"visions in red" ; levi/f!reader w/c: 1k; fluff
You remind Levi of a tea set he saw once, back in the underground markets.
It had been made of a fragile, pale pink porcelain, hand painted with roses; with gold patterns running along the mouth like the most delicate of lace. It had stood out on that shelf— amongst all that old, blackened copper and hardy cast iron.
That's what you look like now, holding on to your little brother's hand; wearing a blouse that's precisely that same shade of pink, with your embroidered skirts dangerously close to the filthy floorboards in the stables. Out of place.
"If you're busy, Captain, we can show ourselves around."
Levi looks up from the pristine leather of your boots, and finds himself fixed with the kind of soft smile he imagines people write obsessive poems about. The kind he's seen in paintings.
Pleasant, mysterious, coy; and entirely impersonal. A facade, a shield polished to a shine— for him to project whatever he likes on to it, and that gives nothing of substance away.
"Your father would throw us off his land if one of these beasts bites off the brat's hand. I'll stay."
It's a smile that reminds him of the way the shopkeeper had batted his hand away when he reached out to examine one of those tea cups. Something too exquisite for hands as unrefined as his to be allowed to touch.
Tumblr media
You wear red a lot.
Levi isn't aware there are so many shades of it, until you start coming down to the stables every other day— hand in hand with the little boy— wearing all manner of roses, pinks, and scarlets.
"My father buys them for me," you tell Petra, when she compliments you on a skirt that looks like it's been dipped in grape wine. "Every time he goes to Trost."
You've brought fresh tomatoes from your estate— a thank you to the scouts for entertaining the presence of your brother, who adores their horses; so much larger and stronger than the ones on the nearby fields. He's abandoned the horses though, preferring instead to terrorize Oluo as he tries to nap in the shade of a tree.
Levi thinks it's about as good a use of Oluo's time, as it is his to be eating tomatoes with you and Petra; so he doesn't intervene.
"Should you be sitting in the grass like this?" Petra asks worriedly. "It must be—"
"It's alright. He buys me a lot."
From you, it's a statement of fact; not a subtle way to show off. He imagines not a lot of people can tell. But to him, it's refreshing that you don't tip toe around the fact that you are very, very, lucky; or try to pretend you understand the lives of those who aren't.
As he watches the rivulets of juice flowing down your fingers, and disappearing into your palms, he finds himself wondering if maybe, he can start to think of you when he sees red— the taste of tomatoes and strawberries, the softness of dyed cotton; rather than the iron and salt of blood.
"Would you like another one, Captain?" you ask, when you catch him looking. The smile you're wearing today isn't quite so shiny, now that you're more familiar with him. He likes it better.
He takes in all your reds— your clothes, the stains on your hands, the paint on your lips, the healthy flush on your cheeks— and thinks that he could.
Tumblr media
You're wearing another rose coloured dress on the day you tell him you'll be gone soon. It's sunny and clear skied, and it doesn't help him blame the unease in his stomach on mud being tracked through the kitchens, by careless recruits who took it upon themselves to reclaim their childhoods by jumping in puddles.
"Is he a good man?" It's not the type of question he usually cares about. He doesn't want to know the answer.
You laugh. A shiny one, but it's been polished so thoroughly it's worn through; and he can see what's really there. "I wouldn't know. My father arranged this marriage."
Levi stops feeling uneasy about comparing you to a teacup, an item on a shelf to be picked up and perused, when he realises the horses pulling your family's carriage also wear red saddle blankets, bought and paid for by your father.
"Why can't you say no?" he asks, even though you never told him you wanted to.
You look at him in surprise. "I've... never said no to my father before."
"Being able to say no is a luxury," Levi tells you. "You're no stranger to those. Take advantage of it if you can."
You hum. "Do you think I should?"
"There's no point to it if you just do what I tell you to," Levi scoffs.
There's nothing shiny about the way you gently touch his elbow, and the way you can't meet his eyes. "I mean, do you want me to?"
Tumblr media
The next time he sees you, it's the day you're supposed to leave.
You're wearing white.
You arrive on foot, alone. The bottom of the simple cotton dress is flecked with mud; as if you've trekked here through the two miles of fields between your house and the scouts' current camp.
It isn't refined at all, and even Levi can tell it isn't a wedding dress.
"Captain!" you call to him cheerfully, when you meet him under the tree. The only red he can see on you, is the blush on your cheeks.
You don't look like you're in any kind of hurry, and the brown-paper package in your hands is too messily wrapped to be a parting gift from a nobleman's daughter. "Don't you have somewhere to be?"
"Sure, and I'm here already," you say, with a cheeky smile. "I told him no. My father understands. For now." You unwrap the string around the package, and show him a tin. "Tea leaves. From up North. I think you'll like them."
He reaches out for the tin, but you don't let go once he has his hands on it.
"I was hoping we could brew them together?"
You still remind him of that teacup; delicate and gold laced. But when he sees your hands next to his like this, fingers just short of touching, he thinks he could try reaching out, just to see what happens this time.

Would you mind making a text tutorial for dyeing with onion skin? I want to use up all the skin i collected but i don't trust the tutorials i found so fahr. 😅
Sure ! I don't know how helpful it'll be (I am not the best note taker of all time) but I'll give it a shot.
I don't tend to measure things, so I usually just do all my onion skins (4 or 5 big handfuls) with however much yarn I want to dye (usually around 100 grams, iirc) and end up with saturated colors and lots of extra dye bath. However, a 3 to 1 ratio of wool to onion skin (by weight) should work well.
Put your onion skins in your dyepot with water (I always use yellow, if you use another kind of onion you will get different colors of course). I haven't found the ratio of water to onion skin to matter very much, just make sure you have a lot so that it doesn't all boil off. Bring to a low simmer and let it cook until the skins are almost colorless and the dyebath is richly colored. If the skins are translucent before the dyebath has good color, just keep cooking the dyebath down until it looks good. Typically I end up with a deep red at this point.
Remove the onion skins--I like to strain the dyebath into a large dedicated bowl to remove the skins, but you can also pick them out with tongs.
Mordant your wool. Usually I give mine a copper bath, but the type of mordant you choose should depend on what color you want.
Once the wool is mordanted, return it and the dye bath to your dyepot and gently simmer with a lid until your wool is a good color. This should take several hours, and possibly overnight. For overnight dyeing, it's safest to turn the stove down until it is no longer simmering, and keep a lid on. My way of testing this is to use tongs to lift some wool up, pull off a lock, gently rinse it, and let it dry near the stove for a few minutes. If you've reached the color you want and still have lots of color left in the dyebath, just reserve the dyebath and once it's cool it can be stored in water bottles in a pantry for at least a year (that's how long I've left some dye bottles sitting around, and they worked very well).
Modify your color if you want. Then rinse in water the same temperature as your dyebath until it runs clear. Let dry.
Some colors you can get, depending on mordant (this is all for yellow onion skins specifically, as that is the only type of onion I buy).
