Yeah, I was seeing some of this while on my hiatus. I REALLY don't take this as any kind of proof. The stunt man didn't 100% confirm it. Just hinted at it. And he's not an official source. I'll just give you some of what my fellow theorists dug up while I was on hiatus.

I went lurking last night on a Carol site that talked about this I tell you what I'll try to go find it again so you guys can see it. I think this is bs. Supposedly it's now up on some site that Melissa has joined the cast. Oh and this is in France you know where Norman is not right now.

Apparently they are doing some filming That was supposed to start this week I'm thinking that they're they're closing out some scenes and things that he's not going to be in anyway. Apparently there was a cast call for a over 50 woman with salt and pepper hair. So they're now certain that that means that she will be a stand-in for filming for Melissa.

Okay I'm going to send you a bunch of stuff that you can read for yourselves. Last night after we saw the picture of Norman in LA it just made me wonder what the carylers were talking about now with him being in LA. I went over and checked it out and who knows. I just find it quite unrealistic that suddenly Melissa is going to start filming a s2 and there has not been an announcement from AMC tptb.

So you guys read it and tell me what you think.

So, I want to point out that what @wdway said is right. I had people telling me, even before I went on hiatus last week, that Norman was back in France and filming for S2 would have begun while I was on hiatus.

Nope. He's in LA doing some work on Death Stranding 2. Several pictures proving this have been posted.

Again, it doesn't prove 100% that there WON'T be a season 2 of the Daryl spinoff, but it's not filming yet and it hasn't been confirmed. So again, just take this with a huge grain of salt.

The other thing that sort of makes me shake my head is that even with everything they claim they "know," even they are saying that she's only needed for the first episode. Now, maybe we just haven't heard about other episodes, yet. Maybe it will be more than that. You can make any argument you want here. But only being in one episode would NOT make her the star of the second season or even a very big part of it. That almost sounds more like a flashback sequence to me.

And hey, Melissa could very well film for it. But it's still not going to be what certain fandoms are claiming.

So, totally becoming a broken record over here, but please just remember not to believe everything (or even most things) you read on the internet. They're all claiming they "know" these things about the show and it's direction, but 95% will turn out to be incorrect.

How do I know that? Because it's been that way with these shipping fandoms for 10 years. As Dr. Phil likes to say, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. And who has been correct about 90% of it's predictions. That would be Team Delusional.
