yesterday i saw a video of the presidents of 3 major universities (harvard, upenn, and mit) refusing to attest to the fact that "calling for a jewish genocide" is harassment, because apparently that insanely explicit phrase is "dependent on context" before it can be considered against their codes of conduct. let me repeat that. explicitly calling for a genocide of a group of people is not considered harassment, unless they deem the context worthy enough of it. threatening to kill people based on their identity is now acceptable on college campuses in the united states because the act of explicitly threatening to kill them solely based on their identity is not enough "actionable context" to violate school policy.

an unequivocal call for mass death and violence needs to be put into "context." how many more times do i need to say it?

okay so i guess someone saying "im going to kill you" doesn't count as a threat until they actually do it?? like oh you thought they were kidding?? like what other "context" does explicitly calling for a group of peoples' death need???

and this is barely even getting attention. i feel like the fact that the leaders of these so-called prestigious institutions doing mental gymnastics to validate their antisemitism is concerning, if not the fact that they won't even acknowledge the heinous notion of the words "calling for a jewish genocide" being an acceptable part of speech when there are literally survivors of the last jewish genocide still alive to see them do it (not that there is a time limit on the acceptability of a statement like that, but just for some perspective, because apparently, that "context" is needed), or just the bare bones of it being they are excusing if not justifying by complicity the call to death of a group of people in general. the absurdity of that actually astounds me. the acceptability of it astounds me.

there are survivors of the last jewish genocide still alive, and people are not concerned about the call for the next one?? EXPLICITLY CALLING FOR THE DEATH OF A GROUP OF PEOPLE is "dependent on context"?? like hello??? know basic history please: if someone says they want to kill us, as a general rule of thumb we believe them, just based on past precedent.

how is it that someone with the mental capacity of an 8 month old learning object permanence is able to govern the leading institutions for thought and critical thinking in this country? "oh the jews are here right now, but even though i can see people explicitly calling for their deaths i will be so confused when the jews disappear at the hands of the very same people calling for their deaths! i wonder how this happened! where did the jews go!" how ludicrous does the situation have to get for people to pay attention, to condemn that? like this is concerning?? it's infuriating?? hello???
