everybody knows 18-year-old prodigy ollie bearman, who made his f1 debut with scuderia ferrari just two weeks ago in the scrupulous circuit that is the jeddah corniche circuit filling in for carlos sainz jr, sick from appendicitis. (hopefully this doesnt cause another chain of events like a certain driver whos number is 23, knock on wood) the academy driver started 11th on the grid and finished in the points, all the way to 7th, despite being such a hard circuit and also having very little experience with real formula 1 cars.

what not everybody knows about is his girlfriend, estelle— formerly silly_lettuce on all social media. truly, she is gorgeous. a picturesque couple, no?

estelle ogilvy langinier manning, (allegedly) is 21 years old law student out of london. the couple ‘hard launched’ from ollie’s instagram story a couple months ago. (picture is from his instagram) from the crumbs ive picked up from my dear friends on insta and tiktok, ollie is not the only racing driver she’s ever dated. ive been hearing through the grapevine that she dated f2 drivers zak o’sullivan since they were neighbours in the past and has also been with franco colapinto, confirmed(? texts could be fake) by herself through a message thread on instagram.

aside from racing drivers, there has been more rumors of her being with a guy from boy band, as well as a finance man.

with a simple instagram search of ‘sillylettuce,’ you will get a video credited to her old account with her alleged ‘finance boyfriend.’ this search will also get you this picture on the left, uploaded by downtown.chix in december of 2020.

some people think its plastic surgery, maybe a drastic weight loss journey. whatever it might be, this isn’t the only thing that raises a couple eyebrows since thanks to the very intrigued people of the internet, we have since found out she started studying at durham uni in 2018. unless she is a young sheldon type prodigy who started college at 11, this would mean she is 24/25 now.

On Sunday February 2024 a blank video titled MELLY OH MY MY SPICE FULL SONG LEAK. was posted to the account siusheep. A youtube account with almost 300 followers with a total of 6 videos.

The account had formerly posted about the melly girls twice sharing videos of them from afar, one from a fansite and another from a concert they had had back in 2020. the other 3 videos were all videos featuring long 20 minutes shots of dread end members from concerts.

The leaked song video gained nearly 5k views within hours from Jellies saving, rewatching and sharing the video. As of now this video has been taken down from the channel, however Jellies have managed to record the song beforehand. In the video you can clearly hear Yoona, Meilli and Hinata.

Now the video has been reposted by others all over Instagram, Tiktok and X. Fans have also created fake mv's, line distribution videos, and cover of the song.

But many netizens have taken to online forums to discuss how this person was able to obtain the snippet of the song. Seeing as there other videos lead people to speculate that their just another fan.

Some have created theories such as, this person is a staff working at honeyco? some even speculate that this was all a plan by honeyco to gain attention for melly's comeback, however most people believe that honeyco was hacked by a fan.

What trends are happening in the industry?

What are two current cases related to social media ethics?

Data Breach: In April 2021, 530 million Facebook user’s personal data was exploited in an online public hacking forum. The leaked information was scraped from 2019 after a group of hackers found a way into Facebook’s contact importer. Facebook then came out and dismissed the case stating “We expect more scraping incidents and think it’s important to both frame this as a broad industry issue and normalize the fact that this activity happens regularly.” This reads as unethical as Facebook decided to completely shift blame to it being a universal issue rather than developing other ways to keep users personal information private.

Safety Settings: In January 2024, Meta and Instagram started to roll out new safety features for its younger users after failing to protect children online countless times. These new settings are made to change the algorithm on users' feeds and hide sensitive content or advertisements such as violence, drugs, firearms, bare bodies and self harm to name a few. Unfortunately these changes still fall short and Meta has had a decade to make social media safer and have failed miserably every time.

Outline the current code of ethics for social media by a professional organization you would be interested in joining as part of their social media staff.

Instagram's Community Guidelines:

Share only photos and videos that you’ve taken or have the right to share.

Post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience.

The brands that I believe practice strong ethical behavior on social media would be Airbnb and CVS.

I chose these brands due to their strengths in being fully transparent companies online.

According to theorg.com in an article titled “The 100 most transparent companies of 2020” , the site states that for Airbnb “The end-to-end travel platform disrupted the hotel industry in many ways, but a key principle was transparency between guests, hosts, and the platform to try and ensure no hidden fees or backcharges.” They apply these ethics to social media in a different way on their instagram account showcasing some of their beautiful locations to book but don't shove a price tag in your face which further proves an honest ethical way of promoting their brand.

What I love about CVS’s ethical practices is that on social media they bring to light important topics and showcase people of color and people with disabilities in wholesome informal content found on their Instagram. Posts such as “4 tips to win at your wellness goals” and ways to save on medication at the pharmacy is a great example of this. In general this content appeals to a wide audience.