With no mordant, or with vinegar: wheat-colored
With baking soda mordant: gold
With iron mordant: greyish green
With copper mordant: olive green
With alum mordant: bright yellow
If overdyeing a light color (in my case it was light brown), you can get a rich brown if mordanted with copper and iron.
Can't wait to see what colors you get :D

So it's my birthday tomorrow.
I thought about sharing my thoughts regarding my aunt and uncles passing, and everything they took with them, but I don't think I will. Here's some memories from them instead.
When I was ten, my sister and I went to the Salina mall, which was dying even back then. The arcade was hopping though, and we found a side-scrolling, 4 player X-men game. It was fun, but we were no good at it. This group of teenage boys came up and I thought they were going to kick us off, but instead they took turns on the other two player slots and carried us through the game. I remember the thrill of it, that very human connection of strangers coming together to overcome a challenge. That this gang of teens looked at us and decided they were gonna help these little girls win the game. I never got their names, and I never saw them again, but I hope the stresses of living in a small midwestern town were not overwhelming to them.
The Flint Hills are some of the most beautiful country I've ever been through. The prevailing thought about Kansas is that it's flat as a board, but that isn't really the case. The hills are low, yes, but they roll like waves on the ocean. There is movement in the land. It's mostly pastureland with some prairie restoration areas. When we went out in the summer for the county fair, it was a million shades of green, dotted with wildflowers and cows. But when we went for Thanksgiving, the land was precious metals; copper, silver, gold, rusted iron. A world of autumn color without the need for trees. The sunset fills the entire sky.
The grass is different in Kansas, from what we have here. In my aunt and uncles lawn, and at their farm, with the lilac bushes where I saw my first swallowtail butterfly. It stays low, and its leaves grow sideways, at angles. They interlock and form a soft cushion that feels very nice to walk on. It's probably invasive; the whole area was big and little bluestem once. That was long before me.
I'll probably never see it again. They were the only reason we ever went out to that town. Now they're gone, and the farm will be sold, and the house I spent so much time in will be sold, and all of these things are behind me now. But tomorrow is my birthday.

Okay so. Here's What Is Written Down. Old, haven't gone over it yet.
-
Magic Weilding Race Who's Native Language is the language their magic is in, so simply saying what they want their magic to do will result in a casted spell.
Their society is widespread. Disguised as small farming villages, the 'churches' in them are actually disguises for secret passage ways to hidden towns in moutains, hidden in valleys, or even underground cities that thrive off of magic for near everything. Valleys usually are surrounded by walls with the illusion of a large dam blocking water instead of walls to a city, and need a special passcode or password to get let in to. The moutains are usually just the precursor to valley towns and are usually so high up or hidden in caves or on a ledge that you can not see them from down below. It is also high up that some people need extra help breathing if not born and used to the high altitudes. Underground civilizations take magic from the rocks and earth, with permission of course.
Money System is in coins the size of a nickle. Tin - 1 dollar. Iron - 5 dollars. Copper - 10 dollars. Silver - 20/25 dollars. Gold - 50 dollars. Often used to bribe to buy stuff, but bartering is still fairly common. (Upon sending this ask. I am American and have no idea on money systems go easy on me.)
There are 5 Power classes, Great Power, Regular Power, Lesser Power, Power-Less, and No Power. That's from most to least. Natural great Power is highly regarded, but modified great Power is seen as trying way too hard. Most people have regular Power, but modified regular Power is not too bad in the eyes of the masses. Lesser Power is usually lower class, and modified is even worse. Power-Less are those who can barely cast a spell, and modified Power-Less are almost as bad as the next. No powers are generally rare and not liked overall due to being 'Lesser'. It is very horrible, but it will be hard to change, unless someone can make something to hide signs of modified power.
There are 3 forms of magic. Speak-Casting/Incantation, Runes, and Staffs.
Incantations are the most common and easy to use as most people speak, and are just spoken words in their language. Say fire normally you get a small campfire, shout it? An inferno, and whisper it for a small flame.
Runes are also used often as protection spells mostly, on Jewels, Somethimes Cloth, and Rarely the Illegal Weapon. They are a very tiny engraving of words in their language, most common being 'safety'. You can pay someone to do this for you for very little if you find the right person. You probably have to do the more common weapons (knifes, daggers, bows and arrows, chains, and spears) on your own. This is most common for those who are mute.
Jewels are again, mostly used for protection. They can be used for most things but again, most common is defense. Runed clothing is also really good gifts, usually accessories, like gloves, hairclips, masks, bracelets, anklets, necklaces, and capes. (Those like hairclips and masks and bracelets/anklets, and necklaces can also have jewels in them) it is also not too uncommon for people to have runed clothing protecting from ice or fire or a number of other things. Outfits are a bit old fashioned, but not too formal. Occasional mask, capes, gloves, tunics, belts, chains, long skirts, wraps for broken wounds instead of bandaids. The works.
Staffs are usually made by those of Lesser Power and Power-Less, but the occasional Regular Power will make one (but could be shunned for it). These are generally made for those of No Power, and are marked as made for them. There also are boost ones for higher powers than No Powers, and design heavily plays into who the staff is for. The more sophisticated they look, the more likelyhood that it's being used by a higher power level.
Weapons are largely illegal, as there is no overall stop spell for attacks. You have to be ready, it's very hard to prepare for them if you don't know it is coming. Still, they are used quite commonly, just in secret. The most common ones are knifes, daggers, bows and arrows, chains, and spears. These are more likely to be seen, and some even disguise spears as staffs.
Appearance of this race is quite widespread but there is one thing in bounds. All eyes are mostly some shade of Red, Pink, or Purple. On occasion someone might be born with Blue eyes but this is very rare and seen as a bit weird. You are very unlikely to find someone in the middle height range, as you either have short or taller/tall. (4'10 - 5'3) / (5'9 - 6'4/6'7). Most of the Casters also have broad shoulders, aside from that, most things are just up to chance and genes. Hair from Blonde, Brown, Black, and dyes exist and can be made permanent or even genetic with magic, so Blue, Green, Purple, Pink, etc. As well. Skin color is the same but most decide on natural colors in case they (this very rarely happens) leave their town for a non-caster one, so they don't scare anyone or get called 'monsters'.
Some people don't like casters and occasionally some will call them 'Cassies' which yes is defined as a slur and is very discrimatory to casters. Most will not do anything about it as Casters aren't much in the favor of people for being magical and secretive of their magic and society.

Don't remember writing much of this but enjoy i guess ;-;

MUDWINGS
Tumblr media
Description:
Mudwings are generally very big and large dragons, regarded as one of the tallest tribe. They have hard plated scales, hard claws, spikes and horns that can adopt many shapes, most commonly reassembling bulls or Ox's horns, they have big floppy ears and small tuskes.
They can be any shade of brown or tan, even greenish ones, the most common type of marking are freckles, shades and sploches.
