i got so angry about the AB remaster i drew this

ok update on atla netflix: started final episode, it opens with the attack on the north. its pretty freaking great. frame for frame accurate w the show, and (other than some so so costuming choices, or a few fight-bending scenes with lower budgets) the only changes so far have been for the better

I can't believe the milk skirt is not popular enough to warrant a restock!! This is the very first skirt that caught my eye from your shop, and at the time I thought it's already discontinued!! I feel so lucky I was able to snag up one today! Do you have any other skirts you're surprised didn't perform as well as you expected?

the milk skirt WAS discontinued ages ago, we just found a few stragglers in the office. the OG milk skirt (blue hem) is from 2017 but the newer one is from just last year. the original version sold OK for a while, and then really poorly, and we were hoping maybe a new. more subtle version would sell better but we were wrong lol

as for other designs that sadly didn't sell as well as i expected, there are quite a few!

the tea skirt in its multiple iterations. they are such slow sellers that devin has outlawed me from creating any new color variants of this design so it is dead forever. unless we find stragglers it will never be sold again. (OG cream and pink colors are from 2020, blue is from 2022)

the monstera (2022) and moth (2020) skirts. the monstera skirt just suffered from being the 10th most popular design in a preorder poll that we picked 10 designs from. people liked it but prioritized buying other designs first so we never reprinted it. the moth skirt, idk, i made it as a companion piece to the bee skirt but i think because it's set on diamonds and not hexagons the moths end up too close together.

the elephants skirt (2020). this one people were absolutely mad for when i was drawing the art and it just kind of sold OK. not awful, but not great.

and the original spring color palette of the hiss from a rose skirt (2019). the other color palettes (black & red and winter) have done better, which is a good thing, but also im sad because i love the OG color palette. i think the original printing of it lacked some contrast that would give it more definition, and i've since reworked it to print better, but it sold so abysmally we haven't reprinted it since the changes were made. 😭

it's lowkey a big publicity stunt for chaz because ooh.. famous person goes M.I.A...!!!! HOLY BALLS! and also he got annoyed with Justice so he's just off pouting somewhere while making these 3 go on a wild goosechase i imagine if they were actually in the game , you'd still have to race them multiple times before they actually join skyforce; since they're not trying to take down morcubus they're only trying to find Chaz! but when you propose the idea of joining one of them is like; "Oh actually we can't make any decisions none of us are in command.!" ; and the MC is like . "??? Okay then who's running all this?" . then its this big dramatic moment where chaz just spawns at the base door like "MEE!!!! IM RUNNING THIS ALL!!!!!" (<- and all three of them are relieved but also. mad as fuck and dont talk to him for a while) was this all prompted by my stupid doggirl vic jokes ? .. perhaps anywho some more things..

His name is Amadeus, he's a roughly advanced middle aged classical pianist-but he also likes to hit up the club. Big fckn redesigns here. Well mostly Charlie but Vaggie somewhat too 🥰🥰

Blue fits Charlie soooo much and I cease to see that many redesigns with this color. I still want red to be used in most of their designs because well. They are in hell, but not too present so to make way for other unique colors. Charlie has several physical traits from her parents but also she has some details in her clothes that match with them. When I uhh, introduce their designs you'll see lmao. I also tried to make her have a more roundish design, I jst LOVE those typ of designs omg. I just want the characters with not too many sharp corners pls Viv bro... 😔 oh yeah she's mixed cuz her mom's are darker in their redesigns. Alot of their genetics went down to Charlie so she doesn't look like an exact copy of Lucifer, I kind of hate that trend with hh and hb characters, like did the moxxies dad give birth to him bro 😭 also I kept her bow because it looks so cute and silly on her it just fits, I wish they made it bigger in her show design because it would fit her silliness so much. She has a cape with stars because morningSTAR smh why didnt they do something fun with that, missed potential but whatevs yknow I still love og designs no matter what anyone sayss. The wife ever. I had animation in mind more when I designed her, not like in a "How easy or hard would this be to animate" way. But I like to imagine when she's shocked her hair kind of fluffs out plus her actual fluff, when she's mad her bow turns into kind of horns and then her jacket expands like wings. Gave her a more hotel like outfit, she likes to work for fun (ew). Her socks are socks but she has some fluff under them she just tries to cover it up because she hates herself 🤪 (she doesn't hate her bigger body she actually feels much more comfortable chubby than when she was skinny with Adam. She was burdened with the weight of Adam's image of women... In this sorta rewrite she gained weight when she goes to the hotel because she's more happy. I'm dying I love chub Vaggie so much guys please) headcanon: she kind of likes fashion, it's like a fun hobby of hers to stitch together clothing and go out and buy clothes she'll never wear. She taught Charlie how to stitch and she SUCKS so you can jst see it on Charlie's pants.

