🌱 - Do they have a green thumb or are they a plant killer? 💀 - How do they feel about horror movies? 💓 - What are some signs they’ve fallen for someone? How do they show their affection? \\ for Inanna
🌱 - Do they have a green thumb or are they a plant killer?
Inanna definitely has a green thumb. Her father is a botanist and passed his craft on to her, and she grew up beneath the boughs of the Black Shroud. Though she does not actually have many plants of her own, owing mostly to her nomadic lifestyle, she has a knack for figuring out what ails the plants around her and is an excellent gardener and botanist.
💀 - How do they feel about horror movies?
In alternate universes, Inanna would love horror movies. The more psychological or supernatural the film, the better, though she does also love campy flicks and hack and slash films. She makes for a fun movie watching partner, her reactions always worth paying attention to. She doesn't get scared by just any cheap jumpscare, but when she does get scared, her feline features are very expressive.
💓 - What are some signs they’ve fallen for someone? How do they show their affection?
She's actually quite good at hiding her feelings, mostly because she rarely lets herself acknowledge them. Vulnerability is a dangerous thing in her line of work. So to the untrained eye, her heart seems quite impenetrable. But this is far from the truth.
The Warrior of Light shares her heart with many of those closest to her, her capacity for love almost limitless. When she was little, her mother would often laughingly say she falls a little in love with everyone she meets, which is how she ended up eventually meeting Inanna's Maman, Sélene. Her parents taught her that love is not something to be limited, but should instead be shared.
As far as signs go, Inanna's are all body language. She keeps her distance naturally from most people, and carefully preserves her personal space. Around those she is most comfortable with, however, she almost subconsciously drifts into their space, her affections manifesting through body language. Small brushes, arm against arm and hand against hand; leaning her head on the object of her affections' shoulder; brushing her tail against their hand or curling it around their leg subconsciously; trusting them enough to fall asleep around them; etc.

Arcana LIs with an MC who has an Undercut
DNI
So I'm comin out of my hiatus a bit more officially with this hc list from my drafts! I have a few more ideas, as well as the third and final part to my MC with Plague Flashbacks series (Part 1 here, cough (I am so sorry to @/dameschnee123 for taking so long--))
This is super self indulgent, I started writing this not long after I got an undercut of my own. To anyone reading this who's considering an undercut get one I am so goddamn serious I love it so much.
C & TWs Include: A lil spicy (mentions of neck kisses) but nothing super explicit. Mentions of botching a haircut with a knife, but no mention of any specific wounds.
You know the drill, hcs under the cut!
🔮 Asra
- Thinks you look amazing! - Asks occasionally if it’s okay for them to touch it cause he likes the texture and the sound of it. - Jokes about getting one themself, but he’d never really give up the iconic marshmallow fluff hairstyle they’ve got going on. - Keeps pitching the idea of you getting different patterns whenever you go to get it cut again. - “Really, just picture it: you lift up your hair and surprise! It’s a little snake in a wizard hat!”
👑 Nadia
- Instantly reminded of Nahara and her side shave. - Gets really jealous of how cool your neck must be in the summer months. - Has to keep reminding herself that she can't just reach over and fluff you up without asking. (Even if you're ok with it happening unprompted, she wants to be proper about it.) - (This is a lil projection cause mine wasn't done super straight) but if you get it touched up and it doesn't fit your standards she'll insist on letting the palace barber touch it up. - "It's not an inconvenience at all, my dear! It's what we pay them for."
🩸 Julian
- Oh he used to have one of those! - When he was apprenticing under Nazali he kept his hair shorter, and part of that was having an undercut to keep the back of his neck cool. - Plays it so cool if you offer to let him touch it, but on the inside he is. Loosin it. - When you're cuddling he likes to stick his face in it and give you a couple kisses. He also likes to fake complain when it's fresh about how scratchy it is. - "Ah, you have to tell me when you get it touched up. It feels like I'm kissing a hedgehog."
🐻 Muriel
- I feel like he would find out you have one by accident? - Like you trip and when he grabs you by the back of the shirt to catch you he feels how short your hair is on your neck. - Will not touch it unless you give him express permission to. - Homeboy is super awkward for the first couple minutes cause he's so used to feeling Inanna's fur and he's pretty sure he shouldn't pet a human like he pets wolves. - "It's kinda nice, actually. I like the soft part at the top..."
