listening to the gideon audiobook at work and having to take a 10 second pause and put my head down on my desk to absorb the argument where harrow tells gideon that her becoming a lyctor has nothing to do with gideon at all and that she plays no part in harrow ascending and how she’d sooner wipe her hands clean before having to speak to gideon again once she’s ascended knowing that gideon plays the MOST important role in harrow becoming a lyctor and that she literally cannot do it without gideon making the biggest sacrifice someone can make and how desperately they’ll both wish they could say even two words to each other again in just a few weeks . having a normal one today i’m fine