Their eyes can go from Oranges to Blues, passing by browns and greens. Fireproof mudwings always have red eyes.
Abilities:
Can breath fire with warm enough
Can hold their breath for 1 hour maximum
Good swimmers
Good runners
Special Abilities:
Dragons born from blood colored eggs can resist fire, usually if their's one blood colored egg the rest of the brood will be too, fairly uncommon but not rare. Blood-blessed dragons (as they are also called) however are more sensible to cold then their non-blessed friends.
Customs:
Mudwings name themselves, usually named after vegetation, trees, animals or places linked to their environment. It's fairly common for Siblings to have similar names or being named after similar things (ex: Bullfrog, Toad and Tadpole)
Mudwings don't raise their children, the sibling group do it themselves for the most part, education however, such as learning a specific job, army training and less instinct-driven stuff is handled by the community. Contrary to popular belief, there's little to no in-breeding since family trees are kept in check.
Romance is not a big part of the Mudwing culture, and there's no ceremony or such things, the culturally preferred love language is quality time. And the biggest honor a dragon can do to their partners is to introduce them to their sibling group. When two dragon want to live together, they merge living spaces, sibling groups merging together, it's frowned upon for two siblings to date dragons from the same sibling group however, it's kinda seen as secondhand incest. In times of war, there's a breeding program being held every semester, however, it is not the norm and is kinda similar to the skywing program. Outside times of war dragons just have to write a letter to the administration to look at the family tree and tell them if they can try.
Commonly kept pet are crocodiles and alligators, there's also cows, bulls and porks but they tend to be kept more as livestock, pets are considered pets of the entire sibling group and not just one dragon.
There's little to no jewelry, not with jewels anyway, the metal used are Gold, Copper or Iron, some jewelry articles are carved into stones or wood, flower/herb crowns are also common along side masks and armor made of animal bones.
They are known for their nutritious cooking, their imposing sculptures, and their style of dancing based on fight moves and co-ordination with their group. Their pictural style is mostly simple, made out of Figures, hearthy colors such as greens and browns with details painted in gold or copper
Tumblr media
Royalty:
Unlike many other tribe, Mudwings Queens don't usually fight to the death to earn their crown, it happens quite rarely actually. The Queen becomes one at the age of 15, it's the eldest female of the royal sibling group that becomes the queen, usually the big wing. The old queen trying to keep the crown is mostly frowned upon. After the new queen is crowded, the old one, along with her troop, is allowed to stay in the palace as nobles.
The power is shared between a Queen, her partner and their siblings, each siblings being given a role (royal treasurer, diplomat, ect ect) along side a part of the kingdom to reign over (still obeying the queen though) the siblings are generally not allowed to have dragonnets but in the cases where the queen allows it, they won't have any power, and while marked in the royal family tree they won't be considered heirs to the throne (outside of dire circumstances)
The main leader is called a Queen or a Monarch, their second title include "Mother of the Tribe", the Queen's partner, is usually a Hight-Ranking military dragon, is either called a King, Queen or Crown, the male siblings of the Queen or King are called Dukes, the females Duchesses and those outside the binary usually use the name Dukess. The female heirs are called Princess, the male Princes and the other are called Princet.

An IMie question!!
What Pokemon would everyone have? Like- Would Lux has Dark types? Would Red have Fire types? :0?
Oh! this is such a good question! I only know basic Pokémons so excuse my lack of knowledge on Pokémon. I'll just base this on the vibes I feel like they would have and just on looks. I was a Bakugon type girlie💖
I got my main source right here
You're totally correct on RED having a fire type of Pokémon because he is in a way a fire demon! I could defiantly see him working well with a Arcanine. Idk it just seems like a very powerful Pokemon to work with. One because look at this little guy he's got fabulous hair just like Red.
Tumblr media
For LUX I would say he would get along most with Feraligatr. I mean look at this guy I love this little stinker right here. And because Lux is a water demon I believe he would be most suited to have a Feraligatr. Besides I would always imagine a intimidating stance Lux would take would be something 100% like this!
Tumblr media
CON defiantly has a steel Pokémon. One that is just as creepy and as intimidating as a Steelix. Because Con works with a lot of metals and steels (this can also be incorporated with other material such as iron and copper, silver and gold; it would no brainer to have him be with this creepy 'lil worm. They both smile with their teeth too and both are uncanny.
Tumblr media
KARMA has a snake like Pokemon idc how unoriginal it is snakes just vibe with him despite his fear and distaste for them. But snakes always seems to slither their way towards him no matter what he does and he's a big scary snake man thing so of course I would choose a Serperior. They look like they can be menacing and snotty together.
Tumblr media
EGO has a Psyduck, I don't know why but this is solely based on vibes and attitudes. They're both cute, they're both in a way clumsy, and dammit I just want these two to be buddies I don't care how but I'll make it happen. If Ego was born around the time Pokémon became a thing hands down he would love Psyduck he doesn’t care if he's the most powerful he's just here to have a great time.
Tumblr media
LADY LUCK has a fairy Rapidash. Lady Luck (my version at least) is a softie and in her old life she definitely would have wanted a pony when she was younger so I think this would satisfy her childhood dreams. I also think that this thing might actually kill me and normal Rapidash scares me but this thing.....gives me nightmares. Lady Luck is exactly that. She seems sweet and alluring but them bang you're fucking dead. So for looks I would say this fairy Rapidash for Lady Luck.
Tumblr media
Thank you for the ask! hope this answers your question!

2024 is hereeee!
With 2024 not being an impossible date that is light-years away and being something that it out of the comprehension of my ludicrously capacious brain, comes the common sentiments of a new year for me. Self reflection, yes, but also something else. Something stronger. Stronger than any addictive substance. Hate. Burning. Searing. Ugly hate. Now, most would think that my hate is one that is unproductive, one of jealousy, one that is unwarranted and doesn't have any sound basis in reality. Good news to my imaginary haters though: my hate is actually very productive and gets things done. Try to clock that. Anyways, my hate is for things that happened in 2023 that made no sense at all. Some (if not most) of these things have even persisted over the years and 2024 is where I say enough. I've had it, and you know, my measly opinion matters most out of the nearly 8 billion people on this planet and I expect the universe to see this post and put a cease to every action or object or person that I consider an 'out' and place everything that is an 'in' on my doorstep. Or... dorm-step... considering I have to go back... to my college... ;-;. Yes, you read the subtext of that last long sentence right, this is post is my in and outs list for 2024 and I'm showing off my mood-board for the new year and yes, this unserious and fun subject did require a long introduction of course, I'm a writer! Let me be unnecessary and unsettling in peace!

Most of the time, I kind of like Hodari. He's not exactly what I'd enjoy in a father figure, but I can tell he's trying.
But then there are days like this one, where I wonder what actually happened.
So, Hodari knows Naj and I are pretty close (Seriously. Smartest kid ever. I don't understand half of what she says, but I learn new stuff every time we chat.), and he apparently really messed up a conversation of his own and came to see if maybe she'd talk to me instead.
