Matt Murdock: Forget

Pairing: Matt Murdock x fem!reader (she/her)

Summary: An endless cycle of reviewing is interrupted by some much needed negligence.

Warnings: SMUTTTTT, law student Matt, law student reader, probably inaccurate law school studying, p in v sex, oral (female receiving), finger licking, with a dash of dom!reader.

A/N: Something about Matt in She-Hulk really messed with my head. Here is my first marvel fic (I can’t believe that) for my fellow INFJ and love of my life. Thank you all for your patience in my lack of updates. I hope this makes up for it.

Matt’s nails scratching against the scruff of his face was not helping your focus.

Neither were the rays of the city lights against his darting dark eyes.

He leaned forward on his leather couch, squeaking the fabric against his hard body, and exhaled.

“Okay,” he breathed, staring down at his case-covered coffee table. The clock behind him shined red an ungodly hour of the night as he dragged his long, slender fingers over the braille, and exhaled again.

“We know the defendant’s breach of duty, and we know the plaintiff’s sufferance of an injury.”

You “mhmed” him along as he spoke, grateful he could not see your eyes glued to his hands gliding down the page…

…or so you thought.

“We just don’t have proof that the defendant’s breach actually caused the injury defined through proximate cause.”

You swallowed with another “mhm” and started rubbing your eyes. “Right,” you said after a moment, confirming that you heard him fully.

He sighed again and rubbed at his scruff. He was really really good at that.

“Aka the most important fucking element for a negligence case.”

He stood up at that and placed his hands on his hips. His body somehow broadened even more when he did this, and the white sleeves of his dress shirt from a day of mock court and a night of play pushed further up his forearms.

What the fuck was wrong with you?

You had a final tomorrow morning—actually this morning—and all you could think about was how much you enjoyed seeing your “study buddy” angry.

You rubbed your fingertips against your temples, trying to force yourself to fucking focus, but nothing would work. You knew nothing would work, because on any other night at this hour, the only thing on your mind would be how pretty Matt would look between your legs. Your brain had built those thoughts into your head so consistently that it became a habit. That, combined with being sleep deprived and having the man of the hour standing right in front of you, you were fucked.

Beyond fucked.

And the worst part was, you didn’t even care.

You had met Matt as an L1, first day of Civil Procedure, and something about the way his hair sat, the way his voice sounded, the way he laughed at himself, and the way he moved drew you to him like a magnet.

You had yet to leave that magnetic force, even when your trusted buffer Foggy wasn’t around. After over a year of slowly knowing Matthew Murdock, you had never loved anything else more.

Not that he knew any of that, of course.

The slap of a legal pad hitting the floor broke you from your train of thought, and Matt sat down with a huff.

You took a deep breath, centering yourself. “Why don’t we take a break?”

Matt chuckled. “A break? This entire night has been a break, Y/N.”

He was right. The two of you had gone out, much later than anticipated, and procrastinated studying to the last possible second.

And if it wasn’t for the way he said your name just then, you might have agreed.

“We’ve already been at this for two hours, Matthew,” you snapped back. “We are obviously exhausted, and like you said, we know 99% of the elements on this case. We can wake up early tomorrow, figure that out, and then take the exam afterwards. It will be fresh in our minds.”

You wanted to add and delightfully avoid staring at your stupid fucking eyes for the entirety of the night instead of the task at hand, but decided against it.

“You of all people know that that’s not how it works,” Matt replied. “Sleep is the time when the brain sorts everything together, not an hour before an exam. We need to do this tonight.”

You scoffed. “Speak for yourself. I’m going home.”

That was what made him pause, and the dimples on his cheeks disípate.

“What? You’re leaving?”

“If you’re going to sit here and panic and stress me out then yes, I’m leaving. I’m exhausted, and cramming for this won’t help.”

You stood from your seat, but Matt stood with you. Meeting you at your level, just as he always had.

“We’re in this together Y/N. You’ve said that a million fucking times.”

You breathed through your nose, continuously frustrated at his pattern of remembering seemingly everything you had ever said. “I just need to forget about this for a while, Matt. That’s all.”