Second outfits! Charlie's hotel uniform for. Well. Hotel stuff. She usually only wears it when new people come to the hotel, which.... isn't often, if at all. She still likes to keep it just in case. Also she goes really cartoonish when it happens, she does the looney tunes run and changes into her clothes in like 2 seconds. Can you see my vision? 😭😭

Vaggie's is in her armor. She has several pairs of armor lying around in the hotel in completely hidden spots. It's kind of surprising uhh. Yeah she wears it alot more than Charlie wears her alt uniform but still rare to find her in it. I don't get the whole thing with the exterminators and them not being able to fight according to Carmilla. Which is kinda stupid, I'm not gonna lie. So, instead of that, Vaggie has just let her guard down and has gotten much more comfortable in her surroundings so she feels like she doesn't need to fight anymore, she's just gotten rusty 's what I'm sayin. I have no idea how to draw armor. You can tell...

Ok a mad coincidence to my last post, I’m about to play a fairy in my friend’s dnd campaign 💥 and since he has no lore for them he has given them to me to design and work with which is FREAKIN AWESOME!? And im having so much fun coming up with lore for them and the Faewild + working my character into that.

Literally the coolest guy and I’m so excited to have him as my dm yall plus everyone else playing I know so it’s so much less scary then the first time I tried to play with, basically, randos and it was just awkward and miserable for all of us

The environment sketch isn’t really important since I didn’t draw the fairy village in the trees like intended but ah well, plus the Faewild is basically just the regular world but everything fecks w u.

My fairies r basically just expanded from og 5e fairies but I wanted to make them more communal since I didn’t want my character to come from a flower and just be vibing mostly by themself AND I’m a sucker and I didn’t want them to just look like little winged humans yknow? Leaned into the little freaky magical creature bit

I’ve also kinda removed the “roll for a unique trait” thing where fairies have a sorta base looks like the examples above and other stuff can be rollable traits or even combined at one’s own will bc that’s more fun to me

LO Dionysus design 🍇🎭

This will be a long post since Dionysus isn’t a character yet so I had to create him from 0.

The beginning of Dionysus’ introduction started on EP 93 (with Semele, Dionysus’ mother), but it has been more than 100 episodes and we got absolutely nothing from that plot, which is bad considering that other gods get involved in the og myth (Zeus, Hera and Hermes, mainly), but none of them (before and after the time skip) display any knowledge or memory of the event, especially Zeus, who is the one who accidentally kills Semele in the first place.

I already talked about it here, but im 100% sure that the child mentioned in episode 218 is Dionysus. He should be 10 yo right now and he’s the only character (vaguely) introduced who is around that age. Not to mention, Dionysus does have some connections with the Underworld. My main theory is that he will be adopted by HxP and will remain a child for the rest of the series (probably skipping the majority of Dionysus’ myths). And that’s honestly such a waste of potential. So I decided to give my take on him if he was in LO, like the redesigns I did with many other characters.

Design

My main inspo was 60′s and 70′s Hippie fashion, with a lot of patterns, accessories (crystals, evil eyes, beads, rings, etc), loose clothes and a more lazy/cozy look. He’s two shades of purple that split his face, which is meant to represent his duality as the god of parties and joy & god of wrathful madness. Hermes gave him nymph ears to use as a disguise when he was young, but he doesnt want to change them back because he grew up and feels comfortable with them. He has a very androgynous/feminine look, which leads to a lot of people thinking he’s an actual nymph.