And you know, I was feeling sympathetic until I learned he'd asked Najuma where some dynamite went. And I wonder if he asked, or really accused her.
A master of his emotions, this one is not. I wish his wife was still around to whack some sense into him, because good grief.
But I told him I'd see what I could do, then went and sat down with Naj for a while. She was pretty upset when I asked her about it, but when I reiterated that I wasn't accusing her, she calmed down a bit. And honestly, she made a good point; why the heck would she need to steal dynamite? She can make the stuff!
Literally. The ingredients are right there in their workshop. She showed me.
So that begs the question of who did steal the dynamite. We haven't figured that out yet, but after chasing down Kenli to get a key to the one mineshaft that got closed down ages ago (I have a picture of it farther back, and yep. I was right about why it was closed down), I actually found the stuff at the end of the cave.
When I told Hodari where I found it, I swear, he looked like he was going to faint. So clearly I was very right about what that place is, and this idiot needs to talk to Chayne about all these bottled up feelings and grief and stuff. His knee-jerk reactions are going to make it so that when Naj grows up more, she just flat out leaves, and then where's he gonna be?
But at least this particular spat is over. He pulled his head out of his ass, and Najuma forgave him (she's a sweet kid like that.), and he also gave me a gold bar and a silver bar.
I still haven't found a use for the gold, but I keep hoarding it. I suspect it'll turn up eventually in something.... That said, the ore is really hard to find, stuck with either iron or copper like it is. So maybe it's just a lucky find, who knows?
Jel has mostly forgiven me for the cream, but he got his revenge, the sneak.
Tumblr media
I told him I wanted to buy two, so he bought me the other one, and I just know he did that in revenge. The brat.
But now I have two pretty springblossom vases, so I'm pretty happy with the whole thing. The market's going to be up for a while, so maybe I'll get another bloom lantern, or another basket so the palcats stop fighting over the one in my room.
It can be funny, but I'm worried they'll knock my stuff off the cabinets, because naturally they get the zoomies right after someone else steals the basket...
Bah.
Oop, there's my boys. We're trying out a trio date tonight! Hopefully this works out well!
...I mean, I may also end up a pile of mush if they both say squishy things at me, but like... I'm not going to complain.

-January 22nd, Factory Tyrant's Journal, Entry 23-
I need to go mining for more certus quartz today, but before that I'm going to make an enchanting setup so I can hopefully get a fortune pickaxe.
I don't have a good way to get leather at the moment, but hopefully I can get enough books by looting the ghost town's library.
The ghost town actually has 2 libraries (one of them is embedded in a hill, so I had to break a window), but I didn't quite get enough books from that so I had to go kill some cows.
Anyway, enchanting setup is done, it's just a vanilla enchanting setup so it's not that interesting.
What I think is more worth noting is the new enchantments TCR adds, like smelting (autosmelts mined items), insight (gain more exp while holding the tool), soulbound (item stays in your inventory after death), and multishot (bows shoot multiple arrows while only consuming 1, not to be confused with vanilla 1.14 multishot).
I won't be using any new enchantments today, just fortune III on a diamond pickaxe, which I'll use exclusively for fortunable ores, since I don't have mending.
Anyway, I need to go mining.
That mining trip resulted in 47 certus quartz, but I also got 1 stack plus 8 iron ore, 8 gold ore, 6 tin ore, 34 silver ore, 43 lead ore, 13 nickel ore, 1 cinnabar ore, 5 uranium ore, 7 stacks plus 12 coal, 1 stack plus 10 lapis, 9 stacks plus 25 redstone, 5 nether quartz, 10 diamonds, 29 emeralds, 4 stacks plus 58 electrotine, 2 stacks plus 4 sulfur, 6 rare earths, 14 tanzanite, 16 entropy crystals, 26 water crystals, 30 earth crystals, and 34 fire crystals.
I've also found that certus quartz tends to generate less frequently deeper in the world, and at a certain point it just doesn't generate.
It may be worth it to start mining somewhere around Y level 30-40 instead of Y level 11.
47 certus quartz probably won't last me very long, so I'm going to run around checking surface caves for more.
That mining trip resulted in 29 certus quartz and 21 charged quartz, but since I was mining other stuff I found too it also resulted in 1 stack plus 62 iron ore, 6 stacks plus 54 copper ore, 38 tin ore, 3 cinnabar ore, 9 uranium ore, 4 stacks plus 55 coal, 1 stack plus 30 amber, 9 preserved curiosities, 21 nether quartz, 15 order crystals, 22 fire crystals, 1 stack plus 10 entropy crystals, 1 stack plus 15 earth crystals, and 2 stacks plus 3 air crystals.
The only reason I got almost 6 stacks of copper ore from that was because apparently TCR allows Railcraft copper ore to generate.
Normally if multiple mods add the same ore, TCR will only allow 1 mod to actually generate that specific ore (usually Thermal Foundation), that way your inventory doesn't get cluttered with 3-4 different kinds of copper ore that don't stack with each other.
The main difference with Railcraft copper ore is that, while it's a lot harder to find, once you do find it you find a lot of it, kinda like giant copper/iron veins in vanilla 1.18.
The reason I didn't get any more copper than I did was because at a certain point I just decided that I have enough copper and stopped mining it, but I know where to look if I need more.

Ngl i love what they did with the iron, gold and copper ores
It feels different to what it was until this point yes but it makes a lot of sense? And it looks really pretty to

Gems OC - The Ore Trio
Gold, Iron and Copper
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They was gems that loved the gem empiry and revolted before Steven finished every tyranny of the Diamonds. So they team up because they had the same thoughs. They are bullys that poff gems for fun and use heavy armor pieces to look like a gang. Gold is too much strong, more than Jasper, but she is bit slow. Iron is very fast and agile with swords and weapons, and copper can remove parts of anything and throw away with her mind. If it should be a season of SU, Steven and the gems could try redempt each one to be good. They supposed to be small groups of peoples with evil thougs like the ones that exist in real life.
The purpose of each type of gem in homeworld is:
Gold: Destroy old gem builds that don't have more purpose.
Iron: Upgrade Bismuth weapons to more sharp and good than Bismuths can make.
Copper: Fix Big and Confusing gem tecnologies with errors and bugs.

big soft boy. if a cup of spicy hot chocolate was a massive apex predator/ obligate carnivore.
mikely stabbed him the first time they met and he fell in love Instantly.
an excerpt:
Death crept through the lavish halls of a rich man's home. Old cracked paint flaked beside sun faded tapestries and over well worn wood floors. The raged leather soles of of his boots softly thumping along with the creaking of old wood that accompanied his every step. He found the room easily, following the sound of a fading cough and short not quite gasping breaths that failed to draw enough air.
He ducked through the door and the dying man greeted him with age hazed eyes and a broad grin.
