new to simblr - pls like/reblog?

hi!! i'm currently OBSESSED with your nsb posts omg! do you have any tips for noobs like me who want to start a sims 4 gameplay series here on tumblr? seriously, if i do, you and ratboysims are 100% my main inspo accs! tysm in advance and sorry to bother!! <3

isabela you’re so sweet!! & you’re not a bother!! honestly, I still consider myself a noob as well. I only started posting my gameplay a month ago but if I had to give any tips, i’d say try not to compare yourself to others. I find myself doing this sometimes and it ruins the fun in everything.

secondly, create an heir that you feel attached to. if you create a random sim that you haven’t given a story/personality to, their gameplay will get boring. ella is my baby & I love opening my game and playing with her.

thirdly, take breaks. don’t force yourself to play! have fun & take pictures of things that you think look fun or interesting! not based off what other posts look like.

fourthly (is this even a word lmao), give your sims friends or enemies to spice things up! do things with your sims like taking them out to dinner or the park or the movie theater! create clubs for your sims especially kids & teens! give them hobbies! try to push yourself out of your comfort zone of how you usually play!

and lastly, don’t worry about notes!!!!! the moment I stopped caring how many notes my posts got, I stared having the most fun i’ve had in awhile :)

hello! can you show me a picture of this issue, please? the only thing i can think of is that the intensity of your depth of field settings are too high. you can easily change the intensity by going into reshade’s configuration settings, opening the settings to the effect called “quint_dof” and lowering the blurred background intensity. i’d also fool with the bokeh intensity and the near/far curves intensity, which are also available to edit in the quint_dof settings. also check to see if the gaussian blur effected is enabled, as that will add a blurring effect to the full image, not just the background. i’d also recommend only using my preset with reshade 3.0.8. i don’t use any other reshade version, so i don’t know how my preset appears on any newer or older version. that may very well contribute to the issue. i’m really not a reshade expert, so i’m uncertain if any of this is helpful, i apologize! i’ve not run into an issue like this before! if this doesn’t solve your problem, just send me a picture of the issues you’re having and i’ll try to help you to the best of my abilities. :-)

npp!! i crossed it out because my posts are made in advance and i’m using a different preset now. i’m pretty sure the one your looking for is the dove one, it’s the one in the early rn g5 posts.

yeah i know i said tomorrow but i was bored and started playing w/ her 🥴 so ava got gardening and flower arranging skills! also had a successful bonding moment with the bees, and made 4 friends thanks to the welcome wagon this house is @avocadawn‘s and it’s such a view!! (i did give it a little makeover on he front cuz i didn’t have all packs used lol). obs: i’m changing through psds, so right now i’ll prob stick with this one but who knows... ✓ Have a Bee Box

she had a skin breakout and cut her bangs!!! i’m cryin she’s so cute! johnny invited us to his bday party, but she was the only one invited and he didn’t even blow out his candles...i think she realized it was an attempt to something and ate the cake before “happy bday time” (AND LOOK AT HIM HE’S OBVIOUSLY STILL A SIMP FOR HER) + her new casual outfit + 1st woohoo with reid (with pikachu slippies on) + NOW THEY’RE DATING (and i know, the heart shaped bonsai was fate only)

harry is a toddler!! i built him a bedroom, but it’s door is separated from the rest of the rouse house (and i know it sucks, i’m a terrible builder tbh lol)! as for ava, she’s on her 3rd trimester of pregnancy and i’m scared of the size of her belly and if we’re ‘gon have to move out if she gets twins 🥴 anyways, i’m still excited for the new baby to come yayy
