I hate that one moldy water bottle post. Drinking mold will not kill you. Mold is everywhere. If mold regularly killed people, we would be fucked, because mold is always in the air, we are always breathing it. In almost all circumstances, mold is fine. Unpleasant, of course, sometimes it'll cause mild symptoms, but it's not seriously harmful, and certainly not deadly.

Some people have a mold allergy! This usually causes symptoms like an upset stomach when ingested, or normal seasonal allergy symptoms when inhaled. That's it.

Look at any medical resource -- the CDC for example, or Johns Hopkins, and you'll see that all the science says that there is no reason to panic about mold.

Like, still clean your water bottles -- there's no reason to give yourself digestive issues for no reason -- but a water bottle with mold will not kill you. Fact check things you read online, please.