"Copper!" his exclamation carried joy even if his lungs couldn't support more than a creaking whisper, "Bastard, it's so good to see you again," he stopped to catch his breath, his eyes closing as he did so,
"And you as well," Copper returned the smile as he sat in the chair beside the bed, "But to be honest I'm a touch surprised, both that you can see anything through those cataracts, and that you would… Appreciate my presence,"
The rich man chuckled, "Not many people have hair that color, even fewer are as tall as you. I may not be able to see much, but I can still see that,"
"I suppose you're right," Copper huffs with a hand going to his dark red mess of a mane "Still, you must remember the terms of our deal and what my presence means for you now?"
"I do," he nods, "I'm going to die tonight, going to see Min again,"
"Min?"
"My wife," he smiles as he speaks of her even as his words become more labored, "That quill you gave me, I wrote a letter to the girl I had fallen in love with when we were young. I didn't know she couldn't read, so she had to get someone else to read it to her, but when she'd heard what I wrote she came all the way into the valley to slap me and call me an idiot," he laughs, "Told me we should've eloped when we were both still fresh, before she'd found another man to call her own,
I'd not even thought that she'd have gone on like that. It made sense, she could have, and did, do so much better than me. But luck of lucks saw that husband of hers dead not long after. I felt bad for being so happy, but I couldn't stop smiling when she and I married,
That quill- You, gave me the happiest life I could have imagined. I'm glad to pay my end of the deal now, because it means I get to see her again,"
"It's a rare treat to find someone with no regrets, thank you for your story," Copper smiles softly, genuine and warm,
"Oh, I've got regrets," the rich man say "Many, but I don't care to dwell on them, not now… or… Well, one, there's one,"
"Hmm?"
"Min and I, we had a fight right before… She was so mad at me last time I saw her. Do you think she still is?"
"I don't know, but you will have plenty of time to make it up to her soon,"
"Yeah, yeah that's true… It's close now is it?"
"Moments if I had to guess," Copper shrugs, "The clot in your lung is migrating and will soon block off blood flow to the area completely. After that happens you won't be able to get enough air and will… fall asleep, then you will suffocate over a few minutes. It won't be the most pleasant of deaths, but it won't hurt badly," he simplified things greatly, not caring for the slight inaccuracies so long as they helped keep the rich man calm and peaceful in these final moments.
"Any final requests?" Copper cocks his head,
"I think… yeah, I think I want to be alone for this. Thank you,"
"Of course. Rest well then, and may your sleep bring great growth" Copper stood from his seat, the blessing leaving him without thought as the rich man closed his eyes a smile still tugging on his old, withered face.
The door to the rich man's room shut with a light thud as Copper drifted down the halls, a heavy sigh falling from his lips. He rarely visited the dying, usually he only came to the deceased caught between their death's and their afterlives to guide them across, and this was why. He knew where the clot was, it would only take a moment and a little bit of concentration to break it up enough that the rich man's body would be able to handle it on it's own. Sure, doing so would probably only buy him a few more bed bound days, a week maybe, but healers can rarely be trusted to leave the sick and dying to the whims of nature and he was no different.
He wandered through the empty halls decorated with treasures that, do to a single deal made half a century ago, would soon be his, and found his way into a shrine room. Shelves upon shelves of precious jewls and metals, fine fabrics and sculptures filled the room. Though the alter beneath the stained glass window held only sea glass and shells that glittered from around a poorly made tapestry that depicted a stormy ocean.
The threads were too loose in some places too tight in others and there were places where it was clear the weaver ran out of one color and had attempted to dye more only for it to come out just wrong enough to be noticed. It was clearly made by inexperienced hands and now stood displayed still in it's loom in the place of honor on this shrine. Pride in its existence radiated from it and that made it stunning despite it's flaws.
Distantly, he felt the rich man die, quietly and peacefully.
One of Copper's aspects would guide him across and later while Copper slept he'd dream of the conversation that aspect and the rich man would have, and he would dream of the conversations his other, near innumerable, aspects would have, and have had, and have been having with every other human who has crossed into his domain since he last slept. Then he would wake, and forget almost everything said during those conversations as they meld together into a messy but beautiful tapestry. All the threads visible and traceable in their places but ultimately he saw it not for the individuals, but the grander thing they made together.
He picked at the stones and shells scattered on one of the shelves, his dulled claws scraping against the rough surface. He should probably go find someone to deal with the body…
The soft creaking protest of a floor board that no longer fit in it's place being tread on called from behind him. Copper turned, curious to who or what would be intruding on this moment, but he was left slack jawed with a greeting trapped behind his lips as he saw the man.
Surrounded by gold and silver and precious gems that glittered in the low moonlight that flowed through the windows, this man outshone them all. He was tall for a human, coming up to just below Copper's collar bones, with broad, strong looking shoulders. His sharp features highlighted by the silver light caressing his warm tan skin and haloed by that same light echoing through the broken strands of bleach blonde hair that fell from his neat bun to frame his narrow face.
Light agitation turned to wonder and awesrrucked silence as Copper struggled for a second to find words, but once again those words died when he met the man's eyes, they were probably a deep brown but the low light turned them onyx. His gaze was sturdy, not cold or calculating, not bored. Determined but practiced.
The strange, beutiful, human man wore the expression of a butcher or a slaughterer, he did not draw perverse pleasure or joy from what came next. He was so obviously merely doing a job as he moved faster than Copper's confusion addled mind could react to that that alone struck more fear into Copper's core than if the man were hissing and snapping with rage.
The ice hot cut of an iron blade dug past the flesh between his ribs and into his chest even as he recoiled. On pure instinct he growled an awful rumbling sound that made the butcher- the hunter, flinch as Copper managed to stumble away, nearly falling to one knee as his own lung struggled to inflate. He could feel his magic burning along the wound as it tried, and failed to pull it closed. His hand going to his bloodied side in a vain attempt of staunching the flow.
The hunter advanced, cautious and silent, his blade, slicked with Copper's own viscous black blood, raised as he followed the retreating god.
Copper hissed as his back collided with a shelf, cornered he pulled his attentions together just enough to attempt to teleport away, only to feel his magic jolt painfully within him as it failed completely.
The hunter advanced, already readying another swing.
In that moment Copper forced himself to focus on the warm summer night air, on the flickering candles and the heat of the hunter's body, most seals could be overpowered, he just needs to rush it hard enough.
Heat leaves the room, the hunter stumbles with a pained gasp as the heat leaves him too. Copper doesn't see if the hunter falls because the seal gives as he uses all of that stolen energy to burst against it.
He drops to his knees on the cold stone floor of the cave he calls home. His blood singing through magic seared veins, his hands shaking as he braces one against the floor below him as his world swims, both from blood loss and the disorientation that always came with pushing his power that hard,
He struggles with his wound, gasping with effort as his magic finally starts working again. The wound tieing itself closed beneath his palm, a thick black scar forming as he comes down from the mountain top high of fearing for his life for the very first time since before the advent of this universe.
