Sirius Black dating life:
mary macdonald- first girlfriend. probably around second year. dated for a couple of weeks before mary broke up with him. they just acted as friends/how they previously interacted but kissed once and told everyone they were boyfriend/girlfriend.
florence- went on a few dates. never properly put a label on it. sirius broke up with her because she was annoyed he wanted to spend valentine's day doing pranks with his friends instead of going on a date.
doris purkiss- she asked him out and he accepted. went on a few dates. sirius broke up with her when he found out she was telling people she was only dating him because he was good looking.
hestia jones- started dating because sirius wanted a date to the yule ball. broke up during the holidays over a letter because sirius didn't actually want to date her.
marlene mckinnon- dated for a while. lavender relationship/both knew they were queer but not ready to come out. hooked up with other people whilst fake-together.
caradoc dearborne- never dated. just made out during parties a lot. caradoc was very closest and in love with his best friend and so was sirius.
benjy fenwick- dated for a few weeks. both in love with their best friend. broke up because peter didn't like that they were dating (being benjy's ex) and sirius felt bad that he hadn't asked peter beforehand.
remus lupin- very in love. broke up during the war. (kinda got back together after azkaban but it's very complicated). endgame. soulmates.

I really like rping and love pushing my characters but I have a hard time thinking of stuff for them to do! Do you have any recs for which characters you think will be easiest to plot for?
I get it, some folks do better plotting with a blank slate and some do better with a foundation to springboard from. For what you’re after, from our current bios, I'd suggest taking a look at:
Marlene McKinnon - she’s one of our four captives, so she’s got built-in plots right there (not to mention some pretty fraught connections to the other three). Then there’s the fact she has a comparatively fleshed-out family background and is oh yeah also currently an unwilling spy for Voldemort against the Order and she’s basically cake for plots imo.
Emmeline Vance - another of the captives, so all the same things apply there, but she’s got a less defined family background if you prefer coming up with that from scratch. She’s also the girl who figured out who was in charge of the Order before she even graduated, and told Dumbledore to let her join rather than the other way around, so she has history of being an active person -- but now she’s sort of paralyzed by the trauma of her captivity. That might make her the best choice for someone who likes pushing their characters but struggles to plot it themselves, because Emmeline is sort of in that position herself -- and oh yeah, she also doesn’t know that her “safe” job off the battlefield has put her in direct proximity to a Death Eater spy working for the folks who tortured her!
Gideon Prewett - our fourth and final captive (aside from James, who is already taken), he’s also got job ties to Frank and Alice Longbottom as well as a twin brother who’s the reason he joined the Order in the first place.You could easily build either tension or friendship with the Longbottoms (or both!) and definitely plenty of angst with his brother, given the many things they should be talking about but haven’t yet.
Fabian Prewett - likewise has plenty of conflicted feelings over his brother’s capture, and like Marlene he has some nice pre-defined family background and feelings there to build on, plus how his feelings on lineage (and the duties thereof) may be impacted by hanging-out with so many halfblood and muggleborns who don’t have those expectations. And of course, like Gideon, he has the built-in connection of a twin in the Order -- the twin he almost got killed by joining the Order!
Theodosia Selwyn and Evan Rosier and Emma Vanity - all of our spies for Voldemort have loads of plotting potential both for the practical sense of what they’re doing for the Dark Lord, and for their various personal feelings regarding said spying. That also gives them plenty of reasons to interact with other characters -- both for their own purposes, and because it’s literally their job to get close to these people (too bad that sometimes means actually getting close to people they’re supposed to be betraying...).
Caradoc Dearborn - he’s both one of the established leading voices within the Order and he runs one of their safe houses. Plus said location is a pub, which makes it both an official and an unofficial hang-out of the rest of the Order. He always has a reason (and a place) for interacting with other characters. Add to that his exacting nature and his shrewdness, and he has a reason for both noticing and prying when he sees someone acting off.
Peter Pettigrew - he has the Marauders for his closest connections like usual, but he’s also in a very different position in this game than a Peter usually is, being that he’s fallen into a leadership role in the absence of James. This leaves lot of fun new twists on his relationships with his best friends as well as making him a valued and integrated member of the Order. If you’re looking for a character who’s going to be directly involved in the war, he’s probably your best choice -- not that everyone isn’t going to be pulled into our battle events, because they are, but Peter is probably going to end up leading a fair amount of those tasks.
While we certainly tried to provide lots of different sorts of plot springboard points for all our characters, these are just some that I think have stronger “preexisting foundations,” so to speak. We wanted to have bios that would appeal to all sorts of different play-styles, after all, and looking through the rest of our castlist may spark other ideas so please don’t feel like you’re limited to just these! We’re always happy to discuss plot-ideas for any of our characters. Hope this helps!

