I guess I can liveblog me watching the premiere of Genera+ion and I'll be honest im only watching this because Justice is in it haha.

Hi Chester this is cute but that would have been a dress code violation. Well at least this is realistic because he is getting a dress code write up.
I dont know how high-schools do this now but they had a bin of alternative clothing aka old school merchandise and extra gym clothes for you to change in.
This is semi realistic to how kids would talk to teachers in high-school aka not knowing the concept of boundaries.
Chester and Jules Vaughn would get along if only to steal eachothers clothes.

Overall: for a pilot this is meh very very lackluster, which is a bad sign for a pilot. There is little that makes this show special to me from the first episode. Which special can come from a lot of things but this episode did not have that special thing. I am going to watch the other two uploaded episodes to get a better idea of the show. I do think this show is much more realistic than a lot of other teen dramas. In terms of the scenarios happening are more palatable and the moments of 2nd hand embarrassment are realistic. Those moments thats are supposed to be funny or give you a chuckle feel very dry. In general the writing is......
I do think people who are adverse to programs like Skins and Euphoria (which euphoria is realistic but has dramatics and is very in your face about heavy topics) will enjoy this. This reminds me of shows like Degrassi and Grand Army with a bit more "grit" and not as graphic as other teen shows. Warning there is still some mentions, alluding to, and depictions of sexual encounters and p**n. If anyone else watched or watches this show im interested in your thoughts.

Glynda didn’t begin to know how to respond.
“We were born in the same year,” Cinder repeated, almost as if to remind herself, like swearing an oath. “We’ve always been each other’s destiny.”
“I always thought it was my destiny to die,” Glynda finally admitted. “Just like my mothers.”
“No,” Cinder said, distantly. “No, it isn’t.”

She looked at Cinder, studying every part of her face, and knew she was studied in turn; Cinder’s lips parted slightly as if she was about to speak, but she said nothing in the end.
But even without speaking, Glynda felt like she’d found an answer to a question she hadn’t had the courage to ask.

semi-liveblogging the wedding over the past few hours when i was typing in the restroom
the speeches are rly funny bd embarrass the couple (funny aside from the mention of my cousine wearing an inflatable dick at a bachelor party nd everyone laughing yikes) but god i just dont see any love in this cishet couple. they kiss and it looks so loveless. weddings r dumb. the wedding is ok i guess but im just getting tired from all the loud overwhelming family and extended family. i only have been at two other weddings before in my life and i now know why those were so forgettable. im tired.
right after i typed this in we did a group photo and the wedding photographer on a roof told us to make silly faces and of c my mom pulled at the outer corners of her eyes and mouth =____= i kinda wanted to say smth but she gets real fucking scary when i call her out on racism and shes said in the past she will slap me if i say she does smth racist again and so i just stood there like o_o real uncomfortable and oof everyone is just being like. other topic but i think it's typical for the area in the netherlands that we live in but everyone being seriously mean to each other but also meaning it in a friendly way somehow and it's so fucking annoying.
anyway we got food after that and my grumpiness went away for a while bc i was rly hungry and needed to take my meds bc the wedding party was ok but i only remembered the bad stuff
also family kept talking abt my other cousine needing to be w a boyfriend even if she isn't looking currently and urgh
i got cake after that but the guy who cut the cakes had no idea what was in them hcgxxgkhkj
now im on the toilet for ages to type this out
it's getting cold and i wanna go to our hotel to sleep but the evening party is abt to start in 30 minutes and ppl want to dance w me and i hate it bc no one can dance and i am TIRED this is too much noise and social interaction
so i look rly nice w cool eyemakeup and a pink long layered skirt and green n white shirt and my eye makeup is green n pink too and i got lots of compliments on it too :) the groom has a surprisingly pretty suit in mint green and the bride has makeup on done by a makeup artist w questionable skills but i do love the pearls in her hair
also my aunt is drunk as fuck nd we are worried for her

nanoha vivid liveblog: episode 3
And we’re back, to see our leads finally fight meet
I guess this liveblog is just Subaru and tea being cute together now
Sorry, nove, you’re stuck with a large, supportive family
Also, I know I’ve been gushing about various character designs a fair amount, but just in general I would like to praise the costuming on this show (is it still costuming if its animated?) theres a lot of variety and it all looks very nice and character distinct

She’s carrying so much guilt and loss and there’s just no way for her to find redemption, because it was all over centuries ago, and the girl she needs to save is long dead, and the world has changed and there isnt space anymore for the kind of heroism she needs

The sound effects for this fight are these sort of sonic claps everytime they hit each other, which is real cool
The translation used here is disposition, but the japanese word is kokoro, which gets translated more often as heart.
anyways, all the dialogue in this section is a great fusion of fighting anime rival stuff and nanoha style friendship/romance
please do not pick up einhart’s strength bullshit

Okay, this is about like all the trauma and war memories and guilt and stuff, but im entertained by thought that einhart is plagued by memories of resolving tax disputes or something
This is really the heart of nanoha as a whole, wanting to understand others, even when opposing each other
Oh wait I lied this is actually the heart of nanoha
Vivio is very much her mothers daughter

i guess “einhart stratos has arrived” is her catchphrase? its a weird mix of arrogant, polite, and weirdly formal that suits her a lot

okay, nanoha’s transformation sequences are also going to be weird about it, but that aside this is really cool and i appreciate how happy and fighty vivio is throughout it
and of course her version of adult mode is combat focused

The sound effects to indicate a hit landing are a lot loduer and deeper this time around, which is a neat touch
Remember back in season 1 where everyone just stood around and shot beam attacks?

Nanoha is a big fan of contrasting a solitary antagonist figure with the protagonist’s circle of support. That’s something that can go sideways very quickly, bc you end up with a lot of unfortunate implications about people who don’t have that kind of love going evil, but the majority of antagonists in nanoha aren’t actually villains. So instead you get a lot of lonely children, often being abused or manipulated, who end up being offered a place to belong with the heroes. And a lot of times those heroes explicitly draw their courage and kindness and moral convictions from the love and connections they have been shown, which adds a lot of depth. And then the next season around the old antagonists are the ones who’ve found that support, and now can offer it to the next generation.

the actual fighting and punching through walls is fine, but god forbid you should be rude about it
okay, its really good that this is being said. bc as fun as the whole reincarnation aspect is, einhart needs to recognize vivio as her own person separate from the sankt kaiser. hopefully, this will also help einhart distinguish herself more from the hegemon
In general, Nanoha has done a lot with themes of self-identity when dealing with issues like cloning and transferred memories, and im glad to see that continue