Copper slumps against the water-carved wall of his home, his head falling back against it with a deep buzz running beneath his skin, and he Laughs, deep and hearty and Alive in a way he has not felt in centuries.
---
A day passed, and Copper's wound still ached every time he bent wrong, sending a pang through his chest as his heart picked up at the memory that accompanied it. Truly, he could only go a few moments without thinking of the death dealing adonis that had, very litteraly, struck him to his very heart. He needed to find the man again, to see if a second meeting would make his blood race the way the first had.
Perhaps he would even find out why he'd been attacked, but if Copper was being honest with himself, he didn't care to know. The Hunter was a mystery, and like many mysteries, he was one that could be enjoyed as is, and did not need unraveling quite yet. Still, Copper couldn't wait around for fate to bless him with a second chance meeting. He needed to find The Hunter on his own, and that meant doing a little investigating.
The moment Copper had had time to rest he laid in his bed and let his consciousness drift to the aspect that could interact with the grand tapestry. The Hunter had not hesitated for even a moment, had not flinched at spilling blood, and so there was no denying that he was experienced. That, perhaps, killing was something that either came easy to him or that he was very well practiced in the art of it.
The hunter was young, maybe mid twenties to early thirties, which narrowed his search, and the location narrowed it further. That valley was a hard month long trek through ice capped mountains from the next nearest settlement. The Hunter probably lived and prowled within its confines.
Copper focused on the last ten years worth of threads from that area that ended in white knots, the tragic, violent deaths. This would be where he found what he would need.
Going by date he gently tugged the ends through the weave so that he could examine them closer. He was careful to not pull anything more than an hours worth at a time, dreading upsetting the careful balance of the fabric and the places of the souls that he examined within it. It took a few tries, a few years worth of deaths until he found the first one that he could catch a glimpse of The Hunter from.
And oh how Copper dreaded what he saw. Five years before he'd met the man, an older boy, maybe sixteen with sharp, fearful and wild, onyx eyes and short, jagged ink black hair cried with blood stained hands, one still holding a blade, the same one Copper would become familiar with, it was still slick with the red of human blood as the boy stumbled back against the wall as the man he'd just killed gasped his last breath.
Copper found the conversation he'd had with that spirit, a man who'd heard screaming from within a home. He'd gone to help only to be found by the Chief's boy before he could find the source of the screams. Copper had reassured him, had praised him for his bravery, had not paid enough attention. He'd guided the kind man to his afterlife while the chief's boy who would become The Hunter silently wept beside the man's body, struggling against the tears as someone called out for him.
Tucking the tread back into place with one hand and pulling another free with the other. He grimaced when he realized it was merely a visitor's thread. Someone from Copper's own home universe who'd come into this one for one reason or another only to find their end here.
The visitor's soul had not been theirs to keep stored away amongst those of their creations and so had already been returned home. Where it would have dissipated into the background energy to eventually become the fuel for something new. No life was stored in this thread, it was merely a place holder.
Copper found more threads like that in his search, nearly twenty pale threads all from the last few years lined side by side. Tragic human deaths surrounding them but none of those human deaths involved The Hunter. That was odd, very few places in his tapestry looked so strange and knotted, and most patches that did were of wars and disasters not… whatever this was.
If he had been tangible in that moment he would've been nipping at his claws as he tried to piece together what something so strange could mean. But no answers came to him.
He found the next, and most recent, human victim of The Hunter, a man now, still too young, but undeniably a man by Copper's math, cold and stoney eyed, tangled bleached hair and a badly bruised and swelling jaw. Copper would have been surprised if The Hunter didn't have a few cracked or missing teeth from the injury, the mandible itself might be broken, a serious wound that needs setting and cleaning imeaditly. Copper's mind supplied him with the diagnosis without him meaning to think of it, so focused was he on that wrecked face and the lack of answers it presented that his mind tried to give him what few answers it could, even if those answers were worthless.
The woman The Hunter had killed had sat silent and glaring at The Hunter who silently watched her die,  his blade dripping with her blood. She'd not spoken a word to Copper. Fuming as she stormed through the gate without any guidance from him.
He wished he had insisted on actually speaking to her, on finding the answers. The iron eyed Hunter was a far cry from that sobbing boy, and yet they shared a thread.
More visitors, more tragedy, and no more answers came from the grand tapestry.
He needed to return to that valley, surely if tragedy struck this often they'd welcome a healer? Even if they didn't, the Oracle made her home at the very center, and while Copper tried to avoid his sister's emissaries, The Oracle would be able to tell him what he needed if all else failed. Besides, her daughter was such a cute little thing, it would be a joy to hold a chubby baby again. Would the daughter still be a baby? maybe she was toddling about already, having her first little prophecies as she explored the world she would be entrusted to protect.
Oh Copper couldn't wait to visit.

Hey guys, umm here is the twelfth chapter. I had answered an ask today and it made me remember to put this up, I'll hopefully put the rest up this week, but enjoy!
(Blue's pov)
This is taking forever.
I impatiently drum my fingers on my thighs, I've been sitting here in this very uncomfortable chair in the waiting room of the medical wing.
For some reason, it's been unusually packed with a bunch of different cracked gems. This is of course very, very, concerning, but I can't do anything about it until after my stupid appointment.
Which I apparently can't miss for the damn world! I groan and lean my head against the back of the chair. I glance over at an empty chair where Yellow would be.
She is once again off planet, this time, she took White with her to investigate what's or who's been cracking and almost shattering all these gems.
I asked her if I could come with her, cause most of the gems that have been badly damaged are from one of my old colonies and court. But she very quickly shut that down.
I highly suspect that it is the work of a somewhat large rebellion that's been going on, but if I try to talk to any of the cracked gems, they either have no memory of what happened or they just poof themselves over and over again from the sheer memory of what happened to them.
So the only information we've gotten is that it's been happening on one of my colonies. I nervously run my hand through my brushed, soft, hair.
I let out a soft gasp as one of the little gemlings kick me, I look down at my baby bump, I smirk as I lightly make circles on it with my nail.
"You're impatient too, aren't you" I coo "hopefully just a few more minutes, then I get to see your colors" I look up at the clock behind the little receptions desk "and I should ask the medical pearl if we can take any pictures..." I mutter to myself.
Finally, a few more minutes go by and the medical pearl calls me to a different room.
The new room has dark blue walls, grey tiled floors, and one big metal table and no waiting chairs, it also has the scanner, waiting to be used.
I carefully push myself onto the cold table and lie down, I groan as soon as my stiff back hits the table. The small green medical pearl climbs onto the table, I effortlessly phase away part of my dress so my baby belly can be scanned.
The small pearl tucks away a strand of her green hair behind her ear as she climbs onto me. She empties an entire bottle of freezing cold gel and tosses the bottle on the ground.
The little gem hops off of me and runs to grab the scanner. "Hey, umm I have a question" I softly shift on the table.
"Hmm?" The medical pearl replies as she tries to untangle the wire.