With that, he made his way around the coffee table, and creased his eyebrows together fiercely. He moved closer and closer to you as he spoke.

“You think I don’t wish I could forget about this too,” he spat. “Do you honestly think I don’t want to throw all this shit out the window and spend a night with you, enjoying myself for once in my fucking life, and just forget? You think I don’t want that?”

You were frozen solid. It was unlike Matthew’s personality to raise his voice, especially around you.

He breathed rapidly, trying to regain composure.

“My whole life I’ve done what’s good, what’s right. Hell, the entire reason I’m becoming a fucking lawyer is to make things right…but there’s nothing I want less than that right now. There’s nothing I want more than to forget everything in the world but you.”

Your eyes met his unfocused ones, and you took a step closer. An unprecedented confidence overtook you, like the universe was giving you a shove, and you had no fucking clue where it was coming from.

You stood closer than you had ever been to him. Close enough to feel his hot breath on your face and his usual musk of birchwood and peppermint.

“Then forget, Matthew,” you whispered. Boldly. Making up a sexy voice that you had only heard from women in movies. “Forget with me.”

Whatever you did worked, because with one last second of rapid breathing, he slid his hands around your jaw, and attacked your mouth with his own.

Nothing could have prepared you for the addiction that was the feeling of his body against yours and his tongue in your mouth.

You immediately pulled him closer to you by his collar, kissing him so harshly your teeth clashed, and he reciprocated the motion by lifting you into the air. He backed you up into the coffee table and, with his mouth still meeting yours with a fever, single-handedly swiped every document and legal pad off the wood. You gasped as you heard the papers fly through the air and smack against the ground, but at the same time, you pressed against his crotch harder.

Something about him knowing exactly where this was going knocked every rational thought from your brain.

You moved your hands to his face and hair as he laid you down delicately and crawled over you, completely covering you with his body.

Nothing could have prepared you for that feeling either.

He moved to your neck, and his loud breathing mixed with frequent moans sent chills down your body. Your breathing matched his in volume, and you slid your hands under his shirt, desperate to feel more of him. All of him.

You smiled dreamily, already feeling completely fucked out, before asking innocently, “Do you want to taste me, Matty?”

His body shuddered at your ask, and your heart leaped to your throat.

“Please Y/N,” he groaned in your ear, “please.”

Had you ever heard him use that word before?

You chuckled. “Get on with it.”

He removed your clothes so fast you didn’t even have time to wonder why a “blind” person would know how to do that so well.

You pulled his shirt and pants off as well, but when you reached for his boxers, he politely moved your hand away.

“No,” he said softly. “If you touch me anywhere close to there I’m going to drench them.”

He giggled—giggled—at your silence, likely imagining a shocked expression etched upon you, and kissed all around your face.

“What?” he questioned. “I thought sex was about honesty.”

You laughed back. “Not necessarily brutal honesty.”

“We’re lawyers,” he countered, moving down your body with his lips.

“Not yet.”

He smiled and kissed around your stomach and hip bones, breathing deeper and slower. He was slowing himself down.

“Don’t rush me Y/N,” he whispered against your skin. “I’ve waited over a year for this.”

“Trust me, I won’t.”

And then he dove in.

You were surprised your scream didn’t shatter his windows.

He mapped you out so intentionally, so thoroughly, and so unapologetically that it felt different than anything else you had ever experienced. He hit every crevice just enough to leave you wanting more before moving onto the next one, and you dug your nails into his hair to keep you tied down to earth.

“Matthew fu—fuck.”

He grinned and swirled his tongue so perfectly that the familiar rope of heat began to coil in your belly faster than you had ever had.

“I feel you. I feel you. Fuck you’re right there Y/N,” he breathed. He then moved up your body and held his fingers above your lips. You didn’t hesitate to bring them to your mouth and swirl your tongue around them, tasting a mix of his sweat and skin.

You could’ve sworn he drooled at the feeling.

You pressed a kiss to his palm before he went back to work with his fingers instead of his mouth, perfectly lathered, and when he massaged your clit just so, everything inside you imploded.

