I usually never do this, but for this one I just felt like I had to. A lil explanation of this written piece.
I spent a little too long at my parents’ place this week. And sometimes this is fine, and sometimes it isn’t so fine.  When I still lived at home I wasn’t well. My eating disorder and destructive behaviour were out of control and this caused a lot of fights. I was obsessed with my sister and feared deeply for her wellbeing. I wanted to make sure she would never feel the way I did so kept an eye on her at all times. Which was horribly suffocating for her and made things worse instead of better.  Every little discussion between my siblings and my parents would be interrupted by me, and I always just made everything worse so they would get mad at me instead of my siblings. At that time I thought I was doing the right thing by protecting them from my parents. Now I see that I took every chance for them to stand up for themselves, every normal child/parent discussion experience was hijacked by me and turned into a massive fight over basically nothing.  When I was 18 my mom and I spend too much time in the same house, she worked from home and I refused to go to school or do anything outside of the house really. ( That’s on the Anxiety Disorder ) We are both pretty intense people and this just caused more and more fights. I didn’t see how sick I was and how it was my responsibility to change. (But I also really did not know how to fix the mess I had gotten into. Especially not while living in the environment that was part of the problem. ) I couldn’t get treatment because my eating disorder was too bad for the borderline-therapists to be able to treat me and my borderline caused all eating disorder centers to refuse to help me. I was on my own and it felt like it would never get better.
Long story short, in the end I moved out to a place where I could live on my own with support from professionals who were there for me when I needed them. It was something I both wished for and something that I feared a lot. (thanks to anxiety again.) But I had to go, I knew that staying at home would in the end ruin us all.
It has been about 3 years since I moved out and a lot has changed since then. I don’t have an eating disorder anymore, and I am currently in inpatient treatment for my bpd. Some days I can’t even imagine how it was to still live at home while I was so sick. I can’t imagine doing the things I did then. I can’t imagine the things I said to my mother during the worst periods. Although I can see how sick I was back then ( anorexia fucking ruined every nice thing about me ) I still feel horribly guilty for all that I made my family go through.
Being back home this week brought back a lot of memories, a lot of guilt. A little thing happens and I feel myself slipping back into that girl I was. I feel how I panic when my sister and my mom get in an argument, how I want to control it all. I don’t act on my urges anymore. I know they are just fine even when I don’t intervene on every little argument. They have their lives to live. They have their battles to fight. And I can be there for my sister when she needs me, but I cannot take each inconvenience away from her before it even happens.  And I see it in others too, I don’t finish my food because I’m not hungry and their mood shifts. Someone comments on it and we all travel back to a time where I was 14 and each meal was a fight.
And it hurts. It hurts so much to see how much pain I caused them. And I know it is not all my fault. It was all the different circumstances and people together that caused everything to happen the way it did. And we all have our part in this.  I know that they know that I didn’t do it on purpose. That it was never my goal to hurt them.    And the last part of the writing is about me loving them. I feel like I don’t show this enough, and haven’t showed it enough in the past. How grateful I am, and how much love I carry for them all. ( And therefore the repeat of the last sentence.)

#22 for the writing asks?
[writing ask meme]
how much of your own self/experiences do you believe pours into your projects? if this differs per project, which projects have the most and least of you?
Oh god, a whole hell of a lot. Mainly for The Scarecrow and The Bell and associated works. The story is in no way biographical whatsoever but two major aspects of the story--Kakashi + Rei's relationship, and Rei's mental health struggles--are directly influenced by my own experiences and sense of self. A lot of Kakashi and Rei's relationship from their backstory to their dynamic is honestly pretty heavily influenced by my own relationship with my husband. Rei deals with a whole slew of mental health problems including anxiety, depression, self harm, and an eating disorder, all of which are things that I also struggle with on a daily basis. Writing for her and infusing her character with those same struggles has been really cathartic for me and given me a really great outlet for the bad thoughts in my head. I can fortunately say that I have never gotten nearly as bad with my mental illnesses as Rei has (context: in the current arc of my fic, she's in an inpatient treatment center to deal with her mental health after reaching a severe and near-fatal low point) but, and this might sound sadistic, there have been times when I have genuinely wanted to go apeshit and have instead taken it out on her. Brutal, I know, but are we really writers if we're not torturing our characters I guess? 😅 A lot of Rei's personality is influenced by my own, too, or at least the version of myself I strive to be (sans mental health problems). She is the outspoken, short-tempered, and secretly vulnerable side of myself--a foil to my usual shy/socially anxious self that keeps her mouth shut even when she's uncomfortable that is instead reflected in my OC Mikazuki. And of course I also channel all of my coping with my chronic illness into my OC Sekkachi. All of my OCs really are just little parts of myself that I've cut up and distributed among all the characters living rent free inside my brain.