🐱 Portia
- You gotta tell her where you got that done right now she wants one too. - She gets all sweaty running around the palace and town all day, she could use a little air on the back of her neck!! - The second you show it to her, she's asking to touch it. - She kinda scruffs you like a cat almost? Like that's the movement her hand is making against your head and it's way more comfortable than it sounds. - "Oh my god, I dunno how to describe it but this rules. Does it itch at all? I can scratch it if it does!"
🗡 Lucio
- How in trouble would he be if he tried to give himself an undercut to match yours? - Doesn't matter, within the week he's made an attempt and has failed miserably. - That's what happens when you try to give yourself an undercut with a knife and no adult supervision. - Makes you promise to come with him to the barber once his head recovers from the murder he just committed. - "If you're scared for me, I'll let you hold my hand when we go... No I'm not scared, I specifically said it was for you if you're scared! ... Ok, maybe I'm a little scared--"

Sorry i blocked u i was very upset at the hatred(miso) of synchretism i see on here. i’m jewish i don’t need their or anyone elses opinion on Open vs Closed. i don’t think nonjews need their opinions either. though you are keen to summon them. as a sumerian polytheist i disagree that Lilith has no place to be deified up from her demonic origins. I believe Inanna may forgive her for shitting up in that tree. I agree that pseudohistorical declarations are laughable but i dont think theyre harmful in religious context. We don’t go after the exodus lie, and shouldnt! Why any modern mythologies about lilith? Fraudulent behavior! Recreating christian persecution in a way.
I love lilith and to me lilith is as free as the chill of the swift starkissed winds! Despite our differences I pray may Peace be upon you :3
I have no problems with you blocking me, please block people like me if we upset you. My unease was being blocked after someone asked an open ended accusatory question—which I now realize you didn't do. I didn't realize that you used the word misosyncretism, I have dyslexia and misunderstood and thought you were saying I was a misogynist so I am sorry for that misunderstanding and will erase those tags.
🔹Not Needing Opinions🔹
If you don't need anyone's opinion on whether or not something is closed don't reblog a post saying a particular thing is open. You are inviting dissenting opinions— whether its from Jews or non-Jews— when you reblog someone else's post with your own opinion. If you don't want to discuss open vs closed then simply ignore posts that say Lilith is closed, block people who say she is closed, do whatever, but don't engage if it makes you upset.
People are going to have opinions and, again, my opinion is that Lilith is closed based on numerous Jewish voices I have listened to. I recognize not every person in a group is going to agree with each other because no group is a monolith, but I do my best to listen to the voices of a paticular culture and come to a conclusion.
🔹My Opinion🔹
Yes, I am "very keen to summon" my own opinions because its my blog. If I reblog and add to a post I'm giving an opinion... thats kind of the point of blogging.
My conclusion is that non-Jews worship Lilith as a part of cultural Christianity, an ahistorical mythology they refuse to admit is modern, ignore all open entities that still fit the bill, and I see a lot of antisemitism among them. As well as a lot of Islamaphobia & Chrsitophobia. It is a form of cultural appropriation for their own comfort because they cannot be bothered to learn actual history.
My observation is that the majority of Lilith worshippers don't actually care about Lil-demons, they use the demons as a tool to try and validate their worship as something rooted in a non-Jewish historical tradition, when it is not. Lil demons are a convenient excuse. In reality they cling to her because they see her as a feminist icon who stood up the the Big Bad Misogynistic Abrahamic God™.
There is no need for non-Jews to worship a Jewish figure ahistorically when there are plenty of actual Ancient Near Eastern Goddesses who are open.
Thats my opinion. Its what I'm standing by.
🔹Pseudo-history🔹
Now again, I'm not going to try and argue from the Jewish side it is not my place. But I can and will argue from a Sumerian Polytheism and accuracy in history side.
