Something I feel I can ramble about about these. As most of my followers know I love prowrestling and I love drawing. Most of you know I’ve been enjoying junk journaling for a while and dabbling in different forms of mixed media.

Usually for local shows, I like to create art pieces that I get signed for myself and before the pandemic I was making sure that the talent got a copy too. Not only do I enjoy having something of my own signed, I love the reactions of someone seeing something I created for them.

Fast forward to present, digital is currently hard for me. Creating wrestling art is hard for me because of certain events at the beginning of the pandemic, but I miss it. I miss my community and I miss making gifts. So I created these purely for the athletes. My little index art cards and I was nervous. My prints always look so much more professional. Some people appreciate a home made look, others find it cheap/chintzy.

These were so well received. I got a commission offer at the merch table and the other two were taken with delight. It also means so much to me because this mixed media is something I want to do and expand into commissions and something personal to sell. I love creating with my hands and this was a huge affirmation as everything in the wrestling community usually is with me.

It was so positive and after a lot of imposter syndrome and trauma it was such a good thing to reaffirm my place in myself.
