the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

sigzai hc that dazais suicide jokes make sigma rly worried and sometimes send him into a panic attack bc he doesnt want to lose dazai anf the stupid twink realizes it eventually (sigma refuses to say anything bc thats just how dazai copes and he doesnt want to somehow make it worse) and stops making as many self deprecating jokes/becomes more aware of how much he means to people . i dont even know they make me insane

ok. hear me out. bear with me. ive been struck with an idea for a kny au in which basically genya and kanao become main characters.

keeping in line with the whole "5 senses" theme, genya would have a heightened sense of taste and kanao would have good eyesight. :)

#i will warn you only once: tsc spoilers #literally just finished it as i am drafting this its 5am where i live #so you may be subjected to some nonsense #that all being said i have thoughts.and feelings #the kevin was lovely and tasted delicious! jean defending him at every turn even when he swears to hell and back he'll kick his ass #the kevjean was surprising i was only half expecting that #the dog metaphors i have to say i need this one cashed in. nora run me my check #im joking of course dont quote me on it #jean taking kevins promise to the end and living on it is seriously so. well.#'be careful with him' 'take kevin's name out of your ignorant mouth' 'you promised me'#also kevin getting called the court's queen had me tender and on my back oml #jean's relationship with the trojans is sweet and he is very interesting and complicated #a character with many moving parts im sure #there were a few things i did not care for #namely jeremy and the trojans felt remarkably flat to me bar lucas (by far the most interesting) and catalina on occasion #i didnt quite enjoy jeremy's pov and felt like he spent perhaps way too much time worrying over jean? if that makes sense #i wish he had some more complexity to him or really anything to catch a hook on #all we know is hes attractive and smiley and gets along terribly with his family #so much of his character is sucked out by jean he didnt feel like much more than a plot device to me #which i wouldnt mind if jeremy wasnt the literal main character alongside jean #i was living for everything jean thought but had to drag myself through jeremy's pov if im honest #uuuuh what else. neil! funny. deranged. i have to love him #andrew couldnt give less of a fuck about jean which is funny as all fuck #two bugs placed in the same habitat ignoring each other #the thing with elodie i thought was complicated. i wish we knew some more about her or that shed been mentioned a little earlier #but im assuming thats a topic to be revisited #uuuuuuuh yeah so thats most of it. i think my first thought and the one that sticked out the most to me is that the book felt remarkably #pedestrian #not necessarily in a bad way #it lacked to me one of the main appeals of aftg which were the numerous interesting side characters

I really enjoy comics!! I like poking thru graphic novels and webcomics, so I've fallen into the habit of exposing myself to lots of different styles over time that I'm fairly explorative with my art. It gives me a lot to study, especially since different artists have different strengths and preferences

I also think of myself as a simple person, so I'm not strongly attached to anything in particular... I notice a lot of artists find their ground in certain interests or aesthetics. But since I'm not really like that, I try to put a bit of myself in whatever I draw to connect with my art better. Its probably why I like taking creative liberty when making fanart lol

im also drawn to indie creative work like games and animation! they tend to be extremely varied and unique from each other, which is great since I work from my own sense of curiosity. I also hate repetition, so having things that set themselves apart visually or otherwise is something I like to look for.

#thank u for sending this in!!! i had fun answering this.. i had to think really hard so im glad it helped me do some reflection ^_^#on top of all this im a very visual person so i look at things if theyre eyecatching and then see if i like it for any of these qualities #afterwards.. so i do tend to lean to cutesy styles like soft shapes and big eyes but i wouldnt go as far as making it a calling card for my #art style since i love to keep shaking things up whenever i can. if that makes sense? or u could say im impulsive and u would be right #i rly like gigi dg and plushpon since theyve been a huge inspiration for my art over time.. as for comics i remember being really into #always raining here and colorless... its been a while since ive looked at any webcomics though so maybe i should make time to do that #BONE was one of my favorites as a kid because of the storytelling and art style even if i could never read the books in order #although im also really picky so even if i dont have a set taste there are some things i dont really find interesting like superhero comics #i do wish i had an interest that i could pour my art into instead of just drawing whatever on a whim #i think nature comes pretty close but thats more of an appreciation than smth like. birdwatching or camping or animals #so rather than wanting my art to be known for a certain thing i think ill try and be happy with drawing things i know i like and people #liking whatever that might be. shrugs #yapping #ask

thinking about the identity crisis i went though as a kid cuz my parents had told me very simply that my mom was pashtun and my dad was punjabi and they were both from peshawar and that was that. understandably they had simplified it so much for me cuz i was a kid, but whenever other brown people asked where i was from or "what are you" and i mentioned punjabi and they'd be like oh wow where? lahore? and i'd just be like nope lol peshawar and they would press me about how my dad could be punjabi if he was from peshawar and i just didn't have an answer. when i got a little older, i started saying well borders are manmade, you don't necessarily have to be from one ethnicity cuz you're from a certain area (and i was right! i just didn't know at the time why i was right).