several weeks in, doc found himself finally walking into that bar. avoiding his friends wouldn’t solve any of his issues. the last couple of weeks of staying away from people just felt a lot like it had the last several weeks of his life. alone, but the thoughts that creeped in were loud. he couldn’t think of a stretch of time where he had ever been by himself: he was the eldest of the dearborns, but all his memories began with having two siblings. and then he was sorted into hufflepuff, self explanatory. it wasn’t until the end of things he’d truly begun to feel by himself. maybe if doc had communicated with his friends in the first place, he wouldn’t have put himself in the position that he had. “hi-,” he pulled a weak, flimsy smile. he had a game plan. it would be fine, it would be funny, it would be fine. “heard you did good deals here and i-,” that smile faltered. “hi, marlene.”

There was always an agenda, an ulterior motive, and a scheme to be had.
He didn't want to be someone's pawn. He wasn't some chess piece to be moved about. But that's what he had become. From the Triwizarding Tournament to Inquisitorial Squad. Enough was enough.
Silly and naïve to think he was helping.
Cassius wasn't a hero, villain, martyr or victim. He didn't want to become one neither.
He couldn't help but wonder did his grandparents and the original members of the Order of Phoenix start to feel like that towards the end.
Before joining the Inquisitorial Squad Cassius struck an alliance with Susan Bones. She was one the very few at Hogwarts who knew his familiar ties.
There were currently only four people and that consisted of headmaster Albus Dumbledore, astronomy professor Aurora Sinistra, two underclassmen Hufflepuff student Susan Bones and fellow Slytherin Poonima Shah.
Outside Poonima, and professors Dumbledore and Sinistra. Cassius decided Bones was the better choice to approach. Nothing against Potter and Longbottom.
He knew Potter from across the quidditch pitch when their house teams played against each other.
Longbottom he rarely interacted with but both were distrustful of Slytherin students given their encounter and experience with Seeker Draco Malfoy. He and his little gang was always antagonizing and bully the two.
It was fustrating. The three younger boys had a black and white view of the world. That was the hardly case when it came to war.
His grandfather died fighting. His grandmother died fighting. His mother fought in the Siege of St. Mungo. His grand-aunt imprisoned. He and his father tortured.
At age four Cassius had witnessed his father be tortured by former Unspeakable Augustus Rookwood, they were both subjected to the Cruciatus Curse. They had survived.
His father's body however forever changed and for a time bound to the Department of Mysteries.
His mother was right. his grand-aunt was right. He needed to protect what he had. Not fight in a war.
But there was still this nagging feeling. It didn't sit right with him. Cassius wanted to find and put his grandparents to rest, give them a proper burial. He didn't want anyone else's loved one to end up like that.
They never found Caradoc Dearborn's body. Fellow Unspeakables including Order members searched for months.
Of course there were powerful spells and curses that could disengrate a body and leave no trace.
Cassius knew the truth. Caradoc corpse left from the site of it's death, walked or crawled away to it's new master. His grandfather's remains had been reanimated into a Inferius.
Just like fellow Order member Marlene Mckinnon and her family.
Just like the participants in the Battle of Exmoor in the First Wizarding War.
Now Alastor Moody, the real Alastor Moody. In Cassius sixth year Barty Crouch Jr. was exposed for posing as the retired auror, murdering his father, and tampering with the Triwizard Tournament.
The Reconstituted Order had suffered heavy losses already with the deaths of Sirius Black and Emmeline Vance.
Even Dumbledore's Army members loved ones were being attack. Susan's aunt Amelia Bones had been killed and so had her housemate Hannah Abbott's mother.
And Bode. They killed Broderick Bode. Cassius was done going into situations blind. This time he would do things his way, follow his intuition, make his own choices and take a few heads along the way.