Lilith is not a member of the Lil demons, she is not Ardat-Lilî even if there are some similarities. I show information about Lil-demons here and they are not Lilith. Syncretism is not the problem that was common in the Ancient Near East— Inana, Nanaya, Ištar, Šaušga— as one example. There may be some connection between Lilith and Ardat Lilî: mainly influencing the characterization of the Hebrew Lilith in the Book of Isaiah, but there is no evidence they are one in the same. There is no evidence they were ever considered one in the same by any ancient people or traditions. The issue isn't syncretism its pseudo-history.
They were not syncretic in history. Lil demons come from Mesopotamian tradition which spans the 4th millennium BCE to the 1st millennium BCE; while the Sumerian language continued as a liturgical language for quite some time the Sumerian Civilization ended circa 2000-1700 BCE. Aside from the extremely minor mention in Isiah 34:14, the story most Lilith worshippers base her on comes from a midrash written at some point during the 1st millennium CE. This is a significant time difference and people just seem to wipe away time differences as if they don't matter, or they simply can't wrap their head around them.
Pseudo-history absolutely can be harmful and I absolutely abhor pseudo history and always will. I literally have an entire tag, #letsdebunk , for it and its been apart of my blogging since I started in 2017.
"We don't go after the Exodus lie"
Plenty do, plenty of Jews debate the historicity of stories in Jewish literature including the Tanakh, as do many Christians when reading the 'Old Testament'. (Also I would call it a myth not a lie). But whether or not Exodus actually happened in history is very different than making things up and claiming that it was a real religion and real mythology people once believed. Saying "Exodus is a story in the Tanakh and Old Testament and it says [insert story]," is different than saying "Lilith was originally a Sumerian Goddess of love and war," when she wasn't.
You are comparing apple to oranges. The fake history around Lilith is more akin to saying something like "Exodus is a story about how an ancient Egyptian God punished Egyptians for there bad deeds and Jewish slaves escaped while their was chaos and then they found a tribe worshiping a God named YHWH and adopted the religion of that tribe" <- that is not the story of Exodus its abunch of made up bullshit. Made up bullshit is what I consider most modern neo-pagan/left hand path/witch claims about Lilith.
Pseudo-history is used to culturally appropriate many things not just Lilith. It has many problems:
It's used to make bigoted claims against Jews, such as "the Jews killed Jesus" which is historically factually wrong and one of the most damaging sources of antisemitism in history.
Bigotry against Christians, by claiming their only role in history is oppression and the silencing of any Christian voices including POC the world over. Like the dumb St Patrick pagan persecution story which is listed as a false meme by Snopes but shows up as a real belief among neo-pagans. This is also extremely dangerous towards African Diaspora Religions that are syncretized with Christianity, as just one example of how Christophobia is dangerous.
Bigotry against Muslims, by claiming they have solely been a patriarchal oppressor that made no advancements to humanity and only offer "violent jihadism." Which is false and ignores actual Islamic history because real history is very inconvenient for the narrative
Its used to validate bullshit like the Burning Times, blood based witchcraft lineage, and a false sense of persecution among modern neo-pagans. A completely toxic belief.
Its used by feminists who claim a unsubstantiated matriarchal pre-historic religion destroyed by evil patriarchy. They use it to deny anyone who isn't a cis-woman from Goddess worship, witchcraft, and other neo-pagan traditions and claim transwomen and transfemmes are just another iteration of the evil patriarchy trying to taint there ancient Goddess faith. A faith that never existed. Pseudo-history as a tool of transphobia.
Its used by Wiccans and neo-pagans to ignore real Irish history. And add things like Ostara a made up holiday based on the Goddess "Ēsotre" of dubious historicity according to medieval historian Bede & Mabon's fabrication by Aiden Kelly based on the name of a Welsh folk hero.
Its used to fabricate stories about deities that may or may not be real, like Ēsotre mentioned above, and then connect her to the holiday of Easter, and then make a huge leap and connect that to real historical deities like Ištar. Which is also used as a false sense of persecution among neo-pagans.
It can be a weapon for racial/ethnic supremacists. For example, the idea that Hellenic Polytheism was a national religion unique to the Hellenes is pseudo-history used by the boarding on ethnic supremacist YSEE organization.
Not to mention all the horrific pseudo-history of the extremely antisemitic Satanism group that I won't name. That constantly claims Lucifer is a Sumerian God or whatever and spams the inboxes of neo-pagans/witches/polytheists.
