 171 — Attacks on 3 hospitals
🚨 Israel escalates attacks on “safe zone” Rafah killing 30+, including women and children amid threats of looming ground invasion
• 107 Palestinians killed, 176 injured in past 24 hours
🏥 22,000 displaced Palestinians face worsening conditions in the European Hospital, one of the last functioning in Gaza, overcrowded with patients awaiting critical care
🏥 Israeli forces lay siege to further hospitals in Khan Younis forcing critically ill patients to evacuate the premises surrounded by complete destruction
🏥 Israeli forces open fire on medical staff forced to evacuate al-Amal Hospital amid continuous attacks on the premise leaving patients in critical condition, deprived of medical supervision
• Netanyahu cancels Israeli delegation trip to US over its abstention in today’s UNSC vote, calling it a departure from their long-standing support of Israel. Biden called the move “disappointing”
• Israeli assaults targeting homes in central Gaza kill 18
(No march 26 summary)
March 27, 2024
Day 172

🇧🇪 Brussels City Council passes motion to ban council purchases of products from Israeli settlements in the West Bank on the basis of international law violations
• Israel bombs residential building in Rafah, killing 15+ displaced Palestinians incl. 4 kids. Analysts say the Rafah bombings mark the start of a “silent” invasion
🏥 Ongoing Israeli attacks on Shifa Hospital kill 30+ people incl. a family living in a residential building near the besieged complex
• IOF abducts 30 Palestinians in overnight raids in West Bank cities
🇱🇧 Israeli airstrike in eastern Lebanon kills 2 people, an escalation as the bombing was far from south Lebanon, the usual battleground
March 28, 2024.
Day 173

• Israeli attacks on residential homes in Rafah kill 25 displaced Palestinians, incl. multiple children
• 76 Palestinians killed, 102 injured in the last 24 hours
• IOF kills 4 in central Gaza, forcefully burying them by bulldozers
🇺🇸 US state department report claims Israel is complying with international law, as US reviewed Israeli usage of US weapons in order to validate future arms exports
🇱🇧 Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon residencies kill 12 in past 24 hours with many still trapped under the rubble
• Two aid seekers remain in critical condition as Israeli snipers target the Kuwait Roundabout aid distribution point

🚨LEAKED: ISRAEL’S ETHNIC CLEANSING PLAN
- Leaked plan to push Palestinians into the sea.
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed one of his closest aides to explore ways to “thin out” Gaza’s population, the Israel Hayom newspaper reported.
-According to the newspaper, Netanyahu instructed Ron Dermer, his minister of strategic planning and a close aide, to have a plan for the “day after” in Gaza and, if necessary, one that “enables a mass escape [of Palestinians] to European and African countries” by opening sea routes out of the strip.
- The secret plan, seen by Israel Hayom, is being tightly circulated “due to its obvious explosiveness”, said the report, adding that “Netanyahu sees this as a strategic goal”.
- The plan aims to bypass expected US and Egyptian opposition. Unless Egypt starts shooting Palestinians crossing into the country, Cairo’s “determined resistance” can be overcome, it added.
WE NEED A CEASEFIRE NOT JUST TO SAVE LIVES. BUT TO SAVE GAZA’S EXISTENCE.

Hello! Thank you for your work in reporting on what is happening. I hope you are able to take care of yourself and step away when you need to in these times.
If you don’t mind, I was wondering if you could share what news outlets/other social meadow accounts you consider trustworthy so that I can also follow them? Thank you
Disclaimer in that no news company/journalist is truly 100% impartial so you really do have to keep grains of salt on hand, just that some at least have editorial standards enforced better
That being said, Reuters, AFP and Associated Press are my gold standard; CNN, BBC are not as good in my opinion but at least offer reliable frequent updates, and for the Israeli stuff Haaretz, Jerusalem Post and Times of Israel outside of their opinion columns also offer updates and in English. If you can read Hebrew for them I also recommend ynetnews (not Israel Hayom because it’s pro Netanyahu/Likud, Arutz Sheva is worse)
For Spanish lang I like El País; I also recommend reading and comparing Al Jazeera English with Al Jazeera Arabic (the latter frequently publishes Hamas communiqués if you want to see that)
Journalists: Oz Katerji is def the most neutral imho; you’ll also find good info with Michael A. Horowitz, and Or-ly Barlev. Trey Yingst works for Fox News but he’s pretty close to the front lines