In his true form (which can come out voluntarily, but usually happens when the god gets so mad that they are unable to control themselves) he can get really big. Leafs and grapes sprout everywhere, he gets another pair of arms made of plants’ stems and his eyes go full neon green.

Story

His story is very similar to the og myths, with just some small differences. He is born from Zeus’ thighs and goes to live with Demeter and Persephone as one of their nymphs to escape Hera’s wrath. There he starts to question a lot about himself, like his gender and his origins (he doesn’t know he is not an actual nymph), and when puberty hits, his body and his powers go crazy. Its also around that time when he meets and falls in love with Ampelos (and you know how that story ends).

When the wine he creates starts growing in popularity and Dionysus starts getting worshipped by some cities, Zeus decides that there’s no reason to hide him from Hera anymore, so he brings Dionysus to Olympus and reveals the truth, inviting him to become an Olympian. Dionysus says yes without thinking twice, so he moves in and starts to get prepared for his ceremony and his new life.

But there’s a problem. The Olympus lifestyle is way too different from Dionysus’. People are sophisticated, modern and even mean-spirited, while he is the complete opposite. It’s hard for him to fit in and he just wants to go home with the nymphs and satyrs, and he eventually does... illegally.

Personality & relationships

Dionysus is very outgoing and funny. He’s kind to everyone around him (not discriminating against nymphs, satyrs or mortals), but he can get very emotional very fast. He gets easily annoyed, which will prob just result in some unwanted vines around the house and a grumpy look, but the moment he gets mad is when everything falls apart (wrath form). Anger issues + no control over powers = no good.

He sees Demeter as a mother and Persephone and the nymphs as older sisters, while Silenus and the other satyrs served as fathers. His favorite brother is Hermes who kept an eye on him during his entire childhood and still cares deeply for him. He also has an interesting relationship with Apollo, he is very scared and intimidated by him (I understand why lol) but wants to start a friendship. Except for the fact that Apollo already has a soft spot for him, Dionysus is just oblivious to it. Ares is also scary and kinda mean, but he likes Dionysus and cares for him. He’s very indifferent towards Zeus, Hera hates him (he hates her too) and everyone else is pretty neutral, considering he doesnt know a lot of people outside of the nymphs and satyrs.

Powers

Dionysus is a fertility god (which in this universe doesnt mean that much), this means he has powers over vegetation (like Demeter) and mortals’ desires (like Aphrodite). Being the god of madness also means that he can make people so mad to the point of committing atrocities and completely losing their minds. In his true form, simply looking at him can lower your sanity. He also has the powers all the other gods have, like changing forms, cursing and blessing people, being summoned by mortals, etc. 

That’s all I have the energy to write rn. I tried to replicate the LO art style, and honestly I really liked the result! Hope you guys liked it too <3

(Also, Dionysus would be around his 20′s when the story takes place. He is Pansexual and is still confused about his gender but he’s fine with any pronouns).

Okay I’m going to bitch about the Fraggle Rock reboot and how much I hate the way the redesigned Mokey

DISCLAIMER: if you like or even live the reboot, that’s so so valid and I love that for you. I’m not here to tell you what and what not to enjoy. Love what you love. Live your best life

That being said

and can’t stand the reboot’s redesign of Mokey. Now, I haven’t seen the reboot, and I don’t plan too. But there’s just one thing that makes me fucking furious, and that’s Mokey’s redesign.

I hate it.

“But Zeke, “hate” is a strong word, you can’t find it that bad can you?”

I can and I will. as far as I’m concerned, that isn’t Mokey. Mokey would NEVER look like that. NEVER.

this redesign doesn’t even look like her! If I didn’t know better I’d think it was a completely different character! They took everything I loved about Mokey and ruined it

The colors are the most egregious to me. They took Mokey’s soft pastel colors and cranked up the saturation. And they don’t even look good together, they aren’t even appealing.

and like. She doesn’t even fit in with her friends anymore, she sticks out like a sore thumb. OG Mokey fit right in, but Reboot Mokey just doesn’t. She feels like she’s from a different show.

