Poor Konner... Do He and Others Not Deserve Better Than THIS?
Warning: Short, run-on sentence rant below.
The fact that Kon-El aka Conner Kent aka SUPERBOY, is close to thirty years old now irl, yet has—as far as I’m aware—1. never been acknowledged by SUPERMAN as being his own flesh and blood son (but has been by LEX LUTHOR before) even at times where he did see Superman that way or wished on some level that Superman would claim him 2. been placed and left on the Kent farm multiple times now to be dealt with by them as though he were some secret, burdensome weight that needed to be dropped 3. often been passed up for the Superman mantle and rarely gotten a chance to prove himself a worthy Superman-successor (while other Superman-Franchise characters in the main timeline have and plenty of Batman-Franchise and Wonder Woman-Franchise characters have gotten to succeed Batman and Wonder Woman as well) 4. has had two different versions of himself (and one version of Jon who’s now inappropriately aged up, as well as Kon’s other dad and friends/allies) be abused, punched almost to death, indefinitely imprisoned or even outright killed, by alternate versions of Superman (something no version of LEX LUTHOR has ever even done, unless you count his brainwashing Conner that one time and being all-around horrible in DCAMU’s ROTSM) and 5. constantly been ignored, viewed as an afterthought and is hardly ever seen by Big Blue or Big Bald anymore, much less allowed to spend time with them, to the point where the situation sticks out like an infected thumb and has fans scratching their heads at the illogicality of it...makes my stomach nonstop turn, do flips, twist, convulse and cave in on itself. Why do they hate 90′s-&-Beyond!Superboy, Good-Father!Superman and their loved ones/associates so much! Why couldn’t Jon just be the younger brother of Kon and his or their father’s sidekick? And when will the actual, biological and familial connection between Kal-El, Kon-El and Alexander Luthor be recognized already?!

I wish Batman would fuck with the Joker more. I know he can't. Scratch, I know an important piece of their core dynamic is that he is above it, which opens the way to great contrasts when other characters (ie icon Terry Bats) do. But come on, it would be so easy. It would be free.
During a teamup in Gotham, Bats could dreamily remark that he likes Superman because he makes him laugh. What options does the clownfucker have now? Try to jealously kill fucking Superman or simply dive backwards into the Hudson River. The whole thing would take ten seconds of work, and I don't think there'd be collateral damage. Superman's already there.

i told my friend how interesting it is that Akechi appeared immediately after they defeated Yaldabaoth, while the other phantom thieves' wishes took until after the new year to manifest and my friend said "that probably means joker was thinking of akechi the entire time they were fighting yaldabaoth, wishing he was there with them" and im NOT OKAY ANYMORE

“According to Archmaester Gyldayn, in the eyes of many, the council of 101 AC established an iron precedent on matters of succession: that the Iron Throne could not pass to a woman, or to a male descendant of a woman.“

Its so funny that Makoto gets such an awful rep (usually bc of her treatment of Futaba), but going through the game again, Makoto is the one who leads the conversation into getting her to open up for the palace door. She immediately offers up the idea of just being honest with Futaba; no lies or soft words, just straight facts in a calm voice. She knew Futaba wanted the change of heart, badly enough that shed listen without having to be convinced by force. And when Futaba panics about having to open up, Makoto makes sure she has no chance of backing out (‘give me time to open the door’ ‘ten seconds’ ‘WHAT???!’). Its for her own good!!
I think it can come across as mean and overbearing and even insensitive, especially if you are someone who is sees themself IN Futaba, but Makoto is both incredibly caring, sisterly, and understanding during the entirety of her arc. Like most characters, fandom seems to completely warp and exaggerate very specific moments and traits and sum up entire personalities bc of it. Ryuji and him being stupid; Ann and her being loud and mean; Yusuke being dumb as shit and singleminded for NO discernible reason, etc etc. People took the snooping and her one vaguely insensitive comment (about futaba and her whole Thing) and decided that she was a cunt and a bitch that couldnt be reasoned with.
Its so bizarre. Im aware that every piece of media w vaguely assertive girls has this issue (Sakura, Katara, Aqua, etc etc) but its still crazy that this is prevalent. Shes like the direct mirror of Goro and he does not get this specific kind of hate (usually its ‘he backstabbed and blackmailed us so i hate him’). Sorry. I need to be a Makoto Apologist to protect her from the rest of the world. My girl did nothing wrong shes just weird. She thought she could fight a mafia boss and she was RIGHT! She WON!!!!

i love how viserys and alicent mirror each other in their specific type of weakness. viserys is a weak king being slowly cut to pieces by the iron throne. he’s an indecisive coward: he can’t tell the people he loves hard truths, and he can’t make a decision until someone makes him angry enough to pretend he has a backbone. he’s got otto standing there whispering poison in his ear, and it’s so much easier sometimes to just listen to him, isn’t it?
alicent as she is on the show does what she does and pretends she has no choice at all. to a certain extent, that’s true—she’s a product of a feudalist patriarchal society, and growing up with otto hightower has obviously wrecked her psyche and destroyed her sense of agency. there’s a reason the lighting in their scenes is so dark and filled with shadows on such a bright and beautiful show. but—she didn’t have to go about it the way she did. that was her choice. she had months and months to tell rhaenyra what was going on, if she actually cared enough about her and their relationship. there wasn’t anything alicent could do about the king wanting her once her father sent her to him—or even about her father sending her to him. she’s been in a cage for her entire life, and her claustrophobic fear has its own presence on the screen in those first two episodes. everything she does is understandable. that doesn’t change the fact that the one thing she could have done was tell rhaenyra and she chose not to do it. viserys made that same choice; and eventually he took the choice out of alicent’s hands by asking her not to tell rhaenyra. because he knew what it would to her—they both did, but alicent knew it deeper, knew it better.
all of that leads to the moment when viserys announces their marriage and you can see alicent’s horrible guilt and anxiety in every line of her body. it’s so very like the moment viserys chose to save his son over his first wife and didn’t have the courage to tell her: he watched aemma die and hated himself for it, and alicent stood there and watched rhaenyra’s heart break and hated herself for it.
because she lied (they both lied, the king and his future queen) and she chose and now rhaenyra sees her for what she is. she can’t ever see her any other way, no matter how much alicent tries, because rhaenyra has realized that alicent can’t be trusted even when she is kind and helpful—in the end, she’ll always do what serves (the men in) her family best. it’s a sweeter poison, but it’s still poison. eventually, she’ll stop trying, but for now alicent’s guilt bites at her and she picks at her nails until they bleed, and viserys cuts himself on his throne with his carelessness.

I find it really funny that Rayman from Commandar BeamEagel (You know what I’m talking about) is a TV personality, because in actuality Rayman would never be one! This bitch is lazy! 😂

Yes, he’s a hero, and he can save an entire world, but bad things don’t happen to the Glade much often. Plus, Rayman always seems to have a lot of fun with his job. What Rayman wouldn’t want is to wake up early almost every single day, slip into some uncomfortable clothes, and sit at a cold desk for hours. He probably wouldn’t make it through college, either! Rayman would either dropout, or flunk. lol
If the real Rayman had worked for Eden, he’d be fired in just two weeks. Then after he’s fired, he’d give an unfazed “Oh no,” and just go straight back to bed as if nothing happened.
