The more and more Jason Todd/Red Hood I read of, be it elseworlds, webtoons, main books what have you. Titans TV. I mean it, anything.

I just always read him as /not straight. It's an accumulative weird thing.

When webtoons pose him in identical posture and expression with Batwoman with their emblems being literally the same red bat chest to chest. Brains thinks, "same".

When he juxtaposed as "the other girl in the girl team" in that same comic.

When the Gotham Knights comicbook from back in the day had Barbara and Jason flashback, where he as a tiny wet Robin, smokes menthols on the docks.

When his character is forced into a relationship, that is colored romantic, and it just feels forced.

When the cover featuring him has him in a distinct female woman power pose.

I can't even label it right.

Many like to headcanon him as what have you from aroace to gay to bi to anything on the spectrum, and it always feels more accurate than whatever him and Artemis in RHATO or Webtoons Outlaws have.

His character is coded in text and in meta IRL shenanigans as a female character. Like, heavily so.

Still, it's not a sole and only reason for this reading?? Cannot be. Something else tingling this spider sense that I usually absolutely lack.

I dunno I dunno, something something Tim Drake inherited all that was supposed to be Jason's. Weird huh?

all the hullaballoo about ai art has me rolling my eyes every time i see it. i view it similar to piracy in that, like, i wasn't going to commission you anyway, you know? most people who fuck around with it aren't your customer base. i didn't even know who the fuck so-and-so was before all this lol

plus: you can't get it to spit out anything specific. if i want an actual depiction of one of my characters, i need to do it myself or commission someone to do it for me. i can't make it spit out art of my characters + others. i can't make it spit out lewds of my characters, not even on mage.space. i can barely get that one to give me a good-looking dick. if i want art of my character fucking another person's character or some smutty fanart (or fanart in general of most things) it needs to be done by hand. etc.

basically, it rarely actually gives you want you want. it's "good enough" sometimes. "passable." and sure "it's getting better" but it will never give me a 100% accurate representation of even my most basic blorbo. if i want something that depicts what i see in my mind's eye i still need to do it myself or work with someone.

besides: the most recent version of stable diffusion rectifies most people's problems with it already.

the only thing i don't like is when people are like "good drawing :D" like no, it isn't a drawing. it's a computer-made creation. similar to a fractal. people who straight-up enter ai art into fine arts competitions are the scum of the earth, too, like, dude, at least use your result as a reference for something you paint on a canvas with your own hand, yeah?

like, it's a great tool for that: creating reference imagery. don't know what to paint? throw in some words in this here text box and bam hey there's an idea. want a pose? throw in some words. bam, instant pose, though it might be a bit fucked up-looking. want a costume design for an oc? or even something you might wanna try making by hand yourself irl out of actual fabric? yea. etc

I was thinking about the planet Betazed from Trek and how quiet it must be in some cities. Like Betazoids are telepaths and in TNG Lwaxana Troi implies that clearly she thinks talking is overrated, surely she isn't alone in that opinion?

For a start your conversations would be more private.

Maybe you could walk around a city center and most people are just staring at each other in apparent silence unless they get animated inside thier heads or something, and in that case do they shout telepathically too?

Before aliens showed up and the federation happened did they have mass entertainment like a mind tv or mind radio or maybe even just fully project scenes into peoples minds like some sort of VR. if so could you actually block that out with something like a tinfoil hat? It must be a really peaceful place (or if you didn't have context it must look like the uncanny valley full of NPCs).

Just wanted to consider what life would be like there since Trek tends to tar entire planets with the same brush most of the time so we only see the surface (except Bajor obviously)

Honestly, there's something about the sheer horror on Spock's face when he thinks he's killed Kirk in amok time that always hits me like a fucking truck.

Now, I know this discussion probably isn't anything new to the spirk community, but jesus christ. Every time I watch that scene, I go from "Oh my god this is so gay. How the hell did the writers and production team not look at shatner and nimoy rolling around in the sand together and go 'yeah seems totally heterosexual' " to "Oh my god. This is so fucking sad."