Some takeaways I would apply to my own practices would be to make approachable content that can appeal to a wide audience and highlight topics of importance and implement it into my posts. Another takeaway: If I were to run an account having to do with hotel stays or vacation booking I would showcase images of the vacation spots but instead of urging users to book immediately, I would list a step by step guide on how to save for their next trip and discounts they can apply to their trips.

The main concepts I feel are necessary to adhere to for my own behavior online are:

Checking the credibility of a source and avoiding false advertising and unreliable information

To be fully transparent in what i’m posting and sharing

To send a positive message and avoid personal bias in discussions

The concepts I feel strongly against:

Not keeping users information private

Spreading misinformation online and not checking validity of a source

Spreading violence and race-related issues in a negative way

This post mainly has to do with the semantics started and discussed in the last entry in Cosmic Luve Sept 2023 - Bam. It’s important to read a few entries of cosmic luve so you see how the semantics develop. To bring you up to speed, I wrote a book about the science and why I think the planet and stars are conscious. It basically has to do with their magnetism which I postulate could make them conscious. I talk about the evidence and reasoning for this in my book “108 The Story of Discovering Earth’s Consciousness.”

Sentientism, which was developed here on this blog after the book, is the belief that Gaia is conscious and communicating. Through this perspective, I think if Gaia communicates, she is doing it through “telepathic randonauting and points of realization.” Basically, the planet could act as a God to humans, reading our minds, and affect behavior by highlighting cognition essentially.

Where we left off…

Last entry I talked about my 5 top cosmic luves and how I was inducting Janelle Monae into the top 5. Well we have another new cosmic luve, but this time it’s a man. This will be my first introduction of the “cosmic bros.” These are usually male, (personally) plutonic vessels of Gaia. Last post I talked about how Janelle’s posts look to be semantically reflecting my “Corporate Rule” cover. Well, more semantics have built off that anchor.

October’s Coincidences

October’s coincidences pretty much all happened on one day, October 30th to be specific. I swear it always starts with Hailee, or at least it has been lately. I made some content in the forest on the 29th. I posted the (linked) Earth short from the forest on the 30th on Instagram at like 1 pm. Then around 4pm I was listening to La Russell and when he said “flow water I sell it by the vowel” in Hustlenomics I opened up Hailee's story on Instagram to find a picture of Halle in the woods drinking core. It was also Michigan’s first snow of the year that day. Here is a tweet I made about these October 30th coincidences.

Later at 7 pm I was watching (this video for) my daily dose of Philip DeFranco when I noticed another coincidence. What Phil was reporting was verbatim reflecting my hook from “Class Warfare” on my “Corporate Rule” album. At 15:11 Phil says “...they want people to mark down the license plate of any Jewish people, follow them, and mark down where they’re staying.” This is eerily similar to my lyrics from “Class Warfare” which are:

Terrorize them at their homes Follow them, track their phone Make um scared and always hide And when they’re unsuspecting, strike Hack their home security And break in and then secretly Drug them while they’re sound asleep And rape them off they’re dignity

Well, this is terrifying. What else am I gonna predict? To be clear, I talk about it in my music as a warning so it doesn’t happen in real life. Calling it how I see it and attacking the system in music is ‘the remedy’ otherwise I have to use names, faces, and point the finger. I could just not divulge all this, and it would still just happen. It’s not like it’s happening because I divulge.

Or maybe it is… But just no one listens. I’m still basically talking to an empty void.

Thrillin

Then, Connor Price posted “Thrillin.” I’ve looked into what I believe Slender Man is while very mentally ill. I basically found people did the horrible things influenced by Slender Man because they wanted to do it. I thought of Slender Man for some reason the other night before all this happened and I thought to myself, “Slender Man is basically blue.” If you look at the original picture of Slenderman it came from a photo from a smattering of trees in the background that made it look like a man, Slender Man. There were kids in the picture so it was said he was chasing them.

So Slender Man is this kinda of manifestation of wanting terrible things to happen to their children. This also brings full circle to what I said in September because Slenderman is after your children. And in this context I’m saying Slenderman is blue. So like I said in about the Goosebumps teacher possessed after their kids from last entry. This is the actual spiritual representation of Blue’s morbid and sinister hate for Big Carbon’s children.

I wouldn’t put it past Blue to have orchestrated Slender Man as reprehense for global carbon pollution. But a slender man-type figure is following Connor in his Trillin Music video. Other similarities are that Conor talks about being a Villain and my album starts with “the Villain 2.” His background also looks like my album cover replacing the pumpkin cloud with the moon.

Remember this would work by the planet and atmosphere communicating telepathically until they can create a narrative in media if you know what to look for. Gaia told me to wait to post this til late November, which I did. The problem is she is saying I missed some of the narrative by not being vigilant. “Back to Life” inspired by Hailee dropped Friday, November 3rd. You can hear me talk about all the previous coincidences up until this point in the “Back to life” November 5 2023 Sunday update. On November 4th, I noticed Connor put out a short form video to “Trendsetter” and he has a scarf in it that is similar to Hailee’s shirt.

