Give me tomarry au where Tom is obsessed with the boy that saves him. It happens during summer of his second year, when the sky rain downs fire and when little Tom had no idea what was a happening.

It happens when the man with scar grabs him and apparates away to a place he remembers vividly. The cold, dark, and damp place where people were loud. And it was hard to breathe but the man held onto him. The man, who would later walk him back to his orphanage, who would tell him he is sorry.

The man who wore cracked glasses, the man who looked no older than fifteen himself — now that Tom looked at him properly. The boy whose clothes were larger than him — and the way he smiled at Tom (pained, and torn). Tom would remember him. Because how can someone forget those eyes. Those avada eyes that glowed as the sky rained down fire that drowned everything. The scar that looked like thunder.

Tom would remember him disappearing after delivering him to the orphanage. The person who saved him as little Tom nearly died because he didn't know bombs were coming, no one told him (he just returned from Hogwarts).

That day little Tom meets a boy no older than fifteen. That day, little Tom learns about shelters that he can go to and that he regrets not asking for the boy who save his life's name. That day Tom makes a decision that he would find him. Find the person with eyes like trapped thunder and brittle smiles. He would find him and not let him go. Even if it takes him a thousand years to do so.

fondly remembering when someone said to me i should "just stick to drawing men" bc i obviously suck at drawing women like im not some weird agender something with a weird relationship to gender and its performance altogether that has been drawing nothing but either also agender monster creatures or just drawing characters how i want and not actually care what gender they look and if i do draw women 100% intentionally draw them with a more 'masculine' look to them, which in most cases really just means "not a blown out of proportions sex doll" or extremely traditional feminine, and not bc i cant actually draw them however that person imagined women should look

Sonadow being a platonic in love / platonic relationship means sm to me rn its insane. (im aromantic)

Both Sonic and Shadow care about eachother a lot, both have saved eachother lives. Even more recently in S3, Shadow was even comforting Sonic- a soft side we dont see of Shadow toward anyone but Sonic. Both of them are so much more comfterable around eachother too, (the hug where Shadow let Sonic straight up smush his face into him, Shadow reacing out to comfort Sonic many times, the infamous ‘I heart you too Shadow’ etc etc)

And I love how much they care about eachother, and how much they love eachother, but those two would not have a tradtional relationship at all.

Especially Sonic, like the point of his character is free, and him being just so free and he is able to be himself and do his own thing. Shadow feels very similar to him in that way, too. And neither of them would need labels, or have specific relationship things they label as that. Or label themselves as dating or boyfriends.

But I think that they still definitely love eachother, and they care and they spend time together. They would go on races together, or out to just hangout, or spar, or have their jokes with eachother, or comfort eachother and help eachother through things, whatever they would do regularly.

Sonic and Shadow are just Sonic and Shadow, theyd do their own thing and ignore every label ever, and totally break the norms of relationships.

the whole thing starts on thursday, during potions. they're brewing antidotes to moonseed poison, and something in the ingredients sets off lily's allergies. she's sneezing even until they're in the hall on the way to dinner.

in the common room, much later, mary finally says, "lil, i think you should go rest. seems like you caught something."

"ah, no. just allergies. something in potions earlier..." stuffed nose, itchy throat, the beginning of a headache. but she has antihistamines in her trunk upstairs, so she should be fine. she just has to finish this essay. "although i am almost done, so i might actually go ahead soon."

mary looks for a moment like she's going to argue, but the point was to get her to rest. so she concedes and nods.

they don't notice james watching from the fireplace.

sirius does, though. he fishes a forgotten receipt from his pocket, crumples it up, and throws it at him. "at least be subtle about it," he comments.

james glares at him. he returns to his homework for about two seconds tops before looking up to steal another glance. sirius rolls his eyes. "it's just — she's sick," james says defensively. "she must have caught something."

sirius turns to look at lily then. besides the occasional sneezing, and the pink-tipped nose, evident even from this distance and in the predominantly red-orange of the gryffindor common room — lily seems fine. "she said it's just allergies. from potions today."

"no, it's..." james frowns, quill hovering over fresh ink. "never mind."

"what do you think is it then?" sirius asks anyway.

james adjusts his specs, but his eyes stay trained on his rune translation draft. "not allergies," he says simply.

"how do you know?"

he shrugs. "i just do." he's smiling a bit at his parchment; stupidly, like he's thinking of an inside joke.

Somethjng I was entertaining myself with when the update which contained Dracula's long-winded family history speeches arrived is looking at the language he uses to describe his heritage and the various cultures and groups of people he's talking about bc its NOT how someone contemporarily would have talked about those peoples in the middle ages so like obviously the doylian explanation is that Bram Stoker is a white western european anglophone living in the late 1800s and has bought fully into Scientific Racism Vogue but the funnier watsonian explanation is that Dracula did research on how to sound more Modernly Scientifically Racist when discussing things, to make sure he puts his new English friend at ease

3: i would love to get either some untamed fic or some magnus archives fic done this year! i'm terrible at writing for other fandoms, i always start things and then just get drawn back into my stray kids projects hahahaha

8: the hanahaki au lives in my brain all the time. i would absolutely love to be brave enough to write it, but i desperately want to get it right since hanahaki is such a weirdly iconic part of fandom, and i've wanted to wait until i've had a unique perspective on it that i could use in a story.

the general vibe of it is that minho, a hanahaki researcher in a university, starts to fall for chan, a temporary researcher who's only at the university for a year. because he knows chan loves travelling and loves the way his job takes him all over the world, and doesn't really want to be tied down by anything, minho holds his feelings in and resolves to keep them a secret; this is all well and good until the first symptoms of hanahaki begin to make themselves known. half from not wanting chan to know and half from the fascination of experiencing the disease he's studied for years first hand, minho lets it progress until it's almost too late. the idea for this would be to write most of it as a normal fic, with intermittent chapters of minho's notes on his own symptoms and their progression, which one of his friends eventually discovers. it will be so difficult to write, but maybe this is the year i try!

11: i would love to get more into horror (with happy endings of course!) and letting myself be spookier and more weird! i'd also love to do more fairytale-esque things like the river and the rowan tree if i can.