"Don't you need to angle the screen or something? So you know, I can see the gemlings?" I ask.
"What? Oh yes" the pearl's soft voice floats through the almost empty room. She grabs the side of the scanner and turns it towards me "is that better?"
I simply nod. The medical pearl finally untangles the scanner wires and climbs back onto me. She spreads the gel around with her hand before she uses the scanner.
I shiver from the still very cold gel, the screen part starts to make a noise so my eyes instantly snap towards the screen.
To my amazement, both gemlimgs are surprisingly large, since the screen is almost black and white, I can barely see a hint of color on both of them. The larger of the two is a very light shade of blue with a hint of green, and the smaller one is a dark shade of green with splotches of very light green.
I slightly frown when I look at the second gemling. She...she shouldn't be two different colors. Puzzled, I stare at the small pearl, looking for answers.
She shakily meets my eyes, "I-I'm sorry Blue Diamond, I've never seen this happen before" she tucks a few strands of her mossy green hair behind her ear "I'm going a-assuming that, when your two gemlimgs combined, their colors merged?"
"I'm not too sure, but congratulations, you still have fairly healthy gemlings, and you know what colors they are so planning their room shouldn't be a problem," and with that done, the small medical pearl quickly leaves the room before I can even get a word out.
I scoff, what an unprofessional pearl. I push myself up and immediately phase the rest of my dress on. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about her.
I gently and slowly slide off the metal table, once-off I immediately head for the door. I wrap the veil that I brought with me tightly around me. I waste no time walking to my room, not even bothering to say hello to anyone.
As soon as those big doors behind me close, I unwrap the dark blue veil and throw it on the carpet. I quickly summon a floating blue screen and I hurriedly send Yellow and White a message about the gemlings and what little the pearl said.
I smack my head with my hand, I completely forgot to ask the pearl is it is possible to send some pictures to Yellow and White. Oh well...
As soon as that's done, I lightly toss myself onto my very soft bed. I bury myself under the velvety blue sheets, I sigh and close my eyes.
"Next week will be somewhat exciting, cause next week Yellow will finally let us go off-planet alone!" I exclaim to no one but myself and the gemlings.
I trace large circles on my baby belly, they become smaller and slower as I unexpectedly fall asleep.
(The next week)
I let out a bored sigh as I scroll through what seems like endless reports, more than half of them are bull-shit excuses for "reports", telling me that I'm "sooo" lucky that I'm having gemlings. Usually, Blue Pearl and a few other gems help manage the reports that come flooding in, but a lot of congratulations still manage to pass through...
But nevertheless, I must read most of them, and I suspect that Blue Pearl and the other gems allow so many of the stupid "reports" as a means to cheer me up.  But I don't need a constant reminder that I have a due date (or a death date as I once called it).
"Pearl, Pyrobes," they boredly glance at me "You all are dismissed. Feel free to take the rotation off" I dismiss them, they nod and quietly leave me alone with my thoughts.
I glumly look out the window to my left, and for miles upon miles all I see are beautiful blue trees with gold leaves with blooming purple flowers.
I look back at my screen and ignore all the reports, I decide to pull up a very old report about this planet.
Planetoid name: Planet 2064 (aka The Oasis)
Location: Around one thousand light-years away from homeworld
Abandoned: Yes
Reason for abandonment (skip over if it was successful): no more materials, to many organics, and large mountains will randomly produce a green liquid that can melt anything
Water coverage: 22% water 78% land
Organics (skip over if none have been found): a lot of organic plants, and a lot of unintelligent flying organics that can breathe water
Diamond ownership: Blue Diamond
How many moons: Three, one with organic plants, and two are mainly just water
Most materials: Silicon, iron, copper, and other minerals. Used to be good for making lapis lazulis and possibly sapphires
Notes: My diamond, the peridots have said that we are running low on materials and the huge mountains that are scattered across the land are filled to the brim with a slimy green liquid that can melt anything, even gems! (But somehow the organics that walk or fly this planet seem to be immune to the liquid so, I and a few others have managed to capture a few to study). So, we have left this planet and await your orders.
-Calcite cut 9l3
I get a random urge to quickly dismiss the screen and get up from my throne, I slam my hand on the panel that opens the doors in front of me. I am greeted by three flights of stairs. I shuffle carefully down the stairs, trying not to slip on my good dress or anything else.
Once i'm on the ground floor I spot Pearl sitting in a chair sketching. "Pearl" I call her name, she slowly looks up at me "I'm going out for a short walk, message me if there are any real emergencies" she silently nods as I open the blue doors in front of me.
I haven't even taken a step outside and I'm already drenched in sweat from how humid the dense jungle is. I let out a slight groan as I put my long light blue hair into a ponytail.
I shift my dress to make it looser then before and I end it just below my knees. I finally start my walk into the muggy jungle, I cautiously make sure that I don't step on any little organics that might be around and so I don't trip on any of the roots of the blue trees.
I could very easily walk around the entire moon in about a few cycles, the moon itself is rather small but with it's very dense (but pretty) jungles, it'd probably take me about a rotation to actually do it. I continue to go deeper and deeper into the jungle, I stop when I come across a small river.
I carefully maneuver my way onto the river bed. The water is an unusually dark shade of blue with very reflective rocks at the bottom.
I stay there for a few minutes until a twig snaps behind me, I whip my head around to where the noise came from. I quickly scramble I onto my feet, my hand hovers over my gem, itching to summon my weapon.
A few seconds go by as anxiety seeps into me, this time the noise of some foliage being moved makes me quickly summon my weapon and turn my entire body towards the second noise.
"Hello?" I nervously call out. I get into a defensive position with my long, blue, scythe. This time it only has one deadly sharp watery blade, but at the end of the long handle is a short little knife.
No one answers, so I lower my defensive position but not my guard. The jungle gets eerily quiet, but the running water seems to be drowning out any other noises.
I slowly turn to face the creek, my nerves are still going crazy, screaming at me that I should run away or do something that isn't just standing there.
And then it all happens very quickly, the second my eyes move down to the small stream a gem lunges at me, but I easily slice it in half.
As soon as it poofs more gems come out of the surrounding trees and bushes. Most I recognize as old quartzes and agates that used to serve me and the other diamonds, they quickly surround me but I slice through a line of them. But more seem to pour out of the forest.
I sigh, as I know that this isn't going to go well for any of us.
"What do you want from me?"  I cry. Many of them pull out their weapons, most have swords or whips, while the ones in the far back have bows.
"Isn't it obvious?" A fairly large four-armed gem steps out from the crowd. She has three eyes, one black and two blue. Her long curly, black and baby blue, hair stops right at her waist.
On her chest is a gem that resembles a sapphire, but the colors are all wrong. Instead of the gorgeous blue it would probably be, it has stripes of black in it. And on her left forearm is another gen, but it resembles a black jasper with stripes of blue in it. And her outfit is a mixture of the old quartz uniforms with a blue diamond on it and a mixture of the sapphire's dress, giving them a short striped skirt.