You regained feeling when Matt brushed a piece of sweaty hair from your forehead and kissed it gently.

“That was the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard.”

You scratched your hands up his naked back and kissed his shoulder. “Just wait until you give me a second one.”

He didn’t laugh at that. “Are you sure?”

You held his face in your hands and rubbed your thumbs over his cheekbones. “I’m sure.”

With that, a smile so big it reached his eyes etched over his beautiful face, and he kissed you long and hard.

“Okay,” he said excitedly, and reached for his discarded pants on the floor. “Alright.”

He pulled out his wallet and tore through it with shaky hands. You laughed and took it from his hands, finding the condom almost immediately.

He couldn’t stop rubbing your body.

“Classy, Murdock.”

“When am I to not be prepared?”

You kissed his nose and dragged your hand down his stomach, tracing every ab, every scar.

“I wish you could see how beautiful you are.”

He hummed, tensing up at the word, and you kissed him softly.

One day you would make him believe it.

“You can take them off now,” he said softly, and you obliged. His cock sprung free, hitting his belly, and you felt your pupils grow almost instantly.

He laughed at your silence. “That bad?”

“Yeah,” you replied, opening the condom with your teeth. “That bad.”

He laughed again, and you slid the condom over his length. He hissed as you did this, arms shaking in restraint, and you pumped him only once.

He growled through his teeth, “Careful.”

You were never that. Not with him.

He lined himself up and kissed you softly, breathing into your mouth, and slid his right hand into yours with a loving squeeze before he entered you.

You knew about Matt’s religious affiliations. You knew how close he held that to his heart and kept his moral code in check, but you weren’t that way, had never been, and never planned to be.

But when he slid inside you and the curve of him entered you just right, you had never believed in God more.

The two of you gasped cohesively when you felt how well you fit together, and Matt stayed still, forcing himself not to instantly snap his hips back.

You squeezed his hand and kissed his cheek. “Let go Matt. I can take it.”

And did he ever.

He rocked into you so intensely you saw stars and every molecule of oxygen from your lungs escaped you. His rocks were hard and deep, touching places inside you you didn’t even know existed.

Matt’s breath was just as stolen, and with every thrust, he had something more to say.

God Y/N you’re perfect.

I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted this, but how worth it it’s been.

I’m going to believe in God for the rest of my life. The rest of my life. What else could have created you?

A single tear dripped down your face, and he licked it away.

“I’m almost there,” he whispered into your ear, and gave your hand another squeeze. “Tell me how to get you there.”

You swallowed. “My—touch me where you touched me before. Right there yes right there.”

You clenched around him, and he sucked in a breath.

Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead down onto you as he said, “I’m…I’m there Y/N. I’m coming.”

You exhaled, drenched in euphoria. “I am too.”

And you went together, just like you always did.

There was nothing left in your body but pleasure. No aches or pains from stress, nor pounding in your head, there was only him. Only Matthew.

He pressed his forehead against you, still inside of you, and kissed down the bridge of your nose.

“I needed that,” he mumbled. “I need you.”

You smiled and rubbed your thumb against his shaking hand, still encapsulated in your own. “I need you too.”

He pecked the side of your mouth before moving his mouth down to your breasts, kissing all around them, before ending his feast on top of your heart. He pressed a longer kiss there before fully collapsing on top of you, exhaling in an entirely different way than before.

“Fuck this test,” he whispered, and you smiled. Feeling only him.

“Fuck this test.”