i’ve kept these purposely vague because really it’s what makes sense for the dynamic between our characters! these are just jumping off points and i want anything you can throw at me that fits marlene.
general connections - all orders
marlene is outgoing and extroverted and probably has a million friends - so there’s always space for more. she is heartbreakingly honest and a true idealist so she probably won’t like you if you share different values.
she’s also bisexual and fond of both romantic flings and one night stands so there is space for more than one of those currently and also historically with characters of any gender! values matter a little bit less in bed honestly
friends with benefits - ex?- death eater
marlene is sleeping with this person. is she catching some feelings? perhaps. does she know they fought on opposite sides of the war? certainly not. i would love to explore the fallout from finding out (in a way that of course works for my partner and protects their character from any unwanted consequences)

marlene doesn’t know. will she find out? that’s up to you. is your character guilty or do they savour knowing it when they interact with marlene?? this could be a very different dynamic depending on where you want to go with it and i am HERE for it all

THE MISSION IS OVER.
As the mission comes to a close and a majority of those in the Order get home safely, the news that Ainsley Abbott has betrayed the organization with the murder of James Potter becomes the main topic of discussion with the members. Mary Macdonald was able to retrieve James’ body and brought it back to Lily Evans at the Potter Estate, while Emmeline Vance and Severus Snape helped continue to monitor the map and treat the injured.
Those who were focused on retrieving the orb had varying levels of success: Edgar Bones and Caradoc Dearborn found what they assume to be the real orb in the cellar. They still need to submit the object to Gideon (without Ainsley’s help, this time) for testing, but are largely confident in their success. Meanwhile, Amos Diggory, Artem Tremblay, and Maurice Creevey discover a map with locations and a list of dates that they believe to be telling of future Death Eater plans. The last group in search of the orb, Isla Sewlyn-Macmillian and Archie Macmillian, were captured by Death Eaters in the chaos after the murder, despite the original assumption by the Order that they would be the safest to blend in.
Sirius Black and Mundungus Fletcher were caught in their attempts to locate Death Eater information by Cordelia Greengrass, thus resulting in her convincing Dorcas Meadowes to let her into headquarters once the chaos began. At the time, Dorcas was alone due to Ndulue Travers abandoning their mission at the first sight of trouble. Lydia Avery was also brought into the Order’s safe house on McKinnon Farm by Daisy Hookum. Despite having not been aware of the Order’s mission, Amelia Bones was also caught in the crossfire and was brought to headquarters later, where she tended her splinched brother.
As not many in the Order knew that Andromeda Tonks was under polyjuice as her sister, Bellatrix Black, she was mistaken to be the real Death Eater by multiple people, including an awkward encounter with Frank Longbottom where he tried to battle her. Despite this, she and Ryland Greengrass were both able to make it safely back to headquarters, where Emma Vanity was reuniting with Dorcas. As Andromeda did not want to blow her cover, she immediately went home.
Before Alice Longbottom Disapparated, she was able to track down and capture the Death Eater Lachlan Greengrass. She will have to make a statement to the Ministry of Magic about what happened at the engagement party. Lachlan has been placed under the custody of the Auror department and will stay in Ministry cells, pending trial.
On the grounds of the manor, Branwen Yaxley and Fabian Prewett discovered a sinister sighting of sixteen dead bodies. They don’t know what these bodies will be used for, but have taken a picture with a Muggle camera to show the Inner Circle. As it happened so quickly, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were not able to support the Order before the chaos began, but learned of James’ death by a patronus from Emmeline. Despite being able to get the wards down in time for the emergency Disapparition, Marlene McKinnon was still injured by Death Eaters and taken to headquarter by Gideon Prewett, who then went back to the party to help get James’ friends out without more harm.
THINGS TO CONSIDER.
Now that James has died, there is much that the members of the Order will need to discuss, particularly because his death was due to one of their own’s betrayal.
James is Secret Keeper and owner of the Order’s headquarters, along with the main funder for the organization. Do they have someone like Sirius ask James’ mother for money? How do they keep the location a secret? Do they find a new location for headquarters instead?
Now that everyone is Secret Keeper due to the original’s death, this also includes Ainsley, who has betrayed them. Not only that, but Peter could potentially give up their location as well, given he is the unknown spy.
Prior to this mission, James implied to the Order the Remus is a werewolf. What do they do about this now? They’re unable to ask James any follow-up questions.
James was working on a plan to leak fake information to the Ministry in order to figure out who is a Voldemort supporter and who isn’t. What happens to this plan? It can be found on a desk in one of the studies, where James was working on it.
Ainsley knows who they are, knows their names, and works for the Daily Prophet. What now? What will she do? What do they do about her?
How do they stop James’ friends, particularly Sirius, from tearing-off in distress to kill Ainsley and other Death Eaters, which would likely result in him getting himself - and anyone else he drags along - killed too?
Those who attended as themselves with polyjuiced partners have some explaining to do. How do they make their excuses to avoid suspicion? Do they pretend to have also been polyjuiced, or do they admit to having been at the party but having had no idea their “partner” wasn’t who they seemed? Do they pretend they thought it was a prank, or make some other excuse?
DETAILS.
Karli will be taking up the role of Regulus Black, who will come in via plot drops throughout the next few weeks. His application can be found here. He will not be set for activity requirements until the plot drops have occurred and he is officially in play.
Ainsley Abbott will be moved to a secondary role, allowing for periodic interactions without the activity requirements, given that she is no longer part of the Order.
The Death Eater list will be updated to include the changes reflected from Alice’s capture of Lachlan Greengrass.
You may now begin paras set after February 14th. Threads set during the event or prior to February 14th can still be continued, with new threads being kept to a minimum.