Its used by new agers to validate their appropriation of traditions from Dharmic religions for their own inaccurate purposes.
Its used to support, often very racist, "ancient alien" claims.
I could keep going and going and going with fake history touted among neo-pagans, witches, polytheists, left hand path folk, occultists, and new agers that is dangerous but hopefully I've gotten my point across.
"Recreating Christian persecution in a way"
If its not abundantly clear from my above examples pseudo-history is used to fabricate a lot of Christian persecution claims that have serious negative impacts. I don't even know what you mean by this so honestly I'm not going to try arguing against it.
Bottom line: pseudo-history absolutely is harmful in a religious context.
🔹Sumerian Polytheism🔹
As for "deifying" her up in Sumerian Polytheism. No I am 100% against that. Don't deify up demons and claim its still Sumerian polytheism because it isn't— its modern demonolatry.
First, Lilith isn't Sumerian.
Second, demons have their place in Sumerian cosmology and I'm not going to deify them. If a demon was honored, such as Pazuzu, then I many honor them. But I will not view Sumerian/Mesopotamian demons as Diĝir.
Third, I am a revivalist with a heavy reconstructionist approach, I value the real history of Ancient Near Eastern religions, cosmologies, and mythologies with a particular focus on Sumerian times (Ur III and prior) for my own faith.
This means I will always stand against pseudo-history, debunk claims, and defend actual ANE & Sumerian history. Ancient cultures deserve to be respected and not lied about. Pseudo-history is a lie.
🔹Last Thoughts🔹
Please do not pray to Lilith for me the mention in the ask made me feel uncomfortable.
Just like the "recreating Christian persecution" sentence in your ask I don't understand the "fraudulent behavior" statement so I can't really address it.
Tone clarification: The tone of this post is meant to be informative and explanatory not hostile and argumentative.
---
TL;DR Lil demons are not Lilith. Lilith is Jewish and I stand by my opinion that she is apart of a closed tradition. Pseudo-history is dangerous and I will always reject it.
EDIT: After reading their tags on this (x) and their rhetoric in the first reply to this post I think its better for me to not interact with this person. So I've decided to block. They've stated their stance and its literally just strawman arguments, many false equivalences, and whataboutisms; I have no time or patience for that. But this post is still useful as a rebuke against pseudo- history in our communities so I'll leave it up, I worked hard on it. I also deleted the original response post since it's redundant now. [Edit 2] The person has been extremely ableist towards me more than once, threatened me, tried to bypass my blocks, wished violent death on me more than once. I did report them and tumblr took one of their posts down... which is not enough but I won't waste my time trying to get tumblr moderators to do their job.

Hey,hey! So I'm writing a book and the main speech they use in prayer is Sumerian. I don't speak any of it and your blog is very helpful with this problem!
Is there a term for the Undead or things that come from the Underworld? I know there's a reference about the dead in it's mythology but is there a concrete word aside from me calling him "Kur's Eye"???
Hello! I've done a little searching and here's what I've got.
The most iconic reference to the Mesopotamian undead I know is in Ishtar's Descent to the Underworld (lines 20-21), in which Ishtar says the iconic threat "I will raise up the dead; they will devour the living, and the dead will outnumber the living", in Akkadian ušellâ mītūti ikkalū balṭūti, eli balṭūti ima’idū mītūti. The word for "the dead" here, mītūti, is from mītu, "dead", and is written 𒌀𒈨𒌍. Unfortunately, the section in which Ishtar says this is not present in the Sumerian version, Inanna's Descent, and the Sumerian reading of 𒌀𒈨𒌍 is simply udmesh "they are dead", from ud "death".
In Sumerian, the word for "the dead" as a collective unit is kuku 𒆪𒆪, but this has a more positive connotation, like "ancestors" might in English.
Another term that may be of use is gidim, "ghost", specifically of a person whose living relatives have failed to make appropriate offerings, and who has thus returned to the land of the living to cause disease and trouble. (This seems to have been misrepresented in a lot of modern media as "edimmu", but I can't find an actual ancient source for this version of the term.) Gidim is written 𒄇 in cuneiform.
