The Premier of my province and I shared the article on my Facebook saying "LOL! No they don't. speaking from experience." Fucking fucktard he is 😡. When we're queer and we do not tell our parents there's a reason 99% of the time, so kindly don't out us, it isn't you fucking place as an educator, or as in my case and 'counsellor' it's called breaking code and trust.

She’s been a paragon of Leftist law enforcement, educational, cultural, and fiscal ideologies, so we can be certain she’ll be rewarded somehow. There’s probably a lucrative gig on MSNBC or a cushy job in the Biden administration (or both) in her future.

Why doesn't the justice league know about Amity Park?
Okay so it's been a bit sonce I watched the show but one of the things in DpxDC is the anti-ecto acts, which I love, but correct me if I'm wrong, I THINK ??? they only show up in reality trip? SO: What if Danny, when using the gauntlet to undo everything, also got rid of the Anti-Ecto acts? but this is babys first time editing reality so he uh Fucks Up A Lil'. As a result when Danny used the reality gauntlet to wipe the AEA from existence he accidentally wiped Amity Park from perception. A big 'nothing matters over here' jedi mind trick, and now no ones looking at Amity. So, the Justice League actually WERE looking into and monitoring the situation in Amity, but when the perception filter closed them off, all of that suddenly went ignored.
This is noticed when someone (Alfred, Dick, Tim, literally anyone) realises theres just. A BIG dusty pile of case files semi abandoned somewhere in the cave when going through a (time period)ly cave cleaning.
They put it down because it's Not Important.
They come back to finish the cleaning the next day and do the exact same thing, but there's nothing to actually distract them this time and it pings as weird. Because why would case files be not important? They are by definition important, because only things flagged as important go into case files.
They try to get someone else to read it, because as long as they don't read the information in the file, they don't put it down.
That person goes to read it, gets a line in and then says something like 'that isn't important' and goes to leave. Person A pushes it and person B ALSO catches on.
Que the Batfam trying to figure out hey, what the fuck actually?
Meanwhile, how is Amity fairing? Canon compliant everything's going alright? Or have knock on effects to No One Look Here started to show?

obsessed with how ren's monarchy is somehow slowly turning into some kind of catholic school pro-abstinence anti-drug campaign. was that the vibe they were going for because they've captured it perfectly

This is pornography of violence. It is grotesque, it is beyond imagination. We are forced to broadcast our Israeli brothers and sisters being shot down on live TV. A woman was broadcast crying on TV after she called the news as Hamas operatives were working to break into her house. I'm sitting here in tears unable to process the situation.
I urge everyone to log off and let the news do their jobs. Our privilege as citizens is to not be subjected to these horrors. Let the soldiers do their job, let the situation die down - Then we will wreck havoc in protests against our government who allowed this to happen.

« Since Republicans took control of the House following the 2022 midterms, the U.S. has faced a crisis of governance. Unable to quit their own petty infighting, caught up in ugly leadership squabbles, and unwilling to move without the blessing of Donald Trump, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson now commands a Congress well past the brink of disaster. After being unable to pass necessary legislation and wasting endless hours on a faux impeachment inquiry of Biden that is going nowhere, Republicans have generated such a maelstrom of incompetence that it’s putting millions of lives and the stability of the planet at risk. »
— Mark Sumner at Daily Kos.
George W. Bush is undoubtedly relieved that because of Donald Trump, Dubya will not be remembered as the worst president of the 21st century. Similarly, Kevin McCarthy must be delighted that "MAGA Mike" Johnson makes him seem almost competent.
Republicans simply can't be trusted to govern. They view government only as a device with which to conduct culture wars.
Speaker Johnson's only qualifications for office are that he has Trump's approval and the (conditional) backing of the so called Freedom Caucus.
Help limit the tenure of "MAGA Mike". Support the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to put Republicans back in the minority in the House of Representatives.

torchwood is so "outside the government, beyond the police" because neither of those things are beneficial to society whilst the work torchwood does is for humanity's own safety <3

As I now read that the state or federal government intentionally murdered dozens of people with a wildfire in Hawaii, I am once again wondering whether there is such a thing as a natural disaster or a genuine catastrophe in the minds of terminally online people who think everything was done by Them
And like
Every single time? Nothing bad has ever just happened? And it’s never incompetence or neglect? It’s always malice? It’s always because They planned it?

This year's school comic anthology theme was "evolution"; my class' mass collaborative project had the theme "metamorphosis" voted upon; there was a student gallery hosted here under the theme of springtime, resurgence, and rebirth; and I believe one of the journalism clubs wanted submissions for an anthology under the theme "RAGE." More than in the last ten or so years, it's sounding increasingly like people are waiting for something to give. Am I imagining the smell in the air?

A couple of weeks ago, the ACLU, plus the Missouri Library Association (disclaimer: I am a member of the MLA) and the Missouri Association of School Librarians filed a lawsuit over newly-passed SB 775, that would ban "sexually explicit materials" from schools-- defining "sexually explicit" to mean "materials that acknowledge that queer people exist." It is already illegal in Missouri, as everywhere else in the United States, for people under the age of 18 to access pornography. Additionally, librarians, publishers, and teachers are all trained on how to evaluate and screen materials to help parents find something appropriate for their kids. So this happened: "Republican House Budget Committee Chairman Cody Smith’s budget proposal, unveiled Tuesday, would cut all $4.5 million in state funding that libraries were slated to get next fiscal year.
"Smith said he’s upset that state and school libraries are suing to overturn a new Missouri law that bans sexually explicit material in school libraries. He said the state shouldn’t subsidize the lawsuit with funding." Rep. Smith: the Missouri Library Association is funded with member dues. *facepalm emoji*