TL;DR: I pour maybe a little too much of myself into my fanfiction 😂

so i’ve obviously not been around on any of my accounts and there’s a few reasons for that that are pretty much all tied to my personal life. i’ll put it all under a read more because some of it is a bit Much and does come with a trigger warning for sh so don’t read if that’s something you can’t handle.
so the main thing that’s happened has been my mental health spiraling pretty badly about a month or so ago and causing me to relapse. again. pretty badly this time- like close to hitting an artery which is the worst i’ve ever done over the years. because of this and because i’ve become pretty dependent on xanax and ambien to the point that my parents are convinced i’m going to od on accident or on purpose one of these days i’m going to be getting checked into an inpatient treatment center likely in the near future. i’m currently waiting on my therapist to send files and junk to my doctor so that they can start the process of getting my insurance to give the green light on covering it bc of course insurance wants to pay for literally nothing unless you give them a million documents proving necessity.
apart from that i’ve moved with my parents to a new city, my dad got transferred at work so it’s been a lot of getting things unpacked and set up. because of the move and the eventuality of me being committed i’m unemployed which is stressful for me because i’ve still got bills and whatnot so that’s been wreaking havoc on my anxiety.
aaaand that’s pretty much all the major stuff that’s been going on. shit mental health and just a bunch of stuff going on has left me with basically no energy / motivation to be on, i haven’t really had ideas for anything to write and i’ve just been taking a lot of personal time to deal with everything happening right now. my blogs aren’t going anywhere and i’m sure i’ll come back around at some point but for now i think it’s pretty safe to say i’m just gonna have them on a bit of a hiatus for however long.

Navigating Rehabilitation A Comprehensive Guide to Rehabs in Sacramento
Rehabilitation centers play a vital role in providing support and treatment for individuals grappling with substance abuse and addiction. In Sacramento, California, a variety of rehab facilities offer diverse programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual seeking recovery. From outpatient services to residential programs, the options are abundant, providing hope and healing for those in search of a path to sobriety.
Understanding the Types of Rehabilitation Programs: Rehabilitation programs in Sacramento encompass a range of services designed to address different levels of addiction and individual needs. Outpatient programs offer flexibility, allowing individuals to attend therapy sessions and receive support while maintaining their daily routines. These programs are ideal for those with mild to moderate addiction or those transitioning from residential treatment.
On the other hand, residential or inpatient rehabilitation programs provide a more intensive level of care, offering 24/7 supervision and support in a structured environment. These programs are suitable for individuals with severe addiction or those who require a higher level of medical and psychological intervention.
Tailored Treatment Approaches:
Rehabilitation centers in Sacramento employ various treatment approaches to address the complex nature of addiction. Evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing are commonly utilized to help individuals identify triggers, develop coping skills, and modify unhealthy behaviors.
Additionally, holistic approaches including yoga, meditation, art therapy, and equine therapy are incorporated to promote overall well-being and address the underlying issues contributing to addiction. By addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of recovery, these holistic approaches enhance the effectiveness of treatment and support long-term sobriety.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment:
Many individuals struggling with addiction also experience co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, or trauma. Dual diagnosis treatment programs in Sacramento are specially designed to address both substance abuse and mental health issues concurrently. By integrating psychiatric care with substance abuse treatment, these programs provide comprehensive support to address the complex needs of individuals with dual diagnoses.
Aftercare and Relapse Prevention:
Recovery from addiction is an ongoing process that extends beyond the duration of formal treatment. Rehabs in Sacramento prioritize aftercare planning to support individuals as they transition back to their communities. This may include continued therapy, support group participation, sober living arrangements, vocational training, and assistance with developing healthy routines and coping strategies.
Furthermore, relapse prevention strategies are emphasized to help individuals recognize triggers, manage cravings, and navigate challenges without returning to substance use. By empowering individuals with the skills and resources necessary to maintain sobriety, rehab programs in Sacramento promote long-lasting recovery.