As for "Kur's Eye", I'm not sure what that would mean, exactly, unless you're looking for a literal translation. Kur is one term for the underworld, so "Kur's eye" would be igikura, "eye of the ground"/"eye of the underworld", written 𒅆𒆳𒀀.
I hope that helps, and best of luck with your book!

Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong connection to the ancient Goddess, Innana. I have not felt such a strong feeling towards a deity before and I’ve been obsessing over her and researching her history and mythology as well as the Sumerian culture and the other deities she’s associated with, and I have to say Sumerian mythology has really captivated me.
This pendant is based off of the large terracotta plaque, “Queen of the Night.” This depiction of this Goddess deity is often thought to portray either the ancient Mesopotamian Sumerian Goddess, Innana (also later known as Ishtar in  Akkadian), or Inanna’s sister, Ereshkigal, or Lilith.
She has been here since the beginning, as far back as 4000 BC, Inanna is the Goddess of heaven, the Earth, The Universe, love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, war, combat, justice, and political power. She was a patron for prostitutes and her Gala (priests) were transgender and nonbinary. Inanna was known to be able to "to turn a man into a woman and a woman into a man,” which is is well accounted for in multiple poetry fragments and shows the existence of people living outside the gender binary in ancient Mesopotamia. Even though she is a Goddess of sex, she wasn’t a Goddess of procreation or even a mother herself. She’s usually portrayed as promiscuous, she represented sex as a sacred rite to be enjoyed as an expression of love and not exclusively for the purpose of procreation. Inanna is an icon for modern feminism, she managed to endure the rising patriarchy and was not replaced by any other male gods like many other goddesses were. She is the goddess who fights against the unfair treatments or inequality of gender.
Innana was already a very ancient Goddess to the people of Sumer and her origins are still unclear before she was adopted by the Sumerians. It’s possible she emerged as a deity within the polytheistic Semitic groups of the Near East around 3500-4000 B.C.E. Another theory suggests Inanna was a syncretic goddess who formed as a blend of the characteristics of several already existing deities in the Sumerian world. She was also worshipped as the goddess Ishtar, by many of Sumer’s neighbors in Mesopotamia such as the Babylonians, Akkadians, and Assyrians. It’s not exactly clear whether these were two separate goddesses of different pantheons that came to be worshipped together or if they were two names for the same goddess. Inanna/Ishtar also evolved into/influenced many Goddesses such as Diana, Artemis, Aphrodite, Lilith, Athena, and Astarte. Inanna is closely related to the constellation Venus, the morning and evening star and the eight pointed star is her symbol, as well as lions, doves, a knot of reeds, eight-pointed flowery rosette, and lapis lazuli. She was frequently depicted standing on the back of two lionesses and was also shown as riding on a lion to prove her courage and masculine aspect. As associated with war, she is also depicted in the armor of male wearing a battle dress armed with quiver and bow.
There’s so much to know about her, which I’m still learning! I just had to share her because not many people even know who she is, even though she’s one of the oldest deities out there and she’s influenced so much of the world and she doesn’t deserve to be forgotten

First post about the Inanna story in a while, introducing a key character in the first arc, Ninimma, Enlil’s court archivist. Since there are no identified depictions of her, and she has no distinct iconography beyond presumably beind a scribe, I wanted to check if combinging the huge eyes of the Tell Asmar votive figures with the "iconic" Early Dynastic monobrow results in something passably glasses-like. As for everything else, see under the cut.