that sort of makes like half sense to me, but it doesn't seem very democratic at all. it appears very insidious. while I support palestine, I appreciate your answer, and I hope you will choose to consume media of international sources, because I worry that this law is just a farce to push a narrative your government wants you to believe, you know? peace & love
lol an act against democracy in a time of crisis? with my bibi Netanyahu?? no wayyy.
Believe me, if this was a real news source, there would be mass demonstrations about it. nobody wants this organization here, it is nothing but bad for our country. the only reason this doesn't pass with 100 Knesset members is that it is a clear violation of the right to free press(I don't think foreign organizations are supposed to have that right anyway, but I digress)
anyway, I hope you don't use this absolutely bogus "news" organization, It's Qatari propaganda, to an extreme level. if you wanna see how much, get to the Arab version of this site.
I read everything from BBC to Israel hayom, and I also go around the country and talk with friends who are\were in there. the amount of misinformation you westerners are getting is insane, please for the love of god, Israel still has free press, the government didn't influence the media (at least as far as we know, at least in this subject, there is a reason our PM is up for trial), read times of Israel, the jerusalem post, or even Israel Hayom (yes, even they have a better track record to these Hamas spokespeople).

Israel has threatened to withdraw from the Eurovision Song Contest if organisers try to censor its 2024 song entry. Eden Golan, who was announced as the country’s representative earlier this month, was due to sing “October Rain” at the contest in Malmo, Sweden, in May. However, a row has now erupted after leaked lyrics showed that the song appears to reference the 7 October attack by Hamas, according to the Israel Hayom newspaper. The Eurovision Broadcasting Union (EBU), which runs the annual competition, describes the song contest as a non-political event, and maintains its right to disqualify contestants who break this rule. Israel says it will not compete in the competition this year if its lyrics are not approved. The song is currently being reviewed by the EBU.
the audacity of israeli institutions. to not even try to put a lid on current events, but to insist that israel is the victim in this conflict. throwing a fit about how you're not allowed to do that when there's already objections to your presence in the competition.