November Coincidences

On I think November 15 Gaia yelled at me while I was brushing my teeth for not logging coincidences. There’s been little things that I haven’t been logging. There was something in Philip DeFranco I missed. But I’m gonna be better. I don’t think they matter or it’s really hard to explain but apparently, there might be a connection I’m not seeing or she wants me to document to influence someone else.

With that said, Connor Price is now officially a cosmic luve, or cosmic bro. I decided to make that a thing. Other cosmic bros include La Russell, Snoop Dogg, Russ, and Philip Defranco are probably my top 5. You obtain this status by putting out work that consistently reflects semantics and themes in my work that can be interpreted through Gaia.

Conor has been popping up more and more in the cosmic luve log so it’s just natural to make it official. I specifically did this now because Conor reflected my first “point of realization.” In his new short form content promoting his song “Can’t Give Up” he takes a sip of his water bottle as the song is singing about a water bottle.

The very thing that started all of this with thinking it was the government stalking and now the planet was that I drank my can of pop at the same time I scrolled down to see someone drinking while I was on facebook in my apartment in Ypsilanti in 2012. Conor drank the water bottle as the other artist was talking about it. Say this happens naturally and you recognize that, well that’s a “point of realization.” You realize your in sync with something, or at least notice one coincidence. And like with me, they continue to happen and add up. You can find me explaining the November Coincidence in my and this water bottle example in the November 19th sunday update.

Conor Responding

Overall, I feel as if Conor heard my song “Rap Intelligence” and decided to make some responses while complimenting my artistry. Of course, I feel the same way about Emma Watson half the time she posts, but I maintain that she is being used a vessel by Gaia, probably like Conor is doing here.

If you remember and been paying attention, I came out with my first EP called “What Now” on April 14th this year. In it I talk about rappers that are currently poppin. Some of them I like, which are the beginning tracks, and some of them I don’t, which are at the end. Somewhere in the middle on “Rap Intelligence” is a blurred lined where I act like I don’t like rappers that I admire and compliment them in a demeaning tone. In the song, I basically go after Conor and say he’s a ‘goodie two shoes’ like Steve Martin.

In a larger sense, I feel like Connor has been responding to my music since his “Thrillin” release. I already talked about the coincidences in “Thrillin.” Coincidences include how in “Trendsetter” he talks about being a “best seller,” more like “read what I wrote” which seems like a connection to my book. “No misses” would be Emma. And I’m the competition that needs to get the message and a bigger boat.

Basically “No Bad Side” is a response to “Rap Intelligence” in the title. He is basically saying “I have no bad side” using rap intelligence because the song is basically how I think he tries to hard to be nice and he should show us some aggression. Then “Can’t Give Up” is a “spin the globe” with a UK artist about how you shouldn’t give up. The whole purpose and motivation for my music is to meet Emma Watson who lives in the UK.

I feel like if Connor is not doing this on purpose he is my spirit animal or at least my Gaia animal vessel for now, which is why I made his a cosmic bro. I think it’s kinda crazy the cosmic bro thing came up right as I’m about to release my ep “All Homo” on December 1st. I wish Connor and his family the best. I hope your happy in Las Vegas. Ya bisch.

Let’s Be Real

It is easy to think that we have all the social media apps we could ever handle. After all, we have our hands full trying to keep up with Facebook, Insta, TikTok, Twitter, SnapChat, and LinkedIn. But that hasn’t stopped Instagram founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger from launching Artifact (more on that in a future blog), or a former President from creating TruthSocial, and an even wider array of Alt-Right sites like Parler.

And then there’s Alexis Barreyat and Kevin Perreau, who founded the French social media app BeReal in 2020. It didn’t gain much traction during COVID, but has now exploded in growth. It is billed as the most real of social apps, in that it focuses on authenticity. Or so they say. I’ve been watching this one closely since early last Fall, when it first popped on my radar.  

Here’s how it works. Users get a push notification at random times each day, and they have two minutes to shoot and post a photo of them doing whatever it is they are doing right then. The app activates both forward and rear cameras so you get a shot of the person as well as what they are seeing. No filters. No Photoshop or Lightroom. No makeup or fancy clothes. No influencers.  

Just you in the raw.

Of course, we may not always be able to do this within two minutes (I’m looking at all y’all stuck in Dallas traffic right now), so the app allows for late posts, but it duly notes your tardiness. Oh, the shame and indignity.

At a time when all of our other socials are highly curated and feature tweaked images and reels, BeReal is the opposite. It wants to allow our friends and followers to see us living life, not posturing for a paid sponsor.

