Question to keepers of springtails,
Currently, I only need springtails for my plant terrariums.
I’m worried about potentially introducing an invasive species to my area, in case they escape or when I throw out dead plants. I live on the east coast of America, where it can get pretty cold and dry at times, but warm during the rest of the year.
Do I need to worry? Or would any springtail species die off, in the winter, if they escape?
And if I do need to worry, what species should buy to avoid this risk?
I’ve already googled this multiple times but the answers always vary.
Any help would be appreciated!
Tagging reptibr and isopod stuff because I know many reptile and isopod keepers also keep springtails...