AND NO ONE ELSE GOT REDESIGNED, SO WHY DID MOKEY??? HER DESIGN WAS JUST FINE

secondly they gave her a dress and that makes me want to maim someone. I LIKED HER WIZARD CARDIGAN. SHE LOOKED NONBINARY AND AS A NONBINARY PERSON I LIKED THAT A LOT. It’s like they gave her a dress to say “look she’s a girl. Because girls wear dresses. And so she has to wear one”. I know Nonbinary people can wear dresses but it just feels weird to me as a nonbinary person who relates a lot to Mokey and gets dysphoria from dresses.

also they took away the stoned wizard vibe of the og and made her look like a TikTok white girl and I HATE IT. Mokey is a stoner wizard, not a TikTok girl.

and if you look at the redesign you would never in a million years guess what her personality was supposed to be. She looks like a peppy cottagecore type, not her actual dreamy artist with an egotistical streak. And that’s bad character design imo. You can tell everyone’s personality by looking at them EXCEPT FOR HER. OG Mokey looked like she would be dreamy and artistic, and she IS.

All in all they took away every design element that made Mokey,, Mokey and it makes me so fucking mad so I have done what I must and said “the reboot isn’t Fraggle Rock. It isn’t part of the series I love. It’s its own thing, NOT Fraggle Rock” because im not letting it get in the way of enjoying Fraggle Rock.

fnaf movie is actually great!

me and the gang dressed up and hit up the movies

i tried really hard to make some kind of costume out of the things i had laying around. it was so rushed i didn't even got a chance to take a proper pic. foxy's hook is kinda broken already bc everything was held up by a single drop of super glue and spit i collected while watching old lore videos and drooling

a few words about the movie itself. that was honestly such a pleasant experience i even cried out of excitement. i am not mad at noisy people bc i was the noisy people. and if that bothered someone im sorry. in my defense containing myself was hard af. i was absolutely shaking trying not to "hur hur hur hur" every time freddy appeared on the screen. and i am kinda mad some of the "og fans" were bullying others for liking this meme. like- not keeping up with the fnaf fandom is a skill issue, get your head out of your ass

overall i am very pleased with the decisions film makers made. like completely alternative timeline and plot, cast, writing. nothing about this movie is perfect (except fot animatronics design) but everything's in its place and does its job right. i believe there is objectively nothing to complain about so i'm happy to say i like fnaf movie wholeheartedly

Ok so Houston is the oldest of the trio irl but she acts like a goddamn menace four year old.

Florida used to babysit her. Why texas would give Florida his kid? I dont know, but Houston was very well behaved so he was allowed to keep watching her.

Until one day.

She convinced coerced austin and a few of the other southern cities into revolting borrowing some of the candy she wasn't allowed to have before dinner (cities age slowly so this is a point where they know advanced candy making stuff) Texas for the life of him could not imagine what could possess Houston, his innocent baby girl to break the rules. It left him boggled for weeks until he saw Florida chasing Houston down the street, riding an aligator. They weren't allowed to leave the state of Texas, but finding an aligator was negative issue. Our girl H-Town is also known as The Bayou. And the bayou does indeed have gators in it. So basically Florida was banned from the state for until Houston matured and was barred from babysitting.

As the older siblings Austin and Houston were forced to watch Dallas, as Paso and Tonio were long gone from the house. After Houston was stripped from her title as capital, Austin began to have more responsibilities, leaving Houston alone with their baby brother. And she hated it. She was mad at the world as a kid. "Gov, get your private meeting with [REDACTED] out of the public papers." She also throws shots at states and has bitten them on several occasions because she had to prove she was about that life.

I HC everyone as immortal as long as a group recognizes the concept of them, so our girl doesn't fear injury. Once this guy tried to mug her because she was in a northern city wearing nice clothes and jewelry. He pulled a gun on her and she immediately put the barrel in her mouth, bit down on it and disarmed him, all before pulling out her own gun and mugging him. Because "whos this random to fuck with me?!"

She's a very quick study. She picks up on language, body, and verbal very quickly. She has a side job as a translator. And practices casual domestic espionage for drama.