as i got older and i found out more about our family background, it all made more sense to me as i came to know that the punjabi side of us was allegedly from a great-great-great grandfather from gurdaspur who had moved to bannu way back when. but as my interest in linguistics and anthropology and history grew, i realized that my old explanation of "borders are manmade" was true anyway!!! prime examples being speakers of Hindko and Derawali, as well as the Hazarewal community in general. anyways, i could go on about this, but it's all just so endlessly fascinating that i wouldn't know where to stop so i'll stop now.

#also thinking about the fact that my dads family speaks derawali / seraiki and i keep wondering how his family managed to maintain such a #strong punjabi identity despite being only a fraction punjabi 'by blood' and living in kpk for generations #their ancestral home is in bannu and they have no ties to gurdaspur anymore as far as i know #and we have more recent kashmiri and tibetan ancestors but that gets completely overlooked (that could prob be for patriarchal reasons too #since i rmr my dad once saying 'you are what your dad is' which is so stupid and makes no sense. made me roll my eyes so hard)#but anyways im wondering if any of his great-grandparents or whoever were originally from bannu/surrounding areas and thats why they kept #the language OH BUT IM ALSO REMEMBERING NOW my grandma grew up in gujarat (present day pakistan) and also both my grandparents lived in #qadian in india for quite some time in their youth bc they were ahmadi #wondering how many of my other ancestors lived in qadian as well since they all very strongly identify as ahmadi #qadian is in punjab so maybe they married people there as well!!!#anyways just... so many unanswered questions!

yall dont wanna see the rant i just went on trying to math out if Clarisse and Silena = Achilles and Patroclus, then does the Battle for Manhattan in TLO = the Trojan War, and in which case who’s who. is the Titan Army the Trojans? or is Olympus the Trojans because they’re defending Olympus (i.e. Trojans defending Troy)? If Percy is also Achilles, kinda, cause curse of Achilles, what’s everybody’s roles then? What do we do with two Achilles? is Ethan Nakamura Hector? Does Luke = Paris? (in which case Hermes = Priam? which actually works really well cause Hermes did aid Priam in the Trojan war). or is Luke... Helen? Or is Luke just straight up the Trojan Horse?

Also side-tangent, if Clarisse and Silena are Achilles and Patroclus, we can make some guesses for who Chris Rodriguez vaguely is analogous to, but not really Charles Beckendorf? at least purely in terms of love interests. Which is interesting. Again: who’s who. I simply must know.

It's always talked about how bad Leo must have suffered after the movie, after being thrown around and punched by the Krang.

But, what about the others. When you think about it, all of them should be broken down smothered in wounds and bruises, broken bones etc. Not just Leo.

Mikey and Donnie were gripped and squeezed by the Krang, and it was very clearly painful for the two of them. Then they were both flung and 'PUNCHED' by the Krang. Hard enough for them to be LAUNCHED from the ship. After that, the two of them should have suffered SOME broken bones or cracks in their shells. Like how people imagine post-movie Leo...

Then there's the end where Mikey opened the portal. In the future opening the portal was enough to completely destroy him. Yeah, I guess he had Raph and Donnie there this time, but he still did most of the heavy lifting.

I get that this movie was heavily based on Leo and his characterisation of growing up and into a leader, but I think the aftermath on the others is sometimes glossed over!

Leo wasn't the only one that nearly died. All four of them did. Which is even more heartbreaking

Okay, I know this was probably not meant to be harsh or heavily critical of my blog, but it felt very passive-aggressive.

Do I think the other turtles have suffered major trauma from the invasion? Yeah, of course.

Just because I focus on Leo doesn't mean I don't care about the other turtles, but Leo is my favorite and also the easiest for me to write, so, I write and draw a lot of Leo-centric stuff.

If you want angst and recovery arcs of the other turtles, there is content the focuses on that, but you probably won't find much here.

I don't want to come off as too harsh, but I'm not shy about Leo being my fav. At the end of the day, if you don't like my blog, you dont have to stay

I'll also say, I could have read the tone of this wrong, but I would still like this to be a PSA: Most of my content will be Leo-focused