Adrift in Chaos | Sybill & Caradoc
Sybill’s visions had gotten more disturbing as she got older, as war grew closer and closer. These days she was more surprised by the gentle visions, sweet little moments drifting past her. This past week or so a certain one kept her waking up with a smile on her face- Caradoc, and picnic blankets. His exact intentions weren’t clear in visions, but Sybill had her suspicions given the nature of their interactions- perhaps it was arrogant, but she couldn’t imagine he was wracking his brains over the perfect picnic blanket for someone that wasn’t her. At least, she sure as hell hoped not, else she was going to look and feel like a damn fool before the end of the day.
It felt a little selfish given everything else going on, but Sybill was so fucking tired of it all, so out of her mind exhausted by war and work and fear. She deserved a break, and she wanted to see Caradoc again, wanted to embrace that strange fluttering feeling in her chest. So she dressed- casual and comfy, but cute, something Marlene had given her- and apparated to his house.
For a moment she hesitated- maybe the visions really were just random? But she’d come this far already, so with a steadying breath, Sybill knocked, and then a little while later there he was... “Will you please ask me already? They’re cute right now but another week of visions about picnic blankets and I will be out of my mind. Pick the blue one, and ask me.” Ah. What was it you were supposed to say when someone opened the door? “Also, hello.” Right.

EVENT 012 - STRATEGIC MEETINGS
The Death Eaters have every reason to celebrate their recent victory of a battle and while they’re all under the safety of the Riddle Home with their masks on firmly they’re already devising their next battle plan. Meanwhile in the safety of the McKinnon Manor the Order is devising a plan of their own, one that will involve a timely revenge.
This event will take place from posting time on Sunday, July the 22nd until the end of day on Sunday, August the 5th, please tag all starters & interactions with requiescatevent012. Since this was not a mandatory event and everyone who is on the list asked to participate, we do expect you to start the interactions by the 22nd to simply be fair to your partner. It is up to the two of you what the basket had inside. No one would know whose basket they were bidding on, so that is part of the fun of the randomizer! Please let me know if you have any questions/comments/or concerns.
The “dates” can take place on school grounds or Hogsmeade. We’re opening up that as an option just to give you more ideas.

“i think davies would be just fine keeping the chocolate frog as a pet.” doc looked over at his four year old, who was chasing the enchanted piece of chocolate around in circles. he thought about he own toad back in school, Toad, who doc considered to be one of his best friends up until his own death. sometimes he wondered what happened to the poor guy. “maybe it’s time for a new Toad.” he shrugged. everyone had known about doc and that toad- he’d carried him to class to to meals and everywhere else many times during his first few years of school. doc looked back over to marlene. “do you remember that guy? remember, he stayed around the order headquarters quite a bit?” doc let out a sigh, “merlin, i miss him.”