Finding the Right Rehab:
Choosing the right rehab facility is a crucial step on the journey to recovery. When selecting a rehab in Sacramento, it's essential to consider factors such as the facility's accreditation, treatment approaches, staff credentials, amenities, and aftercare services. Additionally, individuals should assess their own needs and preferences to ensure a good fit with the program's offerings and philosophy.
Rehabilitation centers in Sacramento play a pivotal role in helping individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. With a variety of treatment programs, evidence-based therapies, holistic approaches, and aftercare services, these facilities provide comprehensive support tailored to meet the diverse needs of each individual seeking recovery. By addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction, rehabs in Sacramento offer hope, healing, and the opportunity for a brighter future.

What to Expect in Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Los Angeles
If you’re planning to enter drug and alcohol rehab in Los Angeles, you may be nervous, scared or overwhelmed. All of those are valid emotions to have about the process, but knowing what to expect can take some of the fear out of it for you. While each rehab facility may operate slightly differently than others, there are some common features you can watch out for as you work toward your recovery.
Withdrawal Symptoms One of the most important things to be prepared for is the withdrawal symptoms that occur when you detox. The symptoms you experience may vary, depending on the substance you are rehabbing from, the severity of your addiction and your body and general health. You may notice one or more of the following as you go through the initial stages of detox.
Sweating Headache Anxiety Fatigue Insomnia Tremors/shaking Nausea and vomiting High blood pressure Irritability Irregular heartbeat
Detox helps address these short term issues so that you can continue the road to recovery, which will include behaviour change and managing your environment and lifestyle choices.
Length of Rehab The amount of time you will spend in rehab varies, based on a variety of factors. In general, you can expect to spend anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks in our facility. The influences on your length of stay may include any of the following:
What substance you are detoxing from How long and severe your use is How much of the substance is currently in your system The severity of your withdrawal symptoms The amount of medical intervention that you need The existence of any comorbid conditions
What Happens During Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Los Angeles? The main thing you will experience during rehab is medically assisted detoxification. This may sometimes include the use of medications, both to speed the process and to make you as comfortable as possible during treatment. Once the short term detox is complete, you will work toward a treatment plan that includes long term tactics, such as therapy, changes to your environment and other steps that teach you to make new choices that don’t involve any substances. Depending on the specific factors that apply to you, there may be additional aspects of your treatment to expect, which may include medication, long term inpatient care or intensive outpatient treatment after detox.
Your Next Steps It’s important to follow your detox treatment plan very closely for the best results. Not only will this help prevent a relapse, but it also ensures that you are able to get sober and stay healthy, especially as you leave rehab and return to your normal daily life. You will work with your care team to create an effective plan that you can stick with, along with providing the support you need as you work toward your treatment goals.
When you are ready for inpatient drug and alcohol rehab in Los Angeles, we can help. Contact Canon Human Services Centers, Inc. today and we can help you get started on your detox journey. We’re here for you, every step of the way.

What is a clinical mental health counselor?
A Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is a person that went through an accredited Masters program with the curriculum that follows CACREP. LMHC’s focus is on wellness and prevention, implementing a holistic approach to counseling and effectively teaching life skills the client may have never been taught. The counselor will initially assess the emotional instability that the client is presenting and affecting their relationships, intruding on their daily life tasks. Once assessed, the counselor would diagnose the client and create a treatment plan that maps out the counselor’s and client’s goals.
In the mid 1700s, the first asylum was opened to act as a peaceful place for the mentally ill to live. However, these “sanctuaries” eventually turned into overcrowded, abusive and unsanitary institutions. Eventually, Psychiatrists intervened and became advocates for the mentally ill.
In the 1800s, Philosophers began theorizing the concept of the mind and the effects of the world around them. Out of Philosophy came Psychology which is also seen in Greek Mythology and Theology. Eventually, in the late 1800s Sigmund Freud coined the term conscious and unconscious mind assisting Psychiatrists in understanding the thinking processes of the mentally ill and an idea to treat the illness.
Licensed Mental Health Counselors were not always well-regarded in the Psychology world. It was not until John F Kennedy signed the Community Mental Health Act in 1963 that opened the door for Mental Health Counselors. This Act recognized the need for counselors and prevention in our communities. After the Vietnam war, soldiers were coming home in bad shape, most showing symptoms of “shell-shock,” now known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The Community Mental Health Act helped establish community wide centers to help individuals and their families dealing with disorders such as, mental illness, for example PTSD, intellectual disabilities, such as Autism, and addiction disorders, such as substance abuse, eating disorders, gambling, etc.  It established a clear need for treatment in multiple stages, like prevention for healthy people before an issue begins, programs like DARE and suicide prevention, as well as establishing a crises hotline. Prevention during,  such as inpatient care and treatment centers and finally, prevention after treatment, continuing to learn life skills and group/individual counseling in the outpatient setting.
