my cat has ham sense

if im making a sandwich even if ive tried not to think ham thoughts, the second i open a package he will have already been running from across my house to the kitchen

today his new record was 2 seconds after i said to my grandma, "watch lokis gonna be in here in two minutes" and he was already jumping over our dog gate as i was finishing the sentence

its only ham too, he'll come for other stuff but usually with coaxing, ive tried it with turkey and bologna and often he'll just lazily wander in, but if its ham he will FULL SPRINT

gotta end this post and give him some ham though cause now he's attempting to climb me

The clouds, the buildings, the streets… even the people seem to be wrapped in a shroud of grey. It’s depressing. I guess that’s why there’s so much crime; a welcome distraction from ——

A dame bursts into my office, screeching. She’s got legs. Legs that go all the way up. All legs, only legs. A ball of legs. Some men would say she’s got too many legs, but I’m not some men. She’s truly a creature, shambling frantically around the office, panicked noises and grunts coming from a seemingly nonexistent mouth. Legs come from everywhere, flailing, knocking over the chair and kicking me in the face. She crashes through the wall, slinking back into the dark.

Her brother is missing. I’m on the case.

There's not really a whole lot to it, plot-wise. There's this village on a huge mountain in Equestria (called Mt. Hope) by the very on-the-nose name of Hope's Peak. It was founded ages ago as like an EPCOT (as in the original idea for EPCOT, the Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow, not the theme park) sorta thing to inspire ponykind, but it failed because the forest at the mountain's foot is wild like the Everfree which scared plenty of ponies off. The current mayor is a pony called Sharp Relief (Jin Kirigiri) who headed a project to revamp the place. A bunch of very talented creatures of all sorts started living there and it did become a beacon of hope and harmony!

It's pretty slice of life lore-wise, sort of a Non-Despair/Ultimate Talent Development Plan beat.

I have names and species for almost all the characters which I will put under a read more because. Yeah.