I’m 5’1”/155cm, very curvy but also surprisingly strong for a woman. Natural blonde with blue eyes but my hair is a different color like every few months (it’s blue right now! 🤭). I pretty much only wear makeup when I go out; the rest of the time it’s only mascara and brows. haiii! i saw your matchups so i wanted to see who you think i’d be good with!

according to online quizzes my godly parent is Dionysus (which is fair). I’m transmasc (they/he) and i don’t really have a dating preference, anyone is fine! Uh i really like to draw/write and i love photography, if you dropped me off in the woods i would entertain myself for hours and come back with millions of photos- I get really bad anxiety over social things, i struggle to order my own food or ask for things. Things had finally quieted down on camp half blood’s infirmary after the whole fighting Gaea incident

On a span of a month, the injured were all properly taken care of, which meant the worst thing Will had to deal with all day was an arrow removal from someone’s ass after the latest game of capture the flag

Usual stuff

He was honestly about to check if one of the Stoll brothers could steal him some snacks to pass the time when he heard screaming from outside the front door

Welp

So much for no work☹️

Checking the window, he saw someone- no wait. It was two people, one of them definitely being the head counselor of the Dionysus cabin, and the other a very freaked out brother of theirs

Oh this was gonna be good

Opening the door, he crossed his arms as he caught the end of the discussion the siblings were having

“…swear by the gods I’ll NEVER catch the flu, I can PROMISE you that” You pleaded to your sibling and counselor

“How can you promise not to get sick? Quit the bs and get the damn shot already, you’re the only one in the cabin who hasn’t and I swear by our father’s name that if someone gets sick because of you and your fear of needles you’re going down” Your sibling threatened as they pushed you up the few steps of the infirmary’s entrance

“No wait WAIT- I’ll do anything you want, I’ll clean the whole cabin by myself before inspection” you begged

“Not if you get sick you won’t” your sibling said

“What if I swear by the river Styx I won’t get sick?” You asked

“Are you actually insane-“ Your sibling asked

“I swear by the river Sty-“ you interrupted

“Hey, okay. Let’s stop that before you get yourself fried up over a cold” Will interrupted you this time, probably saving you from the never ending pain of breaking an oath made by the river Styx

Honestly, that actually sounded better than getting the gods damned flu shot. You weren’t kidding when you told your sibling you couldn’t do needles, you felt like throwing up

“Special delivery for ya Will, Good luck!” Your sibling yelled as they betrayed you, power walking back to y’alls cabin

Leaving a slightly shaken you with a very amused Will

Inside the infirmary, your leg bounced up and down high speed as you sat on Will’s office, waiting for him to bring back something for your stomach which was already very upset with the stress the whole situation was causing you

“Here, a sip should do the trick” Will said as he gave you a small cup of nectar, which lessened your discomfort considerably

“Thanks” you muttered, still very much anxious

“Look, I’m not going to do it against your will, but I could make it practically painless. What do you say?” Will asked, looking for some supplies

“If I gave you like, three whole dracmas, would you tell my counselor I got the shot?” You quickly asked

“What?”

“Make it four, no- five! It’s all I have on me right now-“

“Look- just, let’s just breathe a little alright? I’m not taking that weak ass bribe. That wouldn’t even get me a ride on the Gray sisters taxi, pipe down” Will finished

You scoffed out an incredulous laugh, seemed like you weren’t getting out of this one

“How about some music?” Will suddenly asked as he eyed the portable CD player you were carrying

Demigods weren’t allowed to use a phone since it was practically a monster magnet, but you didn’t mind it much seeing as you absolutely loved collecting Physical CDs of your favorite artists and bands. If you had music, you were good

You nodded, maybe that would help

Will opened a cabinet which you thought was probably packed up with medical supplies

To your surprise, it was actually completely filled with CDs and vinil records, a full on collection on display

Will was Apollo’s son after all, music was a big deal for him too. Being the best healer of the Apollo cabin made him spend a lot of time in the infirmary, so music definitely helped him get through the day

Your eyes were practically shining as you stared at the cabinet. Will seemed to be looking for something specific in it

“Here! This is my favorite-“ Will said as he took a CD out of his collection, handing it to you

“Oh what the fuck” you interrupted, taking your cd player out and pressing a button to open it, showing Will what was inside

The exact same CD Will was holding out, from the exact same band

You both smiled at each other

That was the start of HOURS of conversation, y’all only sat back down when Will had showed you everything he had on that cabinet

The conversation was so fluid that you guys ended up talking about a lot of things, getting to know each other, finding out you had more in common than you thought

Will was very appreciative of the arts in general, being an Apollo kid, it came naturally to him

