What are your biggest INTJ Struggles?

1. I despise small talk. I’m not interested in gossip either. I want to work, not talk. 2. I’m not gothic because most of my wardrobe is black. 3. I can become depressed at random times. 4. It’s ok to not be an extrovert or a feeler to be successful in life or have healthy relationships. 5. I hate constantly being categorized as a villain or an insensitive character in entertainment. Just because we don’t wear our hearts on our sleeves doesn't mean we’re heartless. I struggle to understand my emotions or don’t know how to express them well. 6. I don’t always want to smile but I can be goofy and have fun. 7. I enjoy staying quiet. 8. I like doing things by myself a lot of the time including observing people instead of engaging in conversation. I also enjoy talking to only one person for a long time at a party. 9. I am empathic in my own ways and people are shocked by it. 10. It’s ok to be me and be loved for it.

ok so people keep doing this and it pisses me off because it makes legit no sense

i’m an intj girl (if you don’t know about the mbti test, just scroll ig), and i keep seeing text posts and memes going around that sound something along the lines of “intj woman: more of a man than you’ll ever be” and “intj woman: forget everything you know about women.” it’s ridiculous because it puts intj women on a pedestal over other women by describing us as manly due to our tendencies for logic and eye for patterns. here’s what pisses me off though:

I’m not naive enough to think someone other than an arrogantly uninformed intj woman would make these posts, or a woman who has mistyped herself as intj and feels like shitting on other women for no reason. That’s why i’m angry. intj women don’t actually think like this???

this is yet another example of a woman’s value being placed on her proximity to the general stereotypical attributes of men (strong, less emotional, logical, etc.), and it only reinforces the gender stereotypes of women being inferior to men. bitches act like they have the right to say all of this because they have the mental capacity of a damn water bottle

Most INTJs I have related with have been misunderstood deeply in their life and when we finally find something that understands our mind's framework, a part of us is dismissed.

In my personal observation, INTJs do feel deeply but often do not communicate it well enough or the other person cannot relate to such depth or just tries to read between our lines when we are very direct. We also often come off as cold but it's usually our 'Thinking face'. We do want to socialise, be part of the gang etc but our past experiences with people or something similar holds us down from doing so.

INTJs have faced a lot of shit since young too for being different, I can't understand why people just force it upon us but they really do try to choke their 'normality' down our throats. Recovering from it and building ourselves is very difficult. But to all those people out there who are trying, you will make it one day! So, keep trying!

Most INTJs come off as 'rude' unintentionally, so it is okay. You can work on how to adapt to social interactions, it is difficult but you just need a clear base on people in general. You can do it!

There are also INTJs that are just shitty because they are an INTJ. Being an INTJ does not validate your shitty comment. You are just a shitty person so get off your high horse. I also know it is difficult to accept you were on the wrong but development cannot be made if you do not accept your flaws.

I also have noticed that these toxic or 'need growth' INTJs are the ones gatekeeping the INTJ space. If an INTJ is not 'nerdy' that does not make them a non-INTJ, their appearance is not equal to how their mind works.

The same applies to INTJs being masterminds or having a stereotype where they are best at school, some of us were not like that. We were good at specific things and school was not adapting to us. That does not make us any less of an INTJ.

Seeing these stupid, moronic INTJ stereotypes and gatekeeping needs to stop.

I just watched a YouTube video about Intjs that said our signature Death Stare automatically ignites the Fight or Flight Instinct in the other humans because it's too similar to the predatory gaze wildlife prey experiences prior to the Fatal Strike. Now it all makes sense! I'm not malevolent per se, I'm just unintentionally unnerving people by observing them instead of participating in life with them?

The implications of this are pilling up in my head and as exciting as that is, I'm also suddenly drained by the thought that now I have to figure out how to get people I want to like me to like me by not being myself at all I guess. I know we Intjs are immensely proud of this foundational aspect of our personality, being the antithesis to humanity, but then at the same time, it's like....well, shit?! How am I supposed to participate in life at all when I'm everything unlikable to an average person?

I believe this is called Mixed Emotions.