In terms of personality, I want to stick pretty close to the quirks of the two known Ninimma hymns: over the top "academic" style, rare synonyms, in one case also seemingly purposely avoiding names of other deities in favor of descriptive phases - i think it makes for a reasonably coherent personality. irl Ninimma was a popular deity among scribes (at least in Nippur - in one sample set of texts there are more names invoking her than Ninlil which is remarkable seeing how Ninlil was, you know, essentially the city goddess via marriage); she was herself some sort of scribe in the employ of Enlil - i've seen her title translated as terms like "scholar" or "librarian" - so i will stick to that too; my version is specifically going to be in charge of organizing the data pertaining to Enlil's ancestors. She regularly gets fed up and reorganizes it, as a nod to the notably inconsistent character of the real lists of these deities; irl only the first pair was locked, in my version obviously a bit more needs to be during to Enmesharra being a central lore figure, but more on that on another day; as a side note, Ninimma does NOT respect Ninisina, who believes there is some central model of divine evolution, and asserts gods evolved from lahmus, as evident in comparable inner ear structure and other such details. This is, obviously, the product of a deeply unserious discipline (from Ninimma's pov, at least). She does not think "but lahmus are still around" is that good of an argument, though. Yeah, this is a creationism joke. The idea to connect her with divine ancestors is based on the theory that her name and Nammu's are cognates; I thought it would be funny. Note Ninimma is actually MUCH better attested than Nammu though. In-universe Ninimma's origin is not particularly well known (so, just like irl). Nisaba just brought her to Enlil's court some day and everyone went with it (the connection is based on both having similar profile and appearing in god lists together; I didn't find any evidence for actual biological relation between them hence making her a protegee of some sort only). Whether her earlier brief career as one of the Šassūrātu predated her "discovery" by Nisaba or if she initially dropped her off there is a matter of occasional gossip among other courtiers but since Ninimma is not a thrilling or polarizing figure it is not discussed all that often. Due to her vital importance from ideological point of view, Ninimma occupies one of the top spots among Enlil's underlings, and for all intents and purposes is treated as a family member (this is a nod to an obscure real text too), similarly to Manungal. However, while other of the lead underlings have multiple lesser ones under them, Ninimma is a solo act. She did develop a sense of camaraderie with some of the other courtiers, though. In the actual story Ninimma will appear in the very first arc, as the section of Enlil's temple complex under her care is precisely the place Inanna wants to steal something from to Make A Point after a sore breakup with one of Enlil's children.

The Wicked + The Divine: Okay by Kieron Gillen. Art by Jamie McKelvie. Coloured by Matt Wilson. Lettering by Clayton Cowles.
Tumblr media
Series: The Wicked + The Divine, #9 Read time: 1 Day Rating: 4/5
The quote: "Oh, David. I have done many awful necessary things. But you had a choice... ...and even at this late date, all your choices were bad. I'll tell you this. I've been around a long long time. And I am oh so bored of men like you." — Ananke
This is a great and fitting ending to a series. It wraps up the storylines well and leaves the reader with a message. It does this while delivering emotional hits with no less weight than other volumes (more importantly issues) in the series. The last pages are, I think, an echo of a moment earlier in the series. Characters are all given their own moments, moments to remind the reader that they are human, also reminders that "people never really die" (Laura) and the power of love.
This whole thing starts with a series of videos about Baal's last gig. One of them is just so adorable, Tom is an everyday person we've met before that I didn't see again. He appears in The Imperial Phase: Part 1 in a discussion with Persephone. "Please! We... have a question." "Uh-huh?" "Some texts say your cult wasn't allowed to say your name We... wanted to honour that. What do you want to be addressed as?" "The Destroyer." Tom does make it clear that this is him. He's not just a Persephone fan, he's a Baal fan. And like so many of us he thinks Inanna is hot. The video itself is him doing the fan thing, opening the ticket, queueing and going to the gig. It's an inside view of the gig and maybe a sense of the betrayal that fans will feel towards the remaining gods. Just after this three of our four heads (Jon, Inanna and Lucifer) get bodies back with the help of Nergal/Cameron after visiting him in the cathedral he has built for The Morrigan. He allows them to take The Morrigan's bodies in a moment of catharsis in a way. What I did notice is that Lucifer honours The Morrigan, specifically Badb, by keeping her red hair (though in Luci's iconic style).
I can honestly say that of all the books that have made me tear up this is the one I least expected. It's not the deaths per se it's the loss of potential and the way they happen. Just to be clear warnings for suicide, murder and attempted murder.
I don't remember seeing the birth names of all the gods before. This is a tiny bit spoilerly so read on at your own peril. • Persephone — Laura Wilson • Urðr — Cassandra • Skuld & Verðandi — Meredith and Zoe (the other two thirds of The Norn) • Lucifer — Eleanor • Baal — Valentine • Inanna — Zahid • Baphomet/Nergal — Cameron • The Morrigan — Marion • Dionysus — Umar • Woden — David Blake • Mimir — Jon Blake • Amaterasu — Emily Greenway • Tara — Aruna • I can't find names for Ananke, Minerva or Sakhmet in the volumes I have available.
