I've been thinking about how someone recently called the cold war "a war of edging" and its like. why is this still a sentiment across rusame spaces on tumblr. frankly I don't care if it was a joke because it's ill-intentioned at best and blatantly disrespectful at worst.

(here's the part where I emphasize that I'm not telling you not to ship rusame. i'm saying that BEFORE you make statements like this and gloss over the warcrimes of the us and russia at the time, think about the people who suffered at their hands at the very least, and write about them responsibly.)

families weren't forced apart and jejuans weren't massacred in korea for you to call it "a war of edging."

uzbek muslims weren't tortured and arbitrarily arrested for you to call it "a war of edging."

people in vietnam weren't killed by napalm and massacred regularly by us soldiers for you to call it that.

kindly shut up. i'm exhausted from having to regularly tell this fandom, especially the rusame shippers, that the cold war was in fact a real thing that happened between Imperialist 1 and Imperialist 2 and destroyed culture, families, and whole people from the global south and not something that solely exists in your spicy fanfics.

because you're so disconnected from the global south that you simply factor them out of your head in conversations about the cold war.

so... not only redbubble suspended my account without an explanation, wouldn't let me email them asking why either, have confirmed they're not giving it back but still have no explanations, but also i emailed them asking them to send me my original designs since they're not going to reinstate the account and they said no.... is there anything i can do to get them to do it? can anyone help? i'm not from the us, i can't do shit from here, i made like $40 a month from that account which might not be a lot for some people but it's a ton for me, i really needed that :(

I have 2 chickens recovering from some serious over plucking. One already is nicely scabbed up and is acting like she's ready to go back to the flock. The other I just found this evening and is in serious condition. I'm hoping she doesn't go into shock in the night.

The bully in question is currently jailed in the old brooder cage. Other than separating her from the flock for a week and reintroducing her on her own later, is there any other option for keeping cannibalism from happening?

I don't want to cull my birds unless I've exhausted every other option.

I'm not a fan of getting a rooster since these girls are laying for consumption.

I have added some new toys to the run, but they don't seem interested in them.

Advice is encouraged and greatly appreciated.

So I've been on a miraculous ladybug binge and I hate it. I love the concept. A designer superhero who's main power is creation and is a top tier problem solver and planner? Love it. A model with a majorly controlling father who is also the villain? Ok. Making his power destruction and making him a free spirit as opposed to his other half who loads herself with responsibilities willingly? Love it.

All the characters have interesting concepts, goals and there were so many interesting roads to take. Chloe was set up for an awesome redemption that would have been top tier...if they followed through with it. That's the problem though. They don't follow through. Not to mention the obsessive nature love is conveyed as. Also they don't focus nearly enough on marinettes designing, or Adrian's development as a character. What does adrien like to do? I have no clue besides wanting freedom. And to hang with friends. Every other character has a passion but adrien just does as he was told.

What bugs me is just how good the show could have been. The idea of the miraculous was interesting. When marinette was able to combine powers I was hyped. I do think she shouldn't be able to use plagg and vice versa, but other than that it really opened doors to interesting options. I just...was so disappointed about execution. 90% of marinettes motivation is a crush. I would have loved if they explored more about her passion for designing and seeing her have a healthier crush on adrien....and vice versa. Adrien should be allowed to have a crush on ladybug that isn't so all consuming as well.

I just...really wish the writers had handled thing differently. I will say that I typically love the fights though.

like yes being queer does not excuse you from bad and problematic behaviors, but this is specifically about works by queer people being nitpicked and torn apart 'because it's not good rep' situations or 'not including every rep possible, when they were making a story personal to them/reflecting their own experience'

I think there must be a devil or something sitting on undel's shoulder for all the shit on FR that keeps getting altered without any warning and without anyone actually liking it. What happened to the days of the polling for "which tapir do u guys like best" and shit like that. No one is asking for these updates and they're actively harmful to players, heaven forbid they start fucking with gem genes. (I think that falls under some kind of fraud protection, you can't retroactively change a product someone got into something they didn't agree to purchase)

I think I'm gonna stop making new accents or even printing my existing ones until the new accent system is up because I can't stand dealing with the worst most archaic system known to man while they waste their manpower on... Ruining genes, and making invisible apparel.
