When Tom had messaged you saying he wanted to talk, no matter how much you knew it was a bad idea, you decided to agree to it anyway.

The breakup had ended pretty badly. Although it was an agreement between you and Tom, that didn’t mean that’s what the both of you truly wanted.

The reason the two of you broke up in the first place was that Tom was talking too much about your future, which wasn’t a bad thing — but it overwhelmed you. You weren’t ready to settle down, not yet, at least. You and Tom had only been dating for a few months, and although it was all sweet and loving, you knew that getting engaged this early was like asking for a disaster to strike.

He was upset. Clearly. He loved you, you loved him, so why was it such an inconvenience for you to agree to take the leap in your relationship? That caused a blown out argument between you two, and by the end of it, you had agreed breaking up was the right thing.

You had a acting and music career to focus on, and Tom had an acting career that was just at the beginning of its success. You felt that it wasn’t right to put a distraction into his life.

“Is this a bad idea?” You ask breathlessly as you pull away from the kiss. You can’t help but stare into Tom’s eyes, which held a language of their own.

“Maybe,” he says, wiping the corner of your mouth. “But who cares?”

Who cares. Right. Well surely, it was a bad idea to meet up with your ex, much less kiss him, and although alarms were baring in your head that you probably shouldn’t—you go in for a second kiss, this time, Tom doesn’t let you go, cradling you close to his body.

“I don’t care if you don’t want to take the next step in our relationship, I’m fine if you’re not ready yet. I just want you, okay?”

And how could any girl possibly reject Tom Blyth when he’s begging so prettily? Certainly not you.

so I watched a reel on insta about female friendships. and I started thinking about why I don't have a bonding like other people have with my female friends. about why I want to have such close friends so bad but I still can't manage to make anyone stay long enough for our friendship to culminate into something beautiful. and i couldn't find an answer. the only thing i know is that I'm not good enough for people even though I try to convince myself that I'm just among the wrong people. but i just keep thinking what i did wrong to not have friendships like other people my age have.

how did I fuck things up, how do I fuck things up everytime before something has even started.

I saw a friend of mine post a story on her Instagram page with her bf and a cake they'd baked together and I started to think why can't I have such nice things. i really couldn't have been that terrible that the universe is fucking me up in a hundred different ways relentlessly.

i never see people talking about how terrible it is to yearn and how difficult it is to hope for the good things and how lonely it gets after a point of time and a string of failed friendships and non-existent relationships.

people just talk about the best life they're living and how they went to a pretty little aesthetic cafe the previous weekend with their friend group and how their partner gets them flowers and writes little poems for them.

there's no talk about the silence surrounding you when you're sitting in your room all alone on a Saturday evening, scrolling through your phone and you see your classmates going out and having fun and clicking pretty pictures. no one talks about wishing every single day that you make me friends like those, but at the same time understand you and not judge you for the supposed little quirks you have.

just try to understand how your brain works and support you through it.

and i hate that people like me end up hating themselves just a little bit everyday for not having a life like other people have. hate themselves for not being able to make long-lasting friendships. hate themselves whenever they hear their parents say that their child has no friends because they aren't willing to make one.

my parents don't understand either, that I would absolutely love nothing more than to have just one person I could rely on for anything, and it's so hard to make them understand as well.

This might sound stupid cuz I have an idea of it but I’m still kinda confused….but how do you live in the end as someone significant other? Like I have an idea like I live in the end by doing certain things like I do palates, go on runs, clean, shop (stay at home gf vibes bc this mans takes care of me) I’ve upgraded my dressing and aesthetic for me I feel I’m doing things right but I still kinda dwell on him in a way where I’m like “he loves me so much then somehow end up on his insta. Just do you have any advice or thoughts or anything.

it seems like you already have a good grasp on living in the end! about the instagram thing- I reccommend blocking him. also, whenever you get the chance, just imagine yourself doing whatever stay-at-home-gf activity you wish! if you're washing dishes, imagine you're on the way to a pilates class or to pick up something you ordered (and paid for with your bf's card). try and be more regular with your visits to your desired life within imagination, and give yourself a break from trying to control your thoughts and stuff. focus as much as you can on imagination and your life there, and eventually your thoughts will follow.
