So was anyone going to tell me that when two characters are playing a game while talking about their differing opinions, whoever is winning the game is supposed to be winning the argument?
I see this literary device so much and I always thought the person winning was just a smug asshole. Getting checkmate doesn’t make your argument more valid

Do you ever just drink water dramatically, pretending it's vodka or something and hope to fool your brain into thinking it has to be happy now or am I just weird?

more books should use coloured ink. like, for different characters and what they're saying. because i speedread over some sentences and get a completely wrong impression leading me to read the sentence again and then reread the sentence prior to that and.
yeah.

I’ve often heard it said that people give the advice they need to hear.
Do you think this is why children’s shows often have the same lessons that people often forget when they’re older (be kind, enjoy the present, it’s okay to be yourself, etc).
You know, since these shows are written by adults who are trying to give useful life advice to the next generation.
This makes so much sense to me since every time I give someone advice that I learned in childhood, the response is either:
A) I am being too naïve
Or
B) I am wise beyond my years and super insightful
There is no in between.
I feel like we all think this is common sense basic advice that we give to kids because we all know it to be true, but in reality we are just projecting our own problems onto kids and hoping that they can learn something from what we wish we could be.

Okay I saw something on tiktok and I need to know- apparently a majority of vulvular having people wear thongs/g-strings on a daily basis and they say they are comfy
But I and many other say they’re incredibly uncomfortable especially because it’s like having a constant wedgie- to which the g-stans say that they don’t feel the wedgie…
So this is making me wonder is it just the Neurotypical’s who don’t hate the sensory experience of wearing these underwear??? I need to know.

i feel like in my head i have my normal thoughts that reflect who i am and then i also have like a messy comment section of hate comments that constantly disagrees with and criticises everything. and sometimes when i’m emotionally deregulated the hate comments come out of my mouth as if they were my real opinions and then when i face the natural consequences of that happening i feel like “no that wasn’t me who said that tho 😭”

things i do that my family has judged me for because they dont think being neurodivergent is a thing
not eating "right" (if it's not bite sized i will MAKE it bite sized)
not wearing shoes inside my house, walking around barefoot (i just feel more comfortable like this)
not closing closet doors, drawers, doors, etc. (everything just feels more open)
the "can't sit fully in a chair" thing (a leg has to be out or I don't face the table, idk why)
the messy room (I CANT BE ORGANIZED)
the "every available surface WILL be covered in stuff" thing (if it's outta my sight, it's outta my mind)
the forgetting to do basic human functions and stuff (i don't have the time to do things like that when i'm hyperfixtating)
the ranting (i will rant about current hyperfixtations and they HATE it)
not sitting/ standing still (i just cant)
the 3 MILLION hobby thing (i have like 3 million hobbies, my mom doesn't know what to do with me)
the interrupting people while they talk (I AM HATED for this)
the "eating WAY too much sugar thing" (idk why i just do)
not napping (I CANT SLEEP)
there's more but i cant think right now so i'll edit when i think more

My friends already know I’m oblivious, and practically live under a rock, but if they ever found out that I will literally google the meanings of emojis, pop culture references and memes.....

Does anyone ever get stuck watching videos that you’re not really invested in? Like, you should be idk going to wash you teeth so you can go to sleep at a reasonable time but you caaaan’t because the youtube video/netflix show you’ve got on in the background and you just can’t make yourself turn it off or pause it even though you’re not actually watching it and you just. Get stuck. Even though your brain is yelling at you to just pause it or turn it off. For hours.

I wish it was socially acceptable to carry cards around that say stuff like "I'm excited about what I'm saying and I'd really appreciate it if you could reflect this excitement back at me" and "I'm excited about what I'm saying but I'd appreciate critique or feedback at this time". In the heat of the moment its so hard to communicate these two things verbally if I'm excited but there's so many times when I get the "wrong" response to my excitement and it crushes me and whatever I was excited about.