She has a photographic memory. Not great if you try and hide something from her.

anyway here is Trek and Sirren! I'm actually not sure if they're canonically siblings but in my version they are. Also changing her name to 2 rs bc it looks like siren (mermaid). Please dont be mad BUT i'm changing Trek's hair quite a lot. dont get me wrong I love his og design but all their hair looked straight outa dragon ball z so i wanted to spice it up a bit. Also his hair would look too much like Ikor's or Riff's anyway. That would leave Eron with the only different hair style. Lowkey forgot how to draw muscles so bare with me

I don't know if this has been asked or if you've talked about it, - and I do apologize for any clumsiness in how I sound - but do you think Ada would have any complicated feelings regarding how she's been objectified, sexually or otherwise, in-universe, whether it's by someone like Simmons, people she's worked for etc?

i'm gonna ramble a bit here so sorry in advance lol-

i think that the trauma she experienced from simmons is one that's glossed over a lot. especially the people who are like AdA doEsNt hAve AnY tRaUmA

people are SO FUCKING QUICK to baby leon, but if it's a woman- oh NOOO she doesn't deserve the same thing

one of my major gripes with a lot of people who "aren't happy with ada's redesign" (characterization, voice, style) etc. (ALSO YOU CAN GO PLAY THE OLD GAMES BTW THEY STILL EXIST. ) bother me a lot

it's 2023. can we not have ada be an actual woman character with likes/desires/dislikes/flaws/and a personality that isn't just "sexy asian spy lady" like have we regressed so much that when capcom literally designed ada to be almost completely covered from her neck down was a way to have her be less sexualized? (btw for the people mad about that, she still has her alt outfit!!! so stfu!!!)

also she was still sexy af??? she doesn't need to be literally naked for her to be sexy. (also there needs to be more talk about consent imo cause i really feel like the way people talk about ada makes me think they do not understand consent)

ada's always used her sex appeal in varying degrees in the games/movies. but it was always to her advantage (almost in a way so that she wasn't objectified unless she wanted it that way)

in regards to her damnation outfit and her re6 outfit, which i argue are still sexy but not as revealing as her re4 outfit. i think that was also capcom in a way to modernize her outfits but still have it be her. like okay i know people love her og re4 outfit, but it makes NO SENSE. and because of it, it's one of my least favourite outfits because of how impractical it is. i don't mind her re4r alt outfit though, it's still fuckin hot but yeah (i still think the og re4 dress is really cunty tho skfbsfjs it's good, it's just not my favourite, og re2 is also one of my least faves, the flats and the dress + leggings combo)

also yeah to go back to her trauma, i really wish we saw what she felt at the end of re2r, especially if she thought she was going to die. like- how traumatic is that. the way she also fell, but took the time to comfort leon before dropping. SHE DIDN'T CARE THAT SHE WAS GONNA FALL, SHE COMFORTED LEON FIRST

we still don't know if she knew that she was going to be fine or not. if she fell into water (which i hc more cause she's not seen with a hookshot prior so i don't really hc that she had it the whole time.)

i see that as a common hc that she had one that wesker gave her so that she could get out and survive the fall, but i just legit think she fucking fell. landed into water or something that made it so she was okay. and then figured out how to get out later. (with the help of wesker)

but yeah i do not hc the hook shoot reason.

also it's clear to me that simmons was fucking obsessed with her and she had to literally break ties with him because he was fucking insane, she knew he was a lost cause. i don't think she'd even entertain him at all, to work with him, so it seemed as she cut ties as soon as she could. i do think that he harassed her a lot, but it's also probably traumatic when she discovers that simmons killed hundreds of women to try and clone ada.

I would love to know more about your Nutcracker and whether you'd introduce things from the book or ballet into a DisneyVerse version

Thanks for your patience anon! Ok, here’s the ideas I have, used some of the look of the live movie cuz I did like the designs for some of it but will be a completely different story, based somewhat on an old story concept I put together with my friend @im-fairly-whitty a few years ago.