In 2011, after many years of lobbying for our profession, the Department of Defense finally recognized the demand for Mental Health Counseling, finally becoming eligible to be credentialed with TriCare, the military insurance for soldiers, retired military, as well as their families.  Eventually, in 1997, Mental Health Counseling was recognized by the ACA, but not eligible for licensure until 2009.
Licensed Mental Health Counselors have come a long way, proving to be an asset to the community. Unlike other allied professions, Mental Health Counselors focus their attention on prevention and wellness. They assist in helping to eliminate the hardship that the client or their family may be experiencing. They teach important skills such as, stress management, time management and other important life skills to alleviate the feelings of anxiety, pressure and worries. They assist in the teaching steps to take care of oneself. Often, patients that are in inpatient treatment might need to be taught necessary life skills in order to get by once they are out of treatment. Such simple tasks as waking up at a normal time, brushing their teeth, showering, even washing their dishes after they eat and not leaving them in the community sink, are just some of the elementary skills that the client can use in the “real world.” Often, mental health counseling may be short term, as once the client is functioning in daily life without emotional stress, they may not feel that therapy is still beneficial. Counselors do recommend maintenance, such as a session every month or quarterly, just to check in.
In conclusion, as one can clearly see, it was an exceptionally long road for the Mental Health Counseling Profession but we made it! We have proven to be a respectful and needed profession in the community and I can not wait to continue my journey towards licensure in Mental Health Counseling.

Alcohol Detoxification Treatment Kolkata
Alcohol detoxification Treatment kolkata, commonly known as alcohol detox, is the process of removing alcohol from the body. It is often the first step in the treatment of alcohol use disorder. Detoxification should be done under medical supervision, especially for individuals with a history of heavy or prolonged alcohol use, as withdrawal symptoms can be severe and even life-threatening.
Here are key points related to alcohol detoxification treatment:
Medical Supervision:
Detoxification from alcohol should be conducted under the supervision of medical professionals, such as doctors or nurses, who can monitor the individual's vital signs and manage any complications that may arise during the process.
Inpatient vs. Outpatient Detox:
Inpatient detoxification occurs in a hospital or specialized detox center, providing around-the-clock medical supervision. Outpatient detox may be suitable for individuals with less severe dependence, allowing them to receive treatment while living at home.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Before detox begins, a comprehensive assessment is conducted to evaluate the individual's physical and mental health. This assessment helps determine the appropriate level of care and treatment plan.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT):
Some individuals may be prescribed medications to help manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Medications like benzodiazepines or antipsychotics may be used under medical supervision.
Fluid and Nutrition Support:
Dehydration is common during detox, so fluid replacement is essential. Nutritional support may also be provided to address any nutritional deficiencies that may have resulted from alcohol use.
Monitoring Withdrawal Symptoms:
Withdrawal symptoms can range from mild to severe. Common symptoms include tremors, nausea, anxiety, hallucinations, and seizures. Medical professionals closely monitor and manage these symptoms to ensure the individual's safety and comfort.
Psychosocial Support:
Emotional and psychosocial support is crucial during detox. Counseling, therapy, and support groups may be introduced to address the psychological aspects of addiction.
Education and Aftercare Planning:
Education about alcohol use disorder, relapse prevention, and aftercare planning are integral parts of detoxification. After detox, individuals are encouraged to continue their treatment in a rehabilitation or recovery program.
Rehabilitation and Ongoing Treatment:
Detoxification alone is not sufficient for long-term recovery. Following detox, individuals are encouraged to engage in rehabilitation programs, which may include inpatient or outpatient therapy, counseling, and support groups.
Individualized Treatment Plans:
Each person's experience with alcohol detox is unique. Treatment plans should be tailored to the individual's specific needs, considering factors such as overall health, history of alcohol use, and any co-occurring mental health conditions.
It's important to note that detoxification is only the first step in the journey to recovery from alcohol use disorder. Comprehensive and ongoing treatment is crucial for addressing the underlying issues and sustaining long-term recovery. If you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol dependence, seeking professional help is recommended. Reach out to healthcare providers, addiction specialists, or treatment centers to explore the most appropriate treatment options.
