2023 cross stitch, the character “Big Dinners, the Violence Ape” from the incomparable podcast I Don’t Like Mondays by Guy Kelly and Cat Kelly, which you 100% need to listen to—it’s an hour of two people who love each other and who also love taking the piss out of each other just going off on a series of ADHD-fueled rambles before begrudgingly reviewing a Garfield comic strip, and it’s one of my favorite things on the internet.
And sometimes they come up with incredible shit like Big Dinners, an ape in a bowler hat who’s some kind of mob enforcer but who’s, you know, a wild animal who doesn’t talk, so no one is really sure exactly what he wants or how to avoid his violence. It’s incredible and you should listen to it.
Piece is approximately 9” by 9”. I hired a pixel artist to make the design for me because I’m not good at that shit. It’s a full stitch with no blank space, apparently because I hate myself or something.
Seriously though, go listen to I Don’t Like Mondays, even if (ESPECIALLY if) you don’t like Garfield. It’s so good.