Just as you were talking about your photography obsession, you both heard a few knocks at the main infirmary entrance

“Will? Uh- you guys alright in there? Did it go well?” Your head counselor inquired hesitantly

“Shit”

You and Will eyed each other, your eyes wide

Will checked the time, you had only a a few minutes before the harpies would end anybody that was out of their cabins

You both had absolutely lost track of time

And weirdly, you didnt seem to mind

“Okay, we can do this. I’ll give you the shot now okay? I’m just going to let your sibling know, I’ll be right back” Will said as he quickly made his way to the main entrance

Okay maybe now you did mind it a little bit

And that’s how you ended up with your eyes tightly shut, sweating an abnormal amount while Will applied some rubbing alcohol where he was going to stab you apply the shot

“Hey, I swear you won’t feel a thing if you give me those dracmas you promised” Will tried to lighten the mood

You didn’t respond, heart beating fast, nerves about to explode

Then you felt a warm hand in your arm

“Hey, it’s alright”

You opened your eyes to see Will’s directly in front of yours

He had lowered himself so he was at your eye level. And he was close, really close

“You’re going to be alright.” His tone was lower, softer

“Here” He put the earphones of your CD player into your ears

As your favorite song started playing loudly in your ears, Will smiled, mouthing a “Trust me”

He got up, directing himself to our side to apply the shot

Your hand tightened around the chair’s handle, you were still nervous, but way less then before

But your heart was still beating fast. Strange.

“So, on three?” You asked Will

“Already done” Will said, cleaning your arm up

You were still silently watching him, your eyebrows raised high

“So, you said you liked to take pictures right? The strawberry field is insane in the morning” Will started as he threw the syringe he used on you away

“Want me to show you a nice spot tomorrow?” He asked, eyeing you with a small smile

“Ah- yeah, sure” you blurted out

“Okay then, it’s a date”

Hiii, congrats on your 300+ followers. I saw some of your match up posts and I'm so curious (and exciting, too) about it. So I would like to ask for a HSR and Genshin match up. But if you don't do multiple, then you can do just a HSR match up.~

I'm an INFJ with Scorpio sun. I would say I'm an old soul with a carefree, sometime childlike, personality. Let me make it clear.~ I enjoy philosophical topics and deep conservation. And history and historical things always get my attention. I'm always attracted to vintage or academic things and activities like museum, classical literature and music, languages studying... Even my fashion style get affected by my academic aesthetic obsession. But I know how to make a good joke and enjoy my time, too. When I'm surrounded by my familiars, I can get childish and clingy. That's how I show my trust, by putting down my hyper-independent mask and letting myself get vulnerable around them. Towards strangers, I can be seen as aloof and quiet. And it needs many many and maaaaany effort for me to warm up to anybody.

I'm quite competitive, at least in academic field. Maybe it's the post-gifted-kid syndrome, lol. When I set my eyes on something, I will neglect everything to achieve my goal. So you can assume that my health is not always in good shape (the truth is I get sick often, haiz). But that doesn't mean I don't know when I should stop. Instead, I'm proud to say I know how to keep myself in check when my competitive tendency could do bad things to other people. Normally, I'm type of people to just go with the flow. Some of my friends may say I'm a softie if the problem doesn't bother me too much to make me feel annoyed. And when I'm annoyed, that's a different story. Safe to say I can make a grown-up man cry with my words. You don't have to always use violence to solve things.

I think I have talents in learning languages. I can speak 3 languages and currently I'm learning another one. Yet, my major is business administration. You know, economy major is always a safe choice.

I'm quite short. But I think 155cm is an average height for an Asian so never mind. I have long black hair (oh I loooove long hairs in general, including my hair too, safe to say I love playing with my friends' hairs dguahuihhwh), dark brow eyes and soft feature with plump lips (my favorite features~) and a beauty mark on my right chin, right under my mouth (yes my favorite features again hehe). But my friends prefer my round full cheeks or my doe eyes (hm, and I think my eyes are rather sad, not doe-eyes much).