I see it as starting out like your basic Nutcracker ballet story, it’s Christmas, Clara gets a nutcracker from her godfather Drosselmeyer, during the night the mice come in and the nutcracker comes to life to fight them. Mouse King doesn’t die though he gets away and Nutcracker is still a nutcracker and Clara goes with him to the magical candy land of Cockaigne, where there are peppermint trees and lemonade springs and gingerbread houses, usually sans witches. (Basically Barbie Nutcracker Movie set up a bit, but Clara goes as she wants to have an adventure/doesn’t feel appreciated at home, she’s running away.)

They travel thru the war torn candy land and meet the Sugarplum Fairy, the leader of the ‘human/human adjacent army against the—for lack of a better word— vermin army that has been besieging them. The army is made of mice and bugs and other unwanted creatures that over hundreds of years have eaten the magical food that makes up the land and gained sentience and anthropomorphic traits which brought them into conflict with the humans. They are looking for the Krakatuk Crown, a powerful object that could tip the scales of the war. The Sugarplum Fairy takes them to the ruler of Cockaigne, Princess Pirlipat, who says she is the Nutcracker’s fiancé and who wears a mask at all times, the result of a curse placed on her by the Mouse King’s predecessor. She sends them on a quest to find the crown and save the land. Clara and Nutcracker have to find it as the main quest, and along the way we would learn about the Nutcracker and Mouse King’s backstory:

Years ago the Princess Pirlipat was cursed by the Mouse Queen, in revenge for Pirlipat’s parents having caused the death of the Mouse Queen’s seven sons in the war. Pirlipat is cursed into a hideous form that she can only be released by if someone with a true hero’s heart manages to defeat the sorcererous Mouse Queen and places the Queen’s crown of her head. (The crown could be carved from a magical Krakatuk nut to reference the og story and it’s where the queen gets her magic from). The court magician, Herr Drosselmeyer, believes his nephew Andre could be the destined hero and brings him from Our World to Cockaigne.

Andre, who also wanted to escape his old life where he didn’t feel understood and be a hero, undertakes the task of attempting to gain the crown by infiltrating the vermin army, during time he makes friends with the Queen’s one remaining son, Alexander, and comes to see that the vermin army are actually just as ‘human’ as people are and haven’t been treated right. He feels conflicted about his quest, but still determines to steal the crown and be a hero, and maybe once he’s proved himself and married the princess he could start peace talks?

—But of course it all goes horribly wrong. The Mouse Queen ends up being killed, Pirlipat’s curse isnt lifted lifted due to Andre’s not having a true hero’s heart (valuing fame over decency) .The furious Pirlipat tells him she has no use for him now he’s failed, and she will take the crown and use it to destroy all the sentient vermin once and for all.

And Alexander, now king and literally haunted by his dead family’s ghosts (I wanted so bad to have 7 headed Mouse King but I don’t think it could viably by animated so vengeance driven ghost brothers driving him mad it is) swears vengeance on Andre, who in shame runs away, hiding the crown so it can’t be used for any more curses, using it only once to banish the memory of its location and the shameful events from his mind, turning him into a toy, something tossed about by someone else’s will, stagnant, stuck in his shame and guilt. He’s eventually found by his uncle Drosselmeyer in his exile andwhisked away from Cockaigne by his uncle to try and find a new hero to break his self imposed curse, which Drosselmeyer believed he had found in Clara, not because she was inherently destined, but because she had the heart to learn what needed to be learned to find the truth and grow as a person, and help Andre realize he could grow and make things right as well.

So basically the pair have to grow and realize a true hero means being compassionate and trying to understand those different from you, and doing what’s best for all, not just what will get you fame and glory, rediscover the truth of the Nutcracker’s memories and stop Pirlipat’s genocidal plans and save Alexander from his growing madness (the ghosts are very set on wiping out all the humans as well) and bring true peace to all the people of Cockaigne.

(And Mother Ginger is a good jolly kind person who runs an orphanage for war orphans, and I guess she can have an eyepatch still but yeah she’s like, a symbol of finding hope in hard times and the Sugarplum Fairy isn’t bad either, she’s a victim of Pirlipat’s propaganda and once she realizes that she stops the big attack their gonna do and helps Andre and Clara stop the mad princess and she and her cavalier are a kick-butt power couple who are ridiculously romantic for eachother…anyway rant over xD )