YOU HAVE BEEN CORDIALLY INVITED…
The Ministry of Magic is desperately trying to hold back Lord Voldemort from completely taking over. Minister of Magic Millicent Bagnold believes the best way to do that is to preach inter-magical unity. With growing whispers of impeachment for Bagnold’s failure to stop the war, if this stunt improves her standing as well -- so be it.
In order to celebrate all magical people, the Ministry decided to hold a gathering to which people from all backgrounds will be invited (the socially-acceptable ones anyway). Lucius Malfoy was ever-so-happy to assist, funding the creation of a Fountain of Magical Brethren to stand in the Atrium of the Ministry of Magic in permanent homage to magical unity. It will be unveiled at a ceremony on October 31st, 1981. This party, to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve, will be a masquerade.
Certain individuals have received tickets to a private dinner and dance in the Ministry’s exclusive Venusia Crickerly Event Center to celebrate with the rest of the political or social elite after the unveiling of the statue. The Atrium is open to the rest of the public for the entirety of the evening, with appetizers and drinks being served by house elves.
WHERE THE ORDER COMES IN…
The Order does not believe Lucius Malfoy’s story and has long suspected him to be in Lord Voldemort’s inner-circle. This adds to their fears that an event of this size celebrating magical unity would be the perfect place for a possible Death Eater attack - especially with Malfoy potentially able to provide them inside access. Their mission is simple: gather information, don’t make a scene, find evidence to prove Lucius or anyone else’s involvement, stop any possible attack.
Sirius Black, Remus Lupin & Fabien Prewett have not been invited to the private party. Therefore, they will spend their evening in the Atrium looking for suspicious meet-ups by other public parties and playing guard to the fireplaces in order to stop any attack before it begins. They may (some of them more than others) also try and cadge some free drinks along the way, although that was not part of the Order’s mandate.
James Potter, Caradoc Dearborn & Marlene McKinnon were invited to the event due to blood status, ironically. They will be in a room with Lucius Malfoy and are intent on specifically focusing their time on him and any other suspected Death Eaters invited to the private event.
Alice Longbottom is working the event for the Ministry. While she is specifically in charge of six Magical Law Enforcement Patrol (MLEP) agents for the Ministry, she also has an opportunity as an Auror to leave the party to come and go as she pleases. Her role in the Order’s mission will be to gain access to the Minister’s file regarding Lucius’ payment.
Lily Evans has been added as James’ plus one for the private event but, as a muggleborn, no one will take a second look if she needs escorted out by an Auror (such as Alice).
Emmeline Vance is on-duty for St. Mungos. She is technically working a ‘First Aid’ tent in the Atrium in case of minor injury or over-imbibing. During the times where no one needs medical attention, she is allowed to join the party. And, if a suspected Death Eater enters her tent, maybe there will just be a bit extra added to their potion.
Confidence Brown is a guest at the private event. He knows that his attendance will be mildly-scandalous, but that’s exactly what his escort is going for: retaliation against their spouse in the form of an embarrassing public appearance - and Connor is happy to participate in some grade-A pettiness, especially when it comes in the form of a fancy party. He does not expect to wind up in the middle of what seems to be a mission for the Order, but Caradoc’s poker face is a little too good when he’s working.
Dorcas Meadowes was strictly told by the Order’s inner-circle to say home. Whether she listens or not is an entirety different story. After all, the Atrium is open to the public and everyone’s faces will be covered by masks. She intends to make the Order of the Phoenix known for its fight against Voldemort tonight.
Emma Vanity has decided to follow in Dorcas’ footsteps tonight. However, she has also been invited to the private party with her family. Being a Vanity means she needs to be seen around in order to keep up appearances, while also subsequently avoiding her parents long enough to work with Dorcas.
Severus Snape has been specifically invited into the private event by Lucius. He does not yet have a role in the Order, as he is still a loyal Death Eater, but he will likely spend the evening trying not to mingle too much. And casting a suspicious eye on all these suspected Order members, of course.
Gladys Gudgeon is expected to attend to “represent the department” honorably. She has not been explicitly invited to the private party, but as a Ministry employee of moderate rank should she choose to press her way inside, she is unlikely to be stopped. No one from the Order contacted her ahead of time, but she may recognize some faces.