"N-no. Not really" I try to mask my ever-growing fear.
"Well, then, allow me to explain" the Jasper and Sapphire fusion draws her own weapon, which probably hasn't changed besides the color. Out of the jasper's gem, they pull out a long spikey whip.
"Me and my, heh, friends here" she gestures to the other gems that surrounds me "have decided to riot, or better yet! We've decided to start our own little rebellion!"
"Although it's not very small" she adds as she scratches her chin.
I can feel sweat beads roll down my face, also my gut feels like it's about to send up my breakfast. I take a deep breath in, trying to calm my nerves, but the fusion seemed to notice.
She laughs an evil, wicked, and empty laugh. "Are you, the great, all-powerful, lustrous, Blue Diamond scared?" The fusion smirks "I hope you understand that I'm not going to hurt you" she pauses, then smiles again "well, let me backtrack on that, I'm not going to poof you"
I grip my scythe even tighter then before, waiting for someone to move. "You know I can slice through all of you, like cake" I grit through my teeth
"I'm not sure what cake is, but I seriously doubt that. You see, while you may be bigger then us and faster, I do have numbers on my side, and future vision."
"I know for a fact that the future is never set in stone" I growl.
She laughs again, "you may be right my dear, buuut, I do see many, many, many, possibilities where you come with us" she gives me an unnerving smile "most of them you are unconscious."
And it is at that moment where I snap and swing my sharp blade at her, but she ducks and the deadly blade only grazes her head.
"Attack" she grins evilly.
Almost all of the archers that surround me release their arrows, most of them whistle past me while a few get stuck in my hair.
The first of many waves of gems come rushing towards me, I slice through them with ease. But it isn't until the second wave of small arrows are released that I realize I'm possibly fucked.
Once again, most of the arrows manage to miss me, which I smirk at, but a few have actually managed to dig into my arms, neck, and back.
I let out a slight whimper as the gemlimgs painfully move inside me. But I stupidly work through the pain, cutting down more and more of the small fusion's forces.
I take a split second break to look at their face. But I frown as I see her smiling smugly like she has won the battle. Which, I fear she has.
I spend at least five more minutes, barely poofing any more of the fusion's soldiers. I, unfortunately, can feel myself losing energy quickly, my muscles start to burn, the pain in my belly is starting to flare up more, and I can see myself get more sluggish by the second.
As soon as I cut through the last of the archers, I hear the fusion curse to herself. I smirk as I quickly get the upper hand, I've definitely cut through more than three-fourths of her troops.
"You—don't need to—do this," I say between breaths.
"Yes, I do, you don't understand. I have a very flawless plan" she runs a stripped hand through her hair.
"Would you care to tell?" I ask.
She laughs a very, very, empty laugh "Ah, my diamond, you're very funny. I unfortunately have to say no to that request."
Out of nowhere, pain wracks through my entire system. I fall hard onto my knees and I painfully clutch onto my baby belly.
"Ah-ha!" The fusion points at me "Didn't I tell you! I knew she would be beaten" the fusion happily talks to herself.
She shakes away her joy and walks up to my face, "aaand, didn't Yellow Diamond warn you about the dangers of stressing yourself out too much?" The gem taunts.
"F-fuck—y-you" I barely say through the pain. Exhaustion seeps quietly into me, over masked by all the pain I feel.
"Don't worry you're pretty little head, I told you I'm not going to poof you. Although I would've liked to do that, but you're much, much more valuable to me in this state" the fusion uses two of her four arms to summon something.
The sound of an engine turning on catches my attention. My tired eyes slide upwards, and something very big and shiny appears in my line of sight.
"I-is that a ship?" I weakly ask "where did you get that?" I whisper the last part to myself.
"Good job! Ten points to you" the gem summons a large black bubble around us.
"Where—where are you taking me?" I tiredly ask.
"Hmm, a cell" the fusion chirps "if you'd like a more specific answer, far away...away from this place...in space!"
I close my eyes for a second and when I open them I'm in a large room, with no windows, and the only exit large a large electric wall that will definitely hurt if I touch it.
I move onto my stiff back, I stare up at the metal ceiling....This is going to be a longer journey than expected..
Dammit...

Hey I just got into Stardew and I was wondering if you had any tips for me? I honestly don't know what I'm doing lol
1- The Stardew Wiki is your friend
2- Make a chest as soon as you get 50 wood! Chests are your friend!!!
3- If you see what looks like lil worms on the ground, use a hoe on that spot! You can get materials like Clay or even artifacts(you can donate artifacts to the museum and get rewards)
4- Check the Calendar in front of Pierre’s shop! Especially for birthdays! If you give someone a gift they love on their birthday, their friendship will SKYROCKET!!!(use the wiki to learn what they love, but townies will also tell u so ayyy)
5- buy the 1st backpack upgrade as soon as you can. You’ll thank me later. The 2nd upgrade is great too but tbh the first is SO useful
6- NEVER PLANT CROPS AT THE END OF A SEASON!!! Spring crops will die the first day of summer!!!!! Your money will be wasted! Pay attention to how long a crop takes to grow when you buy them!!! If potatoes take 6 days to grow, and you plant them on Spring 25, they won’t grow in time and you’ll lose ur tater money!!!!
7- Go to bed between 12-1AM! After 1AM, you don’t get all of your energy back for tomorrow, and after 2AM you pass out!!! You can lose items or money if this happens!
8- Save money for the Egg Festival! (Spring 13) and buy strawberry seeds!!! They’re v profitable and they continually harvest so you only gotta plant them once!!!
9- SCARECROW!!! INVEST IN THEM!!!
10- Plant rice shoots near water and they’ll grow faster!!!
11- Go to the mines if you need copper/iron/gold ores, but make sure you have a weapon(the mines gives u a sword when u first go there) and food to replenish stamina/health!
12- The mines don’t open until Spring 5, and they’re up in the mountains! There’s an elevator, and every 5 floors you can access it and start further down! So whenever I mine I take it in bursts of 5 or 10 floors at a time!
13- In the forest(the area south of ur farm), go to the bottom right of the area, where the cliffs are and the sewer is. In Spring, there’ll be Spring Onions you can forage!!!
14- Once you can start making sprinklers, USE THEM. You’ll save so much time and energy when you don’t have to water crops!!! BUT SOME THINGS:
The first sprinkler will only water the spots to the right, left, up, and down from it
The quality sprinkler covers the 8 surrounding tiles
The iridium sprinkler covers 24 surrounding tiles
Read about them here!
15- don’t be afraid to spend money on seeds! I promise you’ll get your money back and then some when they grow, farming will be your main source of income early-game!
I think that’s all of the beginner tips I have? But really experiment and have fun with it! Fish a little, mine a little, farm and forage, talk to townsfolk, see what you enjoy! How I play can be very different than how others play, and that’s valid!!! Part of the fun of Stardew is exploring what works and what doesn’t work! Good luck!