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN
November 26, 2023
HEATHER COX RICHARDSON
NOV 27, 2023
A four-year-old dual Israeli-American citizen was among the 17 more hostages released by Hamas today. Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners, all of whom were under 19 years old. Hamas has expressed interest in extending the truce; Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has echoed that interest so long as each day brings at least ten more hostages out of captivity. Officials from the U.S., Egypt, and Qatar continue to negotiate.
In the Washington Post today, reporters Steve Hendrix and Hazem Balousha put on the table the idea that both Netanyahu and Hamas “may be on the way out.” Such a circumstance would permit changes to the current political stalemate in the region, perhaps bringing closer the two-state solution for which officials around the world, including U.S. president Joe Biden, continue to push.
Israelis are furious that Netanyahu failed to prevent the October 7 attack, and seventy-five percent of them want him to resign or be replaced when the crisis ends. At the same time, Hendrix and Balousha write, Palestinians are angry enough at Gaza’s leadership to be willing to criticize Hamas.
Whether Hendrix and Balousha are right or wrong, it is significant that a U.S. newspaper is looking for a change of leadership in Israel as well as in Gaza. That sentiment echoes the statement of Netanyahu’s own mouthpiece, Israel Hayom, about a month ago. Begun by U.S. casino mogul Sheldon Adelson to promote Netanyahu’s ideas, the paper in early November said that Netanyahu should “lead us to victory and then go.”
Meanwhile, Iran-backed Houthi forces from Yemen fired two ballistic missiles at a U.S. Navy destroyer, the USS Mason, this evening, missing it by about ten nautical miles (which are slightly longer than miles on land), or eighteen and a half kilometers. Earlier in the day, the USS Mason and Japanese allies rescued a commercial vessel, the Central Park, when it came under attack by five pirates in the Gulf of Aden near Somalia. The USS Mason captured and arrested the attackers as they fled. The USS Mason is part of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group deployed to the region. Attacks on shipping in the area have increased since the October 7 attack. Last week, Yemeni Houthis seized a cargo ship linked to Israel.
As Congress prepares to get back to work after the Thanksgiving holiday, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released a letter addressed to his colleagues outlining the work he intends to get done before the end of the year. He emphasized that he and the Democrats want bipartisan solutions and urged his colleagues to work with Republicans to isolate the Republican extremists whose demands have repeatedly derailed funding measures.
Top of Schumer’s list is funding the government. The continuing resolution that passed just before Thanksgiving extended funding deadlines to two future dates. The first of those is January 19, and Schumer noted that lawmakers had continued to work on those bills over the Thanksgiving holiday to make sure they pass.
Next on Schumer’s list is a bill to fund military aid to Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific region as well as humanitarian assistance for Palestinian civilians and money for U.S. border security, including funding for machines to detect illegal fentanyl and for more border agents and immigration courts. President Biden requested the supplemental aid package of about $105 billion back in October, but while the aid in it is popular among lawmakers, hard-right Republicans are insisting on tying aid for Ukraine to a replacement of the administration’s border policies with their own. Some are also suggesting that helping Ukraine is too expensive.
Schumer noted that U.S. aid to Ukraine is vital to its ability to continue to push back the Russian invasion, while Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has pointed out that money appropriated for Ukraine goes to the U.S. defense industry to build new equipment as older equipment that was close to the end of its useful life goes to Ukraine.
Foreign affairs writer Tom Nichols of The Atlantic explains that foreign aid is normally about 1% of the U.S. budget—$60 billion—and 18 months of funding for both the military and humanitarian aid in Ukraine have been about $75 billion. Israel usually gets about $3 billion; the new bill would add about $14 billion to that. (For comparison, Nichols points out that Americans last year spent about $181 billion on snacks and $115 billion on beer.)
Schumer reminded his colleagues that backing off from aid to Ukraine would serve the interests of Russian president Vladimir Putin; backing off from our engagement with the Indo-Pacific would serve the interests of China’s president Xi Jinping.
“The decisions we will have to make in the coming weeks on the aid package could determine the trajectory of democracy and the resilience of the transatlantic alliance for a generation,” Schumer wrote. “Giving Putin and Xi what they want would be a terrible, terrible mistake, and one that would come back to haunt us…. We cannot let partisan politics get in the way of defending democracy….”
Schumer said he would bring the measure up as soon as the week of December 4.
Schumer’s letter came the day after the annual day of remembrance of the 1932–1933 Holodomor famine in Ukraine, when the Soviet Union under leader Joseph Stalin starved 3.5 to 5 million Ukrainians, seizing their grain and farms in an attempt to erase their national identity.
In a statement in remembrance of Holodomor yesterday, President Biden drew a parallel between the Holodomor of the 1930s and Russia’s war against Ukraine today, noting that “Ukraine’s agricultural infrastructure is once more being deliberately targeted” as Russia is “deliberately damaging fields and destroying Ukraine’s grain storage facilities and ports.” (Even so, Ukraine has managed to deliver more than 170,000 tons of grain to Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Yemen in the past year.)
“On this anniversary, we remember and honor all those, both past and present, who have endured such hardship and who continue still to fight against tyranny,” Biden said. “We also recommit ourselves to preventing suffering, protecting fundamental freedoms, and responding to human rights abuses whenever and wherever they occur. We stand united with Ukraine.”
On the Ukrainian remembrance day of Holodomor, Russia launched 75 drones at Kyiv, its largest drone strike against Ukraine since the start of its invasion in February 2022.

According to Israel Hayom, Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has recently begun to meet with “Jewish leaders in her election district.”
OK, so Ariel Kahanah, who reported the story, doesn’t know that AOC represents NY 14, which includes the eastern part of The Bronx and part of north-central Queens. The Queens portion includes Astoria, College Point, Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and Woodside. The Bronx portion of the district includes City Island, Country Club, Van Nest, Morris Park, Parkchester, Pelham Bay, Schuylerville, and Throggs Neck.
I checked the UJA databank on the Jewish community of NY 14. It has 26,300 individuals who define themselves as Jews, out of roughly 700,000 residents, who are 50% Hispanic, 17% Asian, and 9% Black.
Out of the Jewish population, 8,400 are 65 and older––1,500 of whom live alone, and 12,400 are ages 40 to 64. 7,600 are poor or near-poor. 3,000 are of Russian origin. 5,600 are biracial. Fewer than 7,000 attend any synagogue, be it Orthodox, Conservative, or Reform.
In other words, AOC very likely did not meet with Jewish leaders in her election district. According to Israel Hayom, she held several closed meetings with a group of rabbis and Jewish leaders, men and women, who belong to the progressive wing of the Jewish community and some of whom are close to J Street.
And this is the bag where the AOC cat has been hiding all along. AOC met with progressive Jews from J Street and similar anti-Zionist, anti-Israel circles. And the reason she had to keep those meetings secret is that even those lefty Jews are kind of pariahs to the squad caucus.