If I'm super into a song I can (and will) listen to it on repeat a ridiculous number of times. Yesterday I listened to Meat and Greet by Ice Nine Kills 66 times. Not an exaggeration.

I've never been pulled over or been a driver in a car accident (but I'm terrified of both).

I have tons of art supplies because I want to do All the Things but due to hyperfixation, when I do have the energy to be creative, I do exactly One Thing nonstop until I drop it for something else.

I've moved from one coast to the other 3 times.

My first real obsession was with Labyrinth (and by relation Bowie) so I feel like 20+ years down the line, my obsession being Ghost isn't surprising.

My favorite Ghost song is Dance Macabre (with Square Hammer as a very close second), but IMO Cirice is Ghost's best song overall. The first two make me indescribably happy but I feel like Cirice is a masterpiece (if that makes sense).

As my keyboard becomes a Time Machine, let me transport you through the stages of my digital marketing enlightenment in this blog. So, I really thank my professor Mr C Vigneshwaran who has given me this assignment to blog about my journey of learning Digital Marketing, from the beginning of my first class, till date. On that note, let me begin with why I chose this elective rather than taking the other option that was given to me. To be brutally honest, I knew that the faculty who was going to take this was very kind because he has handled me and my fellow classmates the Machining Technology lab and Metrology Laboratory during our 4th and 5th semester. It was weird, for me to know that a faculty who taught us how to machine different workpieces and calibrate Vernier Calliper, Screw Gauge and Slip Gauges was going to teach me a subject called Digital Marketing which was not even a technical subject that relates with production engineering or even just engineering for a matter of fact.

On getting into the deets- my very first class was on 21st of June, Wednesday. It is not about what I remember, I just know my classes began that day. It was chaos right before class that day as the classroom the classroom that was allotted to us was the Automation Lab but unfortunately there were some issues with the projector. Right then we shifted to our neighbouring lab, the Metrology Lab. We had one of our senior, talking about his experience in learning Digital Marketing and creating his own website. One of my friends questioned the senior about something technical related to the subject, I do not really remember what it was but then I remembered sir telling him to ask anything but technical as it was his duty to make us learn and understand the subject, and that is when the respect level for my professor increased to top g. That was the only think that drove me the interest to learn about Digital Marketing. But right after exactly 4 class hours, I did not attend classes for the next 14 class hours as I was embarked to my journey to the University of Leeds to attend a summer school.

I kept tabs on what happened during class and all I knew was what happened during the 4 classes I attended- that personalities matters when there is a need to market about any product at any time and that was when we were made to take the personality trait test. I got INFJ-T. It was very accurate, and I also found that myself and my classmate or one of my best friends Kavinselvan, we share the same personality. So far, whatever I have learned in this subject was totally and in entirety on my own because of my absence for a month. So far, I have learned and understood that  digital marketing has become a game-changer in the business world, and it's no surprise why. With the rise of the internet and social media, companies now can reach a global audience and connect with their target market like never before. Here are a few reasons why digital marketing is the bomb:

1. Increased Reach: Traditional marketing methods have limitations on how far your message can reach. With digital marketing, you can reach a global audience, breaking down geographical barriers and expanding your customer base.

2. Enhanced Targeting: Digital marketing allows you to target specific demographics, interests, and behaviours. This level of targeting ensures that your message is reaching the right people, increasing the chances of conversion and ROI.

3. Cost-Effective: Traditional marketing methods, such as TV or print ads, can be expensive and may not guarantee results. Digital marketing offers cost-effective solutions, such as social media advertising, email marketing, and search engine optimization, which can deliver high returns on investment.

4. Measurable Results: With digital marketing, you can track and analyse your campaigns in real-time. This data provides valuable insights into what is working and what is not, allowing you to make data-driven decisions and optimize your strategies for better results.

5. Improved Brand Engagement: Digital marketing platforms offer various channels for businesses to engage with their audience. Whether it is through social media, email marketing, or content creation, digital marketing enables brands to interact, build relationships, and foster brand loyalty.