I made the choice to skip Volume 8 of WicDiv because it is a collection of special issues set apart from the main storyline. If I was to come back and reread the series I would read Vol. 8: Old Is the New New. But am only half invested in the series, ie invested enough to want to know how the series ends but not invested enough to spend more time with the characters. As it is I have a bit of time pressure to finish the books and get them reviewed before I have to return them.

Liv Sin - Slave To The Machine (Lyric Video)
youtube
DON'T EVER FORGET THAT YOU'RE A SLAVE TO THE MACHINE
NOW I KNOW TECHNICALLY I'M PLAYING WITH MY FOOD, AND I'M HUNGRY SO I DON'T WANT IT TO RUN AWAY,
BUT DON'T ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT A QUOTA IS? NO, NOT 25 CENTS.
SHOULDN'T YOU BE OUT BUYING MORE WORTHLESS S***, THAT'S WHAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT!
IMPORTANT FOR MY QUOTA!
Don't think you're in control
Cause they own your life
They own your soul
Don't buy their brief temptations
You're a slave to the machine
~LIV SIN~
I'LL BET YOU THAT PERSEPHONE COULD LITERALLY GO DRESS UP SOME OF HER DOLLS AND HAVE THEM SCREAM THE TRUTH RIGHT IN THEIR FACES, AND IT WOULDN'T EVEN MATTER. THEY'RE TOO CONCERNED ABOUT THE CUSSING WITHOUT CENSORSHIP, YOU KNOW, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT!
Perfect by nature
Icons of self indulgence
Just what we all need
More lies about a world that
Never was and never will be
Have you no shame don't you see me
You know you've got everybody fooled
~Evanescence~
IT'S ALMOST AS IF THEY'RE BEYOND JUST BLIND AND DEAF, IT'S LIKE PART OF THEM ISN'T THERE ANYMORE AND CAN'T EVEN PERCEIVE THE TRUTH IF THEY TRY...
It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me
At tea time, everybody agrees
I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror
It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero

lady descending to underworld
examples include persephone, ishtar/inanna, etc... you are responsible, caring, brave, and more powerful than you probably realise. you are almost always beautiful. however, you are not very realistic, and you can sometimes be naive, depending on how the teller of the tale perceives you. you tend to be misunderstood, and interpreted in a wide variety of ways. but ultimately, you save the world with your actions, and you're a force of good in people's lives.

benevolent luck-giving animal whom nobody can find
how iconic of you to get this result! some examples i can think of include unicorns, dragon turtles, leprechauns, genies, etc. also the cheshire cat from alice in wonderland which is not mythology but would be an excellent example if it was. i think the personality of this result is one of a person who is light-hearted, fun to be around, uncannily wise and cunning when you least expect it, and reclusive. you do your own thing, and can easily enjoy yourself wherever you go. others find it very mysterious.

the vegetable lamb of tartary
from its wikipedia page: "The Vegetable Lamb of Tartary (Latin: Agnus scythicus or Planta Tartarica Barometz) is a legendary zoophyte of Central Asia, once believed to grow sheep as its fruit. It was believed the sheep were connected to the plant by an umbilical cord and grazed the land around the plant. When all accessible foliage was gone, both the plant and sheep died." ... if you got this result, you are very in tune with the world, very sensitive to changes in your ecosystem, and very cute. also very disconcerting and creepy depending on who is perceiving you. stay epic

list of tattoos im wanting
left thigh, to commemorate my first t shot: waning gibbous moon w/ the chemical structure of testosterone cypionate somehow incorporated
back? for my birth and an interest in akkadian mythology: another waning gibbous moon, w/ a bull for both my moon in astrology and nanna's bull. HOWEVER, the thing is i have a fondness for inanna specifically, not nanna. and the bull's horns in the moon is the waxing crescent moon, not the waning gibbous. disrespectful lol
perhaps the passage of inanna transgending the the pilpilû
robin's 生ぎたいっ!!!! moment. perhaps also the following 私も一緒に海へ連れてって! idk. the one speech bubble is iconic itself
