My condolonces to the Kaishin fans, but Kaito and Shinichi being revealed to be cousins is so funny though, can you imagine if there was a family reunion??

Yusaku's like "hey Shinichi we're gonna meet my twin's family who I haven't seen in years and just found out about now" and when they show up, Kaito and Conan immediately lock eyes and do the spider-man pointing meme or something.

Shinichi/Conan will immediately guess that Kaito is his long-time arch rival and Kaito's internally screaming, just, "OH SHIT OH FUCK ARE YOU KIDDING ME WHAT THE HELL" and wonder why the world has it out for him.

Before I sleep, here to drop something.

I watched the new Spiderverse movie and I'm now hyperfixating. Do not read the rest of this post if you've not seen it and care about spoilers.

Alright. Now that they're gone, I can rant to you!

IT'S SO GOOD. THE COLOR LANGUAGE? AUGH. I FUCKING LOVED IT.

I Was terrified it was gonna be rushed and, don't get me wrong, it was fast-paced, but they made it work!

I dunno if it's just me but I felt like Puss in Boots: The last Wish was rushed. It seemed to go by really fast plot-wise and I enjoyed it!!! But, still, it left more to be desired. And I'm so glad Spiderverse wasn't like that.

Originally, yeah, they were meant to be a sona but... I decided against it. I liked the name too much to change it though.

And yes, I absolutely adore Hobie. Fight me.

Here's some lore about this fella!

So y'know how in every universe, Spiderman has to lose someone who dies saving a child? Well. I decided that Blues was that child.

The person who saved them? They didn't know. But. Y'know how close you feel to someone after they save your life?

It doesn't matter if they knew the person who saved them, they just knew that 'holy. Someone just sacrificed themselves for me so if I don't turn out great that's going to waste'

Blues is still a very cheerful person! Currently.

Though, like all, they have dark moments of getting lost in thought and remembering that moment. Years of therapy still couldn't get it out of their head. Are they worth someone's life yet? They can't seem to tell themselves so. Can anyone really be worth another's?

On a lighter note: Spider cat is their therapy animal. I don't take no for an answer. They also are often the one to start up karaoke where the entire corporation just starts screaming all the spiderman theme songs so it's a garbled mess.

Blues also does indeed enjoy Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road."

They also clutch their cape and lift it to puff up like an owl to intimidate when they're startled.

Their spider sense is a bit more intense cause. They got. Social anxiety!!!! Yippee... So they're hyper-aware of tiny threats *anywhere*. That person about to bump into you? Nope, not anymore. Bout to get something in your eye? Couldn't dodge it but you fucking felt it coming!

Even though Gwen isn't too keen on friends, I think Spider-Blues would try anyway. Same hood! Same hood.

Also, yes, Spider-Blues is based on a peacock spider.

And. Since apparently Spider people need to lose TWO PEOPLE. Spider-Blues dad was also their universe's Peter Parker (obviously not spiderman, though. He's just a regular guy in that world.) And uh. Well, he's the one to die. That's all I know. I haven't figured out how he dies yet or when or all that jazz.

and im having intensive brainrot, so ill tell u why.

lets give context to the title of the poem.

Scheherazade is a character/narrator of a story called a thousand and one nights in which a king, who is known to marry women and behead them the next morning, marries Scheherazade. in order to avoid being killed she tells him a story that ends on a cliffhanger so the king will have no choice but to keep her alive to listen to the rest of the story. this goes on for a thousand nights up until she runs out of stories and at that point the king does not kill her as he loves her

now that being said, owen is the king. apo is Scheherazade.

the first line is very important (to me lol) because the dream of the bodies in the lake are in actuality the hopes and dreams that the people in the maze are alive (hense dressing them in warm clothes as if they are alive, a lot of people in the maze like to talk about the dead as if they are alive because they are in denial that they are dead)

the second line, the one about the horses is actually the freedom everyone in outsiders craves. they want to run free from the fact they are in a maze. they also want to run free from the fact they may have done something wrong in their past to have ended up there or that they are apart of something Bigger.

i dont have much for the tree metaphor nor the policeman’s radio, but i can offer the thought that they may find comfort in the fact that they COULD stay in the maze forever, even if that later is proven false by the meltdown.

the carpet part and the days being bright red reminisce on the best parts of owen and apos relationship and the part with the kiss we can gloss over and pass as non-literal and instead take it as a metaphor for vulnerability and intimacy everytime they “kissed” (displayed real vulnerability to each other) there was another apple to slice. the apple to slice being the prolonging of their relationship and their love for each other (no matter what kind) this connect to them specifically because apo pie obviously but in a literary sense because apo is trying to prolong what he has with owen. he is also trying to escape from owen’s prejudice towards demons by keeping him happy with him.

i also dont have much for the window pane and the light but i suppose it connects to how much time they have in the maze + the clearing. apo only has so long to convince owen to leave his prejudice ways and by noon, owen will remember his past and perhaps return to his ways. apo perhaps knows that it will all end. for him, his love for his now dead family ruined him and its gonna happen again. thats really all i have for the “and love too will ruin us” line srry

the bodies being possessed by light im not sure if i have anything good for it but hear me out. the light is the fresh start given to them by the maze. the absence of memory is a semi blessing because it allows them love even if the love will one day be ruined (by memories and betrayal)

owen is telling apo to promise theyll never get used to this type of intimacy or vulnerability. unfortunately getting used to it was inevitable, and it doesnt end well for this Scheherazade (apo). while apo was maybe never gonna get used to saying these things to owen, owen has gotten used to hearing these things from apo

So I'm feeling less dead on my feet now and wanted to share something nice.

I like little kids! I rarely interact with them because I'm an only child and didn't grow up with a lot of relatives.

At the place where I have my storage unit the lady had her kids with her today, and one tried to mimic her and gave me a sticky note with a "receipt" (it's a scribble. It's adorable ok?) Andher other kid handed me my receipt when I paid for my unit and like. I love kids. They're adorable. It made my day. I really hope I get the chance to be a parent someday. I know its not all sunshine and rainbows but children are wonderful.