6. Flexibility and Adaptability: In the digital world, trends and consumer behaviours can change rapidly. Digital marketing allows businesses to quickly adapt their strategies to meet evolving market demands. This flexibility ensures that you stay ahead of the competition and maintain relevance in your industry.

7. Integration with Offline Marketing: Digital marketing does not mean abandoning traditional marketing methods entirely. In fact, digital marketing can enhance offline marketing efforts, such as using QR codes on print ads to drive traffic to your website or utilizing location-based targeting for mobile advertising.

In conclusion, digital marketing is the bomb because it enables businesses to reach a wider audience, target specific demographics, and achieve measurable results at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing methods and by embracing digital marketing strategies, if I create a business, I can take my business to new heights and become a social media guru in no time.

I was also asked by my professor to find my niche, and my micro niche. I am still in search for it. And in no time, I am sure I am going to find it. But when we must do marketing about anything, we must have figured out our niches, micro niches, just to find and attract the customers who are also interested in the same. In this fast-pacing world, nobody has time for anything that they do not want. If we want to grab people's attention, then we need to do the extraordinary. And in order to do the extraordinary to marketing, we must ask ourselves the following right questions at the right time:

1. What are your short term and long-term goals?

2. What challenges are you facing now?

3. What challenges are you expected to face in future?

4. Who are your prospects and how to attract them?

5. Who are you competitors?

6. How much you should invest in marketing programme?

7. What is your expected Return on Investment ROI?

Ranking the ENHYPEN Members from Most to Least Likely to Get Unhealthily Obsessed with Kim Sunoo

Before we begin, I must tell you all that I have posted this before on the other blue app already. Some agreed, some did not—but that's fine. We all have different ways of looking at things, and each and every perspective is valid.

I have to emphasize, though, that this list focuses on the member's potential to be unhealthily obsessed with Sunoo. Knowing everything about him might be the signs of obsession, but it doesn't already or necessarily mean it's unhealthy. I rely on you all to have a respectful discussion on this one come what may, because people on the other blue app took it upon themselves to feel offended because their fave did not top the list (as if that was a bad thing) and ended up cursing at others who does not think the same as them (which, in my opinion, is really immature).

Moreover (this starts to sound like an academic essay, I apologize), I must point out several more things about this list:

This is not a ship ranking. If this was, you better believe Jongseong would be on No. 1.

I do not claim to be right. This is a ranking made on things I know, I've seen, and I've noticed about the members. I have a different set of priorities (i.e. I think spending time with someone is much more appealing than knowing every single thing they do), so my ranking mostly relies on how I view unhealthy obsession.

No. 1 : JUNGWON

Self-explanatory. Jungwon saw Sunoo on that gym and decided he’ll be friends with Sunoo-hyung or die trying. Eyes never leave Sunoo; Sunoo does something, Jungwon knows it (he isn’t ENHYPEN’s CCTV for nothing). The most fearless amongst the members when it comes to expressing affection toward Sunoo, icon of courage and bravery. Gives off intense tries-something-amazing-Sunoo-hyung-you-have-to-check-this-out energy; he lives for Sunoo's feedbacks. Probably has a long list of things he wanted to try doing with Sunoo (Read: The Many Times Jungwon asks Sunoo Out: A DJ OOJUNG Saga), plus elaborate plans on how to carry them out (Read: Amusement park date).

No. 2 : JAKE

I cannot defend this man; how many times has he proposed to Sunoo by now? Totally lost count. Would’ve topped this list if Jungwon wasn’t such a fucking menace, and if SunJake did not have that period where Jake does not know how to deal with the entirety of Sunoo post-debut. Worry not though, mans learned how to and found the answer in kneeling down to propose to Sunoo every chance he gets. Totally clingy when given the opportunity, but it has to be a very wide door of opportunity (if it isn’t, he breaks the wall down and makes it wide himself).