The main theses from this "scientific work" is cited by the publication Israel Hayom.
According to the publication Israel Hayom, it had the full text of the doctoral dissertation of the current president of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas, which was written by him in Moscow in 1982 and immediately classified by the Soviet KGB (the secrecy of Abbas's work is still preserved in today's russia.
The text was given to the Israeli publication by the American Middle East research agency MEMRI, which managed to obtain it from russian archives, notes Israel Hayom.
In his 119-page doctoral thesis, Mahmoud Abbas, who at the time went by the party alias "Abu Mazen" and was additionally recruited by the KGB under the code name "Krotov", argued that "there were strong links between Zionism and Nazism" and that as the initiators of the Holocaust were the Jews themselves.
Abbas himself successfully defended his work at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, which at that time was headed by the famous professor and KGB agent Yevhen Primakov , who after the collapse of the USSR managed to become the director of the russian Foreign Intelligence Service, the minister of foreign affairs and even the prime minister.
"The main conclusion that Mahmoud Abbas comes to is that the Holocaust of the Jews was a joint project of the Nazis and the Zionist movement, which Abbas hates so much. The current head of the Palestinian Authority did everything to prevent the full text of his work from appearing anywhere, but we still got it," MEMRI president Yigal Karman told Israel Hayom.
According to Karman, Abbas's main idea in his work can be divided into several direct quotations with theses, the disclosure of which the author pays most attention in the text.
Here are just some of them.
"Zionist emissaries were given free access to the concentration camps in order to select the right people for the settlement of Israel and leave there others, unfit, who were not supposed to leave the concentration camps alive."
"Zionists deliberately killed Jews who, as part of illegal migration, fled from Nazi rule to the lands of Israel (at that time, the British Mandate of Palestine. — "NN"). They were killed because, according to the Zionists, they were wrong and unfit to settle in Israel."
"The leaders of the Zionist centers tried to hide from the international community the facts of resistance to the Nazis on the part of other Jewish factions and movements, in order to personally take part in the post-war peace negotiations. Their aim was to claim a share of the trophies from the victory of the Allies.'
"In 1943, an opportunity arose to send food, medicine and parcels to Jewish ghettos in Europe, but the Zionists thwarted this initiative, despite the fact that the International Red Cross was ready to undertake it."
"The entire population of the territories occupied by the Nazis, and not only Jews, was under the equal influence of the cruel Nazi military machine. There are no exact statistics on the number of Jewish victims, but they are deliberately exaggerated by the Zionists. In reality, less than a million died."
Regarding the last quote, the president of MEMRI especially emphasized that Mahmoud Abbas, in his narrative about "Nazis who treated everyone the same", relied heavily on official Soviet propaganda and odious Soviet anti-Semitic thinkers , who deliberately minimized the consequences of the Holocaust or denied it altogether, saying "about the general suffering of the Soviet people."
However, unlike Mahmoud Abbas, Soviet propaganda at least did not try to claim that the Jews inflated the number of victims, who died more than 6 million," Yigal Karman notes.
Carman suggests that Abbas's "scientific work" was too toxic even for the Soviet leadership, so they, of course, awarded him a doctorate, but also ordered the KGB to hide this thesis further.

Netanyahu looking for countries 'to absorb' ethnically cleansed Palestinians
Local media reported the Israeli prime minister discussed the idea at a meeting of his Likud party, plus other stories
Palestinians have long said Israel's current campaign in Gaza is aimed at ensuring their permanent expulsion from the area.Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told his supporters that he is working on finding countries ready to "absorb" Palestinians from Gaza. The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom said Netanyahu made the comments at a meeting of his Likud party on Monday, in which he sought to clarify Israel's plans for after the war had ended. "Our problem is countries that are ready to absorb them and we are working on it," Netanyahu said. "The world is already discussing the possibilities of voluntary immigration,” he said, adding that a team must be established to “ensure that those who want to leave Gaza to a third country can do so. It needs to be settled. It has strategic importance for the day after the war." His words align with statements made by other senior Likud figures. Former Likud minister Danny Danon, for example, has publicly called on western states to accept refugees from Gaza.