It’s an interesting idea to say the least, especially given that at least Facebook and Insta indeed had far humbler beginnings free of influencers. I confess that I too have taken to polishing my media before posting. A little Photoshop or Lightroom never did any harm, right? Think digital cosmetics. I can fix any blemish.

Alas, I am not pandering to corporations, as I am not on any payrolls other than the State of Texas. But then again, we do have our personal brands to worry about, too. And given that I am working on some fun travel-related books right now, it can’t hurt. Besides, I really don’t want people to see what I look like before the first two or three cups of coffee.  I

I’m not addicted. I swear.

But while BeReal has enjoyed popularity in the various app stores, I see this as a novelty, much like a Fourth of July bottle rocket. It makes a pretty splash in the sky, and then the embers fall to the ground. I can see people growing weary of being pestered at random times for another $%^&* picture. It’s almost like the app developers assume we are all sitting around doing nothing. Have they never heard of classes? Meetings? Dinner? Airplanes? Anyone?

Then there’s the very real possibility of people’s so-called authenticity being a parade for the very people and products we already see on social media. You’re in Playa del Carmen on the beach, and you get buzzed. Or at a posh movie debut. Driving a Mercedes S-Class. In the fanciest suite at the Barfield in Downtown Amarillo.  

Yeah, that all looks pretty real, doesn’t it? Actually, it looks pretty damn ostentatious to me. No, I am not envious, but in a rush to focus on least common denominators, we must recognize that some people have a much larger denominator to begin with. Those brands would love to be in a big hurry to hop on this bandwagon. Even pedestrian companies like Chipotle have hacked the system by posting promos to their BeReal.

And even though the firm has received a $30 million cash infusion, there is still the most critical of flaws: They have no revenue model. This is Rule #1 for any app or social. You must have a way of making money sooner or later, just like Google and Meta discovered.

If companies are already subverting the game plan, just watch out. It is only going to look more and more like what we have been using all along. Well, that’s as long as BeReal actually bothers to figure out how to sustain itself. All the authenticity in the world won’t pay the bills, and as I have said many times before, you don’t just launch an app out of the goodness of your heart.

Nice try, BeReal. My gut tells me that people don’t want to be real. We buy in to the Looking Glass Self concept, in which our perceptions of ourselves are informed by what we think others think of us.

And…here’s the important part—we try to influence what others think of us. It’s an affirmation feedback loop.   

God knows we love those Likes and Hearts a lot more than any feedback we get for posting our bed head hair.

What is Social Media?

I would define social media as a platform where people in different countries could interact and can stay connected with others. It is also a useful tool to be able to socialize and be in the know of what's going on in the world. With social media people can shop from businesses big and small. People can express their feelings, support causes, ask for advice, etc. While we all love and enjoy social media, it can also have a negative effect. Often several of these platforms can be used for people to bully one another, making them feel uncomfortable. In many cases cyberbullying has led to someone losing their life. Social media being an online tool with personal information, can cause the hacking of personal accounts which is not good.

I see myself as a social media user because I use Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and especially Tik Tok. I personally use social media to stay up to date with the latest fashion trends, sneaker drops, and to follow friends, family, and also celebrities. I usually don’t watch the news or read news articles but social media informs me as to what's going on in the world. While many networks have reliable sources there are also a couple that do announce only fake news. As a social media user it is important to understand and recheck where the information is coming from and its validity.

One strength I have relating to social media is that I have a decent amount of followers and those I am following specifically on Instagram. I play soccer so my teammates but especially coaches from different teams and schools are able to look at my profile, and evaluate my performance. This could also lead to potential opportunities and the creation of newer connections. Three weaknesses that I face with social media would be that sometimes it promotes laziness. For example if I have to do something productive I won’t or I find it to be harder to get done. Social media for me sometimes seems like a distraction. It also decreases face-to-face interaction. At times I prefer to text or call someone instead of meeting or hanging out with them. I do much better in person communicating to others. One thing with social media is you go on it for a couple of minutes and one thing leads to another and you’ve just spent almost an hour liking, messaging, and scrolling through Instagram or Tik Tok.

I would like to get two things from this class. First I would like to know what are the effects that social media can have on one's life. Throughout the years many people have lost their lives due to social media. According to socialmediavictims.com “The suicide rate for male teens increased 31 percent between 2007 and 2015. Female teen suicides hit a 40-year high in 2015.” Many years ago cyberbullying used to be a huge issue and today social media has helped to hide the real lives and feelings of people. Which have caused them to turn to suicide as a solution. Many people suffer from mental health issues like depression and insecuirtues and social media only makes it worse. I know I would say “There’s no way, they seemed so happy and full of energy.” But it's what people are going through interallly that actually matters. I would also like to learn about the history of social media and what the future of this platform will look like.