No. 3 : SUNGHOON

Another lost case. When Sunoo talked to him during that one I-Land moment I believe we all know about, Sunoo had him wrapped around his fingers forever. Problem is: dude doesn’t know how to go about it so he decides to mask this immense confusion and denial as playful remarks. And his hobby is watching Sunoo’s cute fancams—not sleeping, or watching dramas, or listening to music, I mean, how am I supposed to defend him after that? A bumbling mess in Kim Sunoo’s presence—not that we can really blame him. We’re all a bumbling mess for Kim Sunoo.

No. 4 : HEESEUNG

Hides his obsession pretty amazingly, but not perfectly. Boy slips from time to time and lets go of information he wouldn’t have known about Sunoo unless he was watching him like a fucking hawk (Read: [About Sunoo] He really wants to be an INFJ.). Plays it cool and pretends he isn’t the least bothered by Sunoo, but he is. HE IS—if all those OT7 lives he was caught fondly staring at Sunoo are enough indications. He’s much more clueless than Sunghoon on dealing with the idea of Sunoo, and we can’t blame him, too. Totally understandable. Lately though, he’s been getting braver re: MANIFESTO in the US. We love that for him. Also, it’s worth pointing out that he has that particular power of rendering Sunoo so shy, so props to our man. 

No. 5 : NI-KI

Ni-Ki is the perfect example of tiptoeing that line between smitten and obsessed. Kid is clearly enamored by his Sunoo-hyung and can perfectly express it without pretending he’s not bothered by it whatsoever, because he isn’t. Still, he’s just a kid trying to deal with the perfection that is Kim Sunoo, so he still ends up slipping from time to time, as can be seen by this specific clinginess he has reserved for Sunoo (Read: Sleepwalking to Sunoo's Bed). In the same way, I believe Sunoo has this specific adoration reserved only for Riki, so that's pretty cool of them. Ni-Ki knew how to push all of Sunoo's buttons and when Sunoo actually responded, he's got 0 bullets to fire his gun now. Addendum: Most challenges to this list have been directed at No. 5, citing how much Ni-Ki knows about Sunoo. That is valid, but I have to say it does not look like the makings of an unhealthy obsession for me. He does not push Sunoo to do certain things or act a certain way: if any, he seems like he really respects Sunoo's preferences, and that for me, is really, really healthy (and adorable).

No. 6 : JAY

Tricky. He's clearly smitten with Sunoo, but this is as casual as it can get for him. It's as casual as breathing for Jay, so he doesn't pay this much attention. Still, this does not erase the fact that he can be a total madman trying to please Sunoo every time he can: sees a nice restaurant? Must bring Sunoo here. Finds a good perfume? Must give Sunoo a try. He's like another version of Jungwon in this note, minus the assertion. Jay does not know how to assert anything with Sunoo, so he plays it as the Wanna Try This? game and just settles however Sunoo responds. If anything, it might be Sunoo who's obsessed with Jay, but we can't really conclude it this way because Sunoo is a really, really clever mind and if he wanted, he can act a certain way exactly how he intends to. Jay's obsession levels with Sunoo is more of a conscious decision rather than the aftermath of any specific event, hence why he is ranked at the bottom of this list.

I'm an INFJ with Scorpio sun. I would say I'm an old soul with a carefree, sometime childlike, personality. Let me make it clear.~ I enjoy philosophical topics and deep conservation. And history and historical things always get my attention. I'm always attracted to vintage or academic things and activities like museum, classical literature and music, languages studying... Even my fashion style get affected by my academic aesthetic obsession. But I know how to make a good joke and enjoy my time, too. When I'm surrounded by my familiars, I can get childish and clingy. That's how I show my trust, by putting down my hyper-independent mask and letting myself get vulnerable around them. Towards strangers, I can be seen as aloof and quiet. And it needs many many and maaaaany effort for me to warm up to anybody.

I'm quite competitive, at least in academic field. Maybe it's the post-gifted-kid syndrome, lol. When I set my eyes on something, I will neglect everything to achieve my goal. So you can assume that my health is not always in good shape (the truth is I get sick often, haiz). But that doesn't mean I don't know when I should stop. Instead, I'm proud to say I know how to keep myself in check when my competitive tendency could do bad things to other people. Normally, I'm type of people to just go with the flow.
